Trader Joes in other cities:
Well stocked with wonderful varieties of high quality food at reasonable prices. Very good compliance to health standards while maintaining courteous and helpful service. Clientele also considerate of one another. Was a great shopping event after missing them for 2 years...must travel many miles to go to the closest one.
I called ahead to see if they had any Tofurkey holiday roasts in stock. The kid put me on hold to check. He came back and said they did. I drove out of my way to come here, and theyve never had them in stock this year. I will never trade at this Joes again. I am untethered and my rage knows no bounds.
I picked up some few items and the Valentines Day gifts had a ton of flowers and other items at reasonable prices. But it waskind of scary because the store was packed and people were just standing around you like the virus doesnt exist anymore not much Social distancing. People please keep your distance.
I love TJs for specific items like cheese, wine, and fewer ingredients processed foods. Employees are top notch, friendly, personable, and helpful. Store can feel tight and while not unique to this store, TJ parking lots always seem small and dangerous. Ive seen many accidents over the years. Overall, super glad to have a TJs in our community.
This was my first ever visit to a Trader Joes, and it was a lot smaller than I had thought. They did fit a lot into their small space, about the size of an old-fashioned market (and kind of the look of one, too!). The prices did not seem to be too bad, but they did not have the things I was looking for. The selection was limited to one or two brands per item type. I would have liked to have seen a bulk item section. But the store was very nice, attractive in a back-in-time sort of way, well laid out, and conveniently small enough to browse quickly.
Ive been shopping here ever since they opened! They always have yummy new products to try, but also dont phase out the staples I only buy here. They also donate their near expiring food and flowers to local food pantries and non profits, a truly amazing store for our community!
It was one in- one out crowded. Carts were wiped down, employees all wore masks appropriately. Three (of the many) customers felt their mask was best work under their noses instead of over them, but overall, people were considerate and careful.Trader Joes seems to do their part.
The selection was limited to one or two brands per item type. But the store is always very nice, clean, well stocked, nice lay out, and conveniently small enough to browse quickly. Helpful friendly employees. Wish they had a closer location but still worth the hour drive. I highly recommend the mango bars here
Trader Joes has a range of groceries that endeavors to be more ecologically acceptable such as grass fed beef. That said, packaging may still be considered problematic, but USDA regulations may force their hand on this!Great selection of wines at reasonable prices and small selection of beers.Friendly and helpful staff.
Happy I finally checked this place out. Variety, quality and service is what Trader Joes offers customers. I found a lot of unique items here and enjoyed the shopping trip which I dont usually like to do. Really glad I checked this store out based on a friends recommendation.
A little confused as to why they have somethings in non dairy and not other things on the same shelf. I tried to look for another item and since they only had 4 aisles I didnt even know where to start looking. I have not found that I absolutely need to go to Trader Joes for anything. I have better luck finding things at other stores. Not quite sure what the craze is about. I leave more frustrated than I entered optimistically in.
Love some of the products in this store. I Create some interesting meals using items from the frozen food section. So make the main dishes myself and get side dish items like spring rolls or dumplings here. Their Indian food items are expanding now which is pretty cool considering how hard they are to find out this from The City.
I love this store but the last couple of times Ive gone I cant find a cart. I loaded up a basket with as heavy as I could carry and wouldve gotten more but there was no one around to assist me. Unless I put everything thing down on the floor and walked outside I could not get anything else. Next time Ill try to remember to grab a cart from outside but the few times Ive gone there because its 45 minutes from my home town I just walk in there thinking Im just going to grab a few things but then I want this and I want that but I end up not getting as much as I would have.
Going to Trader Joes is always an adventure - but not in a bad way at all. So much of the store is heavily dependent on seasonality so you cannot go in expecting to find the same things each time. But they have really unique products they come out with each month - you can check them out in store or in the fearless flyer. The only thing I havent had great luck with at this store is the brick cheese. Not matter what the sell by or consume by date is, the cheese always starts going moldy (moldier than it should be) in a week or two. Other than that, I like browsing the store and seeing what new products they have brought to the shelves.
I love this store. This area drastically needs more stores like this. When you buy food from here and any other store, continue to read the labels because you never know when one of the brands they carry added a ingredient that may not be healthy or give side effects. However, the store itself carries a lot of items you would want from a TJs and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
