What can you say its a flea market..love the outdoor vendors you can see much more..great taco stand outdoors also..loved the grilled polishes the use to have out there.. (not sure what happened or where they are🤔)great bargains on lots of items from cleaning to clothing..and fruit (not sure where they get it but its always sweet and priced unbelievably low..yes..bring your cart!!!
Great finds, hands down where else can you find a Bernie Sanders piñata...who knew. Theres something for everyone: art, barber supplies, toiletry items, purses, clothing, collectables, antiques, tattoo supplies, bedding, tools, plants, and so much more. Arrive early to beat the crowds, wear comfortable shoes for walking and a wagon or shopping cart make hauling purchases much easier for those bargainholics.
Most of the booths inside were covered up which was disappointing. It is set up a little haphazardly inside as well. Outside had lots of vendors. Everyone that was open both inside and out had a great selection of items at fair prices. It was clean and the price of admission is more than fair.
Uncle Johns Flea Market15205 Wicker Ave Cedar Lake, IN, US 46303One of the best Flea Markets In the Midwest with over 300 inside vendors and 150 Outside vendors year round. Open Ever Saturday and Sunday, Free parking and Admission. Come shop the deals and meet friendly Vendors and Save some money! Why Pay $2 per person to shop!
Always a pleasure to come here! There were so many people and stands open today, new and old. It was a nice day too so that always helps. Managed to grab an acoustic guitar. The point is... this was a good day to go to the market for sure to spend major money and bargain.
I love going to the flea market they have a variety of things there that you can get and the prices are really reasonable theyre affordable whatever you looking for you can find it at the flea market you just have to go from Booth to boost to get the price you want some of them may be the same some of them may not and it cost $2 to get in for adults and $1 for seniors and its just the ride unless you live out that way.
I went here once and once was good enough for me . Way too overcrowded people elbow to elbow packed in together like sardines . It was dirty the bathrooms were disgusting . Venders were rude trying to overprice on low quality items . Definitely not worth the entrance fee which is ridiculous . The only good thing about this place was the tacos and that s me being nice . Never again!
Been going since I was 8. I love this place. I would go here every week If I could. always finding something new and use able. great deals on clothes. they have a little bit of everything here. you just have to take the time to look. this place is big. and it gets even bigger when the outside is open.
IVE NOT ONLY VISITED THIS PLACE FOR YEARS, I WAS ALSO A VENDOR THERE AS WELL. IVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS PLACE AND I ALWAYS WILL. BUT BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMIC PANDEMIC ON MERCHANTS AND THE MERCHANDISE RESTRICTIONS VENDORS HAVE TO ADHERE TO, THIS PLACE IS NOW ONLY A SHELL OF ITS ONCE GLORIOUS SELF. VENDORS MUST WORK HARDER TO PROMOTE THEIR BUSINESSES INDIVIDUALLY, AND AS A GROUP, OR SWAP-O-RAMA WILL EVENTUALLY CLOSE THEIR DOORS FOR GOOD. 🚪 I SINCERELY HOPE NOT.
Anything ur lookn for this Flea Market has it to Household things, shoes, clothes, jewelry, Shea butter, bikes or Miscellaneous things. You need it they have it I believe its $2 to get in and it’s only open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays but get there early they are always crowded and I mean crowded on the weekends!! Here’s a few things I bought the Cute red studded cat ears for my lit cousin in Florida and the Ole School Converse with the diamond studs on the toe for myself the lady will bedazzle anything u want!! Have fun I do every time I go!
Drove over 1 hour to get here in order to be here at opening. We had other things to do today to get done so came early. Got here at 7:10 am. Line of vendors a mile long! No one inside, all locked up. Why do you say open at 7 am? YOU ARE NOT OPEN . No one is ready to sell anything! Waste of time .
