Cashiers always complain about being in fear for their jobs. Numerous times have I gone to the sporting goods desk only to feel like I’m being avoided. Store is clean the parking lot is clean . I have always been greeted at the door. service desk behaves like they are gods gift to Silvis .

Im addicted to Walmart. Its a love hate relationship of cheap products and being poor with little wealth. They have so many items here under one roof that its just a convenience to shop here. Some people are rude... some are a good conversation . I still believe they need more cashiers or people trained for it that are willing to.... Less front end managers that just stand around pretending to work while talking to coworkers and better greeters... the greeters Ive seen recently just stare at me walking in and say nothing.. completely awkward.
I didnt have a very positive experience at my Walmart today. I purchased a birthstone ring in November 2018. A month ago I looked down at my ring and discovered a stone had fallen out. I didnt get too upset because I was told at the time of purchase thatall Keepsake jewelry had a lifetime warranty on them. So I took my ring to the jewelry department, and they told me that they dont recognize the warranty any longer, because they dont sell Keepsake personal jewelry any longer. The manager was very snobbish and had a negative attitude toward me. Believe me when I say that I will NEVER buy any jewelry from Walmart again, and I will tell EVERYONE that will listen to me about how bad their jewelry is!
Came in at the last minute for some dinner supplies and they were already calling on intercom for customers to finish up but they didnt give us any gruff and we got what we needed and left with smiling faces all around. Very pleasant experience given my trepidations and previous experience at most Walmart locations.
I have used this Walmart grocery pick up service every Friday morning for a year now and I really enjoy their friendly service. What makes this Walmart better than others is that they have retained a worker named Robert who provides exceptional service. He collects your order, answers the phones, and brings your order to your vehicle. He has not missed a day that I can remember whenever Im there so I know he is reliable. Employers can teach workers how to do a job, but they cannot teach how to put on a smile and have a positive attitude everyday, they cannot teach employees to build customer relationships at this level and Robert provides those intangibles for them at this location that I do not even see from the managers. I use this grocery service for the two businesses that I own, picking up $1000 in groceries every week and I will continue to patronize them while Robert is there. If you ever have an issue and call walmarts customer help line, dont waste your time, they are worthless contracted call center people. Walmart should promote more people like him because while he may not be able to fix all issues he does what he can because he cares and has pride in his job. Any business owner understands their overall worth is in their hard workers. If you have a grocery pick, I suggest Friday mornings and telling Robert what a great job he is doing!
Right off, if youre looking for fishing supplies and equipment.... Dont bother. Silvis IL has a very limited at best choosing of anything having to do with fishing.But Ill tell you too that if you go there for every day things, be sure to be ready to pick and choose.Good luck everyone!
This was not the location we vist when we are forced to vist a Walmart, but only option on our way somewhere. I will admit the customer service was the same as expected (nonexistent) and long self check out lines. Only reason I gave Walmart a 2 star was availability at time.
Ive found this Walmart to be one of the nicer and cleaner ones in this area. So far the selection of items has been better here than most. If I cant find something in the particular color, style, or size I try here and usually have success. Staff has always been friendly and checkout has been fast.
Walmart in Silvis is my Go To place because they usually have what Im looking for. Its generally clean and aisles arent too close together. Prices are reasonable but wish the merchandise would stay in the place it belongs because sometimes you almost need a magnifying glass to compare the Bar codes on the labels to the ones on the shelves. The item might be sitting on a shelf marked say $5.00 but you get to the register and no, that was some other thing. What you have costs $7.99. It wasnt sitting in the correct place on the shelf! They could put Dividers between each item to stop that!It is also EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE THE AISLES WITH ALL THE PAID SHOPPERS AND THEIR HUGE BINS taking up so much room! Paid shopping should only be done AFTER HOURS and then delivered the owing day! It has just gotten WAY OUT OF HAND!
I do not normally shop at Walmart. But I was shopping with two others for a family our office adopted for Christmas. Both of them shop Walmart often. This one was very clean, neat and friendly. One of the few I have been that meets those standards. Very good experience.
Im from the South and I would get a lot of my southern foods there such as my dukes mayo. I went in the other day and no dukes, so I asked an employee if they quit selling Dukes mayonnaise and without checking he tells me they never sold it and when I told him that Id been getting it there in there silvis store for 15 yrs he tells me I must be mistaking. Im done with walmart. They quit selling my dukes in the store so I will be ordering it from. The dukes company, getting my clothes else wear and my groceries at hyvee and Aldis Bye bye walmart. Your employees are rude, the store is a constant mess, and you never have enough registers open even with the self checkout.
I love this Walmart! I just moved to Iowa and Im from Illinois. And going 15min to Silvia, IL makes me feel a little closer to home. The customers are friendly, and the employees dont just point you in the direction of something youre looking for, but they walk you to the product. Thank you GREAT TEAM AT WALMART!
