Whole Foods Market in other cities:
I go here for mom who lives in englewood neighborhood, they carry way less produce since the grand opening. They use the excuse they are smaller than other Whole foods, yeah right. I think this location just aint selling as well. But this makes me have to still search for out for the out of stock elsewhere and gas is risen.
O my goodness I went crazy in this store. I gotta stop running to Walmart for everything. This begin my first time every stopping in to this store was like going to the candy store. The oils I need was all right there the health foods I needed was right there. I spent over $168 dollars in this store. Will be shopping here again.
I usually only stop at this location to make an Amazon return but decided to grab a few snacks. This was about 6:30 p.m. . I stopped over by the bakery and they were very helpful. There was one man and one woman. The store was closing in a little over an hour, but they suggested a few snacks for me to try as they were cleaning up. They even offered assistance in finding other things as well. I slow poked around but decided on deli meat too, from the deli department. No one was available and when someone returned, they stated that they shut down at about 6:45. The store closes at 8 so I found that kind of odd. I guess if you cant make it to the deli before then, you wont get anything. It was fine and not worth the fuss as I wasnt completely disappointed. I managed to save a few more bucks as I ended up leaving with abunch of other things I didnt need anyway. Overall the service was good.
Food was great, so was the service waitress was a very lovely young lady who very attentive to our needs. But let me tell you that my waygo flat iron steak was delicious melts in your mouth I advise the truffle butter you dont even need the sauce they give u if u do .
The staff has always greeted me with a friendly smile upon entering... but they, almost all of them, say hello just as youre looking around, they make my mission their mission when I cant find something. They remember me too. Recently, I had a 28 year friend reunite with me and my new best butcher painstakingly went thru the cuts and helped me find everything I needed for a wonderful evening. She said..What kind of steak was that?! It was great since she is a cook also... she was amazed! When I came in next he knew who I was and we talked about the evening... I consulted him on the next dinner.. flawless... in general 4.5 for the store ... 5 for the butcher!... Thanks guys and gals!
I used to joke about this being Whole Foods mini... but my real assessment is that the people that work here are awesome. Parking is easy enough, I’m thankful for the healthy options and how many people I see from the neighborhood enjoying it. This Whole Foods and the people who work here are a staple to the neighborhood
Its odd to see a Whole Foods store in Englewood but its not unwelcomed. The prices are more fitting to the area and slightly less than other Whole Food stores. The selections are essentially the same as well. Theres plenty of parking, bike racks and located one block from the Halsted (green line), right on the 63rd and Halsted corridors.
Had an awesome experience today at Chicago’s Whole Foods store in Englewood located west on 63rd St. I was shocked at the immediate attention, professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm I experienced. I was returning an item I purchased via Amazon and this Whole Foods location for Amazon return drop offs was recommended. This Whole Foods store was a fresh breath of air when afterwards I pulled into a fast food chain and after waiting an extended amount of time (no one in front of me) I FINALLY was acknowledged with this greeting…”YEAH, GO AHEAD WITH YOUR ORDER”. BRAVO ENGLEWOOD WHOLE FOODS! BRAVO!!! And welcome to the neighborhood. Many thanks.
For the most part its pretty good I go here multiple times a week to buy groceries I havent had any problems with the food or anything crazy like that its pretty consistent its pretty clean The employees are 90% of the time friendly to security guard will greet you at the door nothing negative to say Ive been shopping here for a while now a long time actually
This is a nice store I mainly go to purchase milk because the price is great and its sat at a price point that is for the community and it doesnt fluctuate like other store and its cheaper than at any other whole foods. Also I can always find the Rainer cherries here when there are in season I guess because its such a short season the price is kind of steep but hey everything cant be cheap. The staff is always helpful friendly and nice.
Came in here to grab a few things. Went to the check-out counter and wow I have never experienced a more rude cashier in my life. First off, we asked if her lane was open because the screen said closed...she just stared at us...we asked her again and she just shook her head that she was open, she didn’t say one word to us, threw my pizza slices in the bag on the side, ignored us when we asked her for the bag. She was a larger lady with a bubble ponytail. Please get her some proper customer service training cause that was horrendous.
The employees are great. However the store manager is very unprofessional. He gives a very condescending tone. He treats minority people as if we all are suspicious or thieves. Its even more offensive because he is of the same racial background. I wont be returning there.
I went here for lunch and had some fish, Caribbean styled rice and beans, collard greens, and vegan mac and cheese. Every thing was soooo good. I was shocked to enjoy cooked food from a grocery store. The workers were nice. The store has a nice sitting area to eat your food. It was very clean in the store. I was very impressed by everything that was there. Plus, I love the that I see POC working there.
Decided to try out this location & liked it a lot! The staff were super friendly and quite helpful. Ive been to the Whole Foods in LP quite often and was NEVER asked if I needed any help, but here in the Englewood location, an employee asked if I needed any help finding something.Big props to the awesome employees working here, its refreshing. The selection is a bit small, so be aware of that. The prices arent that low either (though, I am a college student on a budget, so thats a factor).Either way, if youre in the area and/or want to visit this location, I do suggest it.The staff was amazing, the quality of the good is awesome, but its much smaller than other Whole Foods in the city and it is a bit expensive, for me at least.
They were very unfriendly and the deli girl unhelpful after we paid for our groceries we went outside and my dog had to use the bathroom in the grass patch in the back of the parking lot there we had a bag and were cleaning after her the security guard ran out yelling and us to get off of his private property..unbelievable. P. S. Im The food was good old and gross looking in the salad bar too.
