I never thought I would leave a 5 star review of a Walmart. The employees here were so friendly. The three young folks who assisted me at the curbside pickup for a large item I ordered online went above and beyond. I also went inside for a few groceries and encountered the only friendly Walmart cabsier I think Ive ever come across. And there were enough registers open that there wasnt a long wait like at other stores.Somebody in management must be doing something right at this store to have such a pleasant environment.
Great for grocery pick up. Fast, easy and friendly service.Know that if you need to return anything then come between 8am and 8pm. The CSM will refuse to help you even if its a self check out mistake in their favor to fix(9 year old daughter was scanning and I didnt realize until we got home that she scanned the wrong thing extra times since they looked the same but the prices and UPC were wrong).
My main complaint is the checkouts. There registers open and they were all backed up. Only one side of self checkouts were open. My observation is if the checkout lines are full, open more. You should have more of the checkouts open verses lines. Also as a shopper I do not get a Walmart discount for using the self checkout.
This Walmart has a very well stocked Liquor section however they did nt have everything we were looking for. With that sid I want to point out a particular employee, a young man named Tyler because when I asked where are the frozen Onion Rings he told me where they were then walked me to them explaining they were hard to reach on the top shelf. Well the shelf was empty so Tyler offered to go look for stock in the back and then did so. He came out 5 minutes later apologizing they had no more in stock. I may not have gotten the onion rings but this kid showed what good customer service actually looks like. Little things for some people are Big things for others, Thank you Tyler and to Walmart, you hired the right kid in Tyler.
Well.. lets see.. where to start. They employ multiple people that if you ask for help they roll their eyes and get very rude with you. They are more exspensive then any other walmart in the area. They choose early now because they say they stock at night so you know people dont have to be close together in the pandemic. That being said.. no they dont... we are constantly having to swerve around and through stockers during the day. And people with their online order carts consistently trying to run you over. I have come across a case of chicken before that smelled like some one left a pallet outside WAY to long. And my husband has gotten a roll of burger with maggots before. So you tell me how I should rate this place?
If you are a person of color, you might not want to visit this walmart. I drive trucks for a living, My team driver and I walked in this place and from the moment we walked in we felt very uncomfortable. Not only the customers was watching us the staff seemed to be following us. Then at checkout some lady that was working there came and opened the bag that he was buying. Checking every pocket and didnt say anything. We felt very unwanted and thought that the only reason she did that is because we was of color. We will not be going back to this location ever again. Thank you.
Like all Walmarts they have thier operating problems , they have your product or they dont, in my case they have been pushing thier products and not keeping my nestle sweet cream coffee creamer in stock . Its been a year now , I dont bother looking anymore, I shop somewhere else for it. 3 stars for being a Lil below average.
I Want To add a Review Because of my Own Stupidity by Leaving my Phone on a Shelf while I was shopping & Leaving the Store & almost a hour realizing I Lost my phone, I was able to receive the most outstanding help from the Staff was Impeccable to Say in this Message That the Staff at this Store is Exemplified by theyre actions to Help a Customer in Need. Im always have good luck finding everything I need. Yesterday was the first time I preordered something and used the automated order pick up. It was very easy to do. You just let it scan the order on your phone, punch a couple of buttons and the locker door opens. Very easy!
Did store pickup a second time and it was just as bad an experience as the first time. I dont like the tower for large items bc you wait forever for an associate, they make you get your own cart and offer no help getting it to your car. There are no designated parking spots for non-grocery items.Get it together, Walmart!
People were rude didnt have Any diet Pepsi or Dr.pepper no surger cherry we also went in for oyster crackers had three empty boxes on the shelves were they go when we asked a employee was told good luck on that wal mart has gone really down hill in the last few years they are now my least favorite place to go
I transfered 700$ to myself which walmart accept for me to get there and have some mean manager tell me she culd only give me 500 oln id have to cancel n wait 21 days for a refund i had to argue with her for 20 min to get the money the accepted and said they would give worst Walmart experience ever and the manager was very mean and rude.
