Whole Foods Market in other cities:
I am looking for Umeboshi Paste (picked plum puree) and when getting transferred to grocery team for assistance, the man I spoke with did not even check the aisle nor did he understand what I’m looking for. I wanted to check if a store has it before driving to the store if they don’t even have it. This man that was not helpful needs to be re-trained for Whole Foods products or find another job. Also when he answered the phone, he did not even say Whole Foods. He said a whole different name that I was unable to understand. He had such a hard accent in his voice and should be replaced and not answer phones. He was unhelpful and I called twice and he did not even check the aisles for the product if it’s in stock. He immediately said they don’t have it in stock but when I called a different Whole Foods location on Cicero Ave, he checked, went to the international aisle and eventually saw the item. He found the item there and said there are 5 in stock. I will not support the Whole Foods on Ashland Ave. for being unsupportive and unpleasant to the customers.
Bought an unopened bottle of rum here and before I left the store my wife called and told me to buy another brand. When I went to return it, they said they couldn’t return it because I didn’t get my receipt from self checkout. Every store I shop at in 2022 can look up your purchase using the card you used. Apparently not here at this supposedly upscale Whole Foods in Lakeview Chicago.
Of course we had to check out the new Whole Foods, thats what boring adults get excited about!Seriously though, its super nice. Everything from the coffee shop on the first floor that roasts its own beans, to the full bar, groceries, and hot made to order food on the 2nd floor you pretty much cant go wrong.I like the open warehouse feel to the grocery store. It felt huge and not congested like some other Whole Foods Ive been to around the city.We stopped by the hot food bar for some lunch. I grabbed a few slices of pizza which were very good, while my wife went to the adjacent counter to order a sandwich. We enjoyed our food in the large, sunny, dining area overlooking the neighborhood. There really isnt much you wont find in a Whole Foods, but, yes, it is expensive. We dont shop there frequently, or hardly at all actually, but it was nice to take a look inside this place. Being that it was only about a week after it opened the place was very well kept and organized and stocked. The parking garage is a total disaster area, but only because people in this city are impatient and dont know how to yield right of way. Thats not Whole Foods fault. The garage is very nice, but watch out for lunatics because exiting can be a bit anxiety-inducing.
The physical store is fine - in 2022 there’s a lot of empty shelf space and prices are almost comical, but the worst is really the delivery service. Two years into the pandemic and Whole Foods still can’t offer same day delivery on groceries - even when you’re a Prime member, paying an extra fee, and ordering at 10 in the morning. And the app CONTINUES two years later to say “same day delivery” when you start your order, only to bait and switch to a $15 fee for tomorrow delivery - “nothing available today”. Jewel Osco, Mariano’s, Target all offering same day delivery and increasing their organic offerings - Amazon is the worst thing that ever happened to the Whole Foods brand, hands down.
The quality has gone down severely since a few years ago. The produce is not fresh and at times rotten. The employees are some of the rudest most unkind people I’ve ever met. Don’t ever dare to ask for assistance or else be glared at and shouted at.It’s always overcrowded and the customers have no sense of social distancing. Every time I’ve gone during the pandemic it’s been a stressful and traumatic experience. My advice to only go on non-peak hours when there’s not many people there—like later in the evening.
So I have been working at this location for a few months I’m a keep this short my experience there was horrible I was always getting “touched”. I told my higher-ups and everyone and I was still getting ignored as a young woman please be careful and really consider working here but if you do heed my warning.
This location allowed us to host a fundraiser that was wonderfully successful. Afterwards I did some shopping and the staff mirrored the management, helpful, attentive and polite. Plus what an amazing place to shop! Plenty of natural light and great parking for the city.
One of the best Whole Foods stores in the area. Huge store with ample parking space. Their produce is always of the highest quality and much better than other stores nearby (including other WFM stores). They also have a great bakery section with fresh breads.Being a prime member is a bonus with multiple deals on grocery and produce items.
