United States Postal Service in other cities:
I scheduled a package pick up for yesterday to send to a customer. I was sent a confirmation for the pick up but when I went downstairs this morning the box was still stitting in the mail bin. Now I have to explain to my customer why their item is going to be late. The mail carrier never seems to do their job. I get alerts stating that I have a packaged delivered to me which shows up 2 days after it states it was delivered. Sometimes I dont receive any mail for days at a time and then all of a sudden one day I get tons of mail. Something isnt right and this is totally unacceptable !!!!!
I had to renew my sons passport. Katrina, the agent at post office was so helpful and made this a such wonderful experience; Even though, her voice was almost gone (she had some throat issue); she took the time to explain every single detail on the application. Katrina if you ever read this thank you and I hope you get well soon!!
Honestly this has been the best customer service I have ever received at a Post Office. Victor and Marilu were so helpful, respectful, and demonstrated having a positive attitude. I was listening to the way they spoke to customers ahead of me and they were just so nice. I also received great service. They are an example of great customer service!
I wish I can leave no stars because I have yet to receive my mail and almost got a warrant out for my arrest because of this location not doing their job I even put my name on the mail box so they know where to put my mail yet no mail has coke now I gotta waste time out of my day with family to go ask why they’re not doing there jobs. Please do something with the people at this location none of them seem happy to even work there and always have attitude even when people are being polite to them.
Lazy women working today 2.26.21 when I stopped by a 6:10pm. On top of not being knowledge and a male standing behind me. We were both waiting in line first when a lady just walked in straight to the counter and got attended ahead of us. I let that pass because maybe the lady didn’t “see us in line waiting”. Anyways I just stopped by to drop off a package and needed help to attach the already pre-paid label. I asked the woman’s that attended me to help me out. Her response was “ you have to tape it up “. I asked her if she has any tape for me to do it myself. She still would not help me out, terrible service!!!
Its really unfortunate when people give bad reviews to government (or government funded) agencies. They PO is underfunded and when you experience slow service, its because they dont have the funds. Its bad decision making at the higher levels. I live by this PO and being that they are understaffed, the employees work their hardest. Thank you for all you do!
Wow I cant believe how rude the people is here, me and my husband took the day off and made an appointment for passports and brought all our documents needed and a lazy lady named DONNA was unable to help us just for missing a copy which she couldve had made there. Supervisor was called and also was unable to help, this is unacceptable I will be calling the corporation to complain. Try to avoid this office because people here seems like they dont want to help anyone!
If I could give 0 to this customer service, I would. I totally understand that representatives are given certain type of information to work with. But if a person comes here looking for help with a package and just get out even more frustrated than how he came at the beginning, it is just not fair at all. Customer service is about helping or giving the tools to a customer to solve their needs. They just tell you ‘I am not familiar with this. Call the 1800 number’. I mean, if I came here is because an operator over the phone haven’t been able to help me with my problem. Otherwise I wouldn’t have waited 40min in line.
I was discussed and embarrassed to witness how a supervisor handled his interaction while dealing with a customer. His way of introducing himself as a supervisor was whats up . Apparently from what I gathered, the customer was concerned about a package he shipped to NY and was trying to find out why the package was not delivered after it showed that it was attempted to be delivered only once. Yes I know that he supervisor has limitations to what he can do, but the way he handled it was no professional at all. Calling the custome dawg, and ing an aggressive tone with him as if he was upset to be called to resolve the issue at hand. He even though he was being punked , he said it outloud multiple times. Stating, are you kidding me right now dawg, am I being punked right now? The last time I checked a person holding a supervisor role is there to resolve any issues in a professional matter, not to mention dressed in a professional matter as well. If all the staff that you supervise has to come in to work and be in uniform, should you the supervisor be dressed professional as well? Not this guy!, blue jeans and striped tshirts are good enough. If I was the customer during this interaction I would be asking if I was being punked and request to speak to the REAL supervisor. If this is the type of supervisors USPS is hiring well sign me up! Id be able to manage this position, heck pick anyone struggling from the street, you may get someone more qualified to do the job. I sure dont hope staff here are proud to work under this so called supervisor, because if it was me, Id be embarrassed
On Friday 12/8/2017 I went out on my porch to get the mail. The mailman (not our regular one) just left my porch and was walking to his cart and was getting the mail for the next house. I just had a couple of envelopes in my mailbox. When I got inside and checked my email I noticed that a packaged was supposedly delivered at 4:35, I was on my porch at that time and there was NO package delivered to my house. The next day I waited to ask our mail lady if she had a package for me and she was very nice but no there was no package for me. On Monday I went out to get my mail and I saw the mail person walking across the street so I asked if there was another package for me, but the person didnt answer so I dont know if they heard me. Today 12/12/2017 I called the local post office and got the prerecorded message and put in the tracking number of the missing package and it just stated the info I already had. If I wanted to talk to someone the wait time was over an hour. I am not hanging on the phone for over an hour to speak to someone who may or may not be helpful. Either a worker took my package or it was delivered to the wrong house those are my options it seems. Not happy at all.
