Best Walmart of which I know. Staff always super friendly; and even when busy, lines are fast. Staff competent when asked questions, and food always fresh. High tech electronics section. The auto section is small but effective for necessary needs. Could use some regularity in ordering for the mens amenities section. Camping section is the bees knees at this store for some reason. I like it.
Awful, bought a $50 gift card for my son, cost me 54.99. When he tried to use it, they said it was invalid. Brought my receipt and proof of purchase to customer service, they said they couldnt do anything. They said I had to go through Green dot Corp which is the bank that handles Walmart gift cards. After months of getting the run around, they never did ANYTHING to resolve it. Very very dishonest business practice on the part of the Antioch Illinois Walmart.
I would give zero stars DO NOT BUY A CAR BATTERY HERE!!!!!! My husband bought an Ever Start Maxx in November, by January it would not hold a charge through the night. Comes with a 3 year replacement warranty (which they DO NOT HONOR!). When my husband brought it in they charged it up and said its good to go. The next day the car was dead. Point being the battery would not hold a charge. Called Ever Start...Walmart owns Ever Start. They refused to give us a replacement battery. Very poor business practice. If a battery doesnt hold a charge it should be replaced!
Conveniently located, with easy access from nearby roads.Employees very helpful; one even offered to help me get a treadmill home as I dont own a truck.I found that the grocery section is favorably comparable to the big grocery chains... maybe not the same wide selection of produce and bakery items.One drawback as with any big-box store... you can end up looking at so many ancillary items that you take significantly more time shopping than expected. Put on your blinders !
Hasnt been open 24 hours a day since covid which makes sense but it needs to go back to 24 hours even if it has just self checkout. working second shift makes it hard to get parishables outside of the weekend. if they arnt open 24 hours it leaves little incentive to shop here when you can get better selection and prices elsewhere during the same business hours.
If I could give zero stars I would! Everytime I shop here I am followed, asked numerous times if I need help, watched from afar, etc. Especially in self checkout, so many times I have encountered short older Hispanic woman named Maria, she is THE WORST. She constantly comes to my register, reminds me to scan something like I forgot 🙄 only does this to me or other people of color. I will no longer shop here and just wanted to leave a review of anyone still reads them. You will be racially profiled if youre of color.
I don’t prefer this location. They never have anything generic stocked so you’re forced to buy premium brands at premium prices. Also the normal clientele like to walk right on your back and rush you along throughout the entire store rather than saying excuse me. Same goes for the employees, they have places to be and you’re just an obstacle in the way.
Closed early for no reason. Auto center closed at 3 pm while it says online open til 6 pm Talk with manager they said its from people calling in sick. I walked in and there were over 3 employees in automotive 6 in homewares, and a dozen more elsewhere They just closed because they dont want to service cars that are wet
Store was clean, well stocked. A few holes on the shelves (probably due to supply chain issues). Seems to be enough employees. Self checkout a breeze. The stuff I needed was 99% in stock. Garden and outdoor stuff took 2 lanes of close proximity parking, while unused space remains empty??!!? Go figure?
Did curbside pickup and so far I have been waiting 2 hrs for my food. First I get a text that its delayed. Hour later its ready for pick up. I arrive at 515pm only to find out that all nine parking spots for pickup are filled and there are ten cars in line waiting for spots. I get a spot , call in and give my name. Twice more employees came up to ask my name. Each time they say, your order is ready and will be out asap. Now an hour later the guy shows with my food and pulls out his tablet only to find that its dead. Id love to cut the slack because if the cold and everyone is under staffed, but the disorganization is atrocious. They have a lot of work ahead of them to make this system work.
Pickup took over an hour. Got alert they were ready at 905am (pick up set 9 to 10am). Check in 0910am. Recieved at 1016am. Phone number posted on all the signs does not work. Number doesnt exist. When i called and told customer service they had no idea it didnt work. Like i was the first one to tell them that Last time ill pickup.
L-O-N-G wait for curbside pickup. I waited over an hour and 15 minutes to get my other brought out. Meanwhile multiple other customers came after me and went with their curbside orders. There were a dozen cars lined up to get a spot to wait for their orders when I finally left
Bought plants, clothing, and groceries in one stop. Clean store and pleasant employees. I actually had customers in checkout line in front of me insist I go ahead of them because I had less items. It was a very nice shopping experience. The restroom was clean and stocked as well. I will definitely be shopping there again!
