Took my dogs there and had a nice walk. Great place to birdwatch. One of my dogs decided to venture out into one of the creeks and the result was 11 ticks that had to be removed as soon as I got home. Other dog did not go in the water and didnt have a single tick on him. Its part of nature but just thought Id warn.

Its serene and quiet, with a stream in the background. Dont bring your dog here unless treated, its infested with ticks.

I was harrased by the forest preserve police because my Jeep had mud on it from previous 4wheeling trips. He kept accusing me of driving through the forest preserve even though I explained to him several times that I go to private offroad parks and state recreation areas specifically for off road vehicles. He demanded my drivers license even though I did nothing wrong and even pulled my friend aside to question him. This is not a good look for Kane County or the city of Elgin.

Nice park to a bridge over the creek. There is a trail that goes in a circle. Lots of picnic benches.

This place is about 5 minutes drive from Voyageurs Landing Forest Preserve ( photo I shared earlier).Tyler Creek is a tributary to the Fox River, and starts at a point very near to this place ( close to Judson University) and flows for about 11 miles or so and vanishes abruptly somewhere along Illinois Route 72 ( at least thats what the map shows). This is one of the most lovely, peaceful and quiet places that I have visited in Elgin. The footbridge in the photo runs over Tyler Creek, and there is a cute bench at the end of the bridge where you can sit and watch the water flowing :). The Creek at this point is very shallow, and from time to time, I have seen many children and even grownups get into the water and play around :) There is also a park, picnic area at this place.

This is a really great place for group events in a peaceful, natural setting. It may look small from the front but you can cross the creek to find a nice place for walking in the woods. Great for families, romantic walks, or just taking the dog out for some exercise.