I’m a regular customer at this particular location, however, there is a lot room for customer service improvement. Most employees are too busy socializing with each other, rather than taking care of the customers. Sometimes I’m in the mood of a smoothie and the waiting time is just too long that the majority of the time I just give up.
Love the 62nd and Halsted street whole foods, the workers are courteous and helpful, food is fresh and neatly displayed. Really really want to see this store stay in the neighborhood. Folks if you want it to stay please shop there, the success of this store could bring more businesses into the area, and that would be great.
Whole Foods; without a doubt, is the creme de la creme of food markets! Their wild, caught shrimp is twice the size of some major chains large and extra large shrimp, for which there does not seem to be a standard for shrimp sizes. If excellence in aperitif is your choice, and for those very special occasions, the choice is Whole Foods!
I gave one star because I didn’t have a choice but I don’t like being profiled. Me and my family just left their attempting to shop & was followed by security & then CPD because we aren’t regular customers. I felt violated as well as unsafe and Whole Foods will never have to worry about me nor my family shopping their anymore. In the future I would hope you would do better because this is something that the public should be aware of.
I love my neighborhood Whole foods, customer service is awesome. I did have a negative vibe from the young lady that make the sandwiches, so the happy young lady immediately stopped making pizza to make my sandwich because she knew it was not going well with her lazy coworker.
The salad bar is often untended to. The lettuce is frequently soggy and clearly has been left out for the entire day. Today one of the cherry tomatoes was moldy. Thankfully I noticed before I ate it. This place is usually mediocre/decent.Please pay attention to your “fresh” produce.
I have been going to this store for about 6 months. Just this Sunday when I went in the produce was old. Larger containers werent available because they hadnt been ordered in a long time (per worker). No scoopers were available for the spices and the worked acted as if she didnt want to go get more ( told me I could just pour it out). The already prepared chicken salad looked as if it had been out for days, it was so disgusting. As were leaving out the workers all standing around engaged in conversation as if theyre at a party. The only thing great about this store visit was our cashier Justice, she was the sweetest most helpful person there. This store was not in this condition last month....
This Whole Foods is well maintained, the staffs are friendly, and very helpful. I dropped my wallet at the parking lot and one of the employee turned it in to lost and found with everything untouched (money, cards, transportation card) Wished I got the name of the employee but thank you sir for your honesty and making my day.
I came here to get a smoothie and some bacon and a sandwich for lunch only one cashier is usually working today they had 2 and both of them had issues 1 with her register the other had no idea what she was doing. If a nother register is opened the cashier is supposed to take the next person in line not the person at the back of the line. Her inability to operate the register efficiently, caused me to leave my food because I had to get to work and I couldnt spend another 10 minutes waiting in line this is uncceptable staff needs to be trained to get customers out of the store as quickly as possible in the morning and during the lunch hour!
I go in for one thing, but there are so many items that I dont see in my usual stores, I end up buying stuff I cant actually afford. But, thats ok, I dont need to change the cats litter box that much anyway. I also want to say that the personnel is the friendliest and most helpful that I have ever encountered.
Shipping and receiving I’m writing this as a business associate of Whole Foods, there have been numerous occasions where I have been attempting to deliver my products and/or packages and the posted hours do not seem to correlate with the services I have been receiving. There have been multiple situations where I am there within their business hours and still no assistance. I feel that it is very unprofessional to receive this type of service from such a “profound” company!
The 5 After 5 wine tasting events on the 2nd & 4th Fridays have become a favorite with me & some of my girls. The dj is awesome, the wine-app pairings are nice and varied, the staff is super helpful and I always run into people I know. We always have a great time! I always make sure I leave with one of the sampled wines and, of course, some groceries. Ive got to get over there more often!
I went there yesterday evening to get some GoMango Organic Mango Slices, but all of the packages looked as if they had been on the shelf for years (the slices were extremely discolored and didnt look fresh at all). Even other brands of mango slices looked terrible. I then went to the customer service desk where a young lady was standing. As I got to the kiosk, the lady began to walk away without acknowledging me. I looked up at the customer service sign above the desk to make sure I was at the right desk, then I said Excuse me, this is the customer service desk, right? The lady impolitely said, Yes, how can I help you? I explained that none of the mango slices looked fresh and asked if they could check in the back for any fresher packs. She dismissively said, I dont think they keep backstock. I replied, Can you check? She then sternly said, They dont keep backstock. I then said, But you said that you dont think they do, which means that you werent entirely sure. With even more attitude, she said I know that they dont keep backstock. I then asked for her name and she said that it was Diamond. I asked to speak to the store manager, and she said that she was the manager. I then asked for a number to call and complain. She acted like she didnt know the number and pointed to a business card on the counter, stating that the number on the card may be the number. She then walked away cursing to one of the cashiers about me. I then called the number on the card, and reported the incident to Corporate. At this time, a man came over by where I was standing and asked me what happened. I told him what happened, and he told me that he was the store manager, not Diamond (at this point I dont know who the manager of this store is). He then said hed check in the back for fresher packs of mango slices, which he did, but they didnt have any. As I was leaving, I told Diamond that she was bogus for lying about being the store manager. She then said, I am a store manager, so get the f*** out of the store and quit f***ing talking to me! Needless to say, Ill never go back to this particular location.
