Just left salon alchemy from getting my hair done and I had to jump on here as soon as I got home and let you guys know how great everyone there is. LeNaia spent 9 hours doing my hair and I’m in love with it! She took her time and it definitely shows in her work. She was super sweet too! Definitely would recommend.
I knew of Salon Alchemy from a friend who got their hair colored there in fun colors and styles and it always looked great. So, when I decided to go natural with my white hair (Ive had it since I was a teen), I thought of them first. Andrea has been helping me transition from box color to my natural streaky white and brown, and she is awesome! She really knows her stuff and my hair looks great! The shop itself is comfortable and clean, and everyone there is super nice and very knowledgeable. Theyre also very careful with Covid compliance and dont mess around, which I love. Highly recommend.
I was so scared to dye my hair but it turned out great. Andrea was just amazing and made the experience so much better. She made me feel so comfortable and did an amazing job on my hair
Just moved to Peoria this year, was pointed in the direction of Salon Alchemy and they did not disappoint! LeNaia did such a great job and was so friendly. I will definitely be coming back to get my hair colored 😊
Completely overpriced. I made appointments for my mother and myself, at the end of the call..five minutes later...she informs me that it will take at least 4 hours to do highlights on my moms hair and cost at least $245.00. then says my simple haircut alone will be $45. I cancelled the appointment and went to thairpy in Bartonville and my mother got her highlights and I got the best haircut I have ever had and together we paid only $60. Price gauging is not ok.
Ive never had better experiences at a salon than the times Ive spent in Andreas chair. Regardless of how many times or how often I want to change my look, Andrea knows EXACTLY what I want and is able to execute it without compromising the integrity of my hair or my long term hair goals. Not only is she a great stylist, but she is fun and hilarious to hangout with during the whole process. I recommend Andrea for everything from super short clipper cuts, alternative pixie colors, haircuts, and styles, as well as longer hair styles and fun colors. This is your girl!
I highly recommend Andrea at Salon Alchemy. She is amazing at keeping up with my hair color requests. She is a master at her craft because Ive loved every cut and color she has done for me. She can do vivid colors (pink, purple, green, blue, reds, etc), as well as your typical colors. My husband goes to her now for his haircuts too!
Highly recommend coming here! Its a very comfortable, friendly and welcoming atmosphere that leads to a great experience! My stylist, LeNaia, is AMAZING! I came in with horrible box colored hair (after years of dying) and she really took the time to go through the color correction process. Her passion comes across and she really encourages asking questions and learning more about ways to improve hair care! Shes also a great conversationalist and has a great sense of humor!
Ive been seeing Andrea for all of my hair needs for years now and she does excellent work. Whenever I want to change my hair color or cut she always knows what Im looking for and executes my wants without damaging my hair. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a cut or color!
Emily and the rest of the stylists in the salon go above and beyond for an exceptional experience! After a long hiatus, I came in with a bunch of damage but Emily got my hair feeling soft and stunning! I’m absolutely in love and feel so much more like myself. The atmosphere is so calming, everyone is so friendly, and they always do an exceptional job!edit: I had another session today and have to post the transition. Emily is always conscious of the health of your hair, and absolutely did a great job keeping my locks luscious after just two appointments.

Ive been to Salon Alchemy twice and each time Ive had such a positive experience. I love the look and feel of my hair after visiting the salon. LeNaia did my hair this last visit and she knocked it out of the park. She was great to chat with, did a great job with my haircut and helping me decide on the right shade for a toner, and styled my hair with such care I felt like a superstar. Highly recommend this salon! Ill definitely be back again.

Havent had a hair cut in 9 to 10 months had at least 8 inches of hair cut off had LeNaia cut my hair. Theyre very clean with covid protocol which is awesome. I decided to go for a very drastic change in a hair cut that Ive never done before and I love It. I gave her a photo of what I had in mind and she nailed it! Its the best hair cut Ive ever had. Great service Ill definitely be back.

