I had a wonderful experience at Riverside Medical with the Cool Sculpting center. The environment was very relaxing and welcoming. The staff was so accommodating, knowledgeable, and made you feel completely comfortable. JoAnne, was fantastic, and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. She was extremely well-informed and really an expert in this field. I was more than pleased with the remarkable results and will definitely go back to Riverside in the future!
Ive been a patient since 1997. Dr Goldstein is my primary physician. He found my thyroid cancer. He never rushes me. I always get in within ten minutes and never wait once in the room. He has a dry sense of humor that cracks me up. We get along really well. His assistant is Dia, and shes been with him for years. That is another nice feature. Dr G is very attentive and thorough. Love Riverside!
Im not only giving the practice 5 stars because I work there, Im truly giving it 5 stars because of the way this practice treats me as an employee AND a patient. We are family. This group of doctors have grown their medical practice over the past 37+ years by word of mouth and their reputation. We have grown from 4 doctors to 7 with a PA. We offer on site ancillary services so patients can avoid going to the hospital for tests and we accept most insurances. We are a private practice and are proud of our close knit team of employees who make coming to work everyday a ton of fun.
I have been a patient of Riverside Medical since 2001. Dr. Goldstein is my Primary Care physician. The quality of service I have received from ALL of the staff has been exceptional in every way.Riverside Medical has earned a 5 Star rating -- I highly recommend them to you for your medical needs.
Went for another preventative routine wellness visit. My BCBS insurance recommends I yearly get said type visit done. If only Riverside could be relied on to do this yearly testing and valuable record keeping.Even though I specifically requested the preventative routine wellness code as the reason for my visit to the person during appointment setup, the person at the front desk on arrival, the nurse who first saw me, and the Dr, as that was all that I wanted and wanted no mistaking my intent for the visit, they still disregard what Im in for. Billing claims they are charging me for something I did not agree to or believe is necessary, though as the person in billing wasnt actually present, she explained she doesnt know what actually happened and can only read codes (i.e. no point in talking about it to her). People who were present at the exam are apparently too busy to ever explain what they believe they were doing by disregarding what I clearly asked for? I do not know if I would agree to something besides my requested exam if the doctor were to explain why he wanted to do something additional, but I was never offered any explanation and choice. Unfortunately, I have to start over and find a better, more ethical practice for me.
I had the absolute best experience with Cool Sculpting and the staff couldn’t have been more accomodating and friendly. Laurie and JoAnne were extremely professional and gave you the “realistic” expectations on what to expect. The procedure is painless and they have a nice, cozy room with a TV, refreshments and snacks while you are being treated. My results exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier.
I am SO HAPPY I found Dr. Flershem. A friend highly recommended her and Im so glad to have found a GP. What I like more about Dr. Flershem is the amount of time she spends with you and her bedside manner. I was looking for a doctor who was extremely smart, detailed and thorough and Ive found that with her! She does have a wait list for new patients but it was worth the wait.
Stay away from this place!! I went there for an annual physical, which should be covered 100% by my BCBS medical insurance. However, they charged me $100+ after the insurance payment. When I questioned them why they charged me for a preventive annual physical, the billing person explained that its their office policy to treat the first visit of any patient as an office visit. In addition, they charged me $100 deductible as soon as I walked into the door, also claiming that this is their office policy. Please stay away from this place so that you dont get robbed.
Dr. Flershem is an incredible physician and person. She is extremely, extremely knowledgeable and caring. (She has even called me at 9:00 pm to check on me when I was ill. Who does that? A caring doctor does.) Dr. Flershem spends time during your appointment. She offers good information and offers helpful advice. She is amazing with her wealth of knowledge! By far, she is what all doctors should strive to emulate!!!!!!! I know under her care, I am getting the VERY BEST!!!!
I have been a patient of the practice for well over 20 years now, along with my parents, siblings and my now grown, adult children. These doctors are amazing as they genuinely care about their patients.As Dr. Mangurten moves towards retirement, I have now been seeing their new associate Dr. Thalheimer. Although I will miss Dr. Mangurten, I have to say that Dr. Thalheimer has a wonderful chairside manner and made me feel very comfortable at my initial and subsequent visits.I definitely give this practice a thumbs up!
I had very good results with my Cool Sculpting. It is painless and with no down time. Laurie is very professional and realistic about what my outcome should be. Appointments are made easily with flexibility of hours.
BEWARE!!! Just received a bill for a well visit. Dr. Berkowitz charged us for a separate office visit for telling my husband he has low vitamin D. Be sure that you are looking at your EOB carefully because they code it so it looks as though he is justified in double charging a visit. My husband did not ask any questions outside of the wellness realm and was still charged. Dr. Berkowitz offered information of getting his Vitamin D rechecked because Vitamin D is not included in the wellness visit and then charged us as a second office visit. I believe this is highly fraudulent and unethical. I can also tell you our family is not the only one this has happened to! BEWARE!!!!!

