Its been a while since I came here. It was near my house, thats why I couldnt come here. I have my car so I park the car in their parking lot. There are so many cars in there and luckily there are some vacant ones that are available. After I park my car I enter the place. I havent eaten breakfast so Im starving already. I went to the food court and started to look at what to eat. Its hard to choose because there are a lot of foods here. At the end I chose to buy a milkshake, slice cake, tacos and fruit shake. All of it tasted good but the milkshake was too tasteless for me. It has a lot of ice thats why it got tasteless. After I ate I went to the department store to buy clothes. And Im happy that U bought at a sale price. Cant believe that I got a discounted price.
My reason behind the 3 stars was not the shopping experience itself but the womans restroom in the food court, absolutely disgusting, toliets had urine all over seats and floors and not one stall had a hook on door for bags or purse so you literally had to put your stuff on the urine covered floors. I couldnt do it so I immediately opened door scrubbed my hands and left and walked into a department store and used their restroom. For what is to be considered an upscale mall they sure dont clean very well or if at all. Especially in a food court that should really be clean. The tables were not cleaned we had to clean our own. The stores are good this is more a cleanliness issue.
The Yorktown Center is a nice place to to wander around in bad weather. The entire mall is clean and well lit. The stores are open and inviting. The common areas are welcoming and not too noisy. The food court is diverse with several fresh options including restaurants that cater to vegetarians. Overall a good atmosphere.
Its like a lot of malls. Two levels with numerous escalators, a food court, family bathrooms, child play areas, massage chairs, and plenty of stores of all types. I especially like the Tea Canal, which has samples, loose tea, cast iron teapots, and tables where one can taste the various offerings.
First of all I dont like mall but my review wont be affected with that. Mall is good. You can find variety of brand food shoes clothes desert kiosk. There are kids play area if you need. Biggest restroom is upstairs and inside the food court and I didnt see another restroom thats sucks. If you need to go restroom it could be hard and you might need to walk a lot. There is big internet problem. I have t mobile which is not working good here. The mall offers free wifi which I tried and its not working good either. May be they dont want you to keep busy with phone and so you can shop lol. Clean and neat as I see. Parking easy. Its not really crowded right now(saturday) but this is reason of online business I guess.
I just wanted to warn all the parents about a playground that York Town mall has.The slides there is very dangerous for children. My granddaughter was inside this slide and another kid started hitting her and the girl she was playing with and pushing them against the wall.I didn’t know this because the whole slide is invisible, she came to me and told me what happened. Its been 2 weeks and I still can’t calm down after this situation.Slides like this must be made with see through materials so parents can see their kid.
This mall was spared from the fate of other Chicagoland malls like Stratford Square NY maintaining a fresh, relevant and modern approach to shopping in the Amazon era. You can catch me here EVERY day after work when its cold out taking my furry friend on a walk! The fact theyre animal-friendly and my pooch can tag along on my shopping adventures makes this my #1 shopping destination in Chicagoland - and I live 45 minutes away and pass about 3 malls on the way here.
I enjoy the anchor stores in this mall such as Von Maur, Carsons, and the extra large Marshalls stores. Today we went for a special event put on by wttw and the mall. The children enjoyed making crafts, getting freebies/snacks and the wttw performance with Clifford the big red dog. The children also enjoyed playing in the new modern play area. We did eat at the mall and we loved the area of the food court specifically for children with small tables and chairs. The family bathrooms are wonderful with tiny tots size toilets, clean changing area and even a microwave to warm a bottle if necessary. Overall, I really enjoy shopping at this mall.
It was my first time visiting this spot. Inside it was extremely perfect and pleasant assortment of shops. Secure spot to walk, shop and eat. The stopping is impeccably coordinated and proficient. Its a decent spot to invest energy and purchase amazing garments. Wasnt a many individuals there. I will suggest this excellent retail outlet!
Overall a nice mall! it had all the stores i wanted to visit and was just in general nice to walk around in. the food court area was really pretty with the huge windows and lots of natural lighting. the food in the food court from the japanese place was really good too (i cant remember the exact name). one star off because in the middle of the mall there was a popcorn vendor and the cheesy popcorn there smelled terrible and the smell was in a huge area of the mall. other than that, it was a great mall that i will be returning to
First time visiting today and it was a great experience. Very clean mall with a creative layout. A large variety of stores. There were plenty of places to sit and all the chairs were clean and comfortable also the massage chairs, which I always use. They even had a kids barbershop and people even bring their dogs there! Never seen that before. Very interesting mall. Will be back!
