Walmart Supercenter in other cities:
Waited for 5 minutes for a manager to approve alcohol for the person in front if me. Since nobody came I walked down to the service desk and the manager was talking to the emyess at the desk. I asked if he had time to come approve the alcohol and he said in a minute. 5 minutes later still nobody came. I left my groceries at the register and walked out. Horribly managed store.
One of my least favorite walmarts. One cashier is insanely rude so I avoid her. Last time I got her on a shift change. Next time, I will leave everything behind. Prices are higher on things like produce, milk, and eggs than Dixon and Dekalb. They dont care if they put stuff with the right tag or not.
This store is never stocked. The shelves are always bare. It is absolutely ridiculous. They dont stock at night so when they are trying to stock the employees are always in the way not to mention all the personal shoppers. You cant get up and down the aisles because their employees are always in the way blocking the aisles. Take the extra time and go to Dekalb or Rockford if you want to find a store that actually carries products and stocks their stores .
On behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ and his great Holy Spirit we want to say thank you for being there for us to do our shopping why we continue to work for Tyson foods Incorporated to feed this great Nation. All of you play a major part in everything that you do to help us keep rolling. Thank you
Some of the staff at this location are definitely prejudice. Ive experienced it twice within 5 days. Everyone black doesnt steal!!! Yet, a sale item I wanted at sale price was only available on line. I paid on line and left my cart at service desk. I walked outside to take a call and make a call. Came back less than 5 mins my cart was gone. The employee who couldnt help me. Took upon herself to take my item and remove, not knowing I paid. It was removed from service desk and came back to me, after asking and saying I paid for it 5 mins later. It was the last item on the shelf. And it was rightfully mine, but it came from the door where employees get checked or check in for covid. Walked back to service desk by another employee, while the one who took it walked the opposite direction. WRONG!!!!! Last week a cashier was nasty at 6:50 am. I had a bike on hold and saw at service desk. I greeted and said good morning. Im here to buy the bike at customer service, can you help me. She rolled her eyes and didnt speak said I need to wait for customer service to get it. Why my name is on it. Im here. She said nothing she could do. I asked for management. He came out, walked me to get the bike and told me to pay at self check out and he walked off. Their employees need to be trained or have an edict class. Im not the one. Yes, its your job. But, when youre wrong own it or get someone else to help. Dont be funky, you know that you had to work in the morning.
There is nothing super about this super center. Rows of empty shelf’s. Surrounding grocery stores do not seem to have this problem. I get there are occasional shortages of toilet paper and the like, but this is worse than that by far. They have been out of refrigerator biscuits for days. Bulk sausage as well. I do not understand. Very sad shopping at this facility.
An Associate STOLE gift cards and sent an empty pkg!Order # : 6142103-232026Ref# 211218-002254This is a slap in the face! The Gnome gift cards were the only 2 out of 11 ordered that did not show up. Your computer system shows them delivered on 12-14-21 and then shows me calling in barley 20 minutes later to tell you the package was empty!! And I asked for them to be deactivated immediately as we did not get them and NOTHING was done about it! I called back on 12-18-21 and the girl I spoke to said oh that other girl must have been new because she didnt escalate this which tells me WALMART dropped the ball!! Those cards should have deactivated immediately to prove that we did not get them!I just spoke with Gabrielle the highest supervisor of the gift card department and she said if I do not agree with the amount of $17.68 instead of the $100 Walmart owes us to reply to this email. She refused to give me her bosss information after telling me Walmart is not in the habit of just giving away money.. are you kidding me!?!? I never asked for a hand out!!! I asked for the CORRECT REFUND AMOUNT.I want to speak with someone who can make this right!
I really love Walmart because you can get almost anything there. Have a slightly amusing story. Amusing to me anyway. I went to this Walmart yesterday because I needed some lint rollers. But I didnt know where to look. So I approached a nice associate from Walmart and asked if she knew where I could find the lint rollers. She pointed in a vague direction and said, oh theyre over on the other side of the store, right by the clothes hangers. I thanked her and sheepishly walked away. My quest then turned to trying to find the clothes hangers with hopes that that may eventually lead me to the lint rollers. It was fun. It was kind of like a scavenger hunt.
Walmart is always the worst place to shop. Wait 20 minutes in line to checkout or scan and bag $300 worth of groceries yourself. Im basically paying Walmart to force me to work for free. Ifbi dont get a discount for checking myself out I dont want to check myself out. Hire more people, be a better company so people will actually stay employed there.