2 dollar entrance is ridiculous. The aisles are so crowded that I would never bring my kids here. People are so rude, all the stuff is cheap and probably made in china. I wouldnt waste my money coming back here. Most of the food places were out of food, not that I would eat there it looked so dirty. The bathrooms were gross my butt didnt even touch the seat. The vendors outside started packing up 2 hours before close, which made me just want to leave that much sooner.
Finally found a very reliable and trusted place, that can fix my gold without having to drive to Little Village.Davids jewelry was able to fix, clean and make me new jewelry from my old jewelry. Im very pleased with their service and will continue to take my business to them if I need to. I highly recommend them for their services.
I havent been in over a year due to the pandemic but decided I was ready to go back. Although the weather wasnt the best yesterday there were lots of vendors outside.I was extremely pleased with the new food stand. They were making all the food fresh to order. They now have Wings and Italian Ice and other items. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was awesome. A freshly cooked burger with fresh toppings cant be beat. The Italian Ice was the best Ive ever had.Id go back just for the food!
This is an excellent place for deals. Be prepared to have cash on hand as entry is cash only. Do not worry as most of the vendors are able to take debit/credit card payments. Ample free parking. There are no maps to navigate as vendors rotate and change locations. Ive spoken of this place from a customers standpoint this far, but this place is great for entrepreneurs and established businesses looking for opportunities for growth and exposure.
Fun place and good prices but you gotta be careful with some stuff. They had “pink” merchandise that was not the real deal as well as a few other sewn on tags on non legit items. Good deals on household items, perfume, clothes, etc. I have liked it since I was a kid. It is a good place.
I hadnt been to Swap-O-Rama in 10+ years. Its still fairly busy, despite Covid restrictions. $2 admission at the door. Children under 12 are free. Bring a mask. Mask reminder signs are posted. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building. There are a lot of indoor vendors, and plenty of outdoor vendors, too. There are a few food booths, mostly tacos, tortas, nachos, and cheese fries. Have fun!
Only had one bad experience with the Greek restaurant that make fresh fruit smoothies and ice cream. I stood there 10 mins for them to keep ignoring me, when the lady finally acknowledged me and guy walked up and she moved right to him. We wanted like 6 drinks, we walked away. It had flies everywhere anyway.
My boyfriend and I frequent this location. It’s crowded and usually no central air but the deals are worth the trouble. Multiple vendors, amazingly priced. Each time we go we have our favorite stops, but we love to try new people and see what they have to offer. Always new deals/items to find. Cash only businesses. I recommend anyone go early and look around.
Pretty good flea market I was glad to get back home to do some real shopping one thing people need to understand within the flea market it is a flea market things can be bargaining with price wise do not come in with the assumption you are regular store because this is Chicago its a bargaining City if you want to finagle with prices or not to be lenient with prices you need to get into your own storefront
This place is great. They have amazing deals on home goods, tools, techn, clothing, and literally tons of everything. The vendors there are people who hold their booths for years so if you ask if they accept returns on used items and they say yes I truly trust them.Being in the trades one thing that I love about this place is if you need that one specific tool just for one job, you can usually find it there at a low cost. Instead of full price at a hardware storePlus for only $2 its fun to just go and look around.
Went on the weekend, obviously busy which is normal. The items for sale are nice and you can find some cool things here. Some vendors look as if they found the trash from their backyards and are attempting to sell it, but that’s not why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. In the midst of COVID-19, the building appears to have done the bare minimum in attempts to keep shopping safe. People still swarm in clusters and sometimes the hallways are shoulder to shoulder-virtually impossible to social distance. If they could have the vendors less cluttered and broadened the walk ways, it would be a better environment to safely shop in.
This place is amazing! There are so many vendors it literally took us all day to walk around this place. There are a lot of similar vendors but different prices so you can compare. Also they had a lot of dedicated vendors that were actually outside in 30 degree weather selling their items. This was my first time back to the flea market since I was around 18 years old and it has grown so big since then I cant wait to go back we bought so much stuff for so cheap its amazing I love it I cannot say enough good things about the Swap-O-Rama in Alsip
Its been well over 10 years since I shopped here and I am so amazed of how much it has grown! I love flea markets and this one is my favorite! I found beautiful handbags, electronics, clothing, fragrances, etc. I was a kid in a candy store so to speak and I got more than enough bargains here that I didnt expect to get. I will DEFINATELY be back again soon!
