Salvatores is a great place to have a wedding reception. The food is extraordinarily good and the interior has a warm natural home like feel to it. Lauren keeps everything on track like a well-oiled machine. They only had one valet working that night and he was super-fast at getting and parking cars .. not sure how he did it? Salvatores is a hidden gem on the north side of Chicago and you can smell their delicious food being prepared a mile away 😊Ray – The Connexion Band
Recently our family had a memorial service for a dear relative. There were over 100 people at Salvatores for our event. We could not have chosen a better venue in the entire city. Marco, the person with whom we dealt, was excellent in every way. He was very professional, helpful, sensitive to our needs, and extremely accommodating. The entire staff and Marco were hospitable the day of the event. I highly recommend this venue for any gathering where hospitality and delicious food and drink, all in a beautiful setting, are involved. Valet parking is another asset.
In a word: magical. We had the perfect wedding at Salvatores! Suzi and Lauran are dedicated professionals who were a pleasure to work with. Gorgeous venue, delicious food, and a beautiful evening. We had a modest budget but were impressed with how inclusive Salvatores is and with options for Fri-Sun weddings, it made it easy to have the wedding we wanted at a price we could afford. This place is truly a hidden gem!Food was delicious and impressed my big Italian family. (The tasting was almost as much fun as the wedding!) Decor inside had that Old Hollywood glamour that I was looking for. (I especially love the checkered floor, gilded mirrors, and string-lit patio!)I highly recommend Salvatores for your wedding or next major event.
My wife and I recently got married at Salvatores and (I know Im biased, but) it was was the best wedding Ive ever been to. People kept commenting on how beautiful the space was, the food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were all so kind and helpful.Back when we were first searching for a venue, Salvatores was the clear choice. The moment we walked in, we fell in love with the ambiance. Marco was so helpful and professional throughout the process and went out of his way to make sure we had the wedding we dreamed of.If I could give a sixth star, I would. Tens across the board. Anyone looking for a venue with personality and class shouldnt pass Salvatores by.
Where do I begin? As a busy Real Estate professional, I just didnt have the time or energy to try to plan my wedding step by step. I wanted to find a high quality venue where I could have the ceremony, reception and quality service all in one place. Salvatores did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in the gorgeous space, I knew it was the one! I describe its beauty as vintage glamour. The manager, Marco, is absolutely amazing to work with and is very responsive and patient. He answered all of my questions and put me at ease for the big day.Once the wedding day arrived, I worried about nothing. They coordinated perfectly with my flower and cake vendor and everything went off without a hitch. My guests are still bragging about the ambiance, the amazing food and the open bar lol! Service was impeccable and they let us know about each step in advance and we just went with the flow. My handsome husband and I are so happy we went with this Chicago staple and will definitely be using their great services again in the near future. Thank you Salvatores, with love, from Mr. & Mrs. Meredith!
We had our wedding reception at Salvatores and could not have asked for a better wedding day! The Venue was effortlessly elegant. The décor is classic and beautiful without needing to go too crazy on flowers. The food is amazing and our guests still rave about the tiramisu they had for dessert. The dance floor is huge and was large enough for a live band.Equally as important as the wedding day, the planning process at Salvatores was stress free. Because Salvatores is a full service venue, you do not need to separately book a caterer and tables/chairs, etc. We worked directly with Marco and Sherife throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond to keep us updated on the latest Covid protocols. There were no surprise fees - all of the expected costs were outlined very well in the contract and we were able to stay on budget. We did not have a wedding coordinator. On the day of our wedding, Marco, Sherife, and the Salvatores staff worked incredibly well with all our vendors. They made sure the evening went perfect!Thank you so much, Marco and Sherife!
Such an amazing and beautiful venue! Salvatore’s has amazing customer service and the ambiance is impeccable! Great food, service, and bar. Marco, Renata, and the owner Sharifa are just wonderful! Very helpful and very accommodating to make your wedding special and memorable! We had an amazing time. I can’t wait to book future events with them!
The venue is so beautiful, intimate and classic. The staff too are so helpful that beyond our expectations. We were debating if we wanted the day of coordinator, and we didnt get one in the end, but the wedding turned out perfectly with Marco and Renatas professional and responsive coordination and assistances. We feel lucky that we picked the great venue and very thankful to all the staff.
Memorial Service - Salvatores was the best place for my family to honor my classy, sophisticated sister. She wanted a party in her honor and it could not have been better. Marco was truly a gift to me as we planned the event for a Saturday late morning/early afternoon. He listened to our desires, offered suggestions and the event was a great success. The passed hors doeuvres were delicious as were the mini-bites. Marco would checkin occasionally to see if everything was as we wanted.I will certainly keep Salvatores in mind for future events. 100 plus people attended.
