Very rude cashier while trying to return an item and trying to understand the new policies the chashier Yireen was very rude almost slapped with the receipt yelling that is the corporate is the corporate!! I was just looking for and explanation of why cant return and item that I bought yesterday she just keept saying call corporate and yelling very unprofessional and rude lady
I will never buy anything from this place again because once you return it for them to refund your money back to your account it takes almost 20 days before you can get your money back I will never do business with home Depot again Menards will be my place of business because it doesnt take that long for you guys to take money from us from a purchase but when we tried to return or get a refund its a problem with the merchant release and the payments
Worst experience I’ve ever encountered coming into a store. Most employees are on their phones not greeting anyone nor helping. Also most of them not in uniform. We came in to purchase material for our remodeling project in our business building. When asking Cashier Felipe for a cart he was very dismissive and said I could find them outside. I went outside and there was none other than in the parking lot. With plenty employees I can’t believe there wasn’t at least one getting carts. Okay no problem. 5 months pregnant I guess I need a cart so I’ll go get one in the rain. When coming back I asked the same associate if there was anything to dry it with and he said no walking away. Javon also in the cashiers heard and was kind to get me towels to dry as much as I could. For sure not coming to this location even though it’s one of the closer ones.We called a different location and placed our order for our remaining material.
Kinda sad what happened to home depot customer service - and this started way before the pandemic so its not a staffing issue. Before employees were proactive in helping folks, but nowadays if you need help youre basically SOL. I cant count the number of times Ive had to help random strangers with questions about what they should be buying, or where something can be found. Im fortunate in that I know my way around but I can only imagine what its like for ppl who dont really know much about construction/home improvement etc. I do appreciate1) their return/exchange policy2) you can get great deals in the garden center at end of the season
The supervisor tonight at returns/customer service denied my attempt to return an item because it was defective. Another employee told me on the way out that he could accept it, but she said it wasn’t allowed. When I returned my item to another Home Depot, the employee there said that it should have been accepted, and that she probably didn’t want to deal with the extra work because it was defective. Such a waste of time.
I like the garden gems that they sell here. They have a key copy making machine that works just fine. I also like the self checkout that allows me to get my receipt via email. They have plenty of parking space at the lot. It is a very busy place. No one asked me to wear my mask though.
Last Wednesday I walked in to this home depot with list of items orders that my general contractor told me to order. I was very stressed. I need some good help and here is LA.LA. SHE WAS A ANGALE she told me what to do, she helped me with everything E V E R Y T H I N G . step by step she helped me helped me to make a 3.000$ order much much easier. God bless you Lashonor.
I Needed help getting blinds cut and I asked for help first and an associate called for help over the pa system to the aisle I was in and no one came. I called the store number from my cell phone for help in flooring the young woman in the call center was going to forward my call to the flooring desk without knowing if an associate is even there I stopped her quickly to ask if an associate was here for flooring and she quickly found out and said no one was here working in flooring so she called for a a manager to assist in aisle 41 over the pa system. So after approximately 30 minutes of being in the store in aisle 41 Elian from Plumbing came to cut my blinds. I am very thankful that he was able to cut them. When I left the store I didnt know Elians name so I called the store to find out and I ended up getting the ASM Jose on the phone (who was standing around before and after I got help in aisle 41) and when I tried to describe him he said he didnt know who I was speaking of I even told him that he (Jose) was standing at the end of the aisle while he was cutting my blinds and he still said he didnt know who I was speaking of and was not going to try and find out until I asked. Your ASMs should be knowledgeable in every thing in the store especially cutting services not just the departments they are assigned to so when a situation like this happens he (Jose) would not have to ask other people do they know how to cut blinds.
I called last Saturday 4/3/21 and spoke with Kassie/Cassie? I was SO delighted by the level of customer service that I received over the phone. My question was vague and likely annoying and she took the time to ask the right set of questions to steer me in the direction I needed to be. She THEN told me she was new, which made it all the more impressive. She called me back later in the day to give me the exact information that I needed. She was patient and kind and very impressive. Yall are lucky to have someone who clearly cares so much.
