Tap House Grill in other cities:
My partner and I decided to give this place a try. It was pretty much what we were expecting, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I ordered the Black Bean Burger with the Baby House Salad and he ordered the BBQ Chicken and Smoked Gouda Flat Bread. Both items were served at a decent temperature and in satisfying portions. The burger was listed in the menu to have a Chipotle Ranch sauce, but that was forgotten/changed. Regardless, the food was good and we would try the place again.
Way overpriced for the area. The bartender lacks any sort of personality. Reminds me of a robot, you put the quarter in the slot and he responds. He definitely does not want to be there. The food was pretty good, we ordered a pita pizza, generous portion, and variety of different cheeses. Chicken tenders were more like popcorn shrimp, no meat, just fried skin. Clean, nice interior, but out of place for the area. Lets put it this way, we were there on a Friday night at 6PM, total of 10 people inside.
This was our first time and it was just simply awesome. First, the atmosphere is perfect. Its got a cool, relaxed vibe with a staff who are surprisingly and honestly friendly in a way thats missing from so many places. You can listen to great music, including live, and watch the game in the background, and actually talk to the person sitting across the table from you without any effort. Then there is the food. I tried the basic burger and a salad. The food was ready in good time, along with everyone else at the table. It was hot and delicious, perfectly made. I said medium and it was litteraly just right. Bun was light and fluffy, burger wasnt greasy. I ate every bit of my food. The little details...Not pretentious, but hearty and simple yet perfectly done. Nice presentation. Good pickles. Onions cut just right. Everyone at the table agreed the food was perfect...surprisingly tasty. My wife says her mojito was done perfectly and we agreed to come back taking turns to explore the drink menu. We met Dave who came by to make sure everything was satisfactory. His crew here is top notch and honestly they treated us like we are family. I am very impressed. I could go on but the live music has started and its mesmerizing. I cant belive Hanover Park has a place like this. Well done Tap House Grill, well done;)
We went there twice so far and both times we had a great time. The food was awesome. We had the very veggie flatbread. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Overall, the service was very friendly and quick. Id definitely recommend this place. Great place for cold beer and to grab a bite.
Very good. Nice and quiet, with music playing in the background. I like a jukebox, but if a place doesnt have one it is fine with me. I did not get food, but the patrons that did seemed to enjoy it. For the gamers, since they just got a license, they will not have machines for 6 to 9 months. The only knock is they are a bit pricey for this area.
Garbage food! Over cooked deep fried chicken sandwich with cheese.DRY Pulled pork sandwich hiding under a huge pile of coleslaw. This was my second visit since the reopening.Dont waste your money on the food.Total joke from the previous owners.I wont be back especially at their prices!
Went here the other day for the first time with family. Great food!!! Will definitely return for more great food and sports! Ps: the fries are to die for 😋😋😋----Update: Went back Monday with my boyfriend - when we walked in we were told to sit wherever. We wanted a booth - 3 tables were dirty - 1 of them was the only open booth. I tried to get someones attention to ask if they could clean it so we could sit there and we were ignored 5x before we gave up and sat somewhere else. Note: They were not busy; maybe 6-7 tables occupied. After we sat down the waitress was crass/rude, her explanation of specials seemed as though we were bothering her with the question. The bartender was helpful and much more polite, but the entire time we felt like our service was an inconvenience to them.Food was so so this time around. Fries were great.Im disappointed because my first experience was great and I was excited to share it. Very disappointed with the turn out the second time around.
I frequent this excellent place often as I love the good mood that is characterizes this restaurant. The team is extremely loving and well trained. The service is extremely rapid. Needless to say, the food they serve is outstanding. I ate there often and I was always delighted. The payment is decent. I suggest this restaurant to to everybody.