We went into Walmart last evening. I walked all over the store looking for my purchases. Got to the checkout and there were no checkers there. None. Finally found a young man talking to another young man in the self checkout. He was evidently the manager for that area. He was not too friendly and told me he did not have any checkers and would not check it out himself. I will be 90 years old and a month and they would not check my purchases out. This store is not what it used to be. I realize there are issues with the covid etc., But, surely someone could have taken 5 minutes and checked me out I was exhausted.
Walmart is usually bad… so when you find one *this* bad, it really says something. Nothing is where it intuitively should be and no one who works here is ever doing anything on the floor. They typically have one or two human, paid cashiers on the floor but keep installing new self-checkout lanes (read: you get to do the job of a Walton Family employee for free *and* without a discount.)nOBoDy WaNTs tO wORk, they say… This is a load. If you can’t properly staff up, you’re not offering a good enough job. Period. If I tried buying a TV from them for $8.75, I wouldn’t get to walk away and blame them for “not wanting to sell TVs.”Pay your employees. Give them benefits. Run a better store.
Due to a vaccination scheduling snafu with another merchant, the Walmart pharmacy Was able to accommodate us without issues or waiting. The technician registered us quickly and the pharmacy manager Got us in and out out of there super quick. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and positive attitudes of the staff here.
This Walmart location has always been consistent and clean their store is well stocked the staff is friendly whenever I stop by this place I always picked up something unexpected. They are conveniently located between town and the interstate. Their Murphys gas prices are competitive compared to the truck stations just off the exit.
Its Walmart not much to expect but I will say the reasoning for the 2 stars is I asked a employee for help and they said they had to much work to help. They seemed kinda short staffed and made to do more work that 1 person should be doing. It might be time to consider more staff to keep up with the demand.
The Walmart in Rochelle Illinois is the worst place ever. They never have the things you are looking for. And the most of the employees are never helpful. If there was any other place in Rochelle to shop I would go there. I try to go to County Market in Dixon or Hy-Vee in DeKalb when ever possible. I would rather spend a little more and know if I have questions or concerns the employees are there to help.
This Walmart is more convenient than others, since it is the closest one to where I live.I think if they would keep more checkout lanes open, esp at night it would be helpful. I dont like to use the self checkout lanes. The people are friendly & helpful. Their prices are better than other stores in the area.
This review is for their curbside pickup. Would have been 5 stars. Had I reviewed last week it would have been.Due to changes in store policy, they charge for items ordered for curbside before they are picked in store. So if they dont have an item, to bad, you were already charged. They will refund money in a couple days. Only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1 is that the employees doing the curbside deliveries have been outstanding.
Very well maintained. Employees talk to other employees a lot more than the customers, but still are very friendly Environment! Not a super Walmart, but does have a wide selection one grocery, electronics, home needs, toys, gifts & garden.Don’t forget to download the Walmart app and look for new coupons daily!
I stopped in to just pick up a couple of things. This was Tuesday evening 5/11/2021 around 6:00. When I went to the checkout area, there was not one checkout open. Only self checkout.I asked a girl in a yellow vest if any were open. She said nope. And then she informed me it was time I learned a new skill. Its time for a new grocery store in Rochelle.
I dont appreciate someone watching me like Im some common criminal because of the color of my skin. Hi spoke with the front end manager named Sophie who said she cant do anything about her employees just standing watching people when theres other people around making them uncomfortable and it was very convenient that Sophie was very light skinned also
My experience here is okay but not the greatest. The hours are not the best if you have a big family and would like late night trips to yourself. Half the time things are not stocked like they should be. Simple things such as milk will be completely gone. Employees are very nice most of the time.
About a month and a half ago, I stopped at Wal-Mart after work (7:30AM) just to grab one item. I had my first experience with them having NO cashiers on duty. I refuse to use self checkout because I dont work for free and I already have a job so I dont want to steal someone elses. I think every hour that the store is open, they should have at least one cashier. I left my one item behind and went to Farm& Fleet instead. If they get us all trained to self check out, they can cut jobs and leave more people unemployed. Remember what happened to full service at gas stations? If they ever eliminate all the regular checkout lines, I will no longer shop at Wal-Mart or any other store that does this. I support American jobs.
