I went on Sunday January 3rd, 2021 right when they opened at 11am for their Redken Liter sale. They had some what of what I wanted to get but still got my purchase. Out of the staff that was there only 3 ladies were helpful the rest didnt acknowledge I was a customer. Naomi my cashier was very helpful and friendly. The other girl that greeted was friendly and let me know what sales were going on. My sales associate was very helpful (i didnt get her name) on helping me find the Redken shampoo and conditioner I wanted.
Worst experience ever!!!! Do not get serviced by stylist Kristin. She has a horrible attitude my recently turned 18 yr old niece went in on the day of her bday for a fun lavender ombré in her hair and definitely did not get it. No blonde what so ever because per Kristin looks more natural. Not even close to inspiration picture.None the less the hissy fit she had when returned for fix service. Made it clear “give them a refund and I’m not touching her hair!!” Walked away and left us talking alone. This is completely COMPLETELY unacceptable. She might be good at what she “does” when it’s done per customer request but she is not please at all.Definitely will not be returning to this ULTA which is sad because it is the one in our neighborhood and don’t like going out to other places if we can help our community grow.
I came in for the first time last Thursday and I bought a few matte lipsticks and when I get to my car to try them on I realized they were opened previously. I don’t blame the staff I blame the people who open makeup for fun. I went in to return them and a staff member kindly said that they didn’t have the colors in stock so I’d have to come back on Tuesday. I’m thankful that they were understanding :)
First and foremost, I want to say I love my hairstylist (Jessica) at Ulta beauty Salon. She does an excellent job. However, I’m disappointed in the company itself. I had a hair appointment for a balayage and I was informed by my stylist and the manager that they ran out of bleach therefore the job was unable to be done. I booked this appointment 2 months prior and it was scheduled for 6/6/21then it was rescheduled to 6/13/21because my stylist wasn’t available, which was okay with me. I was not expecting to go into my appointment today 6/13 and be turned away because the salon didn’t have the materials that were needed. The manager did offer to give me a free haircut for the inconvenience but that doesn’t change the fact that I walked out unhappy. How is this place even running a salon and don’t have the materials in stock knowing they are providing services to customers. I seriously could not understand how an “upscale” salon could not execute their services because of lack of care on their part. A manager should be in charge of checking inventory and keeping up with products that are needed to provide the services they offer. Something so basic such as bleach should Not be something you run out of in a “SALON”. I was so disappointed I had to reschedule my appointment for the third time. The only reason I’m going back is because of my stylist and her skill set. Hopefully there are no further issues from this point on.
I’ve been going to the Ulta Salon on Pulaski a couple of times and I love dealing with Vanessa Chavez 😍 I’m EXTREMELY picky with my hair and I usually do my own hair because I always have negative experiences everywhere I go. Vanessa makes sure to ask me a lot of questions before/after my service to make sure I’m happy with the results and I really appreciate that because not a lot of hairdressers are as engaged as she is!! I always get a blowout after my services and every single time she always does such an amazing job and always leaves my hair looking right 🤩🥰*For reference, I always get a signature cut.
I had came to this Ulta location with my niece yesterday for a couple of items and for some quality time and to show her a good time. Unfortunately Melissa at checkout and her rude demeanor made it a horrible unwelcoming experience. When I was at checkout she made zero eye contact when speaking to me and looked visibly irritated when asking me questions about my Ulta membership and spoke as if she was in a rush to get me out the door as if there were other customers behind me when there wasn’t any. Horrible customer service & extremely unwelcoming. Please get cashiers who actually like there jobs because clearly this job does not make her happy and it shows.
Everyone who works there is so ffeidnly and willing to assist and answer all of your questions. I asked soo many and the women there didnt mind at all. They directed me to everything I was looking for and went above and beyond to look for trial size kits to take home. They have everything you need at this location as well. I many new products id only seen online before. Love it here!
I really like this store. But ....... their policy on returning a product stinks. What ever happen to having a simple receipt was enough. They wont accept their own product if your telephone doesnt match. My telephone number is non of their business if I dont want to provide one. Maybe I dont want their points!! Please revise your policy!!!!!!!!
Nice store sometimes i feel like im being followed around kinda uncomfortable......but than when i did need someone no one around. Didnt have produce i wanted. Wanted something for face cleanser but lady brought me to The make up section. I found the face cleanser section on my own after she tried to help. Found something else line was tooo long and too hot. But will return
Javier was so nice. He helped me find the best foundation for my skin type since I have a combination of oily and dry skin. He recommended a face Primer that will help with my pores as well. They also recommend me a way to get rid of my blackheads since I suffer with that the most. I definitely recommended this place and Javier.
They always have what I want. Hardly ever out of stock.The salon employees are extremely helpful and kind. If you have been wanting to get a facial done, book an appointment with Daisy ASAP. She will leave your skin feeling amazing. Your first service is 20% off as well since she’s new. She is amazing at what she does!
