The guy who works at the reception is a complete A. We book through Expedia and specifically stated there is 3 of us. When we get there he said they don’t have a room that can accommodate us. Very rude people I’m wondering why they are not closed yet. DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS LOCATION!
If youre here for work, and work nights, DO NOT STAY HERE. Housekeeping will ignore your do not disturb sign and wake you up almost every day around noon. I havent slept more than 4 hours a day in over a week. I have asked pretty much every time if they will come later in the day because I work nights and sleep all day, but they keep coming around 12pm-1pm and completely ignore my do not disturb sign.
One of the nicer motels I’ve ever stayed at. This place is clean and quiet, and a great deal for the price. The only issue I encountered was that they allow reservations online for people 18 and older, when in fact they only allow people 21 and older to stay in their rooms. However, when I ran into that issue, the staff was friendly and we worked things out without my group needing to go elsewhere. It would just be better if the age restriction was made clear online.
They cancelled my reservation without notice. Made me pay for a double bed room instead of the King I reserved. Front desk staff is rude. Breakfast was abysmal (juice, coffee, & 2 cinnamon rolls). Tried to contact the property manager and was told three different days they weren’t there. The guy I spoke with, raised his voice at me and threatened to call the police on me for “trespassing” two days after I checked out. Would NEVER recommend this craphole to anyone and will never stay here again. 1 star is a GENEROUS rating. Waiting to hear back from customer service to rectify this issue. This staff ruined what was otherwise a fine anniversary trip. Housekeeping staff was GREAT!
Breakfast was just store wrapped danishes/muffins. Took forever to get hot water. Rusty garbage can. Rude staff. Run down looking and the photos listed on site does not represent the run down look of the hotel. Did not feel safe in the parking lot or walking up to the room. W Room was clean though and there was a refrigerator.. Would not go back or to another Super 8.
Lady at the front desk on Dec10,2021 was very rude. She would over talk me and In a very rude manner. very judgemental warned me 3 times not to smoke in room when I never told her I smoke nor asked for a smoking room. I also ordered a king size bed and ended up with 2full size beds. Waste of money and very unhappy.. bathroom is nasty
Officially, the worst hotel in the Chicagoland area. This hotel ruined our Thanksgiving. My family and I had 3 rooms here. The morning after checking in, we discovered a bed bug crawling on the blanket. Video and photos were captured as evidence. Upon further investigation of the bed, more bed bugs were discovered. I brought this to the attention of the front desk manager. He immediately became defensive and started using profanity; telling me to get off the property. I went back to my room to pack my things and to my surprise, my room key had been deactivated. He wouldn’t allow me back in the room to retrieve my belongings. Here we are, Thanksgiving morning being told to leave the property without our belongings. I ended up calling Morton Grove police to get them to let me in my room. The officers told us that they get called to this property at least 2x a week due to the front desk managers. He added that they are some of the tackiest people he’s ever encountered. I wish I had known this prior to making my reservation. Please do yourself a favor… DO NOT STAY HERE. There’s a reason the rates are so low. An $85 room is definitely not worth sleeping with bed bugs.
Positive: Cheap Negative: Very poor customer service, rude staff, miscommunication about the $155 deposit. Rm stinks of smoke and roaches, heater is malfunctioning, had to keep my window open and the heater on the whole stay because it smelled so bad. Hallways stink really bad.
Stayed here while visiting the city for our anniversary weekend. Didn’t have high expectations because you get what you pay for. Turned out so much worse than expected. They cancelled our booking beforehand & didn’t notify us or Expedia. Had to pay $10 extra bc they were out of king rooms, husband & I had to sleep in seperate beds. Room was as expected, extra lock on the door was broken & there was rose petals on the floor from people before us. We tried calling on Monday to speak with property manager to resolve the issue with our booking, they weren’t available. We called back today when we were told the manager would be available, surprise surprise he still wasn’t there. The employee that took our call got very defensive very quickly, raised his voice & hung up on my husband. My husband called back & asked to speak to a manager & the employee told him he would call the police on him for tresspassing? Not sure how that makes sense considering we’re 2 1/2 hours away & just trying to resolve a problem that THEY created. But whatever. Long story short, just avoid this place at all costs.
I found the housekeeping staff to be very helpful and courteous!!I have stayed here a couple times when in the area. For the price paid, it is a decent hotel. I felt safe staying here alone.I did not partake in the offered breakfast. The in room fridge keep everything cold and the freezer section kept the ice frozen.
The king size bed was nice but the shower had no hot water. The stairwells felt dangerous and the lighting in the room was weird. Fairly overpriced and no breakfast items provided. The rooms overlook a post office delivery station. You can skip this place. Stay in Skokie next time!