As I was trying to buy my our teenager a swimsuit we were told that she couldnt try on and that if it didnt fit we also couldnt return or exchange! There were no signs stating this anywhere! So we went to jc Penny cheaper prices and even tho we couldnt try on we can return. Walmart is the only store with this policy as if we arent struggling enough! You cant use cash at any of the self checkouts they never wipe down the keypads and the boys that were supposed to be sanitizing the carts had no mask on! This store sucks and I am willing to pay alittle more at other stores from here on out! Yes walmart has officially lost my business!
As someone who has worked there before and seen things as of now from shopping, it really depends who you talk to, can be really unhelpful, electronic department comes to mind since that is mostly what we tend to go in for, except for a couple of grocery items. Last I worked there, produce had mold and the fan system stopped working due to gunk blocking the fans, that was quite a bit of time ago and they did finally hire someone to clean those out like they were supposed to, but they still skimp on customer/employee safety with the pallets on the floor, so they probably went back to their old ways. Doesnt help watching most staff work like 1 item every 3 minutes, slowly pacing back and forth.Asked for assistance with an item in the back, was a car delivery person so am uncertain, but it does come off as odd for them to tell us they wont help us because of their job description. Like just nothing, not even asking for assistance from another employee, using a walkie. Just comes off as lazy.Id say most of the people are good, just dont expect much in certain departments, be inconvenienced by others and to check your produce/meat. Hopefully nothing falls off those pallets and explodes on you too.
It is extremely frustrating trying to shop at this Walmart. The store seems to constantly not stock items and there has been many many different items that we have tried to get and they have honestly been out of stock for months. They are constantly cutting staff and making more things self serve. And when they do have the cashiers on hand that they schedule, there is usually very few even in the busiest time of day. With how much money this Corporation makes, they should maybe put less emphasis on how much money they can get from customers and more effort in customer satisfaction and stop trying to line their pockets while not caring about what it does to the customers. Our Town desperately needs to get another store to give them competition and maybe they might think twice on how lousy the customer satisfaction is.
Came to the Walmart Pharmacy this afternoon and was treated from start to finish, by very friendly and professional Pharmacy Techs and Pharmacist. I could have gone to any Pharmacy but I chose this one and couldnt be happier! If your not using this Walmart for your Pharmacy needs, you should be!!!
I forgot my mask, I was hollering at my sister to bring me one the greeter lady gave me one and let me cut in line. I am handicap and elderly. Not ever one shows respect for the elderly or handicapped .All the employees were helpful and kind.I had a great experience there.
I went over there for the first time very clean very organized especially the bathroom I thought it was on the 4-star bathroom how beautiful I never see a Walmart like that all the woman should be like that my opinion Im not saying all Walmart filthy I just saying that one it was beautiful.
Store frequently intentionally uses less printer ink on receipts. Receipts wont scan, making returns impossible except for store credit.Items in the store are marked one price, but are actually priced higher once you ring them up. Bring it to there attention, receipt wont scan, store credit for you.Popular items seldom get restocked. (They had no acceptable snow scrapers and shovels for pretty much entire winter)When in self checkout store personal frequently eyeball items in your cart.
I was stopped from shopping at this location today because I wasnt wearing a ridiculous mask that doesnt help anyway. I have asthma and cant breath through a mask or face covering. Judging by some of the other reviews I think the management and employees here are on a power trip. The CCCP would be proud.
The store is laid out to make finding any items you need Easy! Plus it was Clean & Stocked up on any thing you need. Plus the Store Employees, from the Greeter, to floor departments and Check out, are very good helping you. Plus I just love that I can order up from my app, & can pick up fast. With Cancer & a disability! Plus I do feel safe . Plenty of shopping carts! Keep up the Great work! Thank you all. Mrs. Chase.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if Walmart hired an appropriate number of employees and also enforced a dress code?!For being such a large, global shopping center, they really let themselves go. It gets worse and worse every year. Some days it’s almost better than going to the circus!
I do not always come to the store in Rochelle but everyone was very nice. But one big problem!! The terrible smell once you walk coming into Walmart. It Highly smelled so strong of chemicals of some sort almost made me very sick. For someone with respirtory problems that would give them a very bad reation to them. Concern person!
Shelves are always half empty. they usually do not have milk. and the guys who work in electronics are lazy. if there is a new game you want and they havent put it on the shelf yet. your not getting it .because there to lazy to go look for it for you. and they will just tell you they do not have it. you might as well go to a different store.
