TEAMO Boba Bar in other cities:
Really cute place! Drinks were great and the staff was super nice. They have customers seal their own drinks, which seemed cool but was honestly pretty underwhelming, I feel like it would make more sense to just have the staff use the sealing machine. But overall, highly recommend!
First time trying this spot with my wife. We both thought the mochi donuts were overall better than the drinks. I got the black sesame and my wife the strawberry. My wife liked her donut enough that she’s now been craving it. The drinks, altho weren’t spectacular, were refreshing and not overly sweet. My wife ordered a yogurt green tea which she wasn’t impressed by due to an overly bitter aftertaste, but I enjoyed my matcha dalgona - no complaints. Don’t even know what dalgona is but enjoyed it. One of my biggest first world problems that causes rage in my heart are hard bobas, but this spot passed the chewy test which is always a huge plus and makes me happy. Definitely a safe choice if you’re craving decent boba and mochi donuts. I think this would be a cute spot to hang for high school or college students on a date.
My favorite boba place just opened up a new location in Schaumburg, and we had to stop by! I love that they use organic teas and milks only, the drinks were so delicious!I got matcha latte with 50% sweetness, oat milk and boba, my husband got their signature TE’AMO O2, both tasted great! The new cups are cute as well! Also super friendly customer service. Will come back soon!!
Really really cool place! Boba was a little expensive, but it makes sense because their drinks are so good! Went there twice and they didnt disappoint. Place has such a cute interior and the staff were really welcoming. The mochi donuts were really really good too. Would definitely recommend checking this place out :)
Highly recommend as the best bubble tea place around Chicago area!Tea is organic and with the option to get fresh made donuts.Store is super cute, great place to hangout with friends for cool pictures.Order process is very simple and automated through ordering tablets.
The interior of the store is super aesthetic and looks expensive and clean. They have self ordering kiosks and you get to close your own drink because of the design of the cups. I would have to say though that their mochi donuts are better than their drinks. Its a bummer that they only have a limited selection. For their donuts but their worth it. They also have a large selection of drinks to cater for all taste buds, would recommend going!
Cute place! But the drinks are overrated. I got a matcha drink with rose, it’s one of the top seller. I think they use rose syrup instead of actual rose, and it just tastes nasty. The best way to describe the taste is like the taste of shampoo. We also ordered a coffee milk tea, which I think lacks flavor. Also, for some reason the sugar in my drinks are not completely melted, it was so weird.Overall, the drinks are pretty and the place is cute, but there are better milk tea options around the area.
I’ve been looking forward to going here ever since it opened and hearing all the positive reviews from my friends had me so excited to finally go. I went here for my birthday! And to my surprise the drinks were quite underwhelming. The milk tea we got was completely flavorless and just tasted super watered down; my sister called it “gutter water” :(The other drink we got was decent, not super great the way everyone else has described and the tapioca was not chewy but instead very hard. I was truly disappointed.Staff seemed quite shy too it felt as they were a tad unfriendly. The mochi donuts were great though!! :)
I was actually really excited to try Teamo because I love places that actually brew their tea instead of use powder, so I definitely had high expectations. Im giving 2 stars because the donuts are pretty good, especially the mochi one dipped in chocolate. However, the bubble tea drinks are some of the worst I have ever had. We ordered three different drinks, and nobody could drink past a few sips. Not to mention the drinks are pretty pricey. I dont mind paying that much, but if I do pay that much, I definitely expect to enjoy at least one of the three drink ordered.
I was so glad to hear that te amo opened in this area! The drinks are delicious, and in my opinion have the best tapioca! I loved the jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly too! Interesting to see how its organic, and its so aesthetic inside the cafe as well. The prices Id say are worth it, especially if wanting to treat yourself