New parking lot is very nice. Plenty of self- check registers. Grocery section was recently remodeled and liquor department was expanded. Unfortunately, they are currently using only the south entrance (due to Covid) so the parking and traffic is quite congested on that side of the store
Most of the time people dont want to help you.... Ive had this Walmart deny giving me money for a car battery when i had the receipt... If i hadnt gone to a manager and questioned this i would have been out over 100.00 Plus the behavior of some of the employees assistant manager who is rude and also when having my phone set up with sprint the worker at Walmart messed that up as well.... I heard same worker complain about having to be there covering and didnt seem to want to help me woth other electronic questions the day before I had my sprint set up wrong and was lied to about cost as well as he set my account up wrong i have three lines wanted on one plan he charged me separate for each i fixed the issue with my cell company but why should we any of us have to deal with this when shopping at a big corporate business and have to deal with rude and uncalled for behavior from the store workers....
The people I dealt with were super friendly. The item I was looking for was not on the shelf so an associate spent about 20 minutes looking around in the back and found what I was looking for. Also the people in customer service were very polite. I don’t see this much at Walmart anymore.
Literally always close 10-15 minutes before theyre actually supposed to. Rush people constantly, start announcing that theyre closing soon at 10pm and do announcements every 5 minutes. Whenever Ive needed help from an employee it has taken 10 minutes of walking around to find ANYONE. Its gone downhill.
Good people and great service.Reason I gave it a 3, is that the produce department needs a lot of work, nothing is ever fresh looking, not a lot of variety other Walmarts have more selection.Hope you get better at this Walmart. update, got some tenders and now I need high blood pressure medication, there is so much salt on them my pressure jumped 20 points. Fix this Walmart, your not a young business.
I think they are doing the best they can in these tough times. I witnessed a customer acting ridiculous and very nasty to an employee at the store. The employee behaved amazing. I am not sure how this customer wouldve faired had he been acting like that in a different setting. But those employees should be getting combat pay. Everyone should be a little nicer. These are hard times for all.
This Walmart need to be a little more clean, out of all the Walmart I go to this is always the most dirty one, I have no other choice but to go to this one because its the closes one to home but every time I pass by another one I have to stop because I really avoid going to this one, who ever is running this one please try to have it more clean specially because of covid, I cant never find towels to clean my cart.
I went to the Peru store to return a car battery that had a one year and 5 months left on its guarantee at 9:15am. The auto counter was closed, picked a new battery off the shelf, went to the register and was sent to the service desk. They said that I had to come back at noon because the shop is only open noon to 6pm. I traveled back to the store at 12:15 pm. They said they had to test my battery which would take 1 1/2 hours. Its now 1:10 in the afternoon and Im still waiting for my battery and to check out.
I must say that This is one of The Cleanest and Personable walmart store, I have visited ( Ive visited Numerous) throughout the U.S. the associates carry the Chick Fila attitude and it Definitely Shows........BRAVO 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏.I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL OTHER LOCATIONS TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT THEY ARE DOING..........Sincerely THE CONSUMER
Self checkout is key of getting out of the store in a timely matter. They only have 4 lanes open and frequently run out of product and restock at night. This was the case even before the COVID19 outbreak. Controllers for game systems are cheap here, and so are movies. Their return policy on things is pretty good as long as its not opened or the tag is removed.
Serious failures with online ordering when it comes to produce, and non-existent customer service assistance to resolve problems/make refunds make Walmart the worst place to buy produce in the area as of August 2020. When the service commenced, and was staffed by knowledgeable and well-trained staff, it was delightful, and the best curbside in the area, but the service has changed dramatically. Staff once energetically stated they were empowered to search for the best produce in the back if the on-shelf offerings were less than appealing, but today’s staff act like they’ve never encountered fruit before, and certainly don’t have any qualms about stuffing moldy, leaky mess in your order if they do recognize this product to be damaged goods.The website/app for ordering is also less user-friendly, particularly when it comes to the ability to decline substitutions during the packing process (as opposed to having the delivery person rummage aimlessly through your groceries while your ice cream melts in the sun).The customer service run-around cost me nearly 2 hours to complain about moldy mushy blueberries, but the missing and damaged produce from the week before spurred me onward. It’s better than nothing if you need groceries, but Walmart can do better and so can we as customers (by shopping elsewhere).