I had JoAnna as my stylist, and was absolutely amazing! JoAnna not only made my vision come true, but she thoroughly explained what she was doing, throughout the entire process. She shared options I had never known existed. I normally go somewhere cheap and quick, but after this visit, I will be investing the time and money into my hair. I highly recommend JoAnna, and Hair Alchemy!
First, I think it’s important to address the seriousness with which the salon is taking safety precautions amidst COVID-19. Their attention to detail in regards to the safety of both their staff and customers is commendable. I felt very safe and comfortable! I had the chance to meet the owner Emily while I was there and she was very kind and clearly wanted anyone who came to the salon to feel welcome and safe.Second, my stylist was FABULOUS! I came in with some hair color issues and I was nervous. But Andrea made the whole process fantastic and I left feeling confident about my hair! She is very talented, professional, and friendly! I cannot recommend her enough!

I love love love Shanna at Salon Alchemy! My first experience was with Shanna fixing a hair mistake that I made...face it we have all done bad things to our hair and should really leave our hair to professionals. Shanna did a great job stripping out the accidental blue color and making my hair gorgeous and just what I wanted. My second experience was just as wonderful. I love Salon Alchemy and all the folks there as they are very friendly and very knowledgeable about hair! Le Naiya is simply awesome and while every time I have colored my hair in other salons I have had bad mess ups especially because I have a sensitive scalp, this is the only salon where the girls consult each other and have ensured that they used the right color and mix to ensure that my scalp doesn’t react to the color. Plus with my busy schedule I always appreciate the flexibility of Le Naiya to accommodate me even at short notice! I highly recommend this salon!!

A miscommunication on hair color resulted in an unfortunate dye job at a different salon. I was able to get squeezed in for an emergency color correction. LeNaia is a miracle worker hair saver! She recommended a course of action and was able to lift the unwanted color to a reasonable, natural shade, then did an overall color to blend everything together. Very friendly, personable and knowledgeable! Very happy with the color, which was exactly what I was looking for originally. Highly recommend!
LeNaia did a great job helping me go from Covid hair back to normal. She is very pleasant to interact with and knowledgeable. The salon itself is decorated extremely well, you can tell that a lot of love goes into the operation the place. I highly recommend going for the obviously skilled artist and homey atmosphere.

I received my first gender affirming haircut today from JoAnn (hoping I spelt that right!) and I’m extremely happy with the result. Everyone there was super nice, and it overall had a really good atmosphere that really helped me relax because I was honestly pretty nervous

Ive been going to Salon Alchemy since September and I have to say, Ive never experienced this level of customer service. I actually went because I saw so many positive reviews for LeNaia! She is everything these reviews said she was AND MORE. She is real with you, she takes the time to get to know you and she helps you make the best decision for your hair! Shes so great that Im happy to drive all the way into downtown peoria (30 minutes) just to go to her. Love, love, love!
I had a very nice experience here. Hailey has been waxing me for a while now, and I followed her over to salon alchemy. She always does an awesome job. I feel like she takes her time to wax me. I would highly recommend her!

Haircuts can be unremarkable, routine or even a thrilling reinvention of yourself. Regardless of your take there may be no better place in the area, with no better staff to assist you. Whether you’re going for your standard upkeep or wanting to reinvent the wheel, you’re always carefully stepped through the process before you begin. It’s incredible to see the staff maintain such an exacting standard each visit. Something I hope other patrons don’t undervalue. A heartfelt thank you to Andrea, and everyone else involved.
I absolutely adore this place. This is the first salon Ive been to where its a welcoming atmosphere. All of the ladies are super nice. I personally go to Kim and she does an amazing job on my hair and brows! I love the fact that I can hang out and chill while having my hair done unlike other places where you sit there and just make small talk and thats all there is to it.