I got my initial 2 covid vax shots at this store with no problems in May. Now after calling and asking if walk-ins are available for 5-11 yr olds, I was told that the last appt was 640pm which was already taken. If I wanted to get a walk-in appt/vax that I should come in then. Well lo and behold, when I do show up at that time to get my 2 youngest in for vax shots, Im told that they are still booked up? And that they wont take anyone after that time tho there was no one in line waiting or anything? This of course follows their message on their answering service that specifies that walk-ins are welcome.What a crock and honestly a bunch of liars. And when I did make that point to the staff there at 640pm about walk-ins, they pushed it off by saying, well that person who said that is off already for today.Not a store I plan on ever going to again.
Their arcade has 6 claw machines and a racing game that doesnt work. There is nothing fun for you kids to do. No Mortal Kombat. No Time Crisis. Not even Centipede! Be prepared to wait in their long lines while your children cry instead of shooting aliens or beating up kung fu masters.
I was having such bad day before I came into the store. I went in to get some last minute items. I was really stressed and I couldn’t find a specific item. A young man that goes by the name “Roman” asked if I needed help. I could clearly see He was already in a rush but he helped me out a lot! Good employees !! Definitely will be coming back here again!
I always make sure to hit their clearance section (just before auto repair counter). This last visit was exceptionally rewarding. Plus, as the employee was helping me find new wiper blades, she let me know that after I check out I can pull up to the garage and they will install them free of charge.Not only did she come to install them within seconds, a fellow employee followed and I was good to go in just a couple minutes 🙏✌️
My husband and I scheduled our grocery pickup for between 7-8 pm and he got there at 8:05pm and tried to check in for 10 minutes with no response. He went inside only to be told by multiple Walmart employees that EVERYONE from grocery pickup team had gone home and nobody could help us....nobody to explain if we would get our groceries tomorrow? Get a refund? Never get them and never get our money back? All because we were 5 minutes late. It should probably be made aware to pickup customers that if you are late to the last time slot of the day you will simply not get your groceries and not get any kind of meaningful response or help from employees. 👎
As most Walmarts are closely similar across the board this one is the first Ive been to that has a $50 limit on returns!! Forget that we bought $100 speakers we werent happy with, they had no problem taking our cash and I arrived with receipt in hand within the 90 days on electronics and an ID.. we were not given any options of store credit!! As I continue my shopping, an item was priced wrong, instead of correcting it or honoring their mistake, the employee decided it was her position to ostracize me instead, Ill just say it was on the line of accusing!! My opinion is there are too many different Walmarts to deal with frustrating situations! There are already so many different things that we deal with especially while shopping at Walmarts stores, choose to control what you will and wont put up with, next time Ill go 10 minutes further to spend my money!!
Actually went to the Tire & Lube to get my tires looked at on my truck. Really awesome man named Jason was able to check my pressure .. which was off.. & did check my sensors. That I sure didnt expect. But since I live locally now & not out of state, this man saved me from spending money just yet on a rim or tire that might not be needed.Thank you Jason for Automotive Service Excellence
Pickup is awful. They are always unavailable on the most basic needs like milk or bread but you go into the store and the shelves are stacked. They must only have one person loading vehicles now. This place has gone way down hill recently. I live less than a mile away and am now going 15 mins away to go to Meijer instead
Walmart has good prices but the curbside pickup leaves something to be desired. Ive waited almost a half an hour for my items to come out before. Also, items that should be in stock in the store have been left out of my order. I have to wonder if the item was really not there or if someone just didnt feel like picking it.
This could be a decent enough store, but the order pick up system is a mess. Cant check in on the app, so I go inside and theres no pick up desk, just a kiosk thats out of order, which you then have to call and wait for someone to bring your order. Just confusing and inconvenient. Bestbuy, for example, handles this so much better.
Gotta say, I continue to be impressed with our local wal-mart. They handle the long line for grocery pick up swiftly and the line goes fast. They continue to sanitize the shopping carts before they even go into the store even with our snowy weather- just saw the young person with the spray bottle- and they continue to keep the store clean.Thank you to the general manager of this location and his team of hard workers
Pharmacy has curbside services and I called no answer so I go inside to fine 9 people in line and 4 or 5 employees behind counter and not one attending to a customer with even a greeting or be with you soon. So I go back out to car in the curbside parking area and another car is nextdoor in a spot I asked did you get an answer, he says yes, so I call again, omg guess what, NO ANSWER 🤬
Ive been to other Walmart stores and I think we have the best one in lil ole Antioch IL! One thing I know for sure is we have the absolute best Pharmacy! The people who work behind the counter are amazing, every single time I need to pick up a prescription. Thanks Walmart for being so awesome sauce!!