I went to the Irving Park Post office this morning to mail my Christmas boxes out. While waiting, I observed the Clerks being friendly and helpful to every customer they took care of. The supervisor, Miss Davis called me over to take care of my boxes. This is the first time Ive visited this one, and will definitely return!
HORRIBLE!! Was expecting packages that ended up being marked addressee unknown when I’ve lived there for the last 5 months and name is on the mailbox. Called to speak to someone who said he would be delivering the packages the next day. They never came and were sent back to the sender. Called a 3rd time to speak to a supervisor who was rude, unprofessional and basically stuck up for the delivery person who did not deliver the packages. Their employees are trash.
Avoid this Post Office at all cost. The worst customer service in the planet. Will not give receipts for prepaid packages. Have complained all over the city about this. Managers say they are supposed to give you a receipt no matter what. Here they tell you to leave all prepaid packages without a receipt. The most ignorant postal employee is here.
The people in the back or what they call customer service agents dont take their job seriously. I called about an issue with my delivery and they didnt answer the first three calls. When they answered, I hear all these people laughing and playing around in the background. They told me that they were going to give me a call at 5:30 which is when their carrier would arrive. I didnt receive a call, so I called four times and no answer. Decided to just drop by and see if I could pick up my package. The facility was empty as it can be. I get there and I can still hear people laughing at the back. The lady in the front went to the back to check with their customer service agents. Came back and told me that I just missed the carrier and that I was suppose to call before coming in as I was told to do so. The lady who picked up my phone call had specifically told me that they were gonna give me a call since she asked for my name and phone number. They really need to step up their customer service skills if anyone wants to take them seriously. Theyre making the US Post Office a bad experience.
I was sending a letter to the Army base in South Korea. They made me put two global stamps explaining that this is required if I dont want to fill out the customs form (for a letter??). I havent had time so thats what I did. Its been a few weeks since and seems to me that they lost the letter because the recipient never got it. I decided to ask at another USPS location and the worker told me that I dont need to use global stamps if Im sending a letter to a US military base out of the country. Nor do I need to fill out any forms if it is a regular letter. Totally disappointed with their service.
Possibly the worst post office I’ve ever had to deal with . Rude unprofessional staff especially one young womanWhile dealing with another person at the counter she kept yelling and screaming interrupting wouldn’t let anyone get a word in.I gave It one star bc there was actually one person who explained the issues with delivery but that was a second attempt I made to try to get my package..
For some reason, every time I go there’s only one person in the windows. They’ll have a line going out the door but none of the staff helps. They’re always standing around and talking/laughing, just staring at the line get bigger. They also have to understand that we don’t work there and don’t know understand how most of this works and not give us a nasty attitude when we ask questions. There’s one lady, I’m not sure of her name, but she’s been there for a long time — she always has a sour attitude.
This is by far the worst post office ever, terrible beyond my words customer service, I have mailed a certified letter over a month ago and it was never delivered, they put it in as non claimable when in fact the mailman never even got to the house. I have people waiting for their mail containing important documents and these a**holes dont even bother to deliver the packages. When I call nobody ever picks up and its so annoying to get a hold of them. Thank Lord I do not live close to them otherwise I would have gone and yelled at everybody there. I am so mad cant even put it in words!!! Stay away from them and go to other post offices where you will get treated better.
