Had an issue with our washing machine. I contacted Sky & they got back to me the same day (weekend), & then they came out and repaired the washer the very next day they were open. Very friendly & personable, and the price was extremely reasonable. Thank you so much! Highly recommended!
I purchased a stove and refrigerator from Sky Appliance. I found exactly what I was looking for. They were delivered and installed quickly and efficiently. A few weeks later, my refrigerator did not seem cold. I called Sky and they set up an appointment to come out. Lonnie was amazing! By the time the appointment came the fridge was working again. Lonnie checked it out and explained everything. He didnt even charge me for looking at it. I would absolutely purchase appliances from them again and I will recommend them to everyone I know. Sold our home and the day of moving, out of the blue, our washing machine stopped working. In a panic & desperate to have the washing machine repaired before new owners moved in, I called Sky Appliance 20 minutes before they closed. The owner of Sky, who had personal plans at 5pm, set aside his plans and rushed to our home & repaired the washing machine. My wife & I can not express enough gratitude. For any appliance issues in the future, we will always call Sky Appliance first. Thank you for such terrific service! Highly recommended! A+++
I love that place. I was a first time buyer and Lonnie and his Cheyenne gave me a very good price for a stove and refrigerator. I also had problems trying to hook up my stove and i gave lonnie a call about it and he came to check it out even in the bad weather. Im buying a washer and dryer next. Thank you for all your help
I’m not one to just jump into a large purchase. After researching all appliance centers in the local area, Sky Appliance had the most reasonable deals. Not only were the prices reasonable for dryers new and used, but they also had the best price for delivery and installation. I called around 2:30, & by 5, I had my new dryer in and the old one removed! Lonnie was very accommodating and personable with my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Sky Appliance and look forward to using Sky Appliance in the future. Thanks again!
DON’T BUY FROM HERE.The guy told us a certain price on the fridge and stove. When we drove all the way to Bloomington to pick them up we found out the the stove didn’t work and the fridge was gone. I understand merchandise moves quickly. So we looked at another fridge. The guy said it was this price we agreed we looked it over and ended up buying the fridge and broken stove. We get the fridge home after driving an hour and a half. And there is no freezer basket just the drawer. The guy told us to call him if anything was wrong with it and they’d fix it. He also told us we had a 90 day warranty. This morning our fridge quits cooling and I call the Springfield office only to be cussed out by the owner Lonny and then continues to text me about how it’s my fault and doesn’t stop texting. Cussing at people is not helping. So if could help you in anyway don’t buy from this guy. He’s a crook. A liar and all around a rude man.
I bought a used gas dryer from them. They delivered it, installed it and took our old broken dryer. The same day it was delivered i noticed it was not drying the clothes, so i called them (afterhours) and they came and fixed it within the hour. They were so nice and fast! I would recommend them!
I dealt with Sky Appliance after needing an odd-sized refrigerator for my office breakroom. The owner located one for me with a partner of his in Decatur, and coordinated so that we were able to pick up the appliance the next day. We discovered an unknown (minor) issue and Sky took care of ordering parts and making the repair without costing anything to us. Appreciate the good customer service and fair price on a good used appliance. Thank You!
Absolutely terrible customer service. Paid for a washer they installed it im sure they took the old one to fix it to sell to some other unfortunate person. Less than a month later the new washer broke. They told me it was out of warranty but i could pay to get it fixed.i said okay. IVE BEEN WITHOUT A WASHER FOR A MONTH waiting for them to fix my washer. Do not spend money here!
Sky appliance is the best ! I am a newly separated single mom my washer was broken not only did Lonnie come tell me what was wrong with my washer . He also was very nice ,kind ,respectful and very honest man . They took my broke washer and sold me a nice one for a great price . Sky appliance are heroes in my eyes and god bless you,!
We bought a Kenmore washer and dryer from Skye Appliance on 9/25/18 and the washer recently quit working. Zac, the repairman, was efficient and knowledgeable and fixed the washer at a very affordable price. We were very impressed. When our old washer was conking out, we looked at new ones, but they were extremely expensive. So far, this has been the way to go. I would recommend Skye Appliance to a friend.
What a joke for any business. Purchased a washer and dryer in December. Called to set up a service call, since all my clothes are coming out burnt. 26 minutes after the appointment time, I get a text telling me the tech overslept, how professional. An hour after set time, she shows up, tears everything apart and tells me nothing is wrong. So I called the store, Lonnie Williams the owner answers. Yells at me, because the tech has kids, and her moms has something wrong with her kidneys. While I sympathize with any situation, my problem still is unresolved. Oh the owner if suggested that I was a smoker thats why my clothes stink, no sir Im not. The laughing in the background as you yelled at me shows your lack of professionalism. Save your money and go anywhere else.
My washing machine starting making a loud thumping noise and wasnt getting up to full speed during the spin cycle. From my research online it looked like the spider arm had gone out and I called Sky for an estimate on a repair. The owner consulted with his tech and called me back with a repair quote. What I appreciated is his honesty when about the quote being more than a new washer would cost right now during the holiday sales at Lowes. I plan on taking his advice, but will also keep that in mind if i need a repair on any other appliance in the future
