I don’t often come here to shop. Recently my family ordered Nintendo’s games online and came here to pick up the goods. We feel the warm service. The two young gentleman staffs are very friendly and enthusiastic. I really appreciate it and will continue to support it in the future.
Worst Management ever! Every time I go I am disappointed by their staff.I really needed yesterday a Money Order, their Customer Support was closed, asked why and Manager told me that they don’t have enough staff. Sure thing, not enough staff but they stay close to the front doors talking with each other “blah-blah-blah” all day, checking receipts or just looking in the sky.I bought some biscuits (I did all the shopping mostly because of them) and their system couldn’t find it by the bar code and one girl who works there “Well I can’t sell you this, the system doesn’t find them, and it’s not priced yet” 🤦♀️ Are youuu serious? It was priced on the shelves. You can really improve on this.Also the 3rd situation I needed a laptop urgently , I came 15 min before 10PM, their Electronic Department is supposed to work by 10PM. Going to the Manager(same lady) to ask who can help and she said everybody left home .Well Walmart what can I say…. your Manager blonde lady needs to be replaced , And some staff too. Or teach them how to communicate with customers , and say “Sorry” or “Let me help you if is so urgent”
I had a item that was bought in err. Wrong brand. Only wanted a credit or to buy another item. Bcuz I dropped my receipt I guess getting out of car, I was denied. Said only I can do is get the same thing. Really???. In that case I didnt need to come trying to exchange or get credit
Went to shop at 11am on a Saturday morning right before Christmas. The store had two check out lanes open... TWO. It had your typical self checkout Lanes, but come on... Thats totally ridiculous. Otherwise the store is clean and fully stocked. Expect long wait times to check out.
Today I went to this Walmart Darien store and the 6 th time this month that did not have Coffee Mate Original in the milk and creamer fridge section. I saw many of them in the back of the fridges and asked one of the Pick-up order preparer woman that when they will fill the shelves and she did not even know what I was asking her. So in short, move your buts and stuff the shelves.
Ive been shopping here for 13+ years. Some good and some not so great experiences but overall there are some great employees that I get to see everyday. Ive had experiences in this store from my son getting hurt at the age of 5 by a toy he want to buy. Then 10 years later him having a seizure in the entry way. They came to aid us at this stressful time. The staff was awesome every single time. ❤️
We drove here to avoid the soda tax in Cook County. The store seems outdated but we found what we needed. They have amenities and accommodations for disabled guests. They have a Dunkin Donuts inside. There were 2 employees that spoke to me in a way that no employee should ever ever speak to a customer. It was like being challenged to a physical fight and this was because I was taking pictures as a local guide!! Oh well its a Walmart if youre close by and need something theyll have it.
Pickup is a disaster! We were on time, in our window, yet we waited for close to an hour in our slot. A female pickup employee told us there were only two people staffed for pickup tonight, and to bear with them. Admittedly, it is two days before Christmas, but *management should have staffed accordingly*. And if there were call-offs, then managers should be on the floor, or in the lot, helping out. Anyway, my husband approached another employee with a walkie-talkie and asked if we can just cancel our order and receive a full refund. The employee said we could. As we prepared to go into the store and speak to customer service about the refund, we were quickly told the order was on its way.
I havent even been into the store yet but I can tell you that customer service as far as calling in is poor. Its 8:00 am and no one is answering the phones in any of the departments. Supposedly this store has 50 some managers and 35 employees or something like that. You would think that the managers could pick up a phone or carry cell phones where the dial in number could transfer to. They are just looking to make money and obviously dont care much about customer service. Just looking to get the oil in my car changed and I cant call in to see if any spots are available. Now I have to drive 15 miles to check to see if I can get an oil change ... Very disappointed, and Im a stock holder.
OK, except an alarm was triggered when I was leaving. They checked my purchases and told me to go. But I wanted to know what was triggering this store alarm. After testing phone, and different items from my wallet, I found that credit card with a chip was the cause of trouble. Strangely, I walked out of different Walmarts carrying the same credit card with no problem. Perhaps, this particular store has its exit sensors set bit too sensitive...
They are bad with cars 🚗 the mess my car up on may 7 ,they did not put no oil in my car and not trying say they not at fault !!! Plz to anyone who drive do not I repeat do not take your car up there 👆 for no oil change they well f your car up and lie about they didn’t
On a Monday morning at 7am, the greeters in the front of the store were yelling about how the country is becoming communist and that people are whining about free healthcare and college. They are free to have their own political views but they shouldn’t be screaming about them right where everyone walks in. One of the people involved then coughed for a while into his hand then was touching all over the self checkout area. I just feel like it’s common sense not to do that.
Here are some ideas, before moving things around make sure you give your employees a general location on where items will be. Make a pathway on the floor or have more than one employee for self checkout lanes… mostly because they are newer and a necessary if people want to continue shopping at Walmart. Make sure your employees are working and helping with the store, not standing around talking with others or on their phone listening to music/ texting… especially when there are no carts, products on shelves, and the store looks like a mess. Go through training your employees on costumer service because they are very unwelcoming and rude. Clean your store, it smells and it’s very dirty.This is from my experience last night:What a disaster this store has become. I understand they are changing and moving things around to keep up with technology, but those self checkout placements are the worst idea they could have possibly done. Great you got rid of some registers to avoid paying more employees, perfect, but then have a plan to set up lines for people to stand in when checking out. One of your employees from last night for the self checkout place standing by the grocery doing nothing but laughing and Witnessed everyone being confused on where to go, how to do it, and people cutting in line without a problem.