Most of the Home Depot stores in the area are good very good. This one is terrible. First hit of advice if you need a lumber cart get it in the parking lot prior to coming inside. No effort is made to make sure they are available. Secondly if you’re a contractor and need to do a phone sale or go through the bid room forget about it. They get in no hurry at the contractor desk. I’ve been standing here for 10 minutes and the line hasn’t moved ... unbelievable. I get faster service in the sleepy suburbs stores.
Found what I needed and wasnt too crowded, but associates avoid rye contact and dont offer any help. Asked directly what do I do to exchange a propane tank, Im not sure how to do it. And the attendant nicely assisted me in the self check out lane without a word and then walked away for me to put the credit card in, and was never seen again. Leaving me with the same question and $20 less dollars. Store is good, staff leaves something to be desired.
As always. The best customers service ever. After the greeting at the entrance, assigned staff to each department and if one of them is busy, they call for back up right away and describe the issue at hand. Within a couple of minutes the back up shows up and helps tight away. HOME DEPOT STAFF KNOWS all about this hardware store. After helping they ask if theres anything else they could help us with. Now, who could say that HOME DEPOT doesnt love its customers.Sorry no pics.Thank you HOME DEPOT AND STAFF
Couldnt ask for a better team at the Pro Desk. I decided to make this my home store because everyone at the Pro Desk is always positive and in good spirits.This is not a rating for the rest of the store or Home Depot as a whole. I think this organization has a LONG way to go in terms of improvements. Most of my other experiences that include interaction with other Home Depot locations are terrible.
I had ordered a shovel to pick up from the Brickyard location. They called and said they were out but that this Armitage/Cicero location had it and would ship it. Thats fine. They said it would arrive the same day. Great!That was Monday, August 9th. It is now August 15th. And I received nothing. I called them on Friday, the 13th, and asked where it was. They put me on hold, then someone picked up and hung up right away. I called again and they apologized and said it would be sent that same day on Friday, and would even call me to let me know theyre on the way. So today, Sunday the 15th, I called again and they offered to deliver it for tomorrow.I lost all faith in that delivery department and told them Id come pick it up. I did, and the one girl working the Customer Service section was so cold and unfriendly... like she just wanted me to go away quick. And I did. And wont ever come back to this specific location. Trash Customer service.
Earlier today I went to Home Depot to make a return for some wrong size light bulbs I had purchased a couple days earlier. I needed some help and was helped by a young lady in customer service named Paty. Not only was she polite and knowledgeable but she took time out of her day to walk me to the correct isle and purchase the right bulbs. I am so thankful for all of her help.
I bought a stove with an air fryer, the associate put in the wrong model number and I received one without. Called and talked to someone at their 800 number and was told that the stove I received was the one that was listed. He said he couldn’t help me and to go to the store and talk to someone there. 👎🏼
I wish I could give this place a negative -5. One of the workers was trying to sell me a product $450.00 more. Poor salesmanship. The cashier said the lines were closed. Only self checkout was available. Only to take another person to the same line that I was told was closed. Save your money and go were you are treated like the Kings and Queens that were are!!!
For the past 4 months their saw has been down. ALL the saws are down. How do u run a productive business like that??? Good luck on finding an associate there thats willing to help without an attitude as well. You can tell they hate being there. Self check out is a joke. Your cashiers there are rude and clueless as how to run that station. This location has always been one of the worst ones. Ill stick to 1961 instead.
If you need any assistance this isnt the home depot to get it. The guy at customer service was nice and requested for someone to help me, after waiting about 10 minutes no one showed up after several times paging. Glad they have a good return policy, I ended up purchasing several similar items just in case.
Usually this Home Depot is fine, but this time they wasted my time because their hours arent accurate.I needed a last minute tool for a fix on a Saturday night. I called to make sure they were open, and the recording said they were open until 9. Google also says theyre open until 9.I walk 15 minutes to get there, and show up at 8:15pm. The doors are locked, and an employee points at the sign that says theyre open until 8. The sign on the other door says theyre open until 10. There are clearly employees in the store. I call the store again to try to talk to someone, but I was Disconnected for an unknown reason twice.What gives? Huge waste of time, lack of communication. Two sources say youre open, including the store line.
