Positive: Good safe location convenient to Interstate highways. Clean and quiet room. Negative: Expected true suite with TV area separate from sleeping area. TV channel selection reqd paging though entire listing to select channel rather than a paper listing and ability to enter the channel number. TV would go toplease wait for extended periods.
Awesome staff.Decent breakfast.Dark enough rooms, but so near the highway, that the road noise would keep a light sleeper from a full night of sleep.Pool and work-out room open.Masks available for the sheep.Super clean.Easy accessibility, multiple ADA parking spaces at every door. Good grassy area around the hotel for dogs, and everything youd need to clean up after them.I would have been comfortable in the suite for a week. Just enough room to completely unpack, and still not feel cluttered. The grills at the pool deck are a great way to cook, and socialize with other guests.
I had a really wonderful experience at this hotel. I came for a family reunion and the place really has everything you could possibly need along with lots of outdoor spaces when you want to hang out outside of your room. There is also a nice little Pond nearby that is just big enough for a morning walk and the staff here really go above and beyond to help you. For example last night I had some medicine delivered here from Walmart plus and it accidentally went to the wrong room. The hotel actually sent someone to the local drugstore to pick up what I needed free of charge and you just dont see that kind of service around anymore, so I really wanted to take a moment here and come in just how good this hotel is. I felt more taken care of here than I would have at an overpriced five-star hotel, and I really appreciate that.
We arrived a couple hours after midnight. We were welcomed with a smile and friendly greeting. After 12 hours traveling we called for a room on our return trip, the Marriott staff was very helpful to us to get us a room again. In the morning they assisted with breakfast. The front desk treated us with politeness and the billing was done accurately. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay at this hotel. Wonderful staff and wonderful rooms!
I should have wrote this at the time of my stay, but better late than never. The room was clean and comfortable. I generally keep the DND sign on the door when I stay for multiple days and the staff was very accommodating with refreshing my towels. Front desk was helpful pointing out a few places to eat.
This hotel give you a feeling like your at home. Its close to the expressway. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a convience store in the lobby. Theres a hot breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and fully stock. My only complaint was the carpet in my room needed a deep cleaning. Other than that my stay was great
I’ve been coming here for a few years now and the common areas are always SPOTLESS!.... Cheryll at the desk is the best front desk lady ever, but they’re all usually wonderful and the breakfast lady always works vey hard and it shows. I wish that the options for food and beverage were a little better. The “7-11” selection is ok but a few nicer wines and im not saying get rid of don’t get rid of but, little less junk food would be a nice change replaced with nicer quality, I’ve been suggesting better sheets/linens here forever. Time for change. I know it’s not the Ritz Carlton but those sheets are sometimes like crape paper.
Phenomenal service from check-in to check-out! Covid safety measures in place and being recognized. We felt welcome and safe. It snowed overnight and one of the staff was outside not only shoveling/de-icing the walkways and parking lot but was brushing accumulated snow off the vehicles of hotel patrons! Thank you for another outstanding stay!
We were here for a wedding and the check in and out process was nice. Our room had a kitchenette to it which was nice, but it did make the space feel smaller with the pull out sofa which we had. We had 3 people in our room. The room itself was clean and bed nice. The bathroom was fine. I did enjoy the breakfast area which nicely done. The area which they serve breakfast was sort of small so it could get congested if it was busy. A decent selection of food items.
Probably one of the nicest stays I have had in the last 6 years. The staff go way beyond nice. I felt at home here. The hotel is in excellent condition and very clean very well maintained. I cant stress how safe and cozy this place is. I highly recommend this hotel for any stay very kid friendly and very family friendly as well but was also quite. Also internet is good speed got my work done while the kido played his game.
Dropped the ball regarding wedding plans. Rooms we’re not ready and people relate to the wedding. Mother of the groom was very late because she had no room to check in and get her clothes on. She missed the shuttle, had to arrange her own ride in the wedding started 40 minutes late
Seriously the nicest people ever staffed at this hotel. We arrived around 8pm and the front desk made sure received complimentary cookies. The room was very and I like how it flowed from mini kitchen to sofa, room then bathroom. The room was perfect for a late dinner with small tables. The room was dark quiet. The breakfast staff was super nice and the food was simple, hot and good. I would definitely stay here again.
AMAZING in town stay! If we were treated this wonderful and we were local you can only imagine what out of towners will feel like!! The pool was perfect for my girls birthday stay! The staff were warm and inviting and loving and very personable. The rooms were beyond cozy. The breakfast was better than any breakfast I could’ve served the girls!! Overall beyond my expectations!
I loved staying at this hotel. The colors of the lobby were super fun. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our room was SOO CUTE AND COMFY. The rooms have a little kitchenette, equip with a dishwasher. The room had two super comfy beds and a really stylish couch. It had a built in desk. Honestly I could have lived in it like a studio apartment. Really cool. They had a great pool and hot tub as well as really good coffee! They also had a great snack area in case you were hungry when you got in at 2:00 am like we did. This was one of my favorite hotels out on the road.
My husband and I stayed overnight with our dog during a long roadtrip and were looking for a clean and safe hotel near I-80. This hotel exceeded our expectations - it was extremely clean, the area was safe, and the hotel staff couldnt have been friendlier. The breakfast was fantastic and had plenty of filling options. As this is a roadtrip we make frequently, we will definitely make this location a regular stop!
We are a band on tour and stayed here after playing a gig in Chicago. It was only a 45 minute drive out of the city, and the staff made check in super easy. Rooms were clean and quite, safe area, and very comfy beds to get us some sleep before hitting the road the next day. Hot tub, pool, hot breakfast until 10. Would definitely recommend if youre passing through!
We went to another hotel that was not pet friendly, they recommended TownPlace Suites and called them for us they had a vacancy and definitely pet friendly. We weren’t expecting much but to our surprise it was the best stay ever. Very clean, front desk staff was on point, it smelled fresh and the room was was phenomenal. As usual I checked bed sheets, checked for dust, bugs and etc. looked under sofa cushions and thoroughly went through the bathroom. We travel without making reservations at least 4 times a year on non-holidays. The breakfast was great and the entire area was clean, staff was there making sure. Thank you for a great stay❤️
Great stay! We needed something inexpensive, but clean and comfortable and within an hour from Chicago. This is about 45min from the city and is also close to Starbucks and other shops. When you walk in you see a bunch of rubber duckies, which makes for a nice surprise when you walk in your room too!Such nice rooms, so clean, great kitchenette, but you wont need to cook with a fantastic free breakfast. There’s a calendar of stuff to do on the fridge and a great pool too.
Really enjoyed our experience. We called ahead and were able to check in early which allowed us to rest before heading to the show! The rooms had a large refrigerator, stove top and dishwasher! Top it off with some comfy beds and this group couldn’t be happier. Thanks to staff for being so welcoming. We’ll be back soon!
My family just sold our home and needed a place to stay in the interim until the close of the other home. We drove further out to stay here and I could not have made a better decision. I read the reviews before booking this temporary stay and I made a good decision. The staff from the managers to front desk to the housekeepers and maintenance is what makes the Joliet South a special place. They made our familys stay not only an enjoyable one but they were welcoming to us from the minute we walked through the sliding door all the way and past until we left to move to the new home. They make you feel welcome, they care, they handle issues immediately and the hotel is immaculate. They keep the rooms, hallways, pool area and grounds very clean and sanitized. The breakfast as stated by other reviews is great and plentiful. We love the fruit kept throughout the day for the guests and the entire ambiance. I want Marriott Management to know that the people who work there - all of the ladies and the guys is making the difference everyday in peoples lives as they stay at the Joliet South. Please value the team that is working there, we appreciated them during a very stressful time in my familys life between two homes....The staff make the difference at Joliet South. Special people work here and please recognize that people not things make the difference in terms of service. It is one of the best we have experienced!!!! Please value the remarkable work they are doing on a daily basis for the guests that stay there.....
