I got the giant burrito with the barcones which is shredded beef and a side of rice great service foods delicious cost me 11 bucks and theres two meals here for sure.
Not your ordinary burrito place. Holy smokes are their burritos huge! Not to mention great tasting. Very clean restaurant (especially since its been around since BK! I used to go there back in the 80s in HS...where was i?? Oh yeah burritos. Go there. Give them the business. You wont be disappointed.
I love Steak Burrito! I recommend trying their Giant Quesadilla or Baby Burrito (a burrito you can finish in one sitting) — perfect spot for Mexican comfort food, high quality, you won’t be disappointed
I ordered a burrito and nachos from this restaurant. The burrito was okay but the nacho chips were completely stale and inedible. I ended up throwing the entire thing out. I contacted them and they told me no one else complained about them and only wanted to offer me a coupon for more nachos. I dont live in the area and have no intentions of returning so I asked for a refund for the nachos instead and they stopped responding. Would not recommend.
This place used to be super good but went downhill. The steak wasn’t good and neither were the nachos. The chips were stale and hard to eat. They also left out part of our order and claimed they didn’t ring it in even though we were charged for it.
So, I ordered the steak burrito from here the other day because it seemed like an easy win. I was not expecting it to taste the way it did...sort of like a awful bland beef stew.Not to be put off by something different, and having plenty of salsa, I attempted to eat this burrito. But, about half way through, I hit a wall of nausea. What I ignored with my taste buds, my body did not. All I can say is it was bad times.Im seeing a couple other reviews here with similar experiences. Whats going on over there?
The tacos were very good, but the rice was very dry. Overall good but I will only get tacos or burritos next time.
The food was excellent and served up fast. There were 6 of us and we couldnt believe how fast they brought our food out to us. 2 people got shrimp Burritos (they never had shrimp in a burrito before) and really enjoyed them. My wife ordered the mini veggie burrito and thought they made a mistake, it was huge. My wife and I were really happy because the rice and beans are vegetarian. Dont forget to try the elotes (Mexican corn). Its served in a cup not on the cob, so easy to eat with a spoon.
I come here at least once a week. I think I got almost everything on the menu and was never disappointed. Food is always generous, and never cold. The quality is the best in the neighborhood. They season all their meat very well and everything tastes authentic. Would highly recommend anyone who has never tried it and/or in the neighborhood to give it a shot. Thank you for your great customer service and variety.
We have been going to this place since they opened. The Chicken Chimichangas are really good and even the baby is way to big. I know its now called Steak Burrito, but it had another name prior to this. Was it Famous Burrito? My hubby says it used to be called King Burrito, I say nope.The Elotes is Delicious, most of their food is pretty good. If anyone knows what this placed used to be called, let me know.

I have been going here for a few years. It seems as if they have changed their steak. And not for the better. Still good, but not like it used to be.
Finally tried this place. I ordered a steak burrito dinner with a side of elotes. Large portion size. Hot food. Steak seemed low quality and a bit too salty for my taste. I divided the burrito in 3s and ate it over a couple of days. I would go back for the elotes, but probably wouldn’t order the steak again.
When this place originally opened it did not stand out from others in the area and it went unvisited by me for a while. I found myself stopping there for a quick bite recently and was pleasantly surprised to find how fresh and tasty the food was. On top of that, the staff was very friendly. I will be returning.

I usually like this place until I ordered my burrito with al pastor. I have never seen it served as ground meat. It tasted close to chorizo. It shouldnt be on the menu or they should explain it is ground.

Do not sleep on this place. My goodness. It was so good that I actually got mad about it because I wish I could make something this good. The fajitas are a crazy good value, filling and delicious. DO NOT JUST DRIVE BY! GO GET SOME!
I went here thinking I was going to be disappointed. I couldnt have been further from the truth. The food was excellent, the prices were fair and the portions were huge. The small burrito was the same size as normal one at other can places I would be scared to order the big one here. The rice was almost as good as my Grandmas and their guacamole was as good as mine and that is hard for me to say. I cant wait to go back.