This Home Depot has the worst customer service!I will no longer come to this store because some of the employees they have working in this facility do not know their job well, and don’t look happy in trying to help a customer and they are really good on giving you the run around and making you wait.My first experience: I had my doors measured and I went to Home Depot to place order for doors but the girl who was helping me, said, that Home Depot didn’t make the door in the size I needed in and she was not very friendly. I left disappointed and went to the Home Depot at the Brickyard and the Millwork employees was so helpful, friendly and got me the door in the size that I needed.My second experience: I purchased appliance and the girl who was helping me wasn’t very friendly and with an attitude. The next day I went back to Home Depot and the same girl was there. I told her I wanted to cancel the stove and purchase a different one. She said I had to cancel the entire order which only included microwave and dishwasher. I told her that I spoke to gentleman over the phone and he said I could cancel the stove without canceling the other items, but she was confident that I had to cancel the entire order. I disagreed with her and so I asked to speak to a manager. The girl told me there were no managers in the store which I found odd. A nice man who works there overheard me and asked me what was the issue, I explained to him and he took care of me without a problem. He did the girls job because she didn’t want to do hers in my opinion. Home Depot had a dishwasher for sale online and I wasn’t honored the sale price, the girl said only if you open a Home Depot card.This place has inexperienced people working for them and give you the run around. You really have to find someone who knows what they are doing.I will no longer come to this Home Depot to buy major appliances. I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS TO THE HOME DEPOT AT THE BRICKYARD, the employees at the brickyard know what they are doing and are always willing to help you with a smile
The service here at 1919 Cicero Is horrible! Jenna from the doors department was paged and never came . My mom waited an hour! Gabriella was so kind to help us! She was from another department. Customer service should be a top priority when dealing with the public. It’s sad......
I ordered a bbq grill online for $430.00 , it came in damaged and its parts are covered in oil , most likely its used , i talked with their 3 different customer service representatives and they all ran away without fixing the problem , finally i called directly to the store to see if they could help , after 20 mins of wait the guy who was supposed to help me hung up the phone ! never ever buy from Home depot !
Worse experience ever. Waited over 2 hours for curbside pickup and that was a wasted of time because when they answered they hung up. This Home Depot is horrible, no one answered the phone after our 15th attempt. Then we needed to enter the store to speak to them. Would never recommend this location to anyone.
I was very disappointed. We went in to Home Depot to shop for fencing. We had to wait over 20 minutes before anyone could talk to us to then inform us we had to wait for a call back. We did receive a text a few days later asking us for measurements, details of what we wanted exactly and to send pictures. It was pricey so we decided to wait. We were looking for a professional to come to give is a quote after they saw are hard and the old fencing. It felt as if we werent important to them or that they didnt need us shopping at Home Depot.
I was pleasantly surprised coming here. I came in looking for a few items and was glad to have met Jalisa in hardware aisle. She was very informative and so helpful. She even walked me over to another department I needed help in. Thanks to her I’ll be coming back to this location.
Paint department needs work. First visit I went, person was on lunch which is fine, however no coverage. I was told that I would have to wait 20 minutes if I wanted service so I left. Today I try again and waited 30 minutes. An older lady intercom for service at paint department three times and at that point I left. Went to Menards, spent $130 and got serviced right away.
They convinced me to get a Home Depot credit card which I rarely would agree to, but the cashier was too nice for me to refuse. Since then, Ive returned multiple times, burning up the card and find all the staff to be exceptionally helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Its my go to Home Depot in Puerto Rico
I have a love/hate relationship with HD. If I know EXACTLY what Im looking for Ill go here, otherwise Ill either go to Lowes or Menards.Do NOT expect to find someone to help you. Itll take a while and that person is probably not even knowledgeable of the items.But despite it all this place is great if you know what youre looking for and dont need to ask questions.Garden center is just OK, its not spectacular and theres nothing really special about it. No one will help you if youre pulling lumber, theyll either go around you or not pay attention to you at all. Most of the time I find the employees at the front talking.The nicest employee at that place is always the security guard.