This place is fantastic! Great menu to choose from for drinks which are all very delightful. The donuts are even delicious! Lots of room inside for seating. They have kiosks you can order at which I very much like. The workers a super nice and friendly. Highly recommend if you like boba tea or matcha drinks.
Presentation is great and service is efficient, but the milk tea is underwhelming. I had a classic milk tea at 25% sweetness, and it lacked any sort of depth in terms of tea flavor--essentially, it tasted like water with a very tiny hint of tea and sugar. My partner had the hong kong milk tea with 25% sweetness, and it was basically a similar experience. Not particularly impressed, but it seems cute at least.
I was really excited to visit this place since someone recommended me this place. I had the pink milk drink and the dalgona coffee and honestly nothing much special. I understand that the prices are due to the milk being organic and I bought the drink knowing why it was expensive. One problem I had was that it was mandatory to tip?? I didnt understand why because its not like the workers are bringing the drinks to us. It just didnt make sense how I was forced to tip. If it is due to the salaries of the workers, at least increase the prices of the drinks. In conclusion, I dont think I will be coming back to this place due to the mediocre drinks and the odd tipping system. However, I did like the shop itself it was definitely Instagramable.
I give them 3 stars because of the ambiance and location. I ordered the Matcha drink and I wasnt too impressed. Personally, to me, my drink tasted slightly like perfume so its a hard pass for me. I dont know if they add rose petals in there but it left a perfume taste in my mouth. My husband ordered the Volcano with oreo drink and he liked his, so maybe it was just my drink.
Employees were very friendly and the store is cute but boba was terrible. Maybe it was a bad batch but the boba was hard and rubbery. The milk tea tasted fine. Also the mochi donuts were overcooked and greasy. The outside of the donut was so crunchy that you don’t get the chewy texture of the mochi. I know the location is new so hope they improve. And they charge a service fee to use the kiosk to order???
I went here with two friends so I tasted 3 different drinks, they were the Dalgona coffee, classic tea latte, teamo 02 and thats in order of best to worst, with the teamo 02 being quite rough on the pallet. The pearls were undercooked and not very soft, however they were pleasantly sweet. The tea had a slightly bitter aftertaste, almost metallic in a way, but somewhat average overall. The atmosphere is modern and chic and the cans they are served in are quite aesthetic.
People in schaumburg is magically all rich now. I got a strawberry drink with boba and it cost almost $10. That’s ludicrous! Drink tasted ok, just ok, not $10 fancy goodness. I don’t see how this is sustainable. Drinks in California and New York is cheaper. I don’t understand it.
I was impressed when I saw this place’s bottle, because I thought they dont use plastic for bottles. But it turned out, its actually practice except top of bottles... it just LOOKS bin... I didnt want to make more practice garbages because of boba, so I thought I finally found sustainable boba place and I totally didnt mind to extra money for sustainable one... But it seems I payed for just expensive boba... Really sad. Its so cunning and teste is also not worth the price. It just looks cute. But clarks were very friendly. However, I wont go to there again.
My wife and I heard that Te’amo had just opened so we drove an hour to check it out. We’ve been seeing their mochi donuts on their instagram so we bought one of each flavor to try. They were so tasty! The texture is chewy but not too dense, my favorite is the black sesame and my wife loves the strawberry flavor, you could taste the tiny strawberry bites in the glaze. The cashier on shift, Kirsten and Shannon were super friendly and gave helpful recommendations.Overall we really enjoyed our visit!
Cute place with cute drinks! The tea they use is organic. They had 10 specialty drinks, but I tried the Hong Kong Style tea (75% sweet), the Teamo Rose Black tea (50% sweet), and I’ve mochi donut.Hong Kong style tea (75% sugar) - delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness! The boba was also nice a chewy with a slight sweetness to it!Rose black tea (50% sugar) - wish I got 75% sugar, but it was still good. The rose and tea flavor balanced out.Ube mochi donut - delicious, fluffy and chewy. Could not really taste the ube flavor. The frosting on top felt like it was just a normal frosting. I would try a different flavor next time.Overall, I definitely would go back for boba!