This is the 2nd major remodel in a decade. And the new layout it terrible. Theyre also putting on more you scan lanes and removing some cashiers on the process. The new you scan lanes would be fine if the werent putting in the same dirt old card readers from 2001 that are slow. All in all, not at all impressed. Mostly annoyed.
Im amazed that time and time again this Walmart gets remodeled. If i didnt know any better, Id think this place was a franchise, because its the single worst Walmart in the continential United States. Slow service, the place is filthy, no organization everything is thrown around randomly. This place is a zoo, and i actively avoid it. How in the hell has this Walmart been this bad for so long? I grew up here, and in the last 20 years not a thing has changed about it.
This one security guard kept following me around while I was shopping in different areas of the store, I was with my Family, not a fun experience, very annoying when we have not done anything to deserve being followed. We were followed because the color of our skin and the way we look. The security with his earpiece kept creepily following us around the store. He was not a very good security guard since I spotted him the second he walked past us and tried to supposedly shop in the same areas we were shopping.Doesnt have anywhere to scan products so I used the app to check prices, since the majority of items arent priced correctly or are in the wrong spot.
Im so disappointed with my favorite store in Darien! The shelves are almost empty, especially hair colors, very poor stock, almost empty! I used to work there and it was one of the best Walmart in the area! Now is supercenter and there is no even costumers! Store managers open your eyes!
This Walmart is close to my home, but i always hated going here because they never had enough staff on the registers. They got self checkouts by the way east end and then i could get in and out again without waiting on lines. Now they remodeled and took out many registers and added more self checkouts and now half the self checkouts are closed when i go and there are long wait times on lines again. Now i only order online or go to Target. 😪
This Walmart was loaded with all kinds of sales. The staff was very friendly and helpful in directing me to products I wanted to purchase. Actually, I was there to buy a wooden rolling pin but I ended up spending about $200.00 + dollars. The store was very neat and clean in appearance! I will definitely shop there again whenever Im back in the area!
I needed rice for a taco meal. The rice section was such a mess with product mixed up and many laying down and typical brands missing. I was so upset that now I had to go to another store for one item on my list!Also, my husband needed a gas tank exchange for our grill. The cashier was having problems with the register and called the manager who was nearby. He couldnt resolve the issue and just walked away from the poor cashier leaving her with a line of dissapointed customers! My husband just left the can and walked out!! Once again we had to go elsewhere!This store needs better management!!
If you ever thought to even try the curbside pickup dont even try waiting your time.They have minimum 3 different places for pickup thats very confusing, even if you park in the wrong spot theyll never tell you on the phone. There is no sign to where is the grocery pick up location. Ridiculous! 0 stars
I do shop here quite often, hard to find someone to assist you, the main complaint I have, is very few checkout & the lines are always late....I DO NOT like to use self checkouts, main reason it take jobs away from actual people! Half the time not just myself complain of the machines giving problems....Also Im not getting paid to perform playing cashier! People need jobs, NOT machines!
Usually, go here to pick up my prescriptions. Fairly easy process at the pharmacy. Never any staff to be found in the store if you have any questions. When you do locate a staff member they usually arent friendly and seem bothered you are even asking them a question. What really irks me about Walmart is that they do not price all their products within the store so you cant compare prices. Or they price a product wrong and then at checkout your thinking to yourself I thought that was cheaper and when you ask the staff about the price and explain you saw it marked differently they act like you are lying and having them change the price on the monitor is a huge favor your asking of them to do. After many times this has happened I started taking photos of the products and their marked prices so that at checkout it wouldnt be such a big hassle. Shopping at Walmart had become such a time-consuming and frustrating experience so that is why I started shopping online and using their free pick-up service they offer so now I KNOW that I am getting the best deals on what I am needing to buy. Plus, you dont have to tip the staff that loads the groceries into your car. The last time I tried and the staff member was very honest and polite and said they couldnt accept tips but to leave a good review instead. Thus, save money, time, and energy and shop online and schedule (at least 1 day prior) a pickup time that works best for you and follow the easy instructions within your confirmation receipt (sent via email). I so hate this place. used to be my favorite walmart. stood in line forever. no more cashiers only self check outs. bunch of people trying to self check out . workers in yellow ( maybe 6 of them) just standing around not doing anything . some people didnt know how to check out. some took their time checking out texting on the phone... and so on... what the hell is going on ? I left all my stuff and left . Target it is
Today I went to the Darien Walmart with idea to buy a new iPhone. I checked the availability in the store online and went there. I was surprised from the associate that yes, they have it in stock, but keep it for Black Friday 🤯 I called the manager and I had to wait long for her. She came and didn’t even try to talk with me, just walked around, whispered something on the associate and disappeared 🤦🏻♀️ “She said NO” was his answer…… I bought the same phone online and picked up from the store in the same day with no problem 🤷🏻♀️I’m almost every day in this store, it WAS my favorite … until today 🤦🏻♀️
I asked where are light bulbs for a car in the automotive department. The person pointed and said That way like I knew where the light bulbs are located in that section and kept walking like that helped. So I decided to leave the store. I understand a lot of places are understaffed at this time however that doesnt excuse the lack of customer service being presented. I rarely shop at Walmart because of stuff like this. I dont always have time to go to the automotive store because of work. I thought Walmart could help, I dont know why I thought they would.
