Just got a facial from Rachel! She was so kind and informative. By far the best facial I have ever received my skin feels amazing and glowing🤩 I would highly recommend this salon. The entire staff is so passionated and talented! Thank you for welcoming me and creating a great expirence! I will be back!! The new owner is so professional and great!👌🏽
Lan, who does my nails is great! Been going to her for almost 3 years. She is super nice and very talented. I always get compliments. They are very Covid safe as well.
Andrea is absolutely the best for both hair and nails. She really takes the time to listen to you so that you get the perfect style and color for your hair. She does excellent manicures and pedicures too! I highly recommend Andrea and The Experience Salon. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Toes and nails done here. They handled my wedding party crew of 9 like a pro. Love their chairs. Very nice staff. Oh and I got my brows done there too.
Salon is so beautiful, and Brooke is so talented and truly takes time to listen to what you want. I was traveling all the way to Chicago to get my hair done for years, and I have been all over Rockford and never ended up happy. But now that I found Brooke(which I was referred to by one of my friends that also goes to her) I truly feel she is the best in this town! My haircolor and my haircut both are the best I have ever had. I definitely recommend Brooke at The Experience! She is amazing at what she does, and she is so sweet and takes her time with you. I’m so happy! She made me feel beautiful again and her energy is contagious.
I originally wrote a five-star review but must change it after my experience last month. Andrea did my hair the first time, and it was a good cut. She wasnt available when I needed my hair done for an important professional event, so they booked me with someone else. It is hands-down the worst cut Ive had in over 30 years. The owner was sympathetic and offered to comp follow up services, but when I went in a couple days ago for a brow wax and pedicure, no one mentioned that. At least mention it. I really love the way Seneida does brows and Tammy with nails, but I am disappointed that management keeps such a poorly skilled stylist on staff and did little more than take my call and *seem* concerned. Otherwise, the reception staff and professionals mentioned above are friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have one place that gets it all right. Unfortunately, this isnt it.
AWESOME experience! I was so nervous to go in and get my hair chopped, but Mirna was amazing! She listened to exactly what I wanted and talked me though everything she was doing so I felt confident about the whole experience. Prior to my visit, I had tried to cut my hair myself but totally wrecked it! Mirna evened everything out and blended the spot I ruined and it looks amazing! Would definitely recommend! :)
I love this salon, I am a regular here now for about a year, the same person does my cuts and color. The new owner is doing a great job making things fresh and adding so much to the salon. Its relaxing and like a mini vacation, anyone who says something bad about the stylists or atmosphere is flat out lying. They are all wonderful people and always exceed my expications. Ps Andrea is the bomb! But any one of their stylists would do a wonderful job!
I visited there for the first time for a spray tan and to get my nails done. I had such a great experience that I have been getting my nails done every 2 weeks there and have just started getting my hair done there. I absolutely love it -one of the best places I have visited for these services. Employees are VERY good at their job and very knowledgeable. They are accoutable for their services and ensure that they do the best job they possibly can. I am very impressed by this salon and would recommend it to anyone.
Today was my second visit for color and hair cut. A 15% coupon was mailed to me and I decided to use it today. Checkout is when things started to turn. The system took $15 off instead of 15%. The receptionist lacked any sympathy and did not even call anyone over to see what went wrong while the owner was standing 15 feet away. I called the owner and he wanted me to pick up a check for the difference... I paid cash. Do not trust any promotions this salon offers. I will be following up with the stylist to make sure the difference goes to her to add to her tip.
Sydney put in hair extensions and they are awesome! Shes easy to work with , professional, and so talented. I recently got a facial by Rachel and she did awesome- my sking looks great!
Zoe did such an amazing job on my hair. You can tell that she is very passionate about her career. I love her professionalism and her enthusiasm. Her vibe is amazing! She gave me exactly what i wanted and also gave me really good advice. She made sure I knew exactly what was going on during the process. It was my first color ever and I couldn’t be any happier. I feel so beautiful. She went above and beyond for me and I’m SO THANKFUL! I will most definitely be coming back to her. ❤️
Went in for a message, only to enjoy the noise they had of laughter from the salon! I believe when getting a message you should feel relax and be able to ENJOY your message and every moment of the experience. NO, not the case. The client should not be disturbed with the environment noise especially if they are playing for “the experience “. Poor experience, I should of went where I usually go, that’s what I get for trying some place different.
Very friendly and helpful. Mirna is a miracle worker! My hair had never looked better! My first time here and I will never go anywhere else again. By far the best salon experience Ive ever had.
Got a gift card to have a pedicure. Sign on window said walk ins welcome. Got set up for an appointment later that day. Pedicure was nothing special. Still $40...for the same experience I can get for $25 at most other nail salons. If I didnt have a gift card for this...and actually had to pay, I would have been upset at the cost vs. quality.
THEY ARE FABULOUS! Andrea is such a fantastic stylist and person overall. Stacie has always helped me with any questions or concerns about my skin through their fantastic facials. And they always do great specials too. Im so excited to try out the NEW Himalayan Salt Infrared Sauna. I heard Its fantastic for your body. THANK YOU THEXPERIENCE
I decided to try this place out for the first time today. And I have to say, I probably wont be back. I thought my nail tech was kind of rude and she cut a few of my cuticles to the point of bleeding. She told me I was moving my hands way too much and several times she stopped was she was doing and scolded me for looking at her and messing her up. She was pleasant enough to talk to once she was done, and everyone else was nice and accommodating. But my first experience at The Experience was not a very good one.
I always have a wonderful massage here! The atmosphere is very relaxing, and they offer all types of massages. Ive tried different ones, and Ive never had a bad one! The location is easy to find, too. I always look forward to having my next massage!
Today I came here for the first time to get a hair cut and slightly different style. I have always had very bad experiences with hair stylist (from bad bangs to green hair) until today. Mariah Moutrey was my stylist and she did a wonderful job. I wanted something a bit new and Mariah listened to me every step of the way. I will definitely be coming again!
Andrea is an amazing hair stylist and just a great person in general ☺️ She’s done a lovely job with helping me make my hair lighter and I couldn’t be happier with the results!
Definitely NOT the experience I wanted to have! I went in for a cut and color. First off, they have separate people do your color and cut. I didnt like that. But I showed the first lady the picture how I wanted my hair colored. I have bleach blonde hair that i wanted low lights added to. Then I told the second lady that I wanted a forward angled bob. I wish I could post a picture on here of what I wanted verses what I got, but to sum it up I was there for over 3 hours and came out with just a trimmed up version of the haircut I already have and now my hair looks gray with blonde highlights. Not worth $180!!
They charged me 35 dollars for a gel nail fill, which wasnt even dry until about 45 minutes later (which isnt normal, any other time Ive gotten it somewhere else it was dry immediately). Not only that, but they were painted a light pink color, and a day later they turned purple, and the purple smeared onto my fingers and stained them. I dont know what that lady used, but she doesnt know what shes doing. They called her the nail diva, or genie...something like that. Well she didnt deserve the 10 dollar tip I gave her. Wish I could take it back! And my moms nails looked like crap. I was hoping it would be a good experience since it was her birthday. Nope!
I had a massage with Rachida, she was very knowledgeable and very good. She work with me on all my problem areas. Wish I had more time but could only afford so much. I hope to make another appointment with her in the future.