Went to print some pictures for my daughters school project. Had 13 pics printed the system was really easy to use at the photo center and while doing it I found out it set to 1 hour photo for the time and I didnt have an hour to wait so spoke to associate and he explained it sets it to that bcuz its the cheapest setting and it would not take an hour and 15 mins later had my prints and was out the door great job Peru keep it up
Non vaccinated people are lying and are just walking in without masks on. They need to go back to where everyone is to wear a mask in side.Was there today and had my car broken into. Lock your cars , put your alarm on. Even for 10 min. Of course customer service was no use at all. They looked at me like i was speaking in a different language.* no security * Since its getting warm the idiots are out in the parking lot, hopping from car to car taking whatever they can.
I havent never felt like writing a review about Wal-Mart because its usually never good. I have in the past answered surveys about them criticising the lack of cashiers and items being stocked. Recently I read an article about a Wal-Mart store in Arkansas doing an experiment with having only self checkout lanes and doing away with cashiers. Im constantly, loudly objecting to this idea because it is a way for them to eliminate jobs. Im not being paid to ring up and bag my own groceries and I refuse to do their job so that Walmart (or any other store) can get rid of employees and get free labor out of the customers. I will no longer shop at a store where they force me to work for free and eliminate cashiers. Anyway I started this review because I was pleased actually 2 days ago when I went to the checkout and found that each and every lane appeared to be open, lights on, cashiers working, AND shorter lines. This is what needs to happen especially during a pandemic. Get people through and away from each other as quickly as possible.
Not enough employees working in the garden center. Started in garden center to buy some bags of mulch, was then told to go to customer service to pay for bags of mulch, then customer service sent me back to the garden center to show receipt of purchase. Was then given permission to self service load the 20 bags of mulch.
I didnt even do my shopping. Ill go somewhere else. Heard two clerks bragging at the front door about how theyd told an old man without a mask...go get back in your car and leave...Well you know what? I left too. So there you have it. I have to give this at least a star to post it. That star isnt for good behavior
I walked in there and I couldnt believe their shelves were stocked !!!I live in Chicago and I go to the bridgeview Walmart the shelves are bare what is going on ???Why is it in the city our shelves are bare but out in Peru Illinois theyre overflowing with toys clothing everything .
We have always been treated very well at Walmart In Peru, Illinois , we have taken advantage of the grocery pick up and also shop on our own in store... never had a problem, the only thing I have a small problem with is that shelves aren’t well stocked all the time but I understand that the pandemic has delayed most deliveries.
Extremely disappointed in the Peru store. Utilized Walmart.com for grocery pick up at the Peru, IL store. Purchased babybel cheese. When I unload groceries I always double check the dates. This cheese was not a week or two past its date, which would be unacceptable BUT it expired in AUGUST, Its November 12th. This is 100% unacceptable! Yes I got my money back but I care more that this store has items out for sale that expired 3 months ago and then has their associate pick the item without ever looking at a date.. Fail and fail again. If you cant rotate your inventory or check dates you have a huge problem. You could kill someone. Do better.
Got a great deal on tires and the woman in the auto department was knowledgable and very helpful! They also have a Pick Up Today tower...so exciting...love all the new tech at Walmart! The wait was a bit long and no where to really sit while you wait so luckily we had another car so just went to lunch while we waited.