Restaurant is on the right track....a few more tweaks and it will be great. Service is a little hit or miss, food was good. I wish they would of kept their fried pickles but the buffalo cauliflower was good, not very spicy but you can get it spicy as well. Menu has changed a few times since they have opened. But overall good food
Went here with the wife..... sat at the table for 20 minutes and no server.. Asked a hostess that walked by if we had a server and she said yes and just walked back to her station and didnt talk to anyone to find our server. Took 10 minutes after we ordered 2 draft beers ...to receive them.. We noticed several tables waiting for service. The food was decent. It also took a long time to be served. we only had the one drink each (never asked if we wanted another until we were finished eating). The place is nice and the beers are good. Food is good....but the service is terrible and will be their downfall if they do not fix it. I recommend this place only if you have unlimited time to spend.
Food was awesome. HUGE servings. I recommend the BLT and the cheese steak sandwiches. Bacon on BLT is not salty lime some places and cheese steak sandwich was very good. Waitress was patient and knowledgeable about the menu. It was clean inside and out. Prices were very reasonable. Will go back.
Nice ambiance. Good beer selection a bit pricey $6-7 for craft pints. Shrimp tacos were fantastic. Flat bread was good. Prime rib sliders are delicious but super tiny. Kit Kat desert was great and plenty for 3 people to share. Service was so so. Bathroom had water/pee all over the floor and sink tops.
3 stars for average. I think the best thing about the place was our server was attentive. But the food was standard, pretty disappointing that I couldn’t get my Kobe sliders cooked medium. The wings and fries were good though. The draft beer list didn’t wow my fiancée or me. For a tap house, I wasn’t expecting to see a bunch of brews I already knew, nor do I feel generic beer like Modelo should be on draft instead of fun craft beers.
Everyones drink was served in a short curvature glass and Im not quite sure if it was appropriate nor complimentary to the order. I had an IPA and someone else had ordered a blue moon. I have never received it in a glass like that. Would be interested in the reasoning. Love the live music, the service was ok. And I enjoyed the food too.
Very nice menu offering. Large beer selection. Duck bacon , brie and apple sandwich was really good. Duck was tender and not dry as it can be if not cooked properly. Service was prompt and friendly. Price for food was about right. Burger was cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered.
Great place! Nicely decorated, very welcoming establishment, great food!Has a semi-private room on the far side. Im told that will soon get a wall to further separate it from the noise & activity of the bar. Nice owner. Great guy. (its great to see the old Bakers Square building, which has been vacant forever. lol )
I have been here twice. The first time the food and service was excellent. The second time I went the food was ok, the service was not good. The server was not happy to be there or answer questions about their new menu. So I will give it one more shot and let ya know how it went. Went back and service was awful, food was OK at best. Its a pretty new place but it seems like an old joint that had its heyday and now its just coasting on autopilot. I have only been there for lunch and it is barely staffed. I do have to say the weekday bartender is a very nice woman who seems to know her stuff. She is good with people and is the only person that seems to care and do her best. Such a shame because it could be a great place. I give it another year bro it closes.
The food here is great, but the service has continued to go downhill and is now terrible. I just went here for lunch, within the first 2 minutes of us sitting down the waitress asked if we were ready to order twice, we hadnt even opened the menus yet. Then she disappeared for over 15 minutes before coming back to take our order. I tried catching her eye, but she completely ignored us. We placed our order, along with a separate order to take to go. The food took about 20 minutes to come out. Shrimp tacos, a chicken ceasar salad and fries, nothing with special requests. She disappears again, never checking on us to see if we needed anything or make sure our orders were correct. She comes back another 15 minutes later, I ask her if she put in the pretzel to go order, of course she did not. So that took another 15 minutes. In the bathroom 2 of the 3 stalls had no toilet paper, there were no paper towels, and no soap. We let the bartender know, he didnt seem to care. Keep in mind the whole time we were at the restaurant there were maybe 5 tables of 2-4 in the entire place. Its unfortunate this place has gone completely downhill and I will not be returning.
Good to very good food - cheese curds were great, but only decent sauces, mac and cheese was pretty good. service was terrible, it was NYE but the place wasnt terribly busy - app came up before drinks, had to ask for silverware, refills werent offered and plates sat at the table with multiple passes. great price on Tuesdays with a $4 quality burger. been twice now, food is worth it, despite the service.