I request a refund! This salon doesnt even deserve a one star. This is the worst salon I have ever been to. They are very inexperienced. I came here to do my makeup for one of the most important days of my life and they made me look like a clown. When I booked, I showed them a picture of what I wanted and I asked them if they could do it. They reassured me that they could and it wont be hard and that the lead stylist/makeup artist will do my makeup and hair. Due to time constraints, I had only time to do my makeup. The makeup was very cakey. It made me 20 years older than my age. The colors were horrific. I had her redo part of my eye makeup but it was still horrible. I got home from the salon and everyone was shocked at how bad it was. My freinds started to remove some of the makeup and redo but they couldnt make anything of it. I went and washed my face and did my own makeup.
I have only tried the massage service there, the first one was ok not great. The second one-I actually walked out of, something I never thought I would do. How bad does a massage have to be for one to ask them to stop, pretty bad .It was just awful, I asked for deep issue and the girl was maybe hungover? She dragged her fingers barely touching me and I laid there waiting for the real massage to start and then started to fume inside thinking about the money I was wasting. At least they had the decency not to charge me. I would say they have formulaic massages that are are not focused on client needs or individual massage talents or creativity, just going through the paces....

I love this salon! I come here for a multitude of services and Im never disappointed when I leave. I drive about an hour or so away to come here and its definitely worth the commute because of the quality of services that I receive. 💜
Booked a 60min massage with Daniel, I had to hold my breathe the whole time he was near my face he had awful smokers breathe. I went there to feel relaxed and ended up more stressed on the money and time I wasted on this massage and place. Very disappointing and unprofessional!
I went in for a facial today with Stacy, and it was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and listened to what I was looking for. It was very relaxing and I left with glowing skin.
We come see Andrea for our pedicures all the time and she takes great care of us! This is the only place my daughters and I like to visit.

Chiropractic and physical therapy had not been helping neck and back pain, a massage from Rachida and I started feeling much better. Now doing regular massage and pain is gone.

2022-07-31This was an absolutely wonderful experience. I had never been to The Experience; but Cinnamon was adorable, and the salon atmosphere is beautiful . My nails look perfect. I’ve been getting my nails done every two weeks for many years, and I don’t think I have ever had a better manicure.

2021-04-03Andrea did a fantastic job on my coloring! She listened to what I wanted, was very communicative and suggested what would be best for my hair. The results were phenomenal.Rachael also did such a great job with my eyebrows. The atmosphere was very peaceful, she took her time and the results were perfect.This salon has been wonderful so far and Im happy to have stumbled upon it.

2021-06-04This was the worst pedicure I have ever had. After 1 week the polish is already coming off. Over half of my nails we cut at an angle. The tech cut my skin on one toe and didn’t even acknowledge it. Then, when I went to pay, they charged me for someone else’s multiple services. I had to return for them to fix it and no apology was offered. I will not return.

2019-02-07I followed my hairstylist Leah here, shes amazing! Shes gotten my hair to the exact shade of blonde I want without jeopardizing the health of my hair. I started getting chemical peels done by Rachel to help with acne, acne scars, texture, etc. Ive only gotten a few but my skin has improved dramatically. Im actually comfortable enough to leave my house without makeup! I highly recommend! I personally think the prices are a good value, and they sometimes offer nice promotions which helps. Everyone is super nice, knowledgeable and professional.

2020-12-16Kelsey Anderson is an amazing stylist. She took the time to understand what I wanted and made sure I knew how to style my hair before the appointment was over. She also has magic hands! Pamper yourself with the wash and blow dry too!