If your looking to get your ass kisses the post office is not the place for that. First off you have to understand that the post office is not Starbucks. So the rules of the game are totally different. sending a letter, picking up mail or applying for a passport are all different process. There was a time 20 years ago when the post office rained KING. You could walk into a station and there was a plethora of willing employees waiting to help you. not the case anymore. my best advice is to set aside an hour a day to get to know your local post office. understand the rules and regulations of package handling. bring home a few forums as study aids. So you can help others in there times of need. There is no worse feeling then standing inline for 45 minutes just to realize you filled out the wrong customs forms. The post-office is a sick and broken machine that has all kinds of competition today. So the next time you see your local letter carrier at 8:30pm in February. Understand your mail is going to late. But they are doing THEIR best. Not yours BUT theirs.
Went there today and the staff was helpful and super friendly. Letters were shipped no problem. Lines were at one point long, but staff members were on top of things and had everyone in and out in no time. These other one star reviews are from impatient customer service nightmares. This post office deserves better.
It seems like it is the thing to do, to complain about the Post Office. I am a regular visitor to this location as I sell online. I find the staff is friendly and helpful and they know who I am. This location has great hours (open to 6:30 PM weekdays and 3 PM Sat.) and excellent parking. Occasionally there is a long line; I have seen the manager come out and assist people in line answering questions and helping them so they will need less counter time.
They have some awesome nice workers, maybe like 20 percent, but overall the office is so so inconsistent with their pickups... you can tell how annoyed some of them get when you talk to them. One time they straight up hung up on me on the phone. They say they dont have enough workers... but they also need better management.
This is one of the worst post offices. For a government building Id expect their standards to be higher. Out of the other offices Ive been too, people are friendly and the building is welcoming. But this one... the interior is depressing, the ladies bark at you like their time is being wasted, and you have to wait in line forever because they cant seem to navigate the area fast enough. While there can be one or two that have a good day here and there - I try to plan my post office trips while Im on my way home from work so I can go somewhere else. There only seems to be one person at the counter at a time- so wait times are long- especially when people are applying for a passport- everyone has to wait for that. Why cant the many other employees help out? We can hear them talking in the back.
Absolutely horrible!!! This is NOT a story, this happen!! I ordered baby chicks and sadly they shipped them to this post office. I was away and agreed with my mother to go pick them up. She came early from work to pick them up to find out that they wont let her due to her last name (its different from mine). Well she went all the way home and got her ID and came back. Still, they wouldnt let her take them. She explained that shes my mother and Im out right now so shes here to pick them up. But yet, they say no with attitude. They did leave a voicemail and yes I know someone would pick them up.The worst part was when she took the chicks to the back and all you can here are their(chicks)cries. So after a couple of hours, they agreed to mail the birds themselves to out home. Okay, well now my mother waits and waits for their arrival. About an hour later she decides to go water the plants and all of a sudden she hears chirps. There they are, on the front porch...IN THE HOT SUN OUTSIDE! The mail person didnt even ring the doorbell they probably just threw it and left. The chicks were finally home after many hours and stressful times with the horrible staff. They dont put any effort into their work, not even a little. Horrible lazy staff, -5 star post office!!
Their all lazy all the time it seems like they just woke up and dont even want to talk to you ! it was barely 215pm and the lady didnt want to take care of me assuming I didnt had all my documents for my passport ready before asking unfortunately I didnt . She also left me hanging to take care of other customers instead of calling for help . She was so rude. Bt hey another African american lady came and she was so happy to talk to her . I dont know who hires all these people with bad customer service.
Rudest customer service Ive ever experienced. The woman spoke OVER me on the phone over and over and refused to listen to a single word as soon as she picked up the phone. Then put me on hold. I dont know how to report inexcusable behavior of government employees but Id sure love to find out. Absolutely unacceptable behavior.
