I like rulers its the best especially when you have a large family to feed. You get your moneys worth. However on one occasion I was shopping and overheard the cashier complaining how she hates the 1st of the month. Mostly because ppl at a disadvantage shop in there well hunny news flash if it wasnt for those ppl shopping you wouldnt have a job.GET A GRIP GIRLFRIEND it could be you. Also alot of items dont have prices. Thats frustrating!
Good prices. Not the greatest selection. Weak produce. Descent meat. Employees are rude. No bags. $.25 for a shopping cart (deposit). Prices were so good, it still gets r stars.

This is the best kept secret of grocery shopping in Springfield! This is no nonsense shopping at a fraction of normal cost. Lots of folks Ive told do not shop there. They think the shelves are stocked with seconds. Not! How about a gallon of milk for 92 cents a gallon? Eggs @ half the cost anywhere else? Meats and everything else in the store need to be seen to be believed. Bring a quarter for your shopping cart, Youll get it back when you are done. Guaranteed, you will reduce your monthly cost of groceries. You will need the cart. Trust me!
As a previous manager of this store, I can verify that they break health code violations daily. The meat sits out of the coolers for several hours in the back room. I personally wouldn’t buy or eat anything from the meat section.They also had me lie about the sell by date we stamped on each package of meat by adding another day sometimes more. They hate throwing out any food there. I was actually wrote up once for damaging out expired meat. They told me next time to change the date and add an extra day to try and sell it.
One if my favorite stores to shop for groceries. Its similar to an Aldis but does carry some name brand items. Produce and meat while not a huge selection is good and everything Ive bought has been fresh. I can buy a weeks worth of meals and snacks, breakfast and stay around $100 for it all to feed a family of four.
Just love Ruler, prices, location and staff are wonderful. Only downside is that they do not always get a good amount of advertised specials. Many times go in for a special and if you are not one of the first few, it is gone and they never know if they are getting more.
Im very happy that Ruler is here (Wish Kroger came back as well)wIth the demise of Shop N Save (ruined by and closed up when NO LONGER SuperValu got out of retail) aside from Wal-Mart the remaining full service grocers are no bargain at all

The prices are good. It is hit or miss on some item availability. It is not the cleanest of stores, very dingy these days.

2018-07-27Good prices but the decor is a little weird. The carts there are not nice at all. To use one you have to put 25 cents into a little thing on the cart. You get it back when you put the cart back. The floors look dirty and in some places cracked. Some places were not in stalk and some things were not prices. There were very few staff on location to help. Shopping time is 3-20 minuets.

2018-08-02My new favorite grocery store! If you dont care about name brands, then this store is great. I save a lot of money shopping here and Ive never bought anything that wasnt good. I can find what I need and find new items to try and when I check out, its always much less than I expected it to be. Grocery carts require a quarter to use. Bring your own bags or boxes to carry out your items. Check out is always fast and the staff are all awesome and so friendly. Store is fairly clean. Ive seen messes in the milk refrigeration units and the packaged poultry shelves but thats it. Everything else was ok.

2018-06-12Best prices for food in town. I can get 2 weeks worth of groceries for my small family with our budget. If I shop at another store, I can only get 1 weeks worth of groceries for our budget. Its great for discount food shopping for food. Their store brand food is good. The store brand frozen pizzas are very delicious. Recommended for people on a tight budget. bring your own shopping bags and a quarter for the shopping cart. you can also buy bags away the store when checking out.

2020-06-05Great selection of Kroger and value products for cheap. Produce is always good too. Update; after the remodel, the prices went up. I no longer shop here. If Im going to spend on those prices, Id just as well shop at meijers and walmart.

2017-02-14Prices are pretty low here, great if you have a tight budget. The selection is pretty basic though, about on par with Aldi there. I have found that it is pretty common for them to be low on stock or out of stock on some of the popular and cheap items which usually means you still end up at a bigger store to get that stuff. Overall pretty good store.

2017-06-03I go to Ruler Foods first, and get what I need for much less than what Id spend at any other store. Others might say the store isnt brightly lit or fancy, but if thats how they keep prices down, its fine by me! Its always been clean and well stocked when Ive been there!

2019-06-15I was hooked the first time I went. The store was clean, associates were available to ask questions. I have a small budget and I am able to purchase name brand items at a very reasonable price. I have continued to shop there now for over a year.