I have always found Dr Flershem to be passionate about her responsibility to her patients, regularly staying on top of emerging conditions, and can offer her professional opinion in a straight forward yet understanding manner. I highly recommend!
I have been a patient here for over 30 years. I always HAD a great experience when Dr. Mangurten was there. He’s retired now and no one seems to care.
Never, EVER, consider this medical practice. I flew my son in to be treated by DRs that have treated him since he was a young boy and he was refused treatment because he has Obamacare. After telling them he would just pay for appt and Labs, he was STILL refused treatment. Thats after I flew him in from the West Coast primarily to see his long time Dr. Riverside has no compassion, empathy or understanding.AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS

Takes long time to get to someone to help. come on, how long does it take to convert? to a new system. i feel problem was there to begin with. one particular time, i waited 8 minutes on phone to get to person to help. when i asked if a problem with phone that it kept coming back with the same message over and over, i received an attitude. it was on a wednesday, so it could not have been busy.
All the doctors are very thorough and patient - answering all my questions at every visit and making sure I understand any and all recommendations.
Dr. Pride is the best! Also Laurie Weber from the Cool sculpting clinic!
Very outdated, dirty facility, and stinky facility. The staff is rude and incompetent staff who violate patients HIPAA right by posting their health information online.
Dr Berkowicz is an exceptional doctor and is very thorough. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

2022-07-26The CoolSculpting spa is beautiful and the technicians are wonderful! I wanted to get rid of my turkey neck/second chin and had amazing results in just 3 1/2 weeks! It looks as though I have had a neck lift. I am so pleased.

2022-03-18I have been a patient here for many years, and I am very grateful to be under the care of PA Tyler Kostecki. He has a wonderful bedside manner, but also importantly, he is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and does a great job explaining all of his decisions and recommendations. These are qualities anyone should look for in a healthcare provider. I will spare the details, but I can also say with confidence that Tyler helped save my life. I am very thankful for him.

2022-02-23Didnt feel like the office was very interested in keeping their patients.They have an online portal with the option to schedule your appointments online, so I used it. Received a message back saying that the doctor is not available during the two weeks window I provided. All other clinics Ive been into were always calling back checking what other time works for me, but not here. Felt like they were not interested.

2021-10-26This is a fantastic practice. Doctor Thalheimer is a legend. Hes down to earth, chill, takes time to listen, and offers tremendous advise. Hes quick to respond to messages in the patient portal. I trust him entirely with my health. If youre reading this, you should disregard any 1 star ratings. Those ratings appear to be from self-entitled customers who will find any reason to complain. The majority of those reviews are not representative of the clinic what-so-ever.

2021-11-06After thirty years with our primary care physician in Chicago, my husband and I moved to Arliington Heights and decided to find a primary care doctor locally. Diane Flershem was recommended to us by a couple of people. When we made the first appointment, it was time for our annual physical.. We were both immediately impressed with every aspect of the practice. We had forwarded many of our files, and Dr. Flershem had obviously been prepared by the information she had received and had some pointed questions to ask in some instances. She scheduled a repeat of some of our previous tests which were again due and asked detailed questions about the information she had received in the reports we had sent to her. She was obviously well prepared. Some of the tests were repeated at her office that day. Again, everyone who performed the tests were as professional, knowledgable and as courteous as she was. When we needed a little help using the computer communications, again we had the help we needed handled in a very courteous manner. We have great respect for the doctor, her associates, and technicians and would recommend the doctor and her associates for their expertise, caring and unfailing courtesy.

2020-02-02I give this place ZERO star if I could. This place is a SCAM!!! As many others complained - This is the ONLY place Ive known in the area charging office visit for annual physical exam (which usually is 100% covered by insurance). Going to annual wellness check in this office like stepping in a trap - If your doctor asks you if you have any concern and you answer anything, they consider thats a office visit. My husband was charged for office visit last few years. This year, he absolutely didnt ask anything yet he was still charged for a office visit.I saw the manager replied some complaints, saying they do that to save the patients 2nd trip. Thats WRONG doing. Nobody going to a annual physical wellness checkup, knowing that insurance covers 100%, would expect being charged for office visit. If the doctor would charge for any check-up items, he/she should let his/her patient know that what he/she will do would be charged extra. But the doctor never mentions about that.Again, this is the ONLY clinic charging extra as office visit for annual physical wellness exam while its covered by insurance 100%.While this clinic does have some good specialized doctors, DO NOT USE DOCTORS IN THIS CLINIC AS YOUR PRIMARY PHYSICIAN FOR ANNUAL PHYSICAL EXAM.

2021-02-10I have been seeing doctors in this practice for over 10 years and it seems that the practice is capitalizing on charging patients unnecessarily. Recently, I’ve called to ask very simple questions and am always met with a “I’ll schedule you a telemedicine appointment.” The last two telemedicine appointments I’ve agreed to have lasted two minutes and I was charged for each visit in full when I had initially requested a quick phone conversation with a doctor or nurse. Every time I call from now on I am met with the same response. It’s unfortunate that I cannot rely on this practice to support me or my family. I’ve had to relay my questions to my children’s pediatrician who have doctors and nurses readily available to field calls for their patients. I will be looking for a new practice, as it seems that many reviewers are experiencing similar financial scams with this practice. They are not trying to help patients, they are trying to make money. I do not recommend this practice!

2019-01-19I had an amazing experience at Cool Sculpting at Riverside Medical! The team is so professional and realistic about expected outcomes from the cool sculpting procedure. I am thrilled with my results. The entire process is easy and pain free. Also, they have very flexible hours and were even open to weekend and evening hours at times that no other office would offer. Shout out to JoAnne! She was amazing!