It was very overwhelming honestly coming from a small town but it was quite amazing to look at all the stores and just how big it is from my own mall I go to. There was quite the variety of shops and they had some good choices for food as well. Definite come by if you want a nice time
One of the best malls in IL. Well kept, well lit and decorated interior. Some outdoor shops/ restaurants in the circle mall drive around the mall as well. Feels safe and has all the mall basics as far as stores go. Not massive, but big enough. Has a TJ Maxx/ Homegoods and a gym which you dont see often. They added some murals- cute!
Great mall very friendly staffs. JCPenney and Von Maur great stores to shop. JCPenney department store very friendly store. Great services and helpful staff including the mangers very nice to me. Store is very clean JCPenney and Von Maur great stores to shop. Small stores very clean and organized. House keeper and security people very friendly keep the mall clean and safe.¹
This is a very nice place to shop. The building has a very open design with lots of space to walk, sit, and eat. There are quite a few dining options and many stores to peruse. Parking space is ample, but like any mall you may have to walk a bit depending on the time and day you visit. I was impressed at the cleanliness of this mall considering its size and the fact that it was a weekend when I visited. Overall a great place to shop and enjoy a day out of the house!
Pretty nice mall, when I drove in the parking lots were FULL! I wonder how they deal with employee parking here..... I walked into the mall and it didn’t seem as packed as the parking lot made it seem. They have nice stores, Marshals was nice. There “Last Chance” store is also a good draw, although I didn’t find anything I liked. They have a great size food court. Their outdoor area of the mall is beautiful too.
Great mall! Its multi-level and has a pretty big and adventurous childrens play area! They also have a small indoor water fountain which people can sit around and enjoy. And they have a pretty good dining area with quite a few places to eat at and plenty of seating! Plenty of parking and easy access inside! Love this place!
Our visit was pleasant. We had to wear masks. We went to the food court for dinner with friends. We had to eat on the lower level because of the no in dining. Whats the difference? In a food court with a large area with tables your not dining in a particular establishment. That being said it did not take away from our experience. We chose Panda Express. Good choices, always fresh. I had Beijing beef, orange chicken and mixed veggies. There are many many restaurants to choose from.
This mall is great if you are looking for a place to hang out in the winter. The store selection is ok, but it really depends on your tastes. There are few stores however that would draw me to this mall over another. I would pick another place to hang out if the weather is decent. The food court is a great addition but they could add a couple more household names. Still a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon and I love the renovations they have made!
Really nice shopping centerLots of name brand stores and plenty of safe, secure parking. The biggest secret are the several upscale dining establishments. All of the restaurants are large and roomy with really good staff persons. Each restaurant has large menu options. All of the restaurants serve large portions and large, delicious mixed and straight refreshments. Feel lonely? Go to these restaurants. The atmosphere in the restaurants is really uplifting to the soul!
Great for shopping! The new food court bathrooms are awesome. The kids play area is really nice on the main level, I just wished they didnt have that second door for the kids area towards Von Maur. Ive talked to many moms and they all complain their little ones sneaking to the arcade area without realizing because of that door.
Well, I always enjoy a good Bargain Hunt. So if you have time to go slow n look for deals. This could be your kind clothing outlet. This store gets crowded fast so come early. Last Chance appear to be practicing in social distance w/cart cleaning and after purchase counter cleaning. As well as announcing that face masks are to be wore at all time doing your visits n covering your nose and mouth.Oh, Friday and Saturday could be your best discount deal days if you find their Color Tag items for the additional 80percent off designer clothingYesterday I bought some new blk Aquatalia ankle boots regularly $450.00 for $37.00 and a Free People Elongated glazed sweater/dress $40.00.
