Ill keep Halstead West Loop as my Whole Foods store- and pass on the newly opened flagship. It is immaculate. And today further lends itself to my saying it is one of the best. With cheese, like songs, if I do not write it down I will not remember. Morbier a cheese made from ash was banned for U.S. sale nearly 5 years ago by the FDA. I kept on searching for an equivalent without luck, despite my numerous inquiries. With answers of blank stares and nos. Disappointing. Yet today May 3, 2022 standing at the cheese counter I felt I had found my answer Upon inquiring both associates were pleasant in acknowledging my department presence me, yet it was Jose who told me hid did have something similar. AND he came around to both point it out to me, and describe in full detail its similarities, orgin, taste and texture. He thoroughly knows his cheese, along with providing me the same attentive customer service found in now mostly long gone specialty gourmet fine food markets When I asked how long he had been with Whole Foods he replied 14 years. I am proud to be part of it (WH) and I love cheese. How fortunate for Whole Foods to have such an outstanding team member as well as us. So when you truly want to learn about and experience cheese visit Jose.
I went yesterday (april 6th) to Wholefoods on Halsted and Waveland to buy a few things. This place and its employees have always been great. My 1star today is because something that as a customer I cannot comprenhend. I walked by the pizza department and this older gentleman was placing a fresh-out-of-the-oven cheese pizza on the counter. I asked him if he could box the pizza as a whole (large pizza) and he said NO! That if I wanted a cheese pizza I had to wait 30 minutes for it... so... he rather leave the fresh pizza for a few hours on the counter to be sold as singles slices than to box it as 1 and take care of a DAILY CUSTOMER. I was not really in the mood to talked to his supervisor because to me that is idiotic. They should know better. I will try to do this again in the near future on purpose to see if they did something about it and then I will revise the stars given. I hope this is read by someone who can really do something about it and guide his/hers employees in a better manner. Thank you
Ive been to grocery stores all over, including various Whole Foods. This place seems fancy, especially compared to the days of yore when the West Loop was a neglected frontier. But its really no big deal. The food bar and deli are better than the nearby Marianos and the selection seems vast, but the place is not as clean and the customer service is more mundane than at other locations. If theyre going to charge higher prices, they should offer an environment that matches. Otherwise, its like the Dominicks that we lost all over the city.
Worst whole foods branch. The worker, curly hair guy at the self checkout didnt even bother to help the customer to validate the right price on the produce. Dont know how many customers overpaid their groceries. Never come back again.
This review is for their new bulk ice cream mochi :DA few WFM has gotten a fridge full of variety of ice cream mochi. They are $2 each or 6 for $10. They are surprisingly good! Better than those in boxes. I got strawberry, mango, red bean, vanilla bean, black sesame, and matcha here. The matcha one was the worst, it didnt taste like green tea at all. Strawberry and mango are not bad - the good artificial flavor, not overly fake and sweet. Theres actual red bean in the red bean one, averagely good. Vanilla bean is plain, but its good! The best was the black sesame, very robust flavor if you like that!
Great location and a excellent selection of tasty morsels. The problem is that I always purchase more than I anticipated.
My favorite grocery store. Anywhere I go, it is the same high standard of quality and offering.
There are larger and newer Whole Foods in the city, but the selection and staff here and second to none. Also, love the butcher shop where there’s dry aged steaks (but often get sold out) and actual knowledgeable people behind the butcher and seafood counters. I appreciate the constant updates to this local, as well. Oh, and the cooked food buffet (opened now post-COVID) is a life saver on busy nights!
Check package dates from bakery. I assumed baked goods and breads were baked daily, like every other bakery. I bought a loaf of bread and it was moldy the following day. It was packed 4 days prior to the day I bought it. It was full price and on the bakery shelves with everything else. WF fresh baked bread isnt cheap so Im irritated I had to through away an entire loaf.
Love love love! Im visiting from Montreal Canada where there are no Whole Foods so this place is heaven. Got a Bulletproof Coffee and walked the aisles looking at all the amazing products they have. The best grocery store around ❤👍😁
Super disappointed they are not bringing back the seating area. I understand they have a lot of Amazon shoppers, but the Red Star bar was a great community area. My study partner and myself used to go their everyday to study and we met so many great people and the workers (Sylvia and Chandler) who were always super nice at the bar and had trivia which made the atmosphere fun. Since they got rid of the area, we will not be going back to this whole foods. To me it just shows they care more about their money then bringing a community together. I do want to give a shout out to Ana, though, one of the cleaners at whole foods for she is the nicest person and such a hard worker. The employees were always great at this location, but super disappointed in the management who decided to get rid of the red Star bar.
Alternative meats section and mushrooms are limited and cant get them without plastic. Bulk section is just okay, but tbh better than almost anywhere else. Otherwise great service, and was able to get my own mason jars tared.
I did grocery pickup for the first time today and it was great- so easy and so convenient! The employee who loaded up my car was very polite and helpful, I wish shoppers could accept tips. I am definitely going to use this method again, such a time saver. Everything was packed well and everything I ordered was there.
There is a reason they call it whole check. While the selection is good, you shouldnt have to be overcharged for organic and other healthier options. Aldi has many options, great quality and far better pricing.
Small but mighty store. Lots of choices. The only issue is that I could not find any Morningstar breakfast patties.
Just like every other whole food Ive been too. Just more staff. Good food ,but high ! $10.27 for a pint of ice cream?!?! Blew my mind, I aint that health conscience, and I have high blood pressure !