It was ok. Food wasnt bad but wasnt anything spectacular either. Steak was a little under marinated for me. Portions are large though. The wife enjoyed the taco salad. I had a steak burrito, it was good but ive had better. . I also had the cheesecake burrito for desert. It was pretty good. Just seemed not very authentic for me.
Ive been a few times, and have loved it every time I go. I always get the steak, and its so juicy and flavorful. They provide delicious chips and 4 types of salsa when you sit down. They bring the food out to you. Its definitely a family favorite.
The staff is friendly, and the store is very clean. The burritos are good. I ordered a steak burrito. A very small plate of chips is over $2, about the same price for a whole bag at wal mart. I ordered a $2.99 chicken tamal. Which I thought was little much, but I was willing to try it. When I received it, it was very hard, some parts werent edible, and the chicken was very dry. I didnt even take a bite. My friend and wife refused to try it as well. My friend enjoyed his salad, but my wifes tripe tacos were cooked full, she asked for them to be cooked medium. Not sure if Id return to eat here.
This place is AMAZING! I ordered the enchiladas dinner and my friend ordered steak tacos. Of course we tried each others meal. The enchiladas were the best restaurant enchiladas Ive ever had (theres nothing like Itas home cooking) and the steak tacos were awesome. The steak was perfectly seasoned and it was good steak. Cooked perfectly as well. We also order elotes, chips and salsa and a side of guacamole. All on point! The staff was super friendly and the place was nice and clean. This is the place you want to eat at to fill that craving. I highly recommend this place.
This place is so delicious! I forgot to take a picture it was so good! Ive been coming here for a few years, and I am never disappointed. The staff is really great and you can tell they take pride in their business and the food they make. They changed their name but kept everything else! Its worth the drive over! Check them out!

Not sure if I hit this restaurant on a bad day since most reviews have been very positive, but I can’t give a good review. Burritos are huge, yes. I had chicken which was either boiled or baked. Lettuce tasted like the bagged stuff-not fresh. The only spice I tasted was salt. Didn’t even eat 1/4 of it. Staff behind the counter was average. Place is clean, I’ll give it that.
1st time I ordered from here. Overall pretty good an you get a lot of meat in your taco dinner. The only thing that disnt give it the full 5 stars was that the refried beans didnt really have a lot of flavor an the pastor was kinda spicy and my little one wouldnt eat it beacuse of the spiciness to it. Otherwise good price for what you get.
Surprisingly good food. I just stopped in on a whim during a work break. The steak burrito was huge. I have to admit it was a bit bland. But they give you sauces on the side. The chips and salsa were very tasty, but a small serving for free with your burrito if you dine in. Horchata was very delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Im visiting from another state and My experience with Steak Burrito was phenomenal! Not only were my family and I treated well but its clean and the food was AMAZING! It definitely filled me up. Also theyre the only place Ive been to that has cheescake burritos, which were delicious! Point is, it is a great place to eat with your family and Im really sad there is not a Steak Burrito back home.
I have to say the food is good. We usually order from this place once a week, today though was very sadden to see how they did not care about a mistake they made or accept it. I was missing a steak Gordita and I had ordered 2 plain tacos and they had everything on them. I called to let them know and the kid who answered the phone put me a long hold just to tell me that the order had been checked and the tacos were in fact plain while I’m looking at them and they are not. Long story short they did not even offered a resolution for this. I could’ve taken the tacos back to the restaurant to get the right ones and picked up my missing item but they did not even offered that. Can’t say I will be ordering from here anymore. Too bad google won’t let me post a picture of the wrong items.