Do not waste your money and your time with those uneducated unprofessional people. They are scammer. They took money out from my credit card without staying there. We canceled a hotel room there and they said okay we canceled and a few days after they stole my money and they rent the room to someone else. Whenever you call they said the guy who is took the money not there so called manager. He is really uneducated and unprofessional person. He try to find any corners to hide just to steal your money. Don’t waist your time with them. It is not worth 0 star
Positive: There¿s nothing to like about this place. If you¿re a solo traveler I would advise you to stay at a safer hotel. Negative: The front desk lady was really rude. She made me feel like my stay was actually a favor she was doing to me... So within 20 minutes of my check in, a couple started a fight in the parking lot. I didn¿t feel safe and checked out in 30min.
The beds were okay and the price was nice. Thats it for the positive comments. The walls around the toilet were covered in little spots that were brown or orange. Im guessing feces and vomit that never got cleaned. The hair dryer was covered in some unidentified brown stuff. The water never got warmer than room temp. The coffee maker didnt work. Upon closer inspection, it was due to the soggy coffee packet that never got disposed of after the previous guest used it during their stay. There was no advertised continental breakfast. There was glass in the exit road that we had to sweep out ourselves cause the clerk couldnt be bothered to do it himself. The outer doors were set up for key access but were locked in the accessible setting. So no key card was necessary to enter the building.
Only put five stars so u could see it … I got bit by bedbugs here last night and then charged 20$ After I requested an hour later checkout( checkouts at 11 I checked out at 12 ). Debating on going to emergency room . It’s starting to look like a cellulitis infection. . Wish they would of sanitized better
Cleanliness = 0/10,Wifi connection = 1/10Carpet had stains and looks like it was never cleaned in ages. Rusty refrigerator. The flooring was sticky (my guess for the stickiness of floors: the cleaner never replaced the water while cleaning due to laziness. Suppose you keep using the same dirty water to wipe all the rooms and floors?!?) and had foul smell coming. The mirror light in the bathroom was not working. Water was not hot enough to take bath. Wifi would keep getting disconnected every 2 mins.Overall pathetic experience.
Upon arrival, I realize I accidentally booked a smoking room. I told manager it was a mistake, and I’d like a non-smoking room. He proceeded to tell me it would be a $80 deposit for non smoking. I was too tired to argue. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. If not for these reasons, I would give 4 stars. Other than that, the hotel was quiet, clean and friendly for a fair rate.
I wish I can but no stars. I didn’t Stay, but the customer service was so bad.. I booked a stay, but couldn’t make it cuz I had Covid. I know I’m not gonna get a full refund. But I would like to get some of my money back. I called 4 time, each time I called the guy on the other line would say I need to talk to the manager, so I would call and the manager was never available.... I would not recommend this place. My uncle stayed there two years ago and got bed bugs.
This is the worst hotel ever. My shower had no hot water, and some nasty looking stain on the wall next to the toilet. Also the flush button on toilet had green something growing on it. I checked in late, and was there just for sleep & a shower. I put the faucet on hot and ran for 30 minutes. Only cold water came out. As I checked out, I tried to explain to the man who seemed to work there about the issues with my room. He was quick to dismiss my concern, and became argumentative saying not true as if I were making it up. I never asked for a discount or anything of the sort, I was just trying to point out a few things that several people somehow missed. I will never return. You should avoid this hotel at all costs. I gave it 2 stars because I honestly did not see any roaches.
The management went out of their way to provide additional services that assisted me in comparing hotels near them. The room and bathroom were clean and all features worked as expected. The rooms decor was nicely updated. One note the toilet was a full size unit not like in some hotels where it is small. The breakfast was typical for a lower end continental breakfast. I would have appreciated some additional items but it was reasonable none the less. I would add that this room was recently vacated and the house services staff did an excellent job of preparing it quickly for my stay.On a side note great job to all , thank you.
My watch & $40 cash were stolen from my room, and the management would do nothing about it. The man at the desk was rude when I checked in. When I went to check out, the woman at the desk was asleep. Something bit my legs, ankles, and feet in 4-5 places. Some sort of insect, I dont know what. My advice is to look elsewhere for lodging..
Hotel had bed bugs! They Tried to charge me because I want a none smoking room and they give me a smoking room I am not a smoker! I ask for a grace period on the check out, the old guy at the front desk was so mean to me I felt like crying then he had the nerve to say he was going to charge me $10 dollars for a late check out after he Screamed at me !The old guy at the front desk don’t not have good customer service at all! Pay attention how he talk to you If you decide to stay in this hole in the wall Hotel!