June 5, 2021 Wedding Reception. Beautiful, memorable place for wedding reception! Impressive architecture, amazing patio garden, and variety of rooms for cocktails, dining and dancing --made it elegant and intimate, even though it seemed like over a hundred guests. We thought everything was perfect and so did everyone we dined and talked with. Dinner, Desserts, Service, Valet Parking - all excellent.
We had our wedding reception at Salvatores on 6/5/21. We had the best time! Throughout the planning process, Marco the GM was super responsive and helpful in answering our questions and requests. He is a pro! Our wedding tasting was fun - for our dishes, we chose penne with vodka sauce, tortellini, and chicken vesuvio - plus the tiramisu for dessert, yum! Our guests are raving about the delicious food, the great food/drink service, and how much they loved the venue. Salvatores has timeless charm and plenty of space for our 100 guests. It was an awesome value and with all the food and drink served in-house, it streamlined the planning process significantly. We would highly recommend Salvatores to any couple looking for their perfect wedding venue. 10 out of 10!
I cannot even begin to sing Salvatores praises as loud as they deserve. They were so incredible and easy to work with from the start. They would answer all of my calls and actually cared about my wants and needs. The space is so beautiful with both inside and outside options and the staff and owner are so wonderful. The guests kept commenting on how good the food was and overall I couldn’t have asked for a better venue!!
Suzi and Lauren were great to work with for our wedding and coordinated all of our vendors once we told them who we were working with. They may go a little quiet, but they’re definitely working in the background. If you need something, just email and ask. If you want to meet again, just email and ask. Very accommodating and we were surprised at just how great everything was considering they were priced more competitively than other venues in the area. Highly recommend! Have had multiple guests reach out to us since to tell us how much they enjoyed our wedding. Thanks to Salvatore’s and the team there for making it happen!
We cannot recommend this venue and team enough! In short, this is the best value for a beautiful venue, IMPECCABLE service, and amazing food.We were able to plan our entire wedding start to finish in under 6 months thanks to Salvatores. This historic venue is absolutely gorgeous and the service from their team was amazing. Suzi and Lauran made the entire planning process unbelievably easy and the day of was seamless and perfect. We knew planning a wedding in less than 6 months and without a planner was going to be crazy, but it really wasnt with Salvatores. They are seasoned veterans in the wedding world with so much great advice to help you create the best day. And they are also totally open to accommodating whatever your vision is. On top of the amazing service and beautiful venue, the food was incredible and the value is unbeatable in Chicago, especially Lincoln Park. Do yourself a favor and book here. My husband and I actually got to enjoy our wedding day because every single detail was managed perfectly by the Salvatores team. They created a perfect day for us and our guests. We cant thank them enough!
When me and my husband got engaged in September 2019, we had our hearts set to wed in the same city that we met. With an important date set on September 13, 2020, we reserved our venue with Salvatores. From the first meeting, we already knew that this is the place for us to celebrate our nuptials with our family. The pricing was reasonable and a hidden gem in a city that can become quite unaffordable when it comes to city weddings. The COVID-19 hit, and everyone, including my family and vendors, scrambled to adapt with the ever changing rules to keep everyone safe while still enjoying the wedding. I cannot begin to say how grateful I am for this venue and their dedicated team in ensuring that this wedding go off without a hitch. They adapted and were flexible with the changes, and priced everything reasonably despite the insanity of planning a 2020 COVID-19 wedding. They managed to make this wedding a memorable one, defined more than the restrictions of the pandemic. Thank you so much for indulging and helping us make our wedding as amazing as we experienced it.
The staff were amazing and tended to all of our needs.the ambiance of the whole restaurant gets minds imagining what it was like in the 20s and 30s.Food very good, I didnt have any drinks but all said good. They brought us coffee to enjoy with our decadent tiramasu, coffevtasted a bit old and cream was not 1/2 and 1/2. It was coffee mate. A great cup of coffee should be fresh pit for dinner guests who will partake. Small pitchers with real cream or 1/2 and 1/2 will be greatly appreciated as our party will have 90 plus so I hope they splurge. All in all a wonderful dining experience.
Our decision to choose Salvatore’s as our wedding location was the best decision we have made ( aside from saying “I do!” of course). From beginning to end, Lauran and Suzi were very helpful in the planning process. They took the time to field our emails, phone calls and in person meetings to ensure we felt comfortable. On the day of they were instrumental in making sure the day went smoothly. In addition to the amazing staff, Salvatore’s itself was a dream venue. After doing extensive research it because clear for the value they were providing, the price was unbeatable. We received amazing reviews from our guests who raved about the food and there was never a line to get the bar. I cannot imagine a better place to get married and I highly recommend to any couple looking in Chicago!
Would highly recommend! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Salvatore’s and had such a great experience. The venue comes with two wedding planners that help answer all of your questions (and we asked a lot!). They were very patient and knowledgeable during the whole planning process, thank you Suzi and Lauran! Our guests could not stop raving about the food, I kid you not, numerous people said it was “the best food they’ve ever had a wedding”. The filet and tortellini were crowd favorites for sure. Also received a lot of compliments on the staff, who went above and beyond during dinner and great bartenders as well. Luckily, we had nice weather so many people got to utilize the nice patio space out back. Overall, this was an amazing venue with professional staff and service.
