9/17/2022 Once again Evan knocked it out of the ballpark. He found furniture for my sons first apartment and guided us throughout the whole process. He makes buying furniture so easy. Evan has the knowledge, experience and personality that is outstanding. I automatically ask for him when I go into Slumberland because I know he will get the job done!!2/2021. The purchasing experience was amazing because Evan made it happen and everything fell into place. I did a big purchase—dining room and living room. I told Evan what I liked and what I didn’t like and he found exactly what I wanted. What at first I thought would be a daunting experience turned into a fabulous experience and was made easy because of Evan’s knowledge and experience. What a major accomplishment today! Now to wait for the pieces to all come in. Thank you Evan!

Dont buy from slumberland. I try to avoid negotive reviews but not this time.We needed a bedroom set and stopped our choice on this store. We came there ordered set (bed dresser, two night stands)and paid full price on November 2020. They said they have only bed and it will be delivered in month and other part in about couple weeks. Anyway we were determined to start new year with a brand new bedroom set. As you can guess we still havent received it. Dresser delivered in mid April and night stands they said PROBABLY not earlier than in end of June they dont know exactly. i think they buying from China online and have troubles with delivery or something like that. I was calling em every month and every month they were moving delivery date. I cannot find a normal explanation for this. I was working as furniture main technologist designer and manager for 8years and never got my customers so upset.
Evan has been amazing to work with. During the pandemic, with so much out of his control, he kept me in the loop to know where my orders stood. He called to tell me my order was in, and everything he had to do to get my financing to work again, before he called me. I didn’t have to do anything except go back in and sign and set up a delivery date. He is always a pleasure to work with. Thanks for everything you do, Evan!
We had a very good experience at the Champaign slumberland store. Our salesman Tim was very professional and knowledgeable. He was responsive to our needs. The atmosphere was relaxed and there was no pressure to buy. The store has a wide selection to suit any taste. The price was right and we did purchase a set for our family room. Very happy over all and will work with Tim again in the future. Thank you to Tim Rice.
Extremely happy with the service. We found a great chair for us. Our sales person worked hard to help us. Unfortunately we have to wait for it, but that is due to Covid and the resulting supply chain problems. Good thing it is made in America! Because it is a power chair with mechanical and electric components we got the full delivery with set up and testing(it is heavy). We got that for half of normal price plus an extra 10% off, so that paid for it! This is the 3rd chair we have purchased at this store since 2017. Oh, BTW 12 months same as cash too!

Was thrilled to walk into showroom, salesman greeting me listened and ask pertinent questions to better help me. Found a recliner in a color that looked great with my couch pillow! With Labor Day sale going on, the recliner was in my budget too. Thanks Bobby for your assistance! Looking forward to my purchase arriving in a couple of weeks!
My experience to shop for a new sofa at Slumberland in Champaign, IL. was great. My husband and I were greeted as soon as we entered the store. The salesman Evan Roberts let us look around the show room and when we decided on a few sofas I went to him and ask him if he could check on a previously purchased recliners color to match the new sofa. We had purchased the recliner 3 yrs ago and so he easily found the color code in the computer. So we found the match that we were looking for and was able to purchase it right away. He also explained about the warranty and set us up for the delivery. The sofa will be delivered to us on Tuesday and I cant wait to have it in my home to be able to enjoy for a long time to come.
My fiancé and i had a very positive, proffesional, and respectful experience! I am very grateful for our Sales Consultant, Mr. Condie Holt.He made our purchase a very comfortable, and enjoyable experience. He was kind, considerate and educated on/quick to entirely answer any questions and curiosities we had, with ease. His consistent service through our multiple visits was well appreciated, and we will continue to shop and purchase our furniture through his efforts and professionalism.
We were looking to upgrade to a sectional. Wanted something easy to clean for pets and future kiddos. We ended up splurging and getting the Triton in the top grain leather. Andy Paris was who we worked with during both of our trips. He was phenomenal. We not only loved the sectional, but after visiting more stores in the area, we went back MOSTLY because of our experience with working with Andy. The sectional was just a bonus! He was extremely knowledgeable about every single sectional we were interested in, was up front on shipping times, and explained everything in depth. If you venture to slumberland, not only do they have great deals (we went during Labor Day weekend) find Andy on the floor. He was absolutely fantastic!
