We lived here for 2 years and it has been great. The maintenance staff are great. Rudy has help us so many times and Rudy boss comes himself to help. We love it here and it quite and beautiful. The office staff has been great and get better every time we need help. Thank you TGM
We lived at TGM for almost two years. Such a nice apartment with lovely neighborhood and all shops, amenities near by. The management was too good. The apartment staffs are very friendly and their service was excellent. The move out process they helped really well with any request. Especially the help from Aurtoria, leasing manager was awesome. She always answers all our questions with happy face. The deposit also they returned 90% without any issues. I would recommend the apartment to my friends.
My husband and I have lived here for 4 years. Where the kitchen is small, it works for the two of us. We love the quiet neighborhood! The pool is a fun place to escape the summer heat. The management staff is always cheerful and helpful, and there are treats for the puppies! The events they have are fun (Valentines Day bingo, Christmas gift wrapping, Ice cream socials) and thoughtful (Breakfast on the go). Recently the apartments and clubhouse were upgraded. The construction process was quick and painless. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and theyre really on top of salting and clearing snow. Maintenance is quick to respond to any issues, and are very professional. All in all, we would highly recommend TGM McDowell Place Apartments to anyone looking for a friendly, clean, and relaxing place to live.
Very nice apartments and community but they will nickel and dime you for everything and find ways to make you pay more during your lease, at renewal and especially after you move out. We left our apartment clean and they decided to charge us for replacing the carpet in the entire place that was still in great shape. I have gotten most or all of my security deposits back in all 6 different apartments over the last decade. Dont live here unless you like burning your money. Prior management company was much better.
TGM McDowell Apartment has a well designed room structure with enough Cabinet space and living space. It has a nice Gym, Tennis court, Swimming pool, Picnic area, Barbecue, Pet area, Business Centre, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful. You might experience some bugs and ants during summer but, the support staff will help handle it. The support is not immediate but, not very late. Each segment has enough non reserved parking but, you can always pay extra and buy a garage. The streets are cleaned quite frequently in winter during snow. I love most of the services provided here except the Lease Breakage policy which I feel is like a trap and don’t like it at all. Probably, that is why I rated it 4 instead of 5. I am a over all satisfied resident of TGM.
I just want to say that my experience here so far has been so pleasant. The maintenance is very polite and attentive. Management is so easy to talk to. The unit is so clean and so perfect for me and my children. Neighbors are very nice and it’s a quiet environment 🙂 love love love this place.
BEWARE - WORST - This place is an absolute disaster I have been living here for more than 2 years now. 30-40 yr apartments - painted so well you wouldnt know the age, master beds get much colder than other parts of the apartment. They dont clear vents and air circulation system, my child was affected due mold severely - they havent even compensated us although we have Doctors report. They have worse lease breakage policy, even when I lost job in Corona they kept on leasing to new tenants without working on any way out for my family, they charge more if you stay back with them and they have now been charging 40% premium on rent because we didnt renew yearly lease - we are on month to month so monthly rent went from $1490 to $1900 - yet their portal shows $2450. they want 70% on top of monthly rent in mid of COVID - in the name of system adjustment every month - they are the WORST LEASING company I have ever rented with - Im renting for last 14 years in many states - this one is far far out. Maintenance is not bad, but you are better off renting off privately to have taken advantage of yourselves and your family by these big fat companies who have no goal of proving a worthy renting deal, they dont like loyal tenants - loyalty will cost you. DO NOT RENT WITH LEASING COMPANIES - JUST DO NOT
I will never forget the kindness of Amy Yu and Pierre. I signed a lease to live in this beautiful community. Unfortunately I was unable to take the apartment because of the medical condition of a sibling. I needed to live closer to help with the situation. Legally when you sign a lease, you are bound by it. But when I told Amy and Pierre the unfortunate situation they took it to heart. Pierre was able to get the approval releasing me from the lease without any penalty. They didnt have to do this. I will never forget this kindness, and their great compassion. I highly recommend TGM McDowell Place Apartments because they truly care about people.