My husband and I LOVED having our wedding reception at Salvatores! Suzi and Lauran are the absolute best. We had some last minute changes come up and they were so responsive and accommodating. We felt 100% certain that everything would run smoothly in their hands. Also, their vendor recommendations were spot-on. Our guests loved Salvatores, too, and couldnt stop raving about the food (which is incredible - you have to do the tiramisu!), how beautiful the space is, and how seamlessly the whole evening went. We would recommend Salvatores to everyone!
My husband and I had a wedding at Salvatore’s this summer. We highly recommend this venue! Suzi and Lauran were an absolute pleasure to work with - very responsive, patient, organized and helpful. They made the entire planning process easy for us. The venue itself is elegant, romantic and very spacious. There is an option to have dinner and dancing in separate rooms, which we loved as some of our guests could have a conversation while others had fun on the dance floor. There is also a gorgeous patio which is ideal for pictures. The food was absolutely delicious - we chose salmon, steak, chicken and pasta. Each entree was prepared perfectly. We got a lot of compliments on the food. Also, Salvatore’s tiramisu is out of this world! It was a perfect choice for us! Thank you, Suzi and Lauran, for an amazing experience!
Picking Salvatore’s as our wedding reception venue was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process, and we couldn’t be happier that we did! Suzi and Lauran were amazing to work with! They had great communication and were always very responsive in any questions we had along the way leading up to the big day. They had great recommendations which helped in making decisions. We felt so comfortable knowing they were on top of everything and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Salvatore’s is absolutely beautiful, and had the romantic, intimate, and elegant look and feel that we wanted. We wanted to get married in Chicago, but loved how Salvatore’s is on a quiet, tree-lined street in Lincoln Park. The staff was outstanding on the day of, and the service was impeccable. One of our favorite parts as well as the guests, was how delicious the food is! The tiramisu is also outstanding, and we highly recommend doing that for the dessert. Their vendor recommendations were extremely helpful as well, and we enjoyed that they had great relationships with each one which made things easy for the big day. I couldn’t be happier with having our wedding at Salvatore’s, thank you Suzi and Lauran!
I cannot say enough good things about working with Salvatores for my wedding on 11/15/14. They made the entire process SO incredibly easy. I primarily worked with Amanda as our wedding coordinator, and I have to say she is simply the best. She saw us through the entire wedding planning process from the moment we chose Salvatores (best idea weve ever had!) to the walk down the isle. She was always prepared with helpful suggestions, but never pushed us on our decisions. The space is beautiful - you really dont need much for decorations - they space really speaks for itself. The food is PHENOMENAL. Were about 2 weeks out from the day we got married and people are still talking about how great it was and inquiring about Salvatores selling their vodka sauce. The day of the wedding everything went more smoothly than I could have imagined. The team at Salvatores takes so much pride in what they do, and it is clear that they are extremely experienced in everything they do at the restaurant. If you are looking for a stress free planning process with great food and booze and an even more amazing staff... youll regret any choice that isnt Salvatores. Let them do what they do best and choose them for your wedding or event!!
We got married at Salvatores last December and it was amazing! Lauran and Suzi were really helpful and responsive throughout the entire process and Suzi helped us with the rehearsal and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of! The food was incredible-definitely have to go with the tiramisu- and the staff was great! Its a great space if youre looking for something other than a typical wedding ballroom!
Having our reception at Salvatore’s was one of the best decisions we made in our entire planning process! My husband and I were in an unusual situation, we live in TX but got married in Chicago. We had my parents go and view the space, and they fell in love instantly. They face timed us and we knew that was it, so they signed before we even saw it in person! The layout of the space is perfectly different from most wedding venues you’ll find. Having the dance floor in a different room from the tables provided nice breaks for some of our older guests, or even those who just wanted a moment to step away from the party. The outdoor space is a nice addition to the already wonderful venue. The location is great, Lincoln Park is a fabulous place to get married- especially in the fall when the streets outside are STUNNING. Plus the valet parking made it extremely easy for our guests who drove.Lauran and Suzi are wonderful to work with from the start. They always answered my (numerous) emails and questions promptly, and eased so many of my worries when it came to logistics, timing, food, whatever. Having Lauran there the day of the event as well put us at ease as we knew she’d keep things moving and under control. The rest of the staff is polite, fast, and we enjoyed working with every single person we interacted with. The food... its phenomenal. We had such a hard time deciding what options to pick because everything was so good. So many of our guests commented on how good everything was. Definitely recommend the tiramisu, we did that and had a small cake brought in from Sweet Mandy Bs to cut. Not only was it delicious, but everything is sourced from Salvatore’s so you don’t have to worry about having ANYTHING, which was so crucial for us when it came to logistics. Both bars were very well stocked, and the bartenders were quick. As the bride, I didnt have to worry about a single thing not being done exactly the way we had asked or decided.Overall I have nothing but good things to say about Salvatore’s. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a little extra magic on their wedding day.
