Village Mall in other cities:
Our 8 children were told to leave the mall ranging in ages 14-16 and told they could not be there even to watch a movie without an adult. Ghostbusters rated PG13. Apparently you must be 17 to be in the mall on the weekends? And apparently AMC enforces it? That’s why the mall is dead. Bet AMC is wondering why ticket sales are non existent at this location. They just turned down 8 people to purchase snacks, drinks and tickets. Good thing we didn’t purchase them online before they headed there. These were not Covid restrictions just the rules. Good luck with staying open.
Has went down the tubes Ashamed of our mall nothing in the building Have to buy online or go out of town There needs to be someone oversee that place to bring business here It is a sad story compared to the 80s especially when you have to shop else where to get nice quality clothing and apparel.
Went to this McDonalds and was pleasantly surprised the person who was running drive-thru was amazing she was super friendly and an all-around kind person I dont remember what her name was I wish I did so I could be specific on who Im giving praises to but regardless this is a great McDonalds staff friendly Services fast food was good
The fish pond is delightful, and the coin spinner is loads of fun. Garfields has delightful food with a nice atmosphere, and they provide crayons for children. Bath and Body works is well organized with great candles and lots of very nice products.Joanns fabrics has a variety of crafting supplies, with almost everything one could ever need. it has a nice warehouse feel and is easy to navigate but smells slightly of cardboard.Dunham’s sports has a great camping section, and all of their products are high quality. they also sell merchandise for local teams, which is great if you want to show your support, and the entire store is very clean.Pet smart sells almost anything one would ever need however if one is not used to the smell of animals, can be slightly problematic.County market is well run, has a great inventory, and their deli section is especially delightful, as it has an area for eating. Good birthday cakes, and will design it however you would like. they also have small dispensers of twine which come in handy while shopping.Claire’s has a wonderful selection of anything any child would want, and you can even get your ears pierced there. If you need new shoes for your child as well, the shoe store is conveniently placed and the employees are friendly and kind. The play area will also keep them entertained, and have coin operated machines that are lots of fun.overall the mall is well run and clean, but unfortunately not very lively.
This crew at County Market North should be afforded frontline status and benefits for going above and beyond all expectations for eliminating Covid and staying open and providing all necessities and most amenities...my all-purpose, All-American favorite place to do business...and have fun with All Employees!!!Merry Christmas to Tom and the Entire Staff at County Market North, Danville, IL!!!
Its OK. Lost quite a few stores so lots of empty space. Like later mallsWould say the movie theater there is excellent.Bathrooms were pretty clean for a mall.Just wasnt much foot traffic.1 big issue and a bunch of other malls do this too, is no concealed carry allow. Does the mall really think a bag guy or guys will pay any attention to that. NO WAY.Leaves the good guy defenseless and lets everyone inside become a soft target
Movie Theaters are the only place I go , unless wife drags me to Bath and Body works, I thinking if theyd just lower the Rent we could get that place Booming again... Lower the Rent places would pay rent, I therefore taking up the loss and getting a better atmosphere...
I go to the Mall and shop at Bath and Bodyworks and Christopher and Banks, Burlington is great too. Im glad that those shops are still there, the Village Mall has lost so many great places to shop over the years, its too bad to, as I dont like having to drive all the way to C-U.
Me my 14 year old my 7 year old went to see Marvels Infinity War and Id have to say it was very good A family of three can go and get a combo of popcorn for $21 for two drinks one large popcorn and a mission for three for Sundays to matinee was 499 a piece so for right under $50 you could go to the Village Mall with two kids and watch a movie and have a good day
Mall is very dead you would call it there is no stores but a couple most of the lights are off so its very dark in some places and some of the stores are messy like city trends for example. Hopefully the mall will open up more stores. If not the mall is going to become abandoned.
This mall is an awful place to work and shop at. Management is leading this place to the ground. Niche stores, Garfield’s has disgusting food/safety procedures. This mall is a daycare for old people with nothing better to do than walk in circles, they don’t contribute to the commerce here. It’s a convenience-based “track” that provides little more than a space to walk around in. They even have signs for “mall walkers” all around the building which I find embarrassingly pathetic. Cater to people who literally do nothing to support the place? Bad business. Only thing of value here is GNC. Chaille is amazing. This mall is a joke.
While the mall was very clean, there were no people in it. The stores were open yet no patrons were milling about the. The only places I observed any volume of traffic flow was near the restaurant Garfields which is also the entrance for the movies. This mall choked out our downtown area with its big deal promises. Our downtown died for NAUGHT bc theres NOT enough energy in the Village Mall to sustain life in Danville businesses.
When I was a kid there was a food court & alot of great stores. Now its a ghost town of malls. All the good stores left. No food court. We go to the Theater there sometimes. Theres more walkers there than shoppers. We go to Champaign mall to do our shopping. Rosss,Bath & Body works,Burlington coat factory,& Dunhams is keeping the mall alive. Hard to find what youre looking for
There is not enough places and even places added they take more places away it used to be good!! food courts and eveything a mall is saposed to have food vedors. but thats the thing its going down hill and danville is a very large place. so i think it could be better i think they need to make it better. i mean al this money within the state that they get u would think they could make things better with malls and such ... so i give such a mad raiting becauze they add places and then take away and some places are very high on prices and things. but some places are great. think it could be more friendlier as well as its just dead now.
Good place to go shopping and walking around the mall and visiting with friends seeing friends visiting the stores they have good stores in there like Rosss which is a good store to go to cuz you can get clothes cheap there and see shoe stores Shoe Sensation fantastic store to get your shoes theres a lot to be there to check out
Theres literally nothing in the mall anymore. There are always creepy people roaming around that weird little area with the chairs. I havent been back since the book store closed and I dont really intend on ever going back. This place will most likely be abandoned within the next five years.
Awful mall, the stores are getting worse, this is going to be a big empty building in a town that is struggling unless they start doing so better campaigning to bring in better stores, and lower the rent which from what I have been told is astronomical in a town that can’t have that