Shopping with Slumberland was an absolutely wonderful experience! Tim was a huge help when I came in to see different pieces they had to offer and he helped me find the perfect sofa for my space. I found an item at a great price and setting up delivery was a breeze! The men who delivered my couch were professional, courteous, and friendly (and wore their masks properly, thank you!!). I was worried buying a sofa in a global pandemic, but the team at Slumberland beyond met my expectations. Excellent shopping experience from start to finish and I love my new sofa!
My visit to Slumberland today 3/13/21 was a wonderful experience! My Salesperson was nice & friendly! We were not approach by anyone when we walked in! My daughter went to front desk to get help. Evan Roberts was our sale person. I came in with a budget, but after he showed me the temper pedic I fell in love with the mattress. He also gave me a good deal! I bought the more expensive one. Evan did a terrific job!
I was greeted shortly after I walked into the store by Evan. He was friendly and welcoming and listened to what I had come to look for. He took the time to provide me information about how the pandemic was affecting manufacturing and in turn delays in delivery. I assured him this was not a concern for me and we had a good conversation about the products and things I needed to consider regarding fabric choices, etc. Evan was very helpful and I never felt as if I was under pressure to purchase anything. I really enjoyed my experience and look forward to the delivery of my new furniture.

We used the Champaign IL Slumberland and everybody was so friendly. Andy P. was the salesman that helped us and he was extremely informative and helpful, and he also gave us room to breathe while we were making our decision. We will gladly go back, and will ask for Andy if he’s there when we need something!
We have been looking for a sectional for our living room and patio furniture. We were pleased to find both at Slumberland. The people were friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. We ended up asking for the display model of the patio set because of the long wait time. They graciously agreed so we will have patio furniture to enjoy this summer. We only have to pay the delivery fee once even though it will require 2 trips. Overall great experience.
We worked with Bobby. He was the best! He let me shop around and he checked in with me sporadically to answer questions and explain the features and choices. I was pleased with the number of fabric choices for the furniture I was looking at. Bobby applied no pressure at all. We purchased several pieces of furniture which we felt were exactly what we wanted at prices that were very reasonable. He was able to explain all the terms and additions we needed to know about, and was able to process our order very quickly and efficiently. I shopped online before heading to the store to look for a dining set. It was great to see a wide selection of furniture that is on trend and comfortable. My salesperson, Ryan, was low pressure and helpful in showing me what I was looking for. Although the furniture will be out of stock for quite awhile due to Covid, I’m okay with that because I feel the dining set I chose is well made and worth the value I paid during the current sale.
Champaign Slumberland has friendly service that followed through with some hardware issues. I was able to resolve the issues myself and was offered a discount/services for my trouble. They are fair and genuinely want you to have a good experience and earn your business.

This place is great!! The customer service exceeded my expectations!! Way better than Ashley’s! I walked into slumberland and was greeted, and asked if I am looking for anything in particular. I was even able to walk around the store in peace without being bothered or anything by salesmen. It was super pleasant to be able to absorb everything this store has to offer first before making any conversation about products I may need. The salesmen were also readily available if I had any questions though! I was here for 3 hours (I needed a lot of furniture) and it was a great 3 hours. Tim is by far the best salesmen I’ve ever experienced! He really took genuine interest in helping me find the perfect furniture I needed for my new home. I was looking for furniture for weeks (elsewhere), and I was being so indecisive about what I wanted but here, I was actually able to make an executive decision on what I wanted! Tim also didn’t try to talk me into getting anything I don’t like, or don’t need, and instead helped me find the pieces I actually want and love! That man knows furniture!! I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to spend 2 grand before!I will forever tell people to shop here for furniture!
This is the second time weve come to Slumberland for furniture shopping. The first time, in 2014, we purchased a sectional sofa, kitchen table, and coffee & end table set. We still have all of the items and arent replacing the sofa now in 2021 due to wear, but simply because we have a larger room and space for a larger sofa. Their furniture is quality stuff that holds up. Bobby was really great! He never made me feel any of my questions or requests were stupid or unreasonable... even though I had several. He was helpful and not overly pushy. He allowed us the space to make it a comfortable and stress free shopping experience.
