Kelly, Tiffany and the rest of the staff are outstanding. Theyre all very professional & knowledgeable and are also easy to talk to while youre in the chair. They know how to deliver a quality haircut in quick fashion. Ive been going here for a few months and dont think Ill be leaving anytime soon!
Today it was my first time at this barber shop. I must say that i am pretty impressed. This was the best haircut i’ve had in a while. Very professional and very friendly staff. Definitely will come back.

Kelly has been cutting my hair now for over a year and in that time she never disappoints. Every visit is met with great conversations and a lot of laughter. I actually enjoy getting my haircut. I highly recommend going to The Striped Pole for either a hair cut or go in to see Tiffany for a shave.
Got a haircut here for the first time and came away very satisfied! Jennifer was very congenial and had some great recommendations on my hair as well as greater Chicagoland - much appreciated as I recently moved here! She did a great low fade and had some great tips on how to manage my hairstyle to get it how Id like it. Recommended some products without being pushy and invited me back - Ill definitely be getting my next trim here!
My husband goes here and absolutely LOVES it. He saw Jennifer last time and his hair looks amazing and way better than the place he used to go. She was really sweet and professional and understood exactly what he wanted his haircut to look like (hes rather picky). Definitely going back to her!
I have to say I guess I really didnt know what having the right barber shop meant until I started coming to The Striped Pole. I used to kind of bounce around, but once Kelly started cutting my hair I dont think I will trust anyone else. Kelly is the owner and she makes sure that anyone working for her there meets her own high standards in skill and professionalism. The facilities are kept clean and the online booking system is very efficient and easy to use. I highly recommend giving The Striped Pole a try!.. not bad on the eyes either.
This is my go-to for haircuts. Been seeing Mara for over a year and she is a wonderful stylist. She takes time to cut my hair right. The environment is great and prices reasonable.
I’ve been getting bad haircuts for as long as I can remember, Kelly cut my hair perfect from the first time I’ve been there, and has been giving me perfect cuts ever since. My only issue is having to book so far in advance, but last Jonny cut my hair, and lined beard better than ever. So no matter who you get at the striped pole you will walk out fresh AF!
I’ve been going to Striped Pole for about a year now. Tiffany did such a great job the first time that I don’t go anywhere else! Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. I highly recommend The Striped Pole and 100% recommend Tiffany.
Great place, great service, great haircut! I have been coming here for several years and always have a positive experience. It is easy to book an appointment online, so no waiting around or putting your name on a list when you arrive. Kelly has been there for several years and just took over as the owner. She has freshened things up and hired additional staff to handle walk-ins.
Tiffany has been cutting my hair since she started at the striped pole. These days it’s hard to find anyone who can do a true fade. She does such an amazing job! I recommend her to anyone looked for a clean cut.
Been going here for 6 or 7 years and wont go elsewhere. Always a perfect cut, plus good music and easy to set an appointment online. I usually go to Kelly but when Ive had others the haircut has always been spot on as well.
Kelly has done my hair for the past 2.5 years and has always done an exceptional job. Do yourself a favor, stop going to sports clips, stop cutting your own hair, and enjoy what a barbershop should be. Great people, great conversation, and always an excellent cut.

The haircut I have got from Sofia is excellent. The salon is very nice and conveniently located. Sofia did exactly understand what I wanted and she did her work with great precision and a good eye for the small details - a true professional. Walked in for a beard trim and met Johnny. Ive never had a professional beard trim before, but had watched plenty of videos on YouTube and got exactly the experience I hoped for. He took his time and listened to what I wanted. When he was done he asked anything else? and I ended up getting a straight razor head shave too. Steady handed and good conversationalist. Worth the wait. Next time Ill definitely make an appointment first

I have searched for a place to cut my hair that has the atmosphere and enjoyment of an old style barbershop. This is really the place. If you like to get your haircut and enjoy a light conversation with people who really care that you look the best way you can then seriously come to this place. I have learned a lot about how to take care of my hair and beard from Paul. He is simply amazing person that brings so much great knowledge to his field.

Shes super attentive, listens to what you want, and will also give suggestions if you are open to them.
Paul is GREAT! As long as I have hair I will be coming here for my haircut. I gave up on chop-shop hair cut places awhile ago and it took me awhile to find a barbershop worth the money. Striped Pole offers a great online booking tool, everyone is friendly, and by far the best professional haircut you can get for the money.

Some men would say a hair cut is just a hair cut. No matter if you style it or not. I met Marty at The Striped Pole a few months back and the first time sitting in his chair he said to me A haircut should look just as good with nothing in it.. I was sold. Ive only been in a 3 or 4 times so far, but ever since Marty started to cut my hair, people have noticed his work many times over with nothing but compliments. He has the experience. All of my sessions are no more than 20 mins. Im pretty simple and I could not be happier with the service that is provided at The Striped Pole. So, Im not going to say you have to try this place out. I mean, seriously, if it isnt broke, why fix it? But, if you are considering a change because of relocating to the area, your previous barber/stylist/hair surgeon retired or relocated themselves. I would highly recommend The Striped Pole.

Speaker as a costumer of 2+ years, what makes this place stand out is attention to detail; you certainly dont feel like a number. Sofia listened to what kind of hairstyle I wanted, pointed out what would work, and gave me tips. It is a hard work - lot of effort is put into the haircut. The haircuts sometimes even can take longer than 30min . It is often consistent, detailed to your requests, and top quality for sure!

The barber was unhappy because I wanted to get a new hairstyle...I guess if they spend longer then 20 minutes with you they are no longer making a profit. I paid the $25 and never returned.

2022-08-21I havent had a haircut in a while so I figured I should try out this place. Jessica was my barber and let me just say I LOVE my haircut! Jessica was so kind in general, and also very helpful when it came to deciding what I should do with my hair. Ive never had such a great experience at a barbershop before. I would recommend coming here!

2021-12-11I’ve been getting my hair cut by Jennifer for a couple of years now. She knows what I want, and does the cut just right every time. She’s always prompt, and remembers stuff that we’ve talked about before, and asks about it. She’s really good at what she does. The whole staff seems to be, but my first person left, so when Jennifer came, she just did it right, and that’s all there is to it.

2022-02-14Great place to get your hair cut at. Staff is very friendly and like to keep the atmosphere light and have some fun. I personally go to Jennifer and followed her from a different place she worked at. Price is in line for what youd expect for a professional hair cut. If you want a cheap price go get a $5 hair cut, but if you want to look and feel good and have an real professional do your hair you need to come here.Update: still a great place!

2021-01-08Just moved here from New Jersey. Took me a while there to find a good barber there, who I had for four years. Came out here and found my new place and person immediately. Mara was nice, professional, and gave an excellent haircut. Fair prices compared to other places that I saw. Will definitely be back in a few weeks.
