Whole Foods Market in other cities:
Im sure the A team during th bday is ok but.B team at night is pretty bad. Shelves are empty, service is whatever. My bag broke on the way out and everything fell out the bottom. 3 employees were just staring at me while I cleaned it all up and didnt help. The choices have been the same for chefs kitchen and grab n go for years. No innovation or changes I think Amazon is missing opportunity.
I am reviewing the hot bar and salad area. Compared with the hot bar of other WF locations, this Evanston one has too many items sweetened with sugar. The selection is also very limited and it is not that fresh. Salad area doesnt have a lot of fresh items either. Please increase the selection, keep it fresh, and remember that sugar is not healthy while whole foods is supposed to stand for healthy
Eclectic, high end grocery store with quality products and helpful staff. Profile leans toward healthy, nutritious foods but WF carries some fabulous not-so-healthy bakery and other treats as well. Just remember that high end comment when you are being swept along by the beautifuldisplays of fish and seafood and ready-to-cook or ready-to-eat items; your debit card could be in for a surprise. There are worse ways to spend money, though, right?
Whole Foods was once the only grocery store I would shop at. It’s no longer the high quality market I once sought out. The shelves are empty and items I once found at every visit are no longer being stocked. The produce is mixed in with old food from last season. The peaches I just purchased were certainly not fresh and they’re supposed to be “in season.” I’m shopping elsewhere from now on. So disappointed!!
Above and beyond excellent customer service on a pickup order! Ive ordered groceries for pickup from another Whole foods before and have consistently had things left out of the order with no explanation. Today I arrived to pick up groceries from this location and the shopper explained that there may be some missing items, offered to go back in and look for the missing items, and then when he couldnt find them, canceled the order so we wouldnt be charged for any of the groceries we did receive. I was very impressed with his transparency and kindness.
The store is easy to navigate, however I just came from the west loop location and the salad bar is by far better and looks more appetizing. They need to amp the salad bar at the Evanston location! Please do and I give you 5 stars!Staff is overall friendly and helpful.Your lemon game is out of control tho, lemon prices are 40% more expensive than some other grocery stores!Guess that how Jeff gets to the moon!!! Lol
All Whole Foods stores are good, and this one is no exception, but it is somewhat weaker than others in the area in terms of stocking. Example: The last 3 times I’ve been there, twice mid afternoon on a Saturday and once on a Monday, they have been out of Organic Valley lactose free whole milk, and some other lactose free items. Also, they had no Country French bread. (!) Big deal in the grand scheme of things? Of course not. But they need to up their game a bit. I still give them 4 stars.
I have shopped at this Whole Foods occasionally for years and never been disappointed, until now. I purchased a meal a few days ago- the curried chicken salad and 2 sides. The curried chicken salad was horrible- made with cumin (not curry) and raisins ( not the usual currants), and the chicken was old! In addition, the coleslaw was not edible (spoiled). Never again will I trust their prepared food.
I love the Whole Foods on Green Bay Road. They seem to be relatively responsible about safety, wiping down the carts and everything. It does say online that theyre open for dine-in, but I really hope thats just something that did not get updated properly. They also did not have social distancing floor markers for the checkout line, at least not that I noticed. Safety aside, there are a few products that I love to get from Whole Foods. The employees are always friendly and the quality of some of my favorite treats and of the produce is top-notch. I dont do much shopping at Whole Foods because most of the stuff is ridiculously expensive. It is a good place to get whole boxes of health bars with a good discount if you are an Amazon Prime member. Of course you can also get whole boxes of health bars online with free shipping a lot of the time if you are an Amazon Prime member, sometimes for cheaper, but then you still have to worry about package thieves if you live in an apartment.
As a new employee, and a senior at that, i was very very impressed on how everything came together for Amazon customers. The store itself was impeccably clean and organized. The employees both Whole Foods and Amazon, were courteous, professional and a bit comical. I only hope my back holds up, cause its killing me, lol.
Love this Whole Foods. Great selection of local beer is a serious plus. Only problem is the tall, older, not so gentleman working the register most days. Hes one of those dudes that acts like he hates his job, and has to be rude to people just to get through his day. Everyone else is good people.
Bad peaches...I was very excited to find tree matures peaches at Wholefoods that I did not mind paying the high price. I waited two days for them to mature and they never did. They still hard to touch but when I cut them they were ugly brown inside. I dont recommend this product code is 4044.
I am a health conscious customer and work in health care. While this store is very close to my work and I could be there almost every day, I deliberately decided not to shop there because of how Ive been treated during the covid-19 time. I dont doubt that there is a lot of great employees working there, and the store is very well-stocked. The attack I got at the doorstep instead of being greeted and welcomed to the store is whats taken me aback. I was forced to wear a mask before I stepped over the doorstep without even being asked if I am able to wear a mask due to my health conditions. The regime agent, AKA, Wholefoods Greeter make sure that my mask was fully fastened around my nose. Seriously? How many more of my freedoms will you want to seize? I will make an effort not to support Whole Foods from this point on, as when I go to other stores like Fresh Thyme, who are equally as well stocked, have wonderful staff as well, and do not police me into wearing masks. Please note No One proved that face coverings protect from spreading viruses. Being a health food store probably 90% of customers are people who are health conscious and should understand that supporting the immune system is the only way to protect yourself from viruses. This is not a review to address the position of the person who did this. This is just their job. I am reviewing the poor management decisions of the store. I used to shop Whole Foods a lot and I am very disappointed to see such policies in place. They go against common sense and human rights.
Friendly, professional, high quality goods, and great selection! I oughtta know - since I am happy to report that I have thankfully been able to find a Whole Foods wherever I go! Woop woop, gotta keep my healthy eating on! From the North USA to the South, East to the West, Whole Foods the Best!! Hey, Im a natural... me and Whole Foods are best pals! If You Guys Use any of this Whole Foods, be sure to pay me, Or, a year of WF gift cards will suffice! Ha! Virtual Hugs and toodles☆☆☆🧚♀️
What a great neighborhood grocery store. I used to live in the area of Whole Foods Market and hadn’t been there in over a year. Ran into the store in hopes of finding a certain cookie l needed for a cake I was making and D and D had the cookie. I was in several other grocery stores looking for this cookie with no success. Thanks Whole Foods Market for always having the most unique things!
I always have mixed feelings about going to this whole foods. The selection is good, But the service is spotty. The ladies who helped me with the flowers couldn’t have been nicer, but when I had trouble getting the app to scan and asked the cashier to scan it himself, he said “ hold the phone 6 inches below the monitor please.” Thanks dude, I couldn’t figure that out for myself.
It is long past due that I write this review! I spent about a year and a half to two years employed at this location. A fantastic group of people to work with, especially store leadership! It was the first job I ever had where I looked forward to coming into work! The growth potential I enjoyed and experienced while employed there helped me grow into a new career and new opportunities! Though I have since moved on to a different career and company I fondly remember the days I spent at this WFM!! It could be an opportunity for anyone and it is what you make it!
A modest Whole Foods, with a community feel. Ive often enjoyed a meal from their buffet and washed it down with a local craft beer. Check out Friday, when all draft beer is $4. And they have an assortment of canned and bottled beer and cider for $2 every day. Whole Foods on Green Bay Road is just a nice place to hang out, shop, and meet the neighbors.
Terrible customer service. I had a gift card and they told me I couldnt use it since they couldnt scan it. I called customer care for their gift card center. They informed me they need to manually enter it . The whole foods rep. said they cant for security purposes. I have been to a few other whole foods and they manually enter the gift card when I had a balance. Dont go here if you have any kind of giftcard. They are not helpful. Go to a different location where theyll help you and give you the customer service experience you deserve.
Upscale Neighborhood Shopping:Specialty foods are the highest quality - just be prepared to spend an (in)appropriately high amount (- 2 🌟). Bargain hunters & basic stock-up shoppers would best avoid. An extra star for the Amazon Prime tie-in since weve been members forever. If I need a few special items for one of my culinary Adventures in Excellence -- Im all over this market. {BUT - They might want to consider GREAT weekly deals a la every other major Big Box store on the planet} Just sayin .....