Ive been eating unhealthy for a while...However, still at age 40 I have an athletic build that I want to take to the next level..Whole Foods 365 brand has more then a great selection...Everything I purchased was organic and or non GMO and Vegan..With prices more reasonably then I expected compared to other places.. Making it more then worth the drive...Parking at this location was clean, safe, andeasy to get into..And the cashier Veronica was amazingly helpful..Explained about the discount for being an Amazon prime member..Which is how I knew about the 365 brand.. Great place!! Now lets see what happens in 21 days eating this way..
I really like this Whole Foods location. The coffee shop on the first floor serves up some of the best craft coffee in Chicago. The upstairs store is spacious and has a wide variety of groceries to meet any shopping needs. I personally enjoy that they offer an assortment of beers and wines. And while it does stink to have to wait in line to enter, I am glad the staff is taking necessary precautions during the pandemic.
Beautiful store but pickup leaves something to be desired. Just be aware that if you order for pickup, you still need to go all the way inside the store to the second floor by the checkout, so I had to track all the way through the busiest part of the store. I was using pickup in order to avoid bringing my small children into the store so it was a complete fail, I assumed they would offer a curbside pickup like so many other stores. I did get my items quickly but the process and app didnt work very well, Target does a much better job with their drive-up services.
Always so busy, people don’t watch where they are going or excuse themselves if they are standing in the middle of an aisle. The staff member that helped me today at the register was great, but they have so many staff walking around and kind of push you out of the way to get to wherever they need to go. I do love the cheese and wine section though, always have a great selection.
What can you say about Whole Foods that hasnt been said already? Yes, its more expensive than other supermarkets--but you get what you pay for. Food quality is superb, including freshly prepared food. (Im originally from Europe, where we acknowledge that this is a worthwhile trade off.) They should pay their staff more, of course, including allowing a union. But during this pandemic, Whole Foods is also the store that I trust more than others here in Chicago to offer a cleaner and safer environment.
Gonna be honest, whole foods totally isnt my scene I went in this place to kill some time in until sunset, I went around the store and everything was very well kept together and the employees were very kind, I just think everything is a bit more pricey than im used to but that is just me, they do have a large selection of things, and to be fair it all looks like quality. Extra Star for being able to use my Amazon account to earn points. I did love their 0 sugar green tea cans and their pastry section looked amazing
The prices have come down and they have the best quality produce periods. Things I get from here last soooooo much longer especially cucumbers lol.Still more expensive than normal grocery stores. And dont go here for simple dry storage items.Meats most over priced find a butcher. But produce, fish, unique snacks, dairy, whole food fresh made stuff is great also.
Whole Foods is the leading grocery chain in the nation as far as I am concerned. Their fresh vegetables and seafood, including all kinds of salmon, sole, whitefish, tilapia, shrimp, etc. is of better grade than most of the other national chains. Whole foods beyond a doubt is pricier than many of the others but so is their quality!
Nice clean store. staff not as knowledgeable since amazon took over but this one still has a nice variety of things at least. whole foods is the only place that has organic buns. Im not a fab of whole foods anymore overall, but if you have to go to one, this ones the one to visit.
I love grocery shopping here. I find many types of teas and coffees, and different types of cookies too. I think in my opinion that AMAZON ruined them. I found Organic Red Grapefruit on sale for $1.19 a pound. Then I saw the reg Red Grapefruit for $1.49 a pound?? If you really look at these large round fruit a pound is only 2 of these grapefruits. So, I bought 1 for $1.41 which wasnt a sale to me because this 1- I picked weighted 1.09 lbs. Who knew this? They did since knowing that us consumers just pick any fruit and not weigh them. Ill remember this next time. What I love about WHOLE FOODS way before ( Pandemic Times) they had FREE samples of their cookies, breads, fresh fruit pieces, soup samples. And that meant a lot to me? So, I continue to shop here. And I have, I like coming down here to Lakeview area and yep, shop at the Target, Dinkles Donuts and Whole Foods then do my usual walk down on Roscoe Street to head back to Southport and to catch the Brown Line. This is a larger store on Ashland Ave. And they have many places to shop here. But todays visit I made a short shopping list. I needed some Almond Milk searching for a brand called Pacific Foods in the 8 oz size. They dont carry the single sizes separately anymore. But I did find a few 8 oz singles in the refrigerator near the hot food bar. Almond Milk from Whole Foods their own line called 365. I bought 1 carton. I need it for a smoothie recipe which I need only 1 cup. Then was saddened to find out they also stopped carrying Cafe Du Monde- in DECAF, made with Chicory. Yeah, I can buy it thru Amazon??? Um, Why?? I need it for another recipe. But Ill keep searching for it. If I had it then I wouldnt bought that STARBUCKS Reserve!Still, Its my favorite place to shop at...