Good beer selection at reasonable prices. The food is ok, but not great. There are too many TVs playing sports. I realize that the majority rules in that respect, but I dont have to like it.It is right next to Tonys supermarket, so I like to eat here before going grocery shopping.
This place is my favored. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The team is very affectionate and the cooking they place on your table is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a good dinner here. I recommend this place with pleasure.
The food was great, the place was very clean, the prices were fair, and the service was excellent. We went with our 19months old, who could eat a hamburger slider, since theres not a child menu available. However, that was not a problem for us. Definitely coming back to this place.* Update - 4/5weeks after the original review: they now offer a child menu with crayons!! Wonderful!! Thanks!!
Went on a Wednesday, half price tacos, Ahi tuna taco, awesome. Service was fine, server was friendly but not overly so. Only checked on us a few times which was ok. Atmosphere was like a bar without being loud and obnoxious and was lit better. Extensive menu but not many dessert choices. Tried the Homemade Kit Kat.....I will pass next time. Over all I liked it and most likely will visit again.
I went with some friends here for a good night out. First off impressions were great. Everything about the menu and venue was very attractive and appealing. A little on the smaller side, but still an outstanding presentation. You could seat yourself too. It took a while for someone to come to us, but we didnt mind. The owner came to our table and introduced himself, which was really nice! Staff seemed professional and willing to serve us. There were some cons though. We ordered the, Loaded Tator Tachos, as an appetizer and although there was a good amount of flavor, it wasnt something I would order again. Presentation was slightly mediocre, and not anywhere close to the photo. The food was average as well. I ordered a burger medium and received it well done. My friend also received his burger well done when he ordered medium and it was slightly soggy. The food was good, but not great, and could definitely be worked on! I would still give this restaurant time to grow though and expand. Drinks were the best part. Diverse and wide menu of drinks, and definitely creative as they state in their motto! You might have to wait a while for them though.
What an increadeble place to enjoy a meal and a drink. The servers are unbelievable...always smiling and helpful and eager to make you feel welcome. The food is assaum...regardless what you order. Everything is fresh tasting and cooked to order. You must try the Tap house burger...moist and so flavorful...absolutely must give this place a try...great beer selection. And the mixed drinks are out of this world
I went to Tap House Grill as part of a Paint and Sip activity. While I did not eat anything the beverage I had was very good. I also had the chance to see what meals people at my table ordered and they all smelled and looked really good. Definitely a place I want to go back and try.
We went (4 of us)about 6:00 pm on Christmas Eve. Only 6-7 other parties of 2-3 adults. Only 1 bartender, who was also the GM, 2 cooks and 1 new trainee. It took us over an hour to get our food. My husband ordered a club sandwich in which the bacon was raw. He ended up returning it with no replacement because it took so long the 1st time to get our food. The 2 people working in the kitchen was more concerned that there was no more customers after 7 oclock and wanted to get out of there but the general manager kept trying to tell them that the orders they had were from 6 oclock and were behind. The general manager who seemed to be on top of everything and had his hands wherever he was needed, even in the back cooking food. People were waiting for long periods of time for their checks, for their additional drinks and the general manager did tell us that he called the owner & he tried to call several other people in for help and not one person responded to him. I sent a message to the contact us on their website to management that night stating my concern and that it was our 1st time in there and we were very disappointed and got no response from him whatsoever. This will be the only time that I will visit taphouse as I will not be back. The general manager was kind enough to comp everyone in the restaurant their meal and we did get $50 off of our bill and only paid for 1 round of drinks but still for management to not reach out and at the very least apologize and try to keep a customer and have us come in and give it 1 more try doesnt say a lot about him or his business. Plenty of other ale houses in the area for us to go to!!