One of the best malls Ive been to, and it had every store I was looking for and on top of that each one of the stores I went in had more items and more of a variety and not just variety but a lot of the different types of variety. Plus everybody there was very nice easy to talk to and very helpful I recommend going to this mall if youre in Downers Grove you will have a great experience also Id like to add you should most definitely find what youre looking for and if youre not looking for something youre going to find something anyways LOL. PS the food court was great
Great selection of resturants and AMC theater. Inside food court if you want quick bite with no table service or wonderful restaurants you can get to from inside or others outside. Plenty of parking. Inside mall to get store to store, Very clean and Christmas is great shopping here..
Yorktown is a wonderful mall, diverse and always changing or updating itself. Food court is clean and balanced with food options. I just found out as of last month (june) you can now bring your dog to the mall!! Who knew!? So stores will have paw print stickers on the bottom window or part of the foundation, which means digs are allowed in the store. And for when dogs are not allowed they will have a bone which are also in the same location to let owners know they are not allowed in stores. Its rather a unique experience and idea. But sweet for those of use who dont have a dog but love to pet em. The mall is clean, open and good stores, lots of them remaining the same and a few new. Check em out.
Ive been to many malls but I really love this one!! Very organized and great variety :) they have an area for families for example I am a nursing mom and they offer a special place where there are restrooms for family, a changing area not just one table but a few very comfortable a place for families to wait and 2 nursing rooms!! Love this!! While I nurse my kids can sit and watch a movie and I can see them from any nursing room :) safe place!! Its these little things that makes a difference! Also they have areas with outlets to charge your devices!! Very modern place!!
Nice mall, smaller than others nearby, but well saturated. Still has some good stores, and the food court is new and really nice, with modern design. The middle of the mall has a nice open space suitable for events and performances, which could be viewed from the level above. The parking on the east side is a little weird and a little difficult to find the way out to Butterfield Rd. without cutting across some lanes. Construction on the north side makes driving around the mall a bit difficult
I truly do enjoy coming to Yorktown. I do miss Carsons however but this mall has definitely evolved into something great. Their outdoor restaurants and indoor food court have been renovated to offer a visual appeal to the everyday shopper. In addition, the mall now offers multiple play areas for children for all those parents that want to go shopping and offer some fun for their kids.
Its my childhood mall. I like it because it is not too crazy big but still has a lot of great stores, restaurants, and movie theater. Plenty of free parking too. Recently remodeled. I love Von Maur (which is not super common) and Charming Charlie. Great outdoor part especially in the summer.
Yorktown mall has many great places to shop, eat, and even has a place for kids to play. They are building a very big theater there, (Very very big)which I am excited to go to soon.Overall Yorktown is a great place to shop and eat and would highly recommend going there if you need anything.(They also have a great candy store which you should really visit)8/10
The store selection is pretty bland. Too many large department stores that are mostly empty. We need more modern and relevant stores. The popular stores are always off to the side and secluded. Makes the mall feel less inviting. Hate the layout of the food court too.
This mall is probably the best mall I’ve been to. You don’t have to circle the mall like others, to find parking. The stores are great and the mall is super clean. They have lots of stores to look at and one day there just wasn’t enough. I would definitely recommend going early if you go so you have enough time to look.
Pretty decent mall where you can find everything you want to shop for. Not very kid friendly tho, didnt spot any gaming arcades or anything.. Just a small playground inside the mall with swings and stuff. Quite a few options for eating though! It had H&M and forever21, so works for me.. I liked it!
Stopped by to get something as a gift, they have plenty of stores but unfortunately there are some empty stores and that does not look so great for the mall. If you are looking for inexpensive stores, you will find them here. you can also find a place to cut your hair as well as your nails. They also offer a food court but did not get a chance to try any of them. Not the most appealing mall, but feel free to give it a try.
So many stores! Honestly, I just come to the mall to walk around and window shop. When I can, I do enjoy throwing down at one of their many selective stores. I give this place 5 stars, because brick and mortar stores need some love. Plus, I love to take my son here to walk and to see that this is how I used to shop. I literally had to go to the store with my parents and try out clothes and shoes, before making a choice on one and purchasing them. I strongly encourage anyone to visit, because malls are becoming extinct.
Yorktown Mall has done an amazing job with renovations thus far. The mall could use some new elevators and of course fill in the empty venues, but overall its a great place to shop again.Theres a great mix of local shops and chains, the food court is full of great eateries and the family rest area is ready to handle all the little messes the little ones can make. Take your family and enjoy!