It was my first time here so of course I was a bit nervous, but chose Salon Alchemy because of their coloring reviews and was not disappointed! My hairstyle was very grown out and brassy, and LeNaia did a retouch and got me exactly what I wanted: lots of definition and beautiful natural colors :)
Emily works very hard to make sure that my personal hair needs and goals are met. She is very knowledgeable about all types of hair and is very open to giving advice about products that fit my needs without being pushy. I always enjoy going to Salon Alchemy. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, the experience is always great, and I definitely feel like LeNaia not only gives me the hairstyle I want every time but approaches the job with a level of expertise and skill that Ive not had in a stylist before!
Today was my first time at this salon, I wasnt 100% sure what I wanted to do but I knew that I wanted a new look. I had an appointment with lenaia and she was absolutely phenomenal her energy was fantastic, she made me feel very comfortable and she was quite knowledgeable about my hair texture and what would work best for me. This was honestly the best haircut Ive had in quite some time I absolutely love the way it turned out like and I feel like a new woman, Ill definitely be coming back to her from now on. A very pleasant experience and I will be sure to refer anyone who asks me.
I love my hair! I felt so safe during Covid19. The salon did an amazing job with all the reopening guidelines. They even had air purifiers between each open station! I’m super impressed. Great conversation, great quality. 10 out of 5 stars! ✨
Wow wow WOW. This is gonna be long, but in depth. As a young adult dying their hair, Ive been lots and lots of colors. However, when my mental health took a turn, I stopped taking care of it as I should. I finally walked into a salon 6 months later, and I did NOT expect what my experience was. Shana went above and beyond just a hair color and cut. From making me coffee, to chatting about music, to working diligently on my hair color, the whole experience was truly amazing. As an at home kitchen scissors kinda person, I can truly say, kitchen scissors begone! I look forward to seeing her again when it comes time!
LeNaia gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and had been dreaming of for over four years. My hair is very long and pretty thick so theres a lot of it, and I had colored at home a lot, so it was damaged and different colors. She really had a job with me lol! She communicated perfectly to understand just what I wanted and explained everything she was thinking to get my hair back in good shape. She is such a sweetheart; Im a customer for life! I like the ambience there, too, and its a really convenient location. Just an awesome result, Im so happy!

As always LeNaia was an absolute sweetheart. She listened to me and what I wanted the outcome to be. She did her absolute best to give me what I wanted. As usual her best exceeded my expectations. She made me feel comfortable and very welcomed and treated me like a friend rather than just a customer.
LeNaia made magic happen. The whole staff was personable and lots of fun. Definitely a repeat customer here. Color isnt just a quick process so be aware that you need to have a healthy head of hair.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I had appointment with LeNaia today and initially I was confused about what needs to be done to my hair as it was damaged and so frizzy. She walked me through the suggestions and the final output was great and was exactly what I wanted.

Recently moved to the area and went to a few different salons for consultations. Wanted very subtle change to my platinum blonde which was becoming severely chemicals damaged. Ive been going here for the last 7 months. I get a cut about every 4 weeks. I havent ever been disappointed and I enjoy the conversations as well. Ive seen a lot of other patrons in that time. Ive never seen anyone dissatisfied and can honestly say their hair has always looked great.
Paid 200 bucks for my wifes hair. She felt rushed out and it turned out the exact same as when she went in. Im obviously not the one in tears over my hair but i was just very taken back that they did not offer to fix for her. 200 bucks down the drain :(

She LISTENS to you and doesnt start hacking off hair, give you tips, tricks, and styling pointers ( I NEED that kind of support in my life because I am aesthetic skill challenged! LOL, Im so serious...) You KNOW you have a great cut when you can legit wash it and go if you want/need to. I got a well, magical hair cut and style, products,brush, and styling tips from a funny, uplifting, and caring professional! What could be better! All of the girls are always so sweet to everyone and really try their best to accommodate everyones wants/needs. LeNaia always keeps everyone happy and makes sure everyone is comfortable, not to mention always gives a great cut/color and wax, whatever you need, shes your girl!

Where to begin...when picking out a hair stylist you need to pick someone with an amazing personality (because more then likely you will be chatting with them) and someone who is amazingly talented. Emily goes above and beyond amazing. I havent had my hair done for over a year and she turned it into something beautiful. Hair was a mess before, faded blue-green from months ago. Everything I wanted took around 4 hours, but it was totally worth it. Friendly and very skilled. Eyebrows waxed as we waited for the color remover to do its job, and the reddish-blonde I came out with is so much better than what I had previously. Salon Alchemy is a wonderful place to run my beauty business. My clients love the neighborhood and the decor! I enjoy working alongside the other talented stylists. At the end of the day, its a little hard to leave. The relaxing atmosphere and good people make it a nice place to be.
I came in with a CHALLENGE for LeNaia and she knocked it out of the park!She took better pictures than me, but you can see here that my before included some pretty blunt bleached lines, some various fading and shades and something called a money piece.I had a pretty big ask: highlights, lowlights, blending, darken it back more natural, etc.LeNaia used SEVERAL simultaneously techniques, working meticulously and thoroughly to fix my problems and create a new masterpiece.I came in a hot mess and left feeling like a beauty queen!And my hair was so SOFT and Glossy! I normally want styling every time but this time I wanted to leave it and just touch it nonstop! Haha.If anyone ever asks me where to go, I know exactly! Ask for LeNaia!Hard work, talented hands, fair pricing, no rushing, great job!!