Great service and good place to crash for a night or two. There is a good amount of smoke smells, usually just in the hallways but that is only because some of the rooms are smoker friendly. If youre in a smoke free room it is very hard to notice at all. I do not smoke but stayed in a smoker room and it was barely noticeable. Good place to stay for good price.
Good location, that was the only good thing. Terrible entryway and parking area. Whoever did the painting and finishing of their bathrooms should be fired. Weird to say that the bathtub was lumpy... But it was lumpy. Very slippery floors after shower. Lotions and shampoos looked like they had already been used. When I asked about late check-out, the manager on duty told me it wasnt possible, but I could have 10-15 extra minutes. That didnt keep the housekeeper from banging on the door at 11:03 though. Never got any reason why I couldnt get a late check out either. Shower was too hot or too cold. Very poor internet that didnt work part of the time I was there. I could go on, but Ill just say you should look elsewhere.Edit after owner response: Added pictures to show what they call renovated not too long ago. Holes in curtains, extremely poor paint job, and I still have no idea what the red stuff splattered behind the toilet was. I hope it was red paint. You should ask for a refund from whoever renovated your hotel.
For the price and location I would stay here again. This room was clean but not updated. This is no Holiday Inn it is a small hotel tucked away, we almost passed it up. The door to the room was a hollow wood door but it was quiet with the exception of the post office trucks loading right outside our window. This goes on at all hours of the night too so I would suggest getting a room closer to the front or on the opposite side of the post office. The gentleman at the front desk was very rude!! So if you need anything don’t ask them. The vending machines don’t take credit cards and there is no ATM to get cash. They do have a very minimal continental breakfast not much to choose from. But I feel like it was a safe area for the most part and the price was great $55 a night. We travel to this area every 2 weeks for my husband to get treatment for stage 4 colon cancer. It is difficult on us financially so cheap is good for us. We are familiar with the area already so we really only need a room and a bathroom with a hot shower and comfy bed. And we got that. Plus saved money by eating ego waffles offered at breakfast. We had a king room and it had a fridge that did not keep my insulin cold and a dirty coffee pot. No microwave no in room safe. There is a tv with direct tv and a guide which was nice. The bed was great. The room was warm. Water was was hot. They did charge us $20 for a late check out. And they also canceled our reservation bc we where not there by 6 pm. You have to call to let them know you are coming still.
I had a three night stay, the rooms where very comfortable with all modern furnishings. There is on site laundry(for small/medium loads)which is always nice. There was a good breakfast with a variety of oatmeal, cereal, waffles, fruit, bagels and yogurt. The staff was very attentive and just nice people. I would recommend to anyone or family for short stays.
This was our 1st time staying at this hotel. It was clean. The staff was very professional & courteous. The continental breakfast was OK The juices were a little watered down and they shouldnt keep the yogurts by the toaster because my yogurt was a little sour. The king size bed was wonderful & very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. It was about a 20 minute drive to reach upper/ north ern Chicago from the hotel.
When walking down the hallway to our room, there was a strong odor of marijuana in the hallway. I informed the front lobby but I do not believe anything was done about it; we certainly received no follow-up.Also, our bed sheets were not clean but had stains on them. The lobby gave us new sheets, but I do not remember the words Im sorry, much less anything else to show that we were valuable customers.I do not want to stay at a hotel where people are smoking pot and we dont have clean bed sheets.
This place allows smoking which is absolutely intolerable. The hallways smelled horrible. The breakfast was small, but I dont care much about that. They used to have a pool, tiny but there, and it is gone now. The hotel doors where in bad shape. Please fix those things and it will be much better, not kid-friendly for now. We were also lied to by staff on the phone. The bathrooms werent the best but okay. But I hate to just be that hater, the place looked okay, just fix the minor things. Make smoking banned, create a nicer looking lobby amd eating area. It could be a two star increase.
Im feeling sick, have a reservation and they wont let me check in! Its a total rip off to not get the room until so late in the day. Plus they do not have an elevator and being disabled as I am, reaching the 2nd floor means I cant leave the room to get ice, get the free breakfast or anything else. First non accessible motel Ive seen and Ive been to almost every one in the area. Additionally, the outlet in the bathroom quit working leaving me with a half shaved head! The outlet is melted! Melted plastic! So you cant reset it!
Clean and basic lodging for travelers on a budget. Specify if you want a non-smoking room when speaking to the front desk staff. Free parking and continental breakfast is included. AC works, refrigerator works. No microwave in the room so be mindful about that when bringing food back to your room. Thanks for reading my review!