Our Normal Letter carrier is fantastic and should get 5 stars if not more. But the Temporary carriers and some of the sorters dont seem to care as much as in the past. AND most of the staff in the actual office cares but there are a few that just want to keep the office in a low rating
I cant even express how much I hate usps. These guys are absolutely careless, disrespectful and lazy. Its better to use pigeons than this postal service. Negative 100000 stars. Hate it with all my heart. Save yourself some time use an owl. Thanks for attention. Hope youll close this rat hole and everything related to this.Update: I received notice on 4/29/16 that I got mail to pick up. On 4/30/16 I went there first time, waited for 40 min, they said that they cant find it, took my info(phone number, address) said they will call me, in 6 days I came back for the second time 5/5/16 same story, went to Hawaii, came back. Today 5/12/16 lady took my notice, came back in 15 min and said that they sent my package to return center since nobody showed up for 15 days. Told me to speak to supervisor. So I did. First of all correct me if Im wrong its only 13 days since I got the notice, and I was there 2 times in that period. The supervisor lady said give me a moment, left and never came back.
Fairly slow, almost sloth like speed and with a patronizing voice as they speak to you. It feels like they are doing you a favor when they help you.Not all that bad though if you have patience and inner peace.I understand though, the job isn’t that inspiring.I do wish them the best though.
Every single package Ive ever ordered since Ive lived in this area has NEVER been delivered on time but is always at the post office the night before its due for delivery. This is my 4th package and it was due Tuesday, been at the location since Monday and it is nowThursday.Calling or going in does not help whatsoever. The employees are HORRIBLE at customer service / helping. I went in to try to pick up my package that was already there and all they did was give me attitude and print off the tracking information that I was already following myself.Lesson learned. From now on all of my packages will be mailed to Rockford since their post offfices are the only ones that can get the job done correctly. What a shame and sorry excuse for government workers.
This place doesnt deserve all the flak everyone gives it. Do you all not realize how few people working affects phone calls, this that and the other? But thats beside the point. Ive come in and sent international packages here several times with no problems. You just have to be patient and let them do their jobs. Key note: be PATIENT.Ive been taken care of several times by Ms. Renee who has never been short with me, even if theres a huge line or I filled out the wrong forms. The facility is always clean and Ive even come in with minutes before closing and sent an international package (I felt bad because I understand the feeling of people coming in at close with a difficult task) but they took care of me still.Just be nice and theyll treat you right. Duh.
Called with a question and was left on hold. 10:30am Friday so not sure how bussy they were to be fair. Terrible way to treat customers, let alone taxpayers who are paying for thier job. This is how jobs are lost and businesses close in the real world. Dont have people answering phones or working with the customers if they dont want to take care of what people need. Using post office shouldnt be unpleasant.
Constantly losing and delaying packages. Twice Ive been given pink pickup notices with zero information on them, prompting the people at the post office to think Im scamming them. Twice Ive had the door locked on me at 6:20 when Im trying to pickup packages, and I had to leave work early to do that. Attached picture is a typical week in 60641.Postmaster agrees this is a problem, but its been ongoing since I moved here 2 years ago.
This post office is the worst of them all. I hate going to do anything with them. For years theyve been sloppy, throwing your package on ground, slow at delivery . Ive seen them throw our mail or packages on the ground. Just very disrespectful to me. I was home today and they didnt deliver my package at all. Cant wait until I move.
Waiting on delivery watching out the living room window all day. Get an email update saying unable to deliver no access. Complete and total lies. Everyone is quarantined at home with 4 doorbells to ring and all neighbors home all day. Drivers do not even attempt to deliver packages
I have a package arriving today, and they told me that my package was in my area. My arrival date was July 1st 2017. I never got a package. If you are expecting a package on saturdays, dont get excited WAIT TIL MONDAY. They just come and go when they want to. THE PACKAGE WAS IN MY AREA MY AREA and they couldnt deliver it?? Lazy ass staff.
My experience is so bad and their customer service! The lady who does passport treated me poorly more than once! She told me I had to go to the library for copies for technically I’m paying 35$ for them to do their job!!! That’s the whole point of them taking classes.. I read the whole processes and she should be written up.
