Walgreens in other cities:
The worst pharmacy you could imagine. Three employees, only one working both the counter and drive through. Only returned to get the second part of a shingles shot. We arrived fifty minutes before their lunch. Waited until their lunch and then was told to come back afterwards to get the shot. They are extremely slow and have no concept of customer service. Avoid this location at all costs
Store is fine. The Pharmacy on the other hand. Way different pharmacy staff that I am not used to. How they have been treating me since I moved 3.5 years ago is no bueno. I am almost 40 and I would just suggest going to a different Walgreens Pharmacy. It is very busy and they train way too many employees at one time. They treat you like you are stupid. Have a great day.
So this just happened, I rush to the Walgreens by me to pick up my RX after being in pain all day right. I get the antibiotic for the dental procedure and I realize the pain bottle I have is empty too. So I ask her can she fill the ibuprofen. The pharmacy Manager says when is your dental appointment, I say sat, she looks at my profile I tell her I just had two teeth pulled this past sat. And she turns around and says I can put it in for tomorrow. I look at her like it’s 15 mins left why would I wait for tomorrow when you don’t open until 9 am. I ask for my Rx back. She proceeds to have a personal conversation with a coworkers daughters when she could have filled my RX instead of using company time to take care of personal business. Might I add I waited 5+ mins while the same pharmacy Manager rang up the coworkers kids for candy instead of her taking my rx. I been in pain all day. That’s ok that’s what the complaint department is for. Especially when there were two Pharmacist on duty at the time.
I guess they removed my review of having the worst experience ever, maybe because I used the B word towards the pharmacist named Ann. Worst pharmacist and person I ever encountered in my life. I went there to fill my Xanax prescription and I was literally having an anxiety attack and since she was not able to get ahold of my doctor she kept my prescription and would not give it back. While I was talking to her she basically walked away from me and continued on to fill the rest of the prescriptions for some other patients who were waiting or in the drive thru. She basically did not even acknowledge me. And while I started to question her when she took my prescription, she was not listening to me one bits and she actually walked away from me when I was at the counter and went back to her computer to fill meds for other people. I will never ever in my life go to this Walgreens or any Walgreens to fill my prescriptions after having such a terrible experience with this one.
Wow. I went to this Walgreens my whole life and today they were the rudest most ignorant people I met in my life in the pharmacist. I was waiting in the drive thru line for 30min. And when It was my turn they told me to go back in line. Because Im a younger female so I said no I need my medicine because Im pregnant so they laughed and didnt help me so I left. If I have a miscarriage from the stress because of the embarrassment. I am crying and it was embarrassing
The store personnel are great. But going to the pharmacy is a whole different story. We have been given other peoples meds, the wrong meds with our name on it, the service is slow, and the pharmacist and techs always have an attitude toward customers, where it seems like a huge bother that people are there picking up meds. The pharmacy here is a joke.
Pharmacy staff is incredibly rude. Youd think you might be nicer to a frazzled mother in there buying medicine for her sick baby. Also, this is not the first time Ive had to deal with them I almost always feel like Im bothering them. Makes me want to move my prescriptions.
The store alone is great. The employees are very helpful. The pharmacy on the other hand is ridiculous. They are very rude, slow and make you feel like you are bothering them. It will take at least ten minutes to get your rx if you are the first car. Most of the time you have to ring the call button to get any service. They act like they dont see you.
The absolute worst pharmacy. They DO NOT return any phone calls on a status of a prescription if they do not have it OR even when its ready! I have had 2 incidents now with the inept staff of this poorly run pharmacy not calling or notifying me when they did not have the medication at this location. The corporate office needs to investigate and compliantly revamp this store and employees for the terrible service.
One of the Pharmacy Staff I dealt with this morning was just so rude and not helpful at all I had to call the Walgreens in Posen to help me so they can get some information from my insurance because the lady at Walgreens in Alsip told me she cant spend so much time on the phone and hung up on me. When it only took them less then two minutes to get my information over the phone in the Walgreens pharmacy in Posen!

2022-05-23The pharmacy experience was incredibly smooth and efficient. Kudos to Nisha the pharmacy manager, who runs a really tight ship! The candy aisle is also surprisingly respectable on chocolates, along with strong availability of mixed nuts -- I go with the Nice! brand for extra value.