A couple weeks ago my mom and I walked in and the sales floor associates were sitting on the couches with their feet up on a coffee table. They all scattered when we started walking around the little path on the floor near them, then finally the lady came up to my mom and I.....she didnt didnt talk to me, it was obvious she has no interest in trying to help me find something. Instead of asking me questions also, she didnt even really acknowledge me..she only spoke to my mom and barely looked at me when I put in an opinion of a color of a table to my mom. (little did she know I would be the one wanting to buy something, and my mom was just looking). when my mom started talking about what she was looking for the lady told her to look online when my mom decided maybe she might want to buy something, it completely turned my mom back to only looking.....and said there were tables all around the store that she could check online to see if they were in stock and order it there She didnt take any time in trying to show us different things or ask about a budget or really anything. I was absolutely shocked, because this is never how it used to be. From the second we walked it it was very apparent that everyone just wanted us to order online and they were not interested in trying to help us find something. It really sucks, because my dad and mom have purchased most of their furniture from slumberland in Champaign...and I really want to find something, but I dont know if Ill go back. Its weird when you walk in somewhere and feel like your potentially easy sale is a burden to the sales associates.
Bobby, a salesman at Slumberland in Champaign, was extremely helpful. Very easy-going and no pressure. He answered all my questions quickly and set up a layaway plan for my furniture. I have called him a few times and he is always friendly and remembers the details of my purchases. Good experience w him!
I never leave negative reviews, but my experience with Slumberland has been bad enough to warrant it. I bought a new bed there a few weeks ago. The sales representative was nothing but rude to me-- rolling his eyes at my questions, refusing to answer some questions at all, interrupting me mid-sentence to talk to a coworker or answer the phone, giving me mis-information on warrantees and delivery options... But because I had I really great discount, I went against my instinct and purchased my new bed from this store. When I called back with questions on my delivery after not receiving any delivery information for over two weeks, I had a representative immediately speak sarcastically on the phone to me about how they dont give delivery estimates anymore (despite the sales representative telling me Id receive information on the delivery at least 24 hours in advance) before hanging up the phone on me before I could get any additional information. After spending hundreds of dollars at their store on a new bed, I feel as though I was just another sale to this team and no one seems to care about if/when/how I will receive the items I purchased. Ive had nothing but bad customer service and wouldnt recommend this store to anyone.
We were very happy with our experience shopping for a new dining set, We went back in to pay on it and found an end table and they were very helpful and added it to our original purchase from July. Now everything will be delivered together as soon as the chairs come in.
Our salesman, Evan, was extremely patient and helpful while we were trying to make a decision. He took time to answer all Of our questions and made suggestions to suit our needs. Overall a very good experience so far. Now we are looking forward to the delivery of our new furniture.
Slumberland offers many choices of materials and how a chair reclines. They have a sale now. Bobby was very helpful finding pieces that matched in the same or similar look. We purchased two chairs and a couch. Well have to wait 3 months for delivery, thats ok with us. Options for fixing problems with your purchase if needed if you purchased a 5 year plan. Thank you for a good experience. We will be back.
I’m leaving this review for my mom, who had a wonderful experience at Slumberland this week. She said she was assisted by an absolutely stellar employee and got a great deal on a couch that she’s very excited for. I’ll probably be visiting soon too, based on how highly she praised the store and the person who helped her.
I had a very easy and smooth buying experience. I have purchased furniture here in the past and it has always been great! I worked with Chad and he was wonderful! This is the most unprofessional and poorly managed company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I understand that things dont always go as planned but it will be 6 months before I have my order, and not ONCE did Slumberland bother to communicate anything to me. Once they get you to spend your money, dont ever expect to hear from them again. They dont care about thier customer, they have made that very clear. I would implore you to shop for your next furniture purchase at literally any of the other stores in Champaign, Slumberland is truly the bottom of the barrel. My experience below:I ordered a bedroom set on December 4th, 2020. It is now April 10th, 2021 and I still dont have the headboard or bedframe. I was originally told beginning of February. That came and went, no contact from Slumberland so I called and were told it was moved to beginning of March. Came and went, silence from Slumberland so I called again. Now it was end of March for the headboard but the dresser and nightstands were in and they would allow me to pick them up myself (I paid for delivery) if I really wanted them before the rest of my order came in. I expressed my frustration about the thier inability to fulfill my order and thier complete lack of customer service and communication. Johnathan very rudely told me that he would let me cancel my order without penalty even through that shouldnt be allowed. I picked up what order of mine was available and requested someone please call me if my order was delayed further. I just called this morning, as my end of March delivery date had, yet again, came and went with absolutely no word from Slumberland. I was told my order is now out to beginning of May, at best. I, again, requested to be notified. I would also like to add that the first two times I called, the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and hung up on me on accident. When I called back, she went out of her way to tell me it was my fault the call disconnected (I didnt even bring it up, she just yelled it at me.) Ill be sure to update this review if/when I ever receive my remaining items.For reference, I purchased a couch from Furniture Row a month after my purchase from Slumberland. My order was delivered within 2 weeks (sooner then they originally told me) and they kept me informed with phone calls throughout the entire process. Skip Slumberland all together, youll be thankful you did.
