A lesser known but wonderful tour. The stories about Sarah and Hiram are interesting but most special is to stand on the foundation where the sisters were inspired to start a sewing society that would become the Relief Society.

One of my wifes favorite places to visit in Old Nauvoo. The story of Sarah Granger Kimball is incredible and very powerful when you hear it in her original living room. The building has been restored to what it looked like in the mid 1800s. It is surrounded by lush corn fields in the summer and in the winter you can clearly see the Mississippi River near by.

One of the oldest homes in Nauvoo and very nicely maintained and explained. Sarah Granger Kimball was a problem - solving, innovative, creative and giving woman. A piece of her story is told by wonderful volunteers.