I like the store as the layout makes sense and people are friendly however they’re often out of items. I came back for Spinach and they were completely out. At Whole Foods? Strange. Luckily Marianos is across the street but still disappointing in this location’s stocking.

Good store. In the self service i hoped a bit more fruit. So i bought a pack of strawberries. Unfortune these where rotten. But i got a new one. Amazing.
This whole foods is a medium sized, easy to navigate grocery store. The meat counters are not in the most ideal location and the rear of the store seems to lack purpose. Theres an unimpressive beer fridge back there somewhere. All in all, better than a number of whole foods in the city.
The fruits and good are fresh so I Definitely will come again and recommend my friend and family as well.
I love the vegan foods that they have called Beyond Meat, it is to live for! You should check those out, they have great selection of vegan meats to enjoy with great proteins to what your body needs.
My go to Whole Foods - this one being so centrally located you can find most everything you would need.
When you have a complaint about an incident and report it to the Store manager “Christy” she is unapologetic, rude and impolite. Whether you’re a loyal shopper spending at least $750 monthly groceries at Wholefoods or even if you are Amazon prime member for over a decade it doesn’t make a difference for her. I don’t understand how she’s the store manager for such a big company with that kind of poor customer service.

I live in Northern Illinois, we dont have a whole foods, nor would a Whole foods work in the Stateline. I love the concept of whole foods, I visit one each time Im in a city that has one. This visit, at N. Halsted street, I just bought bread and pizza for me and my family to eat right away. The pizza is pretty darn good. This store did not have gelato. I have come to the conclusion whole foods is overpriced. The packaged foods can be found at stores like woodmans and Mejier for less. You could visit some farmers markets for fresh from the garden produce in the summer. Im sure you have a wider selection of seafood in other establishments in Chicago, youre the largest city in the state by a lot. The baked goods are the best grocery store bakes Ive had, but Chicagoland had great European style bakeries. Whole foods is a good place to get a tasty bite for a decent price.
Whole foods Market is in real sense a complete and whole foods available place. We get fresh vegetables and fruits, wide array of cereals, all kinds of milk, yogurt, variety of cheese, wine, cookies, sauces, pizzas, all kinds of bread, flours, crepes and several other foods. Nice place and I like it.

This store has a great selection of food, but I was looking for Apple Cider in the box packets and they were no where to be found. But the store is located in the west loop not to far from other variety stores. Please by all due means get out of the house walk around get some fresh air and visit a store near you.