Get there when it opens, plenty of parking, huge spacious lot but so many people going there the lot gets full to all the way back 😀. Wonderful deals but huge place , inside and out, full of deals. You can find anything, especially weird items, t-shirts, music, motercycle items, gardening tools, soaps laundry items, fruit, vegetables, you name it, this place has it. Lots of walking and looking around to find items. This is not a upscale facility and kind of dim but plenty of room to social distance. Oh yes plenty of COVID-19 masks 😷 with all kinds of designs. There is lots of negotiating with prices. Take a shopping cart it you going to buy, as youll get other items due to the bargains.. Dont go here with an uppity attitude, its not the place. Lol, Its a Flea Market!
This place is so big. I think we got lost twice while we were there and we were there for about 45 minutes to an hour. There is an inside plaza and an outside area to look around. There are so many vendorswith some pretty cool things. I bought two pairs of jeans at $7 for the pair and they were name brand for my boyfriend. I was able to talk him down $3 these people are so amazing and take such a great amount of time and Care in their displays. next time we go through I will definitely make a point to stop. The entrance is a little difficult to find but using Google is a huge help. It will take you right to the entryway of the building.
This Place is Extremely Awesome, Anything You need no doubt Pretty Much do not hesitate You will definitely not be Mad. If I had to choose a Flee Market to go too Everyday Mannnn Im guranteed to go here everyday Solidly no ifs ands no Doubt Buys about the it aI recommend the whole world to attend
Nice to get up early on a Saturday Morning and shop around for items you cant find in stores. Also just good to go and walk around to get out the house you might never know what youll find. Variety of teas handmade soaps, car items , Avon, Shea butter, essential oils,Jewelry, household items ,food,Sun glasses, Purses, Cloths ,socks by the bundle, music and you can even get hair care service plus much more! A Must see
I love ittttt Good Place, Security is the Best.. The only comment is the Enter for vendors no have Reservations in more that 7:30 am.and I Arrived at 4:45am. the Customers and Visitors is ready inside when I Going thru. No to much time to Prepare everything for bring Fast Service. Thank you. I Love the Variety of Stuff,The Food and The Prices.💪
In past flea markets were free to get in. 2.00 a person you think it would be cleaner! Bathrooms are dirty, smelly! And how many germs? Items being sold are expensive you can go to a discount store. No wonder they have no sales. I go to see the odds and ends stuff. Heard 1 vendor say about CUSTOMER that asked to come down on price and vendor laughed at him!! Well without customer he wouldnt make sale. Few cents/dollar more you can buy brand new and fresh. Not sunbaked from sitting in sun and not know how fresh or new it is.
If you have seen one flea market you have seen them all, right? Well this one is pretty big so at least you have lots of options. A lot of the products are similar but prices vary dramatically. Make sure you are ready to haggle or do some in depth hunting for the best price. The best deal was the fresh fruit and produce purchased. They carry everything from used electronics, to weapons, cosmetics, perfumes and oils, and of course clothing. You can even get a hair cut and some decent churro.
This place has a little bit - or a whole lot in some cases - of everything, seriously. I absolutely love flea markets in general and this one in particular. It is not only cheap to get into - only $2 a person - but the prices for the goods are also very reasonable. All of the sellers are really friendly and easy to deal with, and the stuff they sell is generally quite good.In most cases where the item is new and there is an issue, such as a pair of headphones that dont work or a sweatshirt that doesnt fit, you can just bring it back to the seller for a refund or exchange. (The only hard part can be remembering exactly what seller it was and being able finding them again - lol. Ive found making a note of their stall number on the receipt to be helpful there.)