At a certain time of day , they dont have many cashiers. Thank Goodness for the self checkouts! I just love them! There are a few things that do bother me. 1. When you are looking for help, there is NO ONE AROUND. 2. People at the self check out once they are done they just stand there while other people are waiting to check out their items. I think the person that keeps an eye on that area should speak up when this happens. It does get annoying at times. I love the deli area. One thing though. where they make the hot food. Some of them are lazy to put down new food, idk if its bc its too much hard work for them, or their shift is going to end. But, when I go there I go for the pizza puffs. and the younger lady gave me attitude about having to put down more pizza puffs. or like last time she said she said its to late to make anymore. I thought customers come first? what ever happened to that? Also, when I call to speak to the manager. They just keep going around in circles like the manager is hiding and wont take the phone call. Im a nice person. Im always nice to everyone. But, when people take advantage of other people, that really pisses me off. There are very kind workers there, and there are some that just ignore you, and walk away. I think this place needs to replace a few people and get better people to actually want to help out customers other than try to avoid them. Its like they hate their job. If so, why are they working there and why were they hired in the first place? Also, The water machine is always out of water. I look forward to refilling my 3-5 gallon jugs. since where I live has well water. (yuck) so, I have to buy a lot of clean fresh water. I hope the company reads this and can fix these problems. Next time I wont be so friendly and it will bother me a lot but, I will go to the BBB if I have to , if this keeps happening. I mean there are Tons of people that go there. Dont you think you owe the buyers good service for keeping the company up and running??Im very sorry if I come off rude in this. Went in early to beat the crowd. Went to check out with my 5 items I got to can that day and there was 1 checkout lane open. 6 people lined up, lady had a cart loaded and it was the 20 or less lane. I got up and the lady said she was late shift and was supposed to be off an hour and a half ago. Nobody showed up for work!!!! THIS STORE NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!!
When picking up your order expect to have to wait for long periods of time because there is generally nobody around. People will constantly walk past you going in and out of the back room and and most of them will not even attempt to acknowledge you even when you say excuse me. I guess once they cross the backroom doors they become invisible so they keep their heads down and walk fast. If you plan on shopping further expect that they wont have what you need because their shelves are usually under stocked. The only reason I gave even one star was for convenience and theres about a handful of decent people working there.
Whatever you do, dont be homeless and think youre gonna sleep anywhere near the store. Why? Its obvious they consider us homeless people to be the thief s I heard that Walmart is no longer friendly to travelers either. They used to open their parking lot tractor trailers and are vs. I understand they do not anymore.
Very confusing. I came to this store to buy cheese and milk, and unfortunately I did not come out with it. I went to the back where the dairy normally was and was guided with an arrow on a sign. I followed the sign all the way across the store and low and behold; no dairy was found. Please shut down the store for a day or two if you want to do construction next time, thank you.
What can you say about Walmart??? The one complaint I have about this store is they dont take the time or money to take care of their fish! Most of the staff have to get your fish for you and half to mostly all of them dont have any knowledge about fish at all. We generally have to tell them step by step what they need to do so they dont kill the fish Im purchasing. Its very frustrating on a weekly basis going into the store and seeing how poorly they take care if their fish. They overfeed and end up killing most of them anyway because they just dont take the time to properly train their employees on how to take care of the fish. I mainly buy them just to get them out of that environment and hope to nurse them back to life in my pristine, well taken care of tank! Sometimes it works out sometimes it dont! But for the most part this is a great Supercenter...one of the better ones I have been to. Hopefully they will realize they need someone who has the care and compassion to take care of this delicate position. Because the condition of the tanks are terrible!
The place was dangerous, covid-19 spreader no attempt of manament to make sure customers were not clustering to much together COMPLETE DISORDER, AND I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THAT WALMART., All the employees were not practicing social distancing just standing around talking to each other,I felt so bad for a elderly lady waiting for her pick up order she said she was standing there for a half hour waiting and no body yet help or showed up with her order and this was the second time it has happened and SHES ELDERLY. AND THERE WERE 3 EMPLOYEES JUST TALKING AWAY, TOTAL DIS REGARD SHE WAS STANDING THERE. TERRIBLE.
Everything I generally need for around the house is here but... The next employees who decides its a good idea to yell at myself and my friends with are children as we are entering due to mask not 100% in place will not enjoy the repercussions of their own ignorance with what is returned, it aint no law so back off we have better than a 96% recovery rating so mind your own!!!!!!