This was my first time buying furniture from Slumberland and I was beyond impressed. Everything I bought was very well priced and Tim answered all my questions in depth and was extremely helpful! Im very pleased with my purchase and experience and will definitely go back in the future

The experience I had with the Champaign Slumberland store was fantastic. I explained exactly what I wanted to purchase and the sales representative very professionally showed options to me from high to lower cost product solutions. He was not pushy or high pressured but factual and honest. I believe I got the best “bang for the buck” with this purchase. The furniture is attractive and of solid construction.Delivery of the furniture was also tremendous. The right amount of follow up was provided by the store manager and delivery team for scheduling. Delivery was on time, with two well equipped and trained delivery professionals. They took care not to harm the interior walls of the house and also moved other pieces of furniture for me. They made sure the area they worked in was clean before leaving as well.I am very happy with the purchase and delivery experience I had at Slumberland and will recommend this store to others. We had a fantastic experience shopping for a mattress! Andy was amazing!!! So knowledgeable and honest/real. Appreciated his patience with all of our questions and he went above and beyond explaining things. Didn’t feel pushed or like he had to convince of us anything. Tim has been awesome throughout my new sofa purchase. I started looking in Nov of 2019, and had been in several times before the Covid-19 stay home order went into effect. He made it very easy, was never pushy, answered all my questions, and over all just very personable. Chad, also was very helpful over phone when I was panicking that the sofa I was ready to purchase was no longer listed on the website. He not only was able to figure out which one it was by my description only, but confirmed that it was still available to purchase in store. Thank you both!

I have purchased from this store many times, both personally and professionally, and I have been very impressed with every encounter.Personally, I have always been treated with respect, professionalism, exceptional communication and follow-up. The delivery drivers have always been polite and considerate when moving new furniture in and when removing items.Professionally, Slumberland is very philanthropic in our community. Working for a nonprofit, we are often in the position to ask for support from our community businesses and every time I have inquired with a need, Slumberland has helped. I just recently phoned the owner of the company to let him know how much we appreciate the support and how often I spread the word to shop at Slumberland. My wife and I were in the market for a new mattress and couch. We decided to give this place a shot, and we were not disappointed. The prices were reasonable, and their financing plans are very handy. Our salesperson was Andy, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. He did upsell us on a protective mattess cover, but he explained why we would need it. In addition, he didnt just try to upsell us on the protection plan without explaining what it does and does not cover. Overall, it was a great experience!
Update:The owner personally reached out to me to resolve the issue, no furniture as of yet, but he is a very kind man who seems to genuinely care for his customers. My rating will go up as my situation is handled. He gets 5 stars 😉😁 , the suppliers 1star..covid crisis zero stars..😄Im a very patient person, but Im growing very impatient with this company.. But as I read some of the reviews, my experience with several delays seems to be a common complaint.Ive had minimal outreach from the company- one call right after I ordered to tell me 12 weeks, and a text after one of the dates came and went to say it would be longer.. .and worst, the person i have spoken to both times after the delays (i called after 2 dates were told and passed), they were curt and unsympathetic. As if they must delay ppl over and over and we the customers are the irrational ones they have tohandle.. If you give a person a day and pass those dates 2xs after gladly accepting MY money...um..im not the issue...My purchase is 7 weeks past the supposed 12 weeks timeline with no new date to (falsely) hope for delivery at all..not a word from them.. i dont even want to call to have to deal with the same cold curt person Ive already talked to twice...I am never ordering from any slumberland ever again. ..Why should I give my money to a place that treats me so indifferently. Hey owner, you need someone different to talk with your customers. That person has definitely made a bad experience a horrible experience. They may as well say we dont give a blank and hang up on us because that is the message loud and clear.
Fantastic customer experience from the very beginning. Andy was extremely helpful without being overbearing. The store policies were all very reasonable and customer-centric. The clearance depot was excellent too. I will definitely be coming back regularly to see what is on sale.