Fun place to go to and explore 2$ admission to get in. They have a lot of good produce that is super cheap and looks fresh, however they only stay fresh for a few days and does not keep well. Totally worth it if youre cooking it within 2 days. Lots of unique ethnic spices you wont find at any grocery store. Giant spread of used tools some new as well. Everything else I would rather just get at a target or even dollar store.
This place is amazing! Closest thing youll find in Chicago area to the markets in South Asia. The prices arent as good, but you can barter to an okay deal if you know what youre doing. Youll never know what youll find here, super fun to visit! Great food at the snack area too!!
Its ok. Theres a lot of repetition and it is a lot of personal care products and cleaning products. Especially on the inside thats true. Outside is more like a garage sale lift people sewing personal items like power tools and movies &c ds and such. Inside theres a lot of cell phone repair and Bluetooth speakers and some jewelry and clothing.
Great experience! Lots of vendors, this place has everything u can imagine from household items to mattresses clothing gym shoes baby items an lirs more miscellaneous things! Its a huge place lots of ppl but remember where u park because its easy to lose your car!(lol) they are only open on wednesdays an Saturday an Sunday till 4pm! Great place to kill time an spend money!! Also they have great detox teas! Quality tea items for the tea drinkers. Its so much to say about this place u just gotta visit it yourself!! Oh an theres a 2$ cover charge at the door an 1$ for kids ! They also have food in there 2! Different varieties! Its do big u cant see it all in 1 day
Very yucky place with many vendors selling retail garbage. Its not what it used to be when sellers were more garage sale type sellers, selling good used items or other individual goodies. It has degenerated into made in China junk that is of a lower class than Wal Mart, and there was even a psychic reader person there for a fast buck. When I was walking in there was a young man who was standing at the next entrance over begging people for money for gas - I told the person taking the $2 per person entrance fee and she just shrugged her shoulders.I see no compelling reason for me to ever go back.
$2 to get in, really Why? Not conducive to making you wanna shop. Lots of parking but air conditioning noooo.. So hot in the summer. Lots of vendors but theres no directory. You just have to keep walking and walking and walking. It would bee nice if there were signs or you got something for your entrance fee.
I think when you say youre open until 4 oclock, that means you clear out the customers by 4 and prepare to lock up. As always we there on Saturday December 15 and the place was packed. By 2:45 vendors inside and out were packing up to leave. So crowded and so close to Christmas people were trying to shop. Your vendors behave like youre taking up time and must be so wealthy they dont need to sell anything. When you post closing times I feel that you as a business should be enforcing this. Really tired of coming here to be racing around to see things before they close down an hour and a half early.
Its a flea market. Shop at your own risk and use your best judgement. Did find some good deals like dove soap 4-16oz size bottles for $10 and a silver anklet for my daughter for about $17. (*side note* bought a silver anklet there years ago yes its real silver, I wear it everyday , no it has not tarnished or turned my skin green)😊
I am a BIG fan of Swap-O-Rama, Ive been going for 30+yrs. Anything and Everything your looking for, even a seamstress, (Ive used lotts of times, right there, done while you shop), cheap!! And Christmas time, you cant beat, all kinds of children toys, shoes, boots cloths, new cloths, sports stuff of all kinds, fruits, veggies, you name it, come summet time, outside, everything from car parts, house rebuilding stuff, to outside landscaping materials, You will b back,,,,with more money, beleive me!!!1 stop shop, and very worth your stop !!Check this place out, You wont regret!!🤗
Fun place to shop. Tons of booths to shop from. Large variety of items and prices are usually negotiable. But I must warn you, beware of pickpocketers, especially around holiday season. The place is usually very crowded but I would suggest to visit with a friend to look out for one another while there.
Not bad but not as much diverse group of sealers as it used to have in the bast. I think their is to any jewelry stores and the bargains are not what they used to be. You are paying more then department store prices on a lot of items. Just make sure of the price that you are paying is batter then the store prices.
