Target in other cities:
This target profiles and wrongfully targets people and will aggressively accuse you of things you dont do, and will speak to you rudely with no remorse. Do not support this kind of injustice by giving this location ANY of your money. Told management and he apologized for the 2 employees who harassed me and said he would talk with the employees - unacceptable for something so serious. I can only imagine the amount of people who are affected by this on a more serious level. Target check your employees.
I am writing this review specially for Seema one of store manager . i was there and doing shopping for my son back to school stuff. And looking for face mask all over couldnt find anywhere in the store but when i ask this seema if she can help me. she looked for it everywhere in the store and found only 15 mask. i really appreciate her time and hard working. Thanks Seema for taking care.
Target has become average. Nothing special, nothing bad, just another bland brick and mortar retail store that has forgotten that the only way to beat internet shopping is to show the advantages of differentiation. The more apt question is why go there. The stores are uninspiring, the help are clerks and not retailers nor are they trained to be retailers. When you walk in there, everyone seems to be going through the motions, both the help and the customers.
I shop at this target occasionally, and each and every time I do, I bring empty CO2 cylinders for a refill. It is frustrating to stand in that customer service line for however long, just to get to the desk and be told that they have no C02. It’s been like this off and on well before the pandemic. I cannot remember the last time they had the cylinders in stock. I usually grumble and end up buying other items while in the store, but I’m done with that.It would be kind for them to put up a sign that there is no CO2 available, but they are content to let customers wait in long lines in vain.My days of combining errands and doing multiple tasks at Target are over. I’ll be refilling my CO2 by mail, and the main reason I went to target on a regular basis is over.
I normally love this Target, but recently Ive had several concerning experiences with the cold-goods/perishables section. I started just trying to do all my shopping here instead of going multiple places during COVID. While I knew quality wouldnt be as good or fresh, I was willing to deal with that. But from bad potatoes in the middle of the bag, to out of date meat being sold, yesterday there was straight up mold all over the cheese I got with same day services. Please be wary of this and check dates and quality when you either pick it out yourself or receive it from same day services.I still love targets curbside pickup. IMO, they are the only company doing it pretty much seamlessly. The staff here are always super friendly and helpful. I will keep coming here for my non-perishables, but no more cold goods for me :/
DO NOT PURCHASE PHONE. Recently purchased a phone from their electronics department. Upon purchase, I asked sale associate about the return policy and responded it was 14 days. At no point mentioned a restocking fee. After a 1 day use, I did not like the phones performance and decided to return it the very next day. To my surprise I had to take a $37.49 restocking fee + tax...total $41.33. That is more than 25% of total purchase. Total rip off!
We were in the checkout line when Target experienced their system wide computer crash this afternoon. Despite certain entitled customers feeling this entire event was orchestrated to ruin their day, the entire Target team remained calm and helpful. Each one of them went above and beyond to assist customers and to think outside the box to try to get each customer checked out. I commend the head cashier (I think his name was Connor), our cashier, Sara, and the entire Target Team for handling a very stressful situation in a professional manner.
08/2020 Update: Very impressed with the sanitization standards! Did self checkout on a Saturday afternoon with no wait & the checkout station is sanitized after EVERY customer (though they missed the handheld scanner). Cart wipes are also available. The store is newly remodeled, though things are generally in the same area of the store.Ive done store-pick up 2x & the staff always nice. If theres a wait, its short. One time, I picked the wrong store to have the order sent to & after 30 min, the manager finally figured it out, had mercy on me & just gave my order ($15) to me for free, since my gift card I used couldnt get refunded even after the order was canceled.
Going to this Target really is a pleasant experience. The store is large and nearly always has whatever I need in stock. The staff here gets busy with customers, but they have always been friendly and willing to help me find products. I also like the Starbucks attached to the store. Its an easy in and out of the parking lot here.
LOve Target. love the deals but obviously not all Targets are equal. I get that the urban stores dont have the space to have everything but the huge suburban store near me doesnt carry a lot of things that are featured on the cartwheel part of the Target app.My local store has wonderful workers but not enough checkout lanes open. Very nice at self checkout but I hate using self checkout when i have a lot of things
ALWAYS some kind of problem at this Target!!! ALWAYS!!! It seems that the employees have no idea how to solve a problem if there is no bar code involved. Questions cannot be answered and blank stares, inept and effortless answers are given. All I wanted to do was spend my money and buys some toys using an advertised promotion. I left without the toys and will probably never return to that store. Walmart is actually a lot closer but I chose Target. No more!