Hot bar is good but 18.21 for a 2 biscuits, eggs and bacon lol I couldnt believe it when I seen it. I paid for it because it was the only opportunity I would have before I went into work. Im still in shock
This is not my favorite Whole Foods in the city but it is decent. Their hot food/prepared foods section is a tiny bit lacking. I feel like since they are in the West Loop, they should have a fabulous section since so many people come in on their lunch break! The seating area is also almost always filled whenever I go by.Otherwise it is another typical Whole Foods!
Best grocery store hands down. I come here a lot and they only have fresh produce, I like salads and fish, a little t f fish. Fish is always fresh and I can count on Whole Foods all day long. Nice people working there Mike another day was offering me a help to roll down my cart, because I was with my animals, its so nice of him. Easy parking, nice and clean restrooms. All those things making this store stand apart from other stores in town. It is truly professional spot with outstanding services all year around. Keep up the good work!
I use to love coming here. But after my last trip Ive decided to never come back. Way too many employees not covering their nose. Last time I was here I saw at least 3 of their amazon shoppers with their noses uncovered. Its not fun trying to avoid them in aisles. If you take COVID seriously, I recommend shopping elsewhere.
Whole Foods never fails to amaze me! Every time I visit that store I am amazed by the cleanliness of the store, the phenomenal variety of Fresh Foods, and the variety of foods that you have ready to take home to go! What an awesome thing to be able to stop for a glass of wine while you are doing your shopping! The olive bar is wonderful the dolly is wonderful the cheese section is the best in the neighborhood by far. If you are looking for a great local place to shop this is your place!
Kitchen here is great. Today they had Vegan Mac n Cheese on the food bar that was so delicious..The pizza slices have been cooked well done ,as they should, and have been fantastic lately. I would call them artistic!Power Greens on the salad bar! Store shelves are always stocked .No wasted trip here.This is one of my favorite Whole Foods produce departments too.Nice size store and fun to sit and gave a meal.
I eat here for lunch 5 days a week. The hot food they prepare is excellent, but the variety is terrible. I wish they would mix it up some. It feels like I have the same BBQ chicken, green beans, and potatoes every day. Other Wholefoods have better variety, so I know its possible.
I was super early to an appointment and stopped here for lunch. Got a couple slices of pizza and really enjoyed my lunch. Healthy and still tasty. This whole foods has a small seating area.. While much smaller than other city locations I like it quite a lot. The service was quick, the seating area was clean and comfortable and I did buy a few grocery items after my appointment.
The hot bar at this location is God-awful.
Went to get a cake to celebrate my grandsons birthday. Whole Foods never disappoints. They had the cutest little Halloween cakes perfect for 4-5 people.
Clean store with relatively small footprint making shopping fast, convenient, and easy. They follow all the rules with social distancing and the staff generally is courteous and helpful.
I love this Whole Foods. Usually a pleasant experience - no matter where I am at inside the store.I will say, however, that today I was there around 1:30, and it seemed a bit understaffed. My cashier seemed flustered, and her agitation was visible— perhaps more checkout staff on week days around lunch time would help!
Pretty standard whole foods, a bit on the smaller side. Has a sandwich stand, pizza maker, salad bar, hot bar, gelato bar, coffee bar, and alcohol bar. Nice gluten free selection as usual, two freezers of bread and sweets. Self checkout has been recently installed.
This was my first Whole Foods experience and whoa was I blown away. This location had everything I never thought I needed from a grocery store. Its right off the highway so its easily accessible. The staff was friendly and parking was easy as they have their own.
This whole foods have a full juice bar. Its not as big as other while foods but I mainly stop here for a quick smoothie or juice. Over all very tidy. Never had a problem. Free parking, awesome sales.
I love the fresh bread. Whole Foods is the only place I know that sells the fresh ground HONEY ROASTED peanut butter. It is soooo good. I love the large selection of produce and micro greens.
Its a great store, and Im 100% a WFM fan. I just have issues with the prepared foods. I do notice they are making strides, using more organic ingredients, but there is still a lot of processed junk. :/Great service, product selection, cleanliness and awesome design.HUGE plus that they shred their kale on the salad bar so I can actually eat it. ;)
Interesting place. Lots of good items, albeit a little pricey. Very clean store. Organized very well. Theres a little concession area serving food & beverages - even wine. Great parking garage attached to the store, so you dont have worry about the weather.
This is a nice Whole Foods. You will walk out with a big dent in your wallet, but you knew that going in, didnt you? Anyway its spacious and well stocked. As par usual, theyll have stuff you cant get anywhere else. And its a nice walk to many workplaces (like mine) in downtown, so you can go grab some takeout lunch.
Great service.. they take their time to explain you everything about their products... Too far from my house, just stop by but Ill be back whenever Im in the area...
Being Whole Foods, you know its already going to be pricey so I wont get into that.The staff are always super friendly, and actually look like they dont hate their jobs! Which makes it a better shopping experience for you if you like chatting with cashiers haha.They have vegan pizza by the slice, and also some hot/cold vegan options! Its probably the main reason why I go there.They have a lot of plants by the front revolving doors, if your like me and buy herbs at a grocery store.There is a tiny, tiny lot by the doors, with maybe like 8 parking spots, so its sometimes a hassle to park. Id say to park elsewhere or take the train, or walk. Its in a nice area, so walking might give you some nice sights to see along the way!
I am an Amazon Prime member and I got a discount without bringing my Prime card with me. The cashier was so friendly and provided us with a great service. Their products are amazing as we all know. I bought a lot of cheese and organic stuffs.
Coming from the UK I had been told what US supermarkets are like and Whole foods proved them wrong. A good range of fresh fruit and vegetables and groceries. Ok not the cheapest, but they say you get what you pay for. The only little let down was the quality of the hot food fell a bit below par compared to the rest of the store. The staff were friendly and helpful when I couldnt find a particular item