Looked online to find something I needed and found it. Go to the store and they dont have it. Dealt with two employees that tried to help and they were clueless. Actually, one picked up a different product and said this looks like it and it didnt. Something I should of been able to walk right in and buy turned into a half hour of incompetence. I try to avoid going to Walmarts at all costs. Ive had numerous experiences that were bad. This location is well kept compared to the one closer to my house so thats a plus.
Rude employees, terrible customer service, and...why the hell do I have to ring up my own items?!?!...theres rarely even a cashier anywhere in site. I wouldnt bother asking for help from a walmart employee because...this it what you get, this isnt my department, I dont know, Hey, I just work here, they dont pay me enough to know anything, HaHa. Weve all heard the excuses as to why they cant help you..the examples could go on! This happens in almost ALL walmarts, everywhere, (theres always the exception). Being disabled, I can tell you...more times than not, there are not enough electric carts. And most times, if you are lucky enough to find one, they die, leaving the customer stranded. Now you have to hobble back through the store to get a regular cart, go back to the dead electric cart to get the items so you can check yourself out, because lets face it...your shopping experience has come to an end because you just cant walk the store. Its exhausting, embarrassing and annoying. I could go one for awhile, but...my trip to Walmart today was draining, double the time I had planned, causing me to miss an appointment, has left me in pain, anxiety through the roof and in great need of a nap just so I can hopefully get through the rest of the day..
I think that its just not the same as before. Everything has changed since the Hoax I meant virus . So many of my usual places to eat or shop,have drastically reduced their hours of operation, IF they survived at all.I guess Im just wondering what you are going to do as the virus continues to mutate and because you didnt allow your body to do it, fighting to do what comes naturally. Im afraid you will continue to get more and more booster shots, ( might as well be a junkie) .
I had to wind myself through the produce department to avoid staff who do not wear face masks correctly.The majority of employees in the produce and meat stocking areas were not wearing masks correctly. Their masks were pulled down below their noses, which puts customers and co-workers and even themselves at risk.Availability of the products I wanted to purchase was good and use of the self check-out made this a quick in and out trip, however the practice of such an overwhelmingly blatant disregard for public health by so many of your employees puts this Walmart on my shop here only as a last resort option.
I ordered 2 bags of cheese and 2 boxes of Captain crunch peanut butter cereal. I got 3 bags of cheese and one box of Captain crunch. This online is not going so well. This is not the first time, Ive had problems with online groceries. Yeah prices low, not worth the headache. I should of stayed with Hyvee!!!! Going back to Hyvee for good.
By far the best Walmart here in the Quad Cities hands down! The store is so organized and cleaner than any of the others! Stuff is where its supposed to be at! The employees are so helpful and friendly! Oh and they have more than 4 registers opened at all times!!! They always have the newest stuff available and at great prices! They price match and pretty much every cashier knows whats on sale on other stores and in the ads! The manager must have them reading and knowing whats going on!!! Lines move fast and probably the quickest shopping visits I have ever had!!! Love it here!!! Wish the other Walmarts would take after this great and amazing store!!!
The store is in disarray and incapable of functioning on any reasonable level 5 * customer service hung up on me for X Automotive didnt answer the phone call and then said the people were hanging up on them because they were too indolent to take 3 seconds to answer the phone to tell me what I finally found out after driving over an hour away that they could not change my oil today I then spoke with a supervisor by the name of Asia and explain how one of the customer service Representatives after I had called in to speak with a supervisor do to the issues we were experiencing I was placed on a hold call for a total of 56 minutes while I drove to the store to let them know and was able to find a manager and isolate the phone it had been held on and then she refused to go to asset protection to review the video to find out which employee was responsible and refused to allow me to file a formal complaint with the store Im really disappointed and I think corporate Walmart should have a review of current management staff as they seem both incapable of keeping their employees oriented towards customer service and proactive salesmanship or addressing a genuine concern with any kind of logic and have to have the entire situation explained to them multiple times when they try to come up with some excuse on behalf of their employee for just being incapable of handling their job
Ugh. The new experience of being stopped every time I try to leave the store with a case of soda is enough to make me completely avoid Walmart anywhere now. This is one of the nicer ones in the quad cities but Im just over this and thre fact that everything is constantly out of stock.
Went on to Automotive department to get 2 tires. With my limited availability, they were still able to get my vehicle done despite being booked up and short-handed. Past several times Ive been there, only 2 times they were able to help, either every tech called in that day or were too busy to help anyone.
Only one cashier at the pharmacy entrance and it was 10 items or less so had to go to other end to check out. Then forgot an item i needed for dinner . Went back for it and thought self checkout would be faster well not so. And charged me 6.00 for a little over a lb of Cherries by then I was p.o. so not a good visit today.
For the most part its an enjoyable shopping experience,. Most things adequately stocked, MOST, its Walmart and the SYSTEM has its flaws/benefits. (I know you cant expect $.88 chocolate milk on Sunday evening).I kinda dont care for over focused employees that forget to simply say hello, or perhaps check to see if all is going well on your WalMart shopping trip. Yeah I dont card to be bugged. Normally but I know its NOT the WalMart way.