Im bewildered by this location. Every time I come here, many of the shelves have been completely wiped out. Multiple things on their website are listed as in-stock for this location, but theyre not on the shelves. Its like theyre on the verge of going out of business. So bizarre -- no other location is like that. Ive ended up having to go to Jewel instead of getting everything I need at Target.
I love the merchandise, just wish Target would train their people to say hello. This location was better than my Chicago locations but it still seems to be a company policy to just be a worker bee and ignore customers unless they have a question or issue. Im just looking for a hello/hey/etc not conversation. Just human acknowledgment would be nice
Wish there was was drive-up pick-up for online orders when my kids were younger. What a timesaver! I have used it a few times in a pinch and it was so easy! Ordered through the app. Only waited a couple minutes and my purchases were brought right to my car without having to go in and actually shop!
My first trip to this location, so I was unfamiliar with the layout, and needed a fair bit of assistance. Ive never seen a store (certainly not a big box) where every associate I saw, whether interacting with them or not, was so positive, and there seemed to be a very energetic vibe to the place unlike my old store out in St. Charles, IL. And I had a fair number of questions, one of which involved an item being relocated as I was shopping. The associate who had told me the new location, opposite the old, then realized the items will still sitting up front and tracked me down with a shopping basket full of them.Every single person -- even excusing myself getting by the dairy delivery guy, who smiled and said No problem! like it really wasnt a problem -- was a pleasure to deal with. Im sitting here kind of shaking my head over it. Please clone this stores employees and energy.
Sorry, but this store misses its target pretty much every time. This place is notorious for long queues in both customer service and the checkouts and I have actually had to leave my shopping unpaid for several times as I neglected to set aside the 15/20 minutes you usually have to wait. They do, however, have a good level of customer service.
Poor customer service, long waiting line and when it was our turn, they simply do not have red envelope for gift card we just purchase and when we asked for a baby welcome kit for registry. The lady just reply we no longer have that 🤔, so why still advertise on Target website🙁🙁🙁, no help at all and no supply....wasted our 15min time waiting in line
For the last 6 months or more, this target location has gotten progressively worse. It seems like its in a constant state of restocking. There were signs up at one point saying they were making improvements, but there has been no change. The Peterson location is much better, and generally always stocked with pantry items.
This standard Target is a go to when I need a variety of things relatively quickly and dont have time to shop. From clothes and school supplies to food and electronics, it can easily reduce your shopping time. This particular location has ample parking and even bus access.
Like: Pretty bomb decor section. Close to apartment.Dislike: Beauty products are very limited, often out of stock. Recently bought two Essie nail polishes that are so old that they are chunky and leave bubbles on my nail.Overall... will probably still do shopping here, but Im going to take my beauty shopping elsewhere.
I just had the worst experience at this Target, like it was insane.I went to the store about today to buy some groceries one of which was a pack of chicken with a coupon.I went to check out and had a problem with the coupon and another costumer came by to tell us the coupon had to be input manually by a team member(she had bought the chicken and had encountered the same problem) so she flagged down the manager, Roni, who had been watching me for a while with his arms crossed came over quickly and without saying anything he accessed the control panel and began to input the coupon, I didnt mind that but then, Roni turned to the customer and demanded she show him her chicken that she had already bought. We were confused and told him we were shopping separately but Roni didnt believe us(the only reason he probably thought that was because me and the other customer were the same race) and thought we were trying to steal a measly two dollars and refused to help me until the other customer dug through her bags which she already purchased to show him her chicken which still had the coupon attached to it to prove she hadnt given me her coupon to use on my chicken which despite being the exact same brand he assumed it never had a coupon to begin with.It was humiliating for both me and the other customer.Roni didnt ask anyone else in the self-checkout area to show him the contents of their bags which makes me think this was racially fueled something was further cemented when Roni casually left his post after I finished checking out.Me and the other customer went to report Roni at the front desk, When we got to the front desk we found out Roni was the front manager and could not be reported in the store for some unfair reason....As I was leaving the front desk Roni appeared(which makes me think he started following us at some point) and asked the front desk man She talk about me? and then sarcastically said Thanks to me, like I didnt have the right to report him. This behavior is disgusting, and it isnt the first its happened to me and my family and I am sick of being accused of theft, lying and scamming simply because of features I cant control, this is racism, no one else in the store who isnt a minority gets followed or made to show the contents of their bags to team-members after youve already checked out I am contacting corporate and hopefully so will the other customer.
The checkout person at register 11. At 12:30pm on 5/24 (Evanston IL -Howard) is hands down the nicest human I’ve ever interacted with. My sister actually checked out 5 minutes before me and had her as well and we cannot stop talking about what a sweet, sincere, happy person she was. I didnt get her name but I shop at target at least 4 times a month for the last 20 years and she’s far and away the best employee you have.