Walmart is Walmart. They are going to open as few registers as they can get away with. Was there last Friday at 5pm and they had ONE register open. So of course I had to open my mouth at Customer Service and help out my fellow shoppers. One open register at ANY time of the day is unacceptable. Theyve already trained people to check themselves out and bag their own groceries. Now its normal procedure. People, time to speak up and say enuff already. Wont be long b4 were slicing our own lunch meat and washing their floors. Just Say No!
Wheres the zero star selection? Austin, Morgan Ward and Kendra all dropped the ball on holding my kayaks for me and accept no accountability! What has happened to customer service? This place has none! Take your business some place else. Employees at Walmart just dont care!
Im sick and tired of only one register being open. I am not an employee. I also just had shoulder surgery. I am not checking out my own groceries at self checkout. OPEN MORE REGISTERS!!! Sick of spending 5 minutes getting my stuff and waiting in line for 20 minutes or longer. 😡😡😡
I always go to this walmart, despite living in kenosha, wi!Shout out to Maria, one of the greeters who also works the self check out lane, shes absolutely wonderful and had a 5 minute conversation with my 4 year old!Great staff, great prices, always nice, clean and re stocked
Disgusting how they expect people to check themselves out and bag their own items. Your NOT paying me to work there, why should I do it for free.Every time Ive been there, and theres been no manned registers Ive just left my cart and walked out.Theres other grocery stores in town, not as cheap but spending a couple more dollars per hundred spent aint gonna hurt.
Havent been to this Walmart in quite sometime, was nice and clean.All workers were following the Covid Pandemic Guidelines and cleaning the check out after each person left.Had a few things to get, found what I was looking for....Good selection of product n items.Thank you!!
Always clean and very nice folks. Update: came on Saturday to best a battery and my right test tire find. One tech called in sick and couldnt take me although I was first one in. Spoke with Kathleen the manager and she got me taken care of. Great customer service! But the tire was the wrong one! They are giving me another tire and all is goodI truly wouldnt go any where else. They really took care of me! Thanks to Jason the service manager!
Went there for some fusible material wind up waiting for someone to show up to the fabrics department after asking twice two different departments to call and get somebody down to the fabric department it still took them 15 almost 20 minutes before we got service definitely will not be back to walmart for anything in the near future
Very disappointed in this Walmart delivery service. They have messed up twice in a row now on orders that were over $150. I get the wrong persons order or not even half the items I order. They then dont contact me back at all to help resolve the problem just offer a refund on the items once I waste over an hour proving that I didnt get the stuff. Then I have to either actually go shopping now or reorder the items all just to pay a delivery driver again and lose more money to get the wrong stuff yet again. Such a joke.
I have had absolute terrible customer service with this Walmart numerous times. You have to call the place multiple times until a phone is actually picked up and when done every time the enthusiasm is absolutely terrible and it ruins my day. I then bounce from departpartment to department trying to get a hold of a manager or somebody to assist me but that is never the case as if the manager doesn’t exist.
I went to the vision center. Talk about a covid fortress. Very clean. Very effective. They take ppe and distancing critically serious. The staff was friendly enough. Im not very picky, but if someone were, they may find themselves there for a long time due to all the covid precautions. I had my appointment (Dr. Was excellent) chose my glasses and was happy with my experience. The Walmart is not really busy all the time, so it was a perfect place for that.
AVOID THIS STORE!! Avoid pickup at this store. Just waited over an hour to get my stuff. Slowest moving people on the planet. Called the number in the lot and the kid who answered says he doesnt know how to transfer a call. Call main number and the person who answered sounded drunk. Ask for the manager and she says we have lots of managers. then hangs up on me. Call back and get connected to a manager and after telling her I been in the pickup lot for over an hour she askes me if Im joking. Like I have nothing better to do than call and tell her jokes. Well maybe I didnt cause I sat in the pickup lot for over an hour staring at a brick wall! Worst store ever.
Never had a problem here until my last visit when it was very slippery out and I have a disabled child so when I pulled my car up for my child a lady started yelling at me and banging on my window. It was extremely rude considering there were 3 other vehicles doing the same thing.
Auto Care Center at Walmart sometimes has lazy mechanics that lie on their work order to get your car out of there and skip the work because they get paid either way.Which mind you, to be fair, that is better than pretending they did the work and charging you for it, but where do you draw the line?How many people wasted their time and got screwed? To make matters worse, they cover each others lies and cover for one another, including the manager Cathleen Faller (I may have spelled the name wrong).