I love, that they put in self checkouts. Store has been super clean, and neat in past few months.Update..still like the self checkouts, except for the cashiers who stand there and gawk at you. No greetings, no warning when they walk up behind you and invade your personal space for no reason. My kid was putting bags in the cart, and one of the cashiers kept walking up on her making her nervous, so she forgot a bag with rice, and margerine in it. Of course, when I called the store about it, no bag, and they didnt see that.
Working at Wal-mart was an absolute nightmare, the customers were rude most of the time, the management were also rude a lot of the times ,and would not help you move up in the company. Racial profiling/discrimination is definitely a thing at this Wal-Mart by both the customers and management,a lot of the other workers are unprofessional and will smile in your face and then turn around and talk about you behind your backs. Theres also double standards when it comes to who gets gets in trouble when it comes to actions and behaviors. It stopped being fun after a while because you start feeling like they dont appreciate you, Because they dont. I wouldnt recommend working here unless youre willing to be abused on a daily basis.
Taking away the regular cashiers and opening self checkout lines slowdown us people who dont do the self checkout. And how sure do you know them self checkout people are scanning everything that there walking out the door with. Saving money by getting rid of the cashiers equal the money lost by the cheating self-service line? Dont think so better not start raising the prices to cover your losses.
My wife 2nd home lol we enjoy Walmarts prices and selections. You can practically find everything in Walmart! The managers are helpful and always try to find my wife a workable electric cart. I wish people would stop taking them to the parking lot and not bringing back into the store. I see more kids on them than adults! Maybe start asking for Ids idk
Asked if they could find something in the back for electronics only to be told usually what we have is out here which is a BIG FAT PHONY LIE. Because if you have 50+ copies of Fallout 76 Im sure you have plenty of copies of every other game in your store. Also if the old people could quit complaining about how self checkout ruins the whole cashier thing. Listen I get it, jobs this and jobs that. Its 2019, basically the future, I shouldnt have to interact with someone to do my purchases. I know what I want, and I definitely am not asking for conversation on what my plans are for when I get to the register. Pretty annoying. Other than my terrible experience. Im glad were one step away from getting rid of cashiers.
I despise the Walton corporate culture to establish a beachhead, and then drive out the local Mom-and-Pop small businesses. But they are successful by offering a wide variety of products at low prices (due to enormous-quantity buying from their vendors). I sheepishly admit to shopping at Wal-Mart on occasion.
Walmart has come a long way in making customer service a priority. The Walmart Pay is great. It seems most employees have become much friendlier and more willing to help you.I go to Walmart often and usually find what I need. There are a few items I like they have quit stocking but overall, I am very happy with the products and services I receive from Walmart. I recommend the Silvis location to any of my friends that ask where I do much of my shopping.Thank you Scott and staff for all of your hard work!
Love going to Walmart! The food here is great! Everything no -foid isnt outrageous and prices. Its not going to drain your wallet! You can almost get everything you need here. They have an app that you can download to your phone. This app is wonderful for someone like me who likes to save money and not have to go to 5 places to make sure we get our stuff for the lowest price possible. After you get done paying for your things you can scan the barcode at the bottom of the receipt. You can scan up to 7 receipts in a week. What Walmart does is takes everything on your receipt and checks local stores to see if its cheaper at the other stores. If it finds anything on your receipt cheaper, it match prices it. It takes up to 3 days for them to check the other stores. So if you bought something for $5 at Walmart and they found it somewhere else for $3, they give it back to you. it adds up every time they add to it on to the app. You can add your debit card to the app so that it goes into there or the next time youre at Walmart you can pay with your app. A friend of mine has had it since November of 2015 and has gotten back over $450. I just got the app not that long ago and I have saved money with every receipt.
Brought a receipt but had bought same item on two separate occasions and they would not accept my receipt. So i ended up with $20.99 item that i cant use because they would not return. I never return anything so its not for excessive returning. Check items carefully before accepting because worker didnt give me the item i ask for and can not find the other receipt. Bad experience. I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt but no more. Im angry with this policy.
3, 50 year old men went in to buy chicken and beer. The cashier carded me no big deal .She then asked for my friends, both over 50, IDs. We had been out on the boat all day and didnt have them in their pockets. The clerk then says, well Im not selling you beer if they dont have id. When I asked why, she said because I can. She had an attitude when she said it, and a smile like she was getting enjoyment and was messing with me. I thought she was joking because of her body language and smile. I asked ok, how much really, waiting for my total. She, then snapped at me and shook her finger at me saying, No, I am not selling to you, I dont have to, and Im not going to. At this point I am just stunned and trying to figure out how this sad woman got to such a low place in there life. Guess thats why she works at Walmart.
Received e-mail my order was in 3 hour later another e-mail saying my order was picked up and I hadnt had time to pick it up.Had to call and cancel order.Someone should be checking to make sure people are taking the right order by checking IDs, how did they get my order number to begin with.Received a call a week later saying one of the employees took my package out of the pickup and then put it back in.
There is a cashier that likes to talk, but it will greatly distract him from doing his job of processing transactions in an efficient manner. Knowing this, I have learned to respond to his question of did you find everything ok today? With I dont speak English. This has reduced my time in checkout, however the amount of time spent in line was way too long. Be careful when deciding on which lane to enter, you might want to consider stepping back and observing how efficient the employees are before committing to a specific checkout line. Self checkout was not an option due to the alcohol purchase, because that really confuses the employees. Been there, done that!
After working a 56 hour week at a meat packing plant, I stopped here for a bucket of chicken. I admit I was tired & slow. The lady behind the counter was impatient with me & raised her voice at me! I just wanted to go home & rest. I watched her search through the pieces of chicken & gave me the most shriveled pieces. I thought it will be eaten right away, so it will still be good, right? Wrong ..Ill wont settle anymore!
The employees like to block an entire aisle stocking shelves with sometimes up to six or seven carts and four employees working in the same aisle. Then they have the nerve to ask you to move out of their way after you spent five minutes trying to get to the item you need. Most stocking is supposed to be done at night not during daytime hours. I think they just like to work in groups to gossip and complain about other employees which is what I overhear.
Bought Walmart’s brand Blackweb phone charger cable for IPhone. They are the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever used. I purchased two for about 10 dollars a piece, neither last more than a month. I went to the electronics department and asked about any type of warranty or shouldn’t the product last more than a month? I mean I wasn’t expecting years but geez only a month ? The guy in electronics looked at me like I was speaking another language. I guess you get what you pay for.
Was not good had to move cases of water to get what I wanted then went to deli waited for 3 emplyees to stop talking then after two have left the third told me someone would wait on me soon after 5 minutes I left without getting what I need Wmart geting to be a self service store I dhould of went behind the counter and get it myself
This Walmart in silvas Illinois was not at all a place i will ever want to go to again. They claimed to have nothing that i was looking for, after i showed them it clearly says its in stock on the app. And they had prices advertised and would not honor it. I am not pleased. I will be talking to corporate shortly

