Ordered carpet from here. It was contracted to a flooring company for install. They showed up with 2 feet of the carpet missing and now we have to wait (who knows how long) for someone to fix this. Room is completely unusable with missing flooring. Best part we cant get anyone on the phone to even address this. Dont work with Home Depot.
I wish I could give 0. I am sharing my experience with garden center.Beware... Last time I purchased some plants from here, I went to check out and having told them that I need email receipt (I dont like paper receipts), she skipped that part for me and said she couldnt go back now and even added that if you bring a small portion of the plant we will give you full refund. A few days later when I went to return the plant they refused to take it.After two months or so I went to purchase some plants again and this time I told her that I want an email receipt even before she rang, but still she from inside that box skipped where I am able to select that option. But this time I didnt keep quiet and stayed in the line until she re rang everything and give me an email receipt. To me it looks like they might be doing this to all customers. Just be aware of this. To add to all this when you ask for something well within your limits, they show attitude. Very bad customer service...
I had the best experience with Scott and Joe! Went in the store in a frenzy about my chainsaw blade that came off in the middle of a project. Scott came to my rescue and with the aid of Joe, fixed my chain! Super nice guys!! They were so nice and accommodating! Thank you so much for your help!! Will definitely go see them again for help and recommendations on products!
Saw an item online. Home Depot website said store has two. Drove from midway area for about an hour to the store. Customer service clerk s looked in their system and said they have two. Department clerks looked couldnt find it. They said they dont have any. Home Depot needs to fix their online inventory system. Waist of my time and gas
I ask for help no one came i saw 3 men that work there talking in the aisle and say good bye i said thanks for not helping me. And walk out. I have never had bad service like this ever. Omg if you dont want to work then quit. Talking in the alie is not good when people are waiting for someone to help. Put in some call lights to help us darn it
My husband is contractor for over 40 years and we have been shopping at this store for as much as i can remember. Last week we had the most unpleasant experience ever with associate named Arnela who mislead us first in the person pretending she want to help us and then being rude on the phone as well 3 or 4 days later on 7/21/21. I was promised call back from store manager (i believe name is Jason) but never received any. We will stop buying here because of rudeness of Arnela and since Jason never reached out we will write to office of Craig Menear and tell him how this store and it’s employees are treating decades long pro customers. Arnela should be ashamed.
I usually do not complete reviews, but I felt compelled to do so because I felt one of the HD employees made me feel so welcomed at your store. I go to this Home Depot rather frequently, as well as other home improvement stores, but this was the first time EVER that an employee has made me feel so happy to walk into your store. It was around 9:30 in the morning. I came to make some quick returns, and headed to get a cart from one of the stalls. It wasn’t much different than my usual trips, HOWEVER, this time, one of your employees (Tom H.) stopped and said “Hey, I see you here a lot, what’s your name? I’m Tom.” In all honesty, it felt pretty awesome. I’m just a regular homeowner, DIY kind of person, not a contractor, and that really made me feel so darn welcome at your store. I also have to say, that I could tell that he was very respectful and conscious of the current 6-foot social distancing desires by most individuals, even as he helped me unload two doors from my car. So, I just felt the need to tell you how awesome of an employee Tom H. is and that I truly hope to see him again at your store.
Typical Home Depot layout, always someone available to help you. BUT like many Home Depots now you get approached by the solar panel sales people they allow inside. This has happened one too many times for me. Good store, but Id rather they not allow the aggressive independent sales people to approach you in the aisles. I feel like I am constantly dodging the solar panel sales people.
Everytime I visit this store one or more team members always asks if I need help or if I have found everything I need. I have spent hours in other stores without such customer service.Generally I do not need help, but when I do the employees are knowledgeable and actually seem like they want to help. They have always ensured my question was resolved.
I experienced getting my order shipped to another store that was at least 25 to thirty miles from my home,never the less of the store posting that it would be available on certain dates that it was not avail so be careful call before you go ,dont just assume that its there. I cant believe that the store would post the dates when they really dont know they should say call first this is not good l drove about 30 miles,they also sent the order to the wrong store..so please check first....
My experience at this location will likely prevent me from going to it again.My parents and I drove from the Carol Stream location to Bartlett because they didnt have any kitchen cabinet expert in Carol Stream that day. The drive was about 20 minutes and we then waited another 15 minutes just to run into an expert that decided the products that Home Depot sells are too expensive for my family and I. I told her that we needed an estimate for a kitchen rebuild and she started by asking me if I had done any shopping around. I told her we had stopped by Menards nothing else. She right away assumed we where looking for lesser quality and cost. Saying the cabinets with Home Depot are 4 times more....making an awful lot of assumptions. I was shoked she then added that ordering them with her would take a lot longer than Menards. We never gave her a budget or anything. She just assumed it would be too much and it was not worth her time to help us.My parents and I walked out feeling emberassed that she would make assumptions like that. We drove to Lowes in Carol Stream where we ended up buying our cabinets,sink and appliances. The person did not make any assumptions he made the design and explained how the quality is better than Menards. 15k sale could have been Home Depots if their reps didnt assume things just by how clients look. My dad owns a landscaping company and he was wearing his work clothes I was going after the gym so maybe that is why she thought we could not afford it not the way to treat clients.