Salvatores was amazing! We worked primarily with Amanda, and she was able to help us with every need/want we had. If youre looking for an all-inclusive package, this is the spot! We didnt live in Chicago, so we wanted a venue where we could make as few pre-wedding trips as possible, and Salvatores was perfect! The food was amazing, the servers were fast and kind, and the restaurant was beautiful. We didnt need any more decorations other than flowers for our wedding because the ambience was already wonderful.
Salvatores was hands down the perfect wedding venue for me and my husband. Suzi and Lauran, the wedding coordinators, are timely, professional, and extremely organized. The best part of working with Suzi and Lauran was how truly kind and caring they are. They genuinely cared about us having the perfect day! Their list of preferred vendors was fantastic and incredibly helpful. The day of the wedding I was able to relax and enjoy. I had nothing to worry about. The venue itself is gorgeous and unique. There was plenty of space without the typical ballroom feeling. It felt very intimate and didnt require much decorating. The food was amazing- my guests are still raving! If youre looking for a beautiful, no-stress wedding, Salvatores is your venue.
We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Salvatores in July 2015. I could not have chosen a better location. We sought a venue that was beautiful, romantic, served excellent food, and that was cost-effective. We found all of those qualities in Salvatores. Suzi and Amanda were very easy to work with and were very patient with a bride that asked a LOT of questions. They were very accommodating in all aspects and our wedding day seriously went off with out a hitch. All of our vendors complimented us on our venue. Salvatores allowed us to host our dream wedding, and I would recommend them to anyone.
My husband and I held our wedding reception at Salvatores this fall and I am still getting compliments about how fabulous our wedding was. It is an absolutely beautiful venue, with vintage charm that you really cant find anywhere else in the city. The coordinators at the venue, Suzi and Lauran were extremely professional, responsive, patient and so fun to work with. They really made sure they understood our vision and helped us every step of the way. I must have sent them 100 emails during the planning process and everything was always answered quickly. The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, every dish was perfect and our guests raved about it all night - especially the vodka pasta and the tiramisu. I wish I could go back and eat there right now. The tasting was so fun - make sure you come hungry! The drinks and the service were outstanding - they were all so professional kind to all 200 of our guests. People were drinking martinis, manhattans and all kinds of specialty drinks (which are included in your package). The venue also had a super cute patio that made for the perfect getaway space during the evening - although the dance floor was the place to be! The garden is perfect for some intimate bride and groom shots as well. If you are considering a wedding in Chicago, dont wait - book Salvatores now, you wont regret it.
I see most of the reviews online are regarding wedding experiences. I went to Salvatores for Easter Brunch.Every year for Easter and Mothers Day there is an outstanding brunch. It is just wonderful. What I love most is the ability to invite many members of family or friends. There are several dining rooms you can choose from. There is also a lovely outdoor garden area as well.We had the most lovely dining and service experience. Brunch selections are amazing. There is a lovely array of breakfast and hearty lunch/dinner options. I tried to eat healthy and there were great choices for me which were delectable. This sweets table was amazing. I just dabbled but every bite I tasted, I LOVED.Salvatores is a MUST for brunch. Make sure to book early for Mothers Day. They fill up fast.
We got married in September 2020. When we originally booked Salvatore’s as our reception venue, it was pre-COVID. Sherife and Marco were very responsive and easy to work with as we adjusted our plans to comply with new Illinois COVID guidelines. The end result was even better than we could have imagined! The food is outstanding and there was plenty of space for our guests to practice physical distancing throughout the rooms in the venue. Highly recommend Salvatore’s!
Salvatores was perfect! It was the exact atmosphere we were looking for...old supper club/restaurant/classic. Suzi and Amanda were fantastic, they were able to answer any question I had, they were pros! The night went off without a hitch and Suzi was hands on all night. I really appreciated them being so professional, but at the same time making me feel special. Theyve been through hundreds of weddings, but still understood this was our special day and treated it that way. Highly recommend Salvatores!
We had our wedding at Salvatores in May 2017, and I dont even know where to begin singing their praises! We had a long, frustrating and exhausting wedding venue search, until we walked in to Salvatores! It was honestly a breath of fresh air! We met with Suzi who walked us through everything, leaving no questions unanswered. After our tour, we could not stop beaming and before we even made it home, we emailed Suzi to reserve our date! From there everything was smooth sailing! They responded to every email quickly and thoroughly, there was no guess work or surprises. At one point I even asked this is too easy, whats the catch?!, well, there is NO CATCH!! They worked seamlessly with our other vendors too, which is a huge plus! Finally our wedding day rolled around and I have never been more relaxed and comfortable. Normally I am pretty high-strung, type-A, but on the wedding day I left it all in Suzi and Laurans hands and the day was smooth sailing! They really did make our day perfect and our guests still rave about the food, drinks and atmosphere! If you are looking for a beautiful, vintage Chicago venue that provides delicious food and top notch service, look no further than Salvatores!
