Our Dog Has been going to Day care at Tender care for 6 going on 7 years and actually feels it his daytime fun time … he also boards occasionally and loves every moment . He’s always is happy to go amd happy to return .. It’s his home away from home . He loves everyone there and licks, jumps and runs to all the staff and helps himself : no better place ever for ones animal kids ..
Friendly, trusting vet and staff. My dog Fenway has been going there for just about a year for his checkups, boarding, and grooming and Ive never had any issues at all. I always feel safe leaving him with their staff, even for a week of boarding, and he always comes home so worn out from playing with the other dogs. I also get him groomed by Hannah while he stays (or for one off visits) and she does a great job with him. Highly recommend!
We’ve gone to countless Vets in search of a Dx that made sense for our Jade. They not only are helping us through the maze of her needs and treatments but the cost is not all of our arms and legs. I am able to maintain the care plan and have contact with our vet in order to give the best care and hopefully soon turn treatment into preventative care soon! Thank you Tender Care for truly being amazing ! I wouldn’t trust my pups with anyone else!
My 7 month old Goldendoodle loves going to Tender Care. The whole staff takes excellent care of him while he is visiting. I am very hard to please when it comes to someone taking care of my dog, but Tender Care gives him the love and attention he needs during his stay and I do not have to worry one bit.
The entire veterinary staff at Tender Care was very helpful and loving during our cat’s final decline and passing. I felt everyone went above and beyond normal veterinary care, especially Dr. Larson. Our cat’s case was strange one, and ultimately she wasn’t okay, but I will not forget how kind and patient Dr. Larson was during this process. I highly recommend this vet to anyone. They will care for your animal like it is their own.
My vet doesnt offer daycare, so I talk my dog here. Schedule isnt the most accommodating (believe you have to pickup by 5:30 and earliest drop off is 7:30 if I remember right), but it is great having a place with outdoor and indoor space and I have the added comfort of knowing my pup is at a vet in case something went wrong (she sometimes get sick).I also have her groomed here - I believe w Debbie and Id recommend her. She does a great job.
It was our first time boarding our 9 year old Greyhound at this kennel, and we are very disappointed. We did extensive research since we are new to this area and were under the impression that this was a great kennel to go with. That was not the case with our experience.Dropping our dog off was a very smooth process. They were nice and took our dog to the back after we said our goodbyes. When we got him back, we were shocked at the state he was in. This kennel gives a complimentary bath to the dogs that stay longer with them. It did not look like our dog was bathed recently. He was covered in vomit (neck, chin, chest, front paws), smelled like vomit, and his hair was crusty and hard. We were shocked because he came back to us in a worse state than he was in before. We decided to leave and wash him off ourselves since he was already stressed out at the kennel and needed to calm down. We did not want to make a scene and have our dog suffer more. When I called the kennel to ask what happened, and give them an update as to why were were upset, we were met with repeated I dont know. This was very frustrating to me since they had our dog for 4 days, yet they seem to know nothing about the state he was in. The kennel manager was coming in later, so I gave them my information and waited all day for a response. I was thinking since she was the manager, she would know more. I was wrong. She had just as little information as the front desk. This is so unprofessional! She is the manager of the kennel and could not tell us any reason why our dog was covered in vomit. We are now skeptical that they took as much care of him as they said they did. It seems like we are not getting the full story on the dogs condition. All that being said please do not leave your dog with this kennel. They will not be looked after as well as they should. Very disappointing for the money we paid.
We got our 2 little girls groomed there for the first time today. They were very pleasant, caring, and our 2 small dogs looked great after grooming. Our 2 always get nervous and have anxiety going to a vet or groomers, but here they were calm and happy afterwards. We are new to Peoria and are so glad we found this place. We will be repeat customers.I wanted to add that the veterinary clinic is just as awesome. They are very compassionate and caring. They are very descriptive about what they are doing and answer every question you may have. Being new to the area, we found the perfect place for our pets.