I had high hopes for this place since its so close to my house. But my family and I were highly disappointed. You would think they would try to have the best food and service being their first week but that was not the case. Service was extremely slow and the place was not busy at all at 10-11 p.m. Then my dads fries were so stale, definitely old fries just warmed up. And the avocado on ny mom sandwich was black. Waitress barely checked up on us, and they have daily deals online on half off apps but apparently not valid until October at this location (which isnt listed on their website). Maybe things will improve but as of now I was not pleased with my experience here.
This location was really disappointing. I was actually shocked, based on my experience at other Tap House Grill locations. The restaurant is dirty. The windows are especially noticable. The place smells like cooking oil. Funky, in a bad way.The service was good - no real complaints there, and the food was ok.Someone vomited all over the bathroom last night, and whole that is not the fault of the restaurant, I felt it took a while for it to be cleaned up.On our way out, one of the exit doors is broken. This restaurant is not that old, and I feel that may be a safety hazard.I wont return to this location.
My company ordered food for a meeting. Six meals total. When I went in to pick our food up. I waited about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me, but even then it was just a smile while walking by. I walked up to the bar to let them know I was picking up an order and it took another 10 minutes before the bartender came back to ask me if I needed anything, again I explained I was picking up an order. After getting our order and driving just down Barrington to my meeting, 5 of the 6 meals were cold and the food didn’t taste that great. Personally I had the prime dip sandwich and there was a very small portion of “meat”. What was mostly in that portion was fat. Now this was all within 2 months of opening and I’m hoping the servers and bartender have gotten better, by as for the food, I don’t think they’ve changed how they cook it. Try at your own risk!
Delicious!!! Great atmosphere! Good music, tons of tvs. Got offered a desert on the house. Snickers parfait, amazing! Burger was great! Chicken and rice soup was fantastic! Fries were cooked to perfection! Emmunal was Very welcoming and friendly!! I will definitely be coming back here soon to try something new!!
If I could give this place a 0 I would. I went in right before the dinner rush. It was not busy by any means. There is self seating so I helped myself to a table. While I was sitting there waiting to be greeted, there were 3 groups of people that came in within 10 minutes. Each and every one of them was greeted and received menus by the servers except me. After waiting over 10 minutes with no menu, drinks or utensils, I just got up and left. Lets just say I will never go back there again.
Food was pretty good here. Service wasnt near as good. It was triva night, but still not that busy. There was probably less than 50% occupancy, but it took quite awhile to have anyone take our order, and awhile for the food to arrive. Food did taste really good, and everyone was friendly.
Being a new restaurant, it has some nuances of a new place, but it has potential to be great. Service was a bit slow. Wait staff was not very familiar with the menu. Food was slightly above average quality, and they had many unique menu items. Once they polish the rough edges, I think this could be a great addition to the local restaurant options.
Food is pretty good and the servers are nice and attentive. Their marketing of “over 40 beers on tap” is complete BS though. Sure they have tons of taps showing but I’ve been here 3 times so far and out of the 10ish beers I’ve asked for 6-7 were currently “out”. I like to try different random beers so i get some might be out but they didn’t even have Blue Moon.... ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! Come on management running out of fairly popular beer such as blue moon on a Friday can not be good for business.
Been here twice now including today and wasnt impressed either time. I ordered an hour ahead today to have it ready at 530 and when I got there it wasnt even ready so I had to wait 10 minutes just for them to make it. Last time I had a burger and Ive had better burgers at culvers. I wouldnt spend money at this place, only reason Ive gotten food from there is I had a free gift card given to me.
Fast server introduction with menus. Took the beer recommendation. The wife ordered what turned out to be the biggest BLT sandwich piled with bacon we have ever seen. I ordered a flat bread very good. Server was available and prompt. Was too full for desert but the cheese cake and brownie will be on our radar for our next visit. Dont forget the cheese curds they arent frozen they buy the curd and batter dip before frying.