This place is very convenient and inconvenient at the same time especially when its really the only big store in this town but over the years they have fallen short on the customer experience and satisfaction.... and the fact that they have literally nothing on their shelves half the time!! they are very low on stock they dont care to stock their shelves unlike other places. the Walmart in the Round Lake/Lake Villa area always has full shelves but the one in Antioch, you can go there for something and they just dont have it . its very frustrating!!! Also you would think that Walmart would be the cheapest for majority of their product but they arent at all Ive actually found way more savings at the Jewel-Osco especially if you download their app and clip the coupons you save so much more money than if you shopped at Walmart, they dont have perks like that
Lots of clothing to chose from, but sometimes not good size selection. For example, 6 of the same shirt all size M and no others. Should buy it when you see it or it will be gone next time. This store is not close to home so dont get to shop here as often as I would like. Huge ! so for an older person like me, it gets tiring doing so much walking!
So done with this store. Evey time I order pick up everyone gets their orders delivered twice before mine. I dont know if its alphabetical or what but come one. Last time it was 25 mins. I was late to return to work and not even an apply. I expect a response from management. I have yet to have a good experience. Get your act together or shut it down.
Its a Walmart right? You think you know what to expect in a chain store but not here here. No one wants to help you. I waited over 20 minutes for assistance along with 2 other customers and had them page twice over-head and even called for a manager. And nobody ever bothered to show up Apparently they dont care at this Walmart poorly stocked dont care if they lose a customer so therefore they have hust lost at least 1. Never again!!!
My review has nothing to do with the employees at Walmart. There S/B someone at the door enforcing everyone wearing masks. I think Walmart makes enough money to afford this Everyone in the store had masks on except the extremely fat man in front of me in line & the couple behind me. They all had masks, but took them off while waiting in line. The couple also didnt follow the 6 ft. rule. I should have just left my cart right where it was!!! I will not go back to Walmart!!!! Go to the Walmart in Lake Geneva, NOT Antioch. They seem to monitor more. Sad, cause IL requires masks & WI does not People are so rude!!!
I always like coming to Walmart. The other day I tried there grocery pick up. It was convenient for the schedule I had that day but I dont think Ill do it again. Some of the produce I got was way over ripe, to the point of starting to rot the next day, which I had to throw out without using. From now on Im going into the store and doing my own shopping when it comes to fresh produce.
I was trying to make a dog tag for my brother that wants to go into the military when he turns 18 and I was working on getting one that says everything that the military ones do and the cashier Randi came over and told us to buy something or leave! Stop messing around! me and my friends and family are never coming here again she was very rude and Im always respectful to everyone but at that point I couldnt even turn to face her. rudest lady ever.
We have been doing Online pick up For groceries for awhile now. Most of the time it hasn’t been bad but today was kind of ridiculous. We waited for almost an hour after checking in the app to get the groceries. We could’ve waited longer if it weren’t for my wife asking a staff member about our Order and why 3 cars got theirs quicker than we did even tho we were there before hand and didn’t have as many items as they did. After all that we made a quick stop inside to pick up other things we thought off last minute and what do you know, we found acouple of items that were canceled because they were “out of stock” like the oranges and butter lol
I went to place a order in the bakery with a 26 hours notice as they do require a 24 hour notice BUT the girl was rude and refused to take my order and kept making up excuses. She said A there isn’t enough time and I told her it’s more then 24 hours then she said B we have to many orders and I looked at her like seriously then she said she didn’t have any more cakes and I told her I only need 6 cup cakes and still said no we can’t take the order. I’ve been to other Walmart’s to make a special order and even w a 20hour notice they have done it and on a holiday.
I was in their last night hopping someone could help me with a question. Cashier was vary rude about something she didnt know for sure. She complained about that it was her time to go. Manager finally showed up and she wasnt all that pleasant herself. I have worked in customer care for years. If its your time to leave and there is no one to take your place yet, and there is someone who needs help right in front of you, you answer how can I help you? Whats a few mins? Would of changed my whole experience with a night that was already going horribly wrong. People need to take pride in there job no matter what you do.
A better Wal-Mart then youll find east of here. Late night shopping was quick and easy thanks to a proper number of cashiers being staffed. Lots of wild young adults for 8 p.m. on a Sunday night but with weed being legal now you got to expect it. Theyre not doing doing any more harm than making a mess, and theyre an example to my seven-year-old how adults should not act.