Dr. Larson and the full staff at Tender Care have always been knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring for our 8 year old dog, Brinkley. Whether Debbie is grooming him or Dr. Larson and staff are attending to him, well or sick visit, injury and subsequent surgery and recovery, they continue to be attentive to all his needs and reassuring us along the way. Their expertise in all areas is comforting. We are in good hands! Thank you!
Tender Care animal hospital surpasses all in every area of animal care. They have a strong commitment to caring for your family pets. Their practice encompasses all you need for raising a healthy happy pet. They have training opportunities, day care, boarding, grooming and most importantly the highest level of veterinary care. They go out of their way to be kind, caring and thoughtful. We have used Debbie, one of their groomers for our dog, Brinkley from his first hair cut. He is a cockapoo so is in need of grooming every other month or so. From the time she comes out to get him to the time she brings him back to us , beautifully transformed, she is so sweet and caring with him. From the vet techs to Dr. Larson, you receive top notch expertise and compassion.Dr. Larson has treated our dog over the last 8-1/2 years with the utmost expertise and compassion, whether a surgical procedure, illness or well check up, he is outstanding. He never rushes you, answers all your questions and is fully available for your pets needs. He has always made himself available to us which we appreciate beyond words. What more could you ask for. In searching for a veterinary practice we would definitely recommend Dr. Mark Larson and Tender Care Animal Hospital.Dan and Julie Thomas
Due to relocations, I have been to four different vet clinics over the past 10 years, and this clinic is by far the worst. I took my cat to Tender Care as their groomer is supposed to be specialized in cats. A family member picked up my cat after the grooming service and was not informed of any injury, but when we took her out of the carrier at home, she was bleeding and had a three inch abrasion where they tore the skin on her back with the clippers. This occurred on a Saturday and by the time we were home, the office was closed with no number available for emergencies. Therefore, I had to take my cat to the emergency clinic in Peoria for assessment, which cost me $100. I had documentation forwarded to Tender Care and asked that they kindly compensate for the emergency vet fees due to the injury that was incurred at their office. The owner, Mark Larson, completely refused. Keep in mind, I had been going to this clinic for two years and my family had been going to this clinic for twenty years, and the owner still refused. Mistakes happen, and I would continue going there if they handled it appropriately and made it right. Also, $100 was a lot to me, but it is a rather small amount to write off for a business in order to keep a customer who had already spent thousands of dollars. But, Mark Larson lost his temper and was completely rude and obstinate, stating that they did nothing wrong and he didnt care if the entire family never came back, he was not going to compensate the $100. I will never go to this clinic again.
Clark T Meatball, my 3 year old English Bulldog is a regular here. We get Vet care, Grooming, Daycare and Boarding. We just returned from a four day trip and Clark got a sleepover with his friends at Tender care. I trust without exception the team to meet Clark’s needs and it is obvious he loves them so much. I am so grateful for the integrity, clinical excellence and heartfelt interest provided to my dog and our family on each visit. #Exceptional
Twice now I have called Diane and Dr. Larson on a Sunday evening for an emergency. Both times Diane was in the middle of making dinner(sorry Diane) but they stop everything they are doing to meet at the office ASAP. The first time was for my brother’s cat who wasn’t even a patient there at the time but wouldn’t have made it through the night without them. Not only is Dr. Larson an amazing veterinarian but him and Diane are great people. We are so thankful for them🖤
These guys are the best. They do everything from vet services, to boarding, daycare, and even grooming. The prices are great and one thing I really like (this is true at least during the time I’m writing this review for) boarding includes daycare during the day. Their might be special situations for some dogs, but this is what I’ve been told, and it’s great! There prices are great, their staff is friendly, and they really do an A+ job, all around. Lastly, The biggest thing for me is that they are all animal lovers, and I know my pups will get the attention they need.
We had a wonderful experience at Tender Care Animal Hospital! The staff was incredibly friendly, both on the telephone and in person. Dr. Larsen was professional, personable and very comforting to our kitty. Their services are also very reasonably priced. We are grateful for our experience and will certainly come here for all of our cat’s veterinary needs!