They pizza looked terrible, this has been awhile, they need to upgrade their pizza already cooked, no sausage not ever when I come in, they need to keep sausage, no ice cream bars I wanted, they need the machine with just fruit bars, others have--I visited today; i have a problem that their front door is not accessible; i tried to go in using the opener, it did not work; the Security guard is at the door, he is talking; i had to use the turnstile entrance; when I left, my arms were full, I tried to open the accessible door by pushing the opener; i ask Security guard why it did not work; he had an attitude and started to open by pushing it open stating in a toned voice, this is the way you open, I told him, I will report; I need the door to be accessible to enter and leave, I cannot push to get in/out.Thank you-
Love this store! Its smaller than the massive mega store in Lincoln Park but has everything i need and more. Super convenient, easy to park, great customer service and never a line at checkout. Pricey like all Whole Foods but if WF is what I want then this is the location I prefer hands down!
Ive given in and switched grocery loyalty from Marianos to Whole Foods. Its just such a pleasant shopping experience. Ill miss the brands I know, but the produce and butcher counter is so much better. Plus, I dont have to deal with that crazy Marianos parking lot.
Its your typical Whole Foods in an urban setting. Over priced hot food bar, salad bar, etc. Theres a coffee bar and a regular bar too. I mainly stop by the coffee bar in the mornings. But not as often as I used to in the past few months due to increasingly poor service. When the store opened it was great. Over time some of the more enthusiastic and respectful employees left. The staff at the coffee bar used to remember you by name and chat with you at times. Thats all gone away now. Ive had a few issues with requesting things from employees and they disappear or certain things on the hot food bar not being ready when the store opens. Overall, I prefer Marianos down the street.

The cafe is great place to relax from neighborhood has grown a bit too quickly. I enjoy the prepared foods and service that I get at the cheese counter. There is freshly made pasta, something not all WFMs have. The big plus for me is that there is more than one type of freshly smoked salmon for my daily omega-3 intake. If you like/need to drive there is always a parking space.

Nice downtown gourmet grocery store. Healthy food, rich selections and best having a parking lot! Not too many stores have all of them. Well compares to other whole goods it is a little bit crowded and the food court dont have many choices.