I bought a lawn mower here and it was broken out of the box. So I brought it back and they said they would credit my debit card but they never did..I bought another lawn mower and they charged me for both even though I only got one. I called the bank to dispute the charge to no avail. So now it appears Im out 300 dollars and have no way to get it back.

Everyone I started going here since I went leows brickyard had the worst customer service I ever experienced I will never go there again that place horrible. Ive had a few negative shopping experiences here however on the day July 4th 2017 an energetic delightful young lady MARI (cashier) was eager to 1) engage the customer (myself) .2) took interest in my day 3) gave me a $2 discount on damaged merchant. 4) thanked me for shopping at her store. Im a HD supervisor and I know we set expeditions with all our associates but we dont always get to experience it first hand pleasantly surprised and thank you again .
This location can be a bit messy at times, hard to find help but if you know what you need your most likely to find your way around and find the product you need. For the most part they always have what I need instock and the onhands on the app almost always match the actual onhands in store.
The Armitage and Cicero store been my favorite location.. the New Store manager they have Mirtia is Excellent.. She is very helpful. always has her employees to help me when i need help..i have bought half of my home supplies at this store just because of the management..i will continue to shop here and spend my money.. i really highly recommend this location
This is the worst run home depot in the Chicago land area. Its pretty close to my house and yet I will drive several miles out of my way to go to a different home depot than to suffer the incompetence of this home depot. I just left after waiting 20 minutes to get a key cut because they couldnt find anyone to cut my key and all the people I asked for help just shrugged. Worst home depot ever! Avoid at all costs!
I found Home Depot with quality supplies they offer knowledge about how to put things together they even assisted me a change in my locks show me the type of locks that I needed and how to mount the wall to make a new hole to make a new door I was really impressed with the customer service at Home Depot
Terrible, simply terrible. Bought 2 bags of rock salt. About to leave and security asks me if they can see my receipt. I said why and its as though she didnt even hear me and went into my cart and took it to write a check mark on it. I said to her why she did that without my consent and she simply said its her job. Since when does home depot hire security to treat a buying customer like he could be under suspicion of theft and against his wishes force their will upon him against his consent. If home depot is filled with cameras, with staff, and the customer is checked out by the cashier in front of security, what was the need for security to take my receipt from my cart against my wish not to. Home depot has big problems and they better fix this.

I cant speak enough on the superb customer service and professionalism that Sandra provided when I called regarding an issue with an electric dryer that I purchased online from Home Depot. Sandra resolved the problem and communicated with me every step of the way. You rarely find service like this anymore; and based on my conversations with her, I believe she is a rare and very genuine good heart person. Sandra turned what could have been my last purchase with Home Depot into me looking forward to my next purchase, so that I can specifically go to her location. Thank you Sandra!
This is worset home depot west side of chicago every employee is on their cell phone and ear piece nobody saids hello how can I help you? You need help finding something? When I ask for assistance at the wood cutting department it too 30min for someone to come help me. I was like I should cut my own wood if I can find a way to way work this machine I would do it. But a young guy shows up with just as an attitude like saying to me with his body language n face expressions what you want lady I am busy doing nothing!? He is so annoyed helping me. I dont care just cut my wood. The cashier young girl aka kid on her phone! So unprofessional Really. Her name is Janice I ask her are open she gives me the smerk on her face says yea. No excellent costomer service education what so ever. This location should close down permeability or a new management needs take over set new rules guidelines. Follow the home depot policy hello. The owner of the home depot should be ashamed of this location. I try to avoid coming here but I dont have closer location.
Would of have more stars but the employees who work by the self service registers are rude and unprofessional. The register asks you to pay for bags but there are no bags at the register, you have to ask for bags from the same rude employees. At least what I was looking for was very easy to find.