I have shopped at this Target many times, but for this particular evening I was turned off by your employee wearing their employee cap in a street gang representing manner. Wearing it in an upward manner and to a tilt is representing Chicago area street gangs. Management should be more vigilant with this, either wear it properly or not at all. I guess your food area employees have their own standards for this. The Starbucks area was not the one in question. I like to shop in peace and not be on alert because your employee wants to represent their street gang.
This store is terrible. Prices are not in the rifht location, stockers are lazy and disorganized, employees are rude and do not know hoe to do there job!! What happened to high standards Target!Guest service wouldnt ring me up or exchange an item that I wanted to exchange, employees didnt know what cartwheel was and I got yelled at for trying to use it, merchandise was all over the ground and put in the wrong location and I heard employees talking about quitting. This store is depressing.
Im not really a big fan of target. They act as if their prices are deals but actually theyre really expensive! I dont like shopping here unless they have something on sale or for products only target has. Also if other stores have the same product but target is much closer then ill go to target, but other than that target is too expensive. And i heard the illuminati will use targets as prisons.
I needed my brand of razors at Target. I had time to make it there before they closed at midnight. However, even though I made it on time to Target, they choose to close the store earlier than the posted closing time. We no longer value good customer service, it really should be called employee services. Its never about the customer anymore. It’s all about the employees , and the what’s in it for me syndrome. Nowadays, the employee decide what they want and don’t to do when it comes to work. There rude, lazy but expect a fair paycheck. What a joke!
I purchased something on line to pick up in store. When I received my items that box was opened and damaged. I returned it and they would only give me a gift card instead of putting it back on my debit card. So now I have to purchase another item at Target to spend the gift card.
If there is negative ill put negative star... Jonathan store supervisor was unprofessional and very lazy. all he do is talk, chat & play with his co employee and when ask if there is available item - always saying no stock available or check with yourself in the shelves. I recommend him to scan it so he knows where the item and availability of stocks, He did but what he said is all in the shelves. No effort to double check while at that time store is not busy or less customers almost no customer... I wonder why... Thats why there are lots of bad reviews on this store in terms of availability of stocks because SOME associate starting with the Jonathan the supervisor is lazy to check and not doing his RIGHT JOB. I asked their store manager Naram to help me and just by scanning it he found out that there is available at storage. Naram was very helpful and patience and I witnessed that he helping out customers. But this Jonathan store supervisor/asst isnt deserving to be on his position. and he screw up my experienced in the store. He doesnt know what is customer service . this guy is not good role model to the store. He is just a CLOWN getting paid in the company. My advise is if you need help ask Naram. NOT Jonathan the clown.
TARGET DO YOUR THING!!!I Use to live in Chicago, and my parents and I shopped all the time to sometimes get little things for the house! HUGE TARGET HAS EVERYTHING!! Great as well for getting music cds, dvds, electronics that are too pricey at Best BUY!!! GREAT DEALS!!ALSO VIDEO GAMES!!IM TALKING SQUARE BIZ TO YOU BABY!!!
It sucks because I like this target but I went in for a few items for my vacation!!! I walked in and walk to electronic to grab some headphones, underwear and deodorant. While I was shopping every single thing I turned around the security guard was following me around while I shopped. Now I know security has a job to do but he literally follows my every step and thats now right I wont be coming back to this target . And the sad part I know some of the people that actually work there.
Its not too far from Wilson station and has just standard Target stock. Some days are crazy-busy because the local commuters go there for groceries. That said, Thursdays and late Sundays seem to be the worst.Im not certain about full wheelchair access, but there are escalators leading from floor to floor with tracks for the shopping carts. Its pretty handy considering how much they need to cram in among multiple floors.
Yes everyone understand is Target and basically you taking a chance...do not expect much. But why ? Why are we lowering our standarts? Why are we allowed stores to be on lower level in regards to sustomer service securities merchandise quality? What is the explanation here ?The company has no structure? The company has no motivation ?The company lacks management and employees training in accordance to requirements in our country ?But why ?In the country which invented the highest quality in customer service in the World we go with the worst and we accept unacceptable.Shame on regulators legislators and so on so on to let others take all of as for granted.Shame shame that Target does not get it that genetal public sees and understand that they got some type of preferences in the regards to one of the poorest operations in the country because is simply impossible to think that everyone knows how bad it is and not to react in the right direction and go along with shamful corporation operating on the level of others but not ours !