Three times Ive been here. 1st time: Burger & fries. Stellar. 2nd time: Turkey burger bowl, habanero wings, totchos. Good service, good food, got sick after. 3rd time: Turkey bacon ranch unwrap, exotic wings. Decent service, what to me looked and tasted like frozen and microwaved Brussels sprouts (the server apologized but still charged me the $1 upgrade to my side that I didnt even know about!), gastro intestinal distress. I dont think Im risking it again.
I just came to pick up an uber eats order and the staff forgot to put in the order so I had to wait like 15 minutes which is fine but I just got the general sense that they didnt really care. Didnt offer me water or anything. And then when the order was ready it was just sitting in the window and I had to ask if that was my order before they started to bag it
We ordered loaded tater tot nachos and no less than 2 minutes later we got it thought wow we will have great service. I ordered kobe beef burger medium it came well done, my wife ordered skirt steak medim well it came medium rare. It took at least 40 minutes to get our dinner. We complained to waitress who needed to take a class on how to be a waitress, the asst manager came and apologized. Not even a few bucks off the bill. I give this place a couple months!!! 1 star because i cant make it 0 stars!!!!!
I visited Tap House earlier this week and had a great experience. Our server Neha was very friendly and delivered our drinks and food items in timely manner. She had good knowledge about the drinks and food on the menu. She even suggested a few beers as my husband is a craft beer drinker. He is a fan of IPAs and sour beers. She strongly recommended the Heretic Fruitful and brought a sample of it and the Tap House own Crimson Nectar. She was very polite and hope to come back and will be asking for her. We recommend Tap House Grill in Hanover. Great food, drinks, and servers!
I would give this place zero stars if I could. We came here to check this place out for a late lunch on Saturday. There were only a handful of other people there. We decided to sit at the bar as you usually receive better service at places when sitting at the bar. We sat there for over ten minutes before the bartender asked what we would like to drink. Waited another 15-20 minutes before she ever stopped by to ask is about our food order. My wifes beer glad sat empty for over 10minutes. We ordered wings to start with and they were mediocre at best. We both ordered flatbreads for our meal and they were hands down without a doubt the worst I have ever had. Both of our flatbreads were cold, soggy and doughy tasting. The bartender was out from behind the bar more time than she spent behind the bar even though there was a separate server for the floor. She also decided it was ok to sit at the bar without what appeared to be her mom and eat and go back and forth between sitting and eating and going behind the bar all without washing her hands. Stay far far away from this place unless you like unsanitary conditions, horrible food and pathetic service.
From the first moment you step in that place the personel give you an agreeable feeling. Very courteous stuff, it is a happy restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. enjoyable meals, talented chief cook and stuff, modest price and generous service. Warmly recommended.
Ive recently moved to this area and while I am familiar with Taphouse, I was a little dissatisfied with the service at this one. When I lived and worked near Des Plaines, I would visit the Taphouse there and always received great service even if the kitchen messed up an order once in a while. However out of my three visits to THIS location, Ive only gotten good service once. On a positive note, the kitchen detail is great. I would suggest not ordering food late though, because the quality definitely falls short as they get close to closing.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE. My husband and I went in last night, we ordered our drinks. I asked for a Margarita with Patron tequila, the waitress seemed confused by what I was ordering, first she was like I dont think we have that, she was like let me ask. It seemed like she didnt know anything and seemed nervous. 20 minutes later we still didnt have our drinks, no acknowledgement by this waitress whats so ever....we didnt even get her name, wish I had!! Another waitress noticed that we had been sitting there for a while, she said she was going to go check on our drinks. She passed by us again and didnt say a word to us, so my husband and I got up and walked out!! First and last time we ever go to this place.
Good food, kind of pricey. It was my first time there and I live very close so planning on making it a regular spot as it has a good bar atmosphere. They have a rewards program where once you spend $200, you get $20 back. I signed up at the restaurant and had the server help me. Then after spending $100 he didnt apply it to my account. I used a credit card and called the next day as I didnt realize til I got home that it wasnt added to my account. I called the restaurant and they told me they couldnt do anything for me since I didnt have the hard copy of my receipt. I had a good waiter but it is upsetting that after he knew I signed up for the program he didnt apply it.