Room was clean and quiet, if pretty basic. Service was strange. There was no bottle of conditioner in the room, so I asked at the desk if it was available. I was told that Super 8 doesnt require that they carry conditioner, so they dont. It seemed really odd to be told that theyre just providing the bare minimum required. Breakfast only runs until 9 am, which seemed early. TV reception was bad. Location is reasonably convenient to both 294 and 94.
Thought it was ok until my son and I walked in to get a room for overnight and was told that a smoking room was 70$ and a non-smoking was 200 when the list said 49$. All while she tapped her nails on the desk. She didnt even check to see if they had rooms. Thanks for nothing.
Where to begin...My boyfriend and I needed a quick place to stay. We got there around check-in time and were charged for the room ($88) and a $60 deposit. Upon checking in and getting our keys, we went to our room, which hadnt even been cleaned yet. The front desk said they would get a maid on it right away and we went out to eat to let them clean. We got back an hour later and our room STILL was not cleaned. So they gave us the room next door. The toilet was leaking. We woke up at 2am to a domestic argument next door that lasted a good 30 minutes and then woke up again around 6am to the sound of mail trucks next door.I still have not received my deposit back (3 weeks later) after calling the motel numerous times as well as the Super 8 Headquarters and the BBB. Tilesh, the manager, said they were working on finding out why it was never credited back... I have yet to hear back from him.I will not be going back again.
I had to come back and warn you again! We did not even check in and this hotel charged us for 4 room, 4 days taking all our federal grant travel money! We are in totally different hotel. He processed my Non profit business card while we are visiting for TRAINING!!! Do not call Wyndham they are only partner and will not interfere for 10 business days. Talk to the feds and the local police only. They have no respect for people only your money. I am baffled that the city of Morton Grove allows them to keep doing business. (NOT WHEN I AM DONE) Bank, authorities, corporate entity, feds, and politicians are all getting letters as I get my lawyer! Again.... do not trust this location!!!! This immigrant that wants to discriminate has messed with State pillars of excellence and helpers of the less fortunate... This will not be permitted!
Five stars is not good enough I literally mean that if youre staying at a five-star hotel and youre paying $5,000 a night I want you to listen up because you have a contender. theres nothing like family touch onto a hotelperiod when a family puts love and they become a great team they can transform any hotel into the most memorable Room Place anybody can stay. I had this weird feeling that this is going to be one of those and I have to tell you that I was blown away I thought I was and everything about this place was just off the hook the bathroom the customer service the breakfast everything about this place was incredible was beautiful and I am not paying by this people because I have so many reviews I had to switch my Google account because so many people are beginning to follow me I have to do something different because Im private trust me I am one of the highest and instead of my regular rating account on Google account because I dont want people to follow me due to privacy issues but I can tell you that I have more than one million ratings on my reviews so trust me when Im out of town I am going to post it on my other account so that people see I did stay here but for now I have to use this as a cover but Im telling you account because I do want people to follow me you to privacy issues but I can tell you that I have more than 1 million readings on my reviews so trust me when Im out of town I am going to post it on my other account so getting ready for change because I really believe that this is what I was destined for the inspect hotels to give reward and credit to people who deserve itSo congratulations to this motel you have for exceeded my expectations and you are the best and I will be coming to stay here when Im in Chicago thank you so much God bless you
CAREFUL! The manager seems to care nothing about customer service if you have even the slightest issue. I accidentally booked the weekend after the one I needed, I called IMMEDIATELY and was very rudely told NO REFUNDS because I booked it online. I just wanted to change the booking not get a refund. I was not rude at all, and he HUNG UP ON ME when I tried to politely ask if there was a compromise. STAY AWAY, this operator seems to be in it for short-term profit and doesnt care about you.
The room was nice, seemed newly renovated except for some wear and tear on the bathroom and room door. The staff was not tactful. I know different ethnicities have different social definitions of politeness but the man that checked me in had none. Enjoyed my time there nonetheless.
The bed and sheet were clean and decent, but the room smelled like 100 year old cigarette smoke and rotten fruit. Was told there were no other rooms available at that time except that one. Room needs to be scrubbed from top to bottom a thousand times before anyone should sleep in there again.
For the price, this is a good hotel. The staff is reasonably friendly, and the rooms are always clean. Im a repeat customer. This hotel also has easy access to the Korean part of Niles; H -Mart Asian Grocery, King Spa (Korean Spa), and Village Creamery; a delicious ice cream shop with very exotic tropical fruit flavors that arent easy to find in the United States (like Durian, Jackfruit, and Ube).