This is a great motel, under the ownership of Marriott, the flagship of Quality.Reservations and the front desk people were very courteous and friendly and accommodating. Our room and amenities were outstanding. While located close to many great local venues and just off Interstate 80, the to was surprisingly quiet, providing a sound, full nights sleepFree breakfast was hot, with lots of healthy choices, including protein! The pool was very clean and kid friendly and well attended. The staff was also very friendly and always ready to assist
This TownePlace Suites was a very nice place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised. It was our first experience with this Marriott line. The associates were super nice and very accommodating! The pool was nice and clean as was our suite and any of the other parts of the motel we were in. The complimentary breakfast was ok. Would like to have had a breakfast meat and some hot type eggs instead of or in addition to biscuits and gravy. Overall, we will definitely look for a TownePlace Suites for our future travels.
Great quality hotel. The front desk employee was friendly and welcoming despite us arriving late at night. The lobby and room were clean, modern, and spacious. The room had two very comfortable queen beds and a pull out couch that was able to sleep our fifth person. The room also had a nice kitchenette area with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The bathroom was spotless and there was even a cute rubber duck in the shower. There was a gym, pool, and simple breakfast provided in the morning. Overall this was a safe, clean, and wonderful place to stay.
I reserved the room online. I was under the impression that I booked a 2 bedroom suite. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist gave me my key and I proceeded to my room. Upon entering, I noticed 2 queen beds and no separate bedroom. I went to the front desk and explained that I reserved a different room. She looked at my reservation and informed me that I did not reserve the room that I thought I did. She checked to see if a 2 bedroom suite was available and it was. Although it cost more, I took the room. We went up to the room only to be greeted by the horrible stench of stale cigarette smoke. It was disgusting. We tried to open a window but found that the windows do not open. We ended up going to Walmart to get candles and sprays to mask the smell. We informed the front desk of the smell and they offered to send up people who can fan out the room. We said ok, but Im not sure if they came up or not. The front desk woman also credited us a night due to the smell. The smell was really bad and I worried about smelling like cigarettes because I know how that smell sticks to people and clothes. We avoided our room as much as possible. The bathroom walls had white stuff smeared on it and the door had dirty hand prints. The bathroom wasnt gross but could use a little wall and door scrubbing. The fitness center did not have anything to wipe the machines down with which is kind of gross. The staff at the hotel were great. Everyone we came into contact with was very kind, helpful, and cheery. The staff was the saving grace to our visit. If it wasnt for them, we would have been very unhappy guests.
Chicago is a very fun city to visit, but this hotel was an amazing respite during the travel from the city. Upon arrival there I noticed that the parking lot was large enough to accommodate all of the hotel’s guests. The lobby was very inviting and staff very friendly. Our room had ample space and a well designed layout. All of these features made for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
THE entrance was clean and neat, the front desk staff immediately made me feel welcomed and offered cookies and fruit to the travelers. My room reservation was there and my room on the forth floor was ready as promised. The room temperature was cool right where I like it. and I slept good all night long.My only comment was i wish the microwave clock light could have been adjusted (dimmed down a bit) but overall I slepy well.thank you
We stayed 2 nights during a family memorial for our grandmother. We had several rooms and grandchildren in tow! The staff were amazing. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and went out of there way to not just DO THEIR JOB but to go BEYOND expectations. There were so many little things that they did to make you feel welcomed from the moment you walked in the door. It is very clean, beds are super comfortable with bed coverings that are comfortable, white, and washable so they feel clean! Suites are well stocked and I will be honest I dislike indoor pools but this one is open, airy, full of sunshine and very clean. It is also quite soundproof. We had the room closest to the pool and we could hear nothing! I travel alot for meetings and pleasure and this is a place definitely worth the price!
I stayed at the Town Place Suites Marriott this past weekend, and had a lovely stay! The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast selections were delightful! I miss my daily waffle. The pool was also a bonus, and dipping into the whirlpool was just the ticket for these weary bones. I would definitely stay here again!
I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff was welcoming from the time we walked in, pleasant during our stay and very personable. They accommodated my family for my nieces wedding beautifully. Check in was a breeze and no extra fussy unnecessary fees presented at the last minute! It was great and I would certainly return!!Rhonda
We had a very nice experience staying at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Joliet. Having the fully stoked kitchen in the room was a super bonus. The bed was comfortable and I slept well as it was a quiet room and the temperature was just right. I loved the rubber duck in the bathroom and the chocolates left for us by the bed. I will definitely stay here again next time Im in the area and recommend it.
From the very clean premise to the iced lemon water, I cant say enough great things about this hotel & we travel about 6 times a season for go kart races. Being a pet friendly hotel that actually is surprising being it stays clean and order free. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Housekeeping keeps the hotel super clean and respectful to privacy. For being so close to the freeway, it was peaceful & quiet inside. The hot tub was the best we have had, like a massaging bubbly type of tub, felt great after a long day. They keep iced cold lemon water in the lobby, was up grabbing a cup of that when I could. Very nice touch. The breakfast was a little late to start on Sunday morn, average to above average on items offered for a Continental. Cant thank Jordan enough for handling our room mix up and helping me move to a DBL queen room. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, truly hospitable. The beds, of course, are the Marriott best & wraps up the stay as incredible as one would expect from a Marriott.Thank You & we will be back. Highly recommend to others who are in the area, this is the best and priced competitively.
Wonderful hotel! My kids love the indoor swimming pool with hotel provided pool toys, the hot tub was refreshing, the rooms were very clean, and breakfast was delicious. They had gluten free cereal for those that need it and a variety of breakfast foods. The pool had toys provided. The staff were friendly and kind.
Spent one night at this location, along with family members, for a funeral. Hotel provides a home away from home feel, comfortable, clean and small kitchenette which we used during our stay. Beds were comfortable, not firm enough for me but did not interfere with a good nights sleep and the lightweight coverings were enough for those ladies having their special moments. Wish the television screens were larger but the channel selection was very good. Carpeting was clean, looked new and unit well maintained. McDonalds, a pizza restaurant,Cracker Barrel and BP Station are all within walking distance. There is a Burger King and 7-11 store across the street. I cannot say enough about the professional, wonderful and knowledgeable front desk staff and their genuine concern for our comfort. We received warm smiles and a welcome from all three ladies upon our arrival. I cannot effectively rate the complimentary breakfast because we arrived 1/2 hour before closing time and selections were sparse or non-existent. Our request for eggs were granted, coffee, hot tea and fresh fruit is always available. Did not use WIFI (forgot cord) so cannot rate and parking is plentiful. Area feels very safe.
PROS:Nice floor plan, great staff, very convenient.CONS:-Walls/Insulation is pretty thin. At one point I though someone opened my room door because it sounded so loud. -Cleanliness could have been a little better. My family found old food in the microwave and the tub in my room didnt drain properly when showering. What really saved them is the open floor plan and staff that did everything they could to make things right. I would recommend it and stay at another TownePlace suite.
My wife and I stayed at Townplace Suites by Marriott in South Joliet on 1-4-21. We had a superb experience- ultra clean, friendly, and very reasonable in cost. The hotel staff were extraordinary. Cherrel, Brenda, and Jonathon(engineer) were so helpful and welcoming. We would stay again without hesitation.John F. Cotant
Very clean room! The carpet had no stains not even lint! The bathroom was spotless! The tub even sparkled! Serious! The Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating from when we walked in to when we left 2 days later. A little bonus was some discount coupons on some local restaurants. The morning breakfast was hot and plenty of it! Our king bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet.