The best Whole Foods in Chicago. I hate going to Whole Foods because of the long lines at the register and people everywhere. This location is pretty large and opens at 7am. I normally go pretty early to avoid people and with the size of this place, its perfect to get some grocery shopping done while safely socially distancing. Not something I can say about the other locations in the city. I like their prepped meals like sandwiches and the bakery has some decent donuts. I like the razzberry and hazelnut filled donuts.
I am quite obsessed with this store. Never was a Whole Foods shopper until I moved to the area and fell in love with this store. Especially now that prices are competitive to Amazon and other grocery stores in the area. The store is always well organized and filled with helpful employees willing to direct. My one suggestion would be to keep a consistent inventory of products. There have been a few occasions where I tried a product that I found at Whole Foods and went back to get that brand, and it was no where to be found.
The atmosphere, the staff, the owners and the food.......molto, molta buona! sono innamorato di taurasi. If you dont go and have a full course meal from starters to dessert and cappuccino, you will be hungry and never EVER be fulfilled in your dining journey. I try not to eat a lot as Im trying to shed the covid/pandemic pounds, but I had to let that go, enjoy myself....and I did! Will definitely be back and bringing ALL my friends there!!!Thanks Raffaele, Paco, Jake, Michelle and the rest of the staff.💋
Ive been coming to this Whole Foods regularly for about 6 months. Everything was good until today. The cashier noted I brought my own bags, but made no move to take the bag or bag my items so I started to bag my things myself. After I paid there were still items that needed to be bagged. Instead of finishing bagging my items the cashier started ringing up the next guest and proceeded to take her bag and started to ring up and bag her items. This incredibly unprofessional and the exact opposite of good customer service. I wont be frequenting this Whole Foods anymore. Ill echo a previous reviewer in that their cashiers need customer service training.
Great place for a person looking to better their eating choices life is all about choices and learning from those choices and Ive learned that whole foods is one great place to learn about food to help us lose weight build muscle its a great place to some money time to learn about health food great place
I live close by, so I was shopping here several times a week. Overall, this place is great, like any other Whole Foods. Lately Ive been going to Marinos for big shopping trips because I cant get past how filthy the shopping carts are at this location. They are pretty gross! The store offers wipes to disinfect the handle and child seat, but I noticed that the inside of all the large shopping carts have caked on food and dirt in the inside. Spray them down once in a blue moon!
Im always surprised by deficiency of Whole Foods as a storefront and as a corporation. That this location I probably would have rating in front my year ago as a very out of a five train Im giving a great rating of five out of 5. Why is that you asked, they cleaned up the bathrooms this place! it seemed that the employees didnt really care about cleanliness or following through with that Im securing a clean entire latrine. When an employee feels that way, that means management feeling that way. Perhaps management wasnt aware about it but they certainly sure did take care of it. I got in the area where the coldest was cleaned up or added more selection or someone over there is working at with love. You got to take pride in what you do and how you see people especially when youre in the public eye. Somebody was giving it love without instructions. Thats how you know you have a good employee and a great working relationship within the organization.
Great store lots of selection the produce section is smaller the produce section is smaller than other Whole Foods that I have been to. Very clean and their hot bar is probably twice the size but most Whole Foods Ive been to. Free parking in the garage very convenient for City Life.