Omw with my toddler to get our hair done and I receive a call regarding rescheduling. An associate called me Friday to confirm my appointment (which I did) and today they are rescheduling it because the salon associate was not in. Meanwhile I call the Ulta in river forest and they were more apologetic for the inconvenience than the Pulaski location was. She was helpful at river forest and accommodating. Thankfully for river forest or I would never be a customer at Ulta! I will be doing our hair at river forest and never dealing with the Pulaski location again. Beware of bad customer service and pure disorganization!
Do not recommend this location. Horrible experience! So last Tuesday, I went in to get a brow wax and tint, for the first time ever. I had been growing my brows for almost 4 months!! (Just for nothing😫) And I decided to go there because I thought they were professional, and boy I was so wrong. So the girl went on to apply the tint and all the time she kept looking at her smart watch not even paying close attention to what she was doing. What was the result? I ended up with a bad burn from the wax and a horrible tint. Do not go there! They dont know what theyre doing. 😡😡😭😭
TRANS 2990DATE 3/13/20 TIME 11:33 AMSTORE 1287 CASHIER KaylaI went in today for a store pick up. the day I order looks like they were not enough wipes and they recently got a shipment that night.The rep. saw how frustrated I was that I wasnt able to get both. Make up removal wipes (neutrogena) are the only way I remove make up and I had used a coupon to get them at a great price.She was able to help me and leave with both packages and still paid the same amount with coupon I had previously used.I am a very satisfied customer. thank you.
I lost my receipt and I wanted to return a setting spray I did not like, the cashier said she can see my purchase history with my rewards so I gave her my information. She finds the receipt then claims it does not tell her how I paid for it so she said I HAD to exchange it for another product. I found out that they can easily print the receipt for the client, the cashier is clearly not knowledgeable.
Took my daughter to have her eyebrows waxed like we have been doing for a couple years at the same store. Tore her skin off then tried to say she had to have used a peel before hand or used something on her face to cause her skin to come off!! New girl never seen her before! I did not have to pay for services. But the manager was real quick to put the blame on us!
Variety of products BUT the service does kind of suck. Employees arent knowledgeable of skincare. Also, salon services doesnt take appointments in store? It has to be through a call but it doesnt make sense if I cant make it IN STORE while Im already there? Even if its for a different day.Id rather shop online moving forward.
I called yesterday and asked what palette they have for a particular company. She put me on hold for 10 minutes only to find out with no answer. I asked her a specific palette and she came back with a rude attitude. Well, thanks to her I went to buy it online in the company’s website and got a 20% discount on 3 eyeshadow palettes and free shipping of 2 days. I think I spent so many $$$ on this place and not going to come back ever again.
Poor customer service. I needed help on getting makeup but the lady was too busy testing makeup on herself. Also, I ended up getting 2 Naked Heat pallets and the person thought I was going to take them. Instead of helping me find the makeup I needed, she was just following me to make sure I didnt take anything. Very poor experience in this store. I ended up finding what I needed and walked out with $250 worth of makeup. Would not recommend people going here unless you know what you need & not minding looking for it yourself. La Grange Ulta is so much better.
The bestest place to feel good about yourself. Nothing feels better than hanging out in a beauty place. Everything you need to get and learn new skills to improve your mood, I love it. Me and my daughter love spending the day with each other talking girl stuff. Love love love Ulta beauty.😍😍😍
Every one hear is so friendly Ive gone to other ultas and felt discouraged to go because in the past the people working there were so snotty and rude when I had questions on products at this location they approached me so nicely and were so helpful by far the best location Ive been to thank you
I was shocked to see that at there Grand Opening the store was out of stock on certain items that I was looking for. Not good for a store that just opened also I waited in a long line for over an hour to step into the store and to be told by the manager sorry there is nothing we can do for you, wow that show the poor service! they didnt even offer a courtesy discount or a gift card to compensate for the long time waiting in line.. well good to know I will not stop at this ulta no more. La Grange is the place to go where they truly care for the customer and his or her satisfaction. good luck to all...
Worst customer service ever, this was the second time I went in to shop. The first time no assistance once so ever, it was my first visit in the store with my husband. I need it a few items and didnt want to wait for it to be shipped to me. You would think once you walk in the door someone will great you and ask you if you need help. Nope, not this location I guess they still need some training to do. The second visit I did today was to shop for my mother in law, she was looking for sheamoisture baobab protein conditioner and I need it a NYX honey primer. I saw that both products I was looking for ulta had it online. I figured hey lets give the ulta store a shot again nope it was an epic fail. I walked in no help again, I got my NYX and went on searching for the Sheamoisture. Since I couldnt find it I asked one of the associated that was in the back by the salon for assistance as she was holding a product and then she specifically told me give me a minute Im looking to see where this product belongs at then I will help you out. The associate walked away from me and decided to call someone else to help me. Um, first of all all this employees at this location are freaking lazy and fat. You dont tell a customer let me find this product to re stock it and then Ill help you out. You help the damn customer not walk away and continue to restock your one product. Um hello you dont do that, worst customer service ever. Im never walking into this store at all. I rather do my shopping online and get a better deal than have to deal with these rude as associates. DONT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION....