Its WF, and theres a lot of great products here. The bar area is nice (if a bit hip for me) and the sit-down eating areas are pretty cool, complete with USB charging ports.The prepared foods area needs a bit of work. A lot of sorry looking stuff that looks like its been out a bit longer than it shouldve been, complete lack of fresh sushi options, and a salad bar that closes up way early.I like Whole Foods plenty, but I sure wish this location were a bit more in line with the South Loop location that I so adore.
Decent selection of beer, both on tap and bottles/cans to go. This location is not a verified venues on Untappd. ☹️ They do turn the heat up a bit in the seating area, unlike the icebox temperatures they maintain at my local Whole Foods taproom (Lexington, KY.)
This is my first time shopping here and I was impressed with the selection of products and healthy options in the grocery area. Prices are great also. Very clean and I highly recommend. I will visit them again.
Only 5 registers open at peak time on a Sunday. Since AMZ took over you can tell they’ve really cut the hours. I used to go to Whole Foods over Mariano’s because of the superior service. Now it’s about the same frustrating experience. I’m still in line after 10 minutes.
This whole foods has a nice hot bar, taqueria, sandwich bar, and an expansive seating area with spacious booths. They also have a little bar which serves alcohol. The store itself is smaller than others, and time will tell whether this frustrates me.
This is just Whole Foods’ house coffee brand. The coffee is inside the WFM. Sort of misleading to list it as a standalone spot. Like when you’re on a road trip and you want to drive through a Starbucks so Google takes you to one and it ends up being inside a Target :(
I hate going to this Whole Foods and only go there when I have no other options. The employees don’t ask if you need assistance they walk past you with a look on their face that says “please don’t ask me anything” Shelves have been empty and when asked if they have any they just say oh it should’ve been there. Yes I know but it’s not. When I go to my favorite Whole Foods if you ask about a product that’s not on the shelf they go look in the back for it. That’s called customer service and this Whole Foods needs to go to a class and learn ALL about it.
Their breads are below par. Their desserts are not good either. I have given them a try multiple times. The rest of the store is what you expect. Save your money on bread and dessert.

This Whole Foods is one of the worst I have ever shopped in! They are always out of stock of product, and like products that should be there like milk eggs and tortillas. The staff are so unhelpful you can tell they hate their jobs. The bathrooms are the most diadisgusting bathrooms in any whole foods. The family restoom they just keep closed with out of order signs because they dont want anyone using it and have to clean it. The mens restroom has had human feces stuck to the ceiling for over a year now. This place needs to be shut down
Ok, so I have to admit. I was skeptical at first because all I basically eat is junk when it comes to groceries. I prefer to dine out versus cooking. But I can seriously tell the difference. Everything is so fresh looking and tasting. The store itself is so well stocked and organized. I had a wonderful shopping experience. I felt like I was in a different world. The staff doesnt hide from you, they actually speak to you - first. Lol. They will take you to what you are looking for and heres the kicker. If you want to try an item or two for the first time but you dont want to waste your money, they either give you a sample to taste right there or they will write sample on the UPC code and let you have the item for free. Mind officially blown! Lolbvs. They clearly value their customers. The prices are higher but well worth it because you definitely get what you pay for. They also have a hot bar with freshly cooked food is like soup, noodles and orange chickenThey also have a cold bar with fresh salads, etc. Their deli is awesome. I was able to sample prosciutto. Now I know why it costs so much and why all the chefs rave about it. They have a little section where they make fresh sandwiches and other food and you can eat them right outside at the tables they have set up. Oh and let me not forget - SAMPLES! They have samples in practically every aisle. And theres no one hovering over you to monitor your intake either. Lol. Uh oh, I think I just told on myself. If youve never been, you have to at least go once. I promise you wont be disappointed. Did I mention that you can buy grains, coffee, nuts, candy, etc in bulk? Why yes you can. Ok I digress. Im sure you get the picture by now. Happy shopping my friends 😊
This is my favorite Whole Foods in the City. I love watching the people make the pizzas, actually Whole foods has great fresh pizza, especially this one (try the multi grain dough!)Other than that, great items, great store, a bit pricey, but you knew that walking in.
Clean, organized, busy. The cashiers get you through the line at a fast pace, and are always helpful and friendly. Great location with great ease of access. My ideal shopping center.
This place is called Whole Paycheck for a reason. I have to stay nearby for work, and its a long-term assignment, so I need groceries. No car, so I have to walk, and this is the only grocery store within a reasonable walking distance (I dont mind walking further, but loaded down with grocery bags, my range is a bit more limited). So this is my only reasonable choice.UGH. A reasonable amount of food for four days, shampoo, and soap cost $92. Even the items that arent hippity-dippity super-organic whatever are super expensive. Even a bottle of shampoo/conditioner cost $20! Thank goodness my employer is paying. I hope people dont have to spend their own money here.You sort of get what you pay for, at least. The store is laid out well and the quality of the food is good. But next time, Im going to seriously consider hiking out to Target. Its twice as far, but I could probably take an Uber back and still spend less.
I like this Whole Foods, but I like the prepared food bar in other cities better. The fresh juice was okay. I wish I had had it made fresh though. I bought it pre-bottled for $10. Not worth it. I love the juice names though like Juicepac Shakur. I think?... Lol.