Youre better off traveling to DeKalb or Rockford Walmart & forget the grocery pick up. I understand theres a lot going on with the pandemic but Im only writing this because this is the only Walmart Ive seen that has empty shelves 9 out of 10 times. Ive tried giving them the benefit of the doubt & continued shopping here but its so frustrating! I now prefer to pay an arm & a leg to get my items elsewhere or to spend my time driving all the way to Dekalb/Rockford Walmart.. at least the items I need will be there & wont be a TOTAL waste of time.GROCERY PICK UP - As stated above, most of the items are unavailable. But wait, it gets better... the ones that are available become sold out by the time they start picking your order. (It boggles my mind that they dont reserve items that youve paid for already!!!) So what you were counting on picking up after work to make dinner, youre going to have to travel somewhere else just to go through the shopping process all over again. (or come up with a plan b & c but those items are sure to be unavailable as well.) Not to mention, the produce that they pick for you is always subpar whether its the smallest you could possibly get in size, molded & squishy when you get it, or so far from being ripe that it will mold before it actually even ripens.
This store is consistently getting worse as time goes on. Empty shelves, I cant recall how many times ive had to do without something or compromise for an alternate item, rood employees, talking on cell phones while working and having inappropriate conversations in front of customers too many self check checkout lanes. Long lines at the cashier stations. Now the Garden center entrance is closed..... ? This store is way too big for only one entrance!
Very rude employees! Employee stocking crackers at 10am in the area where you go to refill water jugs was very rude. I was waiting in line to refill water jug behind 2 others , while trying to maintain social distance, this employee tells me I need you to move out of the my way. I told employee that I am not moving closer to others to maintain appropriate distance and she said you need to move over to a totally different isle. Mind you, she had a huge pallet of crackers and could have just stocked others while waiting for customers to move. Why is it when going into this site, employees treat customers like we are in the way? Not the first time have experienced disrespectful employees there.
If you think Walmart has the goods, think again, and take a look at this awesome store! Its got almost every kind of food a person could want, its very well stocked, and amazingly organized so that the average shopper can find something! I figured this Walmart would also have prices pretty equal to the rest of the area, but to the contrary, it is very budget friendly. I will definitely put this on my list of Walmart stores to shop when Im in the area!
Its difficult enough to find places to resupply the truck. Especially during current times. I usually shop here when Im delivering to our Rochelle plant. I pulled in today to find the entire parking lot marked barring any truck parking, threatening tickets or being towed, thereby barring doing any shopping. This store has lost my business for life. And I will be advising all drivers I know who come here, as well as my company, of this stores actions.
Although most of the staff is very courteous and helpful, they are very understaffed most of the time. This would explain possibly why the shelves are very rarely stocked. The shelves that do appear to be stocked are not stocked with the planned merchandise, but are flexed over from other items. Starting today they are installing the mega self-service Islands, so Im sure there will be less employees now than ever.
I appreciate that you want to keep everyone safe with line to get in but if you have it roped off you should do something about the people that just cut under the tape to get in line while I do the proper thing and go to end of tape line. Had 6 people cut in front of me today. Was originally 2 people in line to get in front of me but then I was behind every one that cut in. Your door meter person should be telling people not to instead of watching it happen and not saying anything. I know walmart cant control human decency but they can tell people to go thruogh not under please.
Worst Wal-mart ever horrible management the store is never stocked. The few employees they do have are rude and just plain ignorant. They use to have the lowest prices around but now that they have ran all small businesses out of business in our town that they jacked the prices up that most things are cheaper at the gas station how is that possible screw walmart and all their Chinese products hopefully they get run out of business due to lach of product
Walmart in Rochelle I’ll is a joke they never have shelves stocked food items are scarce at best I’m just trying to feed the family with regular groceries nothing fancy I don’t understand if I travel to dekalb Dixon Rockford there shelves are stocked why is it Rochelle can’t have there shelves stocked
Koodos to the personal shoppers you guys rock. I did the order online and pick up order, they did the shopping for me and picked fresh veggies and checked the dates of all meats and bread. Everything was just as if I shopped myself. Saved me a ton of time and they load your car. Thank you for a great experience!!! Try the shop app you wont be disappointed and it keeps them employed. Way to find a way to keep employees when downsizing departments.
