The Tile Shop in other cities:
GO SEE CONNOR!!! The Tile Shop in Naperville has an amazing selection and a super friendly staff. I had to find a tile for my master bathroom shower that would work with my existing floor. It was not an easy task. Connor walked me through the show room, order samples and gave me the guidance I needed to find the right tile. He was so patient and followed through with helping me select the finishing pieces and materials I needed.
Went there looking for backsplash tiles and found a massive selection to choose from. Of course we picked a discontinued tile but Conner did a great job locating the six boxes we needed at another store and had them at our front door in 2 hours! What more could you ask for?
BAM! Great Prices, Good Selection, Excellent Customer Service!Recently completed a major remodel of our master bath to a steam room. We have used them in the past and were happy. We found the people at The Tile Shop to be fantastic. They have a great selection or quality products. Helped us chose a design that was perfect. We found their ultimate prices to be quite competitive.Where they really excelled is handling an issue with regard to an issue we had with the right components. Long story, but he bottom line is they made it right without a lot of hassle. Connor Fitzpatrick was our salesperson and he was knowledgeable and helpful. For these reasons, we will be using the The Tile Shop for ALL of our tile projects.
Displays seemed old and outdated. The place was filthy, like it hadnt been cleaned in months. Maybe dirty grout and cracked tiles are supposed to give you a lived-in feel? I expected so much more from a store that costs twice as much as the tile place down the street.
Connor Fitzpatrick was an important contributor to the success of my recent master bathroom project — from helping me select shower wall, floor and accent tiles and floor tile to helping me troubleshoot and resolve a significant contractor issue. The Tile Shop offered exceptional customer service from start to finish. Highly recommend.
The store has so many great selections of tiles to choose from, but most importantly the customer service was on point, Connor went above and beyond helping me with the selection of all the tiles for my large project, and he continued helping me throughout making sure I had everything I needed on time to successfully complete my project, Im very happy with how everything turned out. Thank you again!!
The Tile shop-1267, Rickert Drive, Naperville, IL location.Biyas was very helpful store employee with at most care and focus on customer needs. She was not just selling but selling the one that fits into customers needs. She spend good amount of time and as much time as needed for the customers than rushing through. She has followed through follow up calls and ready with options during the planned visits. highly recommend her and the store experience was very good.
Our first experience at the Tile Shop we encountered Connor Fitzpatrick, and are we glad we met him! He acted like he owned the place, that’s how knowledgeable he was! He knows tile inside and out! He set us up with everything we needed and we were on our way. Fast forward four months later, I had to call our contractors that did our main bath because we had a chipped tile, and also the grout was cracking. Well, needless to say, our contractors told us to call the Tile Shop, because they weren’t responsible! What?! So I of course called Connor, and he put me in touch with the store manager Tom Kletnick. (My new Favorite Person) I sent him pictures and he and Connor concluded that it wasn’t a tile problem, but a grout problem which was Totally our contractor’s fault. But our contractors had been paid their money, so they decided Not to take responsibility for the problem, and totally ghosted us! But, this story has a Happy ending because even though our issue had absolutely nothing to do with the tile we bought, Tom took complete ownership of it, and he set us up with an Expert Tiler. The Tile guy Al, came out on his day off, on a Sunday, to correct my contractor’s inferior work!! Thank you Tom for being the Amazing employee that you are!! You didn’t have to help us because our problem didn’t have anything to do with your product, yet you stood up for us, you hooked us up with an Expert, and our shower looks fresh and new, all Thanks to you, Connor and Al!! So, if anyone is wondering if they should buy their tile from the Tile Shop, the answer is YES!!
Worst store in existence, will never go here again, the one in Lombard is MILES above in customer service and overall experience. My wife came here to do a pickup of an order and the gentleman who helped here couldnt even be bothered to get off his cell phone with a personal call, just pointed and was difficult, she also needed caulk to match the grout we had ordered and again didnt even want to be bothered helping her. When she got home she flat out said had we gone here, we would have never bought anything from them Theyre lucky the Lombard location was so good. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store like the plague....