For Hanover Park it gets 4 stars since there is really nothing else close to a regular sports bar in the area. Most anywhere else I’d give it 3 stars. It is clean, safe, decent menu, lots of TVs. I like the tater tots they are crunchy and salty, but get them regular, not the loaded which become just a big mess. Shrimp tacos are also pretty good. Good place to meet friends or even take a family.
Went today with my wife and came out disappointed. We ordered:Salmon - house specialties menuBeer Brined chicken - house specialties menuWine - Pinot NoirStrawberry MargaritaThe Salmon was decent. It comes with brown and my wife thought it was good. The chicken was absolutely horrible. The menu says that the chicken comes with 11 herbs and spices, but there was no taste to it. The meat tasted old and it was very hard. I have never had such a bad chicken. And they say that you cannot go wrong with chicken, but this place proves that you can.The wine was not bad and the Margarita needed some help. The place looks nice, but the food needs some serious revamping. We are not willing to go back and waste our money again.
Called in an order for pickup at the HP location. The girl that answered the phone seemed annoyed that she had to take a sale from a paying customer that already knew what to order. This employee was extremely short and abrupt. I’d hate to imagine what would happen if I was indecisive and slow to order! The pickup process is a total cluster. No process whatsoever.Additionally, the order was incorrect. To top it all off, I was offered a “free appetizer” in exchange for the 30 extra minutes of wait while they fixed the order. Bold of you to assume that I’ll return to this dump for a free appetizer.
The bar is kinda meh. We went for after work drinks and the bartender that was there when we arrived didnt know how to make any drinks. Luckily she left after not to long and the drinks got better. My friend complained that his beer tastes watered down and when we told the waiter we were told that the had their lines flushed and it was possible that it was actually watered down. Now being a bar that specializes in tap beer, wouldnt you make sure that the water is out of the lines prior to serving a customer watered-down beer? Just a thought.
Food is fantastic. Im a wedding dj and this is my nights end go to after a Saturday wedding to wind down. Taylor (bartender) is awesome. Ive been going there a few months and she recognizes my car and sometimes has my drink on the bar when I come in. Tgats customer service! Love this place!
Been to several of their locations and I must say....Consistency is key! I finally ventured over the Hanover Park location and wow.... What a hdden in plan sight Gem. I love the environment and the staff. The kitchen really moves the food out fast hot and ready. Bartenders are awesome overall a great place for any occasion. It was a no brainer for me to decide to go back and with my daughter to take part in their gingerbread event and selfies with Santa. Tap house is amazing. Keep it going...
My wife and I really liked this place when we first started ordering from there (on DoorDash). Id get the smokey mac and cheese and shed get the Kobe beef sliders. Then, out of nowhere, both those items just disappeared off the menu.I tried subbing the regular mac and cheese and my wife tried the prime rib sliders, but both didnt come close to living up to what we previously had. The sauce was severely lacking both times I ordered it. The prime rib sliders were boring. If they being back the other items, or up the quality of the other items l weve had, Id definitely love to go back.
2nd time here with Aakash as my server. Just like last time the service was amazing!!! Also the bartender who’s name I forgot was great as well. She made a great beer recommendation and I now have a new beer to add to my list. Thanks again for the great food and service.
This place has definitely gone downhill the past 2-3 months. I used to go in after work with 5-6 people each week to see Candace, Taylor, Kaitlin and Matt but they all seem to be gone now. The people who are left dont really seem to know whats going on and its starting to show. Orders are taking longer to come out and my wings the past 2 times have been under cooked. Probably wont be returning anymore. shame.
Dave, the manager is a terrible person. I watched him berate an elderly woman to hysterical crying when he was drunk at the bar because he wanted the slot machine she was using. Being drunk and gambling at your place of employment is not a good look. I tried to tell Mo, the owner but he had his bros back. I wont be back. In fact I noticed all the regulars at another local bar. Turns out they find Dave pretty unlikable too.