Close to home, GREAT HOURS, plenty of parking in lot, and the customer service I have received has always been professional so far.... Waiting in line is a part of life people! I cant stress enough how people do things last minute and want to blame the person behind the counter because THEY CHOSE NOT TO MAKE ENOUGH TIME IN THEIR DAY TO DO THINGS & ARE NOW IN A HURRY... So I dont mind as long as the line is moving.
They are constantly stating no access to my building when delivering a package. They dont even try to ring the doorbell. I have been home EVERY SINGLE TIME they have claimed this. I have been home to buzz them into the building so they can deliver the package. I have called and complained about this as well. Im not sure who to complain to about this problem.
This post office its a joke, very incompetent people working there !!!they come to work as they feel likeI it . I had appointment to renew my password I fill out an online application and schedule appointment .I went there and I find out that this day nobodys going to be there,if this is the case why leaving appointments available to be scheduled ,this is not the first time that happened ! My kids did the same thing and it happened the same to them , is anybody responsible working there ?? If I could put zero stars I would, but there is no option for 0 stars , this is so unacceptable this post office has such a bad , bad , bad non-professional people working there, is this a private institution or a government post office, because if its government post office , all those people that are working there especially in passport service , should be replaced !!!So unprofessional and rude , how this post office still there , with all those bad people working there !!!!And I read some reviews , some mentioned that the post office is not there to kiss people ass , well expect any one to kiss my ass , but I do expact Service as it say they provide . So to those who wrote this get a life ! It is government institution , it should be respectful ,professional and polite !
This is THE worst experience Ive ever had in a post office, so bad, that I was compelled to write about it. I walked in and saw a ton of people out of line waiting for passport photos. Apparently they only take 15 people a day to do this for and the rest have to try and come back the next day.I came in to just pay the postage for a small box and a heavy envelope. When I asked them to tape up the box (which other post offices have done for me before), the woman looked at me and said YOU have to do that, so i had to buy their tape and tape up the box. Then I gave her the address assuming shed make a label for the box (also, something other post offices have done!) and she said I dont do that... you have to do that. So luckily I had the damn tape and taped the address to the box.Lastly, when i went to pay, I pulled out my credit card and she said no credit or debit today. our machines are down. I told her, i had JUST seen a guy swipe on the register next to her (where the clerk had left right as it was my turn). She said they havent been working all and it was marked at the entrance no credit or debit today. I didnt see the sign or i would have not even entered. So i dug through my wallet and was 3 dollars short. I asked her to take off one of the other envelopes that needed postage, which voided the entire order. She had attitude when she had to re add all the items (tape, book of stamps, and the postage). When the total came up i was still 60 cents short. I stood ther and was like.. look this is all i have and she said I have a five minute limit and you have a decision to make.. i looked around hopelessly and saw that a man was nice enough to give me the dollar i needed.I have NEVER felt so much apathy from one person in my entire life... She was rude, unaccomodating, and provided the worst customer service Ive ever seen.Avoid this post office.
I am ever grateful for Mr. Hopson helping today. I purchased a gift for my husband and because of an error on my part (missing my address by one digit) my package was almost resent to sender. Because of Mr. Hopson he was able to locate the package and update my address. I recognize this is not always possible to do but the fact that Mr. Hopson went above an beyond what I couldve asked for truly made my day. Thank you, Mr. Hopson!
The status of my mail from USCIS showed delivered but its never been delivered!!! I saw other bad reviews with the same problem too. I was home to check the mail immediately. If you never delivered it why you had to lie about the status??? its important mail and USPS is never responsible for this missing mail.
The package supposed to be delivered on Saturday as the tracking has shown, with the carrier note at 4:02 PM that was no access to the address while business was opened until 5PM, so Monday I confronted the superviser MS White and literally I was thrown out by her, wishing me to have a good day with no explanation about the delivery. Content of the package was crucial, since business is the pharmacy and the recipient needed the medication.
I was 10 minutes in a line waiting, with five people first than me, and at least three behind. Nobody was attending, nobody appears, we can hear people laughing at the back side. As a prank, I was looking for the camera. The worst service in the world. I had to go, looking for another post office.
