I go to Walgreens all the time, we have been for years. Most of the employees are very nice and are helpful. Theres not really a time I can remember that they didnt have what I needed. They always have good deals on everything too. Thanks walgreens and especially for being 24hrs
I happen the take a medicine in which if I dont take will put me in withdrawal and possibly stop my heart. I was out of my meds and my doctor finally sent my script to them, only to have the pharmacist call and have my script cancelled from my doctor. This is absolutely wrong and I strongly believe the pharmacist should be fired for confusing my doctors office and putting my health at risk. This place is a joke. They are always trying to screw you over somehow. A shame, especially during a Pandemic.
This is a great Walgreens, (I used to go to the one in South Elgin, but would have to wait a half hour just to drop off, then another half hour to pick up. The drive through lines there take for ever.) This one is less crowded and open 24 hours! The Pharmacist is a very nice guy and has given me some great advice.
Just called the Elgin Walgreens on Larkin. First of all, they are open 24/7 which is amazing. I needed to check availability for a prescription; they had the prescription but in a different dosage. Andy searched all over the area checking to see if any other Walgreens had the dosage I needed. Then he offered to call them for me to make sure they had enough on hand. Wow - he saved me so much time. That kind of customer service is rare. Thanks Andy!
I just called and the pharmacist there was very nice! I sometimes have issues with Walgreens and have considered switching, but the Larkin one may have won my business longer. I usually go to Huntley and they have been great lately as well!
Went to this pharmacy to fill my sons prescriptions, one of the prescriptions had 1 refill. When we got home the prescription that had 1 refill stated on the package no refills. Tried calling them to get it corrected and kept getting hung up on and also told there were no refills. I then called the doctors office and yes on the paper prescription that he gave us there was 1 refill for that prescription. So now the doctor has to call them. Hopefully he can get somewhere with them. Maybe that pharmacy is trying to steal peoples prescriptions. I will never go back there again.
Pharmacy used to be competent, now theyre a mess, and forget to even fill scripts. Cant wait for Amazon to decimate this pathetic companies stock. This is unacceptable, understaffing to cut costs at the expense of peoples health.
Ive been getting my prescriptions here for over 20 years for a serious medical condition. I had an RX delayed, so I called to see when it would be able to be picked up. Ive called to ask this in the past, and always got professional, polite answers. A rep named Stephanie answered the phone @ 4:23pm and made them lose a long time customer. Was being purposefully vague in her answer, and when I tried asking if I could get more information if I called in the morning, she cut me off mud sentence with the reply maam as I stated ALREADY it will go through eventually,and WE will call YOU. I work in customer service, and this I would be reprimanded for saying this to a customer unprovoked. Ill be taking my long time business elsewhere. Sorry for making you do your job Stephanie.
The pharmacy sometimes messes with my prescriptions. What I mean is that more than once my quantity was changed. For example I am on a med that was 60 days with a 3 month supply than that changed it to a 30 with 1 refill. I am on a med that should have said 90 days with 2 refils left. Than with 2 of my other med I was given a 90 days with 4 refils and with in the past 2 months it was changed to a 30 days with 1 refill and the other was changed the following month as the same but with 2 refill. The first med was was able to catch on time and fix but these other 2 I have to fix with the information that I have to show proof that it was walgreens mistake because I dint have the origional information anymore. I was told more than once it was a mistake from one of the woman cashier. These are Tue med I need to take and I have no time to run around trying to get my med fixed and get them after I run out. It is one thing making a mistake the first time. But a second time is not a mistake with med that is important to a patient who needs to rely on these meds. So my suggestion to all of you who has meds that you need to rely on for your health. Take the bottle with you that would show the quantity and the amount of refils and match it up with the bottle that is empty and to make sure that the new script matches up with the bottle - the refill you just received. So this way you will go through what I had to go through. Other than the so called mistakes they made with my med Walgreens is not so bad. Nice people who can help you when you need it.
Store manager was told by customer service he could help with a return for store credit he flat out refused. I understand its the managers discresion but to flat out lie to customer and say you cant do it or dont have the ability to do something makes me question their integrity. Will not be shopping at that location.
First and foremost, there are a few employees I want to point out that are honest, fair, and all around good people. ( I’m horrible names) forgive me. Four employees/ managers that I wouldLike to say, ( and of course going there since I was 15) always there are those that I see or know there face but have no idea who they or what they there.. see just like in life we come across very rare people, people that may be so blunt that it hurts but people taut are honest that mean well. And take the time to understand, and those people some them if your lucky you’ll meet them at Walgreens. Firstly, ( as I said Horrible with names) the night manager who has just joined us in the United States, I commend him for doing what he doing hardest worker, may not know the ins and out but obv has the potentional to be great. With the help of another manager sometimes works night u have recently met him, he also studied in school- addiction. Right then I knew he had a pure heart and was one of those people that would go out thee way to make sure you have what you need, and underneath him the other onband of night employee ( of course I can’t rembmer names - :( you all know who I am talking about becdue e is the funniest kindest person I have met. He always somehow lol makes a joke even at odd end hours, but he is also kind. He cares to much it seems at times, not onky for himself but for his fellow employees.. he seems he has r had it easy, none of them have. That’s what makes them an amazing dynamic.. at first glance you may be apprehensive for some, but in the end.. they are jut people like you and I. And no ones perfect, yet they strive to be. They strive to just be good people. ( and for the one you know who you are! Live and don’t worry about the trivial little things, some people other employees younger ornodler may be Havkng a hard time right now.. for those I pray for. And for one, I pray for every day that he or she finds faith, faith in anything.. but starts seeing his or her position as not just running around... you hafe the potential to change someone’s life, Costomers want to know who they can’t trusts. I pray you find that, as it deflects the other employees. There is one that brings the team down, and personal level lack of. So of course there like any of us.. we all go to work with all the weight go whatever path wrrre going through, sometimes it’s just nice for people to take a time out as notice.. those four, did. Others one female manger not so much, I pray you find uourpwr and happiness.As for the other I don’t know you prob have helped me a dozen times and thank for that.You fork you know who you are, and for those that are quick to judge he knew nignt manager joining us in the US ( remind yourself: we do what we know right ? And we do is not what he’s used to, it’s part of Him and not his fault, that’s the way he was raised. Diffent life, and we can’t judge that just help him along the way instead of judgment. Imagine if the roles were reversed.See I do believe everyone desrhes a chance, and everyone derrseves a fresh start to be forgiven and to be respected.. and if you open your eyes truly, you will see.Thank you all :) you know who you are.And for those who give bad reviews!! Every time I go through the drive through it takes me 25 minutes before Im helped. I literally just had someone in front of me helped and then the gentleman walked away and I havent seen him in 20 minutes or so... I also had to do this the other night. My medicationson are already done and to wait this long is absolutely ridiculous!
I just called the pharmacy and Ms. Aubry answered and she was so delightful. She was so nice and helpful. Would DEFINITELY want to call back and talk with her again!