Store is clean and people are friendly but they are constantly out of inventory. Bare places on shelves and empty produce bins are more than common. Also over the last several months they are dropping a lot of name brand items and replacing with Sams Choice items. NOT adding they are removing items- just a sample Brawny paper towels, some Barilla pasta items, Kraft cheese and many more. Will start shopping at other stores out of town as I end up having to go somewhere else anyway to complete shopping
Honestly if you want no stock on anything, or zero selection this is the place . They took this store years ago which was a smaller store on I251 and made this store , which is just as small just has a new face lift , also killed most small business across the street from it.
For a Walmart, this is one of the cleaner, nice ones Ive shopped at. Produce seems pretty fresh, they usually have what Im looking for. It is a smaller Walmart, so they dont always have every single thing you may be looking for, but definitely has most of what I need!
Horrible Experience! Worst Walmart Ive been to. Employees are rude, Talk rudely about customers while standing right next to other customers, and obviously dont care about customers other than their good ole boy friends from town that they grew up with. Not to mention like nearly every other post half the time theyre out of some produce, bakery, and dry goods.
Whenever you go the associates are more worried about getting the items for curb service and not the customers that actually go in. Their carts are in the way of getting through or the items you need. On Christmas eve the website said store hours would be 12 am to 6 pm. They didnt open until 6:00 am. At 6:30 there were NO cashiers in site for check out. If I want a job at Walmart I would apply for a job.
Renew prescriptions they told they would be ready Thursday after 8:30 pm, go in this morning only had 2 of the 3 ready....I could wait for the 3 one to be filled...I told them know that they had 2 days to fill it. I wasnt going to wait for something I can buy over the counter, the only reason its a prescription is so the insurance pay for it. This happens a couple of time s year.
Worst customer service of any business Ive ever set foot in, but generally clean store and only grocery store other than Aldi in town. Not very well stocked and products seem to sell out quickly, and it seems like there are always only two or three checkouts open besides the self checkout, so plan at least 30 minutes to checkout with groceries. Not sure why its branded a Supercenter because its the smallest Walmart in the area its only 60% the size of Walmart stores in DeKalb, Rockford, and Dixon. No tire or auto service center at this store.
Great staff I called ahead to ask if I could park my tractor and trailer before I came in they where very very sweet about allowing me to park on the side of the building to come in and shop. Best Wal-Mart I have been to as a truck driver. Not all Walmart’s dislike us maybe if we call ahead and ask they would allow us on their lots more often.
Half the selection of other Walmarts. I rarely assume that this Walmart will actually have what I’m looking for. Constantly moving items around so you can never find them. I’ve been in there 4 times in the last week or so, and every single time one item in particular I am looking for is still out of stock. Drive to Dekalb if you can.
Already not a huge fan of Walmart, but living in Rochele doesnt leave a lot of options that dont involve driving to Rockford or DeKalb. This is hands-down the worst Walmart I have been in. The cashiers always look miserable to be there and act like they couldnt care less about being there. Customer service at this store is completely non-existant. The produce is aweful! I would never consider buying any of their fresh produce because it looks like it traveled through the worst possible conditions before landing on the shelves. They rarely have the common name brands because they are more interested in pushing their store brand that isnt worth the packaging it is sold in.
This store is a joke. Nobody is ever around to help. If management is out they dont talk to customers ever. They never have what you need and new products you end up liking get dumped before you return to buy them. Avoid the store or spend the extra time to go to Dixon or Dekalb and shop at better stores.
Went shopping for food for my home and their secret shopper in his flat top hat was stalking me over 20 minutes watching me check out and and then sat on the bench watching me scan my groceries for another 10 minutes. And when i paid for my groceries i go to walk out the door the secret shopper along with a self checkout employee stop me to check my cart n again i have paid for everything they check my cart and all that and yet i have done nothing wrong. It was ridiculous honestly. I have done nothing wrong n yet this black man wants to say im a theif.
I have lived all over the US. This is a great WalMart of the smaller sized variety. The product variety is slightly less and the quantity is less, as in other smaller stores. I really appreciate the garden center and the produce is higher quality than some other WalMarts. No car service center bank or Subway. Cleaner than other WalMarts by far. Employees seem happier than other WalMarts.
Shelves always a mess and items dont get restocked very quickly. Not much selection unless you want their store brand. Workers dont seem to know anything about their area of the store (harware, automotive etc) all theyre there for is to restock items. Always have less than 5 checkout open (to push the use of self checkout). Not a great store but its walmart so I suppose that is to be expected.
