Settled on 2 pairs of shoes I wanted. Neither had my size available. Disappointing.
Didnt make a purchase, but they have a decent selection of shoes, just not what I was looking for. I needed a female basketball ball show for my daughter. They suggested I look in the childrens or mens section to check the sister sizes.
Only issue I have is its a 60/40 chance of having a DC I like in a 12 lol other than that great selection of everything else and a very nice and helpful crew

Went in to return a pair of heels that I no longer needed. I was assisted immediately BUT the vile excuse of a store manager decided to SNAP his fingers at one of his cashiers to complete the refund for me. I never in my life have understood the superiority complex some people have. There’s never a reason to snap on someone’s face, especially in front of customers the way this manager did. The faces on the other employees were very obvious they were uncomfortable with this mans presence. I don’t condone employee abuse from managers. Will no longer use this store.
I wanted to order shoes online but everything I wanted said Joliet didnt have in stock, so I drove there instead. I went to the store and everything was definitely in stock.

I have had very good experiences buying shoes here. Earlier this year I purchased comfortable shoes for walking, but one of the shoes started to develop a hole in it after only a couple of months. When I took the shoes back, they let me trade them in for another pair of shoes at no extra cost, even though it was a little past the 60-day cutoff for returning them!
Great prices lure you in only to be hit with higher prices on the shoes you really love. It pays to use the flyer coupons, reward points and spin the wheel. With all that said I still like coming here because the staff is very helpful and you find hidden gems (cute shoes on clearance especially for kids).
The store is very clean and neatly organized. All the sale items were easily found. The employees were awesome! They were very helpful, friendly, and courteous. I shopped two days in a row and had a pleasant experience each time.
I was terribly disappointed! I did not know they no longer had buy one get one half price because of covid. I paid way too much for my purchase, next time I will definitely go somewhere else! It was only because of my wife why I went through with the purchase.
Extremely neat and clean, did not get the BOGO half off that I was hoping to receive. Otherwise all was well.

Very bad organized store. Theres no separation for kids, toddlers youths and adults. They handle its own sizes. You can look for a size 10 kid and dont find it but find 1.5m size and on the side size 12 but not say if kid or youth or adult jus size 12. And on the other side find a size 12 adult shoe.Definitely payless stores used to have better organization on their shelfs and sections

I was just in there this morning May 15th 2018 and the Male manager was to busy following me to see what I was doing which was looking for a comfortable shoe and size, you think he would ask if I needed help but nope! very rude, the cashier, she was not friendly as well. Other than that this place has great deals for hard working people who are looking to spend their money wisely.

This store has a large selection of shoes and even more to choose from online. I bought 4 pairs in the store and two pairs online since they were not available in the store. The buy one get one half off usually ends up being back good deal. Iwould have given the store 5 stars but I had to look for a size for nearly 10 minutes and never saw an employee but when I went to the counter to pay there were 3 employees talking. The store was not very busy so I thought at least one of them could have been helping customers on the floor. I will go back again though.
Cute shoes and I ended up finding gym shoes for both my girls ( work shoes for one and tennis shoes for sports for the other)but took a lot of work due to the limited quantity of shoes they stock for each style
We had excellent service. They helped us locate shoes for our kids and ourselves. We spent 138 dollars on four pairs of shoes that we were very pleased with. We felt as if we found great bargains with great service.
Horrible !!! Shouldve made people wear they mask vaccinated or not!!! It was a lady in there coughing so bad and was not wearing a mask you could hear the covid all in her literally
I would give it 5 stars, however they do have some size 14 footwear..however it is very very limited. Otherwise store was pretty clean and staff was friendly.
This store would have gotten more stars if the rude employee was not working. My boyfriend wears a size 15 and we were shopping when an employee asked if we needed help. He said he was trying to find shoes in his size. She asked if he looked for his size. We BOTH sarcastically said “at every box”(we really did look at every box). He then said “I’ve found two shoes in my size and I already own them, I wish they would have other options in my size” she said “we can order them online”. He politely mentioned that it would be nice to have them to try on. She then began to say “why would we order shoes in a size that is not going to sell”. I am not sure if she was just hating her job and trying to get customers out, But it came off very rude. When we went to checkout, they had to call her to the front because there was a line, that took her about another 2 years (probably about 4 min), but she was not doing anything but snailing around the store prior. The other employees were great and the store is very clean and in order!
So, I used to love shoe carnival. When we arrived, you can see plenty of stock right away. Made me happy. Then looked for womens shoes but only 2 isles found??? And they were along the left wall and then discount dress shoes at the back. Seems the rest of the store was mens, kids and mainly athletic shoes. Disappointing that so few womens shoes were available and even then, no one in the right size...had to go elsewhere.
To me its the best place to get my shoes they seem to always have my style yes are they comfortable I got my new ones on Tuesday does the black ones back up
Lack of customer service here. I had to walk over the manager who couldnt even acknowledge I was there.
I came in while back to school sale was going on....no help on the floor....couldnt find correct sizes....long line..so I left. Desperate for shoes, I returned a day or two later. I asked if there was someone to help and DELORES came to help me. She was extremely respectful and the best help. She was patient when making sure I could find something and went above and beyond!! She is an amazing asset to this store and should be highly commended for her work!! So thankful for her!! I will be back again only because of the job well done by your employee Delores!!
Shoe carnival people were so helpful and polite. I went in for 2 pair of different sandals that were in the sale paper. Being my first visit there i needed help to find the shoes. Employees were very helpful. They helped me find the exactly what I wanted and i was in and out in about 8 minutes. Buy 1 get 1 half off great and a 5 dollar coupon to boot. 5 or more stars. I can always find shoes for the whole family here. BOGO1/2off saves us a good bit of money. At least once a year we all go up together and leave with 2 pairs each. I dislike that they have no public bathrooms. The staff is always helpful and cheery.