Long lines because almost everything is self- checkout, very few real cashiers. Prices change every other day, some lower, some higher (mostly food costs go up instead of down). Almost always out of stock on several items... Walmart is really going downhill. The people whom are watching like a hawk while youre checking out should be put to work where it would benefit the store as well as the customers on a register especially during high volume shopping times.
Their curbside pickup is ridiculous. We are currently caring for 2 family members that are in serious condition and we cant leave for long.The store said our order would be ready by 8pm but when we called at 9pm, after hours of waiting, they said they hadnt even started on the THREE simple items we needed. 2 of which were important for pain and allergy relief. The people on the phone really didnt seem to care. Im disgusted by this low quality store.
The door greeter let the person in front of me and my boyfriend go in without a mask but when we walked in he put up a fight about us not wearing one(we are fully vaccinated). He then told me it was my own funeral as I walked away. As we continued to walk he kept yelling at us about death.
This store is okay depending on what day and time youre there. Mornings and afternoons are best during the week. If you shop after 5PM then be prepared for long lines and lack of employee help. The cashiers are crabby and overwhelmed and tonight I stood in line for a half hour before they opened another register. I am glad I only shop here once every couple of months 🙄
Its a mixed bag of items I prefer to buy when theyre available (organic Bubbas Bagels, organic meats). The prices are best here for grocery items when other stores dont have them on sale. On more than one occasion I find organic produce is actually cheaper at other places.
Purchased 4 tires from the Darien store. After a mess up in receiving, Lily in Online Pickup and Leah in Automotive got everything straightened out for me and made my experience very good. Its employees like them, who go the extra mile, that make shopping online a pleasure. They both deserve a raise.
I had to grab something that wasnt available at jewel osco ( Google said they had the fresh Bay leaves but they didnt). I am NOT a Walmart shopper and now I remember why. The place has a strange odor, dirty ( floor specifically) and the type of people in that store are disgusting. I will continue to shop at jewel and target. That place is just flat out gross.. This is the 1st time Ive been there in years and I wont be back soon.
Cant get help, understaffed and over-customered (not a word but it is way to crowded there), parking lot leaves me depleted and furious. Rather drive the extra few miles to Target.Update 12/31/21 if Walmart thinks I’m going to go inside, because their curbside service failed that’s not happening. Again going to Target.
Poor communication on the part of staff employees. One employee said that the customer service department is open while the other said it isn’t. And when an employee by the name of Ashley was asked for help by another customer and I, she just walked away abruptly without clarifying the next steps that had to be done. How in the world does it make sense to close customer service before the actual store does?? And why was no one else qualified to help out so they didn’t have to find a manager by the name of “Dianne” since they relied on her (who wasn’t even there because she was already gone)? The training at this store sucks.
The organization with switching everything around in the store is awful. This is the first trip where I have gone to this store and came out with practically nothing. I could not find anything I needed. At one point I just gave up and wanted to get out of the store because it is so disorganized.
Walmart is usually associated with helpful associates, organized shelving and ease of navigation inside. But at Darien Walmart, I was hard pressed to first find associates and then get them to help me. I wanted to buy a lighter fluid can and according to the app, it said this store had 7 of them. Unfortunately the app did not display the aisle where it is available.After asking 5 associates, I had to return home empty handed as I couldnt find the product. Some Walmart this is... incidentally it was the second one I visited today for the can of lighter fluid.
Reason for 3 stars because while at the checkout customer in front of me had his mask pulled all the way down and he was blowing his nose he never put his mask back up and the register person did not tell him to. I told this register person to clean up the area before I would continue to check out she did not rather she went ahead and scanned my products and waited till the last possible moment to wipe off the little check counter.
Is Corona time and now,more than ever, we need to interract with exceptional people whom lead by example.The manager working at 14:23PM this Saturday ( possibly Stephanie) and whose name badge was flipped as a proof of her professional demeanor, threw my good experience down the drain when asked for help.She refused to sell me two items and the left without a solution for the customer.Update: the manager contacted me and offered to refund bill.I was satisfied just with her gesture- well done !!!
This is my neighborhood store, so Im here pretty often. In the past, my reviews of this store have not been great. However, I have noticed alot of improvement in customer service. Most of the people that work here truly make an effort to assist you if you need help. One day I was in the bakery dept and was asking an unusual question about ordering a cake. The young lady wasnt sure about the answer she was giving me so she called her manager (told her not to worry about it) because it wasnt that big of a deal. Not only did the manager come speak to me, she offered suggestions and alternatives to help in my decision-making. Why is this a big deal? Because both of these ladies went above & beyond to make sure I had the right information. This is just ONE example, but there have been several. BTW..Im not always the friendliest customer. Not rude or mean, just not super friendly 😏!