We are currently in the middle of a kitchen remodel and our contractor referred us to The Tile Shop. He called a sales associate/design consultant, who then called me to set up an appointment. I had already been there once to choose my base tile, which I selected on my own, and headed back in to choose a tile for under our hood. After I chose the tile and my contractor let me know how much I would need, I was ready to purchase. When I got the total, I was shocked. It was very expensive. The base tile was $11.49 a square foot. After looking online, I found it at a different, reputable store for $4.49 a square foot. Huge difference! I always like to be honest, so I let the saleswoman know where I had found it and for what price. She offered a small discount but it was still nowhere near this price. I told her I was going to purchase this tile online (I had picked this one out myself at the store), but I would still purchase, from her, the other tile that she had recommended and all of the marble pencil rails that she helped me pick out. This was still quite expensive. She told me that if I didn’t purchase the base tiles from there, I would not be getting the same quality tile and I was not even getting the same tile because they manufacture all of their own tile. Well, this tile was a Spanish company. The tile I received from the other place is the same exact company from Spain- same box, same tiles, same quality. As I mentioned, the price for what I did purchase at the Tile Shop was still high. After paying, I showed my contractor the receipt and we realized his discount was not applied. I emailed our saleswoman and she told me that his discount was not applied because he didn’t tell her to do that. I was confused because he called her directly, shared my contact information with her and told her that he was doing our kitchen. Apparently, that was not enough. Then she told me it was too late anyways and she would be happy to apply a 20% discount to my next order. Nope. I called corporate customer service and they said they would handle it and talk to her. I need to now bring in my receipt, return that transaction and buy it again so the discount could be applied. Seriously? I really try and give people the benefit of the doubt and am honest, and I feel like I was taken advantage in two ways. First, I was not told the truth about the tile I ended up ordering from a different company. This was not manufactured by the Tile Shop and the tile I received from a different company was no different than the tile they had. There was no way this tile was made in-house there, it says Made in Spain on the back. Second, it was clear and obvious that my contractor referred me and this was his job. At no time, did anyone at The Tile Shop tell me about the contractor discount, even though my contractor had talked to them personally. It was just a disappointing experience overall and one that left me not wanting to give my business to them in the future.
Conor - we have been working with Conor for 2 years and he has been helping us to find the right material for our fireplace, kitchen tile. And now year after - going back there for bathroom remodeling. Conor always has good selection, taste and pricing. highly recommend him! he saved us a lot of leg work and we didnt have to go anywhere else.
I needed to select basic backsplash tile for a kitchen renovation. There was a large selection of various colors, brown, gold, but limited in choices that needed to be mostly white. I did find one pattern which was acceptable. Prices varied widely, but my selection came in close to the builders recommendations. The ob was completed without any problems,
Great customer service experience here with a phone in. Having an issue with spotting on our floor with little knowledge of current tile make, model, or material at this point! Spoke with an awesome rep Tom. He listened, had me text him photos, and ran me through a few cleaning options and products. I was blown away. Customer service experiences like this are unheard of. The Tile Shop and their rockstar employee Tom have me as a client for life! Give the man a raise!! Thanks again.
We have been into this shop about 10 visits. The employees remembered us after the first visit. We decided to use this shop for our tile needs and design for our hall bath. We can go back to buy additional tile each time I changed the design. We could get advice and excellent service and prices.
Buyer Beware!!!I used to work at the Tile Shop a few years back. They were shady then and they are still shady now. Much to my dismay and without my knowledge, my wife purchased 20 pieces of discontinued back splash tile from Mathew a former co-worker of mine. Because they didnt have enough pieces and some that they had were broken, Mathew ordered from all over the country to make sure we received our full order in good condition. When I picked them up Mathew mentioned that he made sure that the tile would be in good condition if not he will get me more from another location or a full refund. Considering he is a former co-worker, I took his word for it and accepted the tile. Upon getting the tile home and fully inspecting it I found that every single piece was broken. If a few pieces are broken its not a big deal as they can be repaired since its the skinny linear pieces, but our installer stated that because of how many pieces were broken he would have to charge an extra couple hundred dollars if he