I dont go to Ulta on a regular basis. I think their products are good but I went this time only to buy Redken products. We just had an interesting encounter with one of the employees. I wont mention names. I thought Id just share. I was with my partner, whose features are similar to a Hispanic, specially with his cap on. When we approached the cashier area, 2 employees were at the counter. There was no line, so we were just waiting to be accommodated. My partner heard one of them said something like, Why dont you help them since you speak Spanish. So the other lady asked my partner, Do you speak Spanish?, to which he replied No. I wasnt aware what was going on as my partner told me after we left the store. I did noticed though that it took a minute until one assisted us and with us asking if shes available. It ended up that the lady who assumed hes Hispanic helped us. Mypartner politely addressed her, I may look like (a Hispanic), but Im not. First of, just because of someones physical appearance, youd already assume ones ethnicity. That being said, why assume that the person wouldnt be able to speak English?Regardless, as a front liner or customer service, isnt it your job to assist the customer? Because of that assumption, I felt that it was an insult to Hispanics and an insult to my partners ethnicity as well. I dont usually make a big deal out of these things, but I just didnt expect it either. I have nothing against Ulta. I just think this should be brought up.
Got my hair cut by Kathryn yesterday, extremely happy. the store was clean, she was awesome, make u feel at ease and enjoy the experience. we had fun cutting most my hair off. and the cut is exactly wanted and very well done. she listened. she also cut my moms hair with beautiful layers. i recommend her 100%
Love the store and the selection of product. However, many employees lack customer service skills. The ladies at the register always seem to be in a bad mood. This is the second time I asked to redeem my points on my purchase and I am always told I do not have any points available to use.. so I decided to check myself and it turns out I have over 1,000 points.. so I’m really trying to figure out why they keep telling me I have none to use. What is the point of a rewards system if I can’t use them when I want to? Needless to say I will drive the extra 15 minutes and go to a different Ulta.Giving 1 star because I was greeted by a very nice Clinique sales rep
I shop this store for all my beauty needs. If you need it, they probably have it! The girls on the floor can be helpful... but not always. My last experience was wonderful however! The girl working in the Channel area really helped me figure out exactly which products would work best for me. I am extremely happy with my purchase.Be aware that this store will push you to try different products, but if you buy something get home and hate it they let you bring it back! Even after you tried it! And you can get something you want if equal value. I love that they do this!! Because sometimes you can’t tell how you feel about a makeup product for several days.I have only gotten a facial here once but they did a fantastic job!I have never had my hair done here and can’t really speak to that.
I came in on a Friday afternoon and was helped by a woman named Gabby. From the start, she greeted me with a big smile and I immediately felt comfortable to talk to her about my primary skin concerns. She was very knowledgable and confident in her line of work. I usually feel insecure talking about my skin condition and asking questions but she definitely made the whole experience great. The cashier (Kathy) was also very sweet when attending me. Great store!
Katie is the hair stylist I’ve been going to regularly for about the last 3 years to color and cut my hair. She is really good at explaining different products and ways to color hair, whether it’s root retouches, highlights, or a modified bayalage.She’s also very patient with my many questions about the coloring process. She listens and asks questions to get a good understanding of what you’re looking for. I’ve always been happy with the end result. I highly recommend her.
New location is smaller than the other one. Every sales associate asked if I needed help. Everyone was nice and the store was laid out nicely for a guy visiting ULTA. Had a manager ring me out. Very easy to sign up for the rewards card. Made my shopping easy and effortless. Thank yall for great customer service
I love this Ulta at Arlington Hghts. Good quality hair products and a great selection of everything you need. I started getting my hair colored by Lauren and she is great. I highly recommend her. I have had good luck with all stylists at Ulta as they are all very good with color, (root touch up, highlight, low light, ect.) Definitely recommend....
I love make up and I love this store. This is the go to place for my friends and I and we spent a lot of time and money here. My sister and I visited your store today and the selection is really good but the costumer service is horrible. I have never felt so disappointed and discriminated. The cashier that help us have us had really bad attitude (were Spanish/ english speaking) treat us really bad, ignored our questions, talked to us with attitude and she make sure we knew how annoyed she was to help us check out. She was simply rude, while she was so nice to some other costumers (fully english speaking consumers) try to help them even tho they were being help already. I will make sure my friends and family know about this experience so they dont make the same mistake and visit your store.
I bought the Yes to Coconut moisturizing mask from this store and as soon as I put it on I knew immediately that something was wrong. It burned after a few seconds and only got worse the longer I had it. It was painful and I had to take the mask off after less than 2 minutes. My whole face was red. I googled the mask and was shocked that almost every reviewer experienced the same painful reaction and it was rated very low. Ulta had to have known about this. I went to return it and the cashier seemed annoyed, bored, and dismissive. When I said I was concerned that so many reviewers were having bad reactions and wanted to tell management The she practically rolled her eyes. She told me she can get me the customer service number and suggested that my skin type was the problem, as she noted that the mask is MEANT for people with dry skin. Then she tried to dismiss the problem that so many customers are having strong adverse reactions upon using this product by saying that not all products work for everyone. I thought their whole resolution of the situation was terrible.I gave a star because the location is new and clean, but their staff can learn to resolve conflicts better. It doesnt involve blaming the customer and brushing off all the reviews showing how common an adverse reaction is.
Ive been seeing the Salon Manager, Katie, for several years for my cuts and colors. Katie has been knowledgeable and consultative in helping me transition from blond to fashion colors (pink, purple, teal, red, etc.) as well as various shades found in nature without sacrificing the health of my hair. Shell tell me when I need to prepare for 3-6 months for a big change so my hair will make the transition without significant damage. Shes a trusted advisor and friend.
Place has a lot to choose from in cosmetics but for me personally, its a great place for hair management (haircuts, color etc).Michelle is one of the best hair color specialists, she fixed my many shades of blonde into one beautiful color years ago, have been her steady customer ever since. Another great hair stylist is Krystal who really knows all about haircuts.
They have a good selection of stuff. That I cant complain about. But their customer service is soo bad. If you dont look like you belong there they wont even say hi. I love makeup and spend a lot for it. But when Im not going somewhere special I look like a bum. And when I go looking like that they wont even look at me. I always have to find help if I need it.
We visited your store this afternoon And were greeted by Nelli and Habba...they were Very friendly & Even helped me choose the correct color type that would work with my skin tone & took the time to help me order what I needed... thank you girls,!!! .....(don’t forget to look up the Geico commerciall About becoming your parents)😂
Store well equipped but customer service is below any average!!!! Associates are rude and unprofessional. I’ve been treated poorly many times! I also witnessed an associate being extremely rude to the client. I reported this problem to the manager but she obviously didn’t manage it well enough!I would never recommend this Ulta store !!!
Very very bad customer service..... been to this store so many times.... also refer friends before.... and took my family members with me... but definitely that’s the last time.... first they screwed up my mother in law’s hair.... and then definitely fixed it in 4 hours...... just plain solid black color.... seriously.... and they want me to pay the same amount... dunn care about others time... bad manager... Katie.... I won’t recommend this place.... definitely not going back there.... also not referring anyone... so frustrated and annoyed 😑😠
I give them those stars, for the reason that when I went to pick up an order that was sent online and the person who attended me in picking up merchandise, only attended one client and when I was going to ask for my order, he went right away speed out and tend to a client and He did not tell me to wait for it or get someone to tend heme real quick for me to wait couple mins did not apologize and it is a lack of respect as a customer of this store, I hope they pay more attention to customers, you have to have a little education and respect towards others without seeing from what origin it is person. I felt that I wanted to ran out cuz I didnt feel comfortable staying here for a bit I give them those stars, so when I went to pick up an order that was sent online and the person who attended me in the collection of merchandise , he only served a customer and when I was going to order my order, he went to serve a customer and did not tell me to wait for him and did not apologize and it is disrespectful as a customer of this store, I hope you pay more attention to customers, you have to have a little education. and respect for others without seeing from what origin he is a person. And I felt that I wanted to run I did not feel good just grab and go, do not feel comfortable
Made a purchase today. The site has information that all buyers of certain brand products receive a gift. I had two choices. I asked for a gift. The young ladies were looking for a long time, but they did not find anything for me. They said that this happens .... Question: either absolutely dishonest staff or false information on the site. Definitely, I will not return to this store and will not recommend to anyone ...