Worst Walmart Ive ever shopped at! Everytime I go, the greeter NEVER does her job, the cashiers at self checkout never greet you, the employees in the aisles NEVER ask if you need help, creepy/weird random people stalking you around the store etc. and creeps following you in their cars in the parking lot. Tf is that about??!
Please stop selling fish.Went in today, more than half of the fish tanks were green. I guess the filtration system had stopped working, as half the fish were dead at the bottom of the tank and the other half gasping for air at the top.I dont know who is designated to look after the tanks but they severely failed. As it takes hours for the fish to die when the filter stops. So someone wasnt paying attention or caring enough.Seriously one hundred plus fish were in those tanks. You should not be allowed to sell them.
Heinous customer service is sporting goods. I went through the process of purchasing a firearm here a short time ago. With pandemic turmoil the firearm purchase was pending through ISP. I went in today to check on it and they have quit dealing firearms and no longer have the firearm i purchased. No phone call. Very very disappointed but hey it is Walmart.
Its dirty. Its worndown, there is always fixtures broken or displays strewn about. They only have, apparently, ONE trained cashier. The staff are rude and ignorant (and quite frankly some are a bit unwashed and unkempt).Their prices are no better than other stores.The grocery area is to be kept clear of imo. Stinks, not well stocked, and dirty.I literally dont even like to have to drive by it.
Why do they close doors at one end after 10pm and then open registers at the opposite end? I was very tempted to throw one package off each of the displays I passed on my trip across the store and again in my way back to the open doors. Doesnt make sense to punish the employees for a stupid management decision though.
I have done 2 online orders and try picking up items from the tower and both times it doesnt work like it is intended. Scan barcode item comes out, not scan barcode and wait 30-60 mins for help getting your item out of a tower. My thoughts are they need to higher some with an IT degree to show them how to run it cause they apparently have no clue with all current employees.
They are crazy about mask . One employee at the hot food part was very rude to my son. She asked where his mask was and to put it on or she wasnt serving him and that he better keep it on the whole time😮also when he was asking questions she was very rude in her responses! This location is in Peru IL!
Had to talk to five people for help on finding a twelve month well calendar with pictures on it, did not have any. But a very nice lady named Hope really showed me around and found some plain calendars. But did not purchase, but the fact of helping customers is the big factor for shopping !!
This store is incredibly dirty and is always very low on stock. Its terrible how they could be out of so many things for long periods of time, consistently. The temp on a 20 degree day was about 50 degrees in the store. Definitely go to Ottawa Wal-Mart over this one.
I dont believe a review is necessary for Walmart. It would be very hard for me to believe that someone out there has never been in a Walmart. But if you havent they have great prices and a huge variety of merchandise. Which includes groceries Bakery Deli liquor soft goods I cant even name all the things they carry. Its not a place you can go in and get out of really quick. So if you only need one item this is not the place to go.
Very clean store but extremely unproductive when it comes to customer service. I believe there were 5 employee manned and 8 self check out lanes out of the 22 that were open, and not once did I see a member of management do a register check and open a new lane. We were in line over 20 minutes to check out $100 worth of groceries which to me is pretty unreasonable especially with the amount of employees roaming the store. Over all though the store does employ very friendly employees and overall I had a good experience.
Came shopping here after work at 3am. First they were out of asiago cheese, so now I have to make a 2nd stop. Then I get up to the checkout. Of course only 1 is open and its full so we decide to use the self checkout. I begin to scan n go only to realize every time I put an item in the bagging area it senses extra items and wont allow me to continue. So I proceed to bag my items and lay them on the floor. Then I realize that the conveyor belt that is set into place to allow the items to move down to you to scan is not working properly. So I have to walk all my items down to where I was after i took the time to take them out of my shopping cart. I even checked the sensors to make sure nothing was covering them and that they were free of debris. I am getting so sick and tired of the poor service and lack of assistance at this store. Flo is amazing but no one else ever talks to you! Its ridiculously rude and inconsiderate.Doug McMillon, please fix this store!