If your into shopping, this is a place for you. From high end stores to less expensive stores. All having some kind of sale. Love the JC Penny in Yorktown mall. Plus for you foodies, many, many different options for your palette. Chinese, Pasta, Steak House and burgers just to name a few delights! One of the better malls in the burbs, without having to drive forever.
Typical retail stores and an improving food court. Several restaurants and retailers just outside of the mall are worth checking out. However, there is an entire strip of empty stores on the outer perimeter that is quite depressing. The mall needs to do something with this property.
I love Yorktown Center Mall because of the great atmosphere, food court where you have different vendors to choose from and different areas in the food court for you to sit, relax and enjoy your meal. You have the stores right there to meet every need, you can go into the Major stores entrances if you dont want to walk through the whole mall, you can sit out by the food court entrance on a few benches just to take in the scenery, you can use the mall to get some extra steps of exercise in, you can bring your kids for ice cream and if the whole family is together you can allow them to go where they want to especially if you have teenagers, they are not in your way and you are not in theres, plenty of parking spaces with a smooth parking lot
Ok so I love going to the mall this one I spend a lot of time at. Last chance is right next to marshalls and home goods honestly Im always out for a bargain and this mall has it in one spot but last chance is one of those shops you have to have a lot of time to look threw everything. Its also a good place for a walk. Usually the food court is on the first floor not here the food court is upstairs. Just go and spend a day. You will enjoy.
Yorktown mall has seen many renovations and extensions in recent years. Nice food court and many well known department and small stores. Convenient location with many restaurants within and close by. Major plazas within minutes nearby. Oak Brook shopping centre is a couple of miles away.
Beautiful mall. Recently renovated food court. Well balanced selection of stores and food. There are things for everyone to do no matter your age. Well maintained, clean, and bright. Ample parking. Charging stations for electric vehicles. Many good restaurants on the mall drive along with the AMC Theatres and the Westin Lombard.
Only went into Von Maur, which is nice but overpriced, and one worker there, named Sonia, is fake nice to customers and ignorantly rude when she thinks they cant hear her (or maybe she just doesnt care). Everyone else who worked there was super nice and attentive, and didnt act like I was bothering them with my business.
Yorktown Mall has a variety of shops and fine dining and cuisine and movies and much more. A new puppy store, wine bar, sushi bar (that has an excellent happy hour every night of the week, except maybe weekends like Saturday & Sunday), a flat grill and plenty other amenities.
Made a visit to get some exercise. Got a nice deal on a sheet set from JCPenneys (1/2 off). Stopped into Spencers to see some fun and naughty stuff too!! FUN visit!! Oh...and if you like teriyaki chicken...head on over to the food court and check out sarku....theirs is quite tasty!
As more and more stores close Yorktown will be a survivor. They really are working hard to make sure that people keep coming here by adding enertianment, discount stores like Last Chance, services, fitness centers, resturants, and even new stores. This mall still is really fun to go to and will be for a very long time.
Great variety of stores to shop at! Amazingly, both parking lot and stores were pretty empty even on the WEEKEND!!!! Im certain this is due to online shopping. We had disappointing help by one associate at Penneys, I believe he was temp seasonal help so his heart isnt in his work.
This place has really improved over the last decade or so. Not as crazy as Woodfield or Oak Brook in terms of the crowds. The additions of the restaurants and smaller stores on the outer area have given Yorktown new life. Sad that Carsons closed but hopefully it will reopen. I like Von Maur a lot and will go there to splurge if I want some higher quality clothing. Excellent food court. Something for everybody in this mall, whether you are on a budget or feel like treating yourself to something nicer Yorktown is my first choice in the area.