The worst Walmart!! Always UN-stocked!! Shelves are most times bare. I’m a short and they don’t tend to shelves much because you can’t reach a lot of stuff because it’s way behind and high. I’ve had to help elderly and handicapped grab stuff often. Terrible supervisors who work the front. Snobby and unfriendly. Don’t even bother asking for help with anything most of the workers are lazy and will give the lazy answer “oh we don’t have it” but just don’t want to go look. Terrible store!!!
Came on a Friday after work on my way home. Figured it would be busy. Wasnt bad at all. Thats usually my biggest complaint. Also, there are a lot of shopping cart areas in the parking lot. Dont have to go far to put yours up. Store is clean and staff is friendly. This is a good Walmart.
I had two really bad experiences at walmart. The employees stocking would not move their carts I could not get by I dont think they cared that I was trying to shop.and today at about 9am on 2/1/20 the lady at the self check out near donkin donuts was completely rude and didnt seem to care about the job that she was doing
I was having an issue with the battery for my lawn mower. Dennis in Automotive helped me! He was super nice and did not make me feel like a dumb woman , as many men in automotive often do. I wish all employees were as nice, professional and helpful as he was. I was very surprised to hear he was not the Manager of this Department. Time for a promotion for Dennis, he is awesome and has amazing customer service!!
Its Walmart, expectations should be low...like their wages. Store is pretty clean and well stocked. The crowd isnt awful. I feel like all the employees stand around complaining about their jobs to one another. Ive noticed that multiple times. Never any baskets up front.
Since covid has started Im not really fond of going to Walmart anymore its like no one even realizes were supposed to social distance from each other and theres no one there to enforce it. I do have to say Walmart is my place to go if I need something and I cant find it any place else cuz they have pretty much everything
Was hoping for more options for protein shakes after a long workout. Was searching for the Core Power, only found the 18g Protein one, which is fine, but was hoping for some of their other options. Was pleasantly surprised when finding out they now sell Gold Standard Protein from ON, as well as the protein Cakes, such as Birthday Cake and Donut! Amazing discovery!
Good selection of most items, both merchandise and the food section. I would expect that from being a Supercenter. Check out lines are usually poorly manned, meaning there are never enough checkers. The self-check outs, consistently do not have correct SKUs in their system, so I always have to wait for a staff member to come over and override. Customer service line is usually slow, as there is usually only one person there. Returns, while easy with a receipt, can be painful because of the added wait time.
The Antioch Walmart is slightly different then the Burlington & Racine Walmarts. Ive found that all chain stores carry the same items or floor plans set up the same. But one of the day managers there absolutely needs to be cloned. Wish I could remember her name tag. FANTASTIC customer care I received from her in Sept.& Oct 2019.
I went in and asked a CS rep about the car seat trade in, said she didnt know then just stood there. I asked if she could ask someone who did. She sat there with a smug smile on her face until an older women who was clearly irritated came over. I had the same conversation with her because It must not occur to them that in order to get the coupon you have to physically give them your car seat. Then youd have to wait, without one, to order a new one. This is completely unrealistic so I asked if they would be able to order the seat I wanted and then once it arrived, trade in and buy it. She literally looked at me like I was an alien and said no, thats not how it works. You have to buy the item online first. Um, fyi Walmart, many stores will do this including Kohls and Target. So I told her thats fine, I guess Ill go to Target, Im sure theyll be happy to work with me. She said Ok then! And walked away. I was so irritated that guess what? Im a long time Antioch local with a family of 5, we easily spend $200 a week there bc its convenient, but between Jewel, Aldi, Pig and Amazon, I will not be shopping there again. Ill gladly drive the 15 minutes as well to the Gurnee Target for things like clothing, and household items. This isnt my first negative experience with a worker from there and I cant even tell you how happily Ill spend my money elsewhere 👍
I shop there a lot. I too have a problem with not finding help.. Prices not marked, Sale item on carts in mid aisles.. in case of a fire, would certainly be horrible. I use a power scooter and the aisles are too narrow in clothing sections to get through.. I truly believe the managers reflect upon the stores. You can see that immediately upon entering. If I enter a well managed store I compliment the mgr. Thank you and drop a note to Corp.office :-)
Meat and produce are outrageously expensive considering the chains buying power and the quality. And, despite the giant signs declaring their support for the American worker, most of the checkout lines are self check. I guess they support the American worker just as long as they dont work for Walmart.