could install the tile at all as it would take a lot long to install. This was not acceptable to me. Upon calling Mathew back he indicated that he could get me a full refund of the tile if I would like. We decided to think about it for a few days. In calling back, Mathew was on vacation and I spoke with a manager named Tom. Tom stated that because the tile is discontinued he could not issue a refund and had no interest in honoring what Mathew told me. Tom would only state that Mathew had no authority to offer me a refund and that it is against store policy to refund discontinued tile. We went back and forth and eventually he agreed to give me store credit on half and a cash refund for the other half based on a technicality that was in my favor because Mathew only closed out half of the order. He continued to state it did not matter what Mathew told me as it is against store policy to refund discontinued tile.I feel like Tom the manager does not care about what is right or wrong for the customer or what his own associates informed the customers. This is not so different than how management was when I worked for them a few years back. Im fairly certain that if I did not get the manager involved, the original salesman would have been able to take care of this for me without a problem. It was just my luck that Mathew had been on vacation. Tom continued to state that he could not give me the full refund as it is just not possible. I think we all know that its a matter of willingness not a matter of can or cant. Tom was just not willing to do the right thing. Really Tom? Do you really need the $150 in business that bad? Business must be slow... I hope this 1 star review was worth the $150 in store credit.
After carefully considering all the floor model baths, we decided on the one that is seen immediately upon entering the store. We were disappointed to find out that tile was discontinued. However, I have to say that the young man who then tried to help us find a similar replacement, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, but to no avail. The display should have been taken down if the tiles are discontinued.
The Tile Shop was the place I needed. Although I love doing my own designing and shopping , I found planning tile to be very intimidating especially at the big box stores. When I was at the tile shop I received the help and support I needed to complete my project with the style and budget I wanted . Giana , my designer, was available, helpful, and always professional !
Whats going on with The Tile Shop. I have had great service in the past. The associates are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are able to make design suggestions and will take back unused material. You must negotiate the price, so do your homework. However, my latest order isnt going so well. They apparently put in a new computer system the first of the year. I have been waiting over two weeks for my tile to come in. It was supposed to be in a week ago and it wasnt. Then it was supposed to have been in on Monday (today is Thursday). I just went to pick it up and was told it wasnt in yet. Now it is supposed to be in tomorrow. Well see. Meanwhile, my bathroom is torn up.Update: It didnt come in. The new promise date is Sunday. Im about to give up and go somewhere else.
I had a wonderful experience at the tile shop working with Giana Casale. During our kitchen refresh, I needed to match 20 year old tile with a tile backsplash that matched. Giana did an excellent job brainstorming with me and solving the problem. The finished result looks great!!!
I have to admit Im extremely disappointed in this stores communication. My family and I have bought numerous products from here and they have failed on communication numerous times. I had an order scheduled to be picked up on a Thursday and an appointment with a contractor on Saturday at 830am to install a backsplash with the tile I purchased. When I went in on Friday to pick up the tile, I was informed oh- it didnt come in. I asked whether or not it is normal not to tell a customer if their order doesnt come in and I was told uh yea. Great to know considering it was 4pm on Friday and I had to cancel and reschedule the appointment for the installation with no notice and wasted my time gong to the store in the first place. So disappointing!
DO NOT go here, returns should never be a hassle!!!I purchased $86 of returnable samples on 2/24/19. I went to return these samples 1 week later and found it to be A COMPLETE HASSLE. The day I went there for the return, I was given some excuse they could not complete the return until later on the in the day. Several days later, nothing. So, I had to go back there at which time their manager, Thomas Kletnick said he would do it later and call me. Nothing again. So, I had to go there again at which time Thomas then said I would get a check for the return for only a portion of the return with the other part back on my credit card... I got the check but NOT the other credit due on my credit card? I emailed their manager (Thomas Kletnick) and told him about the balance due on my card and never got a response back?? Sorry, but this is not acceptable as returns are electronically very easy to do. DO NOT GO THERE TO BUY...returns should not be this much of a hassle!!!!