Excellent food. I got a giant steak burrito with extra meat and onions, sour cream, and cilantro instead of lettuce and tomato. The steak was very very flavorful! And the burrito was really good and filling. Ill definitely be eating here more
We usually order from this restaurant quite often their food is good the steak tacos are good but it seems like after a while I don’t know who cooks the food but it seems like at certain times when we order their cheap on their meat but I would recommend this place to anyone if you like Mexican food
1sr off let me say this is the real deal. Authentic Mexican food at its finest ! My experience is that most local mexican restaurants start off cooking Authentic Mexican food. But some where down the line the change to a more ( Mexican American) flavor. Which in my estimation is less flavorful and bland tasting. Keep up the great work Amigos! Love the food and will return shortly!!!!!!😊
Food was HORRIBLE. No flavor. Steak taco meat was like eating rubber. White spots on taco shells that didnt even seem like they were cooked. Warm nasty soggy lettuce and tomatoes on taco. Second time ordering from here, first time was just as bad. Will never waste my money and order from here again.
Been there 3 times. In 3 years. Steak has NO flavor and and has the same texture as my mothers disgusting pot roast. Their quesadillas are sloppy. Very unimpressed. Wont go back
Stopped by Saturday for 1st time, had the giant Steak Burrito and was totally impressed. The taste, portion and size was well worth the price and exceeded my expectations. I personally think it’s the best burrito in the northwest burbs!

Steak Burrito has incredible Tampiqueña (better quality steak basically) tacos, Chilaquíles Con Carne (chips saturated in red sauce and cheese served with sour cream and steak pieces), Enchiladas, and Guacamole. They have a drive thru, online ordering and can be found for delivery on at least GrubHub that I know of. The staff is always friendly and I dont know if Ive ever had any mess ups to my orders. Been enjoying them for years and will continue to do so.
This is probably the worst Mexican restaurant Ive ever eaten at! My wife and I both got the steak burrito dinners. Nearly every single bite of the burrito had a large piece of fat or gristle in the steak that I had to spit out. It shouldnt even be legal to serve food this poor in quality. The quantities are huge, but this is completely irrelevant when the quality is pathetic. We had to throw away 90% of our burritos. They were completely inedible. Also, the dinners were supposed to come with rice and beans, and instead they came with poor quality sour cream and guacamole but no rice and beans at all. There was no one in the restaurant when we went in there so it wasnt that they were too busy and made a mistake due to that it.Spend just a little bit more money and do yourself a favor and go to El Tesoro on Bloomingdale Road in Glendale Heights!

Food was very salty! We ordered several items and every one of them was salty: guacamole, elotes, burritos, tacos, etc. I love salty food and for me to say the food is salty, that means its really salty! A lot of people said the same thing. So guys, EASY ON THE SALT!
Not to be mistaken for the previous Mexican restaurant that was here! Much cleaner and a bit healthier. The meats are delicious without swimming in oil.Delicious, generous portions! The beef, steak, and chorizo fillings are amazing. The nachos should be on the entrée side. Great flavor, wide selection of hot sauces, including 2 homemade ones.

I usually really like this place even though it always take them a long time to get the food ready and the speaker in the drive-through never works but to day I drove through an again speaker didnt work so I pulled around to the window I asked for a burrito bowl with no lettuce and I got a bowl of just meet. Ordered from here tonight. Ordered pozole and a small quesadilla. Quesadilla came cold(pitfall of ordering delivery) but tasted okay. The pozole was bland and poor tasting. Pozole is typically extremely rich and flavorful. This was a complete and utter let down.

Well, a beautiful July day turned into a beautiful July evening in Bloomingdale IL. We ended our day with some amazing dinner plates at Steak Burrito. As you can tell from my photos the portions are huge...just right sized for young men in their 20s n 30s who need a high calorie count to keep going. The 6 man crew has been on the road so long and had so many meals at restaurants that they have become picky and vocal about it. I can tell by the giant size and looks on their faces they are happy with this place.💃💃💃💃
Im new to the area. I do Uber Eats and get a lot of orders here. I see why they are very delicious. I got a steak sope, elotes, and a burrito cheesecake. The steak on the sope wasnt basic, but very flavorful and also huge for a sope. The elote cup was big and tasted very authentic. The burrito cheesecake was ridiculously good and tasted like a carnival treat. The staff is super friendly and this is definitely deemed my go to Mexican restaurant spot.
I dont get it.Why is this place not blowing up?The quality is perfect. Ive been to authentic mexican resturants that were not even close.The flavor was exceptional, all of it. The burritos, the salsas, the guac, the steak, the rice, the beans, the chips, the flan, everything.I hadnt sat down with my drink and chips before my order was ready, speed of service and customer service were 100% on point.Portion size for my dinner was way more than I could finish.Will be back, possibly daily.
Excellent authentic Mexican food, pretty much everything is delicious! Love the pastor tacos, rice is great, orchata, you name, it is usually always tasty!! The drive thru convenience is just an added bonus!!