My mother bought a bike here and she almost died at the hands of whoever put the bike together. She went twas test out the bike and when she stood up and was going to break the handlebars fell apart and she fell into the road where a car was headed towards her. Had the people been texting or not paying attention she would have been hit by the car. When she called and talked to Walmart they didn’t even offer to have her bring it in for them to fix. She called to make sure they knew whoever was putting the bikes together didn’t do it right. When she was returning the bike all they cared about was the receipt and no one asked her if she was doing okay. She went all the home to get the second receipt they said she needed and thendrove back. They then asked if she brought the book back. She hadn’t.Clearly they cared more about the broken product that they can resell again than they do about customers! My mother could have been seriously hurt at the hands of Walmart!
Altho this its a newer, clean store...the variety is the worst Ive seen, predominantly great value/store brand like Aldis. The layout is by far THE WORST! Only one entrance, the full service check-outs are the furthest from the door. The staff is always friendly...yet uninformed, will answer questions incorrectly if they dont know they answer instead of trying to find out. It is a 24 hour store however, after a certain time the check-outs are not open and only 2 staff to service the self check-outs. This store is the closest to me, but if I have a choice I will typically drive another 20 miles to go to any other location.
Edit: rasberries went bad super fast when I just bought them , were VERY rotten and had some kind of I assume plant bug from Walmart on it ..ALIVE , the fruit is terrible!!This Walmart is pretty good , people are nice and friendly although its expensive and the fruit I got werent sweet (I bought plums that ended up tasting sour not sweet , grapes that tasted sour that werent supposed to be and sour rasberries that taste like the rine of a watermelon ) now I have nasty tasting fruit that I dont know what to do with now .
We tried to get 2 packs(4 rolls) of paper towels but the cashier told us we just allowed to have one and she took it put under her desk..I told her it’s hard for 18 wheelers truck to keep stopping looking for Walmart..I asked her if I could get in line again to buy the paper towels that she took out and she said she had no answer on that,REALLY???HOW CRUEL!!!Some times common sense goes a long way, and I’m sure she don’t have one🥴🤬
My 16 year old son spent $600 for new tires for his pickup truck he didnt have money for them to mount them so he actually got them mounted at Goodyear and as one of them was being filled at 25 lb it started bubbling on the side the man stopped and said it was defective so we tried to return the tire to Walmart witching although warranty descriptions fully said it covered manufacturer defects and the manager and side of the tire shop at Walmart refused 2 Exchange the tire so my son had to come up with another $176 for another tire by the way the tire was $123 Tire they charged $ Fix 50 something extra dollars for mounting and taxes the sad thing is we always buy things from Walmart appliances Etc Ive been taking my kids there for toys since they were born and to feel helpless when that manager ripped off my son basically stole 170 a dollars from my child I clearly pointed out the warranty and he downright refused this family sees Walmart in the whole different light now
Wed. June 23, 2016, 430PMHazel and I drove to Walmart in Rochelle, IL this afternoon to do some light shopping. Hazel is ALWAYS with me, and in her usual ADA attire and ID.This Walmart is the nearest one to our home in Paw Paw, and we have shopped here for years. We walked into the lobby of Walmart where the store lines up the shopping carts...which I always grab and place Hazel in the baby seat with her front paws on the handle so she faces me. She STAYS there throughout our shopping chores. As we walked into the lobby for a cart, I notice there were about 8 customers exiting and a senior female greeter...who did NOT greet...she ran over to Hazel and me LOUDLY screaming at me...IS THIS A SERVICE DOG? She was literally on top of Hazel- frightening her somewhat and certainly frightening me...actually she embarrassed me...HUMILIATED me in front of all the customers departing the store.I said to this lady Well, just look at her (Hazels) ADA ID with photo....and then look at my left hand (which is technically paralyzed) and it is in a highly visible support. She stormed off and I noticed she took to hiding behind a partition to observe us coming into the main part of the store. Before we entered, I stopped to think for a minute...made sure Hazel was calmed, then went forward. I found this lady slightly hidden off to the side against a wall...I went up to her saying,You know, you need to be nicer to your customers coming in...and you need to know how to greet your customers...appropriately...especially those in need or with assistance. She then said, well...YOU were rude and just came in, placing your dog in a cart...and then SHE...SHE... came after me!WHAT!!!???? ...now wait