This is my second visit to this appliance store. The first time I got a washer and dryer that has ran perfectly for over a year. I just purchased a refrigerator for an awesome price and Im getting it delivered Monday. I highly recommend this business and welcome here again should I need another Appliance.
I have been recieving calls for months from people looking for Zach, an appliance repairman. Today, the lady who called me explained that she got my number from Sky Appliance and gave me their number. So, I called Sky Appliance to see if they were giving out the wrong number, or if people were misdialing (this option seems unlikely as I get 2 to 3 calls a week). I was immediately met with hostility and screaming by the man who answered the phone. He cursed and yelled and hung up on me before sending me a text furthering his assault. If this is the business owner, then shame on you for your HORRIBLE communication skills, if this was an employee, then hopefully he will be released of his duties so that he no longer has the opportunity to treat people this way while representing this business.
The refrigerator in my house that I rent died. My landlord usually deal with Dick Van Dyke but they werent going to be able to come out until the next day and they couldnt even tell me a ballpark time. Well all of my frozen food was already done for so that wasnt going to work! My landlord called around and couldnt get anyone out the same day until he called Lonnie at Sky Appliance. Which I was really happy about because we bought our washer and dryer there and they have worked out great. Lonnie came out right away and immediately knew it was the compressor. He knew we needed a new fridge and he talked with my landlord. Within 30 minutes we had another fridge and I could not be happier with how everything went. Dillon and Stevie were amazing! Thabks so mich guys!
I called them on May 25,2019 . They send a the guy who wasted my time and took most of the refrigerator ‘s part out then he informed me that they need to order a part . He went and come back after a while again and he said after wasting my time about hour and half that the piece doesn’t work . He needs to order new one . They are not professional at all . Regardless the food which I throw it in the garbage. He did mess in my kitchen getting all the pieces out then now we are in July - 15 -2019 . I called after almost month and half to check what happened in that order . The same guy informed me that the lost my phone number . Until today my refrigerator is broken and I will call some one else . I called the manger in Springfield who promise me to fix it but nothing happen until now. I dont recommend anyone to waste their time with this unprofessional company and store.
Great service and was quick!! Called 3 places to fix my washer. They called me back first was professional when they came out and had the part needed on the truck to fix my washer,,, my sister was there and end up buying a set from Lonnie and the guys and seen the same set $200 more at Brst buy...thanks Lonnie and Sky !!!
Doesnt even deserve 1 star. Bought a dryer that was broke. It ran maybe 10 min before it shuts off. For over a week Ive been trying to get a tech out to fix it. They say they are coming but hasnt showed yet even though we have been home all evening. They refuse to refund us and also refuse to provide service while I am left with a broken dryer and spending money to get my clothes washed at the laundry mat. If I can get proper service and either a refund or to fix my dryer, I would consider editing this.
Ive known the owner of this business for the last 25 years. Hes not just a good businessman, but hes also Fair, and a good person tries to do the best he can for everybody does he do it perfectly of course not no one ever will, but its not because he doesnt try hes a good man. He has earned my business for the rest of my life, and I would recommend the same for any person that I know.
One star is a gift. Got a fridge delivered and had the doors switched. For an extra $20. Took them 2 hrs and had to use my tools. Now the doors wont stay closed temp is 50 all food spoiled. Called the owner (who wont allow u to speak) told me to duct tape it closed. Wow! Please run for your life....
Sky Appliance is the place to go if you find your washer, dryer, or stove goes on you. If you are strapped for cash, the deal is here. It aint new, but it is refurbished. It comes with a warranty. No credit problems in your way. They deliver and at your request, will haul away your old appliance. Price is way below new.
Very unprofessional. I bought a washer from there in Feb and it has broken twice already and its only June. When I call them they send me to voicemail or say they are on vacation. I keep having to come out of pocket for repairs on top of paying over $200 for the washer. I wouldnt recommend anyone to them. Waste of money. Trust me. Not worth it.
Called and was taken care of right away...they delivered, un hooked, hooked up and hauled away my old stove/new stole with no problems..very nice guys and very fast service...they even got rid of a dead mouse that was Under the old stove for me becuz I hate mice!!!!!!! Lol..will use them again...
Bought a stove said everything on the work properly but the two back burners were not working called and notified someone at the store they but me off for weeks and when a repair man did come out here said the stove was already like that and who ever sold it new that because the repair man showed me he initiated the stove on the back of it then the sales men tried to charge more money for another stove so now I have a stove from sky appliance with only two working burners for a family 8
I only updated this review because zack did come and fix the dryer hes a nice guy did a good job.but still wont do business with the owner of sky appliances because he yelled at me and couldnt get a word in edge wise.at first I didnt suspect of being scammed but after that phone call with the owner it made me think I got a scammed.zack the guy who fixed my dryer was a nice guy and did a good job.and even though I wont do business with sky appliances I will call zack if needed to