We have been taking our dogs to Tendercare daycare for years. They love it and get the best care there. Dr. Larson and Dr.Fraiser also helped our lab get a few peaceful and best cared for months right before he passed away due to bone cancer. They worked relentlessly for our dog and did everything they could for him and us. They took a chance to buy us some time for us when others didnt think our dog would survive for over a few days.I know everytime I send our dogs there , they are in wonderful hands. Diana has a wonderful professional team who cares for the pets as if they were their own. I have found tendercare charges quite reasonably for their services compared to other veterinarian facilities in the area which is very important especially when your pet is getting treatment for life threatening condition like cancer. Tendercare team is like a family to our family and we highly recommend them for their excellent veterinarian services.
I entered this place with literally my heart in my hand, and right away someone found me a room and attended my every need both emotionally and physically didnt have to wait but 5 minutes before Vet came in to tend to my. Precious Cookie My Dog this place is A KEEPER 4 SURE
Boarded my 2 dogs for the weekend. I was told they could have their toys and treats to try and make them feel more at home as this was first boarding here. None of the treats were given and I can tell that the toys were not put in with them either. I was told they did not want the treats or milkbones on day 1 so not offered again. Have never seen a Lab refuse food/treats. My nervous girl was so glad to be out of her prison that she jumped in the car trunk when I put her stuff in it. Will never take them back to this place they were not tenderly cared for.
We love Tender Care Animal Hospital. We have taken our dog there for private obedience training classes. His lessons were very helpful and we still use many of the things we were taught. We also board him there. He gets the best care. They send us pictures! Also we got a Christmas card with Finns picture this year. It hangs on our tree.
I cant say enough positive things about Tender Care. My dogs love to go to day care there and I always feel they are in good hands with the staff. Dr. Larson is awesome. He is kind, gentle, thorough, and it is evident he is passionate about caring for our fur babies. We have also utilized their boarding and the staff and facilities are excellent. The entire staff is amazing and their passion for animal care clearly shines through.
My Sheltie had his hair cut off on all the places you DO NOT trim a Sheltie. Its as if this supposed groomer with years of experience had no clue. Plus it was twice as expensive as Ive ever paid where I had great results. I only went here because of a facility issue causing my groomer to have construction and temporarily close. I wouldnt recommend you take a Sheltie here.9/28/20P. S. I received a call from the Owner /vet and I am now satisfied with the arrangement we agreed upon. There were extenuating circumstances that day and response to my internal survey prior to this survey. I would rate the response to this issue a 5.P
What an amazing experience this was for an emergency visit for my sick fur baby! I had been taking my cat to another vet but they were not available to see her until the afternoon. I called Tender Care and they said to bring her over as soon as I could, exactly what I wanted to hear! They got her right into a room and started assessing her immediately. Both the tech and Dr Larson truly seemed to care about her and were both so gentle and loving to her. Dr Larson really seemed to know what he was talking about and took time to fully explain every test and medication they had given her. He set a specific timeline of what to do if she didnt improve and best of all, when I checked out, the visit was MUCH less than visits to my other vet! I called that old vet and had my records transferred to Tender Care right away. So glad to have this stellar of an animal hospital in Peoria!
I would recommend this vet clinic to everyone living in the Central IL area. They are an A+++ team and Dr. Larson is phenomenal! He is exceptionally dedicated, compassionate, competent, and always does what is best for the animals! We adopted a kitty from TAPS that had been casted, coned, had kitten acne and was on a long way to recovery. But Dr. Larson pulled him through. Every time we called to ask questions he would personally get on the phone and address them. The entire Tender Care team truly loves animals and it shows in their attention to medical detail and remembering individual animal personalities. Our little fur baby is finally getting a shot at being a normal kitten once more and he is loving it! Thank you Tender Care Team for all your hard work!
Our boxer has been attending daycare here for over 2 years and he LOVES it! All of the staff are absolutely wonderful. Ive seen them sit on the floor with the animals on many occasions to give them love and make them feel at ease. They truly treat you like family and you know youre leaving your pet in the best hands. We have boarded here as well several times and he gets to play in daycare during the week so he gets plenty of exercise. We use their vet services as well and they have gone above and beyond many times for us. We foster dogs and the organization uses Tender Care for their vet services. They do so much to give back and be involved with the community.
