Jamiya JMy stylist does a great job each visit. We have trued several styles each came out perfect.Wash was a pleasant experience.Jamiya personality is beautiful. Was here a while back was treated very poorly by the receptionist. I was here visiting a friend who goes to school here and she was telling me during my service how unorganized the system is for taking clients and how poorly they are treated sometimes. The service was amazing but I felt such a negative energy while being checked in and out. I rate the student a 10/10 but the staff a 0/10. The place was not clean at all while changing there was a hair ball on the floor.

Receptionist I think her name is Vanessa or something similar was not very pleasant to me AND was even rude to the poor students trying to help me leave…Was a bit grossed out by her behavior and the student apologized for her…Sounded like a common occurrence of attitude if a student felt the need to apologize for a MEMBER OF STAFF…Embarrassing for the school and unprofessional.

This place was awesome! Becka (teacher on evenings), Peyton, Trina and the rest of the staff is so friendly. Becka( teacher on days) was phenomenal. She went above and beyond. My hair has always been long and I was so worried how it would turn out short. It turned out great and I love it. Thank you so much Tricoci team. I definitely recommend you and will definitely be back.

Weve always had good results here. However, today we went to get color done and they just were not open. No sign, no Facebook post, no message on their answering machine. A little frustrating.
Great place to get a cut/color if you’re looking to cut back on what it normally costs you to get your hair done. I am always willing to contribute my hair as a learning experience for a student, and I don’t mind witnessing mini coaching sessions every now and then throughout the process. The instructors help generate the approach the student will take to get the look you desire during consiltstion, and then they check in with the student during every step, giving tips and suggestions. Always a friendly atmosphere from what I’ve experienced too!
VIP program is awesome and well worth the $20 for 20 weeks with 20% off! Friendly staff, teachers and students. As a Cosmetologist myself, I enjoy supporting them. I get the scalp treatment, pedi and facials. Ive never had a bad experience. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time as students will be doing your service.
I just had a perm done by Lutrina (not sure I Have that spelled correctly), and she was fantastic. She was super fun to talk to during my appointment and if she wasn’t sure about something she always went and asked her instructor before doing anything to my hair. Since I knew this was going to be a student doing the service to my hair I knew the person might have questions or need help, but Lutrina exceeded my expectations by always keeping me updated or letting me know exactly what she was doing or what she was going to ask her instructor or classmate about. I had a great experience here and I know Lutrina is going to have a great career ahead of her!!

I got a cut and bayalage from Paige. Who she said noramally works days but was working a night shift, I am happy I was lucky to get her when I was there 😁. Everything was perfect! She offered suggestions and I went with one of them and am very happy with how it turned out. She was very personable 😊. Sometimes going someplace new can be awkward or intimidating, but there was none of that. She was a pleasure, best of luck to her!!😄😊

I like the last haircut I got,Amber does a great job,she first asks how I want it done,and writes it down-takes her time doing it. I like it there. I will ask for Amber when I return. I think she is good and maybe better than the last student I got
While I realize this is a training school, it is still a business, and it is one of the most unorganized businesses Ive ever had the displeasure of working with. **Warning: somewhat long story, but worth the read if youre planning on going here**I had gone to Tricoci a few times before to have my nails done, and it had always been just fine. Not fantastic, but not horrible, so I decided to try out their aesthetic services. I made an appointment for a facial and wax about 4 days in advance to guarantee a time slot. The receptionist scheduled my appointment for 8pm. On the day of the facial and wax, I called to confirm the appointment, and the receptionist confirmed it with a peppy, Well see you at 8 tonight! So, I show up to Tricoci about about 5 till 8, and the doors are locked.Obviously, Im confused. Then a girl (who I later found out was the receptionist) gets out of her car and asked if I was the 8pm appointment, to which I responded, Yes. She then proceeded to tell me the appointment never should have been scheduled and that it would not be able to happen that night. I asked why I didnt receive a phone call, and she claimed they could not access my number with their system. However, she told me they opened at 9am the next day, and that if I got there early, I could probably get in and out pretty quickly. At this point, Im annoyed, but still want the facial and wax.The next day, I show up at 9am. And while the doors might open at 9, they certainly werent ready for business. The receptionist hadnt started the computer or opened the cash box, and all the students either had just arrived at 9 or werent arriving till 9:30. At 9:15, I finally got checked in. Sure, I was frustrated, but I still thought I was going to get a facial.What happened next was completely unacceptable. The same receptionist from the previous night who told me to come in at 9am that day informed me there were not going to be any aestheticians at the salon that day. She told me I would not be able to get the wax at all. She said a cosmetologist could give me a very basic facial in about an hour (so 10:30am) but that it would not be the same type of facial I had booked an appointment for.While she seemed apologetic, its clear she had no idea what was going on. She did give me $20 of their bonus bucks, but honestly I dont plan on using them. The level of professionalism at the salon was dismal, and now I understand why people pay a little more to go to actual salons rather than risking it with this disappointing wild card. I do not recommend going to Tricoci, and plan on spreading the word about this horribly frustrating experience to others as well. Just because this is beauty school, doesnt mean it isnt a business as well!
Stopped in for a pedicure. The student did not perform like she had had any kind of training. She had no oversight from instructors and when she finished and got an instructor to check her work the instructor glanced down while walking by, pronounced pretty and kept walking. Never stopping to really look. The nail polish applied was spotty and color choices very limited. If I could give a minus star I would.
I went in for a loc maintenance, Rekeya was the staff who worked on my hair. She is very respectful, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about what she does. I will go back again to have my hair done .
I should have read the reviews before wasting my time on the phone with this business. I wanted to take my teenage son for a facial. When I called the first time, I was told that there wouldnt be anyone to do the facial, but I could call back and try scheduling one at a later date. About an hour later, I received a call from the school that we could come in that evening. I told the lady that I wasnt able to come in that evening and would call to make an appointment for another day.I called back about a week later to schedule a facial. I scheduled the facial for 3:45. I called on our way to confirm the appointment, and was told that they had it down for 3:30. I know how long it takes to get from my sons school to the beauty school and knew that she had written it down incorrectly. She checked to see if they could take him at 3:45. They said that they couldnt, but could we come in at 5:30! Nope, Im done.I realize its a school, but dont waste your time. If trying to get an appointment is this difficult, Id hate to see the quality of the services!
I had company in town from NC and brought them to Tricco in Peoria and was so embarrassed. I will never go there again. I realized this is a school but what made the bad haircut and mani/pedi worse was the teacher approved of the worst hair cut and mani/pedi Ive ever had.Everything in that place was junk (ie....equipment) and nothing worked! The cashier couldnt even figure out what 10% of my amount was without the help of a calculator. She spent 1/2 hour trying to do it in her head.My guest was very unhappy with her haircut.
This is Rose Taylor and I love Tricoci it is always pleasant there and fun did my hair for my 59 th birthday last June always get pedicures there and hope to experience more services monthly.It is a relaxing fun place to visit all friendly people work there.
I got a scalp treatment and it felt so nice. Peppermint oil added to the mask left my scalp feeling refreshed. Will be back for some color soon.
My hair stylist Sydney was very friendly and helped me understand the hair dying process and answered all my questions. Can’t wait to come back!

The students have access to everything that they need to succeed in the industry. There are so many opportunities for students to get a great education and hands on experience. I am a local salon owner and love hiring stylists from Tricoci.