So this was the worst Marriott we have ever stayed at. It was clean. Thats it. We had to use our shoulder to open the door. As soon as we stepped in the dank smell was horrible. You had to use force to close the bathroom door. The trim at the bottom was sticking up from the floors. Light bulbs were out by the bed. AC WAS LOUD. I will cancel my rewards card if we ever land in another Marriott like this.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable, clean, friendly staff, and very nice amenities. I visited during the pandemic and everything was VERY CLEAN!The 2-room suites (kitchen, livingroom, bedroom, bathroom) just had a very nice floor plan to the room with kitchen overlooking the living room, conference style dining roomtable, multiple closets, unique furniture just made the room feel so spacious! I had everything I needed and more (except a hot meal because of pandemic). Even the guest laundry facility had multiple washers and driers costing only $1 for each.
Friendly staff, beautiful rooms! We had our dog with us, and the front desk staff loved on him, and gave him a treat. They made us feel welcome. The room is beautiful and clean. There are lots of pillows on the bed and the blankets look clean and crisp. We had the romance package, and there were champagne flutes and champagne. There were flowers and chocolates all over the room. It was a great surprise. I will definitely stay here again next time Im in town. 😊
Every staff member, from the reception staff to the maids, was very friendly and welcoming. I can honestly say that I have never seen such a uniformly pleasant staff at a hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean, a rarity in a hotel of any price range. It was great to have the appliances (refrigerator, stove, toaster, etc.) that a suite provided. Our dog was allowed to stay with us for a small fee, and the staff spoiled her with treats.
This is a wonderful hotel that I wish we would have had more time to spend at. Our van and trailer got stuck in the snow on I-55 and we had to wait on a wrecker to pull us out. Having said that, the staff member working the night shift was super fast and helpful in getting us checked in at 4am. She also switched our rooms around to accommodate our special needs – and she even offered us an unheard of late check out – 3pm – which I wish we could have accepted but we had to get on the road. I was really pleased that this hotel had multiple washers and dryers that were in great working order – laundry day was a week ago and sometimes it’s hard to get a load finished on a time constraint with limited facilities. Loved the in-room full kitchen with real plates, cups and silverware which we would have utilized with more time but we opted for the generous hot complimentary breakfast instead. This is a very large property with plenty of parking for big vehicles. When we arrived the snowplow had already started to clear the lot – BUT if we did get stuck again, this hotel would have been the perfect spot. I’m planning a trip back to this property on my next tour. A+
A great place to stay in Chicago. Very large and comfortable rooms. Sheryl at the front desk was extremely helpful. The continental breakfast provided lots of options even for some with dietary restrictions. Great amenities, spacious shower and bathroom. All around great place to stay.
Very clean, spacious, bright and cute! Not sure I’ve ever used cute to describe a hotel before but IT WAS. Bright colors and flattering lighting are a nice touch when you’re exhausted and feeling like an old suitcase. Our room was as big as my house and had a complete kitchen in it!! There was an office area, living room with modern, stylish furniture, and two big glorious beds with lots of pillows. I wish I had the huge closet in the bathroom at home. Here’s the clincher for “cute:” a little rubber duck in a costume sitting atop a stack of clean washcloths.
One of my favorite places I’ve stayed in/around Chicago and Joliet. Fantastic and spacious rooms. We got in a little late after a night in Chicago and the staff were extremely accommodating. Sheryl at the front desk was extremely helpful and incredible kind. Great amenities (dishwasher, fridge, snacks), spacious shower and bathroom. Absolutely loved the beds and blankets. The little rubber duck in the bathroom is a nice touch and put a smile on my face. Cool outside patio. All in all, great place to stay on a trip to Joliet/Chicago.
This hotel is very convenient, right off of the highway. Room rates werent bad. Staff very nice and personable! Full kitchen is excellent for long stays or people on special diets. Beds were comfortable although the sleeper sofa could use a little newness. Ive been staying at Marriott Hotels for years and I appreciate the space and free breakfasts!!
Accused me of smoking in room when hallway smells like cigarettes and I dont even smoke . Unhappy w service was very rude . Only the cafeteria lady was nice but was blamed for something I dont do. Expected it to be more.cleaner looked old carpet need deeper cleaning expecting more for marriott
This hotel has everything I need for getting to bed, going to sleep, and getting ready for the work day when I get up. The staff is on top of things. The rooms are very clean and in excellent repair. I am pleased with how quiet the rooms are. The blinds are very good, too. The HVAC is very noisy when it cycles on, so I turn it off after bringing the room to temp. The breakfast bar coffee is bearable, but there is no real half-n-half available. For the rate I paid, better coffee and real half-n-half would make my day. The breakfast bar has fresh, good-quality food, which made me feel good and not sick (I have felt sick on the breakfast at other places). A now-retired colleague of mine used to stay here for weeks at a time when he had local business obligations, and I would, too, if it came to that.
We checked in without a reservation. When we got to the room, there was a minor problem relating to housekeeping. Our concern was whether the room had been double-booked. When we checked at the front desk, the two ladies apologized, assured us it was not double-booked, and were super accommodating. They even made special arrangements for a delayed checkout the following day to meet our needs. The room was nice and surprisingly quiet considering its location near I-80. Convenient, pleasant and super service with smiles!
Lovely hotel with caring staff. The folks at the front desk are friendly while maintaining professionalism. We chose this hotel because for a small fee it allows dogs, and we had brought our puppy with us. The desk provided a cute doggy welcome kit! Breakfast provided a limited choice of foods, but the area was clean and the dining area is pretty nice.
So many good things about this hotel. We absolutely loved our stay here. Incredible, friendly staff. Very clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Full sized fridge, microwave, coffee pot and small kitchen with plates and flareware, pots and pans. Desk / office area. Bathroom with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner (and a rubber ducky!). Great indoor pool area and hot tub with adjoining outdoor patio / lounge area with a grill for guest use. Easy access laundry (30 minutes per load) with detergent for sale but there were bottles for communal use as well in the laundry room. Really great coffee in the lounge area — like, exceptional drip coffee. We arrived late after a show and the staff accommodated our late checkout request. This is a great hotel for couples, families, groups & would highly recommend for short or longer stays. Helpful notes everywhere, including a calendar of events (saw there are sometimes food truck Fridays). An hour outside of Chicago — convenient for getting beyond city traffic and parking.
I stayed here with my fiancé for two days for a friends wedding. The room was incredible, so much so that we talked about how we wished we had an apartment like it! The internet was fast, the bed was comfortable, the shower had great pressure, and the kitchen was a godsend. The pool area was pretty busy but nobody was in the gym which was great, and the staff could not have been any nicer. I loved that there was always fruit out and my only complaint is that Im vegan and wish there was more options at breakfast (but I encounter this at every hotel, and for everyone else the selection is more than enough).
We traveled 12 hrs from Canada to get to TownPlace Suites Joliet, Il for my daughters hockey tournament and when we checked in we were greeted by one the most friendliest front desk manager we have ever encountered. Her passion and love of her work did not go unnoticed. Over our 3 day stay at the hotel, everyone treated us like family and made our stay very enjoyable. Clean rooms, great staff and good complimentary breakfast. And to top it all off we won the Chicago Girls U19 Hockey tournament. Keep up the great work.
Excellent customer service. We would definitely stay there again. The staff strive to ensure a great stay. However, they do need another waffle maker at breakfast. The mix was too thick. The Orange juice concentrate needed more water. Otherwise, everything else was lovely.