I have been bringing my pets here for over 5 years and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is kind and Dr. Larson is very generous. He looked my dog over when she had a stomach bug and didn’t charge me for the exam. I can tell the staff cares about my dogs and remembers them wen we arrive. We also take advantage of the boarding when we go out of town!! I love when I see pictures of my dogs playing and enjoying themselves. As long as we live in peoria we will continue to go here!!
The five stars goes to Dr. Frazier. She is AMAZING, especially with cats!! The front desk could use some more help. It feels as barren as a cold war era Russian store. Everyone who is there is very friendly and helpful, though.EDIT: Rating has been changed because Dr. Frazier has moved to another vet clinic and I followed her there.
We love Tender Care Animal Hospital in Peoria! They have excellent staff that truly care! Our Ruby absolutely LOVES going to doggie daycare and considers boarding there as her own personal getaway! Their veterinary care is top notch as well as their grooming services! Highly recommend!
We take all of our breeding dogs and pups to Tender Care! We love Dr. Larson, Dr. Waggoner, well, really the whole staff. They are always there when one of my klutzy canines needs them and are always happy to snuggle puppies during their vet check visit. A shout out from Ellie to her best bud Carol too. She cant wait to come back and board with you again. Santa pics again this year?
Dr. Larsen is truly one of a kind. He is genuine & compassionate and has gone way above & beyond on more than one occasion. Dr. Larsen is easy to talk to, down to earth & he doesn’t recommend excessive diagnostics or procedures to increase costs. He sets a bar of excellence very few vets could ever meet. The staff seems to legitimately care about your pet and that is not always easy to find. I am very appreciative & grateful for all he (& his wife) have done for my family. I would absolutely recommend Tender Care Animal Hospital!
An absolute God Send! Tender Care has been lovingly caring for my Dads pups as he recovers from a serious car accident. They have been fantastic to work with as we get my Dad through rehab and hopefully able to care for them soon. Such peace of mind knowing they are being so well cared for! I cant recommend them enough! No question in my mind where Ill board my own dogs if needed!
Doctor Frasier and the team saved my dog Zorros life. He had a sudden illness and his condition degraded quickly...they got him into the office on short notice, diagnosed his illness quickly, and got him recovered in 2 days.Without this teams hard work, my furry son wouldnt be with us anymore, which would have been devastating. This team is second to none, and for those of us whom value our furry family members, I couldnt recommend Tender Care enough!
Simply stated, the staff and vets at Tender Care are the absolute best. They were able to quickly respond and treat our dog Chevy when he was diagnosed with cancer while being boarded. It was heartbreaking to be away from Chevy and to hear this news while on vacation, but the staff took the absolute best care of him and treated him like their own. His initial surgery took place immediately and we received regular updates, phone calls and photos. He was so spoiled! There was no where better for him to be while we were gone. Upon our return, Tender Care helped explain the diagnosis, next steps, and referrals to continue Chevys care. They continued his care post op of his second surgery, going above and beyond on a weekend to ensure that Chevy wasnt in pain, was taking all his meds, and was eating. I will not take my dog anywhere but here because of the depth of care that the staff provide and the passion that they have for animals. Chevy comes for boarding, doggy daycare, grooming, and check ups and we have always been satisfied beyond our expectations with the level of care and the family atmosphere that the staff provides. He knows when were pulling into the parking lot that hes in for lots of love and I know that Im leaving him in the best hands possible. Thank you Tender Care for all that you do!
We use the veterinarian services at the Morton location and the daycare/kennel/grooming services at the Peoria location for our dog. All of the veterinarians are very good. They always take time to examine our dog completely and are very kind and patient with him and us. The daycare/kennel/grooming at the Peoria location are fantastic. Our dog always has a good time and looks great after grooming. I highly recommend these animal hospitals.