Good service, reasonable prices if you use the app, but the restrooms are closed and during the pandemic when everybody emphasizes to continuously wash your hands, I think its a mistake not to have the restrooms open. I asked if I could use the washroom to wash my hands and instead this person behind the counter instructed to me to use hand sanitizer which they have on the counter. Unfortunately my hands were dirty from working, hand sanitizer does not remove dirt. Im disappointed with managements decision to have the restrooms closed.
Overall a decent store, the aisles are well laid out and labeled and most everything is in its proper place. The only downside is that finding an associate to help you with anything at all is either like hunting for a jackalope or they are right there when you need them.
Ordered through the Walmart service, Pick Up & Delivery. The Darien stored at 2189 75th Street in Darien filled my order. 21 of the items that I ordered were not delivered. Things like eggs, cream cheese, yogurt, orange juice etc. Things any store should have. I spoke with Liily, who says she is in charge of the department. It turns out their refrigerators were out and everything in the refrigerators were considered spoiled. Rather than give me a phone call, they chose to fill the rest of the order with no explanation. I paid the delivery person a gratuity based on my original order, and now I need to go to the store. Lilly did not feel like she should have called me and said that corporate should have made that decision to call. FIND OUT WHERE YOUR ORDER IS BEING FILLED. Darien is not even the closest store to us.
We needed an item out of the locked liquor cabinet. Finally found an employee to get it opened. He had to go find someone that had the key. A while later we heard the announcement over the intercom to help liquor. After about 15 minutes no one showed up. By this time there were three other people that wanted something out of the cabinet also. They also went looking for assistance. No on ever showed up. We all eventually left. While we were waiting we noticed there were $6 bottles locked in the cabinet and $50 bottles out on the shelves which didnt make any sense. Except the locked cabinet is for items you dont want to sell.
I just visited the store and unfortunately I was not happy with the service that my sister and I received. Starting off at the register, when I was trying to apply for a Walmart credit card. Not only was Jesto not familiar with how to help me, he did not even attempt to seek for someone with more experience. When finally I asked him to bring me someone else, Stephanie showed up. Stephanie had an attitude and was rude when she stated to head to customer service to start application process. I would have appreciated if she would have guided me instead of demanded of me. Then once I got to customer service Lavonne did not seem to know what she was doing. In the middle of the application process, she told me, this cannot be done, do it on your own. I then asked her to get me someone who can help and she walked away, leaving us unattended with confusion. Then came, Stephanie again and instead of approaching us to help, she skipped right over us and assisted another customer service associate with a customer concern without even telling us, to give her a minute. She walked away, helping the customer, while my sister and I were just there waiting. We had two full carts of merchandise that we wanted to purchase. I was very disappointed with the whole process.The only good thing about my visit, is that Shay decided to step over and asked us how she could help us. She really did her job and helped us with everything. So, thank you Shay. Shay also, let us know that Stephanie used to be a manager at that store, I can see why she no longer is.Jesto, Lavonne and especially Stephanie could use some customer service skills.
They had a massive refrigeration failure so out of stock on meats and cheeses etc. Needed help looking for cable management and out of 4 workers, only one seemed to want to help but couldnt and one associate didnt even try just told me its online only without even looking at the item on the app which said it was in stock. Worst walmart I have been to, reminded me of Kmart during their bad years.
Id been placing orders online to be shipped to my home.I recieve items in huge boxes for small items, (why?), multiple shipments, (can not possibly make money with multiple shipping costs), looked up when my other items would arrive, only to see that they were pick up only.Other orders, I had ordered foods and a lamp, a video game and chromecast. The lamp, chromecast and the tame kept getting cancelled. I even placed an order for pick up instead of delivery and they were cancelled. I asked at the pick up location and she wasnt sure but thought it may be that they didnt want cross contamination with food.I checked if it was still in stock and they were. So, i went inside and was told the chromecast was out, they werent sure why it showed in stock and they were aware of the issue. Then, why didnt they alert management?My daughter bought her own lamp, a present from us that was no longer a surprise!I had to look for and find the video game myself!TERRIBLE management! Online ordering the WORST!
This Walmart location is not the biggest Ive seen but it is big enough and has almost everything I typically need to buy on a weekly basis. I gave 4 stars since there are a few problems: sometimes the lines are too long, sometimes some products are missing, and occasionally the store is a bit of a mess, and it is hard to go through the aisles with the shopping cart. The toilets are typically clean, the employees are friendly, and most of them are fairly quick with the register. There are self-checkout lanes, although they are pretty slow and keep making mistakes so you need to call the attendant. There is lots of parking, and lots of shopping carts. The location is good and there are other shops in the area, which is convenient.
I try to return a set of chairs and table but WalMart system was down for some reason...The girl who work at the customer service try everything but she cant resolve the problem. She call the store managers to help out. Mon, Deanna and Jackie spend 3 hours on the computer/phone to help usTHANKS Mon, THANKS Deanna, THANKS Jackie
This place is huge.. Thats the only good thing about it. Everything else kinda sucks. The parking lot is really busy and finding a space isnt easy.. You can park like far far away from the store, but anything close is not really an option unless you get lucky. The lines are enormous. The self checkout line was like 15 min wait.. And I only got lucky because some machines only took cards and I skipped a person in front of me. The scales on the self checkout are enforced, making checkout process much longer. The store by me disables this feature and checkouts take half the time.. I would not recommend this place.