For the ladies- Salon Alchemy offers a wide variety of services including nail care, waxing, eyelash care, eye brow care, and henna body art. All of the stylists are artists of their craft. Ive not seen a single cut, color, henna, or any combination of services turn out anything less than sexy-fantastic. My girlfriend goes in all the time so I get to see a lot of variations on sexy.For the guys- Break up with your barber and your big chain hair cut stores. Tell them its them, not you. Whether you are sporting a traditional cut, rocking an adventurous Fabio-like look, or looking to change your style completely, I personally guarantee you will walk out looking and feeling badass and sexy as f*** with zero regrets. Its the 21st century, gents. High caliber haircuts arent just for girls anymore.

2022-03-30I had my first appointment here last week with Andrea and I could not be more pleased with how my hair turned out! She was very friendly and knowledgeable, she even recommended a new shampoo and conditioner for some issues Id been experiencing that worked wonders. I will definitely be coming back to visit her for my future hair needs! I had an amazing visit and the salon itself is very comfortable and clean.

2022-03-05I would recommend Salon Alchemy to everyone, it has such a friendly environment and the service I received was phenomenal! My stylist was LeNaia and she was able to get my hair exactly as I wanted even though my request definitely wasn’t easy. Throughout the whole appointment she was very upfront about pricing and made sure to ask me before doing anything that might cost extra. I’m addition, she kept me up to date with exactly what she was doing while working on my hair and involved me in the process, which I really appreciated! LeNaia put a lot of care and effort into the dye job and her passion for what she does is one of the factors that made my appointment so enjoyable. The salon itself is clean and wonderfully decorated, adding to the already positive atmosphere. Salon Alchemy went above and beyond my expectations and I already have another appointment booked!

2020-03-11Salon Alchemy is hands down the most spectacular salon in the area. The environment is simultaneously relaxing and energizing. Plus each of the stylists do masterful work. Emily in particular is a veritable wizard. She is completely committed to providing the best experience for her clients. Furthermore, she takes the time to invest in the long term goals for hair and nail health. I personally will not use any other establishment and I cannot sing the praises of Salon Alchemy enough.

2021-09-18Not only was the atmosphere so welcoming and comfortable, but LeNaia did an incredible job! I went in not 100% sure of what I wanted, and she STILL delivered exactly that! She brought my dead hair back to life, and boosted my confidence 10x over in the process. I can’t recommend her enough!

2021-09-03As a person who had never gotten their hair done except for shortening and trimming, I had a great experience with LeNaia in transforming my hair. Like I told her before initially booking my appointment, I didn’t want to go and make a decision I would regret in the future. I told her I wanted a wolfcut and she told me she prepared herself for that type of cut by watching several different videos before I came in! LeNaia made the process very reassuring and swift! Great service and a great time. I am so happy with my new haircut.

2021-07-20I came in with black box-dyed hair and zero knowledge of how to take care of my hair. I wanted to lighten my hair back up before my wedding, not knowing what a difficult process it can be. LeNaia and her team gave me realistic expectations from the beginning, and took the time and effort over many sessions to give me the results I wanted, while keeping my hair healthy. LeNaia both kept my hair amazingly healthy, and nailed my color correction beyond what I even expected from the beginning. She also has taken the time to teach me how to take care of my hair moving forward. Im leaving with plenty of hair knowledge and the PERFECT hair for my wedding! All thanks to LeNaia and the team at Salon Alchemy. Im never going anywhere else!

2021-04-20My first impression of the salon is welcoming. This is my first time at their salon and I had a wonderful experience. The stylists make sure you are well taken care of and make sure that you are comfortable with what they are doing to your hair, eyebrows, lashes, or any other service you are requesting of them. I had the pleasure of Kim’s service most of the time and she was very pleasant and friendly. She made conversation with me the whole time and made me feel like I was one of her best friends. Kim is very intelligent and innovative. She gave me her professional opinion which helped guide me make an informed decision on my hair, eyebrows and lashes. I am very grateful I was able to be in her service. I also had Emily do my nails and was very satisfied with the design we chose together. She was even accommodating to making a new color when she didn’t have that exact color on hand. Thank you ladies for making my self care special. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a salon to take care of them.