This store is severely understaffed for the amount of traffic they drive in. I’ve been here multiple times and there always seems to be one person assisting on the sales floor, one person ringing, and the Loss prevention person in front of the store. I’ve never been to an ultra so understaffed that it makes you not want to shop there. Save yourself the trip. They clearly have to get it together.
For benefit brow only: Got my eyebrows waxed w/ benefit brow here and never again will i return. I shouldnt get my eyebrows waxed and go home and tweeze over 20 pieces of hair that were scattered around. As i was getting them done the girl was asking ppl if they needed help with something and literally stopped working on my brows to show somebody something.i literally wanted to walk out when she did that. if that was the case maybe she has the wrong position. it wil be different if u did a great job and still help ppl. but no eyebrows were horrible, service was horrible. she didnt offer to cover up or fill in or nothing. There was no one waiting after me so why the rush. i wish i remembered her name but i was so angry .
I really love this ULTA.ULTA > Sephora any day.I love how much more spacious the layout is over Sephora to be honest. The store associates arent annoying and following you around constantly like at Sephora. I am glad they allow you your space but are there to help you look for products, answer questions or offer tips and comparable products. I always go in for one thing but end up with a couple of things on my way out.
I dont know who is in charge of hiring the stylists but they girls who do hair there must be right out of beauty school. Luckily I just got a blow dry and nothing more. Will not be getting my hair done here. I will make the drive to skokie....please hire better stylists.
One day I bought a pleasure lotion. And I had the real one from Macys store. When I APPLYED the ulta lotion is not REAL, smell little SCENT and the scent went away after 30 minutes. Also bought clinique face lotion. IS NOT THE SAME. MAYBE IS IMITATION. ALSO BOUGHT A CLINIQUE EYE LINER AND GAVE ME ALLERGY REACTION. I HAD TO SEE THE EYE DOCTOR.☹ I STAY WITH MACYS.. THANKSYOUR PRODUCTS ARE FAKE...😫🤪😠
Walked in over the weekend looking for a contour palette and bronzer, was helped by Daniel, he swatched a lot of colors and helped me decide which palette would be best for my skin tone. I got home tried it on and everyone was complementing the highlighter I used that Daniel suggested! Thank you Daniel!!
My favorite place to go. Everyone here is amazing. very helpful and always look happy to be there. they have almost everything you need. great place to shop. dont go on weekends after 3pm, too busy and long lines. go during the week Monday thru Friday 10am-2pm, no line no wait.
I called on a Tuesday to make an appt. to get my eye brows done. When they answer the phone they specifically ask if you want to make a make-up or brow appt. So I said yes, I was calling to book a brow appt.I was placed on hold twice to then be told the person who does eyebrows isnt in until Friday. Why would you offer services right off the bat you cant accommodate for another 4 days?
I went to the new store on pulaski road and was disappointed to find out that 2 items I was looking for were not avaliable and was advise that the items were not on sale for purchase until 4-23-17 there for were not avaliable at the time in the pulaski store. So I drove to LaGrange Ulta and wow I found the items I was looking for and was shocked to see that the pulaski store had no direction of the product being offered to the customer. The store set up is nice but poor poor service unfortunately. It was well worth my drive to LaGrange were the service is excellent and such friendly staff. Truly disappointed in the new store! I had great expectations for the new store, but sadly thats not the case.
No one in the sales floor to help customers, check out line was long with ONLY one cashier, phone kept ringing n ringing n cashier just ignore it, like hunny multi-task, Im a former employee and i wanted to go behind the register and help the line move faster.... where were the managers!!!! Smh. Need better employees at this location
Uncomfortable or just not good experience most of the time.The Ulta employees are really rude, they follow you around pretending to be looking at some items id believe they probably were for real looking at the products in the store but you realize theyre like low-key following you around when they keep on doing it until you finally get out.Besides that, most of the time when i go in looking for certain products either my shade has ran out or the product ran out too.I have hopes of walking into the store to purchase the product i need and leave but usually end up walking out of the store with something i decided to just get to replace the product i was looking for because im sometimes in a hurry.When i pay up the cashier gives you a mean petty stare, where are their manners?Total different experience than when i have gone to Sephora.Sephora employees are nice and they at least act like they care,you ask for help finding a foundation i.e and they ask for your skin type and try different shades on you from different products so you can know the correct shade and cosmetic to buy, and if you still arent sure if to get it they give you samples which Ulta employees cant even do.Things should really be fixed.