This location gets very crowded during the lunch hours. However, the checkout time is relatively quick. I love the food selection they have available. And the parking lot is huge.
There was a young man who took care of me on the register. He was patient with me because I was having trouble using Samsung pay. He walked me through the process instead of becoming rude and impatient with me. It made me feel like a valued customer even though that was my first time in the store. I wish I knew his name.
This is a nice whole foods. The selection is pretty good. I do constantly find that they do not have a fruit/veggie item I am looking for: Leeks or eggplant or mint...
I like the lunch bar at whole foods, its the main reason I come here. However, the location up on Kingsbury street is much bigger, with more seating and more Indian choices in the menu. Like chicken tikka! And Madras fish curry! Maybe I should review the other location instead......

Not sure whats happening here but there has been a noticeable decrease in availability of fresh produce and product variety. Sad radishes, celery and parsley, moldy clementines, rotting spring mix salad. Good quality seafood and meat, but overall not the WF we used to love.
A friend told me that ordering wine from the Whole Foods bar was the final boss you need to defeat in order to become truly white. They also have a good beer selection and all of the flavors of Halo Top ice cream.
Place has a nice seating area. They also have a great selection for the hot food bar. Location has underground parking lot. Also they have about 10 or more cashiers so you won’t wait long.
I was traveling from out of state and it was welcoming to have free parking, especially since near Wrigley Field and Chicago is a hard city for a visitor to find a place to park. Love the bulk items, hot/cold buffett for dinner, good desserts.
Amazon is going to make a big difference here. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Food is good and wholesome. Prices are getting fairer and I expect that they will be fairer still. Big improvement after this sale.