I stopped shopping at Walmart due to the stores always being messy and cluttered and lack of an employee to be found but now that Sams Club has closed I thought Id give it a whirl. I have not been to Walmart since its become a Superstore just FYI. I do belong to Costco but they are limited in their selection and some items are just too large for me to ever use all of it, the rest of the grocery chains are very limited as well and or are expensive. We did find out though that Walmart is not the cheapest grocery store a lot of the items sold at Walmart are cheaper at Marianos just FYI but Marianos not going to have as large of a selection. The store was clean and organized and I was pleasantly surprised. I was there to use the photo department with my dad twice the first time we were there we used the insta prints and we had no issues but there was a customer that was there the whole entire time we were there 30 minutes waiting for an employee to assist her and picking up her photos. Another person next to us was using the instant prints that machine broke down she too had to wait 30 minutes to find an employee. Every employee that walked by when you ask them a question all they could say is I am not a manager Im sorry but Im not a manager, finally somebody else showed up and then we had four people trying to get the other machine to work and we were able to make our purchase at the photo department. I went back the next day to purchase some Christmas clearance and some of the candle items they had there were not in fact clearance nor were they 75% off like the rest of the Christmas items, they did give me 50% off of what I did purchase at the register. At this time of lines were very long and a customer asked an employee was she going to open a register and again that employee said I am not a manager there is nothing I can do is that the motto of Walmart I am not a manager? Is there that much unhappiness with employee versus management thats the only response you get from employees ? A week later we were there again we used the instant prints and we did have an employee there to assist us on the purchase part but I decided to do a little shopping went to the Christmas clearance section, again candle wax cubes on clearance again these were not clearance items yet they still had them in the clearance section I mentioned it to an employee she didnt even respond to me Im surprised I didnt get well Im not a manager. Otherwise the store appeared very clean and they did have enough registers open to get you in and out at a reasonable time
I live in Oak Park amd get up very early to get what I need from this Walmart. Its clean. Customer service is amazing. Even quiet and peaceful. The associates have no issue with helping out with questions. I even had one person who had just started help me out. I told then Thank you amd they replied And thank you! Helping you helped me out for the future. And we laughed.
I was in last night and needed a motorised cart, The only one they could find was outside in the rain. A manager such she was go get it Dry it off And page me when the cart was ready. I was in the store for 2 hours and they never paged me. I left my phone there and wasnt back at 7:00 a.m. to pick it up, And the card was still And the card was still Sitting in the same place outside. The csm never didWhat she told me she would. I was in a lot of pain all night because of ot. I use a walker and have not done that much walking leaving my physical therepy rehab center.
1. Be prepared to wait in line .. any time you go. Typically, only a few registers will be open and there will be a line of people. They need to work on this. This is my biggest complaint with them, and its been that way since they opened.2. I have to say that most the workers there are polite and helpful. Some of the workers dont speak English or speak it well, so asking for help from people stocking shelves is often frustrating. I have not used the auto center.3. They have a pretty nice variety of items (grocery and other), well stocked and at a decent price. Never had a price issue at the register.4. The store is very clean and so is the area outside/parking lot.4. You can never reach a manager (by phone or in person), so theres not much of an alternative to Yelping (to voice either a concern OR a compliment).
Terrible customer service plus could not find anyone to help me. Also no one would answer any phone in any department ! Most all the employees are picking pick up orders instead of helping customers in the store itself ! I had to wait for a half hour in my car to get my pick up order of 4 small items.
Horrible car service bought a balancing package from another Walmart location I went this location but look like car service department guy he do-not wanna work he said we can’t do balancing bec you didn’t buy package from this location I asked him is any disclaimer 1st he said I will print for you than few min after came back said we don’t have in writing feel like he don’t care he was on his phone very bad customer service took my money for lifetime balancing for tire
This location as always been hit and miss for me. Half the time items are not in store or need to be ordered. Depending on time of day staff can be helpful or be terrible.you can walk half way thru store and not see a employee. My experience today was positive was looking for luggage tag and carry on for a plane trip and employee I dealt with walked me to items and was personable. At the end of the day Walmart is more about convenience than quality. When other stores are closed their at least a Walmart open to pickup your random desired items.
Walmart, has just about everything you need and at the best prices around. The stock is pretty much always there and the stores are always clean and free of debris and checkout is very fast. The only negative thing about them is that some of the staff are not very helpful for some reason or other and a very few can be even quite rude but all stores especially large ones like Walmart, have this same problem which Im sure the stores are trying their best to deal with but its not an easy problem to deal with if people dont say something about the ones who are.
I was at Walmart this afternoon looking at perennial flowers outside. The staff was veeerrrryyyy helpful and nice. I was looking for flowers that my mom grows in front of her home and had a few photos of them lol. I do not know my flowers, to give you an idea... This was a mother’s day present, we’ll part of it. There were 3 people helping me outside, and a nice gentleman that was watering flowers meanwhile eventually pointed at the same exact flowers I was looking for. He said he’d been working there for only a few weeks. Shout out to the two lady’s and that gentleman, super happy with today’s shopping experience. I should’ve asked their names :( And, of as I was checking out, I asked the cashier if there was a box available to put the flowers in instead of plastic bags, they took a moment and found a perfect box to carry all my flowers with. 👍🏻 I had not expected that at all, it made my day.