I typically love this place.Cheap movies on Tuesdays, usually clean, big comfy reclining seats with big table tops for dinner if your taking advantage of the dine in option; and if you do the food is pretty darn good. It sounds silly but I suggest the chicken fingers; its delicious and comes with awesome bread, coleslaw, fries, and a great honey mustard.Anyway, I digress...Point is we were in an IMAX theatre this time and it was dirty, small seats, small table, seats didnt recline, we got an additional charge on our credit card, AND someone else got our credit card receipt!!!Luckily the person who got it and signed for it was a family member with out group, but it could have EASILY been given to a stranger and I am VERY unhappy about that.We all went back...To get the extra charge tell, to sign our receipt, and for our family member to get their receipt and although the person who handled the situation apologized, she was more concerned with justifying what happened, and I didnt get the sense she cared, more like we were a nucience and I am not ok with that either. Not sure if well be coming back unless they give us a reason to.
This mall has one of the nicest setups for a family bathroom area. Its located at the back of The Eatery food court, which is on the second floor, between Von Maur and JCPenneys. Its partitioned and its just past the family eating lounge area. It has a large screen TV with 2 cushioned chairs to watch, the doorless nook for breastfeeding has a recliner for TV watching, 4 changing pad stations with sinks, library books on the walls, a microwave for warming, 2 actual spacious family bathrooms with mini kid toilets and another seated room (Im guessing as I never saw into it). The food court has many food options, the family eating lounge has kid sized tables and chairs that can hold adult weight. This alone makes it a great option for visiting compared to other malls.
Let me start off by saying awesome experience. From the moment I walked in to the waiting area I was treated like royalty. Then escort to dressing room. Directed to where the ladies room was. Asked if I would like something cold to drink. Then the wonderful experience begun, I had a relaxing massage out if this world...sorry I dont remember her name but she was good. Then my dream facial started. Still so relaxed this soft voice asked if I needed anything and if I was ready to continue my relaxing journey. I said oh yes. Those fingers was on point. The Best facial ever ( Ive had many). Roshawn was a little bit of heaven. I was taken to a beautiful place that I didnt want to wake up from. I love everything about your spa and will definitely be back. Thank you for having such caring people at your establishment.
I shop at Carsons and JCPenney because these stores have great sales and coupons. The merchandise that youre looking for is usually in stock or they can order it and have it shipped to your home. Theres a nice food court (in the mall) and restaurants in the surrounding area and great.
Very pristine and simple mall, pretty good food choices, indoor, lots of seating all over the place, bubble tea, coffee choices and Wi-Fi. This is the only mall I can actually do some work on my laptop and have everything within 5 minutes if I have any random cravings or just need a break, its quite ideal for writing.
Security suggested I leave right at the moment when I appeared at the mall and parked mine vehicle. Their main argument is they don’t need my business. Lombard police officers suggested that this is private property and I am trespassing the premises even though I have the intent to purchase some goods and food. I am not coming back with my children to this place, neither I would recommend it to my friends and family as a hostile place for people who wants to get food or clothes.
They need to get rid of the door to the play area facing Carsons!!!! Some Grandma didnt close it all the way and my toddler noticed and attempted to escape!!!! This same Grandma was letting her Granddaughter climb the fixture where the slide is and didnt even care if she slipped and cracked her head open! Security should monitor the play area for idiots like that or Yorktown should hire a play area facilitator to ensure the safety since most parents and caretakers are too busy on their phones or gossiping with each other while sipping on their $8 coffees to notice their kids! Plus..... Stroller parking for a reason! 8 strollers total and mine was the ONLY ONE on the designated stroller parking area!!!!
Its a mall. Boring but effective. The recently remodeled food court removed any personality and replaced it with white chairs, walls, tables, floors, and fixtures. They added some happy mini bar for people who like $10 cups of cheap beer. The childrens area is actually decent, but the games are almost all gone. Theyve spent the last 10 years ignoring the indoor mall and heavily expanding the outdoor food area for mid to upper class restaurants. The theatre thats actually across the parking lot in its own building has really raised its standards and is now a good food and alcohol establishment with comfortable reclining chair beds. Stay out of the upper center of the main mall if you have breathing problems, as they always have at least a half a dozen perfume and scent shops assaulting you.
I like shopping here becasuse its a big ample place. Lots of room to walk around. Even if busy, you wont bump into people because its roomy. Not like Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg where you are constantly bumping into people. Yorktown has great stores: Victoria Secrets, Von Maur, Gap, Baby Gap, Famous Footwear, lots of sports stores, shoe stores, JC Penny, even an inflatables with a choo choo train. I can go on. Great food court that they remodel not too long ago and lots of different food stops.