The sales staff works on commission. If you run out of pieces and need extra, they will lie to get you in there to make the sale at that location, and then send you to another to pick up. Just happened to me. Brian said he had 20 pieces, got there, they only had 8. Then had to go to another store to get the rest after he made the sale and the commission. I wanted to return it and give the commission to the other store, but they were too busy and the salesman was uninterested.

2022-05-22Biyas went above and beyond to help me choose the right grout color for my master bathroom reno’s newly tiled shower. If it wasn’t for her, I would of picked something that would of not matched as perfectly as this beautiful whisper gray does. She really cares about helping her customers and is so knowledgeable about the products and materials. She even got back to me after store hours to answer a question I had. Thank you so much Biyas for all of your help, my new shower looks amazing because of you! 😊

2022-08-19The associate, Jeanette, was so helpful. I was having such a terrible time with Studio 41 and she was a breath of fresh air. She coordinated with my installer when I was out of town. The tile I ended up with looked fantastic and is really great quality. All delivered in great condition. Great product, great price, great service.

2022-04-21Did a master bath major overhaul myself and Connor set me up with everything. Very happy with how it turned out and all I did was pick out the tile and tell him the dimensions and what I wanted it to look like. By the time I was done I used everything he set me up with from the Wedi system, mortar, grout, tile etc. without coming up short on anything or having a pile of unused material. Any questions along the way he responded immediately.

2022-07-28Im remodeling my master bathroom and couldnt decide on floor and wall tile. Id shopped at several places, showing the designers pictures and tile samples I liked, but always walked away with second thoughts. Finally took those tile samples and pics to this Tile Shop location, and met with Connor. He listened more than he talked, showed me some tile samples that I fell in love with, and suggested I stick with one of the accent tiles I brought in. In 20 minutes I was done, no second thoughts. My schedule is more hectic than usual, but Connor and the shops delivery rep, Terrell, worked with it. Terrell showed up when he promised, and couldnt have been nicer. And I love my bathroom, Connors suggestions were great.Ideal experience!

2021-11-06We recently shopped at tile shop as we are remodeling our bathrooms. They had the most displays of any store in the area which helped us choose our design. They also have a great selection of tile at a reasonable price. What we were most impressed by was the service. We were helped by Jeanna Valentin who was incredibly friendly and helped us choose our tile. She had a design background which was very much appreciated. She was proactive in speaking with our contractor to make sure our tile was ordered timely. We will definitely be back next time and recommend to all our friends.

2022-02-10I would never recommend purchasing anything from this store. We met a friendly sales associate named “Conor” who guided us through the tile section to help find some options for our master bathroom. We would look at some options and he would reassure he would give us a discount and “take care of us”. He was knowledgeable and helpful no doubt- however it’s offensive to pretend like you’re giving someone a good deal when you mark up the prices three times what floor and decor offers. My favorite line was when he said he would sell us these marble pieces we needed for the outside of the shower. He goes, “these are typically 120$ a piece- but for you guys? 85!” So we think, okay awesome! Lo and behold we pop over to floor and decor because I’m thinking something isn’t right, he charged us close to 700$ for subway tile and a few other things just didn’t add up- we discover the same exact marble pieces for 40$ each, and the subway tile was more than 60% cheaper. We returned our purchases back to the tile shop and won’t return there for future business. I think there is a way to be a successful salesman without taking advantage of people and worse, making them look stupid. He also was not transparent in pricing when he got our receipt, nothing was broken down which we were confused by- the prices were listed after our pickup. So, lesson learned- Conor. Well played sir. My best advice? Walk through, get some advice- find what you’re looking for…then go to floor and decor and buy it. No ethics, and crazy price hikes, would never recommend anyone to go here.