Its good place but they have a lot off empty shelves and that its not good for business, when customers come to any retail business store he or she look for three thing {quality, price, location}.And when they being in the store they have to get what they come for but when they found a empty shelves that means they will not come again any more that is.
I have been on the phone for over an hour trying to speak to anyone but the fitting room associate who refuses to help me because she says that there are so many people trying on clothes. No one is trying on clothes, and customers dont need a key to get into the room. She basically told me Im SOL. I just need to see if I can pick up my order (that I should have been able to get yesterday but never got an email) and no one can help me this is ridiculous. I cant believe that the assistant store manager cant take 1 second to answer my call. I understand it may be busy but its a week day before noon. I work in customer service and this behavior would result in a coaching or even a write up in my store.
I was not able to make a return. They had trouble locating my order number, then advised I had to send it back to this vendor which involves printing an address label and mailing it back myself or returning it to Walmart for Walmart to return it with the address label. Very frustrating! ( Although I typically love Walmart..just not today).
This is my favorite Walmart by far! One of the associates named “Miranda” helped us with our purchase and she was kind enough to show us everything that we were looking for! I finally had a good experience with Walmart! I definitely recommend this locations as staffs are kind and friendly.
Waited around in the camera/ electronic department for 20 mins. Finally found an associate, who just brushed me off, saying it wasnt her department. And then couldnt be bothered with finding me the associate in charge so I can purchase a memory card for my camera. Then proceeded to socialize with another coworker. Great customer service.
This place is always here when I need. I come here daily for late night snacks, replacing broken phone chargers, getting new socks after mine get eaten by the dryer I have at my house. I love coming here because its quick and I know exactly where everything is. They keep it well stocked, and I always get new products every time I am here. The only bad side is the parking lot. There are shopping cars everywhere in the parking lot. I ran over one during the holiday season, luckily I was able to find a quick cheap replacement. I suggest that if you are driving here look for a spacious spot and avoid other cars at all costs. Parking is never an issue I just wish the parking lot was cleaner.
Did not have the best experience in the technology department. There was no one over there and we had to wait while an employee over there named Teresa stood by and didnt respond to getting someone until a custodian working here saw us and told her to get someone after he checked that there was not only anyone in the technology department but also no one in the photography department. And then to top it off the same employee (Teresa) was the person who rung us up ,and when we asked if they do price matches she gave us attitude about it and said no. So to double check that her response was even valid we went to customer service and there was only one employee over there (her name was Stephanie) and she also gave us the same attitude telling us no. Which I thought Walmart would be an organization to do something like price match especially because we can just take our business to amazon and theyll just lose out on business. Instead of simply knocking a few bucks off of an item. And the attitude there was just unnecessary and uncalled for so I will not be taking my business here anytime soon and I recommend others do the same.
Its convenient enough to get a couple of stars but I hate going over here. Part of that is dealing with streets/intersections over there which is not on the store obviously, but once I get there the store is a pain. Apparently they dont like people using baskets since they never have them out, which means people take full carts into the self check out when Ive got two things and just want to get out of there. Add in that things are usually mis-priced and its a store I try to avoid even though its right down the street.
Will not go back!!! While in the store today we couldnt find much of the items we were trying to buy which is kind of understandable due to the situation. While we there several customers and employees were walking around without masks. One of the employees was arguing with my mom that he didnt need to wear his mask when he was in the building on break. We spoke to the manager on duty and she said they cannot force customers to wear masks to enter the store.
Today I had a really bad experience with a associate named Tammy behind the service desk. She was VERY rude and not helpful at all. Then she wants to go on to tell me she has been there for a year. Whomever trained her needs training. I have been coming to this Walmart over 10yrs and now that I live in Lisle I still make my way there to shop. I have never had a bad experience there and today she made me leave without even making my purchases. As she gave me my gift card I didn’t get a thank you come again or anything she said next!!!! Wow
Better than average Wal-Mart .great selection of food. Electronics and fair selection of clothing.. The check out can be improved ..as its about 8 to 20 minutes to check out.. Of course this is because of the stores popularity.. I rarely get to the point of frustration waiting in line.. I choose to go when I wake up and get coffee :) beat the 11 am to 5 pm crowd. Over all this particular Wal-Mart is good. To go !
We ordered something online then found it fir 40.00 dollars cheaper. They were unable to give me the difference so the order was being cancelled, which they said they were sending an email to hayneedle immediately. Hayneedle sent the item anyway. We took it back to the store for a refund only to be told that Walmart couldnt take it back without a shipping label from hayneedle. What good are they when they couldnt take care of taking back the products they sell. . I. Have 2 other items that needs to be returned that doesnt fit us and they cant take them back until corporation tells them that they can take them. 2 thumbs down.
Horrible customer service...I waited 25 minutes for a pick up and a manager told me is already late for a pick up and I explain her that I was there before they close and nobody helps me, so the answer was that I have to keep waiting since she was doing another thing... I wait for 5 more minutes and I went to tell customer service that I have a pick up and nobody helps me, all she said wa that she doesnt have a key and if nobody helps me there was nothing for her that she can do... I was frustrated since I order online for me to save some time. I went to buy what I need myself and went I came back nobody was there yet...