We purchased a sofa in October, then returned last week, (mid-Nov) to order some dining room chairs. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Good discounts were given, on top of sale item discounts (for veterans). Items arrived when promised and pick up was a snap. And, unlike some other stores, they put the chairs together at no extra cost. The guys loading up took great care with the chairs and my vehicle (appreciate that very much!!).Really appreciate the staff recommendations (Conde, Evan, and Ryan) for a better quality at great prices. I dont know how they could do any better. First experience with Slumberland Furniture. Store was very clean and had a large selection. Judy Yanan was the sales consultant who helped us. She was around when we needed her but gave us time to look around at our own pace. Exactly the way a shopping experience should be. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the furniture and could answer any questions we had. We will definitely go back for another purchase.
Ordered living room furniture from Slumberland in Champaign today. Andy Paris was our sales consultant. A great experience, no pressure. Andy was knowledgeable and so nice. He was able to answer all our questions. We told him what we were looking for and he showed us exactly what we needed! I ordered a couch on August 8 and was told It says it will take 8-10 weeks before its in the warehouse. But it probably will only take 6. I was also told I would be kept up to date along the entire process so I know the status of my order. After 8 weeks I started calling, because I had yet to hear a single thing about my order. Here we are at 13 weeks and I still dont have a couch because I keep getting told the company its coming from is unreliable on their timeframes and the people I speak to at the store dont seem to care about finding out an actual timeframe of when I will get my furniture either. Very frustrating process and I wish I could go back 13 weeks and go literally anywhere else to purchase furniture.Edit: 18 weeks and still no idea if or when I will get my order (so frustrating to hear) so I ended up canceling the order. I was able to go elsewhere and buy a couch and have it delivered within a week. Now that’s good service.
We have shopped at Slumberland a few times in the past. I called to make an appointment and asked If there was a better time for myself and my wife (who is pregnant) that we should come in. They said they would let us in 30min early before anyone else came to the store. We were able to come in, purchase what we needed and were out the door before people showed up for their appointments. Great customer service, very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Excellent experience all around. My husband and I arrived an hour before the store closed to browse at sofa sleepers. Tim, the salesman, was exceptionally helpful and showed us so many different versions helping us narrow down the selection. We purchased a beautiful sofa sleeper and left just after store closing. We were never rushed and felt very welcomed. The couch was delivered a few days later! WOW!
Chad helped me choose the furniture i needed. He tried his best getting the right color combination that i particularly asked. He patiently waited for me and my friend as we make decisions with my color scheme. I felt like a VIP during shopping because there’s only me and my friend and another group of shoppers inside the showroom. The showroom is well maintained and clean.
Overall great experience shopping for and ultimately purchasing a new mattress. Evan was extremely helpful and completely honest about his advice and more importantly have his reasoning behind his recommendations based on his knowledge of the products as well as personal experience. Very disappointed that my birthday coupon of only 25 off didn’t apply to anything. Then right before purchasing, find out it may take up to 4 weeks. Customer service was very pleasant but I feel would have been simple kindness to give a discount in spite of these inconveniences. Only didn’t walk out because I really want the item. Nice furniture but I I’ll make future purchases elsewhere.
If youre looking for a place with solidly made furniture and good customer service, do not shop here!I ordered a table set, dresser and sofa in mid June. All pieces were to be delivered by end of July at the latest, first week of August at the complete max.The table was to come in 1-2 weeks. The first table set was in the warehouse without me being notified it was ready to be delivered. The first table came damaged into my home. The second table was ready to be delivered and it was found damaged in the warehouse. The third table set was finally delivered Aug 6 without any damage.The dresser was to delivered in 4-6 weeks. The first dresser came on Sept 23 with five out of six drawers damaged/scratched. One drawer did not close properly and one was broken in the back. The second dresser came on Nov 5 without any damage after it was in the warehouse for sometime as well.The sofa was to be delivered in 6-8 weeks. It kept getting pushed back for delivery without any reason. The sofa was finally delivered on Oct 9. During the process of bringing the sofa in (with the legs on mind you), my newly painted wall was damaged in addition to a doorframe with multiple scratches.Throughout this five month process, I was the one calling for updates. Andy, my salesperson, called me maybe two/three times. I finally got in contact with a manager in August. John, the manager, blamed a new computer system, the lumber mill, and Ashley Furniture for the delays. Paul, the owner, got involved in September. I was told, sometimes orders fall through the cracks.I only received apologies once the money was put on hold. I was given excuse after excuse while I did all the effort in communicating with the store. If you want a company that looks after your furniture, treats your business properly, and updates you on shipping changes, shop somewhere else.Dont waste your time or money here. I would not recommend this store to anyone I know.