Not very good little place.Affordable little place no doubt about that you get what you pay for. But Id think it would be something little bit better.I called and reserved 2 bedrooms over the phone and I really wanted 2 bedrooms next to each other so my kids could stay closebut when I got there the bedrooms were apart 206, 208 were after each other.I was disappointed for the service. So I asked for a switch but the lady at the front desk said theyre were no more rooms available.Rooms smelled smoky even that I was told they were not.so I could not leave the place since it was already dark.Wifi was a joke.Had strong signal strength but no conectionThe only reason Im giving it 1 star is forthe fair breakfast it had in the morning.Cheapy beds.
Clean rooms, comfortable bed. The air conditioner worked well the first night, but struggled a bit the next day. Continental breakfast was an assortment of carb options (breads, Pre made waffles, cereal options), fruit, and yogurt. Nothing hot. Overall a nice, convenient, affordable place.
Our Stay This Past Weekend Was Terrible!! I Have Stayed At Many Hotels/Motels For Vacation && This By Far Was The Worst As Far As The Staff Go. They Will Charge Your Card Hours Before You Even Check Into A Room. They Call Their Guest Liars && When You Tell Them Thank You For Something They Say Nothing One Of The Ladies Is Especially Rude As Well As The Front Desk Guy. I Would Never Recommend This Place To Anyone && Will Never Bring My Services Back. I Have Worked At A Hotel For Years Also && As An Employee That Is Not How You Treat Your Guests.
I’ve tried many times to get a room at this motel. Each time they turned me away saying they were “overbooked” with no rooms available. As I walked out, the 3rd time I tried booking a room here in person, someone else was coming in (without a booking appointment) and gave them a room after telling me they were fully booked. Totally unprofessional and completely biased. Will NEVER spend my money here. Service is slow, rude, and a waste of my time.
This place is terrible. The rooms are dirty, cramped, and bad. The wi-fi often doesnt work. The breakfast is awful and it has just cold muffins in a bag and rotten waffle batter. The people working the front desk are rude, and unhelpful. They have refused to refund me money I paid for reservations that I canceled with several days notice, and they frequently just vanish and make you wait for service. I stayed here once because I was on a budget and it was the cheapest place around, but its worth $5 to stay at the Best Western down the street. Never ever stay here.
We came in town for a wedding and this hotel was in a great location since we would be staying in town for 3 nights, close to the wedding venue and close enough to a train station for us. But Im highly disappointed in this Super 8. My boyfriend and I have been staying in Super 8s for years and always recommend it for people on a budget who dont wish to stay in a sketchy hotel. This was by far the complete opposite of what we expect when we stay at a Super 8. When we pulled up to the hotel we almost cancelled our reservation right then and there based on how well the area is kept. I wouldnt call the office staff rude per say, aloof is a better way to describe them. The room had recently been updated and it was cute, which is the only reason why Im rating this 1 stars. But it was lacking a microwave which we have always had when we stay at this hotel chain (there was even a spot for it in the entertainment center under the TV but next to the fridge), the AC was spotty, the walls are so thin I could hear our neighbor clearing his throat and laughing at 3am when I was trying to sleep. The breakfast was severely lacking - their version of continental breakfast includes prepackaged cinnamon rolls, defrosted eggos (that you have to toast using a conveyor belt style toaster that leaves them cold at the end of it), bread, beagles and if youre lucky theyll put out a couple things of yogurt and a few bananas. The pool was filled in with dirt and grass. The Wifi is spotty, which made it hard for me to do my work when I needed to and they changed the password without letting us know that was going to happen in the middle of our stay. By far the worst Super 8 weve ever been to and I would not recommend this to anyone.
I had a very horrible experience speaking on the phone with an Indian employee. He was extremely rude and did not know the proper manner of speaking to a lady. He was not helpful in the slightest and drove me away from the company. I will not be staying at a Super 8 ever again because of this horrendous experience. I suggest you deal with this situation and teach your employees how to speak to potential customers kindly and respectfully, especially if they are a lady. And I suggest to anyone looking for a motel to never go to a Super 8. I am more displeased and dissatisfied than I have ever been with a company in my life.
If there was negative stars i would do it. Front desk “lady” Lalita or whatever, Indian lady, who obviously hates her life, told us that we didn’t make a reservation though them but their JBS or whatnot system. In front of her i called their front desk and we specifically told them its a business credit card that obviously doesn’t match the reservation name, but she said they don’t take third party CCs and told me to watch my language😂😂😂, EVEN THOUGH they did accept the card on the phone with a different reservation name😂😂😂. There is a reason why its two stars, thank god it was just a sleep over. The hallways smell like cigarette smoke, and i’ve stayed at cheaper places that had significantly better customer service than this.