2022-02-01Got a blowout replaced here passing through for work from Chicago to Des Moines. Well, turns out they didn’t tighten the bolts all way and I found out the hard way. I tried to get in touch with the auto department multiple times but apparently it’s closed now. I don’t think I would ever recommend anyone have anything car related done at any Walmart, ever. Luckily I am safe and nothing happened but this situation could have ended catastrophically.

2022-02-12Great employees, store has been more organized again recently which is helpful, they have been out of things recently more often again but that isnt against the store. Overall a good walmart to grab your stuff. Pharmacy staff is also nice and efficient.

2022-06-01Its always great there IF I can get a car for handicap. My worst problem is the lack of battery operated carts. I used to go to town for everything. Now I have to let everybody go for me because of no carts.

2022-02-11I really like the techs in the pharmacy. I like management. The fruits and veggies are always fresh.But I do have a big issue with management in the offices in Arkansas! Stop with the self checkout! I have stood in long lines for up to an hour or so. I refuse to use self checkout. The cashiers need those hours and if they arent there why no bigger price cuts? I will stand with the associates every time! I do about 90% of my shopping at Walmart. Automotive, food, clothing, gifts and random stuff I could probably live without. But I will push on across the street to Aldi before I use self checkout.

2022-01-18I did a pickup and it was delayed. Then an employee came out to my car and said it wouldnt be ready until the next day. Than I get a phone call that they found my order but cant release it for some reason. Finally after 2 hours got my order! I have had horrible experiences lately with Walmart. Christmas gifts lost than 6 items delayed than 2 of them just canceled. Some were black friday specials. I ended up canceling my orders and buying from a different store. Im so disappointed in Walmart. I spend a lot money there on groceries. Guess its time to give another store my money. Get your stores organized and hire people!