Great place for prepared foods, the prices on the salad bar and fresh breads aren’t actually that bad. The grocery products are outrageously priced. The cashiers move very quickly which is great because the lines are often very long! Everyone I’ve talked to who is working is always very nice and helpful.
Large, clean, new location with a large prepared food and made to order section and a coffee shop on the main floor. Very mixed experiences with customer service - some employees went out of their way to accommodate and some couldnt be bothered to help. Parking garage is a nightmare to navigate on the weekends but overall a good location.
This Whole Foods Market has everything you would ever need in a grocery store. The hot bar food assortment is extensive and always fresh. The fresh meat deli has some amazing and hard-to-find cuts. The liquor and wine selection is also great, and the store even includes its very own bar. The coffee shop downstairs always has unique blends and brews. You could honestly spend an entire day there and never get bored.
Great place for fresh organic products. I like hitting the hot bar and salad bar. The meat department always has a nice wide selection of choices and are reasonably priced. One of my favorite sections is the cheese department, the variety alone will make any Cheese and wine lover happy, they always have a rotation of different cheeses on sale and a knowledgeable staff makes the experience even better.
Im not a fanatical While Foods shopper, in fact I generally avoid its high prices and annoying customers. But I have to say this location is really well thought out, with ample parking, a spacious store layout, and activities for old and young throughout the week (such as storytime and sing alongs). With Amazons influence, some prices are declining, which is good. Its still not enough to be my first choice in grocery stores, but I actually dont mind going.
I did not have a welcoming time there a few weeks ago Whole Foods is just too expensive for some of the employees to be rude. At Some of the other Whole Foods I find t the people are much more welcoming. A manager was supposed to email me about my experience and I never heard back. The great thing about Whole Foods is there are a lot of them around the city and I can go to the ones where I do feel comfortable.
TODAY MY ROOMATE WAS ROBBED. CAR TELEPHONE ETC. NO ONE DID ANYTHING TO HELP HIM HE WAS ROBBED INSIDE THE ELEVATOR OF THIS WHOLE FOODS , THE MANAGER DID NOTHING THEY DID NOT HELP HIM TO SHARE THE SECURITY VIDEOS TO TRY TO HELP HIM AND THE ONLY ANSWER THEY GAVE HIM WAS : WE DON’T HAVE A SECURITY PERSON HERE. PLEASE EVERYONE IS AT RISK WE REPORTED EVERYTHING TO THE POLICE TODAY AT 1:00 PM.
I stop by this whole foods once a week, and they often are completely out of stock of some items. store brand chicken breast, regular carrots, bread...they usually are out of stock out of at least one thing on my list. BUT the store is extremely clean, the staff is very helpful, the bulk section is fantastic and the food at the hot bar is absolutely delicious.
I dont come here to shop for food that much, considering that some of the prices are as high as you might think. What really attracts me is their version of Red Bar. They have 32 taps, and when a brewery has a tap takeover they go completely nuts in terms of sheer variety. Theres also a grill if you want to drink as well as imbibe.
In a nut shell this store is understaffed and depending on what time of day, you may have to wait 12 minutes in the EXPRESS line. Most of the time you will find yourself bagging your own groceries because the cashier is working alone. It has been this way ever since Amazon bought them. I am now an even bigger fan of Trader Joe’s where the staff is very friendly and courteous, unlike Whole Foods. Also one star is too high of a rating for WF.
Have to say Im not a fan of the mega Whole Foods. The old smaller one was much more user friendly for me. Sure you gotta bigger selection, a wine room, cheese room, cafe ish area, and a bar but also just a lot of space. Feels like a warehouse, no fast running in, escalators take you upstairs where sales floor is. Overpriced like you expect. Not so great return policy. Couldnt even exchange unopened bottle of vitamins.
Not a bad place to go to grab a bite to eat. The employees there are friendly. Didnt like the fact that one of the workers dropped a few apples and picked up the apples from the floor and restocked those same apples. Probably believes in the 3 second rule. Other than that, its not bad.