I went into the pharmacy area and went to do my blood pressure. Instead of telling me my blood pressure it read my horoscope. As an Aries I was hoping it would tell me I had good vibes and that I will live a peaceful and prosperous life. Instead it told me I had had Stage 2 hypertension and that I dress like a gay guy! I’m never coming back to this place.
This will be the fourth time I have tried to use the pick up services. Every time I come I am left to sit for over and hour. I come in the middle of the day during the week. I call the number check in and watch people come and go to other cars. I know the reason is because my wife makes the order and I pick it up so it shows her never being there. This last time knowing thi, I called and told them the exact story. Still nope sat for and hour. My recommendation is to get some one to watch these kids. They have no clue what they are doing. Supervise or just hedge your bets and shut it down, cause you are not good at this pick up services. Ill be using Peapod from now on way better for now at least.
Went to get an oil change today, the Manager Mark said 2 hours until the car would be done. So I walked around Walmart, did my grocery shopping and came back 2 hours later. Mark said the car wasnt in the garage yet and that he ment it would take them 2 hours to do the oil change once it was in the garage and they started working on it. Mind you there was only one car in the garage before me. At this point I had all my groceries and couldnt wait 2 hours with the chicken and icecream in my cart. I went to the service center in the front, returned all my items and left with out an oil change. Worst service I have ever had and will never go back. Went to Express Care right next to Walmart and it took them 20 mins to do an oil change and I was done.Walmart management needs to handle the issues that are going on in the automotive department or they well lose more and more busy.
Took away too many handicap parking, due to the fact you can only go in and out one entrance. All the handicap parking on the other side is too far for me to walk. Only go there now for a few things I cant get anywhere else. If there are no handicap parking spaces on the one side, and cant find a space close enough I cant ship there.
Went in there around 12:30AM was immediately profiled and harassed by a member of management. We were followed around the whole store given we were being a little loud but what do you expect from a couple of teenage kids. We were then asked to leave. I’m sorry your employees have no personality and can’t tolerate customers.
This is the worst Walmart I ever been to.. they are very racist, they turn their nose up at every African American .. the store always sell old/rotten food, in the customer service department kim and Kathleen (the superviser) was very rude couldn’t prove to me their policies on cashing checks and refused to cash my check because they didn’t know how to do certain things in the system I highly recommend not to spend a $1 in that place!
Its Memorial Day 2018. I go in at 630am to do my shopping before the hoards of rude vacationers come through my hometown Wal-Mart. I go to check out and there are ZERO, I repeat, ZERO CASHIER LANES open. The only thing open is self check, with one cashier watching, and I have a cart full of stuff. So I reluctantly go to self check. Well since theres not a lot of space, I had to skip bagging and such on the drinks I bought. I was at the closest one to the cashier station and she watched me ring my groceries. She then asks if I rang everything up and was extremely rude about it. I said yes, check everything. So she checks the receipt like I was trying to steal my groceries. Mind you she watched me ring them. I went to leave, and I heard her mumble under her breath stupid white girl. Bottom line, this location needs to hire more people, and people who are actually willing to work holidays. Having no cashiers after 6 is ridiculous, and the one that was there doesnt know how to deal with people.
Its a Walmart guys. They are all the same. Only reason I gave three starts is there was only one person in customer service. There were 5 or 6 cashiers and 2 managers 20 feet away and there was 7 people in line at customer service waiting in one cashier. Same old stuff as all the rest bust come on guys
I was very excited to try out the new grocery pickup service at Walmart, as my sister has used the Kenosha location and raves about it. I placed my order late last night, and received an email this morning saying my order was ready. So Easy and I was really excited. I only work a few minutes away, so i checked in at 11:45 this morning and headed up there. It was great at first, everything was clearly marked as i entered the parking lot, and I parked in the grocery pickup parking area. There is where I started to have troubles. It had signs saying to call a number, but without further instructions, and like i said, my sister said she pulled up and they would walk out with her groceries so i wasnt sure what i was missing. I ended up second guessing myself and going into the store to the service desk. After waiting in line for a few seconds, the woman at the counter told me to go back out to my car and she would have someone bring me my groceries. She said i was supposed to call the number on the sign and they would have brought them to me without having to come in. I felt foolish, and she began paging over the intercom for grocery pickup, i could hear her, so I walked back out to my car and waited. No one came out. I called the number as she had instructed, and a man who refused to give me his name answered, and proceeded to tell me he didnt have the order ready, and did i get an email confirming. I said yes, this morning, and I already checked in. He said I should have checked in on my way and he would have had them ready. I had done that, and told him again, I had checked in at 11:45 am and was now being tracked by the Walmart App. He THEN said he didnt have an order for me, and I questioned why that would be when he just told me i should have checked in to have it ready. THEN he said I would have to come into the store and go to the back at the PHOTO desk in order to pick up my order. At that point, my lunch was nearly over, and I had to return to work. I asked him to cancel my order, and instead he put me on hold, after I asked him three times for his name. I headed back to work, and got a phone call on the way home, from Wamart, saying they were told I now want to cancel my order, and they couldnt at their end, and that I would have to go online to do so.I will NEVER use this app again, and I must say, I was really excited by the convenience. WAit to use this until they get the kinks out, i wasted time and money trying to save time and money.