The associate who was working the register when I went to return a pair of shoes I purchased the day before was rude, her tone when she spoke to me made it seem like she couldnt be bothered with my needs. Her body language was aggressive. She insisted I didnt know how to insert my bank card into the chip reader and treated me like I was stupid. She threw my receipt and a pen on the counter and told me to sign this

They need to turn the music down near the register. Theres a plexiglass shield ,were all wearing masks and the speaker is directly over the register area causing a real miscommunication issue.

I recently purchased shoes here as I usually try to do since its always buy 1 get 1 1/2 off well when I just recently went they didnt have this promotion so I had to pay full price only to find out 2 days later they have it again buy 1 get 1 1/2 off and when I contacted customer service they wouldnt give me the difference so now Im going to never purchase shoes again from this store since they cant honor their promotion.

2022-06-03I arrived shortly after 8pm on Thursday evening June 2, 2022 I found several items that I was interested in so I immediately asked for help..bad idea! Clearly he wasn’t in the mood to assist customers. Nevertheless my husband & I proceeded to the register to complete our transaction & was greeted with a “hello” from Ms. Sunny. I immediately told her that out of about four of her colleagues on the sales floor she was the only one that actually spoke. Ms. Sunny asked if we had a phone number or email address for rewards I said no & the young lady quickly said “you can get coupon”. The nerve of her! If she was the manager she should’ve apologize for the experience I had at her store. It’s very concerning that the employees didn‘t even have the common courtesy to speak to guests & help when needed. First & last time shopping at this location. FIVE STARS FOR MS. SUNNY!!!!!! Thank you for providing great service & I’m sure another company would love to have her apart of their team!

2022-05-31They ordered the special size shoe I needed and it was delivered to my house a few days later. Not often you can go back a year later and get the same product (I liked this particular tennis shoe for work) at these stores.

2022-06-24Customer service is always so good here that Ive become a loyal customer of a shoe store relatively late in life.Today, my son desperately wanted a specific type of shoe. He found the exact shoe at Shoe Carnival and, after trying them on, realized his size wasnt available. He didnt want to wait to have it shipped, and the website thought it was in stock at this store.Both an employee and manager checked for it, without me needing to ask for that, in case it had been overlooked or mis-shelved. They agreed it wasnt there, and looked up the nearest stores with it in stock. That was good, but what was great was that they didnt want me heading out to another site where that size might be missing. I said I could call there. The manager instead said hed call so that he could be sure they checked it was really there and put it on hold for me for a few days.The Joliet store employees dont tally a sale for that work, but they create customer loyalty for both this location and the chain. I sure hope theres a way to track that kind of customer service so corporate knows that the Joliet Shoe Carnival is doing something very right at a time when it must be hard to retain good employees like these.

2022-06-25The shoes are expensive. They have no womans wide sizes. None!! The staff was unknowledgeable. When I asked the only employee I could find about the wide sizes he had to call the manager on his walkie talkie. How could the employee not know that? Am I the only person in the world looking for wide shoes?

2021-11-27This store is very expensive for kids shoes. Its the only local place that has the required uniform shoes for my sons school. It sometimes has good coupons, but with all the exclusions, theyre hard to use.The store was clean and the employees were helpful.

2020-06-09I’m a very picky person so when I go to the store I don’t let store associates help me. So when I go inside I look around I never really like their shoes but I be loving all the boots! So they are definitely My number 1 boot stop! I wish the sold a few more fancy(expensive) boots and shoe but if your on a budget get in there ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