This store was so beautiful when it opened with a fantastic coffee shop on the first floor and plenty of seating. Then, Amazon took over and put a giant gadget kiosk right inside the door, blocking windows and removing seating space. It feels like a mall and really diminishes the quality of the experience and my desire to go there.
We just went to pick up an Amazon order and there was literally the least amount of organization Ive seen thus far at a grocery store. Signs dont always clarify especially when the store is packed with stuff along the perimeter. The distanced location for pickup is right beside employee check in and theres no way you can distance yourself when their gloves/ sanitizer etc is so close...I will not be picking up from this location anytime soon.
Sure, Whole Foods has become a massive corporation and super mainstream...but who cares, their stores are awesome. This one is no exception. Absolutely massive, and fun to walk around. This location has everything you need, including a special pasta area, and an enclosed wine bar. What else do you need from your local grocery store?
If you are looking to experience a totally fun way of grocery shopping, then you might like Whole Foods on Ashland Ave. Aside from having a very large grocery store, there is a restaurant and bar. On the lower level, there is a wonderful coffee shop and comfortable seating. I like the fact that this Whole Foods has a multi-level parking garage too. Certainly one of the most modern grocery stores Ive ever been to.
First time at that location of Whole Foods. Nice place, but as one moves to the back of the store the music was so excruciatingly loud, I abandoned my cart and left the store. I dont know why the music at the back of the store is so loud, but not in the rest of the store. The only thing I can think is a lot of refrigerated cases are noisy and music was meant to cover it. But hey, playing the song Brick House loud enough to shake the fillings in your teeth is not a good way of endearing yourself to customers.I asked the manager why the music was so loud at the back of the store and not at the front of the store and the only thing he could tell me was it had to be that loud or the associates could not hear announcements. Did not make a lot of sense to me. Then he tried saying it was the acoustics of the store. Again if so loud in back and not loud at the front of the store, it just tells me that they need to fix their speaker system.
Pretty standard Whole Foods. Theres a coffee shop on the bottom floor, a big parking garage, and the grocery store and eateries are upstairs. The staff were pretty knowledgeable when I asked for something fairly obscure. Good selection of produce, meats and poultry, and beer and wine.
Kind of sets a new bar for Whole Foods. This place is enormous, brightly lit, and spacious. The bottom floor is, oddly, just little cafes, so you always have to go up the escalators which is a tiny bit annoying. But the parking and accessibility is a huge relief compared to the previous Ashland location.
Ive always had a pleasant experience here. The checkout lines are never to long and the employees are always very helpful. I go to the seafood counter often and am very picky about whats fresh and whats not. They help walk me though it and provide solid recommendations.
I took the opportunity to go to the Lakeview store while visiting a friend on the north side. Im a south side resident and closest to me are the Hyde Park and Englewood stores which are much smaller. I enjoyed the experience in the larger store with a wider choice of products to choose from. The ambiance was nice and I liked the layout where you can get coffee in a separate area avoiding the store if youre not interested in shopping.
Every time I come in this store someone always greets me. The food is always fresh and it smells great. I have (had) a habit of getting the curry chicken salad a few times a week. The people in that department started to remember me. They also had conversations with me so it wasnt just generic customer service.
I used to love the location cross the street. I feel like Wholefoods company is going through an identity crisis. It doesnt really know how to define itself in the competition. For me, the old Lakeview location was my favorite wholefoods store with its little neighborhood farmers market feel. All clerks were so nice and polite, and greeted you personally. I used to get my weekly grocery shopping done here. The new location looks like a big food court with a grocery store attached. And at the food court, you will be skeptical to see the mounds and mounds of food. What do they do with their leftover gelato at the end of the day?? It surely doesnt go with my trying to be simple organic lifestyle. Its true, with a bigger space, they get to carry a lot more variety. So now, they have 50 different kinds of pasta instead of like 15 they used to. The thing is though, I used to be able to get everything I needed from old store. They advertise serving wine and beer for the customers to enjoy sipping on while they are shopping and it just make me wonder if that is a definition of dependency if someone has to relax with wine and beer while picking up grocery. I havent found an alternative yet, so Ill be going to Whole foods, probably another location for awhile, but Im disappointed to see that they are only following the trend of Marianos.