Huge, huge burritos.Priced similarly to other places at $6.99, this burrito was a story and then some. Unlike others in the area, they stuffed this burrito thick. The location, a former Burger King, helped it stand out, and its drive-through made it very convenient to get my food in cold weather. The burrito felt roughly about a pound altogether, wrapped in a glutenous tortilla. What a way to give my jaw some exercise! Just be warned, you will probably have some leftover.
I take my family to this great restaurant from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to eat. I visit this spot regularly. The cooking is very tasty, the workers are friendly and the rates are good. I enjoy being in this restaurant over a good dinner.

Let me start off by asking everyone to double check their orders before they leave! Stopped by the drive thru on a friday night and they took our order wrong. The person who took our order didnt ask us what toppings we wanted on our tacos so they put lettuce, tomato, and cheese. When we pulled up I made them go over the order with me and had this fixed. We also ordered a chorizo taco and they gave us a chorizo with eggs. I cant eat eggs due to a food allergy and unfortunately I didnt notice this until we got home. I called to let them know and all I got was attitude from the girl who answered. After ten minutes of arguing she offered to have this fixed if we drove back and took down our information for next time.

Giant portions, good prices! I ordered a baby beef nachos and it filled the whole take out container!! I should have ordered extra chips. And my husband ordered the 2nd biggest burrito which was gigantic! Horchata was fresh and tasty and elotes was on point. Everything right about $20. This is where El Burrito Loco used to be. Verdict: GO (They even have a drive through)

I visited this establishment and was very disappointed. Their website claims their food is always fresh. However I ordered the Caldo de Res and it is definitely not fresh. It tastes and looks several days old. This is the 2nd time And Both times were an extreme disappointment. I will not be returning.

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Dont be fooled but its fast food appearance. While there are no waiters and you get you food in line, the food is made to order and some of the best Mexican food around.

Really tasty dishes, never disappointed. Plenty of seating, order at the counter and seat yourself.

2022-04-16We’ve been coming to this place for a long time and I don’t ever write reviews but this place is just incredibly delicious. I feel like I owe them a good review for so many great meals. Everything we tried is very tasty and the meat portions are huge, lean and flavorful. We go to different places but for us this is a go to place if we want something quick. Give them a try and you won’t be disappointed.

2022-04-29I have visited Steak Burrito restaurant quite few times. And i gotta say that taco, burrito or even a torta is always delicious as the first time i tried it. Pricing is fair for the area i could even say cheaper than competition. Well deserved 5 stars.

2022-05-25A coworker had been suggesting this place for awhile, so I finally went. I had the enchilada, because how can you go wrong? Well, the red sauce on top tasted like a tomato sauce. I got halfway through and just couldnt go on.

2022-03-29Standard Mexican food. Its good. I would grab it again but with so many options of Mexican food around here I dont think it sticks out. Only thing that was bad was the guacamole, unfortunately its premade grocery store quality. Theres some kind of mix/artificial add in, to extend the life. Not worth it. If this is because of shortages, price influx etc just dont offer this subpar guacamole at all.

2022-05-18We really enjoyed the burrito, chimichanga, ceviche and chicken salad. All tasted very fresh. Lots of avocado that they didn’t say we have to charge more for. Excellent.

2019-04-20My experience dining at this place was pleasant overall. I’d have to say the food was average. I had the steak enchiladas. The steak was average quality. I wish the plate came with a green sauce. I would say that there are better Mexican restaurants around but considering the price and the portions, it’s not a bad deal. The service staff was very welcoming.

2021-11-28This was the first time I ordered here. I ordered the steak burrito and beef burrito dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at how big the burritos were. The steak burrito was excellent and the refried beans in the dinner really good! You get a lot of food for money and I rate it as one of the best burritos in the area. The red salsa provided was the best kept secret, so good with just the right amount of heat. I will definitely be coming back!