I honestly prefer to do my shopping from Walmart on-line mainly because of the terrible service at the Antioch location. Any time I have requested asst in any given dept I have had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for someone often having to make a second request only to end up with someone rude or with no knowledge of that dept and on more than one occasion even the manager has been extremely rude.
As a customer who comes to this store 3-4 times a week for about 2 years now, since moving to the area- I need to share the experience I had at this Walmart today.I was in isle 9 at about 330-4pm today, there were 2 ladies in front of me, as I waited my turn minding my business, the First Lady finished up and the next lady (in front of me) went next. The lady in front of me was speaking negatively TO THE CASHIER about the previous customer in front of her, and EVEN made a comment about how “ she must of been on drugs, and those kinds of people with the link card-( that she pays for), feel entitled” THE CASHIER SAID “yea they do”!I was so taken back by what I was hearing, so disgusted and so FED UP with the insensitivity people have now in days- to say whatever they want with no regards to who is around them! But then do not expect a reaction???!!! NO! I told the cashier of WALMART IN ANTIOCH, she should not be agreeing with what was being said, as an employee! Walmart is a huge company who gets many different kinds of people, of different races, different income brackets in and out of their store every day! If she did not want to ring up “those kinds of people”-(as the ignorant lady said it)THEN SHE SHOULD NOT BE AN EMPLOYEE OF WALMART!!!!When I said that to the walmart cashier lady (NOT THE IGNORANT LADY THAT SPOKE THOSE WORDS) - then the ignorant lady wants to speak her ignorant words to me! She stated “well you must be offended because, you must have a link card”- as IF IT WAS HER BUISSNESS??!!! NO! She critized my body size and even got in my FACE (for at least 1-2mins) AND POINTED HER FINGERS IN MY FACE! Allllll of this is going on without the cashier calling for help/management once! SMH! There was no sense to deescalate the situation that was going on between us at all!!!! I felt UNSAFE as a customer in walmart!!!! I felt UNPROTECTED!!!! Because I could see I was dealing with an ignorant lady who just wanted to TRY AND provoke me! I stepped away from her being in my face- and she CONTINUED to stand there and watch me finish ringing up my groceries! and before I was done I asked the CASHIER, are you going to say anything to her? ARE YOU GOING TO TELL HER TO MOVE??? I was told “no she can stand there if she wanted to” mind you after all this just happened IM EXPECTED TO WALK PAST THIS LADY SINCE SHE DECIDED TO CONT. HER IGNORANCE AND STAND AND WATCH ME! Not ONCE DID THE WALMART EMPLOYEE TRY TO DEESCALATE OR CALL A MANAGER! Not once.The ignorant lady threatened to call the cops ON ME because I told her to shut the F up-AFTER ALLLLL SHE HAD SAID and criticized my size! SHE WAS CALLING THE COPS ON ME- lol. I told her to call the cops, but I guess she KNEW HER OWN IGNORANCE!- Because the cops were not called! Nothing was done!I am writing this because walmart did not handle the situation properly! This is a situation that could of escalated IF I DID NOT STEP AWAY! There was no sense of care or urgency to the situation from this walmart employee! not only do I not feel that its NOT okay for an employee of a WALMART to get away with agreeing to such words being spoken, but also her lack of care to deescalte this type of situation!!!! I DEESCALATED THE SITUATION, WHEN I HAD EVERY REASON NOT TO DO SO with this lady in MY FACE POINTING HER FINGER!!!!It’s all on camera somewhere!!!
The worst service I’ve ever gotten from any Walmart in Illinois. The customer service was very rude to me along with the supervisor and they refused to help me at the counter. All of the associates give my family and I rude looks when we come in because of our skin color and I will never step foot into this store again!