Hi, we are paying lots of money for food we think its fresh well we are wrong I know many people do not care but I do salads are not fresh tuna reps NO NO . I can believe they put old food out not caring that children eat that food as well. Today it was my left time I bought salad at that store.
Had a great time in the wine bar today trying flights, cheese plates and celebrating a wedding dress appointment day. Highly recommend the wine bar in back for small parties. Very accommodating, friendly staff! Consider the Wine Box for groups and daytime wine sampling!
Buyer beware. Your sale produce in self checkout is unlikely to ring up correctly, and Ive seen the issue on other things too. They are aware of the problem that has been going on for many months, and have their self checkout team on produce watch , but there are no signs alerting you the consumer that they have a system issue. If you dont point it out, they dont know to fix it for you. And they do not honor that if it rings wrong its free, they only fix it. They are stealing from every person that doesnt check their receipt, and that is wrong. With all their high tech, Id think this would be a higher priority fix. At least put up signs.
This Whole Foods location isnt quite as expansive as the like none before store in Lincoln Park but they still offer an impressive selection and if you shop the 365 value WF brands you can get good deals. Extensive samples throughout the store and some of the best deli selection in town. A solid selection of beer and wine too.
My new favorite Whole Foods location. Usually, I have to hit different ones to get all the specialty items I like, but this one serves the spinach pies, Greyston blondies, Siggis triple cream yogurt, and Justice of the Pies pie I love. Its also huge enough to handle the crowds, so I dont have to worry about literally rubbing elbows with strangers.
Why are we now expected to be Amazon Prime Members in order to get the best discounts!? I dont want Prime membership. Ive shopped at Whole Foods for decades, it is not a cheap store -- all shoppers should get the same discount. Membership! This isnt Costco! Next, we will have to show an ID! And all those blue Prime signs they have placed up and down the aisles, its starting to feel like Walmart. Im going to try other grocery stores around Chicago, like Marianos, and maybe revisit some old ones that are staring to carry larger variety of produce and more organic foods.
I just got sternly reprimanded by the checkout person for buying 15 items in the quick check out line. I was told by her that she would check me out this time but in the future I would have to have 10 items or less. All of my items fit in half a paper bag. There was not a person in line behind me. So my advice to you if you really feel you have to shop at this high handed, over priced grocery store is to make sure you count those items in your cart. But Im finished with it--its gone to hell anyway, and why put up with this.
The best place to go if i have seen enough body art yet. I dont know if its a requirement to work there, but it seems like everyones got tattoos. Ill never get one, but Im fascinated by those who do and the stories behind them. Oh, and the selection of food and everything else is stellar!
This particular store can get pretty crowded, and trying to park there is a hassle but for all intents and purposes is a very good grocery store. They have great fresh food available for purchase everyday, and the staff is very nice. I always have a friendly conversation with the checkout people and baggers.
They should call this Whole Check. Prices are outrageous and people inside all seem to act like they enjoy being ripped off because they are saving the planet. Far better places to shop without being robbed. Save money and donate it to an organization that may actually do something for the planet or community.
Shame, shame, shame !!!Who ever run this store should be fired immediately!Juice bar accepts only Apple Pay no cash or credit . Discrimination to older people and people who don’t have smartphonesMaybe next time they should ask for passport or citizenship if you want buy somethingI guess the store was open for Apple official not for a regular hard working people
This is not the type of grocery store I would visit for anything outside grilling meats......like at all, no brand variety went in for soup and blah. Im not always looking for cage free vegan gluten reduced saltless popcorn chips. Literally walked out disappointed and with nothing but honey sticks .
While the actual store is nice everything else about this location is terrible! I keep getting charged for organic when I buy conventional and their prices on the sign are different at checkout. Most of the staff is nice but the rude ones are terrible. Today was my last time trying this location.