Salvatores is probably the best value wedding venue one can find in Chicago proper. Not only is it beautiful and a classic space to host in - Amanda and Suzi are extremely responsive and can ensure that your event goes off without a hitch! The wedding was gorgeous and we only needed minimal decorations to make everything look amazing. They were very flexible about a delay we had with a key member of the wedding party, as well.At the end of the night they boxed up everything for us and made things super easy! Very glad I had my wedding ceremony and reception there.
Truly an amazing experience! We were married at Salvatores and had our reception at the end of November. As someone who was never a pre-planner at age six for my dream wedding I cannot recommend Salvatores enough. Amanda and Suzi were excellent - so accommodating, kind and attentive. I never felt like I was a nuisance or inconvenience as so many places can make you feel. Our wedding was small, elegant and everything we dreamed it would be. And the food - amazing! Our guests loved everything - from the apps, to dinner and late night snacks. It was very important that we had a plated dinner and open bar at our wedding, and Salvatores really delivered.Truly an amazing experience and highly recommend!!
I could not have imagined my wedding in any other venue. From the moment we walked into Salvatores for a tour, we knew this was our place. Even after touring 3 other places (our first and second choices no less) we couldnt match the same feeling we got with Salvatores. It has an intimate environment yet holds a decent crowd without feeling like a boxy hotel hall and the style/decor screams classic Chicago. Then we met Amanda and Suzi. We were in good hands the whole way. These ladies are so friendly, thorough, professional, and just good people. The food is outstanding. If you are looking for classic and unique appetizers to please diverse pallets, look no further. Every guest complimented and still raves about their meals - the salmon is a must and filet is perfect. The wait staff was amazing and attentive. They also have a killer preferred vendor list - ask the girls who their favorites are and you will be blown away. Using their preferred vendors saved on guess work and logistics, not to mention time. We planned and threw our wedding in less than 5 months and it was PERFECT. The whole experience felt all-inclusive and the space doesnt require any decorative extras after you add some flowers, which really helped on the budget. It has a great history for those Chicago natives looking for a local place with character. Put Salvatores on your top 3 list to check out and you will know what Im talking about. They are the ones to beat.
Salvatores was the perfect venue for our reception. The layout is gorgeous both inside and out-- the interior showcases classic fixtures to complement the patios incredible lighting and ambience. The service was sharp, and staff was refreshingly responsive, flexible and communicative during the quoting process. Suzi and Lauran were great to work with for our spectacular day!
Everything about this venue is perfect. The people, the location, the food, the atmosphere, the patio, did I mention the food??? I highly recommend Salvatores. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we had endless comments about the venue itself as well as the food. Suzi and Lauran are easy to work with and helped us in so many ways. They have great recommendations and were extremely helpful on the day of.
I had my wedding this past August at Salvatore’s and it was perfect. You know when people say, “Something always goes wrong on your big day and to not let it get to you.” Well I can honestly say that NOTHING went wrong! The venue itself is beautiful and completely fit the romantic look I was going for. I loved that there were different areas for guest to party in. I wasn’t interested in a banquet hall wedding where everyone is just in one large room so if you’re looking for something different this is definitely the place. The food was amazing, especially the baked salmon and tiramisu (the best I’ve ever had!). We opted out of serving wedding cake and instead served tiramisu to our guests and people raved it. Suzi and Amanda are a pleasure to work with and handled all my requests. When researching venues it was important that the coordinators where there to help and we didn’t need to hire an additional wedding/ event planner. They helped choose and ordered the linens, they set up all our extra decorations and even worked with me on a signature drink. Plus, they have an amazing vendor list, I used their recommended DJ and florist, which made my entire wedding planning a breeze! All in all, this place is a Chicago gem! I can definitely see myself planning other events here. (they do anniversary dinners, birthday parties, etc…)
The atmosphere was upscale. The service was silently awesome. The food was delicious. The entire wedding reception was excellent. I leave only four out of five stars for two simple reasons. The building or establishment itself kind is lacked character and the seating arrangement was very crowded. I had to keep scooting in all the way to bumping the table to let anyone pass behind me. When seated regularly for eating, the back of my chair was less than two feet from the back of the persons chair at least next table over from us. Besides the space and lackluster personality to the place, it was excellent. I would recommend it. Just dont max out the capacity?