My husband and I just spent 6 days at the TownePlace Suites in Joliet. We were having major dental work done with a local dentist and the hotel was recommended by our dentist. The hotel was beyond fabulous in making sure that we had everything we needed to recover from our surgery. They were upbeat, cheerful and actually seemed HAPPY to be at work - a real novelty these days. They were friendly yet professional. The room was fabulous. It didnt feel at all like a hotel room but more like a studio apartment I was renting that was fully furnished. The kitchen was well equipped which for me was a huge bonus as I had to prepare all soups and juices for the days we were there as eating solid food was out of the question. I had brought my blender but otherwise, I had everything I needed. The fridge was full-size which I also appreciated. There was plenty of storage and the room was comfortable and well laid-out.We are back in November for more dental work and I am thrilled to be staying again at the TownePlace Suites. I now am looking at other times over the next year when similar accommodations will be needed in other cities and after this experience, TownePlace Suites will be the first place I look.
The staff members were amazing, calling us to let us know we had left a shirt and then shipping it to us. They let us store our ski bags in their office overnight and were just overall very accommodating. Customer Service! The hotel itself is very clean with many amenities. They had breakfast out at 6 a.m. even though it said 7 a.m., which was wonderful as we had two early mornings.
We had a great stay at this hotel. We paid the military rate. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for a family of four. Although we stayed in a pet room, we couldnt tell any pets had ever been there. That is a true testament to the cleanliness of this hotel. The staff were amazing. They were always extremely friendly and helpful. My children loved the pool and breakfast areas. My wife made full use of the fitness center. All were pleased. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future. Again, overall it was a great experience.
Many thoughtful touches throughout. Clean establishment, and very personable, friendly staff. Located conveniently near highway, but you wouldn’t know as the rooms are quiet with minimal road noise. A little outdated in appearance, but very clean and comfy with all the essentials. Paul Mitchell toiletries provided, as well as an average continental breakfast included with stay.
The room was spacious, bed was comfy and clean however the room we stayed in had a horrible smell. I was dissapointed with the breakfast, the eggs, bacon and potatoes were not good at all. Luckily they had other stuff like yogurt, waffles, etc. Overall it was a comfortable stay.
Our cousin and his bride had suites set aside at TownePlace Suites Joliet South for their wedding. We had a wonderful stay and the price was very reasonable. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and practical. The kitchenette was great and included a microwave, dishes and a dishwasher, a two-burner stovetop, and a small apartment-sized refrigerator. We greatly enjoyed the indoor pool and complimentary breakfast. Every staff member that I encountered - from the front desk, to the maids, to the maintenance staff checking the pool water - was friendly and helpful. The room and entire hotel was clean and attractive. I plan to make another trip to the Chicago area in order to enjoy staying at this lovely hotel again!
This is my favorite place to stay. Nothing compares to the the AMAZING staff. They ALWAYS are welcoming and provide superior customer service. The hotel is very clean inside and out. Breakfast is great. They have something for everybody. Always a great day when I start my day waking up at the Townplace!!! HIGHLY recommend staying here..
I have a family of 5 and I enjoyed staying at the hotel. It is both a nice hotel and a nice area. One of the TVs wasnt working in my room. When I let the front desk know while I was checking out, they gave me a $25 gift card for the inconvenience. I appreciate that. I also left a few pieces of clothing in the hotel room. I was extremely excited that the hotel not only had them, but they were willing to send them to me at no additional charge. This is the type of courtesy that makes me want to keep coming back.
The staff are great! Always so friendly to my toddler! They have a nice clean pool and great breakfast! We have been here for 2 months down do to work travel and I love the fact they have a kitchen in the rooms! It makes it so much easier not having to go out everytime I want to eat! Definitely wonderful for extended stay!
I usually stay two to three times a year at the TownePlace Suites in Joliet, IL. It serves as a perfect place for me to meet with my clients. The suite provides a professional image for my client to come and visit. I know it will always be clean. The kitchen area is perfect for serving snacks and refreshments. I use the desk area with the shelves to set up my product displays. Having the bed in a separate room is important to me with clients visiting. The location of the hotel being right off of Interstate 80 makes it very convenient for my clients. The breakfast is delicious with a great verity of items. The staff is always warm and friendly, I would recommend the TownePlace suites for business trip or even a couple/family get away. RR Mt. Vernon IL
Staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was a nice perk. The Otis Spunkmeyer cookies fresh out of the oven were fantastic (and free). Having a full refrigerator and freezer, 2 burner stove, microwave and cookware is awesome since I did not want to eat out every night. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had a nice soaking tub and access to the closet. Overall it was an incredible stay, as it felt like I was at home. I would highly recommend the TownePlace suites and will make it my preferred choice for travel.
This is a great hotel for your stay in Joliet, IL. The rooms were excellent, with comfortable beds and a full kitchen area with a dishwasher, fridge, sink, and sets of utensils, cups, mugs, etc. The bathrooms and showers were really nice as well! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and parking was ideal for our big sprinter van. Also, there’s a 24 hour laundry room, which was really nice as well. Look no further than the TownePlace Suites when looking for a hotel in Joliet, IL!
My wife and I could not have been more pleased with our stay at TownePlace Suites Joliet South! I was there for (7) weeks straight on business, and I can truly say that it could not have been better experience! Without this team of amazing people, my stay wouldnt have been as bearable and enjoyable. Every staff member brought a smile, a warm welcome each day, and a genuine concern for the comfort of my stay. The room was kept very clean, breakfast was always tasty and ready to go,and the fitness area and pool were more than adequate to get some exercise! By the time I left, it was really hard to say goodbye, because everyone had become like family! You will NOT be disappointed with your stay!
Fantastic hotel all around! We had a king suite with a pullout bed and kitchenette. It was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable, with nice thoughtful touches, candy and a rubber duck in the room (pics below). The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I left my pillow and they are graciously sending it to me free of charge. I swear there were bowls of fruit around every corner for the guests to enjoy. Lemon-infused water and coffee available seemingly 24/7. Breakfast spread was good with mini egg cheese omelettes, sausage, potatoes, waffle, cereal, etc. Pool and hot tub area was very well maintained and a great way to relax. There’s a nice patio with a fire pit for when the weather is nice out! The TVs are equipped with complimentary HBOgo, something I’ve never seen before, they also have Netflix and other services you can log into if you have subscription yourself, hard to top that!! Can’t say enough. 10/10.
Fanastic! Very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean. I love the layout of the room. It was like a mini suite very comfortable. It had everything I need and more. The complimentary breakfast was great too! I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for upscale hotel to host a family reunion like my family did.
Had a wonderful stay at the TownePlace Suites Marriott Joliet South! We were checked in quickly be a very friendly desk staff and in our nice big clean room in no time! Had a great breakfast downstairs, and our van was safe in their parking lot. Cant wait to come back to this great hotel - thanks!
I had a great stay at theI checked in late and the night clerk was amazing. I hate that I cant remember her name but she was AWESOME. The room was very nice. Pictures have been attached. I was a big fan of the room size. The bed was very comfy. Room comes with a couch and desk area, if you are working remote. It also comes with a full fridge, microwave and stove if you want to cook. They also have a grill on the patio area that you can bbq at. This hotel offers a full breakfast in the morning. Parking is free and they have plenty of it. I loved this hotel. The only bad thing is not alot of late night food options around the hotel. The good thing is the hotel has snacks and microwaveable foods. I highly recommend
Joliet is very pretty and nice town. I stayed at Towne Place for a wedding. I was there 3 nights. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. Really liked my room. I spent a lot of time in my room studying because I am a student. It was quiet even being on the first floor near front lobby. The kitchen is awesome and talk about amazing closet space! The closet could be accessed near the front or while in the bathroom! Decor was nice and furniture comfy. I left some items behind. Before I even knew they were missing they contacted my spouse and had them shipped to my home. What service?! Very pleased with my stay!