2022-04-27I really like this location. Its bright and cheerful and the employees are helpful and courteous. There is always plenty of parking space. They have self checkout lanes and the register lanes are usually not super long. If you happen to be shopping on your lunch break, there is a selection of food and drinks to have on the go or sit and eat in the dining area. There is also a Starbucks on the premises. From apparel, to groceries to household items, This location is truly a one-stop shopping destination.

2022-06-07This store is very clean and well organized! I was quite surprised to find that the prices in the mens department, clearance section were so reasonable! Wow! It had been months since I had shopped here and I was quite surprised! I bought several pieces of clothing that were quality name brand products at a steal! It was such a breeze to be walking through this very clean and well organized store... I must say target has come up since the days they began when the store was more of a lower quality store. Even though some of their prices on certain items can be quite pricey, I must say they will make up for it during their clearance and special sales! 5 stars frome!

2022-06-14Just want to give a shout out to noemi for helping locate a few products even though she looked like she was in a rush and usually worry they wouldnt help right away or send someone else but not her. She had no hesitation to stop and help and share useful information and deals. We need more people like her!!!

2022-06-14The target location on Howard street in Evanston is the best! David the manager and Ibukun the sales associate really helped me! Customer service is very challenging but the staff there seemed willing to help customers navigate through the store.

2022-03-14Solid location. I find their prices are consistently cheaper than neighboring grocery stores. Usually not a very long line at self-checkout.

2019-08-10Target repeat shopper here. Normally it isnt an issue to pick up shampoo, some T-shirts, and a few household items. Apparently 30+ other people all had that idea and we decided to checkout at the same time. Whats that? More than 2 registers need to be open? Forget that crazy idea. We dont need another checkout register open. Lets just stick to our long checkout lines, about 30-ish people, for 2 lanes plus however many can cram into self-checkout. So, if its long lines youre looking for and dont need to be anywhere else, enjoy the wait.

2021-02-06This is one of the best Targets I have ever been to in my life! After a big snow storm, the parking lot was clear of snow. There is an AMAZING textured hair collection in the store. It is one of the best I have ever seen. The entire beauty section is incredible. I also love that there are candles right when you walk in now. Everyone is trying to spruce up their home nowadays and they make it really easy!