Beware! This Whole Foods has everything imaginable in a multi-faceted food store: mochi, sushi, hot and cold bars, bakery, excellent selection of organic produce and frozen foods. I could go on and on but I only spent about 20 minutes there. Next trip will be longer and more costly, Im afraid.
This tiny Whole Foods Market in Lakeview isnt as mind-blowing at the super giant Lincoln Park location, but if you need something organic on the spot, it fits the bill.Free parking in the parking tower for up to 3 hours if you have your ticket validated.Friendly and very helpful staff.I would recommend not shopping about an hour to closing time as most of the prepared foods/salad bar are picked over and emptied out.
The prepared food at this location has been steadily getting worse, and rarely do they change it up. How come the food here does not look like the food I see on WF billboards though-out Chicago? The North Ave and Sauganash locations are MUCH better.I think most patrons are of the opinion that since being acquired by Amazon, WF has been less about quality and more about volume, profit and stuffed animals. I used to think WF was a step above places like Jewel, Marianos, etc. but honestly - given the higher prices at Amazon Foods Ive begun to visit Marianos and places like Harvest Time (awesome) more often. Caveat emptor...
Amazon is ruining whole foods. Love Prime but they arent getting this right so far. Shelves sometimes empty. Cod not on sale during Lent. Problem with stocking items as they are losing many of their past suppliers due to onerous Amazon rules. Store was the emptiest Ive ever seen it last 2 times I was there. Think people are shopping at Marianos :)
Its became my one of the best lunch places , second floor lunch area , wide selection of food , freshly made meals , great service and if you decide to do early dinner on Friday 😉 they have a full bar on a second floor with crazy selections of crafted beer , highly recommend , enjoy
This location is convenient for WF shopping in Lakeview. It has ready access at the intersection of Lincoln/Ashland/Belmont, but is tucked away just north with access between Lincoln and Ashland. There is plentiful bike parking and a car lot on the surface and up above. The store itself is not as gargantuan as its River North cousin, and can feel a bit tight, but it doesnt have the insanity of that other location, service is better, and the store feels more cared-for.A few specific comparisons would note that this location does not have teese for some reason, but the RN location does. This location is also not as convenient for access via the L (red line); however it is on the Ashland bus line. This location doesnt have the rabid food demos, but I like not having a million distractions when I get groceries.
New facility with a variety of extras found in flagship Whole Foods stores. Could use a bit less variety in fresh non prepackaged produce, that would be an advantage in this area in particular. Otherwise all the bulk, health, whole, non GMO fare you expect from Whole Foods.
Idk how anyone can dislike this Whole Foods... Amazing bar that will provide you with a fantastic drink to start an always fabulous shopping experience and all of the best choices for meat, cheese, veggies, beer, wine, hot food, etc. I know its a bit pricier but this place is worth it to me.
Beware.. Never would have I expected the store manager to ask me for my receipt in front of everyone. When your cashier asked if I wanted it and I declined, doesnt make me a thief. Next time get the facts before you make assumptions. Never again will you get my business.
I just go to WF for beer; this location has like 30 taps, and typically has at least a whale or 2, including several barrel aged & high abv selections. On Thursdays its $4 a pour, ($4 KBS, or Abraxas anyone?) service can be iffy, but now that the stores been open & theyre not too busy, may be less of an issue.
The beauty of JPs curation of Wine Boxes Wine Tasting is the variety of brands with singular theme. You DO learn something from it. Today is all about FAMILY OWNED sparkling wines. I have had a few wine tastings, and JP speaks the most educational and practically useful tidbits of information. #30daychallenge Lactose intolerance SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS. No pizza, no mozzarella sticks, no ice cream sundaes, blah blah blah. And please, spare me the sell on cheeseless pizza. Thats a total oxymoron. Luckily I have the Lakeview Whole Foods to scratch this itch for a tall glass of cold milk thanks to the slew of non-dairy beverages and frozen desserts, on the market. Even better, the staff at Whole Foods completely understand the plight of the lactose-intolerant and have gone out of their way to make sure I know about the depth and breadth of options and alternatives. Coconut milk yogurt, soy egg nog, and vegan candy bars have been recommended by the Whole Foods staff, half the time without me even asking; they noticed my lack of dairy in my shopping cart and struck up a conversation. This is totally typical of the superlative customer service I have experienced time and time again at this location. The florist has whipped up gorgeous last-minute bouquets for me (Mothers Day tends to sneak up on me), they have pointed me in the right direction for herbs/vitamins/supplements, and are quick to offer samples and tastes when I wonder what the hell a quinoa-apple-tofu-vinegar salad tastes like (yummy, actually). Yeah, its spendy, and yeah, I am probably a raving yuppie, but whatever. You keep your pizza, I will keep the awesome staff at the Lakeview Whole Foods.