I‘ve been living here for over 1 year. My neighbors smoke marijuana, and the strong smell goes in my unit from bathroom and into each single room. My baby was waken up and cried several times by the strong smell. I’ve talked with the management office, first I was told to call non emergency police, they don’t manage this. Then the office said they will write a letter to the unit. Now at this moment, the smell comes in, again! Since office is closed due to the virus, I’ll have to write another email to the management. The community prohibits tenants from smoking marijuana and sent out notification previously to every unit saying violation will be evicted, but till now my wife, I, and my 1 year baby is still suffering this. I’ll keep it updated here!- updated on Mar. 27, property manager sent a letter to the neighbor, and came in person two days later after we found the letter didn’t work. The talk seems working, because we haven’t had the issue after that. The management team is responsive, and fixed the issue.
Worst management. They want to get as much as possible when you move out. Unprofessional in handling customers. One of the policy is to only contact customers with letters with no phone calls. I got ripped off when moved out. Cleaned my apartment while moving out though. Now regret it. I would recommend everyone to go through negative reviews here first. You will be ripped of sufficient amount while moving out that is for sure.Unprofessional staff as well. Mediocre apartments.
Ive been here at mcdowell place for a few years and the experience has been great! ! Not only is my apt. great, with a fireplace, beautiful balcony, and great amenities, but the staff here has always been friendly and courteous especially the maintenence team! ! Mike and the gang are 1st rate! ! Any time Ive had an issue Mike and his team have been prompt, efficient, and courteous as can be with the job always well done! When the pool opens up its like a country club here surrounded by nice neighbors and a great staff! Mike and everyone keep up the good work! Your the best! Marty
I have lived here for a little less than a year. My apartment is very spacious and has all the amenities I could want for a big apartment. Doing lots of research before coming to TGM McDowell, I am glad I chose this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful with all needs including getting anything fixed, package deliveries, and special request. I may stay here another year...Thanks TGM! Also my neighbors are awesome!
Great location, helpful management, apartments are just okay.Ive been here 10 months, and am not renewing my lease. The good things first...The management/staff/maintenance was always helpful and polite. Its a 1 minute drive to 59 or 88, super convenient location (plus I can walk to work), and a great forest preserve is a 10minute walk down the road. Huge bathroom and closets are nice to have, too. Bonus: in-unit laundry! However, the apartment itself blows. Im on the first floor. The place is like a cave, windows on 1 wall, so you better hope they point South or West if you like the sun. This also makes it impossible to get fresh air inside. During winter the walls/floor are always cold, even with the heat set at 78. The kitchen is tiny with a mediocre stove/oven, if you are a bigger person, or often have help in the kitchen, good luck to you!Carpet throughout the living spaces, cheap brownish carpet. It matches the beige walls really well though...Basically, if you dont cook, love being cold, and hate the sun this place is perfect. Otherwise, find somewhere else.I had to fight ants all summer too, came in through the sliding door and both windows, found them under the carpet when I moved in. Gross.
I have lived here for more than a month now and I have enjoyed my time here. After moving from the lombard I was worried I was going to miss my building amenities, the staff help, and luxury feel to my apartment.TGM McDowell place on the kids play area and forest preserve definitely did not disappoint. The apartment complex has a luxury living feel to it and the staff is so helpful. Whenever I need something it is taken care of right away. Its is a calm place to live and the location is great! Close to train stations, downtown naperville and the highway. We feel safe and at home living here and I know I picked the best place to live in Naperville 😊
The only good thing about this place is the location. I have lived there for 6 years, and when we had the Mcdowell administration, I never had any issues. As soon and TGM started, they remodeled the kitchen and the bathroom. To start, we lost a bunch of space in the kitchen cabinet (I got this condo because there was a lot of cabinet in the kitchen); then, what should have taken 3 days took a week and I had to keep all my things out otherwise they would be full of dust. Then, we new cover that they installed for the kitchen didnt have the same thermal resistance from the old one and nobody told us. After cooking, I made a bubble in the cover and immediately reported to the administration. They said they would charge me 420 dollars to fix (this was 2017). I just moved out (2018) and the price bumped to 560 dollars in one year!! And, when I contact Artoria, he said he was verifying but never gave me feedback and I just got a check in the mail and they are discounting me 560 dollars. Another thing: they give you short notice for every thing. Moving cars from the parking lot for snow removal, moving things outside your patio....Although I have lived there for 6 years, I dont recommend this place to anyone.