We recently hosted our daughters wedding and reception at Salvatores. We chose them because of all the positive reviews we read, the location, the menu options and the fact that they would help us set up the day of, given that I am from out of state. We were not disappointed on any count. The convenience of being able to have the ceremony and reception in one place with so many options was invaluable to us. Amanda and Suzi were so helpful with setting up our table décor and allowing us to retrieve our things the following morning. The food was absolutely fantastic. We wanted a true Italian feel so we went with the family style pastas and chicken. Yes it is all true about the tortellini and the farfalle with vodka sauce! Courses were served promptly and hot! The tableware was spotless. Wait staff was efficient and so pleasant!. We had caprese pops, smoked salmon on potato pancakes, stuffed mushrooms passed, with a platter of the best calamari ever, at a table in the middle of the room during cocktail hour. It just kept coming! Our price included delicious Tiramisu so that we eliminated the wedding cake and everyone was much happier! Salvatores is in the event business, and they have mastered it..which is exactly what you want. We looked at other venue options but none compared to the value, service and quality of food and bar service. The location is charming and the interior needs absolutely nothing but beautiful flowers and on that note, if you can, I would recommend ordering from Costcos bulk flowers and doing them yourselves. We were then able to give the arrangements to the staff the next day. The best part of all, is the wonderful compliments we have received from all of our guests. We chose a Friday evening, to save some money, but also to allow guests, most from out of state, to have the entire weekend to enjoy the city. Thank you to Salvatores for making this special life event nothing short of perfect! It was absolutely fantastic!
I am so happy with our decision to get married at Salvatores! Suzi and Lauran were SO patient with my (what felt like ) endless questions and answered everything so well! I didnt have a wedding planner and have never been involved in planning a wedding, so that was just so helpful, personally. Further, they helped lead the rehearsal (which would be a disaster without them) and made everything SO smooth on the actual day!! In between the ceremony and reception, the space was absolutely transformed and just beautiful. They used my decorations in ways that looked better than I had originally planned.Other than how wonderful and helpful they were, the space itself is amazing. Its beautiful, classic, and intimate; exactly the vibe I was hoping for for my wedding. Honestly, once I saw the website, I stopped looking at other venues.Third, of course, I have to comment on the price. The pricing was very clear from the first time we met. There were no surprises at the end or anything unexpected. As a bride, I have heard from friends about unexpected costs, so this was a HUGE plus! Additionally, the price is affordable for the location, and I am grateful to them for making this wedding possible in Lincoln Park for us.Overall, definitely recommend the venue, food, and of course, Suzi and Lauran!
Our little Sunday brunch wedding at Salvatores this past weekend was truly awesome! So wonderful! I have to admit, the vibe at Salvatores wasnt exactly what I originally wanted or envisioned for my wedding. The dark woods, white table cloths, Italian food/old Chicago feel, etc., seemed too dark and formal for my quirky, bright daytime karaoke summer wedding. I originally chose them simply for the convenience; theyre close to home and the price was right. But WOW OMG did they exceed my expectations BY FAR. I have gotten so many compliments on the venue and the day of, the space looked just completely perfect. I was sooo nervous about my mom and mother-in-law setting up the decor to my liking themselves but when they arrived at Salvatores, Amanda and Suzi took over and everything was exactly the way I had wanted it, and so much of it was even better than I expected! They made my ideas even better! :-) I was also particularly impressed with Amandas patience the day of. She was being pulled in all directions and she maintained her happy and calm demeanor and was simply a pleasure to work with. She made sure we stayed on schedule every step of the way and everything went off without a hitch. The service staff were all on point, like seriously, my wedding there was perfect. PLUS, they are SO AFFORDABLE. You get so much for the value. Salvatores is located in a prime location and theyre pricing is impressively cost effective. The only few areas for improvement I have is that they usually charge for tastings and they wouldnt let us extend the time for our daytime wedding by an hour (we contracted for four hours), even though there wasnt another event after ours and we were more than willing to pay extra...I hope they just do away with these policies in the future altogether. The bathrooms could use an update and the separation of the dance floor from the dining room makes for hurting feet because you cant sit and still watch the shenanigans, but they cant exactly change something like that; its just the way the building is made. Outside of these very minor notes that had no effect on my perfect wedding day, I honestly cannot thank them enough for an amazing wedding and helping create memories that Ill cherish for the rest of my life. I absolutely recommend them, especially for more intimate weddings like ours was! THANK YOU, SALVATORES!