Evan was very helpful and even though we were looking at to separate sectionals he was open and honest with us regarding our choice. He recommended a less expensive option due to the fabric on one sectional not being as good as the other and completely respected his input. Will definitely return for future purchases.
This company is very frustrating to work with and I would give 0 stars if I could. I am understanding of Covid related delays. However, my furniture order has been delayed multiple times, each time without notification. The staff acts as if you are a burden if you call to check the status of your order, only to find out it has been pushed back another two weeks or month every time you call. The lack of communication and customer service will keep me from future purchases here.
I had a very positive experience at the Champaign location. The store associate, Tyler, was very helpful and patient, staying long after store hours to ensure that I would receive the furniture that I need in a timely fashion. Kindness and patience goes a very long way. I will be visiting again!
Our sales consultant, Pete was genuine and listened to what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable about his products. He gave us several options, he was patient throughout the process of selecting a new sofa, lamps, and end tables. We were very specific to our likes and dislikes and Pete kept helping us find a satisfactory solution to what we were shooing for, and it was in our budget.
During all 3 of my visits to Slumberland Furniture in the same week i was greeted by great customer service and a somewhat quiet and very comfortable environment. i was happy with the prices and i felt that I received the best quality i could have compared to other furniture stores, and i will always laugh at the fake spills they put on some of the tables. Overall probably the best furniture store i know of.
We have ordered several items over the last several years from Slumberland. We stopped looking at other furniture stores because we always end up back at Slumberlands. Its good quality furniture & they are always having sales. Love the selection of furniture & the staff is great!
Ive purchased from here on multiple occassions but I think Ill be finding a different furniture store. I liked the selection but the staff often disregarded me as a real customer (I look very young, but have spent thousands of dollars here) and so they often dont bother to explain features or show me items. Delivery was a nightmare and a half from damaged goods, to mud tracked on my carpet, even improperly assembled furniture! It has since been resolved but honestly it never should have happened in the first place, and even the resolution felt passive aggressive. I purchased insurance on all of my items and have yet to use it only because Im afraid of having to deal with them again.
I visited Slumberland a few weeks ago looking at Tempurpedic beds and was greeted by Tim. You can tell he is an expert and I immediately felt comfortable with him. My wife and I finally made the decision and met with Tim who went through all of our options and even though it was getting close to closing time, he did not rush us. I don’t buy too much in retail stores anymore because of the poor customer service but Tim is obviously someone who takes his job very seriously and made me feel really good he was our sales person
I called to find out the availability of living room furniture.. I was lucky enough to speak to Stacy Sherwood! She was polite and understood what my idea was for decor.. being disabled, it is important to have the kindness and compassion of some like Stacy.. Evan has always been friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. He is always responsive and that is why we continue to return. He has helped us with furniture purchases now for multiple rooms. We ordered a couch on August 23rd. They told us it would be in October first week. Then they call and say mid October. Then they say end of October. Not a single call except the initial phone call have they made to us about the status of our order. When we call no one can find it and it takes 15min for someone to tell me where it is in the process. They told me it would be in one distribution center last week and when I call today its not even there!! Now it won’t come until November 18th they think?!?! Cmon, this is TERRIBLE customer service. I have never been so upset and lied to so many times about an order. If something changes - call your customer and explained it!! I understand there is a pandemic, but be HONEST with your customers before they spend money about how long it will even take to arrive. Never coming back if this is how the take care of those who buy from them. Such a shame we had a great experience in store but since then nothing but disappointment.Update: Came torn
Tim was very helpful and accommodating to help us make a selection for a couple of tables we purchased. We went in not wanting anyone to talk to us (you know the feeling.. I just want to walk around and be left alone) but his approach and demeanor changed my mind and it turned out he was tremendously helpful. They have such a great selection.
I love the sales people at this store. They are so professional and kind. The owner, Paul is totally a gem. I have never met a manager as professional, kind, unbiased, etc as Paul. I had a problem with the finance company because of an error and he never hesitated to take care of it. I had to call him a second time, oh by the way, he allowed me to call him on his cell phone. As my father would say, you cant beat that with an egg beater. He didnt give any indication that I was bugging him. In fact, he told me if he can assist me in the future I can contact him. We had been looking for a new couch/sectional. Being indecisive people, my wife and I looked everywhere in town. Slumberland had a good selection and the salesman, Chad Hensley was particularly helpful. He was not the pushy sales type and was very relatable, professional and easy to work with. Chad was awesome! Planned on looking at a specific sofa, spoke with him over text, let him know my game plan. When I went in, he greeted me upon arrival, took me to the sofa I was interested in right away. I ended up hating it; so based on my wants and needs, he showed me some other options and I found one I absolutely loved! Got a great deal on that one too! And got my delivery a week faster than we originally thought! Even gave me some all around pointers on my Fantasy Football lineup for the week! All around great experience!
