If you havent been in this location in awhile I suggest you give it a try. We have owned a mail box there for about a year and a half now. The people that owned it before did not take care of their customers nearly as well as the new owners do. The people there are really on the ball now. I have to say their service is really top notch lately. They are very easy to work with and take extra time to make our lives easier. My wife and I have two little ones and sending her to pick up packages can be a little stressful on her. If the owners in he usually sees her pull up and helps her load up so she doesnt have to take the kids out of the car which I know personally is a nightmare. I am glad this store has new owners. It really makes the overall experience go much smoother. Great job guys and keep up the great work. Happy you all are my go to UPS store from now on.
Great store and great staff! I use this location for my mailbox and all printing for marketing in my territory. I visited this store the other day while a corporate representative was going through the store. While I was only there for a short time, the disrespect and unprofessional nature of this person to the staff was unacceptable. You all rock at the store, keep up the great work and don’t let that corporate bimbo change how great you treat us all! Thank you again for all you do for me.
Literally the best UPS store Ive visited. I just moved and had to return my old cable box and modem. Early in the morning (promptly at 8 am) Matan was working and not only knew exactly what I was trying to do, but looked up my account number with a smile and positive attitude.About a week later this time I had to go return an Amazon package and he was working again (this time in the evening just before closing time). He was again very pleasant and happy to be there.I highly recommend this location and Matan for anything you need, because youll get a great attitude and a smile!
The customer service here goes above and beyond. They went out of their way to go pick up a package that FedEx had delivered to the wrong place. They fixed the box for me, re-taped it, and made sure none of the contents were damaged before re-sending. They also sent it the most affordable way without me even asking. It is so great to know that there are still people who go above and beyond to help others.
Worst service ever. Called this morning with dimensions of an item to pack and ship, quoted me $20 for shipping and $20 for packing. Get to the store to drop it off to do this and ground shipping shows at $85 before any of the packing! How does it double and triple in a matter of hours?! Hey Matt - maybe you ought to stop quoting over the phone.
I’ve never been told by Kohl’s that they wouldn’t accept a certain item, but in trying to return an IPad cover, Kohl’s said they could not accept the return, that we must take the item to the UPS store.I’ve been to this store in the past and have had positive experiences (reason for the second star). It’s a shame that one apple can spoil the bunch.Today I was greeted with someone who couldn’t have been less helpful if he tried. He looked at me as if I had two heads when I told him Kohl’s told us to bring the item there. His response was “Yeah, and?”. I’m all like sorry man, I’ve never had to return an Amazon item at UPS. His response is “yeah, I don’t use Amazon”. So I ask him if they do take Amazon returns. He says “yeah, all the time.” So I ask what I need to do to be like them, and he says “they come in prepared”.Then he says they have the shipping label in their phone. I’m like ok, now we’re talking, something helpful. I pull it up and he says “now you have to print it, I suppose you can use one of those customer computers to print it”.That’s when this place lost my future business.I was embarrassed enough going in there not understanding the process, but the way this employee spoke down to me was completely demeaning. I didnt Catch the name, but he has wandering eyes and a baseball cap.
After leaving the store, I’m blown away with the quality of service. This store and their staff are exceptional! Matan was able to entertain my son while printing and mailing my older daughter’s graduation invitations. If you need anything, this is the place to go. Would highly recommend!
Ship all my important demo equipment world wide from this location. Always very professional and patient. There have been a few times I needed to make last minute changes to the shipping addresses or recipient and they have always helped me with those last minute changes with out any fuss. Great service guys, keep it up!
We went there to seek assistance about a package and he just says No just call the customer service we can’t help and that they are just a store. We wanted to ask if they could at least look up their system and tell us where the package is but No he was not willing to do that as well. We even tried alling UPS customer service and can’t seem to speak to an agent even after multiple tries. They just say that that is not the right tracking number and that they need a tracking number to be able to speak to an agent. How unprofessional and useless, UPS SUCKS!!
I came to ship an item with a merchant return label.The store attendant is pointing to a rip on the box, trying to make me purchase another.I’ve asked to tape it, and he won’t let me use any tape, he will not let me have it back, because he scanned the label already.He said he will tape the top of the box but won’t guarantee the box would be accepted (hinting me that he won’t tape the ripped part).I’ve asked to see how it is taped, and he won’t let me see that either...saying he can’t let me go to the back, like he can’t tape it right there in the front of the store.I’ve asked to speak to a manger, and he said he can’t do this, all he can do, is give me a business card with the store phone number on it.He doesn’t want to let me know when I can find the manager in the store either.I don’t know if this is how the employee had been instructed to deal with clients, or this just his own personal attitude.I would stay away from this place for sure.