Not the greatest place to bring your kids there carts never have straps, alot of the older cashiers are rude. Ive gotten sick from there pizza, chicken popcorn and there shrimp. There fruits have had mold on them countless of times, they barely have more than 3 lanes open! Completely inconvenient. They are not 100% about thats customers and if you need help finding things no one can help your or isnt around. Literally if they work in clothes department they will not help you with anything else
Its Wal-Mart tons of stuff .fat wastes on electric karts.get up and walk tubby. Great selection. long .long long check outs....ok a up date i saw raw chicken legs that were not wanted in a blue basket sitting by the check out ..they said after a allowed time they would be thrown away....thats your management plan??? asked the check out lady she just shruged....yeh right hope you dont get saminila you know they are gona put them back on the rack wene they get around to it ..1/8 the help walking around like they are lost too..they need to raise there pay and get better managers. and staff.
Prices are good, selection is great. 1 star because the bathrooms are always disgusting, and the staff is some of the coldest and rudest in the business. Id probably be unhappy working there too, but part of being in the customer service business is to provide the customer with a pleasant experience. They never smile, even when they great you with their mandated Finding everything ok?, if you ask for assistance they huff and sigh and all around treat you like youre bothering them. Then they help or answer your questions and walk away without another word, and thats only when they CAN help. In addition, I am usually a late night shopper, so often times the employees are stocking. At least once a week I am having to climb over boxes, move their carts or stretch past their mess, all while 3 employees stand there joking around while they stock. Walmart, please train your employees to provide additional assistance when a customer is forced to shop around store happenings! Move the cart, offer to get something from a shelf... its basic (un)common courtesy. Finally, there is probably the most complained about greavance: not enough registers open! And while they have added self checkouts that are actually pretty good, some people dont want to check themselves out or have a lot of items and those registers are smaller. Walmart, train you employees to move faster, and open up a couple more checkout lanes. Ive seen it in the middle of a Saturday and the lines are 5-7 people deep, most with full carts. Bottom line, start considering your customers experience.
This supercenter is much better than the one located in Princeton... however I was quite disappointed that they took the Dunkin Donuts away! It was great having one there so Im not sure what happened with that!Unfortunately their selection of fish is great but they dont really seem like they take care of them like they should! They overfeed them because they dont really have someone who actually knows anything about fish or how to take care of them! So beware if you go there looking to buy some!!
Cant believe this Wal-Mart would spend money to put huge signs up for NO truck parking!!! Really?? Who do u think brings your product to sell?? Us truck drivers need to buy groceries and supplies while on the road sometimes 1000 miles away from home!!! Not impressed!!
If there was a rating less than one start I would give this store that. May 12th there was no carts available on the North side of the store. Service is terrible, I waited a half hour to talk with a store manager. No one showed up. We left to go to Hy-Vee. Do you know that their store manager gets end of the year bonuses for shorting its customers. Shop somewhere else where you can get some service. debos hardware will greet you at the door and no need to get frustrated. Chains dont care about people anymore only walking dollars! To bad for the employees I know there cause I tell them all the time how much their service sucks there. Do more online shopping to eliminate managers jobs!
Generally is a good place to shop. Sometimes the bathrooms are gross. The family bathroom is usually occupied by a Walmart employee... even tho they dont fo the requirements- which is annoying when you have a toddler and other littles needing to go potty or be changed!
I waited 30 min for them to give me an item that was not available on the Pick Up Machine when you buy stuff online. These Millenials are lazy and never put the stuff inside the Machine for us Online Buyers to pick up. It is faster just going Rob the Ile and picking the item up which defeats the purpose of buying online. GO BACK TO THE OLD WAY!! Millenials are too lazy...
Walmart is the place I go for almost everything but I wish Id never have to do so again. They are a multi million dollar company and screwed me over on a $328 tv that I had a protection plan on, told me to come up and theyd exchange it out and then did not do so. They waisted my time and were dishonest.