Ken & Rebecca - Married at Salvatores Sept 14 2013Salvatores is a fantastic venue for a wedding. Thats it. Fantastic! The neighborhood is a tree lined charmer in the middle of Lincoln park. You cant miss the ambiance and tender slivers of light poking their way to the flowers. Once you enter Salvatores, youre kind of transported to another era where craftsmanship of woodwork was decorative and embellishing.Suzi and Amanda are probably going to be the first people you meet. Theyre so approachable and wonderfully accommodating. Aside from Amanda, we discovered everyone there has been working as a team more than 10+ and 15+ years. We were very well taken care of - and so was our event material; that was huge! (Gifts, vendor packages, table favors, special family cake cutting knife, you name it!)We were never drawn away from the fun of our wedding day. They knew what the vendors needed, and when they needed it. They knew how to handle late quests and what to do with last minute changes. We knew what to expect from other reviews we had read. So we let them do what they do best. And we are so grateful that we did!! Some of our guests still comment on our wedding and how great everything was. THAT, is incredibly special to us.Oh, and I know youve waited long for this - YES, the food is great! And for the cake? Take their recommendation on the bakery. Our cake tasted sooooo good and was decorated perfectly! They really do deliver great food, talent, experience, and ambience! We still go to Salvatores for a brunch or a dinner when theyre open for that; the food, ambiance, and staff are that good! Its not just a wedding venue. Make it your place. Let it be a great memory! You get to return to the place where the special day was at for another dinner or brunch. How many couples or families get to do that?
Terrific wedding venue serving great Italian food. A separate room for the cocktail reception w grand piano and a lobby area with another grand piano for ceremony celebrations in a room elevated above the lobby. I believe the venue used to be a hotel in the 30s. Great place for a wedding up to 250 people.
My mom just called me and asked, “What was that glorious Italian place in Lincoln Park that we always went to all the time for years when you lived there [almost 20 years ago].” Well, without missing a beat I said, Mom! How could you forget! It’s Salvatore’s! She and I were both so worried covid19 had negatively impacted you guys, so we googled you and were nearly brought to tears to see you’re still doing well and the wedding pics are gloriously beautiful! I don’t doubt you’re still The Best place in Chicago. (And my mother is 100% Italian, stereotypical Italian best-cook-in the-land judgy mother, extremely difficult to please, so that’s like having the highest stamp of approval.) Miss you and Lincoln Park! Xoxoxo Forza Italia! Hope to be back soon. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹❤️❤️❤️ 🍝
I have attended a couple weddings here and hosted a party here myself, couldnt be more impressed with the taste of the food, the atmosphere and the service. Amanda and Suzi were awesome to work with and i couldnt have planned such a great party without them. Cant wait to host another party there!
When we were looking for wedding venues back in 2019, our first stop was Salvatore’s. It’s a classic events place right in the heart of Lincoln Park in Chicago. We loved the place right away. We went to look at another venue just for the sake of checking another place but Salvatore’s had our hearts already the very first time we walked in. We booked them for May 17, 2020 but then Covid happened. We are just so happy that after a year of postponing our original wedding plans, we finally got married at Salvatore’s last weekend. It was a smaller and more intimate than what we had originally planned but we loved everything that Salvatore’s had done to make our wedding day a very special and memorable one. It was all we had ever imagined and so much more!We would like to thank Marco, the General Manager of Salvatore’s for going above and beyond to make our special day run so smoothly. We highly recommend Salvatore’s!
Went there for Mystery Murder Dinner with my family. It was hard to understand because Im deaf and the people who were speaking were far away to read their lips but I had fun and I had my answers correct but I was outvoted. Anyways, the food that was provide was spot on. I loved it. Inside the restaurant was beautiful.. I wish theres a better parking but I cant complain. Its Chicago. Lol.
If you are looking for the best venue in Chicago, Salvatores is it. When my husband and I were looking at venues, we really wanted a venue that was responsive, had amazing food, and didnt require too much additional decor. The venue manager Marco and Renata were just amazing to work with. They were so responsive to my questions and overall so pleasant and professional to work with to create our special day. The food was delicious. We even had a vegan guest who traded desserts with his partner, because the tiramisu was that good. The venue itself is such a beautiful space for our reception for 170 guests. We wanted a much smaller ceremony and had that held on their gorgeous patio. The venue is truly a hidden gem tucked away on a quiet street in Lincoln Park. We loved our wedding and cannot recommend Salvatores enough!

2022-01-04I am a wedding planner who has done a number of weddings at Salvatore’s over the last few years. I love working here…it is classic, old Chicago, but it is also super easy to work there, with friendly and professional staff. They have a great system in place and are wonderful about sticking to timelines while being flexible. It’s an easy load-in for vendors and there are several different rooms to allow for various parts of the event to take place throughout the evening. Highly recommend!

2021-12-14My wife and I had our wedding reception at Salvatores in November 21 and it was the best decision. The venue is beautiful and in a great location. We had about 140 guests and there was plenty of space for everyone. Our guests loved all of the food options that we chose. The staff was incredibly helpful leading up to the event. Marco was always available to talk if we had questions as we were planning . Everything ran so smoothly on the day of the wedding. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with everything.Overall, I would recommend Salvatores to anyone planning a wedding because of the professionalism of the staff, quality of the food, and the timelessness of the venue.