Went shopping here for fertilizer products for my indoor plants. Couldn’t quite find what I was searching for after reviewing the items they had available. I approached the customer service desk and requested assistance to speak with some one who specializes in the department, I was shortly met by a gentleman named Glenn. I explained my dilemma to him and he was short , snappy and very rude. After attempting to communicate with him it was clear he didn’t know his product . I will NEVER shop here again.
I ordered a saw online early last month for delivery to the store. Never got it. No one knew where it was. Customer service seemed disinterested. Cancelled the order. Took four days to get the money deposited back in my bank. Reordered the saw for a home delivery by the 17th of this month. Only the stand was delivered. On the 19th. Driver said the saw would come on another day. THEN the saw was reported as delivered. Ive spent ten days trying to get the saw, or my money back. Its a whole NEW cycle every time I contact them. Hours texting back and forth. All Ive gotten from customer service is how important I am to them, and how bad they feel for my frustration. No saw. No refund. They say theyll get back to after they contact the carrier. NONSTOP DELIVERY. Make sure you get a reliable delivery service if you have to order from Home Depot online. NOT this service! STILL waiting...
Very poor customer service here. Employee scanned to see if a locked up item was in stock. Said that they had 5. He looked for them and couldnt find them. Said thats why we lock them up because people steal them. He said sorry the inventory was wrong and they must have been stolen. You mean to tell me that you had 5 locked up power drills stolen and no one noticed? He said must have sorry. Went to service desk to ask for a manager and only one girl handling 5 people in line doing returns and the phone ringing off the hook. Didnt stay will never go back.
Went because of sale items, but they said they did not get the items in. However, a couple of folks there found the items they did have so I could make my purchase...very helpful.Still, I wish they offered veteran discounts every day like Lowes does. Twice a year doesnt cut it.
This neighborhood DIY store has been here for over 20+ years. I have been their customer ever since. Customer service is NOT the same as in years past . Today people working there will make an eye contact with you and give you artificial welcome smile but make NO effort to sincerely assist. Remember its a destination shopping. I am there for a specific reason. I have driven specifically to HD with a purpose & a list. So a word of advice. If you see customers wandering & they seemed lost, PLEASE give them your best assistance. Thank you.
Love this location as the staff is always friendly and they usually have what my husband or i are looking for with our home renovations. My only complaint would be to do your homework if you are doing a home project yourself and run into an issue you cant achieve yourself. My husband has done a complete tear down of our basement. The issue came about when we ordered custom windows from Home Depots biggest competitor thinking he would be able to do them. Well, worried about possible water damage if done wrong, my husband went to Home Depot an asked if they could do window installation adding in where the windows where purchased from. There worker had said it wouldnt be a problem and set us up for someone to come out and give an estimate. We waited a few days and the estimator was here no more than 5 minutes stating they dont install those windows. My guess is due to it being from there competitor. Complete waste of time and seeing as we have a baby on the way our time is ticking and is the sole purpose for redoing our basement and putting in a bathroom/tub. Luckily another business came in, saw we had no drywall, saw the brand of windows and said the installation is going to be extremely easy due to the bare basement and materials. We will still use Home Depot for other installations when the time comes but note to self, make sure the protect material comes from Home Depot as they have no problem turning down the business.
The Bartlett Home Depot has the best employees EVER !!I walked in not knowing the store layout.But every where I went, there was a person wearing an orange apron asking me if I needed any help. When I explained what I needed, they would tell me where it was. And then they would walk with me to make sure it was the item I was looking for !!I cant believe what GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE they have. I will definitely go out of my way to shop there again!!
Prices sometimes high. Wood selection I feel is poor. Ive bought wood here that just cheap in quality. Returns could be easier. But they give military discounts. I wish labels for American parts and tools were more common. I found the same tile at a tile shop for a quarter of the price of a tile here.
Shane and Miranda are incredible! My fiance and I are new to the Bartlett area and decided to buy our home improvement tools and supplies at Home Depot. Every employee was open to questions and was happy to help us out and give us advice. However Shane and Miranda went above and beyond for us and they deserve to be recognized!!! Not only did they represent Home Depot but they also represented the people of Bartlett in an amazing way. My fiance and I are now very optimistic about moving here and look forward to doing more of our shopping at home depot!!!! Thank yall so much for a great experience!
Generally a decent place to pick up things for our house. Some cashiers seem unhappy, I dont know why, possible low wages? Today I went there and there were over helpful employees standing around without much to do. However I know there are many very hardworking people there and the guy who helped me with window coverings was a level of service excellence I rarely encounter. Night time cashiers often seem unhappy. Mixed feelings about this place, maybe lower staff and increase wages for people who strive for excellence?
