Would not recommend. They messed up on my drop off date, then didnt have anyone there to help me. THEY told me to leave the car there. Then demanded me to come pick it back up. Also my car started smoking while it was there and they couldnt tell me over the phone if the smoke was coming out of the exhaust or burning oil off the engine. If that doesnt tell you something right there. I went to pick it up and it was clearing leaking oil. If smoke is coming out of the exhaust its pretty obvious! I mean step back and look. Ignorant. Waste of time. Lack of communication between each other. Plus their high and mighty attitudes alone are ridiculous. Glad I got my car fixed up somewhere else.

The owner Larry is the man. I had my car tuned and it came out right where I had hoped initially. Everyone there is really cool. One guy even got me some food since it was quite a walk. 10/10 would reccomend
A while back, I set a goal for this summer.I wanted my mk3 to be a nice daily summer cruiser.No high expectation’s, just wanted my car to be able to keep up with some modern muscle cars out there. And these days Chicago streets are filled with them everywhere you look. Please don’t get me wrong I love cars muscle/import/classic doesn’t matter as long as they are nice and clean and tastefully modded. Well a 30 year old OEM mk3’s may seem fast but they are NOT. Few years ago, I purchased few parts from #SoundPerformance and I’ve heard their name around town but they never worked on any of my cars so I finally reached out. In my opinion to Best of the BEST...these guys are simply amazing, Text book Perfect. I would call them !! They make you feel at home.. it’s very hard to put in word’s, but they are just Very Professional. So helpful and knowledgeable. Providing you with outstanding customer service.. the whole team is just 10/10. Honestly !! I’m Very picky when it comes to my car’s.. that’s why I try to do as much as I possibly can with my own two hands and with help of some friends of course.. I’m like that because I had bad luck in my past with tuner shop’s and mechanic’s in general.. well without telling you guys my whole life story I can tell you this.. if you’re looking for quality service, affordable pricing and just people that are passionate about what they do #SoundPerformance is the shop for you !! Please do me a favor and learn from my mistakes give them a shot at your next project and I can promise you, won’t regret it. That’s the only shop that’s touching my mk3 :)... Amazing fabrication best tuning awesome customer service wouldnt take my supra anywhere else
Took my Infiniti G35 here after heavy recommendations from some members of Chii Racing Culture and Sound Performance did not disappoint. Reid guided me through what steps I needed to go through in order to make my car get to where I wanted it to be. I got a new clutch, adjustable camber kits, fuel pump, and some under hood aesthetics and it came out looking amazing. I have got a new car since and will be looking forward to Sound Performances turbo knowledge for all my future performance mods on my 335i.

2021-12-15I took my G37x to get retuned here after it wasnt running correctly from a different shop. Sound Performance did a amazing job. Arrived at 8:30 Walked Out at about 10:00 , Jack is a amazing tuner and took care of my car and finished the tune fairly quick. Car has been driving amazing !! Id come back for any future needs for sure !

2022-05-22I originally brought my car in May 2nd and unfortunately I had a few more things to fix before it was ready to dyno tune. Jennifer was amazing even though I had to reschedule once or twice due to my car not being ready yet. You can tell she really cares about her clients - knows them by name and always remembers you. Jack initially did my inspection and in great detail highlighted what needed to be fixed. A few weeks later I called and asked if I could get squeezed in the morning of an event, Jennifer was able to get me in at 8:30am the next morning, which is unheard of with most tune shops. I worked with Jack and he was able to bleed my coolant system, and tweak a few things no problem and tuned my car perfectly. Jack is extremely knowledgeable about VQ motors and explains information in a way that makes sense - doesn’t mind if you ask “dumb” questions. Within a few hours my car was on the road, ready to rip. Highly highly recommend this company to anyone looking to tune their vehicles or get work done. Thank you so much Sound Performance team!

2022-03-31Hands down one of the best knowledgeable shops.. went in to get parts for a is300 build and asked all the right questions to insure my build would be headache free.. the woman behind the counter was great with providing me with a accurate estimate and timeliness of when I should expect all of the parts needed...

2021-09-30Scheduled a tuning appointment for my project supra... this was a build I did myself, I thought I triple checked everything, but on the pre dyno inspection the technician found an issue that could have set me back months. He said dont worry, I can fix this he had the problem solved and the car strapped to the dyno in less than an hour. This is the high level of detail they take to make sure they can get the most out of the tune and make the engine last.Larry is the owner, he has been in the game before it was cool. He is Crazy smart and the crew he has assembled is super knowledgeable, friendly and just cool to be around. Jen is his manager, dont let the fact that she is a woman make you think she is not knowledgeable about the services they offer or what they sell... she knows what she is talking about!As far as build quality and fabrication skills go, I have found no one within a thousand miles that can do what these guys do. I have seen in person the detail they put into their builds... its mind blowing! They have tons of inventory... if its A full turbo kit, or just some fittings or connectors, they have it. If they dont have it... they will make it! So if you are on the fence about where to take you project or who will tune your car... Pay them a visit and see for yourself.This is no lie... People have sent their cars from across the globe to SP to have builds done. Not many shops can say that.

2022-05-23I went here because they have been tinting windows for so long. I dont get much time off work, but my back window has some hair under it as well as 10-12 bubbles that havent come out. My side windows were also cut too short at the bottom so Im assuming in about a couple of years since every time I roll them down it will be abrasive to the bottom and eventually peel it off.Oh anything for you if when I take him back he gets fixed

2022-02-06They were very short with me . She didnt seem very interested in discussing my build . After asking a few questions the lady there just said it will be $15 or $20 thousand dollars . It was almost like people call there all day long asking stupid questions and she was sick of it . This is just my view of my phone call . This doesnt necessarilyrepresent the companies business dealings and reputation . They have proven to the community to be an awesome company and business with an excellent reputation . So my two stars should not be considered a representation of their business . Just my one phone call .

2021-08-12This is hands down the best tuning shop in the Midwest. I have never been treated with the hospitality that SP provided me. Every single person in the building was nice accommodating, helpful, and overall pleasant.Came in with a car that ran OK but fouled spark plugs, left with a car that makes over 600hp.If you want to make big power youd be silly to go anywhere else.THANKS AGAIN SOUND ILL BE BACK FOR MORE SOME DAY!-Kyle