Was really interested in this as we had read so much about it. The booths outside were mostly junk and socks (Yay I know thats weird). There were probably only 20 outside. Inside was much fuller (vendors) but not many customers. All these booths had phone covers, clothes, cheap jewelry cheap knives, toys, and incense. I attempted to purchase a couple of DVDs (as they pretty much arent wanted anymore). The 1st man said he didnt have movies just books (I didnt see books). The 2nd asked $10 for an older movie, so didnt ask again. The line to the bathroom was super long but not as long as the line to the atm. Food booths werent open at 10:30 buy were finally gearing up around 1pm as they were leaving. I guess Saturday in September probably not a good sale day? You have to pay to get in and although it wasnt much.... I wouldnt go again. But you just never know.

2022-03-20Had a great experience there . I rarely do flea market but because I was in the area from air of town I decide to check it out. They have a huge parking lot and an admission fee of $2.00. They have outdoor and indoor vendor. This review is specially for African Memories store booth 264. I had a great conversation about African art & culture with the owner. I end up purchasing several original African item. Check it out and you will not be disappointed .

2022-05-28This place is huge and took a couple of hours to get through. The permanent booths inside were completely full of products. The pricing on some of it was near or at retail. Outside looked like the garage sale from hell. It was reasonably priced and full of every used and new product you can imagine. Plants, flowers, car speakers, lawn mowers, fruit, clothing, etc. The outside is definitely the best area heres.

2022-07-17I have been attending this flea market for several years. It was always a great experience. The last few times were nothing short of scary. My daughter and I went up to a very short salesman who appears to be from India, asking for the price of a bottle of perfume. The man reached out for my hand and wouldnt let go. Surprised, I had to use force to pull my hand away. Then, three times I have had close encounters where different men were close to snatching my purse being very bold about it. The last incident happened on a Sunday in May 2022. Two large men followed my daughter and me to our vehicle. Once we were near my truck, they positioned one on her side and one on my side, surrounding us. They were clearly about to assault us. I stood there holding my childs arm, waiting to see what happened next. Using my car keys I started my truck. I guess they decided my very rusty, old truck was not worth the crime and after a couple of minutes they just walked away. After that last experience I am not taking my family back to this place. Its just not safe and I never see police in the area.

2022-03-17Youll definitely save some funds here and most sellers have great products new and used. It is a one stop shop pretty much but you can skip the restaurants on site unless you need a snack. But youre better off judging for yourself because you may be a totally different shopper than myself.

2022-05-01Not a bad flea market especially when it’s warm out. There’s usually a lot of vendors in the warm weather. Even cooler weather there’s there’s plenty but the inside is usually all the same stuff every week. People have booths set up and sell the same stuff.

2022-07-31Ive been a buyer, it always looked cool and I wondered how cool it would be to.be on the other side if the table.First time seller. Got there around 5:30 sat in a line of cars till 7am !¡!¡¿!¡??. Staff very kind courtesy and great sence of humor. With the exception of the guy who parked on the other side near my drivers door and his need to get so close Thin Man wouldnt have fit. I had to get a guy to go through passenger side to get me out.Glad I went

2020-09-20We visited this indoor flea market RIGGGHHHTTTTT before they closed, yet we still had time to peruse the aisles and grab some goodies. Aisles and aisles of great finds, goodies, souvenirs and all that jazz. My eyes weren’t big enough to see everything, but I tried. The vendors were wheeling and dealing and ready for us to make purchases. And that we did.$2 per person is the entry fee and considering that you can walk away with lots of great finds is fair.I’m told there’s an outdoor portion as well, but because this day it was raining, it was indoors only.I found there were two sides and both were ample in vendors and items for sale. I saw soap, body lotion, car parts, coats, T-shirts, perfumes etc I don’t think there was one stone left unturned when it came to what was available. They were also eateries to satisfy your hunger while you’re there. And there are a few benches to take a load off.And when you’ve bought more than your arms can carry, you’re able to return to your car and unload and then come back in, make sure to get a stamp on the back of your hand.I plan to return EARLY and with loads of cash to get my shop on.