This hotel was awesome!! We played a show in Chicago and found this to be the perfect place to head to after the show for some serious R&R. The staff was super friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. They had a great breakfast as well. I’ll definitely be staying here again and will recommend to my friends who are traveling through the area
Really great place! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, breakfast is great (although I would recommend adding fresh fruit to the menu), theres free cookies throughout the day, it has all the amenities (pool, fitness room, laundry, Lounge, outside seating), and theres a handful of restaurant options around the hotel. I definitely recommend TownePlace Suites over the Fairfield.
Our room had all the comforts of home. The kitchenette was well stocked with everything we needed. Hotel beds are normally an issue for us however the bed was extremely comfortable. We have a Tempurpedic at home. I wish we could have had this room at our final destination! I highly recommend staying here.
I have stayed at hotels all across the nation, in 32 states and at multiple hotels. I would have to say that my favorite is staying with Marriott hotels. I next would have to say that the Towneplace Suites Joliet South has been the best expoerence I have ever had. Best staff that I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were professional and friendly. They genuinely cared about everyone staying there and their satisfaction. Everything was well maintained, breakfast was great, and was very welcoming for pets. I was given a rubber ducky and dog bags for free for our stay as well. This has been the best experience I have had staying at a hotel and will def recommend to others when they come visit me there now!
Wow! What a great find this one was. Ive been traveling the country on a road trip all summer and have found few places as welcoming as this hotel. The staff was friendly and provided an easy check in and check out, I took advantage of the clean, spacious, comfortable rooms and breakfast included in the morning. Made a great stopover on my way back home!
Was very impressed with the friendly, helpful staff; maintenance and cleanliness of the entire property; and overall quality of the experience, particularly for such a reasonable price. Location couldnt be more accessible. I stayed alone, and just for two days. But this would be a great place to bring the family/kids for a longer visit. If youre planning an extended stay in the Joliet area, there is no better choice; plus you get great value for the price.
We had a family birthday with out-of-town guests at a nearby restaurant. We needed a room for the guests that was large enough for them and a post party gathering. One of the out-of-town guests was so impressed with the website that she convinced her husband to join her on the trip and rented a separate room for them. We wound up with a two bedroom suite, with a pullout sofa bed and kitchenette. There was plenty of room. We actually had two of our grand children stay in one of the rooms, so having a separate bedroom was perfect while the adults continued chatting until the early morning hours. I dont think that it could not have turned out any better.
Great hotel for extended stays in Joliet area. Convenient located at I-55/I-80 junction. Clean, well-appointed rooms. Large refrigerator is great if you’re buying groceries. Breakfast items were at or above average for same class of hotels. Friendly staff helped with any questions about local amenities.
This place is amazing, very clean, friendly and Workers are awesome here. I work at a Marriott in downtown Chicago and I have a habit when I stay in a hotel, doing a deep inspection on the rooms/room. And I must say didnt find one thing wrong. Also my son loves the inflatables balls big thumbs up to that. Over all a great place to stay.
The staff was very friendly and responsive for requests made by my entire family. The pool was large, with lots of pool floaties for the kids. There were Weber grills outside that we didnt use, but were a nice surprise too. Lots of great conveniences made for a great stay for the family!
This TownePlace is in a good location away from heavy traffic, and close to I-80. The rooms are spacious, and the full kitchen saves a LOT of money if you are on a fixed daily allowance. Eating in is WAY cheaper than eating out. I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times over the past 5 years. The only time I stay elsewhere is if they are booked full. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. Most free meal breakfasts in hotels like this only have cold carbs and fruit. This place does a nicer job, with waffle makers, eggs (they were real at one time), bacon or sausage, and biscuits/gravy. The hot meals rotate, but waffles are offered daily.
The hotel is comfortable and mostly up to date, although the temperature controls could use some improvement. Internet service was good and rooms were comfortable. TV is offered by digital cable service provided over internet. They have a small fitness center (at the time it had 3 cardio machines and 1 bench with free weights) and an indoor pool, with some outdoor patio space. At least some of the rooms offer full kitchens, with a full size refrigerator, electric stove, and dishwasher. The biggest downside is location since there is very little in walking distance, most places are at least a 10 minute drive away. Not horrible, but also not convenient.
I was attending a wedding that did not start until 5 pm, but I lived quite a distance away and didnt want to be stuck in rush hour traffic. This location offers day check ins, so I was able to relax in a comfortable room from 9 until 3. This was perfect for me as most hotels only allow check in at 4 pm. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & will definitely do a day getaway again soon!!
Our six day stay could not have been better. The location was perfect and the interaction with the staff, both administrative and housekeeping was professional and genuine. Great Associates. The facility offered outside facilities which included comfortable seating, a fire pit, and several BBQ grills. Truly relaxing.
From the minute you walk in you will notice how clean the hotel is. The staff is also very friendly. The rooms are well equipped with fridge, stove, microwaves and dishes too. The bathrooms and beds are well kept too, very comfy. The hotel provides a free breakfast that features quite a variety of choices. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Very pleasant and clean/comfy place to stay.
Marriott properties are always top notch and I gotta say, my favorite variety is the Towneplace Suites. This particular location was where we first fell in love with them and while we’ve visited many, this one is the best. You won’t find a better staff team anywhere; it’s no wonder this hotel is often sold-out. The rooms are large and include kitchenettes. Lovely indoor pool and hot tub and an incredibly well-stocked 24 hour store. Complimentary breakfast is always top-notch, and I enjoy the premium Neutrogena bath products. For me what puts this property over the top is the little things like the rubber ducky, complimentary candy available at the desk, mini candy bars in the room, bag of popcorn, dish washing detergent and dish scrubber. Beds were super comfy, and there’s plenty of restaurants in walking distance. We always make it a point to stay at this spot when playing Chicago! Check it out!
We had a day off on tour before we played in Chicago, so I wanted to give our crew of 6 the time and space for a little R&R. The TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Joliet offers a comfortable, family-friendly, and spacious stay all for an affordable price.Upon arriving, we were greeted by a very kind and attentive front desk staff who promptly checked us in and gave me a rundown on all the amenities. They also let us push back out checkout time by an hour and checked in with us whenever they saw us in the lobby to make sure that our stay was going smoothly. An indoor pool/jacuzzi area, along with a clean 24-hour gym, was a welcome break from the hours that we spend in the van that day. After a quick workout, there were plenty of nearby options to eat dinner. Complimentary breakfast the next morning was filling and had plenty of healthy options. The rooms are very spacious with a small kitchen and workspace that allowed me to catchup on some work without having to sit in my bed or go work in the lobby. The beds themselves we’re extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. We were all able to catch up on some much needed sleep, which is always a huge bonus whenever we’re on the road.10/10 would highly recommend staying here!#socialmediapromo #socialmediainfluencer #hotelsandresorts #TownePlaceSuites #Marriott #TownePlaceSuitesbyMarriott #Chicago #Joliet #Illinois #ignitehospitalityservices #hotelphotography #workandtravel
This hotel was so great! We stayed for one night while working nearby. They had plenty of parking for our oversized vehicle. We checked in late and the front desk was so helpful getting us to our room quickly. The room was beautiful and A+ clean inside with kitchenette complete with utensils and cookware. The hotel was very quiet and a perfect nights stay for us. THank you!
Desk staff is amazing. Super freindly. They will try to help with anything they can! Even greet you by name! In the evening - those warm cookies and milk are a dream! Rooms are laid out well - not noisy. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy. Stairs are nice option to have - in lieu of elevator. Bfast is good each day.