I love the training program here, but I will not be using Dr. Larson for my veterinary needs. I brought my dog in to get a rash checked out. The whole time Dr. Larson was in the room it felt like he was in a hurry to get out. As I was in the middle of explaining what was going on with my dog, he cut me off and told me that it was caused by my dogs pinch collar. I then tried to explain to him that he only has the collar on for about 30 minutes a week and that the rash wasnt even near where his collar sits. The doctor then wanted to give my dog a shot of benadryl and I told him before hand that he doesnt do well with shots. He usually has to be muzzled. Dr. Larson then told me to just pet him and talk to him as he gave the shot (putting me at risk of getting bit). Sure enough as soon as he tries to give the shot my dog lunges at the doctor. He then seemed shocked that that happened since my dog was so calm up until that point and told me that dogs cant sense things like shots and needles.Overall it was a very frustrating visit. To me the whole visit was just unnecessary stress on both my dog and I, and a waste of 80 bucks.
Our dog (golden retriever) used the vet, grooming, and boarding services here as well as did once a week doggie day camp for over three years. We ended up moving away from Peoria and I have struggled to find a place as great as Tender Care. The staff here are attentive to pet needs and theres no better feeling knowing my dog is in caring hands when Im not there.
Tender Care is a great place to take your pets for boarding and regular check ups. On a recent trip where my dog wasnt feeling well the vet even gave his personal cell phone in case my dog got any worse. I cant say enough about this place, definitely recommend you bring your pets here.
Our baby had a life-or-death situation last week and my vet would not take payments. Tender Care Animal Hospital did the emergency surgery and saved my little girls life she is back to normal thanks to the Helping Hands of doctor Fisher who stayed late and did the surgery God bless you all thank you so very much
I highly recommend them. First trip was for grooming. Found my favorite groomer from Pet Smart had moved here. Second trip was routine checkup and shots and all went very smoothly. Third trip was for my cat, who had been attacked by a dog. I thought that she would not make it but successful surgery and post-op care by Dr. Larson, not to mention the support of the office staff, brought her around. The first week was tough but two weeks after the attack one would not know that she almost died. It is obvious that these folks love pets. Had time to look around and the facility is the best that Ive seen.
My three fur babies have received excellent care from veterinarians and staff here from diagnostic tests, meds, surgery, dental care, grooming and boarding when needed. It’s so beautiful and clean and everyone treats my babies with TLC and makes me feel comfortable in answering any questions I may have during our visits. The vets are absolutely the best and really handle my babies gently and with the kindest care and concern. I’m so happy to have researched and settled on TenderCare as the only place I would ever take my babies! They are the BEST! Perfect name that fits them to a T...... TenderCare!!
We were very pleased with the grooming that was done on our cat, Twitch. He was full of knots and would not let us get rid of them. He came home soft, beautifully trimmed, smelling wonderful with his nails clipped and his ears cleaned. I highly recommend Tender Care if you need your cat shampooed and clipped.
So glad we found this vet! Wonderful staff that helped us send our 16 year old pup over the rainbow bridge. Kind and caring through the whole process. Besides basic vet care, our other dog loves going to Doggie Daycare! She comes home happy and wore out and I dont feel so guilty for being gone at work all day!
Dr. Larson and his team are the absolute best. After ten years with a different local vet, we dreaded taking our fur babies in because of how anxious they’d get. My mom recommended Dr. Larson and said he truly treats pets as an extension of your family. He makes personal connections, knows each client on an individual basis, shows compassion and will even be on-call for emergent needs (yay for no more expensive emergency vet hospital visits!!). Dr. Larson has a special med called “Acer” that works miracles for doggie anxiety. Our last vet “didn’t believe” in pre-medicating, particularly for toenail trims. Instead, we the owners would have to hold (wrestle) our pups while they trimmed their nails - dodging nips and getting pooped on all the while, risking injury to the vet team, our pup and ourselves. Dr. Larson makes the experience so much more relaxing with the Acer, a safe and effective drug that wears off after a couple hours. It’s just enough to take the edge off and get the visit accomplished calmly.Dr. Larson and the entire team are extraordinary- they don’t over charge, he’s honest with his expertise and he spends just as much time getting to know his families as he does seeing his pets. I’ve recommended Tendercare to numerous friends and will continue to brag on how amazing they are!! Thanks Mom - You always know best!!!