2022-05-19My icemaker was not getting water to it to make ice, but there was water in the door. I called Sky Appliance and set up a time for Thursday for Lonnie to come out. He text me a series of questions I answered. He ordered the part that we thought was wrong with it. He came out, found out there was something completely different wrong. Fix the issue got my ice making. He also showed me how to fix the problem so I wouldn’t have to call him back. He was professional and I will certainly recommend him to anyone that needs appliance help.

2022-06-07They even steal from the elderly. They dont care who they rip off. They lie period. MACHINE LASTED LITTLE OVER THREE MONTHS. The transmission went out. They wont honor their so called 30 day warranty. Machine was bad from day one. They refused to come look at it. When I had it repaired elsewhere, full of mold, crud and dimes. even the manual inside the machine was full of black mold. THEY KEEP IT DIMLY LIT FOR A REASON..

2021-12-02Called to inquire if they would pickup our older washer and dryer as I had purchased new appliances and needed the old ones gone. I was thrilled to find out they were willing to schedule a pickup and haul away! Not only were they easy and polite to talk to, but they scheduled my pickup for the very next day! The two drivers who showed up the next day were very kind and extremely efficient at their job. I figured it would be a bit tougher for them as I live in a townhouse on the second floor but they had no complaints and were done in 10 minutes! Later I received a text showing me a photo of our dryer and all the built up lent inside. They explained how they thought our vent must be blocked somewhere and that I was lucky I hadn’t been using the unit recently as it could have been dangerous. I am so thankful for them to have helped me out in removing my old units, but then to go above and beyond to help me and keep me safe! Thank you to the whole staff, I know where to turn if I need any help!

2022-03-02Unprofessional. Initial washer did not work. Replacement is leaking. Owner is extremely unprofessional. I did keep my receipts and threatened the arbitration which is the only reason I was refunded the difference if the exchange. Do not recommend.

2022-03-05Within the last three weeks we have been through THREE DRYERS with this store -- and all of them were mistakes! The first dryer they sent over was electric, we had CLEARLY asked for a gas dryer, so that to be taken back. The second dryer came and it was gas -- wouldnt turn on at all and we found the belt sheered right in half. And the THIRD DRYER technically works but it literally took us 48 hours to dry only four loads of clothes. When we asked to have this one taken away the guy from the shop just began SCREAMING AT US! He refused to listen to even our names. He just started screaming. We put a stop payment on the dryer we bought and this place is absolutely not to be trusted!