Move in at your own risk! I can’t get out of here soon enough! I lived at TGM for 2 years. I’m OCD clean and had mice in my apartment. They sent an exterminator days later and all they did was put a trap behind the oven and fridge (didn’t work). I also had a bees nest outside my door that took days to fix. Basically, If you need anything fixed you’ll have to wait days for it. The place is a mess. Good luck getting into your apartment without seeing massive spiderwebs everywhere. The grass is full of cigarettes and dog feces. They also purposely give you your renewal notice late so they can charge you more money per day to take every dime from you. They’re desperate for tenants! After I sent them my move out letter they called and offered to pay me $500 to stay. Yeah right! I’ve brought all of these issues up with management and they just told me they’re “sorry.”
Great home to live ! The apartments are so spacious plus includes dish washer, laundry units (washing &drying) patio etc. The staff is very helpful and friendly. State of the art athletic club, tenniscourts, barkpark, ample of parking spaces, clean surrounding, well maintained community. I absolutely love this place. It has lower rent and more benefits as compared to other communities. Lounge to hang out and fresh coffee in there, awesome swimming pool, grill pace for family get-together too. Its a complete package and everything is up to expected.
My husband and I have lived here for almost a full year now and have been pleased with our experience here. We like that although its close to highway 88 and many restaurants and shops, the complex is tucked away in a quiet community. Friendly staff, spacious bedrooms, and dog friendly! Our favorite amenities are the giant walk in closets, modern kitchen, and large bedrooms. They also do a great job maintaining the grounds (shoveling, garbage pickup, etc.)
I cannot say enough great things about how professional, responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable the staff at McDowell Place Apartments have been over the past ten years. The maintenance staff is very knowledgeable and the will work until the problem is solved. Living here is a wonderful experience and times very entertaining. I would highly recommend this property to others.
I have lived here for an year and went for the Town house style apartment in the community. Townhouses are big and was excited as its rare to find such design in apartment communities. But as I moved in found issues in these apartment.1. The Town houses are too noisy as there is no insulation between first and second floor.2.At night even if you walk on 2nd floor bedrooms, the entire house will know some one is walking, due to loud creepy floor noises.3. Turning on Shower in Bathroom or running washer dryers are extremely noisy.4. Also found lot of issues with bugs and ants in summer.5. The Major shocker i found was when i moved out of the apartment where they got me a hefty bill for damages on counter top and cooktop. Before leaving the house i had super cleanedthe house and left no stone unturned. On request they provided me the photos for post inspection to me. And I found the photos were not how i had left the house. the Cooktop was greasy, therewas stuff/dirt on carpet and showed a burnt mark on the counter top. I informed these photos certainly do not look the way i left the home and dispute it. I made mistake by not taking the photos myselfand not requesting a in person inspection which i will certainly recommend any new tenants.Informed Management that i feel like cheated and you are charging for something that i do not recognize. I requested to check the apartment myself and was told everything has been replaced.Later the bill was reduced to Half, which included all my deposit + addition fees which still did not made any sense.Really feel disappointed by this incident.
TGM Apartments are modern and well maintained with good amenities. Its also close to all Shops, Restaurants & Banks ,which is extremely good considering the weather conditions during winters.Staff members at leasing office were generous and responsive in handling any queries/concerns.Finally, good place to live and has lots of open spaces to walk around and enjoy your time with loved ones....