My review is more for K9 Excellence. Week 1, we had an unruly dog that didnt know his size and strength. He made screaming sounds when he saw other dogs. We met Calvin and team at a Foster Pet Outreach event and decided to give it a shot. We started with private classes (with Ethan as a teacher) and a short board and train (while we were out of town). In 6 weeks of training and homework, we have a totally different dog. Today, he sat still while several other dogs left the daycare. He walks at our side (instead of dragging) and he is much better with other dogs. I cannot describe how huge of a difference they have made in our dog. I would recommend them to anybody. We loved Duke from the moment we met him, but they made him an even better member of our pack.
We are so lucky we finally found a vet that could cure my four legged daughters skin problem. The first time we went, Ill never forget, there was another customer, that went specially to thank Dr. Mark for saving his cat, which 2 other vets had told him there was no cure for his cat and Dr. Mark had gone deeply to see what he could do to help and he did. That for us was the golden ticket. We were just where we needed to be for Lia.Totally recommended for people who are looking for a vet in which they can trust their loved pets with. Also wanted to mention, their day care for animals is the best. We have also used this service. Next time we go on a trip, we wont hesitate on dropping Lia back.
I am involved in rescue with Westie Rescue of Missouri and Foster Pet Outreach and these dogs go to Peoria Tender Care for vetting. Dr. Larson and Dr. Waggoner do a wonderful job for these dogs and I cannot say enough good about them. We also use the groomers for these dogs and my personal dog Nelson and they do an awesome job and are always willing to go above and beyond.
Honestly, Ive not a single negative thought or comment for this place. Every single person we have interacted with has been kind, knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. Every single person within this facility seems to have profound understanding of animals and how to deal with animal parents. I am beyond impressed.
Im not sure if the staff and management have changed but I was disappointed at the last visit. We had boarded our pups for 4 nights and they wanted to charge us for 5 days because apparently they charge per day of staying not per night (this is new since we have boarded our dogs there before and never had this happen) We also had grooming done and our dog was patchy ($73 grooming) the lady at reception was all sassy and said oh well good thing she had time to groom him because we were full, well they shouldnt have accepted him for grooming 5 days prior if they didnt have enough time for him, I would have been happy to choose another day. Dont charge me $73 and do a patchy job and then tell me its cause you were busy. You had 5 days to call and tell me. I left this review on Facebook and it was promptly removed. I will not be boarding or grooming my pups here again.
When my cat was dying of liver cancer, Dr. Larson was so kind and even opened the clinic in the middle of the night because my daughter was worried when the cat wouldnt stop crying. That was definitely above and beyond, but what really got me is what just happened. My dog was in yesterday because he chewed a hole in his fur and his skin was irritated. Dr. Larson (himself, not his assistant) just called to check on my dog and asked that I keep him updated. I think a person who loves animals will be kind and generous with their time when an animal is dying... but it takes someone special to check in when the illness is something as minor as a skin irritation. I have had good vets in the past, but Ive never gotten the amount of personal attention from them as I get with Dr. Larson. I am in awe of how much Dr. Larson cares about his patients. He treats my babies as if they were his own.
Tendercare in both Morton and Peoria are excellent. They are competent and caring. Dr. Wagoner in Morton and Dr. Larsen in Peoria are so good with our animals. We entrust our doggie to them for boarding too. Its just easy and reassuring to have people we can count on. And we can count on everyone in the organization. Thank you Tendercare!