I will be very honest.UPS has poor service in terms of package delivery compared to FEDEX. UPS delivery drivers are so lazy and all they can do is leave a We are sorry we missed you note. at your door even if youre actually home and stayed home whole day waiting for the packages. They are so lazy as n dont want to carry the package upstairs or at the very least drop it at the front door but would rather give you extra work to go to the leasing office and pick the packages by yourself. This has been happening everytime I receive a package with UPS. No body actually knocks at your door to let you know your package has arrived, all they always do is leave a note which is really inconveniencing. I had to call my business suppliers in Europe to never use UPS again and always send my packages with FEDEX because they care to knock at my door and let me know my package has arrived and sometimes even ask for help lifting my packages which I really dont mind. I know FEdex is more expensive , 200 $ more when I ship with them but I dont mind paying 800$ for a company that cares about their customers and will not be using UPS again!!! Im so unhappy with their service!
Please note that most of the poor reviews are prior to the new ownership. Matan and the new staff are excellent, they go above and beyond for their customers. We use their on site mailboxes and mailing address for our small business and I highly recommend that service. When Matan sees me pull up, he often brings my mail out to me because he knows I have small children in the car with me. I wish more small businesses had that personal relationship with the customers.
Think twice before you send package from here. Two packages missing. I have a receipt with tracking numbers, but they are not at the system . Can not even fail a claim online . I spent hours online and on the phone . Everyone I spoke to says: this tracking numbers have no record. And nothing can be done . Absolutely strange and disappointing.
I needed 1 item laminated & I had my small grandkids with me. I parked right outside the door & called to make sure that they did it. I told the gal that I didnt want to unpack my kids if they didnt. She came to my car to grab it & took it in to laminate for me. That was so nice. I really appreciated it. Thank you. I will be using this store again.
I have only gone to this location out of need and convenience for the past two years. After leaving the store yesterday, I now can say it was the best experience I’ve ever had there, and I will be gladly going back! The NEW owner helped me unlike the old rude lady who used to work there. This NEW owner took care of everything I needed, made me laugh and I will be coming back to do all my printing with him. Did I forget, the old owners are GONE!
I called in to see if my package was there the young man actually forgot I was on the phone and was talking to everyone about things that have nothing to do with the business. I held on the phone for 10 minutes and he never came back. I actually heard him using profanity. I will never have anything ship here for pickup again.
Theres an old man there who works everytime I seem to come in. I go there a lot as I have my own business and ship my items out to people across the united states. He is mean. He huffs loudly at you. He rolls his eyes. He is confrontational. He doesnt seem content in his job and seems to take it out on customers. He once made a younger girl get all emotional because she had never shipped something before and he wasnt patient, just belittled her until she left. Awful employee.
Older man there was very rude to me. Was trying to charge me for things that I did not ask for, and when I questioned him about the total cost, he admitted he had added items on to my shipping order. He was incredibly slow and not helpful at all. I ended up going to the Lake Zurich location to ship my things instead.
I had a nightmare experience with a third party seller product on Amazon. I essentially was stuck with a 160 pound pile of poop because the chair that was bought for me (dont buy a Mecor brand massage chair/recliner) was broken, terrible quality, etc. The seller would not do anything except come to my house for a merchandise pickup. However, the seller also required me to re-pack the merchandise at my expense. Considering the flimsy box that the chair was transported in disintegrated by the time it arrived at my house, I needed a new box. I went to every hardware/big box and moving store I could find looking for a box that was large enough to resend this POS chair, and everyone looked at me like I had a 3rd eye poking out from my forehead when I gave them the box specifications. Finally, this UPS Store told me no problem and boxed the chair by combining three smaller boxes. They even kept the chair at their facility until the correct shipping label came from the seller. Kudos to this store and its employees, especially Matan and Alexis.
I was doing an Amazon return and saw that I could buy my Christmas stamps there. So I asked foy 5 books. Paid and went to my car. Then I calculated and realized it should have been 50.00 not 60.00. Went back in and asked why and they stated it is a convience fee of 2.00 a book which is what the USPS charges them. Bull. All sales final (is displayed) yet they dont disclose their fee! Never will step foot in their store again. Rip off!
The place itself is not bad Ive never had an issue with any packages with tracking or scanning or delivery. I do however, have an issue with the old Santa Claus looking man that always works there when I come in and treats me like I am a child. I am 30 years old but every time I walk in he instantly treats me like a teenager, belittling me, grunting at me, even raising his voice a couple times making me feel extremely uncomfortable. I feel like a scared little kid in trouble by her dad or something. I go in there to just give him a package with a prepaid label on it and everything I literally just handed to him and say here you go thank you have a great day and he acts like it is the hardest thing he has to do in his entire day, but it is his job so I dont understand his confrontational nature. scared like a little kid in trouble by her dad or something. I recently visited for their notary service. Matan, the employee who helped me, was knowledgable, friendly and very helpful. During my visit, i witnessed him assist 3 or 4 other customers and displayed those same qualities in each case. I would much rather have quality service at a fair price than lousy service...even if it is free... Thank you for providing such excellent service.