Tell the your mail delivery workers to stop scan people package 1hr and more before delivered. Because my packages been scan delivered yesterday and I went check and there was nothing there almost 2hr after they delivered it. And here the same thing happened again today 1/24/18 delivered at 11:05 and it 12:34 and still dont get it yet..
This location is by far the WORST one of all.. there’s a lady in there & she’s super lazy! Not to mention that she’s rude as well.. not only is she lazy but every employee in there are rude & lazy. What else can be done? Is there somewhere I can report this to? Because it seems like they always get away with it.. lazy ass people..
G said it best! Ignorant lazy bad attitude. They insulted and berated a 4 year old today for absolutely no reason. I felt so bad for him and I kept telling him there are just evil people in this world. I will be moving out of this area in the next few years and will not consider buying any house that has to use this post office. Every single person working that counter will receive the wrath of God one of these days. That is how bad it is!!
Incompetent & ignorant government employees. Collective IQ of an ape. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes each visit. Because you know, thats aint my job or Is on break.Have a Saturday package coming to your residence/business?? These hard working individuals will make sure to not even attempt delivery, and just site Business closed. Every. Time. Wait. Till. Monday. There is nothing good to say about this USPS. Deserves negative stars, one is far too generous.
After 6 calls to this office this morning (5 of which the line was busy and eventually disconnected, and 1 of which rang, then mysteriously disconnected), I finally reached someone. She asked me how she could help, I explained that I was trying to see if some packages that were being returned could be delivered, and she said hold on.That was 30 minutes ago. Ive been on hold the whole time.
If there was ever a post office to close, it should be this one. Ive been to this location numerous times and everytime expecting to have different service. Every single time Ive been disappointed because the service gets worse and worse. Perhaps it would be best if no one visited this location so all of those ignorant lazy people would no longer have a job.
Dont understand why mangers are ignoring peoples complaints....very unprofessional, slow, unhappy and poor customer service.Young ladys green nails are so long she cant even touch their computer screen properly. Is this is a joke or Unuted State Poat Office? Is anyone will something about it?
The meanest the laziest and no sense of hospitality or customer service I will give them zero stars if I can...Last time I was there a white lady was the only one with a good service guiding and helping customers...After she left another lady come in she was ( watching) another worker mapping the floor then she started an argument with a gentleman who does not speak or understand English and she was forcing him to buy a package that it was open by a prior customer... then another worker behind a desk that was helping a guest was encouraging her to disrespect this gentleman by saying this is not Walmart you dont do this here...Then again the same black female possibly a supervisor forced this man repeatedly to buy and to pay for the products it was a plastic wrap that was open prior by possibly another customer... when I arrived to that location I did observe the package was open and setting on the ground and then the gentleman walked right behind me talking on the phone with a foreign language the white female supervisor was attempting to help him because he does not speak the language or understand it he did pass on the phone to her and then she spoke to someone on the phone...I will definitely give that lady a 10 star for helping this gentleman....thats what makes us Americans we are all foreign we been brought to this country either in fear or slaves...But in the end we are all here in America ; Albanians, Africans Hispanic Chinese Japanese Germans Arabs...Make no mistake racism is here discrimination is here and I did witness that again inside the united states post office...And because I spoke and I told these people to leave the poor man alone my package was sent back to my house as a punishment , this lady and The gentleman behind a desk use their little technique to refusal service and to punish my wife and I for sending Christmas gifts to our family around the world...I do not wish that these people will lose their job but I will advise managers and supervisors to learn a little bit about hospitality and customer service..You need my service more than I do its nothing but a package that needs to be sent somewhere else...Merry Christmas and happy holidays your friendly neighbor..
Worse mail del. ever seen in 42 years living here started a few years ago, I dont think its mail person I think its there management ...time to get someone who knows how to run it like a business sick of getting wrong mail, mail delivered at 7;00 pm, I here other postal areas are bad but Irving Park wins hands down as worst >>>
Been trying to call this post office for 3 hours, and get an eternal busy signal, as though the phone was left off the hook, and there is no voicemail. What kind of business in the 21st century has no voicemail, or redirect to recordings, hold music....something!!!!!