They will get 5 stars from me if the staff stops all the socializing with each other. They talk and talk and talk to each other. About things that are not to be discussed in front of customers.Engage with customers and not each other. They are not nasty or rude to customers. Just slow down with the incessant chatter.EDIT:I HAVE SEEN GREAT IMPROVEMENTS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! THE CHATTY STAFF IS NO LONGER THERE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! THE COMMUNITY NEEDS THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO SUCCEED!!
I loved it when they first opened...I always stopped by for a few great shopping items... But overnight about a week ago they jacked up prices. Oh Lord I might as well go visit my favorite store downtown. They dont carry all the items as the one downtown... But I understand. Its never really crowded. Now I just like it.
Great location, OK staff and selection of items. Bigger stores usually have what I am looking for as their shelf space is limited. Dont like that they refuse to take checks which is ridiculous considering every other location does. Thats a big red flag because it states to everyone there the only certain people are not allowed to use checks since this store is in a particular neighborhood.
Im impressed. Looking to invest in the area and stopped in here. Im not the average shopper for Whole Foods but this location was clean, friendly staff who provided me a 10$ off coupon and the produce was fresh and good. I picked up the tequila lime shrimped, Ox tails, and several pounds of Lamb shoulder. Im looking forward to being apart of the growth in this neighborhood and providing affordable housing for local residents.
Smaller than your average whole foods, but all the essentials are there. The prepared foods are one of the only, and only healthy, options around, so we stop frequently. Employees are nice, and they do source a lot of locally made products, particularly Justice of the Pies, which we love.
This whole foods is small, but convenient .. It serves it purpose as a grocery store. Just miss some of the specialties, that the larger stores has.Everyone is friendly and lines moves very quickly.. I would like to see more health events there maybe in the summer for the community...
Plenty of helpful floor staff. Efficient carts, shelf prices often not match price at register, which is usually higher. Some one had the DULL idea, to place a (waist high ) potato chip rack in front of the Customer Service counter, in between the Customer and the counter. Cant see the logic.Duh !!
Ok this place is a disgrace.. i cant believe how i was treated. First of all i was so excited to see a new wholefoods near my school. My family was so happy because i can have a healthy lunch. So i went over and went straight to the salad bar and made myself an amazing salad. imagine my shock when there was no dressing for my salad. Besides im paying a good quality price for my salad there is no dressing they can provide. i was forced to buy a entire bottle just for that one salad i got at the bar. I was really annoyed that when i approached the staff there they simply said we are out and can not do anything about it. they said their shipment had not come in and could not provide any. WOW a WHOLE FOOD full of groceries could not supply me with some dressing for my salad. I was hungry an excited about my salad yet mad i had to buy an entire bottle to carry around in school just so i can have my salad. Needles to say their lack of effort was disgraceful. Makes me wonder how often do you change and check your supplies. I will never go there again and i dont advice anyone to do so either. SMH!!!
Lots of good stuff and lots of stuffthey could keep. I spent 15 bucks on some pies. They were a bit different but hey its was stormy someones dream to have a company or whatever. It was basil key lime pie. (Gross...the dog didnt even like it)Lemon custard pie. Even worse than the first one and bourbon pecan pie. That was good. Everyone had their own taste.
Im a Bridgeport Resident. I happen to stumble by this branch, cause one of the closest near me. They have a great collection of essentials any whole foods has to offer. Theyre 365 produces (including milk and eggs) are even cheaper than Jewel or Cermak. Theyre customer service is also one of the best in Chicago. Their staffs and clients are of all race and ethnicities. As an Asian, I dont feel out of place. Because of this branch, I also make my runs to starbucks, then chipotle, which are in the same complex. Thank you Englewood!
I really apreciate having a Whole Foods in our, African American community of Englewood. We needed it and it opens the knowledge door to those who may have been reluctant or misunderstood the value of good healthy food. Everyone is so nice and helpful, and I get to see my good freindMs. Doreen while meeting other beautiful people. Visit , learn, enjoy😃😃
Both my elderly mother and I have been original supporters of this establishment since its first location in the City of Chicago. We sung its praises to every individual we encountered for countless years now. So we were equally thrilled to have seen and laid eyes upon their newest location in the revived community of Englewood! Also thrilled to have seen a new mall containing the infamous Starbucks as well. All nearby Kennedy-King College, one of the citys best community colleges which has also been overhauled after all these years!Yes, this store will indeed thrive and I am so very pleased that community residents will now have ample means to maintain their nutritional health and live far longer!Thank you Whole Foods!
This isn’t a Whole Foods lol. It can’t be!!!!! Unfortunately I still have to go to other WF due to this location having limited options. You bring it up, and the employees say, “ we don’t sell XYZ because it doesn’t sell” ... what is the point of this location???? You came to Englewood to introduce heather foods, not stick to what people have already been eating. The hot bar is pretty much all soul food. What about people who don’t eat soul food ???? I wouldn’t even send my worst enemy to this location.
Workers here are so dismissive, I was looking for a bottled opener to open the drink I had just purchased, I encounter a lady with the Whole Foods outfit and she just walked passed me as if I was crazy talking to myself. Excuse me? And workers in the kitchen were talking so loud about Mexicans, I got offended because I am one!
I like this place you could get her food sit down and eat I had a parenting class at this location the staff is very friendly they are very helpful I really would recommend going there the food tastes good its healthy options some over to be expensive but others arent I like the soda pop that they get there