Ok! So Im so pissed!!! I came to Walmart on route 173 to pick up my prescription and few food items. I walked up to the cashier and he started to bag my items, but before he opened the bags he licked his finger to moisten the bag so it would open easier. Now tell me people would you take these groceries home? I couldnt so I went to customer service to returned everything I spend and hour picking up. I complained to the manager who was at the customer service desk and she looked at the employee who I was complaining about and said you are right I see him doing it now. She offered to have someone run and grab the items I had in my cart which took another 45 minutes. lets see who will touch these bags. I know for sure it will not be me.
Everyone is always quick to bash Wal-Mart. I really dont understand why people are mad at a company for being successful. Oh well...this place always has what I need for a very reasonable prices. Now I say prices because I always most of the time will have a few products to pick from.
Ok, if you want to have your mind blown, visit the Walmart Supercentet in Antioch, IL. I entered the store and walked to their automotive section, whereupon, a young man approached me and asked if he could help me find something...WHAT?!?!?!?!...I had to pinch myself to make sure I was awake. I actually said to the young man, youre kidding me, right?, I actually asked him, This is Wal-Mart, right?, and he said, Im just doing what Im supposed to do. Im supposed to help our customers find what theyre looking for. I was stunned by it because I have never been approached by a Wal-Mart employee, ever! He actually helped me find what I was looking for. Then as we walked towards the check out aisle, a lady from the pharmacy came out from behind her counter and said, sir, here are some wipes for your glasses and this is my card. If you ever need any help with anything, please call me. I thought I was imagining things! And last, but not least, the young lady at the register was so pleasant that I almost laughed. This has to be the best Wal-Mart in the WORLD! Period, end sentence!!!

2022-05-26I went to Walmart to get 2 tires fixed. I went there early so I got out in good time. The mechanic fixed my tires and the tire light went out on the dash. The customer care service was great. The bill was much less than I anticipated. I will be going there for all my car needs.

2022-03-12I really wanted to give this Walmart a higher rating. Its really big, typically well organized and stocked.... but the grocery pick up and the stores overall customer service, especially as it relates to purchases, leaves so much to be desired. This is just 1 of 3 Walmarts all within less than 3 miles of my home. The other 2 tend to be constantly missing products, dirty, long check out lines and more. So this 1 is a nice relief. But then I go for grocery pickup. EVERY TIME, its more hassle than its worth. Items missing, sitting there for the longest time waiting and waiting,I use the app to expedite my pickup and they dont bother to use the info on their end. Ive watched 1 person run around while others disappear or just stand there. Ive had bread smashed and other items crushed by sloppy bagging and loading into my trunk. Then when Ive called in the past to speak to an associate, nobody answers the phone. This is not just once, its every single time. So 1 time I left a review and comment, asked for someone to reach out. Well an associate did, but it was more for her to make excuses about why items were changed without notice, why I was waiting for over an hour before anyone even came and talked to me, and no real accountability.I get it, Walmart is less expensive and has more product to offer than target or aldi right across the street, but more and more I find myself avoiding Walmart even if the competition is more expensive or has less variety, just to avoid the poor customer service and arrogance of Walmart.

2022-04-26BEWARE ELDERLY LADY IN TIRE/LUBE CENTER!Called in to have my tires changed, set up an appointment with a nice young man. Very polite, and thorough with his questioning (including tire size, age, etc. as I was bringing in tires for them to swap). When I arrived after driving 45 minutes to get there, a completely different person than who I talked to (probably late 50s Caucasian woman), who refused to give her name after the altercation, refused to mount my tires on account of age, which wasnt any problem on the phone! She gave no further reasoning, handed my keys back, then ignored me to talk with the next customer.While I was waiting in line, she was extremely rude to another elderly lady who came in with questions about how to check the level of her oil! She just wanted advice, yet the employee was condescending, curt, and all-around unpleasant. Good help must be really hard to find if shes still on staff...

2022-06-18Your grocery pickup experience has changed dramatically in the last 6 months. Was just there tonight and Drew showed exceptional effort. Willingly picking up trash on his way back in. As a former manager I applaud his basic efforts to keep his environment clean. Taylor might be one of the hardest workers Ive seen in any industry. Her hustle is amazing and she is always organized and on the ball. Love picking up orders from this store.

2022-03-08All in all, not a bad Walmart. Never too crowded, the store is fairly clean, and the shelves are as well stocked as anywhere else. I’ll continue to go there.