There was this front desk female clerk, a woman from India who was cold as ice, no greeting smile or courteous manner. The worst of all is that she lied to us. We stayed one night on the ground floor, and the next day we wanted to extend out stay for one more day, and was told there was only one room left on the second floor. Take it or leave it, even my friend is handicapped and needs a walker. We climbed up the stairs, but the cleaning maid said that that room was not ready. She called the front desk, then got us another room. That was lie #1 as what the Indian woman said theres only one room available was a lie. In the evening, we heard an alarm clock beeping. I called the front desk to check it out, and was told that that room was vacant. This is lie #2, as obviously theres more than two rooms available. I read other reviews of this Super 8 motel, and many of the customers complain about the rudeness of the front desk clerk, whoever that is. Do you think AAA could take them off the list?
Cheapest hotel I could find in the area, and I got great service. The breakfast was on par with other hotels Ive stayed at (bread, juice, cereal, yogurt) and the staff was friendly - though I only saw a couple of the employees a few times. And unlike the other reviews Ive read, nothing was stolen, the staff was pleasant, and my room was clean. There was once I drove to the Metra station at Morton Grove (about 5 minutes away), parked my car for less than $2 for the whole day, and took the train into downtown. Easy peasy.
Avoid this hotel like the plague, pulled into the hotel lot and a Indian man can out screaming at me saying ‘ you can’t park a truck and trailer here ‘ moves to the lot next door where he told me to park and I got my company truck towed. ($1100 dollars) WiFi don’t work , smells like cigarettes and Indian swamp sex. I tried to save a few dollars, wouldn’t stay here for free. 1 Stat is too many.
My fiancé and I made a reservation here after driving into town from Scottsdale, AZ. We have always traveled with our service dog and have stayed at countless hotels with her. We know the laws about service dogs and what a hotel receptionist can and cannot ask about them. Needless to say, the man at the front desk refused to let us spend the night there with her because he wanted to see a certificate that stated she was in fact a service dog. According to the ADA there are only two questions that they can ask about her and none of them involve her certificate (which was not with me at the moment). Not only that, but according to the ADA he is not legally allowed to ask for such a certificate. Despite all of that I showed the man official documentation that my leasing office recognizes my dog as a service animal, but he refused to let us stayed and told us to go somewhere where pets are accepted. We have been to countless hotels and have never been treated in such a way! I will never enter into this super 8 again and WILL BE FILING AN ADA DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE.I have read your response and want you to know that according the the ADA and department of Justice I am not obligated to carry any sort of certificate that states my disability. You should seriously look into what the actual law says. Also, I submitted a complaint to your corporate customer service office and you were supposed to have been contacted by someone from the legal department in order to clarify with you what the actual ADA regulations are. They also informed me that I am not required to carry a certificate and apologized on your behalf for you lack of knowledge and ignorance.
Stayed there for 2 nights, the first night was good the internet was okay but the next day was sucks we dont have internet the whole entire day. The manager is mean to the customers hope he gets fired. The price rate of the room is unstable its not worth it to pay $100 per night.
My friends and I were in town for the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs game. We had a group of 7 and divided up into three rooms. Upon check-in we paid and extra $10/night to have three in one room (two people stayed in each of the other two rooms). The manager on duty was very confrontational as we checked in; he said several times, threateningly, that wed be charged $100 extra if he found extra people in our rooms. Now, let me clarify: we are not a bunch of twenty-something college kids. Our group of thirty-somethings included engineers, teachers, a nurse, etc. Respectable group, right? We certainly were not treated like that. Despite the rude check in, we though, What the heck, well only be here two nights, and proceeded to check in. Big mistake. The first night, five of us went out to dinner together, while two stayed behind. The two that stayed behind thought they heard a knock on their door and opened it to find the managers wife rifling through the adjoining friends room! She stammered that there had been a noise complaint on that room, but the two folks staying there had been at dinner for over an hour! We should have packed up then and left, but we stupidly didnt. Yeah, it gets worse. The next day (Saturday), we headed downtown for the game. We had a ton of fun, went out to dinner afterwards, and arrived back at the hotel around 9 p.m. The seven of us came in together and QUIETLY headed to our rooms for bed. Within minutes, the same manager who had checked us in was calling the room of three, demanding someone come talk to him because he had seen them sneak someone in. One of the women went to talk to him and, within minutes, he was screaming at her. The rest of us down the hall could hear him yelling and one friend walked down to see what was going on. Looooong story short, the manager absolutely refused to A) Check the security footage to disprove his accusation or B) Come search all of our rooms. Instead, he insisted that we had to leave his hotel and called the police! When the police arrived, they were so sympathetic and said they had problems with this manager all the time. They helped us find another hotel and pack up our cars. Obviously, we werent loud, belligerent, etc. The police helped us load our cars and let us drive to the next hotel.Additionally, they told the manager he had to refund us for the night and was not allowed to charge us the $100 that he threatened us with. On Sunday, we all checked our credit cards and found that, instead, hed refunded two cards, but charged on for the additional night PLUS the $100. Now we are embroiled in a fraudulent credit card charge dispute.I have never been to a lower quality, less professional, crazier hotel. I would rather sleep in my car than this Super 8. The manager is certifiably insane and, on top of that, apparently lets his wife wonder the hotel and break into unattended rooms. My recommendation: stay as far as way as possible from the Super 8 in Morton Grove! Ridiculous.