2022-02-27My husband and I could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our dream wedding. Salvatore’s is the best of the best! Renata and Marco are some of the nicest, most accommodating people you’ll ever meet. They were beyond helpful, patient, thoughtful, and selfless. Marco and Renata’s quick accommodations due to changes in our family’s health will never be forgotten. They even made sure to save us some appetizers and tiramisu! They made sure we had everything we needed, throughout our whole wedding planning journey and of course the day of! They were so responsive to our emails and phone calls. We truly couldn’t be happier. The food and service was out of this world. We received tons of compliments about Salvatore’s from our guests. Salvatore’s is a hidden gem!

2022-06-20My wife and I recently got married at Salvatore’s (May 2022) and we could not have had a better experience! Everything was perfect – the venue, the staff, and the overall wedding package that Salvatore’s provides. Just a phenomenal experience.First – the venue is absolutely beautiful! My wife and I barely had to bring any additional décor because the venue already had so much charm and character. We held both our ceremony and our reception at Salvatore’s. After the ceremony, our guests transitioned into the spacious cocktail room while the staff flipped the room to set up for dinner. It was so nice just transitioning from one portion of the night to the next without having to plan any logistics/travel. I think our guests really appreciated this as well. Salvatore’s has multiple rooms that you can utilize (including two separate rooms with big bars). They also have a great outdoor patio that our guest could get outside and get some fresh air. From a pricing perspective – you cannot find a better value downtown Chicago. Everything is handled by the staff at Salvatore’s (food, drinks, valet, set up, etc.), we did not need to worry about bringing in any other vendors. From start to finish they orchestrated the party. The food and the drinks were also great (still thinking about the Tortellini!).Finally – the staff was so great to work with! Marco and Renata always took time to answer any questions that we had (no matter if it was 18 months or two weeks before our wedding date). On our wedding day, the entire staff just wanted to make sure my wife and I were having a wonderful time. With all the planning that goes into one day, it’s great to have people reminding you and encouraging you to live in the moment! We would highly recommend Salvatore’s for any wedding/rehearsal dinner or event! It will always hold a special place in our heart and we cannot thank the staff enough for giving us the experience we both wanted!

2022-08-16I flew from Argentina to the USA just for my nieces wedding, and it totally worth it! The staff was great, and the food was amazing! The fact that booth managers speak Portuguese and Spanish also helped a lot because my relatives that dont speak English were able to communicate with the staff. We had the best time!

2021-03-11I had my 130 person wedding there in Feb 2019. The planners were SO helpful and accommodating. The venue was perfect for what I wanted -- an old time Chicago romantic feel. Everyone RAVED about the food. We offered three entrees: the tortellini, the filet, and chicken. Originally we only wanted to offer the steak and chicken but the pasta was to die for. We also had the tiramisu as our cake and it was the best! The dance floor was spacious and the two bars were ideal for our group that loved to have a good time. There was never a long wait for a beverage. We had a dessert bar at the back bar as well. Tips: Have DJ test audio, I dont think he was loud enough when announcing first dance etc. Also, make sure the GPS has you going to the front entry. Although we provided valet, many people were dropped off in their uber around the block because the map wasnt correct. They may have fixed this by now.

2018-01-23When jumping onto the web in search of a reception venue in Chicago, youve probably found there are A LOT of choices out there. But clearly, Salvatores caught your eye (because youre reading this!) and for a good reason. You will not regret looking into this lovely venue and will CERTAINLY not regret booking your event with the amazing team there. Trust me.When starting the hunt for a wedding reception venue, my now-husband and I had just a few guidelines when searching: the location had to be right, the space had to be unique, and the food had to be great. Not only did Salvatores fit all of these points, it exceeded our wants a hundred times over.Location & Look: Our first visit to the venue we really, really liked it. Blocks from the lake in Lincoln Park, a mile from our home AND our church. Easy. We were hoping for something not too big, not small, cozy but with an old-time elegance (go back to those photos again!) The decor speaks for itself, and to be honest we didnt want a space where we would have to start over with decor, and Salvatores was perfect for us.Food: In my circle of friends a common theme of wedding food is The tasting was amazing but the day of was just okay... NOT the case at all with Salvatores. Everything myself, my hubs, our families, and guests enjoyed throughout our experience was delicious. Cooked properly, served at the proper temperature, attractive (important!). If Salvatores held normal dinner hours Im pretty sure we would have been back within weeks of our reception to enjoy their food. The drink selection was great too. Not one complaint at all, only rave reviews. NOTE- we had a few dietary restrictions/requests (myself included) and all were handled perfectly. One last and very important part of our planning process and the day-of guidance that definitely made the whole entire experience fabulous - the staff at Salvatores. From day one Suzi and Lauran answered my countless emails, always welcomed me to come by just to revisit the space while planning, and took control of everything the night-of in a way that really put us and our guests at ease. All details were attended to, any situations were taken care of, all stresses abated. All in all, we owe a very large bit of the success of the event to them. And lets not forget the great service staff! One of the best compliments we received about the reception came from a friend. She said her favorite wedding overall was her own, however, that changed when she attended ours. I think that says enough!