This is my 2nd stay at this property. I cannot say enough how this staff should be lauded for their customer service. Quite honestly, I do not think that I have ever stayed at a hotel where the entire staff has been sooo wonderful. I wish that I had the names of everyone that I interacted with. Cheryl from the evening shift remembered me from my last visit which was in 2016. She is amazing!!! The property is well maintained and rooms are very nice, kind of a retro look. Check it out if you are in the area...
We haven’t even got to stay in the hotel yet. But we’re not very happy. We made a reservation FIVE HOURS AGO they tell us check in is at 3 pm, we get here at 3:20 just for them to tell us our room isn’t ready. We drove over an hour to get here because our power is out, we have groceries that are in the car that need to be frozen so we don’t lose all this food like we did in our fridge. They didn’t call us to tell us it wasn’t ready, didn’t give us any warning, and they weren’t nice about it either. The MANAGER had the nerve to say “oh we can call across the street to see if they have rooms open” like no thanks, we wanted this hotel cuz their pool is open. Not to be referred to another hotel. Common courtesy. They lady is so rude, can’t believe she’s a manager.
Nice hotel right off of 55 in suburban chicago, about a 45 minute drive from downtown. Clean, well lit parking lot and the staff let us check in late. nice clean lobby area with plenty of snacks for sale and for free. There was free breakfast in the morning and a nice dining area. The breakfast was definitely a cut above normal continental breakfast. There is a pool and gym area and the room rooms were spacious and clean. There is a kitchenette and basically any amenity you would need here. Its also close to restaurants and some retail. We were traveling for business and would definitely stay here again.
I had a great stay at the Townplace Suites - Joilet South. The staff was very friendly and helpful staff, both at check and at breakfast. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable and the room and hallways quiet. Got a great nights sleep which is rare for me with hotel stays. They also had a nice desk/workspace in the room and the Wifi was superfast. In addition, they had a nice complimentary breakfast and good coffee! Next time I come to the Joilet area Ill be sure to stay here again!
Not at all what we were lead to expect when booking our reservation online. We spent over $300 for a room for just two nights, so we had certain expectations of what we were paying all that money for, but there was simply nothing special about this hotel. It may as well have been a motel 8. We has two queen size beds, which were more or less as advertised and some other basic furniture, like u would find in any standard $60 to $80 motel room. There were no special amenities and absolutely nothing that made this place stand out or justified the rather substantial expense. We were very disappointed overall, as we expected to enjoy a rather nice hotel room l, but it proved to be nothing more then a cheap motel room that cost a lot of money. Take my advice. Save your money and just stay at a days inn or motel 8. Youll get the same room and overall experience, for less then half the money!
We checked in Friday-Sunday, & from the time we checked in we received nothing short of Perfect Peace when entering this establishment. Everyone from the start of the check in, was very hospitable throughout the entire stay. Brenda, was a very personable guest services clerk, as well as the entire breakfast attendant staff. Definitely enjoyed myself and will be returning as soon as I come back into Chicago area. Excellent Stay.
I enjoyed staying at the hotel and the suite was just right. The evening staff was very welcoming and offered their last batch of fresh baked cookies to me and my family which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend to road travelers who happen to be in the Illinois area as it is conveniently located off the Interstate. And road noise is very minimal which allowed for a good nights sleep.
What a pleasant surprise! I expected an average stay, but was blown away by the cleanliness, pleasant decor, and general comfort of the room and hotel itself. Lots of details well thought out for the road weary traveler. I definitely will seek out TownePlace Suites, but cant imagine they are all this nice.
This hotel had plenty of amenities in the room , including a tall refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The bed is super comfortable and the rooms are very clean and up to date. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing. The staff was very nice. This is an overall great place to stay!
My father always told me that you can judge a restaurant by its pickles because it shows that the restaurant pays attention to the taste of all their ingredients. TownePlace Suites in Joliet South does exactly this. Not only is the hotel spotless, but our room had two big comfy queen beds and a desk in the room large enough to work on with a laptop and multiple books open at the same time. The bathroom was large and had a plethora of better than expected soaps, extra towels, and the cherry on the cake, a shower with the most perfect water pressure. I will be checking back in my next time in Joliet.
This hotel was a real life-saver. I was driving from Minneapolis to Detroit and had to find a good place to stay somewhere in between that wasnt Chicago (b/c too expensive and traffic - yuck). This TownePlace Suites was a surprisingly nice hotel in a very convenient location for my journey - an hour outside of Chicago and right along the way for my drive. I wasnt able to stay long, but it provided the perfect amenities for my brief stay. I arrived late at night but there were free cookies and fresh fruit waiting for my arrival - just perfect. The free continental breakfast was great and I was off and running in the morning (lots of dark blend coffee - alwasy great to have several options for free coffee!) Highly recommended if youre looking for a place with easy access to Chicago but with some relative distance in case you dont want to deal with the hassle and price!
I had a wonderful stay here. The staff was very friendly, I found the room clean, quiet and very nicely decorated, a fresh remodel or new build altogether. The breakfast was very nice and they even had fresh fruit (that was actually delicious!) available anytime at the front desk.I got in late and they accommodated my late check out as well. I was here for business but noticing the bridal party leaving the next day, they clearly can handle all sorts of guests!I would highly recommend.#SponsoredPromo #TownePlaceSuites #Marriott #Joilet #Illinois #HotelStory #Entertainer #TravelIgnite #Musician #Comedian
TownePlace Suites would have received a four-star review however, the pillows and comforter smelled rank of sweat. The sheets, pillow cover and comforter covering was fine and clean but its clearly time to get new bedding. Otherwise, the staff and facility is excellent.
I truly truly enjoyed my stay here! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from our first encounter! Jabril was amazing and super helpful getting me checked in! The lobby smelled amazing and was beautiful!!!! I loved the way the rooms were built! I have never seen a walk-in closet that connects to the bathroom!!! Bonus!! I loved it! The space and the extra blankets!!!I would definitely recommend this location it’s close to the highway! Tons of gas and food options!Side note!!! The beds will make you melt like butter!!!#SponsoredPromo #townplacesuitesmarriottJoliet #townplacesuitesmarriott #Joliet #illinois #HotelStory #Entertainer #TravelIgnite #Comedian #Musician #juslaugh
We were here for one night due to a wedding we were to attend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, modern and well equipped with a kitchenette. There was an outside patio, and many other features we did not even use. Overall, a great place to stay.
This was the first hotel we stayed at on our vacation traveling out west. It was clean and the beds were soooooooo comfortable after being in a car for 10 hours. It was easy to get to and had a Cracker Barrel right on the parking lot sight. We had an accessible room and it actually had a hand held shower head. Sometimes they dont. Overall it was a great place would reccommend it for the price
The staff really made me feel welcome and not just another person in town for the weekend. The location is great. Being right off the interstate I was worried about noise but o couldnt hear a thing in my room. Ingrid was a very welcoming front desk attendant. If Im ever back in the area I will be sure to book here again.
TownPlace Suites Joliet South is my favorite places to stay in the area. The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are a great size and well-equipped. The beds are very comfortable! My biggest pet peeve about a hotel is the noise from other rooms. I have NEVER had an issue with hearing people in the hall or neighboring rooms. This hotel is top notch!!!