Evan was a great help today! We walked in with 2 children looking for a mattress and frame. Evan didn’t try to sell us in the biggest and best and waste our time. He took us straight to their best selling mattress and throughly explained why it was the best mattress for our money. We were in and out with our purchase in no time! With kids that’s a huge plus! Evan was very knowledgeable, efficient, and offered great customer service.
Evan is my salesman/point of contact. Intially, I sat down on the 1st couch chair and loveseat that intrested me and it was the color that I was looking for. Also not to mention, they were all on sale for lower prices. This made me excited and Evan was very upfront/direct, honest and friendly. I literally made the deposit that day. Everything else went smoothly except for a hiccup on my part, but they have been nothing but nice. They have good customer service and they are responsive. So when it came time for a delivery day, I had to wait a few weeks but it was well worth it. I was given a timeframe of 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and they came at 8:25 a.m.. I was thrilled with that; they were super nice--It was 2 younger gentleman. They were quick and efficient, and very nice. Overall I have to say that I am very satisfied with Slumberland Furniture (Champaign, Illinois).
Had a good experience with the salesman named Andy. He was patient and knowledgeable, and had good follow up after our purchases. The delivery men were prompt and professional. Im withholding my 5th star until I see how they handle claims made on the expensive warranty they sold me on my recent furniture purchase though. :D
My wife and I have been looking for a sectional for quite awhile. She stopped at a Slumberland in Champaign back in March and said we need to go back and look. Today we stopped and looked. While looking, Evan stopped to talk with us about what we were looking for. After a few minutes, we had narrowed down our choices and started picking out fabric for the sectional and pillows. Evan was very knowledgeable about the products we were interested in. He helped us create a sectional that would work for the space we have available. He made our first purchase at a Slumberland an enjoyable one.
Some of the sales people are kinda pushy, and have no problem telling you they are on commission. Almost as if you dont buy anything from them you are wasting their time. They have nice stuff, and we like everything we have purchased there over the years. Have not had any problems returning damaged items and getting replacements. But those sales people! Weve had one or two that are great, but the rest seem very pushy.
Andy was very knowledgeable and help lay out all our bedding options. He also explained the difference with the numerous bed choices today that has changed from the traditional innerspring with box spring option. I also would like to that him for his patients as I changed my order several times surrounding bed frame vs power base options.
WE went to buy new mattresses. The salesperson who helped us, Tim Rice, was excellent---very carefully showed us all the options and encouraged us to lie on all the different beds. There was no pressure to buy the best/most expensive, just what was right for us. We were very satisfied.
I purchased some furniture from Slumberland, and I love the quality of the furniture, the quick delivery, the friendly and very helpful customer service we received in the store, it will not be my last time buying from they, I only wish I had purchased my bed from them as well. Normally we hate shopping for big ticket items because of the sales people. This was defintely not the case with Andy Paris at Slumberland. We went in looking for a mattress. He was very knowledgeable and we didnt feel any pressure to buy. He understood our concerns and helped us find what was best for us in our price range. He definitely knows his stuff when it comes to mattresses and we will go back when we need any other furniture. This was a very positive experience.
This was our first visit to this store since we are new to the area. We received excellent service from the moment we entered the building. The sales team was welcoming but not invasive. When we were ready they were there to answer all of our questions and gave us the very best deal possible. We will definitely be return customers.
Went in to look for a certain type of couch and almost immediately got approached by Chad Hensley. He showed me the first couch that fit my needs and instantly gave me numbers and quotes! I thought about it for a few days and decided to go back and purchase said couch, also an ottoman to go with it. I again delt with Chad and was again amazed by the service. He explained the prices once more and talked me into getting the protection plan (which is good for me in the end). All in all, the service I received was amazing. Will definitely be going back again!