2022-04-14LOVE Te Amo and was so excited to know they were opening a store in the Chicago burbs. Located in Streets of Woodfield this is the new hot spot. Went there twice and both times there was a long line. The wait was totally worth it for the yummy boba tea and mochi donuts. We tried the lemonade with Lake Michigan and Thai iced tea latte. Both were so refreshing and tasted amazing. I can’t wait to try the other ones on their menu, they have so many options to choose from. The mochi donuts were delicious. Got a 1/2 dozen box and got to try all the flavors. The flavors available were matcha, dark chocolate , black sesame, Oreo, cinnamon sugar and strawberry. The donuts were so tasty, you can’t stop eating them.Go check out the new Schaumburg location now for refreshing boba drinks and tasty mochi donuts. Love the interior of the store and the Instagram wall. 10/10, highly recommend.

2022-05-16I like this place overall for the kiosk ordering system, decor, and ambiance. But I give it four stars only because of its value. The average price of a boba tea is $7 with tax. I ordered the matcha tea with almond milk and felt the value wasn’t reflective price. It was good, but $7 seemed too high. With that said, they do have a neat machine that seals the can your tea is served in. Overall, this place is cool, but I think there are other Boba tea spots I prefer over TeAmo.

2022-04-16I was extremely disappointed in my order at Te’Amo. I’m a big fan of Te’Amo’s boba and I was excited that one opened up in Schaumburg. It’s one of my favorite boba spots in Chinatown. There’s a reason why it’s always packed. However, my visit to this location did not live up to it’s expectations. The store was packed when I went on a Saturday. The cashier was not accepting orders, so we had to use the two electronic kiosks in the store. I waited about 5 minutes to make my purchase. The line went fairly quick. My order came out very fast too. There were about less than a dozen or so employees working the store, so orders came out very fast. I was expecting a longer wait time with the amount of people in the store. The interior decor is simple and aesthetic, so I wasn’t going to be upset if I had to wait a bit longer. The reason why I’m disappointed in my boba is that the tapioca was very hard. Te’Amo usually has very soft and chewy tapioca because they use organic ingredients. I love chewy, soft tapioca and that’s why I love going to Te’Amo. However, this time, that was not the case. It seemed like the store was run by young high school students who did not know how to properly cook tapioca. They did not cook it long enough. Thus, making it super hard. They probably just quickly cooked it due to the amount of customers they were having. However, the other Te’Amo locations also brings a lot of customers (usually more in the Chinatown location) and they never have that issue.Besides the hard tapiocas, my matcha latte lacked flavor. It tasted like I was just drinking water. The bottle they put the boba was cute though. It was in the shape of a soda can that you have to open just like a soda. After they hand you the boba, you put your drink on a machine to seal the can, which is pretty cool. The only reason why I’m giving this store an additional star when it deserves just one is because of its mochi donuts. I really enjoyed the black sesame donut. It was my favorite one. My least favorite was strawberry. However, I thought the mochi donuts were fairly average. If you want better ones, go to Donut Drop in Schaumburg. They rotate flavors every weekend and it’s locally Asian-owned.

2022-07-16Te’amo boba bar is a really fun and unique place to try. They are located in the Streets of Woodfield mall. The drinks are all natural, organic, personalized to you and they have a large variety of flavors to choose from. They vary from coffees, teas, and flavored drinks. The real crowning surprise is the matcha drinks! They use premium quality matcha that tastes out of this world. They also have mochi donuts which are really nice and chewy as they are made with rice flour. We had the matcha dalgona with boba, classic tea latte (sweetened with real cane sugar!), matcha and Oreo donuts. Excellent quality, taste and care into every item they serve! Very clean establishment with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to relax and enjoy your drinks and donuts!

2022-05-03Excited to have this new open nearby. So pretty and refresh drinks, nice decorations and friendly customers service. My whole family likes it, the mochi donuts are way better than the one I tried in LA. Chewy and not oily

2022-04-13Come back again after grand opening. Its still crowded but the line is OK for me. Its totally worth the wait to get an organic bubble tea. There are two amazing things about this place:1. They use all organic/nature ingredients so the taste its natural and smooth. Before TEAMO I just drink regular bubble teas and didnt feel anything wrong, all other bubble teas are sweet and creamy with a strong flavor. However, after I tried TEAMO, it just feels so different, it feels natural and the entire experience its such a joy. Then I tried bearology and chill bubble tea nearby, I cant even swallow the drink. My throat feels sensitive because of the creamer and artificial ingredients. I think I wont drink any powder bubble tea again. I love taro flavor but once I think they are artificial powders then I have to say goodbye to it.2. I hate Thai tea, no joke. The reason is that I ordered a latte at Starbucks a couple of years ago but they gave me the wrong drink, it was a Thai tea. The flavor was horrible, it tastes like cough syrup in my childhood memory. After that Thai tea becomes my No.1 unaccepted tea drink.Recently I ordered a Volcano at TEAMO by accident since I dont know what Volcano is and it just looks so pretty. When I realized it was a Thai tea its been too late since I had already swallowed it. Then the magic thing happens: the Thai tea at TEAMO tastes really good. I can tell its real tea mixed with other ingredients and it has a special flavor. It totally changed my stereotype on Thai tea. Thank you TEAMO!

2022-07-15This hidden gem surprised me in more ways than one—-cute scenery, unique boba packaging, and very nice, quick service!! If you want to try something new, and a bit on the pricier end of the boba spectrum, then I’d recommend this place! They have organic teas, mochi donuts, and a fun vibe inside!I also got a Thai tea and if you’re a fan of Thai tea, then you’ll love theirs!

2022-04-13Besides being one of the cutest boba bars out there, the drinks are phenomenal! The kiosks make the ordering process easy. Not to mention everything I have ever gotten exceeded my expectations! On a side note, the staff are amazingly friendly and add to the overall fun atmosphere of TEAMO.

2022-05-21I was kind of nervous because I went at such a busy time but they handle everything so nicely with multiple kiosks and plenty of seating. They have so many options and even donuts as well - there’s definitely something for everyone. I got the Te’amo 02 and I love the fruity light taste. People may think it’s pricey but it’s not breaking the bank compared to other places and you get sm more volume and boba I think it’s more worth it than other places. We also ordered both the strawberry matcha and rose matcha lattes that my mom and sister absolutely loved. The matcha flavor was beautiful. Immensely proud to have a BIPOC women owned bubble tea place in my hometown now it’s just the best thing to come home to after college.
