Even with how confusing Doctor and Vet appointments are with covid you can rest assured that they still get the job done. They are friendly, comforting, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to healing and caring for all your animals. All of the doctors here are great. Thank VCA for loving my fur buddies.
The doctor and staff are very caring while they have your pet and always keep you informed about what is happening regarding what they find and the treatment involved. If your pet is like another child or your only child you always want the best for them in life, bring them here. You will be glad you did!
Ive been meaning to write a review for a very long time. We have taken our beloved pets to this clinic for the past 11 years. We have had the utmost care and love provided to our animals. One of our pets had a particularly rough journey and each veterinarian provided true and genuine care along with cutting edge medical training. In our sorrow of losing him eventually, we never felt alone. I am forever grateful for this group of people and the way that they have continually gone above and beyond for our family and our pets. We wouldnt go anywhere else!
I have been taking my rescue baby Cortez here since he was adopted. Cortez has some trust issues and also dislikes other dogs, and the staff never fails to ensure he is comfortable and loved when he is at his appointments. With age, he has had numerous issues pop up and the staff always ensures that I am informed and supported and never fail to answer my endless questions with patience and kindness. Special shout-out to Dr. Mohus, she is just one of a kind and I trust her endlessly with Cortez. Thank you guys so much for everything!!!
The doctors at village animal clinic are very caring and will work within your budget to get you the care you need for your pet. Everytime I bring a pet here they a so loving to them and help us figure out what is wrong without unnecessary expenses. They are detailed in their explanations as to why they recommend something so we can have an informed decision and always follow up to see how our pets are doing.
So thankful for the kind, compassionate care my dog and cat receive. The staff when above and beyond when my sweet dog had failure to thrive after a surgery. He is here because of their care and concern. I have used a few other vets in the area in the past and this is by far the best!
Staff is nice except I did not like the fact that they did a test on my dog without my permission or advising me about the charges until I checked out. Some advice to the staff would be to ask your customers if you want a test done on their pet and let them know the costs before doing them.
I have taken my Italian Greyhound, Misty, to this clinic for a number of years. Misty has a chronic condition from the pet food poisoning that took place 11 years ago. The whole staff here has helped me keep Misty not only alive but active and well. When she does have an intestinal flair-up, we are seen immediately and get this little dog back on track. She has also had surgery here and the staff has been excellent. I have had pets for most of my 74 years and this is by far the most knowledgeable and compassionate clinic I have ever been to. Does not get any better than this!
I have paid this place hundreds of dollars and many visits and they have not healed even one of my 2 cats problems. They wont give medicine for my one cats hyperthyroid unless I pay for bloodwork every refill (she has lost 13 of her 24lbs, she has to have the medicine)and they wont let me do the cure because they say she has the marker for kidney disease. They missed a UTI in myother kitty and never have been able to get a urine sample on their own and after two doses of antibiotics say it still isnt gone. I walk up behind her with a cup when in box and she pees right in it. I dont know what to do they want money to take a sterile culture now and send it away. Why wasnt this done the right way at first. This place is worthless unless your rich and just wamt to donate to them. I am crying because I used all my money andhave no where to turn now. Sure they are nice but can they cure? or do they just give shots. And they make the liquid medicine themselves which is fine, but they charge double the normal cost and wont let you get it anyhere else!DONT BE FOOLED AND DONT GO HERE!!!!!

2022-06-24I can’t believe I’m leaving this review right now, but I’m just so disappointed with Village animal clinic after bringing my dog to them for over 12 years. Last week we knew it was time to make the decision to put my dog down. He’d been declining rapidly and then overnight lost the use of his legs. We called Village Animal Clinic to find out what our options might be, and the person who answered the phone sounded almost like she’d never encountered this type of call before (maybe she’s new? I’ll give her a pass…) and tried to schedule us for an appointment to bring my dog in. We explained that we were already beyond the stage of making an appointment for a check up, and moving him would be a huge challenge, and we were hoping to speak to the vet about what our options were. She tried to put us on hold and hung up on us instead. We called back and spoke to a second staff member. Again we reiterated the situation, and asked if maybe one of the doctors could call us to discuss end of life options. We were told that we could bring our dog in for an appointment or if we couldn’t bring the dog in, we could set up a phone “consult” which is an over-the-phone appointment and for which they charge you. That’s when my tears briefly stopped flowing and my jaw about hit the floor. You mean to tell me just to have a brief phone conversation with the vet, I have to pay $49 and wait for an appointment slot the following day? Not only was there zero compassion from either person we spoke to, but you’d think they would be able to provide us with some information about steps we might be able to take without needing to book an appointment and pay them. We literally just hung up on them, and decided to call a traveling vet instead. What an entirely different treatment we were given when we made that call. They listened and offered sympathy and then gave us options. We had our dog put down in our home the next day.I will NEVER use Village Animal Clinic or recommend them again.

2022-03-31Where to start at their failures. Thankfully we moved and started at a new vet. Never did VAC reccomend a teeth cleaning, but our new vet did. 13 teeth have to be pulled, has a fistula because of infection. This on top of having my other dog on too high a dose of rimadyl. Stay away, they are inept at their job

2022-03-01Brought my dog in for bloody buildup in her ears. They said it was infection. Tried the ear drops for a couple weeks, didn’t clear up. Went back, told me to try this ear drop next. Didn’t work. Then it was a whole slew of meds because they didn’t know what the issue was. That turned me off.I see your response and I appreciate it, but the second visit and second war meds didn’t work either. So then the solution was all kinds of meds even though none of your staff could tell me what the problem was. How do you prescribe meds when you don’t know what the problem is?

Every one of them is in good health at this point in large part to Village animal clinic. They responded very quickly when needed, In some occasions they have been able to help with really quick appointments and medicine when the need came. You can trust these people !! They are Excellent and Professional all around !!!

2021-10-27To diagnose feline injury - cat was limping ($235.00)! A normal working person cannot afford to medically care for their pets. Prices are through the roof! What could a person do, in caring for their pet, if unable to afford vet fees? They offer a payment plan on some credit contract, like a loan on payment plan. You could very easily accumulate up to $1000.00 in vet bills as I recently discovered. Office visit alone cost $65.00 at Village Animal Clinic in Carol Srtream. Pets are like family members, you need to give medical care when necessary, BUT, can you afford the cost? That is a real dilemma for many. And, as a result, the animal often goes without necessary medical care. This is so far past being wrong.

2021-04-12Incredibly good vet to talk to if you have issues with interactions with other people. Very very patient, hugely helpful towards explaining process and what would be told from each test. Reasonably priced, and left my cat feeling calmer going home than on the way there.

2021-03-09Love the team here at Village Animal Clinic. They’ve adapted their practices for COVID by meeting pet owners outside for a quick chat about the reason for the visit then take the pet inside for their visit. The vet then calls the owner and thoroughly discusses any results and questions before the tech brings the pet back outside. The process is seem less, the staff is caring and gentle and the doctors truly put the pet first!! Cannot say enough about how well humans and animals are treated here!!