We left LAZY BOY today due to the worse service I have ever experienced in retail. I was sorely disappointed because I wanted my new living room furniture to be Lazy Boy. We left Brian to go stand in his corner and took our first venture into Slumber Land. Pete greeted us immediately and did not pre judge us for asking about the New Year Sales nor the color of our skin. Much to my delight they sell Lazy Boy and we purchased our recliner and will be purchasing the matching sofa next month. Pete was very knowledgeable as well as personable. Have bought furniture from Slumberland multiple times, two sofas and both were poor quality, breaking down within 3 years. Dont buy the furniture protection, its a scam.1/24/2019 contacted by Paul from Slumberland to work on resolving the issues, we have discussed the furniture protection plan, and he is willing to make it right. Fix/ replace, give store credit. Much appreciated. Will update post with resolution of situation.
My fiancé and I went here to look for a new mattress. I have chronic back pain, so this was a very important (and turns out, emotional) decision for me. Ryan helped us over the course of a few days. He was very patient, helpful, and honest with us. I feel like we’re definitely made the right choice to come here.
My initial experience, when purchasing my new mattress and bedroom furniture with adjustable base was great. Fast forward 3 1/2 years......my husband feels like he is sleeping in a hole. I go into the Champaign, IL store and talk to the sales clerk, who sold me the mattress. I told him what was going on and he looked like a deer with headlight s in his eyes. He gave me the 800 number for the service center. I called the number and was told I could take pictures or pay $35.00 for a trained technician. I paid the $35.00 and a very nice tech came out and took the measurements and pictures. He agreed it was a defective mattress. He sent his report to the company before he left the house. One week passes and I had heard nothing. I called and was told they needed additional information from the technician. Couple phone calls later I was told the hole was not deep enough yet, to call back when it got worse. We are gone four months a year so of the 3 1/2 years we have only slept on the mattress 70% of the year. It is a memory foam mattress Made by Sealy. I am giving them two stars because the sales clerk initially did a good job and the technician did a good job. To bad they do not do a good job backing up their warranties. My husband is now seeing a chiropractor while we wait for the mattress to get worse.Update 5/17/2018As promised, Paul went above and beyond to make sure our mattress was replaced. They delivered our new mattress today. The salesman that helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have now revised my rating to five stars. Paul is an owner who cares and makes sure his customers have a good experience.
Chad Hensley does very well at his job. I bought my first temper pedic and didn’t know there were so many options. Chad was very knowledgeable about all of the beds and how the temper pedic is designed. I bought the temper cool design and can not wait to try it out. I would highly recommend you go see Chad at Slumberland!
The warranty that we purchased through Slumberland will not be honored by the warranty company. We then followed up with Slumberland. The manager at the Champaign, Illinois store was working from home during the COVID-19 crisis. He informed me over and over again that he was stressed out due to at the crisis has caused for Slumberland. He informed me, “you are the last thing I’m am going to listen to today.” He then told me he could help me but was not going to if I ever said I would not shop at Slumberland again. Upon being yelled at for him being stressed, I hung up and called and emailed corporate office, they never responded in any form. Please, if you purchase furniture from Slumberland (which I would advise not too) dont ever pay for the 5 year warranty because it does not cover anything and they will not honor it.

2021-06-24I had a wonderful experience and help picking out my furniture for my new house. The salesman was so nice and has worked for the company for years! They were having a holiday sale and the store was very busy but he made time to speak to everyone and ensure all questions were answered. He was very efficient with checkout and helped explain the process and their warranty package for furniture very well that if feel confident if there was an issue that needed to be taken care of he would help me. Will absolutely be back for more items needed for my home!

One establishment we walked in was very stern with my grandchildren telling them they needed to stay with the family - as we walked in the door. We decided not to spend money there. Slumberland gave us a top notch experience.

2022-06-05I have a horrible experience with Slumberland. I went to the store to order items in stock. It still took 2 weeks time which I was aware of. When the items came in, every item except just one had defects , damaged items and missing parts as well. To my surprise, Slumberland doesnt take care of those. They provided an option to replace the items, but nobody knows how long thatll take. When you have almost all the items defective, I guess nobody can trust the store. At least that happens with me. I no longer want to see anything from Slumberland. Now they are telling me they will charge me $150 to pick up the damaged items for return. Thats unreasonable to me. But I selected that out of no other choice, they cant pick it up before 2 weeks. I am stuck with huge boxes form Slumberland full of damaged items for 2 weeks. Probably I am having a very rare bad experience and nobody from Slumberland will take responsibility for this, I am just sharing this so somebody like me can be aware of this.