Absolute WORST Automotive Service Department!!!! I needed 4 tires installed on my car. They told me it would take approximately 2-1/2 hours. After 3 hours I called them & nobody ever answered the phone. After 4 hours, I called again. Still no answer! Call once more after 5 hours. Guess What??? STILL NO ANSWER! I finally got someone to drive me there. Nobody was @ the desk. There were 2 guys in the garage. They didnt even speak to me for 45 minutes! I just sat there waiting. Then they said my car was done already. I asked them why they didnt call me. They said they were too busy! Overall, it took them 6-1/2 hours to install 4 tires!!! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!
Parked by the doors that close at 10pm. Was leaving the store at 9:54 while the girl was closing the doors. We nicely said it was not 10 yet. She just rolled her eyes and walked away. We told her that was nice of you, and she repeated it in a sassy tone. People like this should not work with customers.
Friday at 11pm. Only 2 registers open. Self check out closed. Lines all the way into the clothing. Theres no excuse. No matter how much advertising they do and whatever smoke show corporate puts on to pretend they care, it doesnt matter. They cant handle a simple thing like having people be able to pay and leave. Their typically understaffed online pick up counter is a joke. No wonder people prefer to shop at Amazon.
Good Walmart overall. I needed help in the fish department and the gentleman was super helpful. I also needed some fabric cut and they helped out also. Surprisingly for a late night Walmart run (11 pm) the store had plenty of employees walking around helping people. The location is good, right off of 75th and not too far from the highway.
The greeter at the door with the older guy with long gray hair is incredibly RUDE. If you come in an hour before close he will yell “WE CLOSE IN AN HOUR!!!!!” at you when you walk in. Today it was 6:55pm and I had to go into the pharmacy and the home side of the store so I figured I’d go in through there. NOPE. He shut the door in my face and said “WE’RE CLOSED GO DOWN THERE” meaning the other door. So annoyed...
Unfortunately this store has the WORST EMPLOYEES!! They are rude, disrespectful and un kind. They know they can get away with their rudeness so they keep on doing it. I once needed fabric cut, waited for more than 25 minutes asking every employee I can find to assist me. Including 2 managers. 30 minutes later, an employee passed by , I asked her to send someone to help me, she looked at me up and down walk on by laughing and saying “ yeah sure” ! I had to leave. There is no point on reporting anyone because no one does anything. These low life’s been employed for years. As if they have a hook up and that’s why they don’t get fired! Horrible Service!
I have had so many issues with this Walmart. Today I was disconnected or forgotten about on the phone by people in four different departments when I called about exchanging my babys diapers for a bigger size. I had to keep recalling and twenty minutes of long holds later I still dont have any answer to my question. Ive also been left in the sewing department to wait for almost an hour. We went up to the lady to ask her to cut some material for us and she said well Im going on break now can you wait until its over? We asked her if there was someone else who could help us and she said no and just walked away. We walked around the store for that thirty+ minutes looking for help and no one could. We ended up having to set up lawn chairs and sit there waiting. When the woman came back she was like oblivious as to why we were upset. It was so ridiculous. I never leave this place satisfied and it has completely converted me to shopping at Target.
Been here over the years and recently to return items bought on Walmart.comCurrently with the pandemic they have the East entrance open with the West entrance by the Auto section closed.The service area has markers down to help with social distancing. The cashier was pleasant and explained everything involved with the return. One item was sold by Walmart so was credited on a gift card while the other was a market place item so the seller would handle the refund while Walmart handled the return.
A good night of picking up a few items, and then loading up the trunk with too many bags. The security guard actually asked us, while we were in line, if we were parked on the south entrance side. He wanted to lock the doors, but he held the locking till we left. Who does that - great guy!!
It was 5am in the morning and I was looking for some birthday balloons 🎈for my co-workers birthday. Tami save the day by helping me find some balloons and she had great customer service. She is the supervisor at this location and Overall great customer service Tami.! 😇 my colleagues was happy!!! THANK YOU TAMI!!!! 👏
Waited over 40 minutes in sporting goods. Thank you to the automotive guy that tried to find someone. Called 3 times to front desk. Employees paged many times for managers. No responses. Finally after 45 minutes another associate came to tell me that the one person that could help me was on lunch and it would be another half hour. Management, is this customer service?
That guy by the door that always asks to see your receipts almost forced me to double purchase an item because he didnt believe it scanned even though I had my receipt. He kept telling me to rescan it or put it back. It wasnt until I had to read the barcode and match it with the receipt did he finally let it go. Of course he took no responsibility and just walked away like nothing happened.
Went to pick-up prescription. Walked straight up to counter as there was no one there waiting to pick-up prescription, and pharmacy tech comes to counter and calls for next customer to step up. Explained that I was next, that I stepped up to counter because no one else was waiting and he proceeded to ask someone else to help me, which they were busy and denied to help me. So he had to make customer wait whom he called up to counter. He saw me standing there and I told him I was nested. That was a Big problem to me.
Walmart as Walmart, nothing specific, but they started to save money on cashiers. Today (October 9, 2018) at 14:30 only 3 or 4 (attended) cashiers out of, maybe 16 or 20 were open. The lines were not huge but two or three customers with pretty full carts mean 20-25 minutes standing in line. Self-service cashiers were also well occupied, 10-15 minutes waiting. I had to leave my cart with all the choices I made and go since I had no time to wait. Tonight I will go to Target and buy what I need.