2022-02-18Its small, smaller than other Whole Foods Ive visited but they carry most of the basics. Clean store, well organized with most items in stock. A small but varied produce section is available. Due to shortages as of Feb 2022 some items are limited but this place is still worth checking out.

2022-02-10That’s definitely the best whole foods, that I have visited. Super clean, all crew members are friendly.l and they take amazon returns. Today I tried samples of delicious chips from Serenity. She was polite and great energy. I wish more places in Chicago had such lovely staff!

2022-05-20The WHOLE FOOD on 63rd and Hastled is the best. What a shame its being closed down. I went in there yesterday just to get their delightful brownies and I didnt see not one on the shelves. I asked the lady at the check out about when will they be getting some in because theyre me and my family favorite. She and the lady behind the bakery counter said its a truck load here but we will have to unload the whole truck because the pallet with the brownies are at the bottom. Then THEY asked, do you have about 10 minutes we can get them. I was so impressed because they didnt just send me away craving brownies, they went the extra mile and accommodated me. I brought 10 of them for my family and I think its only 2 left. 😊 Ill be back soon. Thank you to the wonderful and kind ladies and I plead, please dont close this location 🙏

2022-04-16Whole Foods can do better when it involves their vegetables section. The cucumbers are always molding and soft to the touch. The Red Bell peppers are shriveled and when you slice them open they are bad on most occasions. The cashiers a nice and helpful. As for the security guards!! They follow me each tome I enter the store peering down the eyes to see if I am stealing. Its intimidating and uncalled for. I shop at that location on 63rd st at least three times a week. I usually greet the security upon entry, but still dont understand their reasoning for following me. I am trying to support this location, but if my issues are not addressed, I will go out of the way and shop at the store in Hyde Park or on Roosevelt.

2022-03-21The whole Foods on 63rd and Halsted has a limited amount of items. This truly irritates me because I live in the Englewood community and I have to travel to Whole Foods Markets outside of my community, for a lot of items that should be available at this location. The customer service is poor at this location. Most of the employees have attitudes and are not knowledge of the products and dont like helping. I like the fact we have a Whole Foods in our community but it needs some help.

2022-05-13Had to return a package and they have a counter designed just for that. Very helpful, thoughtful and purposeful way to return a package inside a grocery store. Clerk was super nice, patient and helpful!

2022-05-28It was awful For the price I paid for that GroceriesI reported it and I am expecting a refund. I reported it next time I want to shop there I will go in person myself instead of getting a person to deliver it to me.Wasnt what I expected for the price I was charged.

2022-06-29Hot food was looking like it had been on display all day. Fresh vegetables were not fresh looking and customer service was not good.