Completely ignorant. Majority of the staff is very condescending and arrogant. The so called manager that worked the afternoon shift has completely no people skills and is very condescending. I dont know where you find these people but perhaps you should offer them some training on how they should interact with customers. I run a multi million dollar operation and if one of my managers ever interacted with a client in that manner would be at the least demoted, written up, and required to attend training in order to keep is job/career. This is my first experience ever with a store not price matching or honoring an online special. Everyone is about customer retention. This guy came up not even introducing himself and provided no explanation as to why he will not match the online price other than No, its an online special so you need to buy it online. When I asked him why because other stores do price matching all the time he replied he is not other stores. The manager replied in this manor because he lacks the knowledge to explain in a professional manner. Not to mention first of all you never get into someones face or comfort zone and also its a bad idea when you smell like you just ate an ash tray. Completely unprofessional! There is not reason not to match the online price if I wasted my dam time looking for part numbers to prove they are in store. What do you have associates for to run up and down the aisles, laugh and joke. Isnt it the managers job to make sure the associates are doing there jobs? Why is it so hard to find help in a store that is over 50,000 square feet.
Needed some discontinued tile - bunch of it. They found what I needed, had enough, and even gave me a great price since it was discontinued. I drove in from Roscoe, IL, (had to make 2 trips the tile was so heavy) and received plenty of help. Excellent service and cooperation. Thanks!
Improved curb side pickup check inprocess with an email or text link, its better, but should be more automated like walmart curbsidepickup where the app knows youve arrived at the store and automatically notifies store and staff brings out your order in minutes and verifies the name on order curbsidepickup pickup has been great 👍 with our pandemic and just convenient and encouraged me to utilize my local home depot with convenience for my needs.Friendly and helpful staff in-store.I hope curbsip is here to stay and gets even better.
My customer purchased a tub at this location. Upon inspection, it turned out the tub was damaged. Well, it happens, we brought another one. Now I got little bit upset because it was damaged, too. Off to the store for the third one. This time we checked the condition at the store and of course it was scratched as well. Now we tried the store in Schaumburg, same story twice! Finally the last one in the store was acceptable. I need a drink!
To all the buyers at Home Depot, it only takes 1 mishap before you turn your back at them. And you’ll regret every bit of it.I bought a dishwasher back in April. Unfortunately, their delivery and installer agents installed the wrong diahwasher by force. They forcefully pushed it and therefore can not remove the wrong dishwasher. They did deliver the correct one but is now refusing to install after a couple of months of asking to resolve the issue. They have already hauled away the old one and i will now have to shoulder the expenses of the installation which was previously included in their deal at that time. Their agent Barb in Home Depot Bartlett Il. was stern of not resolving this issue. Since I have reported this matter to BBB, they will no longer do anything but to remove it. This is the worst resolution i have ever heard. Rudeness of the staff is topnotch. Can’t find that rudeness anywhere else but in Home Depot Bartlett.
Went to return a P.O.S. garden hose I bought over a year ago. I used it once and kinked in numerous places. No way should the words Heavy-Duty EVER be printed on its packaging. I had the receipt. The SKU wasnt pulling up because they probably didnt have that hose anymore. They worked on it for 15 mins!! I asked why cant you just do a general credit for $19.99 + tax? They cant do that. What a pain!!
A very pleasant experience, went in needing a spring for a project. When I walked in I was greeted and asked if I needed help. They pointed me in the right direction. Next associate I walk past asks what Im looking and stops what they are doing to look up where to find it. Tells me where to go but asks me to hold on to call someone else to make sure. I found the springs really easy and as I was walking away the same person who called for me came down the aisle to make sure I found it.This store is among the top for customer service.
As usual with home depot, I couldnt find anybody near the carpet department to order at home carpet. Once I went up to the service desk somebody did come back there and he was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions that we had. If only home depot understood the concept of having employees actually man the sales floor
Friendly people. Hard to find anyone. A contractor not from home depot but an actual contractor helped me with what i was looking for because i can tell he saw me walking with a limp because i have bad hips so ty to him. Plus they do not take apple or google pay. Plus as i was getting what i needed i saw six of them just standing around a cashier shooting the breeze.. P.s if your looking for a good home depot who is on top of everything go to one one niles. I have never given a one star for anything but when a person has a disability or you can tell there having a hard time walking please be curtious and ask them if they need help.. Unreal.
Company has an account at the Home Depot. Spent over 30 minutes looking up the company name. Staff still unable to find company name. General manager assisted looking up company name and was unable to locate. After 45 minutes of waiting the store manager was called to look up the account. Staff at this location is unable to look up an account without giving them the account number. If you are trying to buy something using a company account, avoid this location.
Always has what i need. Only issue i have is the guy in electrical always thinks im stealing stuff. I know this because when i go up to pay he is on the phone with cashier checking up on me. Im sorry but i have integrity and honor and would never do anything like that. People should not be so quick to judge.
Usually convenient and decent priced. And thank God they went away from that incredibly annoying policy of having people greet you every freaking ten feet. Sometimes the same person three or four times. Give it a rest, already. Im not here to socialize. I just need some wing nuts.

