I experience my first and second facial with Justiss. The school has a very nice atmosphere. She talked about my diet & my concerns I have with my face. During the facial she explained everything which made me feel comfortable knowing each step. After the facial she showed me products to help with my concerns I did purchase the cleansing and a moisture for my face its been working out great. Definitely returning for my 3rd facial next month.

So happy with my experience here! Love love love the results of my hair, from a dull brown to a beautiful Ash Blonde and amazing price! I would of had to pay well over $300 at any other salon for the same results and I only paid $90 for babylights and double process! Beyond satisfied! 💗 Reja performed a miracle on my hair! I know shes gonna do amazing things in her future! The entire staff is amazing 💗

* Experience as a brand new customer *I had an appointment for balayage and I waited forever since the girl I scheduled with didn’t me on the schedule. Did a horrible job on my hair. I walked out with fizzy, dried, burnt hair. Due to what happened on their end they told me “ we don’t have time to style your hair because we are past closing.” I was so embarrassed of my hair I literally balled it up and hid it under my hat. I went home to see all the damage that was truly done. I called the next day and they told me they would fix it. When I walked in they were unorganized again with the scheduling that I wasn’t on it. The girl at the counter said that it was the girl from the previous shift. I replied that it wasn’t my fault for this and for my hair being damaged. She refused to take me. I told her not to bother because at this point because I don’t want any thing to do with this place. Definitely do not recommend. This is my first and last time going here.2 years later hair in the crown area is still recovering from all of the damaged and doesn’t feel the same. My hair growth has stunt and is very fragile.

Went to this school back in 2015 I felt that I was not properly prepared for the state board. It wasn’t a good experience at all too much drama between students & teachers. I have been trying to obtain my transcripts because I finished my school hours but have moved out of state but just get the run around. I feel I may have to take another esthetics program, if you’re thinking about attending this school DON’T!!!

I got my first facial last night and my skin still feels amazing. Justiss was completely professional and would ask if everything felt alright, making my first experience extremely pleasant!

I was unfairly terminated from my esthetics program at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Norwood Park, IL on November 15th, 2021—two days before my graduation date. On November 11th, 2021, my esthetics educator, Kelly Lyle wrongfully accused me of shoving her and calling her a profane term in an area with NO cameras, and NO form of concrete evidence proving that I assaulted her in any way. A completely accidental run-in that took place in a narrow hallway led Ms. Lyle to tell Tricoci University’s management team a falsified and dishonest story about my actions. This educator ranges anywhere from 300-400 pounds, standing at 5’5”, while I am a mere 125 pounds at 5’1”. Even if inflicting violent behavior toward this particular educator were my intent, I would have not been able to make any real dangerous impact due to the differences in our sizes and strength. Still, Ms. Lyle made claims that she felt unsafe at her place of employment, which has led to me being unable to complete my course at this campus.Since the day that I was terminated from my program, I have fought aimlessly to make sure that I could be heard by the right individuals, in order to get back into my program to complete my 20 remaining hours. Tricoci University has made this virtually impossible for me. My institutional grants were taken away from me. Before I began my schooling, my appointed financial aid advisor made sure to accommodate my low-income situation. These accommodations have been forfeited. I now am expected to pay over 3-thousand dollars out of pocket if I wish to transfer my 733 credits to a further Tricoci University campus. Let me say again, I have 20 remaining hours in my esthetics course. I have two days remaining before I reach 750 hours, which would make me a Certified Esthetician in the state of Illinois.I am the daughter of a disabled mother, living in the outskirts of Chicago, and my opportunity at Tricoci University was my personal commitment and effort to escape the poverty line and strive for better. The beauty industry is an extremely lucrative market, but more than that, it is my dream. I deserve this opportunity just as much as the next student, and just as much as this educator who continues to walk freely in her workplace after lying about my actions and hindering me of the chance to make a stable living.I am writing this statement because I have been intimidated by Tricoci University’s management team to be silent. Throughout my educational journey, I was told to be silent by multiple educators—during class lessons, and even in instances where I was bullied by fellow classmates and desperately needed support and guidance. This time, I am seeking the support of anyone who sees this. I’d appreciate if this could be shared out, to protect any future students, and relate to any individuals who have suffered this level of emotional damage by their institution.Furthermore, I am hoping that I can gain the attention of the local media, to notify Tricoci University that you do not terminate innocent students without properly investigating the incident at hand. I am highly disappointed in these circumstances, but I am not defeated. Thank you.

I loved this place ; I use to come here all the time for a cheap hair style but the workers were so good unfortunately recently I did not have a good experience. I understand this is a school and I do understand that everyone is learning but I feel like the head teacher or the person in charge on duty should make sure there is someone who can handle African American hair. That poor lady didn’t know what she was doing and I told her to never give up when things get hard. Our hair is very much so a challenge but someone should have been there at night who understands and is experienced in African American hair. It’s sad because I love this place and everyone is so nice but unfortunately I won’t be going back. It could have just been a bad night to go too

I had a great facial two weeks ago at this location and I booked a follow up facial at that time. I arrived today only to be told the spa was closed and has been closed for two weeks. I said well that doesnt make sense since I had a facial two weeks ago exactly. Then the spa closed the following week and would now be closed another week. None of this made sense and no further explanation was given. I was told that everyone who had appointments was notified. Clearly not. I was asked if I wanted to make an appointment and I said no, I got a snippy okay well have a good day, as if I was a problem customer she wanted gone. Well I am gone!