2022-03-02I don’t live around this location, however i was in the area so i just came in to get a few products. im fairly new to makeup and skin care so i was a bit nervous as i felt out of my element, but Jessica was super helpful in picking out the best products and giving me a bunch of options to chose from. definitely will be making the drive to return to this location

2022-05-03I was in the store today, I bought one item at a total of cost of $96.80. After waiting at the registers for a moment a cashier motioned me over. He kept trying to get me to register for some program. I don’t go in that store very often and don’t need more emails, texts, etc. After asking me for the third time I again said no thank you yet again. At that time he rolled his eyes looking at the employee next to him. I told him I thought that was very rude. There are many places to buy beauty products but this will not be one I patronize.

2022-07-15Lupa at the Arlington Heights did two of my friends makeup and both of their faces looked beautiful. They had reference pics and she was able to match it very closely. She was friendly and answered our makeup questions with tricks and tips. Thanks Lupa!

2022-07-15Horrible customer service by Brenda. I regularly order for pick up and this time I didn’t have my ID on me. I had my app confirmation and email confirmation. I’ve picked up at least 15x here. Didn’t let me pick up and made me go find the product in the store and pay for it again at the cash rap lol make it make sense

2021-09-13I had a salon appointment with Michelle after a bad experience at another Ulta salon location and she was incredible! She was able to transform my hair into exactly what I wanted even though I put the appointment under the wrong service! She was so nice about it though and three hours felt like less than one because she was so personable and amazing!!! I will gladly drive the extra time to come back to see her at this location!! She also recommended great products and my hair still feels as soft as it did leaving the salon!! Love her!!!!