2022-04-25I bought some power tools and an air compressor for my husbands birthday and the associates were very helpful with recommending what I should buy. The gift was a big success and he was already using his new tools by the next day!

2022-05-08The Bartlett homedepot is one of the biggest in the area so they carry a bigger selection than most. For instance they are usually the only one that carry natural gas grills, most only carry propane grills that can be converted to natural gas. They have a substantial garden area, and awesome season selection during the holiday season. This is a good one!

2022-02-23I just bought a generator from this Home Depot and the service by Rueben in the pro area was excellent. Because the generator was not in stock, Rueben ordered it for me and assisted me in using gift cards for part of the purchase. He is an excellent communicator and very thorough. I get this type of service at high end hotels and restaurants and I appreciate the extra time he took and his willingness to make sure everything was good.

2021-07-10I wanted to share my terrible experience at the Bartlett Home Depot store. I was in search for a new patio sliding door. I purchased a sliding door with built in blinds from Home Depot in Bartlett. Once after I had it installed by my installers, I come to find out that in Bartlett it is illegal to install a patio door with built in blinds. However Bartlett Home Depot never notified me that this is the case. Even they know my delivery address for the door is in Bartlett. No one ever told me at Home Depot I can not put in patio doors with blinds. I have now been trying to work with Home Depot in Bartlett to get this installed door replaced or fixed and everyone I have talked to at this Home Depot since has turned their backs on me. I have still to find a resolution on a $2,000+ purchase I have made incorrectly due to the negligence of Home Depot of Bartlett.

2022-04-03My husband and I went to Home Depot tonight with some ideas for a new home .I have three projects in mind and the young lady was asking if we needed help she worked in home-improvement by the cabinets I didn’t catch her name I wish I did every idea I had she help me find all the stuff I was looking for she was really quick on answering everything and getting me right to what I needed look forward to shopping there for all my new projects . The young lady was so helpful

2022-04-29Avoid John H guy is a clown and wont listen to you. Trying to get door bought and constantly passive aggressive. Almost 2 months of going back and forth with the guy for him to stop putting the most expensive stuff on my contract. Even at the end price it was supposed to be 2,200 guy changed really quick and almost 2,500. Even after the whole ordeal (about 2 hours every single time in the store) wouldnt take MILITARY DISCOUNT. Avoid it. Go there for simple needs but Avoid all the other stuff.

2022-01-24Nobody here is an expert. All those 5 star reviews are clearly fake. I drove fromschaumburg to pickup two shelves that were listed in stock. They ran them out curbside, they were clearly not the right stuff. If the workers here cant even match sku/barcodes, do you trust them to help you with your home renovation?

2021-07-10Really good staff and service here. I love the informational tables, like in the image, so we order the right amount. I was able to place a delivery order by the customer service desk and the charges are similar to other home improvement stores in the area.