Was trying to make a return and the customer service worker needed to take a lesson on how to have godd customer service! Made me wait for her to get off of her PERSONAL cell phone 3 mins for her to claim she couldnt do the return and the manager wasjust as bad! Horrible location
This place has gone down hill over the past year. The customer service sucks big time. No one seems to know what they are doing. If you use the self check out and buy something that takes clerk approval, for like age or something, it can take forever for someone to show up. A lot of employees will just look at you like not my problem. I now only shop here for things that I cant get elsewhere.
When I was at Walmart I was buying a package of meat and there were 2 packets for me and my family and when I was checking out one of the employees took the meat packets away and we asked why and she said only one and I’m like how are we supposed to feed a family of six? And the employee said not my promblem.
I was scan my stuff and. The employee lady kept watch me only . I dont think thats right. I spend600.00. A month and never had a problem at all until now and she even gave my family member a nasty look and wasnt caring Abt other people scanning there stuff. We just think its wrong. They get you in here with cheap prices and lots of selection. But then they try to force you to use automated checkouts where you do the work and deal with the plastic bags that wont open. They have limited checkouts open and alot of the employees working them arent too handy with electronics or counting money. Attention walmart! Eventually the savings arent worth the hassle. Could hit aldi and hyvee while everyone else is still in line 7 backed all the way out to womens clothing.
They need 2 keep the bakers busy n also they need 2 buff the floor every shift n clean all the doors n put security on both n front n back n garage area n security around the guns n bows area with a rope 2 show ur 21 2 look at that stuff Walmart would b perfect they need 2 make changes asap 2 all Walmarts
A very unfriendly staff.Even a visiting manager was rude when I questioned him bout some houseplants in the L&G dept.The plants have been marked down once since Sept 9,I asked him if the plants was gonna be marked down again,I know how the CVP works,the man knew I was from a town 75 miles away,he came back and said plants will be marked down tomorrow and I could come back then.I looked at him,smile and told him he blew me and my question off very nicely and I Thank-you..I left the dept and store.Not good customer service at all.Caps team people had carts right in middle of main walking,blocking the area,this happened on general merchandise size and fresh production side.Not food in hot case over in deli
Illinois Walmarts wont refund my money for a clothing purchase. Using covid19 is not an excuse. They you only prohibit it in Illinois and California. All the other stores take returns.I only go to walmart to fill my 3 gallon water jugs. They are missing out on all my other purchases.
Wal-Mart is terrible. The staff (for the most part) are miserable people...not that I blame them but dang, if you hate your place of employment...find a new job! The produce department routinely smells like rotting veg. The deli has one great employee, the rest are sad.
The staff seems to know about as much as we the customer do. I asked a staff member to show me where a frame for a bed is, and whenever we got there I asked him if there is someone who works in the section that could help he said no. Then I asked him if the price next to the frame or under was correct, he said yes the price said like 80 dollars. Lucky for me a woman had walked up and told me no it is actually I think it was 33 dollars for it. She was planning to buy one had asked someone else before she had came back.
Wal-Mart is gradually replacing its checkout counters to eliminate the high cost of human employees. There were 4 to 5 people deep in the 3 of 11 checkout lanes when an additional lane was finally opened. Forcing customers to work/scan/bag their own groceries (e.g. work without compensation) is slavery! Anti-trust filings against Walmart are warranted.
The older guy with white hair and stubble, working the ammunition counter, really has an offensive attitude. I asked him a question and he was purposely belligerent. He could have simply answered me and been cooperative. I dont understand his problem. I am now on my way to farm and fleet. I dont mind spending my money elsewhere. Update, farm and fleet Ottowa IL didnt have my brand so, I tried the walmart across the street. Surprise, Surprise, the woman at the ammunition counter was friendly. I think they liked having customers. Go to Ottawa store, difference is like night and day.
Brought tire in to repair. They found my rim was cracked. I then asked them to swap tires with rims. In doing so they damaged the sidewall of one tire. Only compensation was received was a $13 tire mount charge. The tire on good rim was only aired up to 20 psi. I had to ask them to air it up to 65psi. I unmounted and remounted tires on trailer.