Its friday and its 3pm..this facility has a ridiculously customer service..1 worker and 8 customers waiting in line..i was here for 20 min till it was my turn..the other worker was on break. Why on a friday at rush hour time is their only 1 worker? Smh!! Never coming back
WORSE PLACE IVE EVER SEEN THE MAIL DELIVERY THE SO CALLED SUPERVISORS ARE RUDE AS HELL.ITS REALLY A SHAME THEY DONT CLEAN HOUSE AND GET A WHOLE NEW CREW DOWN ON CICERO AVE.SO MANY PEOPLE NEEDING JOBS THAT WOULD HOPEFULLY BE BETTER THAN WHAT THEY HAVE NOW COULD USE WORK .......SMH I HAVE TO RATE THIS HORRIBLE PLACE WITH 1 STAR JUST TO PUT A REVIEW UP
The first thing Sheena said to me whe I came up to the desk was You must be on some bullshit coming over here saying, Howre you doing today?....like what? I was just being a nice, but apparently she doesnt know what that is because why would you say that to a customer? 1. Dont talk to me with disrespect. And2. Youre not working for free. Worst experience ever. Recommend getting nicer people at this location.
Ive complaint about mail from other addresses being deliver numerous times to my address. Ive even put a line through the address that tells the post office that recipient no longer resides at address. I still keep getting that same mail and more. This is one one the worst P.O.s I have been to

2022-08-05This post office is absolutely wonderful 10/10. Ive been to so many post offices in Chicago and none of them can compare with this location. The employees here are extremely friendly, kind and always in a good mood. Theyre always ready to help and explain things. I love coming here

2022-05-10The employees at this post office are really something else. I have honestly never been to a post office where everyone who worked there were so nice and happy with customers. I don’t even mind waiting in line because they don’t have enough employees, because there little family works.

2022-06-25They have the rudest mail carriers. 90% of the time the mail is in the wrong mailboxes. They each have names on them, why should we have to sort the mail to make sure it gets to the correct person?

2017-03-01There were two clerk on duty and I had a package already paid for but since I had them on a box that said priority I was told that I could either purchase priority mail postage or have them boxed in a regular box. Not sure why the difference if its just a box. Either way I just left and went to another post office. The clerk was polite and explained it to me well.

2021-12-15Very helpful gentleman working at the counter today. Helped me pick out the right holiday box to ship a Christmas gift. Very patient and pleasant experience. I checked on Google first to see how busy it was. I did not have to wait when visiting around 11:30am on a Tuesday. In and out in 5 min

2021-08-23Over a month and a half ago, on the same day, I paid for two services: an international priority mail letter and an international parcel. Both were due to arrive within 6-10 days. The parcel did. The letter, however, is still not accounted for. The first time I went back to the post office to check why this is happening, I was given a number to call which, after two dozen attempts and a couple of voice mails, proved a dead end so I went back today. The first person that “helped” me was Katrina. After being told that the letter was stuck in customs for over a month and that there was no way to contact customs to ask how much longer they would hold on to these urgent and important documents, I attempted to ask: “How long is it customary for a person to wait before assuming the letter is lost?”. I say attempted, because Katrina would keep interrupting my question (never allowing me to actually finish it) with giving me the same info over and over: “Customs has it and there’s no way to find out how long they’ll have it for.” Even though I was told it would arrive to its destination in 6-10 days. Even though that’s the service I paid for. Since Katrina would not even let me finish my question, her for-worker (I really wish I had remembered her name because she seemed like she wanted to help from the beginning and actually had the answers! I’m embarrassed to admit that the one person who deserves praise in this situation I can’t even acknowledge) took the time to hear my question in full and give me the answer: “It would have to be released within 45 days.” My issue hasn’t been fully resolved yet, but at least I have a deadline I can measure progress against. I strongly encourage the managers of this branch to get Katrina back into training on dealing with customers and perhaps, at the very least, recuse her for admitting that she doesn’t know the answer so she can defer to someone who does.