This has to be one of the finest establishments in Hanover Park. The ambience of the atomsphere was warm and welcoming. The wait staff was very polite and paid attention to detail when ordering. The food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious! The appetitizers to the main course dishes were done in such a professional manner, when brought to the table the display of food on the plate was like a work of art 👌🏽 There are so many selections on the menu but these are some of the best for first timers. The best appetitizers are the Cheddar Stuffed Bacon, Loaded Tater Totchos, and the Double Decker Southwestern Chicken Quesadillas. Best Shareables were Mac N Cheese Bacon Tacos, Prime Rib Trio Sliders, and Duck Wings! 😋 Best burgers were The Kobe beef burger, The Tap House Brew Burger, and the Bleu Cheese Bacon Mushroom Burger. The Best dessert I would recommend is the 10 Fresh Sticky Chocolate Caramel Donuts! 😋 Last but not least, the owner Moe is just a nice down to earth guy. He came to the table and introduce himself to my friends and I. He was very warm and welcoming. He made sure that every one was taken care of, was happy with the food, service, and thanked my friends and I for stopping in. He is the type of owner that other restaurants need and the prime example of why I will keep spending my money at his establishment. Id give this restaurant a 10/10 and recommend it to anyone that just wants a nice chill place to have fun, meet new people, and enjoy some really Amazingly Delicious food! 💪🏽
Just left, looking for a different place close to home but we won’t be back. Food was awful, Tilapia tacos were just awful tasted old. My step daughters flatbread was literally terrible and undercooked. The place was messy and tables not bussed. Seat yourself option was probably a bad concept during dinner rush.
I am super excited to see this restaurant Hanover Park. My first time there was great, the server was friendly and the food was delicious. I tried the prime rib sliders and wow- perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their outdoor patio overlooks the car show which takes place in the adjacent parling lot every Saturday.
In the middle of our second visit right now. Been here 45 minutes and finally had to ask to get drink refills. Cheese curds took 20 minutes and dont know where our soups are. The place is new and has good food and beers but both visits have been extremely slow with little to no checking in. Plan on spending at least an hour and a half mostly waiting.
Food was delicious but the service was terrible ! Got there at 6:30 ..ordered by 6:45...food took over 30 minutes to arrive, and was not hot because it had sat waiting to be picked up. Had to ask 3 times for ketchup which arrived when we were bg early done. Only 24 other people in the restaurant.
Horrible service, food recived was not what i asked for or is it anything they offer mixing dish up, I normaly leave good reviews but this place trash all in front for resturant look horble. Orded a long island when I recived it, look different than normal so I tasted it nothing like long island I guess they must have new people not know what what. In my eye the manager running this place doing a very bad job they didnt even offer refund on food I didnt eat, we told they to look menu showing what I wanted and they just shook there head, this not my 1st time here come here on reg why know this dish was wrong but there attitude what got me. Please slipping never got dollar from me and your outside patio and one of the pole holding it up damaged and has one bolt holding it up hope you fix before summer and people are sitting out there. This place will not last long.
My boyfriend and I would probably consider Tap House Grill our local bar. We sit at the bar and have a meal with our drinks. Give their loaded tater totchos a go! That was unbelievably tasty and quite large for an appetizer. We both had their kobe beef burger with fries. Yum!
Came here yesterday to enjoy a pint and watch march madness. They wouldnt let me buy a beer even though I had 3 forms of ID: my passport, my Indian drivers license, and a US employment card. All of them had my date of birth on it. Im like 30 years old and no way do I look like I am 18 or 20.I mean thats just the most ridiculous thing I have heard.the level of security here is even more than than immigration I went through when I came to the US. Note to US immigration services: you may want to hire these guys. LolBut anyway, coming to my point..the only acceptable form of ID to buy a beer at this bar is a US issued drivers license, US issued passport, or US issued state ID.In order words, sorry travelers from around the world, sorry immigrants who dont have a US issued ID yet, you wont feel very welcomed here.Highly disappointed and absolutely ridiculous
We just had our Christmas party there and the staff so so nice. Taylor and Shelley made sure that all the girls had full drinks and that our food was hot and ready and delicious. They even stuck around and giggled with us a little. I would defiantly go back with family or friends..