Lived at TGM for the last three years. As all the big corporations and managment companies around all they care about is making a profit off of you. When you initially start renting with them or renew your lease agreement, they make everything out to be nice and easy when in reality they have an excessive lease termination fee and added concession fees. Before signing their 30-40 page lease agreement, I suggest to go over and read every signle detail thats written on it. When you talk to them in person they vaguely go over fees and deductions, but in your lease agreement they make sure its written clear and precise. The complex itself has a decent size pool and gym, its located in a very convenient location close to Fox Valley Mall and access to multiple interstates around. Apart from that, the apartments themselves are made to look expensive but really are made of cheap material that tends to break easily. Washers and dryers are old and useless. Rats, mice and ants are a problem that we experienced in every except one apartment that we lived in. In the winter they tend to send out emails asking people to move their cars for the plowing service, if for some reason you did not receive or see the email you will wake up to your car being towed. Some of the driveways and parking spaces have huge potholes that have been around for over 6 months and they have not fixed them.Overall, very disappointed in the managment company and the fact that tenants are both unappreciated and unvalued.UPDATE: 6 days have passed by since I last spoke with a lady named Cathy, who apparently is part of the management team at TGM McDowell Place. I asked her if I could speak to someone regarding my review, she said she was not sure who wanted to speak with me but assured me that she will find out and ask them to contact me. I am yet to receive a phone call from someone regarding my issue. As initially stated, big corporation who only care about themselves and no one else. Responded to my review without the initiative to actually do something about the problem. Terrible and horrible management company.
My fiancee and I just moved into our first home together: a townhome style apartment located here at TGM Naperville. It is safe to say that we were a bit nervous about the move, taking on new responsibilities, and making it truly our first home. I cannot express how great the move-in experience has been, and how nice our home is now that we are settled. The front office staff are always cheerful and eager to greet and help. We put in maintenance requests before we moved in, and within the first few days all of it was taken care of. Artoria and the office staff made the move-in process simple, having copies of all the paperwork, responding to emails quickly, coming in earlier on their own time to help make sure we were settled, and overall going above and beyond to make us comfortable. A few days into staying here, maintenance came to take care of some of our concerns (small patching of walls, providing paint for scuffs, looking over some things we had questions about, etc.). Both Mikes and Miguel visited us and took care of our concerns, as well as provided tips to make our living more comfortable as we made this transition in our lives. As we have begun to settle, find places for our furniture and miscellaneous things, it is safe to say that we are in love with our new home. Not only do we have plenty of space with our layout, but things are positioned and laid out in a functional manner. The open living concept that connects with our kitchen is perfect for entertaining guests. Both bedrooms offer large walk-in closets with great space for storage. Overall, everything flows together beautifully. I am grateful to the staff and community here, and look forward to being a part of it.
Update in Oct.:Lived here for almost one year. Like the pool and the gym. Staffs here are friendly, and the new manager Pat is very responsive and helpful. There was a leakage of the roof after a heavy rain back in July, the manager came over the same day and have the maintenance people repaired it the next day. Would recommend to others. Thank you.
It has been such a great experience so far. Clean apartments, amazing office staff and great amenities. The staff are going above and beyond during this hard time . The Community Director is very responsive and always there to address any concerns immediately . Looking forward for the amenities to open again. . Thank you Piere and staff for a great experience
Weve lived there for 2 years. Everytime we called for maintenance, they would show up weeks after. The sink leakage, the blinds that one of the maintenance guys broke himself and wouldnt come back to fix for like weeks. Then when were leaving, we get charged for the damage despite cleaning the entire house before leaving. Which we should not be charged that much when were all adults living in the house. So they dont even give back the security deposit. They make you pay for things that they in the beginning said wouldnt be a problem like the paint. They told us to paint whatever room we want and it would be okay but we didnt. And now that were out theyre charging for paint and carpet cleaning as well.. So at the end of everything, we wont be getting our securtiy deposit back, instead well be paying more. I would recommend this place to someone who can really afford this luxury. Because for everyone else it just isnt fair.
Amy is wonderful, she took her time to make sure that I had the home I wanted as well as needed. By her being empathetic to my needs, I felt as if we had connected, building a working relationship I could trust. I could see myself actually living in a community such as this. So happy to work with such helpful individual.
We looked around to see many apartments before we actually moved in. Honestly this is one of the very few apartments we liked. This is a very nice and peaceful place, specially suitable for families who are looking for friendly neighborhood. This is also very close to route 59 which boasts all shopping places. I am also personally pleased with many fun and social activities that leasing office is hosting for the community. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is especially new to Naperville and looking for a nice apartment.