Ive been to overpriced whole foods before, but this one takes the cake. This is the archetype of why people hate this place. One dollar for three limes in the summer when I can get fifteen at the market down the street? Or the same price from a Gas Station or Starbucks? Really awful to be passing through. I know the people that live nearby can afford it, but Id avoid it.
Your typical Whole Foods clean, organized and easy access with plenty of parking. Nice deli, butcher, seafood and wine area. Areas to sit and eat prepared meals, free Wi-Fi.
Grear quality offer discounts to orim members on certain items.. Fresh food, will prepare food for now to eat.. If you have a few extra dollars its worth it just to compare to difference... You might get converted.... Ummmmm.
Not a ton of prepared food, but you can get some good dishes and eat at the bar where they have a nice selection of beers. Typical packaged foods as compared to other Chicago locations, although not nearly as spacious as Lincoln Park.
This is not one of my favorite Whole Foods Markets in Chicago. Its kind of small, and seems to be missing items that other stores carry. The prepared foods section is limited as well, and it is pretty hard to find someone in the grocery section to ask a question.
More or less my local grocery store. Somewhat smaller than Id like, but I can usually find 95% of what Im looking for. WF did a good job cleaning up after the pathetic Dominicks store that was here. The store is airy and bright and clean. Theres a pretty good vegetable section, decent fish and meat counters, reasonable dairy and cheese selections, a small but well-selected liquor, wine, and beer area, and the usual amount of steam-table ready to eat. Most of the staff are upbeat and competent and more than willing to help. A little short of bicycle racks, and what there is is unprotected, but there is quite a lot of low ornamental fences on Halsted you can lock to. All in all, a pretty fair store. For big shops, I go to the WF on Kingsbury, which has much larger selections of pretty much everything.
Do yourself a favor before buying a cake from the bakery: knock on it to make sure it’s not frozen and then throw it in the trash. Absolutely disappointed by the frozen cake I got for a birthday. Will not buy again!
A citywide fave this healthfood chain has implemented yet another fabulous locatiin for my fellow Chicagoans that surmounts the marketing concept of healthfood store to its final pinnacle establishing its greatness in retail strategy! As some of this chains original customers Mother and I set out years ago informing and teaching African-Americans of its presence and how to affordably shop at Whole Foods Market. Well, in short, the high number of African-American consumers you see today in their stores attests to our success in spreading the word about Whole Foods Market which Ive told many of their present employees and customers this fact. And which I hope that store managers circa late-1980s / early-1990s are happy we did as they jokingly requested Tell all those you know to come and shop. Well appreciate it! And appreciate it they did! As for me personally, it just makes my spirit extra happy every return trip home to see all the many customers now to the point I just can be seen standing in the stores sometimes and just smiling at all the PROFITABLE action and satisfied faces! Yes, indeed! My business development/marketing & sales skills were first honed in this pleasing establishment. Thank you Whole Foods Market for aiding that effort!
A little over priced, a little pretentious, but has all the things youd expect out of whole foods. Salad bar is stocked, and dangerous to the paycheck.Bakery, pizza, gelato, sandwiches, coffee, this location has it, including a parking garage. Expect it to be busy at lunchtime and just after 5pm on weekdays.
Remember when you actually had good chicken salad? pepperidge farm remembers… bring it back! please?
The managers here are the most unprofessional, unethical and rude bunch of people I have ever encounter. After dealing with a manager for a whole month setting up tours for business travelers, said manager takes a day off on the day of the tour and the manager on duty some rude person name Drake , not only mistreats the first group and refuses to provide someone to accompany them through the store, but refuses to honor the other managers commitment to me. I had to cancel the other two groups and scramble at the very last minute to make other arrangements. I pleaded my case with this Drake and he was rude and flat out refused to homer the commitment made to me by his other manager.I was insulted, very disappointed and upset by the whole debacle.
Good place to go if you want to hit up a salad bar. Their buffet section isnt the best though. They also have a lot of organic food if thats your thing (not really mine).
I recently bought salad from the salad bar and it was stale. When I tried to return the customer service was horrible. While I love Wholefoods, the west loop location I will try to avoid at all possible cost.
This store is down the street from my job and I was excited when I found out a Whole Foods was replacing the old Dominicks. I did a couple of walk thrus since theyve opened and finally purchased Matcha Green Tea on last Friday (11/6/15). I was 2nd in line and there was a woman bagging. She then went to the register next to me and opened. I took my tea to that register and as she was getting situated, I waited, she took my item, scanned it.......and....no greeting, nothing. So I said hello, she dryly said hi, do you want a bag. Im thinking wow, funky customer service. I told her no, and as she was giving me my change, she began to scan the next persons items, giving me no Thank You....no, Have a nice evening BUT greeted the man behind me with a cheery good evening, Sir. WTH!!!! As I was putting my wallet back in my purse, I said wow, he gets a hello AND a sir. Angela gave me the worst customer service Ive EVER had in ANY Whole Foods store!!! I normally frequent the South Loop store and they are amazing!!! It was a big disappointment and I dont think Ill be back. Ill stick to Marianos down the street and South Loop Whole Foods where I feel appreciated.
The beer bar here is great! Also, I like to stop in here for lunch sometimes. They have so many options between the hot food and salad bar, and the pizza and sandwich spots.
A good location again. Quality top notch and never fails to disappoint. The fresh in house items are the must buy ones. Especially the bakery products
This is about the bar. ..Eric is an amazing bartender but if he isnt making the drinks, just go with beer or wine. Its a great environment but they are charging regular bar prices, and unless your bartender is Eric, or Charlie, there is a good chance that your mixed drink just wont be that good.
Very clean, all staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was my first trip to a whole foods and I definitely will be going back to one closer to home based on my experience at this location!
This is really nice. The price is good enough for my budget still. The food is great. I ate here besides shop s little bit for other items and to charge my mobile phone batteries.
Great place to hang out, get some work done, enjoy some healthy snacks & an adult beverage (or two.) Its relatively clean, comfortable, has some decent amenities, and best of all you dont feel like someones watching your every move. Thumbs up.
Good for specialty items but its way over priced for convenience, its not this specific Whole Foods its all of them.