Tender Care and Dr. Larson took in a puppy with Parvo over a year ago. They treated him and cared for him during the first few months of his life. Dr. Larson took the time to search for a forever family to take in this puppy. Our family had just lost our dog of 15 years earlier in the year. Dr. Larson reached out to us and then gave this puppy the best gift, a forever home. Dr. Larson took care of all of his shots, and even neutered him so that all we needed to do was take him home and love him. Jango is now 1 year old and 75 lb full of love and energy. Thank you so much to Tender Care and to Dr. Larson for caring for animals in our community and for taking the extra time to find homes for those in need. You have added a member to our family. Thank you, Capitellis
I ordered through the app paid for my order. I went to pick it up and was told the shake machine wasnt working (I had called prior and asked if it was working and was told by the manager that it was). I asked for a refund and they told me I would have to call a phone number for a refund! Staff was ride and inconsiderate! Dont go to this place!

2022-06-25Dr. Larson and team are AMAZING!! We had an elderly pup that we lost soon after moving to Peoria, and Dr. Larson was amazing. We then rescued a dog who has had some issues, and Dr. Larson has been with us every step of the way. We take our pup to doggie daycare three days a week, and the entire staff (especially Kat, Kelsey, and Kyle) are amazing!!

2022-06-08I am so great full to the Larson’s. I am able to full fill my lifelong dream of helping people train and understand their dogs. The family atmosphere is so supportive and I truly feel loved by the staff. When I need something whether it’s for work or something at home I am supported. I feel very appreciated and Dr Larson is a great help with my own pets. Thank you, I love my job.

2022-06-04Truly a wonderful place. We were brand new patients when our senior dog had an emergency that unfortunately ended in her passing. The staff here were so wonderful and kind and helped make our babies final moments peaceful and filled with love. We highly recommend this clinic and will be returning with our other three pups. Thanks again for making a hard day a little softer.

2021-11-30A family member’s German Shepard - Romeo-had a complicated medical case and was being treated my another vet several counties away. Romeo had so many complications I suggested a second opinion to my in-laws. They agreed but on Thanksgiving night the dog took a turn for the worse. Fearing he would not survive we loaded him up to make the 1.5 he drive and Dr Mark treated him. Romeo improved but required another emergency surgery Sunday AM. Dr. Mark and Diana were so caring and compassionate! Thanks to them Romeo is finally getting back to his old self and can enjoy his dog life with his family again!! Dr Mark has such an expertise in veterinary medicine and takes the time to explain any issues or concerns you have. A million thank you’s is not enough!! I would only consider this clinic for any vet needs!!!

2022-06-08I’ve been working at Tender Care for going on 2 years now. I started in the Morton location, and I have now been in Peoria for almost a year.I have never felt so loved, cared for, and appreciated by my superiors, and coworkers. My experience here, has done nothing but give me tools to grow as an individual in all aspects of life.I’m listened to, and respected.Diane and Mark are truly the 2 most caring, and understanding people I’ve ever met. They’ve never batted an eye when a client, friend, or an employee has needed help.I’m so blessed to continue my journey as apart of the Tender Care team, and give all of our clients and fur babies the best treatment they deserve!

2021-09-08Shout out to our amazing vet and his team. When our 14yr old first born (fur baby) woke up shivering, lethargic, refusing to eat or drink, coughing & vomiting on a HOLIDAY, I thought for sure it was his “time.” But true to his incredibly kind & generous ways, Dr. Larson didn’t waste a minute, to meet me back from out of town with Charlie riding shotgun, struggling the whole way. He knew exactly what our boy needed and we are hopeful he’s on his way to feeling better soon. If you’re ever in need of the best of the best for your fury friends, hands down, Tender Care Animal Hospital Peoria will exceed your highest expectations!!

2022-06-08I can’t say enough about the staff at Tender Care, especially Kat and Hannah! My dog is always so excited for daycare, which gives me a lot of peace of mind during my busy work days. Hannah the groomer worked magic on him as well. Anytime I have a question, Kat is able to answer it. She is very knowledgeable and caring. Absolutely recommend!

2022-05-08Jerseys annual exam went very well. The staff was prompt, kind, and friendly. They obviously have a love for animals, and they did an excellent job of putting Jersey at ease. I feel confident that Dr. Larson is knowledgeable and will give Jersey the best of care. Thank you.