2022-01-15This store is complete trash. One of the managers Tim is arrogant and rude. I asked him to look at a price ticket and he belittled me and said I was lying as I walked him to the ticket. Then he wouldn’t adjust it even tho that’s clearly what the product was. The pharmacy there also takes forever, expect to be waiting at least 30-45 minutes for a prescription that says “ready for pickup” if you can go to the other Walgreens on 127 Cicero, much better service.

2022-06-19Went inside to grab something today I was standing in line to see an encounter that made me sick. Older white male worker putting product up (Male Karen). Black man walked up to him said exuse me sir very polite. Worker did not look at the man AT All not once in the encounter and said Im listening with an attitude. Man proceeded to ask if the had something. Worker shakes his head no again not looking at the man at all. Tried to get workers name but his tag was turned.I will not support people with that type of hatred. I will be going to another Walgreens and will switch my future prescriptions to another location. We are all equal in my eyes. Give respect to get respect... its really simple. Ill be calling to mention this encounter.

2022-06-13The pharmacy is very rude. If youve never encountered the need for a polio vaccine booster, theres no need to reply with a condescending and patronizing tone. One could simply check the CDC immunization guide for further reference.

2022-02-15Pharmacy staff is absolutely brain-dead, and the retail staff are just as useless. Terrible service, constantly out of stock of medications, super b*tchy when asked to message doctors about refilling a prescription, and just a serious attitude problem there. Switching to the CVS on 103rd. Much better people and service.

2022-04-08The only thing worse than their photo counter is their pharmacy.Waited over three hours for a medication I needed immediately (per my doctor), just to be told that it’s out of stock and it wouldn’t be ready for four days. It took two phone calls, totaling literally 25 minutes to find this out from Nisha, the pharmacy manager. Not so much as an half way sincere apology, in fact it was implied that it was my fault for not having a text alert set up on my phone. Nobody had the forethought, courtesy, or professionalism to call me to tell me it wasn’t available and that they could send it to a different location. While I was wasting my time trying to reach Alsip, my wife called Oak Lawn, and wound up picking it up four hours late. So much for the four doses I am suppose to take this evening!Congratulations Walgreens Alsip, you inept staff and service falls below the standards of a typical DMV.

2021-09-26This pharmacy is a joke. I went today to get my wife vaccinated. I scheduled an appointment for 10:45 we didn’t get our shot for almost an hour after that. There were two employees a larger Hispanic kid and a smaller one both of who were completely useless. The skinny one had the nerve to get an attitude with me after they told my wife she was next and then let two people go in front of her. The larger one was lazy didn’t explain paperwork to my wife. Honestly i would never consider coming back to this location after dealing with the Sunday staff. The pharmacist who was there Thursday night was much better.

2021-11-16Ive changed my rating because it seems to be that the staff is much better. The customer service is where it needs to be... Friendly. Pharmacy Dept. I called again today 11/16/2021 and what a difference in staff. Great job Walgreens on hiring people that care about their jobs

2016-06-03This Walgreens is horrible. I also intend to call their corporate customer service line. For example (and this is one of many), yesterday I went to get ear drops. The pharmacist was so rude. I walked up to her window to ask her a question and she didnt even acknowledge I was standing there then started talking to me while looking the other way with her head down...I didnt even realize she was talking to me. Also, she let an employee know (right in front of me) not to worry about it - I am your only boss this is my pharmacy in regards to an upset customer. Completely unprofessional. The staff always looks very un-kept and they are very rude. I left there yesterday w/out picking up my prescription and had everything transferred my children and my own information over the Jewel on 120th and Pulaski. They are much nicer and cheaper. Plus their hours are better. When I was in line at Jewel waiting to give them my info another lady in line was sharing HER story of this Walgreens and it was pretty similar to mine. They are known in the neighborhood for being rude.

2015-03-10I have been going here for about 10 years service I would give 9 out of 10 with the exception of 1 pharmacy technician her attitude is much to be desired. I have only dealt with her maybe 2 times in 10 years. Excluding her I love this Walgreens and the pharmacist Connie has ALWAYS been a great help when I have my many questions, not only prescription, over the counter as well. The other staff are in the store are exceptional as well!