2022-06-01A quick trip to grab some fresh essentials for my famous Pesto Chicken Pasta. Whole Foods never disappoints in the quality department which is why their prices are higher than other grocers, but I am sure to leave with fresh high-quality items that will more than satisfy by dinner companions. This market store is really cool !!! A lot of healthy food choices. Huge market. Selections are sometimes overwhelming. Good choices for wines. The staff here were really helpful and always trying to give their customers an assist by communicating and asking you if you need any help to find what youre looking for. Got really good experience shopping here

2022-02-02Sadly, the customer service at this location is really bad. Morale must be very low because most employees are curt, rude and unhelpful. You ask where something is- they dont know. You ask when something will come back in stock- they dont know. You ask if someone else does know, they send you to the customer service desk, which also usually has no clue. Its absolutely hopeless. Thankfully, theres a nearby Jewel that has saved the day on two recent occasions. Its really disappointing because Whole Foods used to be my favorite store but Amazon has apparently made some cost cutting changes that are making workers hate their jobs. 10 years ago, Whole Foods was a great, fresh place to shop with enthusiastic, knowledgeable employees. Now its like they just dont care

2022-02-02I worked with AJ to place a catering order for an event. She was super helpful about going over menu options and getting the order placed. Joe and Jesus delivered it right on time and went above and beyond bringing it inside the event space and walking me through everything. Everyone raved about the wings, fruit platter, veggie platter with ranch and hummus, and their pies! The event was a hit with wonderful food.

2021-12-24CHEATS. Twice in past 2 months we have bought skirt steak at this Whole Foods - 3 pounds and 2 pounds. BOTH times we got home to find they had done the same scam . . . substituted a much cheaper cut of beef for the skirt steak, while leaving one single piece of skirt steak on top which they showed us while wrapping it up and asked Does this look good? Meaning, its no accident its the corporate policy or store policy to cheat customers. And good luck talking to the front desk about it, they are dismissive even for valid, POLITE complaints.

2022-02-09Great place to shop. You will spend a bit more here then a local jewel or trader Joes; the selection cant be beat.
