Its great for in store experience when needing to be in store and good loyalty rewards program overall
Ulta reached out and apologized for my previous bad experience which I really appreciated so I have been back a few times since my last incident. The sales associates are mainly all very helpful and sweet. I have had very good experiences the last few visits and have already spent more in the last few visits than I have the whole last year.I will continue to visit this store since it is extremely close to my home and I look forward to hopefully updating to 5 stars.
This is my favorite location. Bigger and better stocked/organized with more brands than the other locations Ive been to. The staff here are extremely helpful and friendly. This location has Chanel makeup, which is only at a very select few stores. Ample parking and convenient to the highway. I prefer Ulta to other beauty stores because they have more of the products I need and their rewards points system is structured better than their competition.
I had my eyebrows tinted, and my hair colored. This was the first time Ive had these services done at Ulta and I was super impressed!! The staff was SUPER friendly! Daisy did my hair, Rebecca did my eyebrows and Katy just talked to me. My hair and brows look great!! Highly recommended!!👍👍
It was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon and had to wait in line some however a very helpful employee went through the like to talk to the customers and gave us free Clinique chubby sticks for the wait. She also suggested products based on the hair color i was purchasing which was great, she took time to get to know me and gave me her honest opinions and recommendations. Great customer service! I will be back!
This ULTA Store has the best customer service representatives, but my favorite one is Ramon.. He definitely defines excellent customer service by showing the customer how important they are to him and the business, he interacts with the customer in a friendly- helpful and positive way, he’s also very knowledgeable and always answers our questions...Today was the second time he helped us and he is the reason I continue to shop @ this store. THANK YOU, Ramon!! You are a very important asset to Ulta and I really hope they recognize that, please keep doing what you do, because you are amazing at it.
I can never shop in peace at this location. It feels like every 5 seconds an employee is asking if I need help. I understand being greeted at the door, but after that it’s really too much. If I needed help I would ask. The employees here need to learn to read customers better, because I’m more likely to spend more money when I’m not being harassed.
Ramon was super helpful in helping me and my wife with skincare products. Great atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Best Ulta Ive been to so far!
Ulta cashier have me the discount even though the liter sized shampoo and conditioner I bought werent included on the sale poster. They take care of their customers.
Walked In the lady told me to come back because the girl that dose facials is getting her hair done the thing that upset me was that an employe had the decency to roll her eyes at me like 3 times. So I said I’ll just come back at 7:30 had to wash my hair again because it is hard to braid my curly hair dry. when I come back at 7:25 they are still doing her hair... I just wanted two French braids that would have taken 10-15 min to do an employee that was doing her the girl that dose facials hair could not squeeze me in a paying customer in for 10-15 min I am not waiting 30 min with my 3 year old girl because some brats can’t do my hair in 10-15 min I do not recommend coming in to do your hair here super rude!
Klye, the Manager was so helpful and really went out of his way to help me with my exchange, the customer service I experienced at this Highland Park Location is worth driving past 2 other Ulta locations near my home.

Honestly every time I come to this Ulta I really dislike how dismissive some of the employees can be.I shop here because it’s conveniently close by to my home but I’d rather make the drive to the Northbrook location since the staff there is much nicer.

2021-11-10The products are fine. However, when i went to checkout, my sales person and her manager insisted, on me giving my phone # and/or email, which i wouldnt do. There is enough internet and phone spamming. They tried to bribe me with free samples. Really??? I almost walked out without buying anything. I spent around $60, not an insignificant purchase. I will not shop there but will.shop at Sephora instead. Not a good business practice.

2021-08-20Ashley, in the salon, has been wonderful to work with! Shes helping my daughter grow her hair out from a short style. She recently introduced us to the lovely woman at the Benefit Brow counter and she was great too. Everyone that I have come in contact with at the Highland Park Ulta has been very knowledgeable and helpful in find just the right products.

2021-04-21I have worked for Ulta for 4+ years, and have been getting my hair done (various locations) ever since. I’ve always had awesome services, but have never felt compelled to write a review.I got my hair done a couple of weeks ago from Ashley (highland park) and I am OBSESSED- Can’t stop checking myself out when I pass a mirror lol and have received a ton of compliments!It’s really easy to maintain and I actually look forward to styling my hair! You’ve gotta check her out!!

2021-06-08At checkout, I was asked for my phone number. I said I dont give it out. I was told I could not return the item without it. I asked, even if I have a receipt? I was told yes.I followed up with the Ultra Beauty corporate customer service and was told the information I received was incorrect. A receipt was fine. Obviously, they just want to capture your phone number. Bad training.Update: 2 years later and they are still telling people they cant return without providing a phone number at time of purchase. I told the clerk that I contacted Ulta and she said that its what her Manager said to communicate to customers.

2020-09-19Went to exchange a lipstick for a different brand that I had bought on sale and called ahead about. When I tried to return it, I was told rudely that they would not accept the return and to go to another store. So I went to the northbrook location, and they accepted my return with no problems whatsoever.Upon returning home, I had discovered that the other lipstick I had bought was completely dried out. I went back to the Highland Park location to return it for convenience. I was treated with extreme disrespect and made to feel like it was my fault I bought a faulty product. This location does not check their product quality for expired makeup, or handle situations professionally. If you need to shop at Ulta, save your time and money and go to the Northbrook location instead.

2021-07-01Worst customer service! The cashier Gabi had an attitude with the customer in front of me and then with me, she would show unhappy faces and when I mentioned to the manager she said that it’s ok. I said thank you for your help and the cashier didn’t say anything back! Definitely will never go back to this location!