Bed very uncomfortable, back ache resulted. Rate quotation for the same room on line was not what I received. Inflexible person checked me in, wouldnt give me the online rate even though I showed it to him. Paid $25 more! I also left early due to back pain from mattress. Had 3 day reservation left after one painful night!
Worst experience charged my card for nights I havent stayed there. Holding funds on my card for almost a week now. And Ive tried to get in contact with the General Manager or Owner but no one wants to get me in contact with them. One of the morning shift employees happened to be ignorant as hell when I called them about this situation.
Not only were they the rudest employees but also the rudest people. My girlfriend and i were checking in and we asked about the coffee in the lobby. Seems like a harmless question. He immediately became defensive and said theres coffee in our room and coffee in the lobby is old or empty and didnt want to make more. The room was cheap so we let it go.The second time we went we booked and payed for a room online. We got there and he asked for my girlfriends and my i.d. and the paying credit card. I gave him my i.d. and credit card and my girlfriend accidentally gave him her credit card. She asked for it back and he refused. We told him you dont need both cards, we dont want you to photocopy cards you dont need. He still refused, photocopied both cards then kicked us out after a moment of what the h*** man.Havent been back and never will.
I would give 0 stars if I could. The GM, Tom, is arrogant and a thief. They double charged my employee $750 after I already prepayed for the reservation. Instead of makeing the situation right and listening to what actually happened, he refused to take any responcibility and hung up. I have STILL not been refunded.
WATCH out!!! very dangerous place to stay, like1:25 am someone tried to break in our room, the manager did not want to see the cameras that night, he was hiding something or someone, I had to put a report to the police and as if it were little I was charged double the moment I check in, very poor customer service, even the police told me to leave immediately because of the dangerous !! also the police told me that they already had many complaints from that place that the manager made extra charges and that he was a bad person!!!do not put your family at risk please !! careful.
I stayed in Rm 219 which I thought was a very good room for the prize I paid. pillows were not as soft and comfortable as I had expected. There is one computer for common use and wifi was decent speed. If I am in the area again I would definitly stay in the motel, for around $60 bucks it is a good deal
The guy working at the front desk is super rude. He showed no efforts towards customer satisfaction. Looks like he doesnt really care since the rooms would be booked anyway regardless of his dorky behaviour but thats like the worst thing that can happen to a business.
Had a very bad experience with what seemed to be the owner of the hotel my sister was caught in the middle of a bad winter storm so I rented a room with my corporate rate and the owner denied her the stay she made up an excuse and refused stay she said the rate was way too cheap and had my sister leave the place she was very rude when I spoke to her and I will definitely not recommend this place worts customer service ever
Worst place ever disrespectful people working in front desk insulted me for asking a different room because a/c was damaged when i got the new room i forgot my headphones in the last room they did not wanted to let me in to get them please be aware this place is the worst
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE PLEASE !!!! I went in paid 93$ for my motel after it was reserved by my friend, they took my card from me for few minutes and ended up charging my friend that reserved it 93$ instead of me, ONE THING TO BE CAREFUL FROM IS THE FURNITURE THERE , EVERYTHING IS FRAGILE AND MEANT TO BE BROKEN BECAUSE THEY WANT TO CHARGE THE CUSTOMERS, I WAS PASSING BY A MIRROR AND I WENT INTO THE BATHROOM AND CLOSED THE DOOR AND THE MIRROR FELL BY ITSELF AND I WOKE UP THE NEXT DAY AFTER WE GOT OUT WITH A 300$ CHARGE FROM MY ACCOUNT AND 300$ CHARGE FOR MY FRIENDS ACCOUNT ALL FOR THAT MIRROR THAT IT WASNT EVEN OUR FAULT AND WHEN WE WENT TO TALK TO THE MANAGEMENT THEY STARTED GIVING US ATTITUDE AND GAVE US DIRTY LOOKS AND TOLD THAT THAT THERE GONNA CALL THE COPS AND TAKE OUR FINGERPRINTS AND ALL THAT EXTRA STUFF AND I DIDNT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY.... IT WASNT EVEN OUR FAULT BUT NOW I AM CONTACTING Better Business Bureau !!