2022-07-18Went in there to return some rotors from Amazon that didn’t fit, staff was super helpful and even gave me a cart to bring them in from my car because they do weight a bit. Overall great experience and made everything easy! Appreciate their work.

2022-07-08Sorry to say, but my experience at that store was horrible. I needed a spousal consent form to withdraw money from a retirement account signed by my wife and notarized, with specific instructions clearly stating that the notary required was specific to the spouses signature only. Because I had already signed documents pertaining to me that did not need spousal consent (its my account), the so-called notary refused to notarize the spousal consent because I had already signed, even though I offered to provide identification. Of course, as always, when you try to show them in the documents where it says the notary is required only for the spouses signature, the so-called notary quickly defaults to the all too familiar I dont want to argue response, which people of color like my wife and I have heard ad nauseum. Suffice to say, I will never visit that place and encourage others to follow suit. I dont know why I didnt do this in the beginning, but my wife said lets go to our bank down the street, where an employee and professional notary was very kind and gracious and notarized the document with no questions asked, other than a drivers license for identification from my wife.

2022-02-22***** PLEASE DONT GET FOOLED GOING TO THIS STORE*****0 Stars for this Store. I went here to notarize documents and was charged $5 when the charge mandated by illinois is $1. He fooled me saying that the illinois has increased the rate and thats why they are charging it. As per the 2022 update by American Association of Nortary nothing has changed from last year. Today when i asked him about the charge he started shouting at me and denied the service. I am looking to report this to all authorities possible.

2021-12-29One of worst UPS locations. they damaged my package with new year gifts right before the holidays, and didn’t even want to give me a chance to come out and see what was wrong with the package. i mean if it wasn’t bad i could still pick it up. but they didn’t care, i tried to explain over the phone that it was important to me but she just wished me a good night and hung up. thank you for ruining my holidays. and for being your rude unprofessional self.

2021-12-21I would give this store 5 stars for dropping off Amazon FBA. But today an older gentleman tried to use a blank label to cover FBA label on box. I asked him not to and he didnt but its a huge issue when you ship many boxes to FBA. If those labels are covered thats a lot of delay and possibly loss of products. Must say all boxes shipped from this location made it to destinations without issues. All people working are friendly enough for me)

2021-08-12These guys were fantastic! I had sold a piece of furniture online and the buyer pre-paid through the selling app to have the item packaged AND shipped by UPS, and the instructions were to go to a UPS Store and drop off the item for packaging and shipping and provided QR codes for everything. I went to the one closest to my house, but the employee dismissed me without even seeing the piece of furniture being shipped and said No, I dont do that. I asked her what I should do since the buyer PAID for this service and her response was package it yourself, I dont know what to tell you. I ended up calling UPS for help and being sent to a few locations in Palatine and found this UPS Store that DID take the time to help and package the item. THANK YOU for your help Alan and the other employee (I dont recall your name), I appreciate that this was something you havent done before through a corporate account via a mobile shopping app and you really made my day by just giving it a try. I am VERY grateful!

2021-07-30My first experience with them they had a limited selection of shipping material and the multiple envelopes they provided ended up being damaging along with the products I had shipped. Since then Ive made 2 trips here in the last month and had bad experiences both times. Their printing service in shop is useless for anything other than basic PDF documents and the staff is rude if you have an issue. I needed a refund for a bad print job and the person I spoke with didnt want to help so he said I had to go through corporate. I called corporate and they said the store should have issued it. Another time I went to print a PDF and discovered several months of other peoples backlogged documents, likely with personal or confidential information, that had never been deleted. I informed the person at the desk (same one as before) of this and they said whatever so I manually deleted what I could. There are much better UPS locations not 5 miles from this one. I wouldnt say this is an issue with UPS as a whole but with this location specifically.