Overall very poor experience there were several items that I did not realize I could not afford that I left in my cart and I had several loss prevention workers following me around as if I were trying to steal hovering around me observing what I had in my cart. Nearly the entire time I was there.

Non- speacial seasonsWell they ( the staff ) say ok an look for the item in the isles ,The same goes for the pharmacy medicine cabinet itemsOr the electronics , helP an knowlege of stocked items is very good ,An if the person you ask doesnt know they will pass you on to someone who does just ask. Be. Patient sn have a peaceful shopping exsPerience , dont go hungry cause your attitude will. Be anything but patient .The store prices are 5 star rating meaning the Prices for items are more expensive than say the WAL-MART in JOLIET ILLINOISLOCATIONLOCATIONLOCATIONDICTATES THE RISE IN VALUE. The fruits and vegetables arent really ripe and you buy them and hope theyre good when you take them home.The fruit that is cut up and already boxed up ready to eat are never ripe

2022-06-26Have NEVER seen a Walmart this clean! The aisles were all faced, the floors shiny and not one item on floor. Honestly. I spoke with employee about how perfect the store is and she said that this store in an academy store where they train other Walmart stores. Just wow. Kudos to this store... your town should be PROUD.

2022-05-25The older gentleman who gets all the carts in the lot he is very respectful and kind and also acts as a security at night. I feel safe when he is protecting the lot and collecting the carts. I wish I knew his name. He is an older man. He is doing a fantastic job!!!!

2022-04-17I only patronize this establishment, maybe twice a year because Id rather spend more by going to local stores. Today, however, I needed lots of random things, was in a rush with it being Easter. ZERO cashiers. ALL SELF CHECKOUTS.... They are lucky no one stopped me to check my receipt and cart...(which I paid for everything) I have heard they have people check.... I wonder when my paycheck will arrive for being an employee??

2022-05-11I travel quite a bit in this area and am in and out of the same 6 or so Walmart stores. I usually stop in the Peru store 3-4 times a month.Of all the stores surrounding stores, this store seems to always have lines at the check outs. This is before and after Walmarts latest remodeling to reduce the numbers of manned registers and increase the number of self check outs. Best of all 20-50% of the self check outs are usually closed. Again, this is before and after their latest push to get the customers to do it themselves.If youre going to make us do it ourselves at least have them all open.Funniest thing is that I was told this store is some sort of premier/training store. Oh boy....

2022-06-15Stood in a checkout for 30 min.. Watched employees walk around aimlessly, lean against walls, chat among 1 another, close down checkout lanes knowing... What ever happened to the 20 items or less lanes... Why does the lady at the door always ask to see my receipt when she clearly seen me standing waiting to be rung up ?... Why does she always get offended when I ignore her and walk out the door.. If the employees are that concerned with seeing my receipt putting on a check out as a cashier and they can watch it as its printed up.. This way theyre 100% sure everything has been paid for, because they scanned it themself....

2022-06-25Buying beer and liquor, waiting in line about 10 minutes, next at register and boy at register told me to go to a other register as he could not sale me beer, I looked at other lines that was full and told him no I already waited in line and was next to be served,. Why are we putting kids on the register if they can’t ring liquor out , this is so stupid. I want my star back

2022-06-11I call them if they had any casting nets in store so she puts me on the line with someone on that end of the store it took 8 minutes to pick up and it kept transferring me back they sounded ignorant and they said they have them and I go so I can go pick one up right now? And she goes no and then I go to ask another question and without hesitation she hangs up.

2019-07-24The store looks pretty clean its our 1st time to shop at a Walmart in Illinois. We are from Texas. Theres a lot of empty counters everywhere it must be shopped a lot. The employees were nice. And there was actually more than 3 registers open for customers to check out. The bathrooms were clean also which is a nice surprise. There is a lot of Clarence going on at this time .