First time apartment renter here. The first couple nights had ants crawling on me in my sleep, on my pillows, bed, baseboard. I called to let them know & they said they would send somebody out next week. NEXT WEEK?! I have ants crawling on me in my sleep!!! That didn’t stop for at least 1-2 months. Not to mention, the windows were coated in black, almost felt like the apartment wasn’t cleaned prior to moving in. Insulation was TERRIBLE to the point of 300$ com ed bill in the winter for 700 sq foot place, which with all the heat we paid for, our apartment felt like an ice box. While my new apt is double the size ( for the same price) and have never had a com ed bill over 100$! Had a leak in one of the pipes in laundry room, so water had been soaking in the wood, we called maintence they said a specialist would be over to check for mold, never sent one. When I called back they sent another maintence. I will say Rafael and Toni were friendly though. Much better options out there, I’d go somewhere else
When you move in they are pleasant and keep your request up to date. However when you move out the will not go inspect your apartment with you, even though I asked them to they said they did not do that. Then when you get your deposit back they charge you for extra items that do not need to be done. They charged me for extra deodorizer for cooking odor ($40.00) in the carpet cleaning. While I lived there my lifestyle was to eat out most of the time. I hardly cooked in the townhome and it was in perfect condition when I moved out with no spots on the carpet. DO NOT TRUST them when you move out they will keep some of your deposit for no reason at all and not even tell you until you receive the refund check in the mail. I would not recommend moving into this location.
Use a little common sense before you take this particular apartments . They use gas for heating , electricity for cooking , water supplied by another agency , then trash from AUM which is third party . If you want you use heating to have electricity and gas from Nicor gas both needed to be in service . Both need the heating to work .Nicor gas is the only agency supply gas they are monopoly they in this apartments . You don’t have another option if they increase the rate you need to pay . Some time even for one single bill not paid they will stop service then to start even in chilling cold they can take two days . I suggest to go with electrical heating apartments which is available in other properties .You can expect 350 to 500 amenities per month from all this 4 separate agency serve . Water , electricity , gas , and trash .
We wanted to move as early as possible and the staffs were really helpful even when we called to see the apartment during their closing time (We had to do this twice).Artoria even accommodated our request to change an appliance in the kitchen. She took extra effort to find in which apartment they could change the appliance and did it.Both Sarah and Artoria were very helpful in answering our queries and made the move in smoother. The apartment is very closer to main locations and having a small grocery store nearby is an added plus. Maintenance team is doing a great job, till now whatever requests raised were addressed within 2 days.I am giving 4 star due to the towing services they have hired, its been a month we have residents vehicles parked in handicapped parking (no stickers / temporary pass) without being towed and we did once(as all the spaces were full) and our vehicle was towed. Still we could see vehicles parked in handicapped parking (Even while I am posting this there is one vehicle parked from yesterday evening) and no towing is done which is giving a wrong picture to people who moved recently and they have to face the heat.Other than this the place is very good, a peaceful and calm environment to stay and friendly neighbours.
I was surprised and amazed how prompt, diligent, regardful to say a few, the Admin and the maintenance staff do service to their associates.Called the Admin this morning at 9:40am to report our problem with heat and was pleasantly notified that staff from maintenance would be visiting in a few. Totally surprised that in less than 10mins, very pleasant guy named LAMONT buzzing the door bell. Introduced himself and explained what he needs to do and how long would it take to finish the job. Precisely and tidily done the work as professional champion should be.Lamont is a treasure TGM McDowell should be proud of. Splendid!Charles
Do not live here! We moved in in March. Maybe two weeks after moving in they closed the club house and the pool for remodeling. Its almost July and we still have no access to the pool, the clubhouse or the gym. Did I also mention its 90 degrees today?! If we knew that everything will be closed for remodeling we would have never moved in here. The rent is extremely high and no amenities. Think twice before you consider living here.
The worst place where I even live!!!all the time something breaks and it’s not repair in time, always insects the windows are in very bad condition and the winter is very cold they didnt change the carpet and they never cleaned it for the three years where I live and They not return the deposit and they charged for things what i didnt do!!! Dont move to live here at first they are very nice to you and in the end they behave very ugly.