Typical Whole Foods, not too much to be said here. Clean store, plenty of samples, and friendly staff. Normally when Im trying to find a unique item I can find it here (ie spices, anchovy paste, etc).

My favorite store in the city, its smaller than some of the other whole foods but has great selection, parking is easy, and access to the highway makes it really easy to get in and out.
Great place to shop for groceries. The breakfast available in the morning was good. Friendly staff. This location is pretty busy most of the day.

This is the place to get organic foods, fresh baked donuts and cookies and pastries. If you enjoy nuts this is a step above your local grocery store and worth every dollar.

Ive bought a bunch of stuff and once I get home realise its expired or almost expired, especially yogurt. Happens on Instagram to at this store. Whos really going to go back to return a yogurt or two?

It one of the smaller Whole Foods in Chicago but perfect for the neighborhood. Very little sitting area but you can always go next door to the Center on Halsted.
Good parking and clean facility. Staff is pleasant with wide variety of produce and products.
Great staff. This location is a little smaller than some of the larger suburban stores. The express check-out line is great and moves fast.
Complete ripoff. The food they sell tastes like rebranded Walmart brand food. They are selling an image, not top quality products for the most part. The placebo effect is strong.

2022-02-22Whole Foods is my go-to store here in West Loop previously and so far, based from experience I must say that it is a good grocery store. Everything is always easy as a pie. The store is clean and spacious and they have various selection of every single product. Their produce is always fresh and in a good quality that goes same as well to their seafood and meat section. The quality of their products makes them special to me although other grocery stores also have a good quality product but this location of Whole Foods is the better one for me. Prices are average and the truth is other grocery stores have lower prices. They also have sales but it is only limited to selected products. The store has a convenient location which is near to where I am staying. Staffs in here is friendly and they are very nice too. If there is anything that I want to recommend, it is definitely their produce, seafood and meat section.

2022-05-21Nice wide aisles and plenty of shopping 🛒 carts. Helpful associates throughout. Got some tips on cooking sword fish from the butcher. Whole Foods is pricy, but the quality makes it worth it. I mostly buy my meats and fish here. Bakery goods make for great treats.

2019-11-24Always happy with the sandwiches. My go to is the farmhouse, add turkey, and add fig spread. It is so so so good. They make picnic baskets and great cheese plates to go. Nice selection of wine and other goodies.Its easily my number one choice when I want to grab food to take to Millenium for a movie in the park, or orchestra show.

If you bring your own wine glass on next event, you get $1 off (Event price becomes $4). Staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and kind.It was also a nice surprise that there were wine and alcohol tastings.

2022-02-122-11-2022. 5 stars for Dalton at the deli (hope I spelled your name right) and the evening staff working today. Dalton sliced my prosciutto expertly and paper thin. So much so that I asked for more than I originally requested. I think I’ll only go to the deli when he’s there. The guy working in the produce area went out if his way to look for items in the back for me. He was so nice about it too. The guy at self check-out was patient and attentive. I’m sure all the employees were tired, especially since it was near closing time, but everyone was kind and helpful. I prefer shopping at this Whole Foods than the South Loop one.

2017-09-22Huge location with more options. Im a recent convert to Whole Foodism. But they have a problem, they dont have whole wheat bagels! Seriously!This branch is giant but I like the one on Grand Ave better. Its more homie and cozy that one.