I can’t say enough good things about the south Joliet Towne Place Suites. This is one of my favorite hotels ever. I’ve stayed here several times and it is always a pleasant, comfortable, and relaxing experience.First off, the staff here is outstanding. Pleasant, helpful, and very friendly. I had a few requests thought my stay and they were able to quickly and easily accommodate each — with a smile! Love these folks. Give ‘em a raise. The room is super comfy. Great bed, great shower. Plenty of storage space is you’re staying a while. There’s also a microwave, range, dishwasher and full size fridge and coffee pot — dishes, silverware, and cooking supplies as well. I mostly relaxed and cooked in the room!Complimentary hot breakfast is served every morning. Free wi-fi is available and I especially appreciated the ability to watch Netflix on the TV in the room. Top notch! They’ve got a fitness center, pool, AND hot tub as well. Parking is easy and it’s right off the highway. Stay here!
Location for us is perfect for visiting family, easy on and off I80, gas stations and restaurants are very convenient. Hotel is well maintained, rooms are laid out nicely, plenty of room, comfortable beds and kitchenette! Breakfast in the morning could be improved but its nice that its available.
The Towneplace Suites are always a treat while on tour as they have laundry, kitchenettes, wonderfully lit desk/work area and all of the essential furnishments of home. I tour manage bands and spend the majority of my year staying in hotels. This specific property pushes the brand standards even higher as it goes out of the way with treats - coffee and tea are standard, but supplemented here with fresh fruits, milk and cookies, and miniature candy bars in the room. I love the attention to fine detail here - even down to supplying a rubber ducky for the bathtub. While the location, sanitation and amenities go above and beyond - the staff team here are some of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve met in the hospitality industry.Always a pleasure to see the extremely fast and pleasant Charrelle, Ingrid, Angela and Autumn. Every worker from each department greeted us. I can’t speak highly enough about this place, we would drive out of the way to stay here any given time. The band I am with is from Italy and they can’t stop talking about this place. 10/10
Always greeted with a smile by this amazing team! I am willing to pay more to stay in this Marriott because the team genuinely treats you like family. The rooms are nicely decorated, roomy, fluffy towels and nice shampoos and soaps. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in the Joliet area!
Staff was excellent. There was a wedding party there and I was amazed at how the staff provided and allowed them to celebrate. It was wonderful. Most places would be restrictive to the point of hindering. Perfect place for most any event as there is also outdoor seating, with a fire pit and outdoor cooker. Everyone I observed had a great time.
My favorite place to stay in town. The staff is amazing, rooms are clean, great outside area with a fire pit and grills, nice pool and hot tub room. They have cookies on the weekdays and hot chocolate for the kids all day every day. Great breakfast, all around great place.
Was in town for a week for work. Needed a kitchenette to accomodate my mother and Is goal to enjoy cooking and eating healthy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Cheryl at front desk ensured all extra comforts for mother with health needs at time I made reservation a week earlier. Todd in Maintenance took care of air conditioner/thermostat issue within minutes of our call to desk. Outstanding personal attention and professionalism! Felt better than home. Will use for extended stay in future - if air/furnace is changed back to old technology (controllable thermostat).
Third visit to Les Nomades and I think each is better than the previous. The food is just so wonderful and the service is beyond reproach. Quiet Thursday (except for a strange couple in the corner, nothing he establishment could do about that) and that meant a nice quiet and perfectly paced evening. Sit downstairs if at all possible, the banquet seating is very pleasant for two side by side. Yes, it was a date. We both enjoyed our first two courses and the fish was perfect. We will return when visiting town.
Loved our stay at the Towneplace Suites in Joliet! From the staff to the amazing room, this is our new main stop when traveling. The staff kept up with everything thrown at them from cold guests coming in from the snow, the breakfast was yummy, and the bedrooms are roomy with the most comfortable beds ever. I did not want to leave that bed! Make this a place to stay for sure!
Overall, the TownPlace Suites in Joliet is very nice. Everything was clean, the staff were very pleasant, the amenities were great, and the check out time was great because it was at a later time (noon). They have a nice pool and hot tub, as well as an outdoor grill area with a beautiful gas firepit that guests can use. The hotel has free WiFi, a gym, a small snack shop, a laundry mat, and a nice lounge. Everything was clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was a little more limited in variety than my other experiences, though it was still adequate. The only real complaint I had was with the bed: it was rather firm and very uncomfortable. I recognize, however, most hotels have subpar mattresses (in my opinion). And, while it wasnt a good mattress, it was still better than many of the other hotel mattresses Ive encountered. All in all though, I had a very good experience here.
Arriving late at night we were greeting with a friendly face and fresh cookies. Upon checking into our room, everything was as requested with zero problems. After getting a quiet and restful nights sleep we enjoyed a hot and fresh breakfast. Upon departure to continue our trip home we were ready to take on the day thanks to our wonderful stay.
Although this is a Marriott branded hotel, I was extremely disappointed by my stay. I originally booked a two bed suite as there were 3 in my party. When I arrived, I was told that I wad upgraded to a 1 bed suite. Needless to say, this immediately left a very poor taste in my mouth. Luckily, there was a hide-a-bed in the suite but really, who wants to sleep on something like that? Other than the lack of getting the room I booked, the breakfast was phenomenal, the water was hot in the shower, the bed I slept on was very comfy, and the A.C. worked overtime but kept us cool.
The property is well maintained, with easy access to the interstates. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They have a map posted on the wall, showing all of the local establishments. The continental breakfast is delicious. Free internet access, fitness center, pool and hot tub are excellent. it is a wonderful place to unwind and rest!
Lovely stay. Once you make a call to make reservation the receptionist sounds so friendly and enthusiastic that you want to give the hotel a chance. It was a very pleasant surprise. Very clean, huge rooms, comfortable beds and great free breakfast. Thank you Sybil you are great !!!Thank you Sybile... You made our one get stay very special.
Had a great stay at Town Place Suites. I needed a last minute hotel and they were very accommodating. I travel a lot for work and one thing that really stood out about Town Place Suites were the mattresses. Felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. After a great night sleep I was able to get a nice workout in in the morning and felt nice a recharged for my long day. Highly recommend!#sponsoredpromo#townplacesuitesjolietsouth#Joliet#Illinois#HotelStory#musician#travelignite#comedian#entertainer
It is just amazing and the people are so very happy and they will never be anything but helpful and caring about Each and Every Guest! The girls are amazing and they all have the best intentions and the most beautiful thing to be made aware of is the fact that they WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS FOR YOU AND YOUR PET !! I LOVE THEM AND SEE MYSELF AS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! I WILL BE A PROBLEM IF I HAVE TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!! No one can get you the same care that you are going to get with Angela, Xiomara, Autumn and Maria! There is no way to list all the people who are doing something amazing and are so excited to do it for you!
This is the first hotel we have stayed at in a long time That we felt was actually very clean the problem is they hired night workers to work at night and so we didnt get to sleep because their workers were so loud so we were up from 1:00 a.m. until the next day we never got to sleep while the worker was very nice when I called down to the front desk to complain thats when they notified me it was their workers and they would fix it It never got fixed the crew was in-and-out slamming doors next to us and they were talking at the top of their voice whatever they were working on in the next 2 rooms it was so loud it almost sounded like light construction.... I could not believe they would hire night time workers while people were trying to sleep. If you read the reviews other people have complained about noise it must have been the same situation.
We had to be out of our house for ten days (major repairs). Our stay at Towne Place Suites couldnt have been more pleasant. The room seemed like a one bedroom condo. The staff couldnt have been more friendly and accommodating. Breakfast, fitness room, pool, morning paper and Internet connection all met our expectation. Topped off with fresh cookies at night. Plus a variety of eateries right across the street
This is a return trip for me; I previously stayed here on another tour I was managing. We had such a great stay prior, we made it a point to come back, and I gotta say the experience was just as consistently tight as before. The first time I was here was the first time we had stayed at a TownePlace; a great spot for touring musicians. We’ve stayed at other TownePlaces in the meantime, but I have to say this is our favorite one.The staff is fun and lighthearted – had a great laugh with Sherral and Autumn who were super accommodating and helped us get checked in a little early as we had to get to the club for soundcheck. Rooms are super clean, roomy and comfortable plus extremely quiet; plenty of amenities including cool little outdoor grill area, 24 hour store, full kitchens in rooms, free cookies and milk offering and above average complimentary breakfast. This is a good spot as a hotel, but the sweet staff makes this place over the top in my book. Will drive out of the way to stay here anytime I’m headed west out of Chicago. Thanks gang!