Ive always talked up Kumas Korner as my favorite burger in Chicago. Decided to try out Tap House Grill in Hanover Park and Im glad I did. The double bypass burger is actually better than anything Ive had at Kumas . Im picky with my burgers, and this place surprised me. Id say best burger in Chicago.
Extremely bad experience, first of all all the food here is just terrible . I ordered nachos that were just honestly so god damn bad the WORST & I received them way at the end after I finished my main dish , the flat breads were just exetremely basic & received it cold . Dont be fool by their addictive food promotion its addictivly bad , DONT COME HERE!
Waited at the bar which was mostly empty except for 3 other people for about 20 minutes bartender wouldn’t acknowledge existence was just flirting with a guy on the other side of the bar. Ended up leaving before even making an order. Other waitress told bartender twice that o was just sitting there waiting for them

2021-07-04Firstly, glad to see this local spot open again. So when I found its open, my wife and I went to dinner there. I had the 1/2 BBQ chicken with sweet potato fries and corn on the cob. Wow what a great selection! Cooked nicely and moist with BBQ sauce on top. Fries crispy and cooked thoroughly. Most definitely coming back for more. Also, Dana our server was awesome!

2022-03-01Went there just before the holidays and had an awesome experience. The server was very nice and hospitable. The food was great. We went back last night and it was a completely different experience. The server came to take our order and we told her that we hadn’t received any menus. (The last time we were there, we received actual menus)She tapped on a QR code taped to the table and walked away.Dumbfounded by her actions, we still proceeded to scan the QR code. We spent a few minutes trying figure out how to navigate the online menu. During our last visit the server explained the specials as well as some popular dishes as it was our first time ever dining at this restaurant. After a few moments of browsing the online menu we decided to leave as we didn’t appreciate the lack of customer service. We didn’t think we’d be ordering from a fast food restaurant. We are Streamwood residents and we won’t be going back. Out-of-Towners beware.

2022-02-20Terrible. Went on a weekday around 2 pm. There was only one other table in the place and it took forever to be greeted. I ordered the black and blue burger with no cheese, pickles or tomatoes. It cane out WITH pickles and on a regular bun (was supposed to be a pretzel bun). The bartender/waitress just shrugged and didn’t seem to care. The food was not good either. Lastly, the music was blaring like it was a weekend night, which was obnoxious. I almost left after arriving because of the music and inattentiveness. Now I wish I had.

2022-01-23Great service. Server Dana was very personable & knew the menu well. Food was good but way over priced! $15 for a club sandwich. Really? Then they had the nerve to charge 12.7% tax!Bye bye. Wont be back.

2022-02-27Saturday night and about 8 guest at the bar with 3 tables. Ordered the skirt steak medium. 40 minutes later, the food finally arrived. Everything was cold. The fries were cold, the steak was cold, the vegetables were cold, the plate was cold. Our entire table’s food was cold. Friend has the prime rib, that was cold, mashed potato’s was cold, vegetables were cold. Other friend ordered exotic shrimp basket to be brought out with her quesadillas. That was all cold. Two stars because the server was nice.

2022-03-31A total transformation post covid. Exciting dishes and appetizers that not only are great but are also very fresh. Highly..HIGHLY recommended. The bar manager, Sarah is one of the best service oriented individuals I have ever met. A must MUST experience.

2022-01-29Came here specifically for the totchos as I remember how good they were. Our server said they discontinued them, and a simple check of other locations confirms they’re no longer on the menu. I’ve been craving them for a couple months now and the level of my disappointment is immeasurable. They still have other great options like their burgers, so don’t avoid this place all together.