We lived there in 1 bed room for 1 year..maintenance was o..k..The apartments are spacious of no use..The planning was not good...800 sq ft...but very small kitchen..hardly 2 can stand there..very old Appliances and carpet..The bathroom is big.The closets are normal..The washer and dryer are too small and dirty.I dont prefer or refer these apartments..there are a lot better than those.Wall are very very thin and we can easily hear the sounds from other room or homes clearly even if they are murmuring ...Pros: tennis court, big bathroom
Lived here 5 years ago so management may have changed. When I lived there management was rude and very dishonest. They would tell you one thing when you signed the lease and then would not fulfill their end of the bargain. Also apartments are cheaply made. I would go down the street to one of the other apartment places.
I have rented in three states and had some 8 different apartments and this one was definitely my worst experience. I was told they would fix my apartment and was ignored for several months. After this time I approached the management and told them about the situation. They agreed to fix the maintenance issue--I was forgotten again. After this, I approached them and said this was unacceptable and that I wanted to be compensated for the poor living conditions. The manager called her boss and said I was being threatening. I am a large person and this was unfair. I was never threatening and these claims were completely unfounded. For the rest of my time there I was treated like a recluse and had to be dealt with by two or more employees over some BS hearsay. The management here is terrible.Other than the terrible management, this place is covered in dog feces. They dont clean the grounds and people walk their dogs and let them go anywhere. Also, the walls are thin and the HVAC is installed improperly. If you do a walkthrough, look at the giant gap between the air intake on the HVAC and the unit itself. There is a 1/2 gap that allows outdoor air in all around the intake--Enjoy paying for that in July or January. I called maintenance about this issue as well and was to to fix it myself if I wanted--Super service!Last, another example of the excellent maintenance. My first week in this place I called maintenance about a smell of gas from a natural gas line--There was a small leak. A young guy showed up and waved his leak detector near the leak. He concluded there was no leak. I grabbed the leak detector from him and showed him how to use it and found the leak (I use these things all the time at work). Then, this professional called his boss who proceeded to walk him through tightening the valve stem casing while gas was ON (ie. pressurized). I asked the guy, dont you want to go shut off gas at the meter before servicing my shut-off valve. He said, no. UNSAFE, UNBELIEVABLE, AND UNACCEPTABLE.Please think twice before renting from this place. The culture of nastiness from the management and the attitude toward tenant safety are a toxic combination.
Horrible!! Horrible!! Horrible!!!If you want to get surprising illegitimate, wrong, bogus and inflated bills, this the place. They will hand over a appartment with pre-existing defect and if you complain they will charge bills on you.In utility bill of first month, you are presumed defaulter and $150 late charges will be added. Only after a lot of struggle it may get removed. They have loorly designed kitchen which countertop is defective.Business center they will initially say is for 24 hours . Later you may get a mail that it has been restricted up to 7pm.I
I never moved here. Artoria was nice in the beginning however I make 4 times the rent, in my job 20 years, never been evicted however was denied without any reason. Ive asked for a written reason from Artoria along with the $150 admin fee (which is refundable) and have not received it yet. Im glad I was not accepted.
I wanted to say thank you for the office staff at McDowell palace . They always answer me in a pleasant way and are always helpful. The new community director was so helpful handling my maintenance issue and followed up to make sure I am satisfied . Thank you for all you do , stay safe guys.
First Year lease was increased by 2.5%Second Year lease was increased by 1.85%Now got notice for third year renewal with an increase of 7.5% :- ( :-(In Pandemic where people are struggling for their livelihood, TGM adding the burden on your shoulders by huge increase in the lease.Think 100 times before moving here , once you moved in you are trapped here , you get a fixe rate increase lease renewal with no options.
It is shocking that this company is still in business in Naperville, with the very high prices charged for a very low level of customer service.Landlords market is the only thing that could explain it I guess (and what a great life it is I imagine, being this corporate landlord).

2022-01-03I lived in TGM for near two years. The community is safe and quiet, and the apartment is clean. The staff are kind, responsible, and were very helpful. Before moving to another state, I was able to extend the lease with short notice. It made my life much easier, and I didn’t need to move out and live in a temporary place.