TownePlace Suites Marriott was a great stay. It was conveniently located near major interstates 55 and 80. Complimentary breakfasts were more than expected at a typical hotel; omelettes, eggs, waffles, oatmeal, juice, coffee, cereal, and the items offered changed daily, ie. one day it was biscuits and gravy, the next day scrambled eggs and potatoes, etc. The rooms are clean and quiet and provided for a great nights sleep. Pool, gym, HBO, whats not to like. Friendly staff too.
This location provided excellent service to us, and our family and friends also staying there. They were interested in talking to us about the wedding and events, and extremely helpful and generous with any and all requests for additional services. Everyone staying there was made to feel important, and at home. Thank you all so much! We will all be looking for Towneplace Suites in our future travels.
We recently stayed in TownePlace Suites in Joliet and had a remarkable experience. It all began with possibly the most friendly hotel night clerk I have ever encountered. Though we were arriving late, she was very cheerful, welcoming, and personable! Truthfully, we arrived too late to enjoy many of the amenities but, when it comes to a cozy room and comfortable nights sleep, this place knocked it out of the park. The spacious room was very home-like, set up like a studio apartment complete with kitchenette. There is plenty of storage space, including a large closet and lots of shelving, which would be great for a longer stay. The bathroom was modern and well maintained, complete with rubber ducky! Also, I noted that the tv had internet access allowing you to tap into your Netflix (or other) streaming accounts. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a room in the Joliet area.
Varry family friendly good breakfast with new options every morning staff are nice and become like a part of the family. Varry Pet friendly good place for a business trip stay. McDonalds and gas station is literally a 5 min walk from your hotel room all the way there. calm and friendly invirement nice pool with beach balls over all the staff are like family and are even good to have a conversation with and I like that. And you cant go wrong with free cookies at 5 pm
Great location right off of the highway near convenience stores and gas stations. There was a large event in the area but it was never too loud. The kitchenette was useful in preparing meals instead of eating out. The staff was accommodating and assisted when there were questions.
As a staunch Marriott supporter I have stayed at many Marriott family hotels. The quality of the facilities and the service keeps me coming back. The TownePlace Suites in Joliet, IL wins the prize for the best service ever!!!!!!The staff were most welcoming, personable, accommodating and professional. I felt like part of the family.....a rather nice feeling, indeed. Manager Angela and front desk staff, Cheryl and Autumn were amazing in their attention to me and other guests.....definite assets to your organization. I have already posted my praise for the TownPlace Suites, Joliet, IL on Trip Adviser.
Upon entering the hotel I was warmly greeted by the concierge and she was able to check me in right away. The room almost felt like a studio apartment. It had a nice kitchenette with a large fridge and granite countertops. It had so many little perks. There was a couch and a desk as well. They even had a tv with Netflix, Hulu and more. I had forgotten to pack shampoo and I was glad that they had the brand that I use at home, Paul Mitchell. As I laid down to end my night the bed felt like a huge comfy cloud. One of the best sleeps Ive had in a hotel.
Having a large family at home (wife and 4 kids), I usually dread going on the road for business. However, when I know I am coming to Joliet and am able to stay at the TownePlace Suites Joliet South, I really look forward to the trip. The staff is welcoming, and I never walk by without my presence being acknowledged and welcomed. They are quick to please any needs that I may have. I am getting a sense of feeling at home when I come to stay here. I couldnt be any happier with my stays when I know what I have to sacrifice at home each week when I come here. A huge thank you to the staff for welcoming me and making me feel at home at your beautiful hotel.
The hotel makes you feel like you are at your house. It is like a miniature apartment rather than a hotel room. The staff is nice and courteous and the breakfast was very good! Usually, hotels just offer simple breakfast items, but this hotel went above and beyond their breakfast items.
We have stayed at this property many times and have come to expect, a clean room & breakfast area, comfortable bed, pleasant/helpful employees, at a reasonable price. We were not disappointed. Its a comfortable room in a convenient location. I would recommend this hotel to any one, whether it be for business or leisure stay.
Our room had a plug in air freshener when we arrived. The setting was on high and the room smelled strongly of cheap air freshener. I unplugged it as my husband suffers from reactive airway to perfumes. This is why hospitals do not allow staff to wear perfume and flowers are not allowed in ICU areas. Never have we encountered such a thing in a hotel room, why the need to mask a scent? I called for a new room after the scent would not diffuse. I was told there was nothing they could do as we had already been in our room checked in for 2 hours. My husband had to sleep in the car and we ended up leaving at 3am after having driven from Maine. We have stayed at multiple of these hotels and usually the higher level Marriotts when we dont have our dog. In addition, upon arrival the woman who checked us in was rude, it seemed as though she was training a younger employee and was disrespectful towards this employee in front of me and other guests. The entire experience was enough to reconsider our 20 year loyalty to Marriot.
Cherelle is the best front manager. So attentive and a joy! She and Maria made our stay on a sad occasion for a family funeral very comfortable. This is the nicest team and a lovely hotel. If I could give them ten stars and a raise I would! You will not go wrong staying at this lovely establishment. The fire pit an added perk!
Always enjoy my stays here. They always remember me (only come to stay 4 or 5 times per year), seem to keep staff. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and provide whatever you need. Clean and well maintained, quite and comfortable. Thats why I keep going back.

2022-05-16Our second stay at the towne place, only because the staff is super friendly🦋 it’s nice to have a kitchenette in the room, big fridge, pool 🏊♂️ was super nice and clean, the hot tub is not working. We loved the lounge place with the grill’s, altogether perfect for long stay with family.

2022-05-28Typical Marriott accommodation. The staff was a little overwhelmed because of a power outage but they got things figured out. Continental breakfast is really basic even for a Continental but free is free. Overall Id probably stay here again.

2021-12-14I stayed here for about 2 months for work. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, working Ethernet network connection, bed was real comfy, kitchenette was nice with a nearly full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cooktop, and garbage disposal. Only complaint is the TV was pretty small (32) but still deserves 5 stars from me. I was very comfortable here.

2021-09-21The hotel room was very comfortable, clean and quiet (even with I-80 close by). Its in a convenient location with McDonalds and Cracker Barrel next door. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. The kitchenette came in super handy when I had to wash vases and cut flowers to make into 12 arrangements for a reunion. I will definitely stay here next time Im in town!

I was really happy to be greeted so warmly and taken care of. My kids had fun and not once did we have any worries for a few days. :) great stay here

2021-04-07We really enjoyed this TownPlace Suites! We have family in town and usually stay in another location. We opted to try this as we have had good experiences with TownPlace in other cities. We will be returning over and over again. The ENTIRE staff was helpful, upbeat and always willing to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean and spacious and the outdoor space, pool and lobby were all really well maintained and clean. This was a great experience.

2021-11-07I haven’t even stayed at this hotel. We just called and spoke to a Jennifer. We have 2 rooms booked for the next day and we wanted to know if there’s any early check in available. She said early check in is 3pm and the regular check in is 3pm. How is that called early check in?! If you don’t have early checkin, then say no we don’t. This rude person then hung up on me. This is very unprofessional and not the way to do business. Please train your employees to be more respectful toward customers.