The place to do for indoor mall shopping in the west burbs. It can get a little annoying during summer when a bunch of kids are milling around with nothing to do. The newer stores out on the perimeter have really added some curb appeal to the mall including decent restaurant options.
Yorktown has done a lot recently to rebrand itself and appeal to different audiences. The typical mall stores are there, but they just opened a self-care wing with gyms, barre classes, lash extensions, etc. Im not interested in any of those things, but they do fill the stores inside and get more traffic into the mall. There are in fact not a lot of empty storefronts, which is different from most malls. The Carsons just went out of business so there is an empty anchor store, but the mall also has a Von Maur, which is a local chain that has only a few stores. Von Maurs shoe section is excellent--mostly high end and designer brands, with a whole room of sale shoes at great deals.Parking is relatively easy to find and the mall is clean and recently-renovated. There is also a very large childrens play area that is always full when Im there. Outside is nicely landscaped and the parking lot is maintained. This is definitely not one of those dying, dirty malls that you see so often in other places.
From the Viewpoint of a center as it is described it is an excellent place for multiple activities such as shopping, window shopping, mall walking and being a hub 4 buses and other transportation companies. Subsequently, it does a great job of being a hub without looking like a hub
Like most malls...slowly dying but outlot expansion has added many new stores and restaurants. Overall, still a decent mall that has some higher end anchor stores. Probably why it is in better condition and does better business than Stratford Square. Butterfield road and Highland exit FINALLY repaved as of late July 2019!

2022-06-14We love this place. It’s the only mall near Chicago that accept our fur babies. Overall my 1year dogs loves coming and interacting with other pups. Let me tell you that it doesn’t stink nor would you see poop. All who come are very respectful and pick up after the first babies.

2022-03-21A great mall me and my friends take our service dogs and service dogs in training to train around the other dogs. It is a pet friendly mall so you can bring your fur babies with most of the shops are also pet friendly the windows will tel you which ones are or are not. There’s even a dog treat bakery. The reason I give it a four star is because you will often find some pee they provide poop bags in case your dog has an accident but nothing to clean up pee and there’s not a lot of janitors who clean it up.

2021-07-08This is a beautiful mall! Before entering the mall, you can take pictures outside the beautiful flowers, or in front of the magnificent “Yorktown” banner. Inside the mall, there are a variety of businesses, ranging from clothing stores, to toy stores, to restaurants, to jewelers. There were many food options, including a Sbarros, Toll House, Cinnabon, Mrs. Fields, Dunkin, and a Panda Express. Once again, if you have some time, this is a beautiful place to spend a few hours of your day.

2022-04-17Great dining! I would have taken pictures but, the food looked so good... I needed to taste it right away!Shrimp cocktail was very good and fresh.Service was excellent! Javier, our server was attentive and professional. We had the Lamb Chops which were extraordinary and the Bone-in Ribeye, chared medium rare was delicious. We also ordered the wild mushrooms which were the best weve had in a long time. Yes it is expensive... but well worth it!

2022-03-22Food and drinks were excellent! Service not so great. Took about 45 minutes to get our food and our drinks didnt come till after our food. Tables around us were left dirty for quite a while and bathrooms were less than clean. While the food was really good the overall experience would make it hard for me to return.

2020-12-09It was my first time visiting this place. Inside it was very clean and nice variety of shops. Secure place to walk, shop and dine. The parking is perfectly organized and efficient. It’s a good place to spend time and buy perfect clothes. Wasn’t a lot of people there. I will definitely recommend this beautiful shopping center!

2022-04-26Very empty. More fast food and jewelry than clothes. I left with one summer top after touring a whole mall. I have a wedding to go to and have nothing to wear to that yet.

2022-03-10Lovely setting to take a wheelchair still with my 87 year old father after lunch at The Honey Bear Cafe. Von Mauer has a wonderful grand piano which is played through out the day with sofa and chairs to sit and enjoy. Very nice!

2022-04-05Huge mall located in Lombard Du Page county. Lots of retail businesses are operating here like JC Penny and more.Good experience..spent quite few hours. Calm and cool placeI remember visiting this mall sometimes in year 2005