2022-06-17I lived here for almost ten years, besides fighting off a lot of bugs and spiders and dealing with cigarette smoke from another apartment, parking issues, noise issues, etc. LOL, I somehow still also liked it and the location. I was in the homebuying process and my move out date kept changing. Once I thought I would not buy anything in time this year, I asked if I could just sign another lease. They told me my apartment had already been rented. I was devastated and depressed, feeling like I was being pushed out of my home, albeit, to my fault. But here we are, a week after I moved and my unit is actually available to rent. Not to mention I submitted an application and deposit at another TGM location which I did not move into (because I did buy) so I am out $500. The TGM location still thought I was moving in although I told them otherwise weeks before and this one could never figure out if I was actually moving or not, which was confusing because they told me I had to....? All in all, TGMs are clearly very unorganized and an absolute disaster. Steer clear!

2022-02-12My experience with TGM Mcdowell Naperville has been very pleasant. Me and my little boys have been here for a year now.. and I have nothing but positive things to say about the community. When I first moved here a year ago the application process was very smooth with Pierre and the office staff were very warm and welcoming. Since we have lived here all my neighbors have been so warm and welcoming to me and my boys. I also love the fact that the complex is very children friendly. There are a nice number of kids in the complex which has been nice for my boys to meet friends and be able to play with them in the summer. The community is also very quiet and peaceful. Every time we have a heavy snowfall the plow trucks are out there the next morning plowing and sidewalks being salted. Maintenence also is amazing. Thanks to Lamont for coming in and always fixing whatever needs to be fixed. He never has you waiting and he always knows what the issue is. TGM Mcdowell Naperville is definitely a place to call home and raise your children.

2017-02-18This has been a pleasant experience out here in the Apartment Complex, the 3 years that I have stayed here.Pros:1. Very spacious with ample parking space2. Near to Route 59, I-88, and Route 59 BNSF Metra station3. 24/7 fitness center with modern equipments.4. Has been reasonably quick on any maintenance requests5. The common grilling area by the pool is a nice addition for summers if you have guests visiting.6. The renovated clubhouse has been a good addition.Cons:1. Some of the interior woodwork (at least in my apartment) needs a bit of an overhaul.2. $ 85.00 increase in rent in 2 years, with an assurance by the new management to actually increase it to market levels. 😕

2022-01-09We were returned empty handed twice in a day in this freezing temperatures without handing over our package with reason the staff is busy or the office will open after sometime. If the package cannot be handed over to residents than TGM should stop accepting package from shipment vendor 😡IT equipments are out of order for months now. Printers goes out of ink every 2nd month and does not get refilled for weeks. Equipments in GYM are not working for years now. Even after multiple complains the issue with the equipments are not fixedThe new management is not helpful at all compare to earlier management which was very supportive and helpful

2021-10-17Please save your money do not move here and the quality of service is definitely not there. They give you old appliances in your apartment and to pay as much money as you do is definitely not worth it. You can find a better place to live. And the inside office sometimes get a bad attitude so if you want to spend a lot of money do not go to this place because its definitely not worth it. The showers are small and like I said before if youre paying anywhere from 1800 to 2,000 is not worth it youll be better off finding somewhere else to live.

2020-05-29Living at TGM McDowell Place apartments has been a great experience. I moved in almost 2 years back with my fiancee and the office staff, the community are wonderful, the property is beautifuland well kept. The maintenance staff i would have to say are the best I have ever encountered at any of the properties I have lived. There knowledge and experience was a breath of fresh air, after having water leak issues from the neighbors or just minor problems they always show up with a great attitude, Rudy and Miguel can always put a smile on your face. Michael I believe is the maintenance director seems to know how to fix any issue that comes up and is so friendly.Thank you for making my stay here such a pleasant experience.

2021-09-27I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone in the future. I’ve been dealing with a recurrent issue with mice for over a year now, and with multiple exterminator visits the problem still exists with mice in broad daylight. I have trapped over ten and they continue to multiply even with the traps by exterminators and my own. The exterminators advised the office to have maintenance fix a gap in my balcony which I never heard from the complex afterwards about. When the maintenance/exterminators visited they also left the dead mice on the balcony.

2018-02-23My husband and I have lived here for more than 2 years and we are in love with the apartment and the locality. The Move-in process was super smooth. Where the kitchen is small, it works for the two of us. We love the quiet neighborhood! The pool is a fun place to escape the summer heat. The management staff is always cheerful and helpful. Kudos to the management staff. Highly professional but at the same time very humble as well.