2022-03-13This place is awesome. Take your kids and watch them have the time of their lives. The owner is absolutely wonderful and really has the very best place for kids in Vermillion County. Get over there and support this great business. Youll be glad you did. Thank you for the best birthday party for my kids

2022-04-20This mall is ok. There are not that many stores there like there used to be. When I was a little kid in the 2000s it was a good place to go. After the 2008 recession is when things started to go downhill there, many stores closed. It they have added a few places in there like ross, Burlington, and Joanns in the last few years but some other stores have closed since the pandemic like the jewelry counter in there and Christopher and Banks.

2022-04-06Stereotypically power hungry Mall Cop finished my patronage there. First, anyone who remembers, knows this mall used to be a lot better. Over the years, it has dwindled to very few stores. Those few stores, by themselves are still ok, but the mall part between them is basically a ghost town. That makes our experience with a power tripping security guard seem even sillier. My 3 kids, wife and I visited the mall on a week night. As usual, the whole place was virtually dead. While my 2 boys (9 and 11) waited for my wife and daughter to shop at Claires, we sat in a nearby rest area. This particular rest area had small playground equipment inside of it, with a sign indicating only small children should be on the equipment. It did not say bigger kids and adults couldnt sit on the padded seat surrounding the equipment. Now, had this area been busy with small children and their parents.. maybe I could understand what happened. But, again, the WHOLE MALL was EMPTY! So, about 5 mins after my boys and I sit on this padded bench, a little security guard comes up and rudely orders us out. He pointed to the sign about only children under a certain height being permitted on the equipment. To which I said, were not using the equipment, were sitting on the bench. He said that area was strictly for parents of kids playing on the equipment. Which, again, was EMPTY the entire time we were there. I was supervising my boys, they were not loud, rambunctious, or destructive. We were quietly, patiently waiting for the rest of the family to shop at Claires so we could go to the next store together. After our encounter with the mall cop.. in addition to the decline of the mall itself, we dont plan on going back.

2022-06-25Although it was pretty cold in the building, our bartender, Macy was pleasant and quick with our drinks. Nice bar.

2022-03-202 stars for this piece of 90s nostalgia, if youre looking for one of those wonderful pretzels, Barros or anything to eat this is not your mall. This mall has less to eat then a Ethiopian buffet. If you are looking to meet the Methany of your dream. I see wedding bells in your future. But if you need to feel better about yourself come on out. This is almost as good as people of Walmart.