If I could give zero stars I would, this place is horrible!!! They never answer the phone and when they do the staff that answers never know anything. They will say hold please then transfer you until you get disconnected smh. It’s frustrating, I do not recommend this location at all.
The customer service is horrible! Associates in the paint department took forever to mix paint and they were not knowledgeable about the products. The checkout lines were long and the associate who helped us checkout was not the friendliest. I don’t recommend this Home Depot.
I was going to buy a washing machine but they had only one guy in appliances and he was whiff so customers and they were talking a lot so I asked service guy was there anybody that could help me and he was very rude so I told him that I normally shop at 30th and Cicero and he rd me to go head on
Rental department!I rented a power rodder to rod a sewer line under my house. The staff was very helpful in explaining how the equipment worked, the purpose of all the attachments and some techniques to help make the job easier. The staff also explained how to clean the rodder before returning to store.In short, the rental department at this Home Depot saved me hundreds of dollars. Thanks guys!
The point of social distancing is to protect each other...if your employees arent wearing there masks properly then what good is it...the majority of the employees i saw were not wearing there mask correctly...this and all other stores would be closed in the future if more uninformed employees dont subscribe to the proper way of wearing a mask...bad management
Terrible service at this location every time I purchased something long lines never have bathroom tissues in the mens no one knows were any thing is and when I had to make a special order they sent it to the wrong location??? I will no longer bother using this location even though it is convenient to many of my properties Im fed up with them completely
Had trouble finding what I needed I asked for help to at least 3 guys and none were able to help me . I was giving up n leaving wen I went to an aisle were I found a good guy that greated me asking in what can he help me OCTAVIO awesome person he help me find exactly what I needed actually better than what I needed. Bought a refrigerator had to take it back and they giving me the runaround I cant even get my money back I am having a very bad experience considering this is my very first time with Home Depot I am highly upset my food is still in my sink so that means I might have to throw all of it out
Very RUDE service by the cashier located at auto check out I was trying to get $20 back for my purchase I got charged but the lady wouldn’t give it to me because I didn’t read the sign so I said what should I do and she was yelling at me I should’ve recorded this on my phone I will never go back there again are usually go to the location in Parkridge and they are real nice

2022-03-29Still at it... A year later and still letting customers park and take up the whole fire lane. Major issue. I guess they will only learn when there is fire casualties and a they will be on the news for being wreckless and ignorant of the law.Update.....sure enough...they had a emergency and the fire truck and ambulance had nowhere to park!

2022-07-09Terrible customer service ! I’m not the type to write reviews but the customer service here was awful. My husband and I rented two makita chainsaws at this location for a job we had to do, BOTH of the chainsaws kept turning off on us every time we would try to use it we finally gave up on them . It was already late and the Home Depot closed so we decided to return them the next morning. The machines were defective and they couldn’t do nothing about it not even give us our money back or half or even store credit. We couldn’t even get our job done. The manager even tried blaming us saying he wasn’t going to do nothing and we’re lucky he doesn’t charge us for the damages ! I know we are at fault for not checking the machines before renting them but this is a problem we never had. They shouldn’t be renting out machines that don’t work they just trying to take your money !

2022-04-24I went with my mother God Bless her who LOVES flowers. We went just to look so I could take pictures of the ones she like. That way we could buy it for her on Mothers Day. She came home with 4 and I have pictures of 14 more lol 😆. There are plants to buy for sure.

2022-05-03I live blocks away from this HD and Id rather drive 3 miles to the next one, even in rush hour. I only come here to return items. Worst HD Ive ever been to. Nothing is ever in stock, difficult to find an associate and when you do you get an attitude along with it.

2022-02-01I’ve only been here a few times and for small purchases, but they’ve always had what I needed. They have a big variety and help is always available if you need it. The prices are pretty comparable to other hardware stores and customer service is decent as well.

2022-03-14Store associates need to be trained better,to know where items are. The website also needs updating , states a location for panels then its on entire different aisle.