I love love Trader Joes and frequent the store by my home town in Glen ellyn. I tried this location as its closest to my boyfriend and is apartment. I had a pleasant experience shopping and all employees were very kind and helpful. However, we purchased tortillas, a sour dough loaf and wheat bread. The sourdough loaf was moldy within 24 hours, the tortillas in 4 days and the wheat bread less than a week. I verified the expiration dates and they all were up to date. I was so disappointed because I emailed the branch asking for a reimbursement with pictures and no response. I wont be shopping at this branch again unfortunately.
I can do a majority of my grocery shopping here. Frozen foods, snacks, bread, eggs, some produce and some staples. Produce department is very small, I go to woodmans down the street. Employees are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes they do run out of items and rearrange the shelf/freezer to exclude them until they come in again, feel free to ask them questions, they are happy to help. There usually is a paper in their foyer called the Fearless Flyer showing their seasonal foods and other promotions. It is very nice to shop a store where you can buy most of your groceries without walking what seems miles to get it done. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a sample of a currently promoted item, located in the back aisle.
I purchased a box of Trader Joes Molasses Cookies on 08-18-20 at the Algonquin store. I tried a cookie when I got home, only to find that they were very stale! The expiration date on the cookie box is 08-19-20, so for full price, I bought a box of stale cookies that expired the very next day. The cookies should have been pulled from the shelf and given to the nearby food pantries or hugely discounted. Very disappointed in the Trader Joes name.
I love Trader Joes. Yesterday the young man in the wine section was very helpful with suggestions for organic chardonnays. The only bad thing about Trader Joes is that its hard to leave with just a couple of items. We always stock up because its a 40 minute trek to get there.
TRADER JOES frozen meals are leaps and bounds ahead of regular grocery stores. They are all natural ingredients and there is flavor in the food.I became unaware of how much frozen meals from Jewel have fallen behind until I bought Lean Cuisine it was like eating nothing.HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRADER JOES
Tons of organic tasty treats in this tropical themed store. they have all sorts of everyday grocery items and Trader Joe specific brands. Some are seasonal like the dill pickled popcorn and many year round items. Their pretzel roll is the first thing I grab when I walk into the store. A simple personal pretzel roll for a DOLLAR. I usually get a few and toast them to have a nice warm treat. they have great sauces for spaghetti and their noodles are great too. If you need dessert or treats for a party, the next aisle is gonna be your best friend. Dark chocolate peanut butter cups (tastes much better than reeses). The pretzel with peanut butter inside and the chocolate covered are great. Ice cream sandwiches, frozen bananas, popsicles, and a lot more light fat free ice creams for those who still want to have a treat and not go overboard. The cookies, they must have over a dozen different kinds of cookies it would make Cookie Monster very happy. The chocolate chip dunkers are great for dipping in milk and coffee. The JoJos series are like oreos and come in vanilla, chocolate, mango, and peppermint flavors. My favorite are the Maple Leaf cookies. They have a great selection of frozen foods like pizza mexican asian italian foods and seafoods after that. They have a grand choice of chips to choose from potato to tortilla chips to vegetable chips which keep me coming back for more. Boxes and bags line the wall with dried fruits and nuts for the healthier alternative and flows right into the alcoholic beverage area wines vodka whiskies and beer pale ale which has a pick 6 option to try mulitple kinds of beer great for gifts or for parties. At checkout shelves or screamer shelves, have the best chocolate bars and mouth popping candies to buy. They have a gummy candy far more superior to the swedish fish. It has been very hard for me to go back and get swedish now that I have discovered the Trader Joes brand. Their chocolate bars are delicious. and keeps me coming back for more.

2022-05-19This place always has a fun variety of products that you dont find anywhere else. The flowers by the front door look great, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is that sometimes a product that I really like gets discontinued, and since its an exclusive to Trader Joes, I cant find it anywhere else.

2022-01-04The employees here are always so friendly and helpful! I asked about a specific seasonal item. The worker checked where to would normally be and said they were out. She found us a few minutes later and gave us an expected restock date. Wow! I was so grateful for her helpfulness! Cashiers always have conversed with us. It’s a great feeling to shop here.

2022-05-08Why are they jacking up their prices up more! They never used to be this way. I use to shop at traders all the time but now its difficult to shop here because of the inflation prices, my God the price inflation I know Covid-19 hit but my Lord in heaven dont hit our pockets we still have to pay bills.

2022-04-17Experienced staff when asked for vegan frozen desserts. Love that so many labels are marked vegan rather than me having to read all the labels like other stores.