I dont like ANYTHING about this Walmart or actually any of them in this area. Lines are always, ALWAYS long. The self check outs NEVER function properly. Dont have ANYTHING to return because that line is even longer. The employees are so busy playing around and worrying about break time. They literally stop helping you out to talk to each other, as if we as customers have all day. Thw amount of rudeness here is unbelievable.
The manager here is completely unprofessional and useless. Not exaggerating there is a line of 40 people ahead of me (not to mention behind me) and there is two cashiers. When addressing the issue with her, she claimed that no one else is trained on the cash register. I asked if she was and she said yes, but she continued to talk there with the other employee while we waited over an hour to check out!
I was rather disappointed with my experiences here the last few visits. First, the contract salespeople in the store trying to get customers to sign up for an alternate utility company and there was another person talking about promotional items. I came to shop, not to experience telemarketers face to face. There was no one around to help me in the paint department, I asked one hound man with dreads, he never made an announcement. I asked two ladies and rather than verbally responding, she nodded her head, I asked if she heard me as she was with a coworker I wasnt sure if the nod was acknowledgement of my request. The service at this location is declining. The item I was looking for in the paint department could not be found by an employee who finally appeared, even though their website listed that 3 was in stock. Well, I ordered the item on Amazon while I was in the store. This is a prime example why people turn to shopping at Amazon.
Walmart Darien 75th St. Darien. I go to this store because I save on necessary items as well on items; grocery, drugstore, overall items for home. Yesterday i shopped here and found everthing I needed plus more. I noticed how overall the store was neat and organized! My Dr changed my go-to pharmacy to be refilled. I always enjoyed going to Walmart. I always spoke to PENNY. Penny has been there for a long time. She is most experienced and goes out of her way (above average) services and her expertise as well as the Manager and all Staff for Pharmacy. Walmart provides me with good value. With covid-19 I continue to wear mask. I noticed how kind and helpful Cashiers are - Walmart utilizes self check-out but I prefer the Cashiers and most have been with Walmart a long time as ELLEN and people like her are ones that make Customers feel special.
What can you expect here? LONG lines. It’s not uncommon to see 10 people in a checkout lane and that’s because the managers don’t open more than two or three. Self checkout, well pack a lunch or lite snack because one usually sees 20+ people in that line.Store is filthy. Store is understaffed, or better yet not trained well. Team members will avoid making eye contact for fear you might ask them a question.Store is unkept and very disorganized. I live 10 minutes away. I will go to the Lockport store just to avoid going to this one.You want to be disappointed then go to this one. You will experience all of the above!
What happened to this store? Out of stock on many items. Store extremely messy. Handicapped shopping carts not plugged in. Ran out of juice and Michael in bakery helped me transfer all my items.3fLong lines with a lot of associates waling around not opening lanes. New manager?
I use this branch quite often, my last visit however was terrible. To find an associate to bring down a bike took at least 30 minutes. Manager by the name Darryl was rude and useless. Darruis 😁 however was an extremely helpful person, and helped us in minutes and we were gone.I think useless people like Darryl should never be in such a position 😐
They car service is horrible. I got 3 tires changed and a week later i so happen to have a nail in my tire. How when its brand new tires. They charged me 10$ after they had me wait 5 hours just too see whats wrong with my tire. They full of sh**. Never again. But the manager cool. My mom gotten a oil change and they destroyed her car. Yeah be cautious.
Very bad experience from photo section today at this location not even eligible for 1 star the guy name mike went to lunch break when I get there for passport photo I went at customer service but still no one have a time to help us then I contact to manager but she even did not have authority to call anybody to help she did not deserved be a manager f**k

2022-02-13If you like waiting 30 min in line, this is the store for you! ONE line open, while multiple employees are standing around the front door and on the sales floor. Unless I am getting a discount, don’t appreciate the forcing of people to self checkout, just to avoid waiting in a long line. Cashier was very efficient and friendly, but way overworked. Also did not appreciate the “Greeter” checking my receipt on the way out, after spending $280, when two people ahead of me walked out without being checked. Had I not needed desperately what was purchased, would have left the store without making a purchase. Last visit to this location.

2022-07-03So I order some food items today for my significant other to pick them up I just had surgery so for us this is literally a live saver since we also have small kids and he didn’t need to go inside the store to pick them himself But some of my items were not bagged and I still got charge for them other than that they are items I need to eat post surgery. I called Walmart and someone transferred my call and it was never pick up. Never buying anything online anymore well at least no from Walmart

2022-06-30Need to exchange a propane tank for a grill.the lady at the self service station helped me get the exchange through the check out and told customers service person needed a new tank outside was on my in less than 5 minutes on my way home thankyou. For great reason to come there.

2022-04-22VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whoever the associate was, that was picking up the phone was obviously miserable. Didnt let me finish my question before transferring & hanging up. Everytime I called back afterwards- it was followed by hang-ups. Might want to reconsider a position in customer service because you are making Walmart look like a joke

2022-01-16Almost always out of what I need. Converting more lines to self service yet blocking them so many cant be accessed, very frustrating. However, it is one of the nicer walmarts, has good deals, and pharmacy is always on point.