2022-03-01I think this is the best location of Whole Foods Ive visited so far. I just had a chance to visit it for some reason, which definitely has nothing to do with buying many groceries, but I did not lose the chance to explore the whole store myself. It is clean and so spacious. I think it is also the largest Whole Foods location I have visited. Aside from their fresh produce, they also have a fresh selection of seafood, and it all looks really good quality, which is really nice. I like coffee, and they surprisingly have the widest selection of it. I must say that it is not well-organized because, honestly, I saw a lot of shelves that looked like a storm went through them judging by what it looked like, but their selection of everything is really nice. The staff are friendly and helpful too. The main reason I went in there was for some prepared food or something like hot foods I could find inside, and they have a wide and varied selection of them, and honestly, the food I bought was really good with perfect seasoning, flavors, and all. I just wish I lived near this Whole Foods location. Then this would be my go-to store, if ever.

2022-04-21Love this Store!!! One of my favorite places to shop for groceries. I love the Huge selection of Organic and wholesome foods. My wife and I realized a few years ago that a lot of what we were putting into and onto our bodies and childrens bodies were definitely not good for us. They were pretty much poisons. Now with the foods & other products (laundry, dish, and body soaps etc ), were giving our bodies what they need and want. We all feel a lot healthier now. Thanks Whole Foods. By the way the prices here are not bad considering the quality, especially if youre a Prime Member.

2022-03-01Since my wife takes care of our kids and they also have an online class, Im the only one who bought our groceries. My wife lists all the products and foods that we need. Some products that I listed are not familiar with what they look like so I will ask some staff if they have them. I came here immediately when she gave me a list. It was a 20 minutes drive before I came to this grocery store. This place was huge and it looked clean. They have different selections and it looks organized well. I start grabbing the products that are on the list. Im glad that there are staff available when I need help. The only problem that I encountered was a long line at the counter. I waited for almost half an hour before it was my turn. Im getting bored and tired but Im glad its my turn. I paid for it and I bought everything I needed.

2019-04-14By far the best Whole Foods in Chicago!!! Love love love this store!!! The layout is great and easy to get around. The carts are perfect and have a cell phone holder as well as a beverage holder, so I could have a place to put my amazing oat milk latte that I bought before I started shopping. The staff are super helpful and go out of their way to walk customers to the products. No pointing to an aisle here. They will take you right to what you’re looking for and take the time to actually show you where the products are! I appreciate that so much. I am vegan and needed to find low carb vegan options, and this Whole Foods store has everything I need! I only go to this one now because it is the best one in the city!!!

2017-10-11The enormous Whole Foods sign measures 35 feet wide by 25 feet tall, making it the largest Whole Foods sign in Chicago. The sign beckons you to come inside, and believe me, you wont be disappointed. When Kingsbury opened, I thought it was the most magnificent Whole Foods I had ever seen in Chicago or NYC. This store puts the flagship store to shame. While this store carries standard Whole Foods products, they definitely have expanded offerings in many departments. And everything is so artfully displayed, I wanted to buy the entire store! My daughter was visiting from NYC for three days and we went here four times! I live in the burbs, but I plan on making the trip to this gorgeous store on occasion. They also have four vintage arcade games including Pac Man, circa 1980 - how unbelievably cool is that!!