2022-04-26This ulta beauty is one of the better locations. Its a larger store, huge sell of brands, some of which I normally only find online they had available in store. They ladies there were also very nice and helpful. The store was clean and well stocked. Ill definitely be back.

2021-08-09I like ulta. The staff was friendly and helped me pick our a setting powder. I love how they have many different price points to help everyone with different budgets. They carry many good brands. They are always having sales or coupons out. So be in the lookout. This location is pretty big and had a good amount of inventory.

2022-04-06A few weeks ago I walked into this Ulta location and was helped by Jimena. She has been on my mind ever since and every day that I wear my makeup I feel so grateful for having been helped by her. I just wanted to highlight her attentive, caring, and professional care. I am so grateful for having been helped by her on that day. I really do hope she gets recognized for her work and character. My experience at Ulta because of her customer service only makes me want to return more often.

2022-02-17YULISSA helped me out. She was awesome, professional, and was efficient. She gave me an understanding of how long I was going to be there and how much the services were going to be. I could not be happier with how my hair came out. I will keep on going to her until I’m bald. Even after my service was done she walked me to the aisle where I could purchase a shampoo which would help maintain my hair color. She is AWESOME. BOOK WITH YULISSA!

2022-04-13A few weeks ago, I walked into Ulta for a face serum. I walked directly to the Mario Badescu section. I lingered around the isle browsing through the products. I was approached by an Marisol Anaya, she kindly greeted me and asked if I found what I was looking for. She looked at the serum, and we began discussing how long, the reason why I used the product, how I discovered it, and if Ive ever used any other products. She also noticed that my face has been suffering from discoloration, acne, and dryness. I was in serious need of help. She politely asked “do you have a few minutes, I’d love to show you these products that you would enjoy,” I agreed. She introduced me to skin products called Peach and Lily, she was extremely knowledgeable in every product she recommended, she provided numerous reasons why those products are some of the best, the purposes for each, and explained how they would benefit my skin. I also mentioned to her had a tight budget, therefore, she introduced me to a smaller kit with four different products to try. At the end, I was convinced she everything she recommended was going to benefit me, I purchased everything regardless of my budget.I trusted her wholeheartedly with my need and she didnt fail me. To this day, I continue to use the products Marisol recommended. Marisol exceeded my expectations and was able to provide me with the products I needed. I never thought that I would see this type of service at an ULTA and it has encouraged me to continue to shop at the location, and continue to use Peach and Lilys products.

2022-05-13MY FAVORITE ULTA LOCATION IN CHICAGO! I really love this location, its so much better than the Michigan Ave one & the Delano court one. This Ulta location always has things that are out of stock at other locations. :)

2022-06-10Very unfortunate that I made a call for an appointment, spoke with someone and gave them my contact information. I get to the place and my information is nowhere to be found. Not even under cancellations. The young lady told me I was not even registered. I checked the number i called, and it is in fact for this location. So disappointed. Waste of my time.

2021-12-03Hopefully the store manager sees this and gives Desiree the recognition she deserves. Efficient, careful, attentive, energetic, and knowledgeable. Desiree is this and more. Every time I come to the bar and get my eyebrows done she does a fenomenal job. I have great conversations all the time with her. After my appointment she always asks if I need anything else and doesn’t have to pertain to it being about eyebrows. She helps me find the things I need like shampoos, lotions, moisturizes,etc. She’s a very well rounded person. 😊 thanks Desiree for always being amazing!