Some of the staff are extremely friendly however the regular items are super overpriced. Rather wait and go up to Walmart as much as I hate to say that and get my items there.

2022-03-22Be careful at this location. If you use the pharmacy at this location, make sure you get your information checked and they confirm your address with you. My wife and I were greeted at our house today with our address on someone else’s bottle of medication‘s. Upper Pharmacist Matt Kitsinger was the one who gave out my address, did not confirm it with said other patient and also tried to deny giving his full name when confronted about said situation. Do better, I’m NOT returning to this location.

2022-05-30Ive been sitting at the drive thru for over an hour now, and I still havent been helped. Absolutely ridiculous. Update...80 minutes after arrival and two calls to the store manager who said hed be right there to help (15 minutes ago). Still sitting here without getting any help, and the pharmacist has helped people in several cars who arrived after me. This is insane!!

2021-12-23I recently met George the store manager, and had to tell him how impressed I was with the stores operations. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I shop here usually at night, and have to give a shout out to Gina, Ronnie, and Ryan up front and Andy and Doug in the pharmacy.

2021-12-12I was in a rush to get a birthday card and grabbed the wrong one went to swap out ans they had to go through the whole recipes thing after I was just in there.. so I just forget it and left came right back in with my phone where my receipt. And can u believe the manager said U LEFT KINDA RUDE.. I’m like I’m in a rush.. then I said if u don’t wanna help me I can leave and HE said BTE.. wow they put the wrong person in charge after coming to this Walgreens for 20+ years never will I ever go there again

2022-03-26These people try, but this store is either understaffed or inefficient or both. I have been waiting in a drive through line for over 20 minutes and not a single vehicle has moved. And a line halfway down an aisle in the store at the prescription counter. I’ve never seen anything like it before. Ended up leaving to come back later to pick up a single $6 prescription.Edit: this store keeps getting worse. To be fair, they should probably limit drive-through pickup to people who have prepaid. Getting stuck behind someone who is arguing over insurance and holding up the live happens all the time here.