Not Good- Wifi connection is horrible (works half the time)- Walls are thin (can hear the other guests beside us)- Toilet paper and soap provided is very cheap- Closet is in the washroom (makes no sense)- Room with two beds is tiny- Room is overpriced $90 a night with problems listed above- Front desk man was very rude- The front desk area smells badIn summary its a poor excuse for a hotel, its a slightly more expensive motel

2022-01-02Was your basic motel. Pricing wasnt too bad for booking on new years eve. Room wasnt bad, served its purpose for one nights stay. Front desk staff was polite & helpful. They DO offer both smoking & non smoking rooms. Deposit was only $60.

2022-06-05This was definitely a you get what you pay for experience. Its a small hotel with minimal amenities. Parking and wifi were free, but filled up quickly and ran slowly, respectively. The free breakfast was also minimal: yogurt, packaged cinnamon rolls and coffee. The beds were also not very comfortable and the management staff not particularly friendly.

2022-02-12Owner/Manager rude to the hilt. I paid through Expedia and when I arrived to the non-smoking room it smelled like cigarettes. I asked to be transferred to another room. He stated that there was not one available. I told him that if there was no choice I was okay with staying in the room but I wanted him to come to the room to witness the smell of cigarettes so I would not be blamed and charged for cleaning when I left. He refused. I told him that I would not put up with paying the smoking cleaning fee. He said that if it smelled of smoke when I left that I would certainly be charged for a cleaning fee. He agreed to refund the money and I left without staying another minute. I was never refunded the money. I contacted Wyndham corporate and disputed it on my credit card. Both entities tried to contact the owner/manager and when he answered the phone he said that the owner/manager was not available. Finally Wyndham corporate refunded the money as a courtesy.

2022-01-03Slipped and fell in the shower because the anti-slip part had eroded. I ended up bleeding a lot, I’m not sure whether Google will allow me to take a picture to show it. I told the front desk and the guy didn’t say a word, so I left. He didn’t even act like he cared. The other front desk staff were rude as well and unfriendly, did not speak when spoken to, etc. Our toilet also smelled rancid. The amenities offered though is nice for the price paid, the bed was comfortable and large. We thankfully didnt notice bed bugs but we shouldve read the other reviews before coming here.

2022-06-14The sheets were dirty. The service was excellent. The shower curtain was old and smelly. Aside from the stained sheets and rancid shower curtain, the staff was cool. If you needa cheap place to sleep for the night, go for it. P.S. the WiFi strength/signal is 🗑.

2022-06-04Room smelled like cigarettes. When I got there, there was a huge smell of Marijuana, when I alerted the staff. They brush it off. When I told them about the room smelled like cigarette smoke the lady tried to blame me and I told it wasnt me. I smoke outside in the front of the parking lot. There is a couple that follows you around. All hotels have junkies, rude staff at the front desk and is very dirty.

2022-04-19I had booked two nights over a weekend in March. My niece was in town from Alaska and our first night was fine (though you could smell residual cigarette smoke in our room). During our second day in Chicago, my car got broken into and my nieces bag (with everything in it) was stolen. All of the glass repair places were closed for the day, so we decided to drive back home. As I was checking out, I asked for a refund (in part or in whole) for the second night given our circumstances, and the manager TO THIS DAY continues to give me the run-around, saying that theyll look into it and will call me back (never happens). I know they expect to wear me down, which is working, but which is why Im on here leaving a bad review. Id expect them to compensate me in some way, if not a full refund, a partial. I do not recommend staying here.

2022-05-10Affordable. Clean rooms. The room noise insulation is not perfect, you can hear the discussions and TV in the adjacent rooms. Does not include a breakfast only a cup of yogurt and snack

2022-06-17Walked in to the clerk being asleep. Made a reservation and was told the rooms were all taken. Didn’t even bother to check if there was anything available to accommodate. Immediately went back to sleep.

2022-03-16Positive: The location and cable shows Negative: No courtesy call about breakfast. The desk staff was not too friendly. The water took a good while to get warm. The heat never got hot.