a minute...YOU loudly approached us...scaring us and EMBARRASSING me in front of your other customers. All you had to do was to quietly come over to us and you could plainly see (her) ADA I.D. which includes my name and reason for use. You could ALSO see that my left hand is disabled- it is partially paralyzed. She didnt say another word...so I turned and just went to do my shopping.I was bothered by all this...since it is usually Pat who nicely greets customers and gladly and sweetly works- greeting the customers coming in.I decided to get a manager involved...she apologized and was concerned.I left the store with my purchases, but I felt something nagging at me.When I got home, I thought I would call the manager on the phone to let her know that I did NOT want the lady reprimanded or worse...I wanted her sensitivity trained to better deal with ALL customers.I provided the manager with an idea: Please have this greeter:1. SMILE2. Walk slowly over to me with that smile3. Quietly but enthusiastically asking something like...May I say hello to your dog?THEN one can certainly and easily observe WHAT the situation is....and whether or not the service animal is valid.Simple, right? The manager thanked me, but who knows what will occur. Gives me an even more appreciation for Pat!So, that was the story...now when you next see Pat...be EXTRA appreciative to her- she is the model greeter!Forgot to mention...todays greeter was also concerned about Hazel being placed inside one of the store shopping carts. I explained to the lady greeter that since my left hand is what it is...and that I need a shopping cart...I cant manage both with confidence and safety. Besides, I said, dont you at times have children...toddlers inside these seats wearing soiled diapers? She didnt reply to that. They obviously had the WRONG person greeting customers into that store yesterday. My 100% positive shopping experience of the past at that store is now at 50 to 60% satisfactory. They need to make certain that greeter Pat is in charge of that function- had it not been for her past excellent service, my experience would plummet to 0%.I do hope the on-duty manager(s) take heed and follow through!DV
Well the people at the electronics counter made me wait almost until closing to tell me that they are out of the phone that they told me they had on the phone who has one person operating the whole department cheap Walmart thats who and how can Walmart call this pathetic store a super center
Horrible customer service when cashing a payroll check. Been going to this location for months and not one issue, cashing my check. Then suddenly today, they decide that my payroll check is for some reason not legitimate. So let me get this straight, the very same payroll check that they have cashed over the last several months is now somehow illegitimate to them. Don’t go here.

2022-05-15I do not recommend Curbside Pickup the employees dont care if they give out the correct items to customers or not. The employees just give out whatever they feel like giving to the customer. So I do not recommend Curbside Pickup. Just go inside the store and find what you need.

2022-04-02As always a great show. Awesome cast. Masterful director. And innovative designers. The movement coach deserves a special mention. Beautiful and poetic. Doing things in a theatre that could never be done on film or TV. Smart. Provocative. Profound and... Fun!

2022-05-01FYI ROCHELLE, WHY OPEN at 6AM if there is no employees, no cashiers, or NO SERVICE~! Pathetic...I deleted my original post per hubby cause he states your store doesnt have the total blame for grocery prices and it doesnt but your CEO could help...this hyper-inflation is most hyper made-up. I STILL believe Sam would roll over in his grave...SHAME on all large Corporations that stand around with their hands out consistently as it is (ex-lg tax-cut). We will not buy anything other than what we absolutely need from any of you.

2020-03-22Thank you to all the Walmart employees that are hard at work during these tough times. We are praying for you all. The shelves are bare and most of the needed items are gone. Check out the pictures from todays (03-21-2020) visit.Wal-Mart is always there when you need them!! Sometimes they dont always have what you need but you can forgive them because they always have tons of things you need. Prices are always fare and competitive.Plenty of handicap parking.Store is never really busy.Great for the small town of Rochelle.

2021-08-09Its next to impossible to shop at the Rochelle location anymore. We have to drive clear to Dixon if we want to shop comfortably. The Online Grocery Pickup workers have gotten careless. They dont even bother to move out of the way for the actual in-person shoppers anymore. Its like sharing a single-lane Highway with a bunch of Semi-Trucks. They really should train these people to be more courteous.

2022-02-02Typical Walmart, clean and decently stocked for the times.Good resource for a wide verity of items but I highly recommend buying from smaller locally owned businesses before here. I personally will pay a little more to buy from a local business and to buy Made in the USA 🇺🇸 whether at Walmart or somewhere else.
