Outstanding service. Bought our trailer 4 years ago never going anywhere else. Mike and the other service coordinators always friendly and courteous and we learn some new trick or hint every time we come in for service or just to ask questions. Outstanding customer service. 👏
We owe Dominick a huge thank you!!! We we’re getting ready to leave on a trip and the eyelet on the arm that supports our awning broke. We stopped in to see if we can get this part and Dominick happened to be at the service desk. Unfortunately this isn’t a stock part but he said give him a minute and he’ll see what he can find. He came back with the part we needed and even told me the safe way to install it. People like Dominick are the reason we keep coming back to Ricks for all our RV needs. Thanks again Dominick!!! We buy all our RVs from Ricks. Paul is our sales guy and I trust him to give us quality vehicles at great prices. But every single sales guy is so helpful and willing to take a few hours to show us around, even if they know we are buying from Paul. See you soon for an upgrade.
I bought my camper new from Ricks, and I’m glad I did! My wife and I love camping, but there were a few little things that were overlooked at the factory. I brought my trailer back to Ricks and Mike hooked me up with repairs! Everything that I’d identified was fixed, as well as a couple things I hadn’t seen. Mike at Ricks really looked out for me and tried to get me back in my camper as soon as possible. Can’t wait to get back to the campground, thanks to Mike and the staff at Ricks!
Marty was great helping me chose what I needed for my rv. Helped setup scheduling which was in and out in 2 days. I thought would be 3 weeks! Thanks Diane too.They were great at how things worked and even questions I had that they weren’t working on.I’ll go here rather than a “big box” world rv center from now on. My husband and I recently purchased our RV from Mike Pilon at Ricks RV. Mike went above and beyond at every step of the process. If he didnt have an answer on our specific trailer - he found it and got back to us. We asked for some customizing - he got it done faster than anticipated. When we arrived to pick up our trailer, the alternator in our truck had just died! Mike got an alternator delivered (addl one after first reman unit failed) and helped my husband change the alternator in our own truck!! I cant say enough about the excellent customer service from Mike. Hes the BEST! And thank you to the whole service team as well! We will never use any other dealer but Ricks RV!!!!
5 STAR experience with the entire process of our purchase of a 2016 Jayco 8SD Sport. Our salesman Brian Pilon greeted us immediately upon arrival. He was very knowledgable of every aspect of the camper we were interested in viewing and ultimately purchasing. Being a single mom with 2 young boys he went above and beyond to explain every aspect of the camper, making the entire process memorable. He was very knowledgable about the entire camping experience and provided exceptional tips making me feel confident owning and pulling/backing into my own driveway, as I have never done either previously.. yes his tips were so helpful I was able to back the camper in my driveway in 2 tries...!! The entire staff was extremely helpful with setup, sales, and just helping me understand what I need all while never pressuring me to buy anything unnecessary. If your looking for a trustworthy business to purchase your 1st camper or a new camper from, stop in and see Brian, you wont be disappointed..!! When we were looking at purchasing a camper we needed an honest and trustworthy place and ricks rv still treats us like family even 2 years later. We were traveling to Eastern Ohio in our motorhome. A component of our towing unit came apart. Contacted Ricks RV in Joliet, IL hoping they could assist. Mike, through inventory checks and calls to the supplier was able to furnish the part. We could then continue our trip. Mike certainly went the extra mile for us.
Ok, bare with me, this is gonna be worth it...We shopped for months trying to find our RV at the right price for us. We live in Vegas, and the dealers here just couldn’t hit the right price. Vegas wanted $65K for our rig, Rick’s RV got us our rig right at $42K!!We originally ordered our RV in November 2018 for a 2019 Jayco Eagle HT 30.5CKTS. To our dismay, there were set backs with our order. However, we were actually given a 2020 when we finally got to pick it up in May 2019 at no additional cost to us. This was exciting!Within a month of having our RV, our queen size mattress already had a small tear on the seam. We called Rick’s, and they immediately sent us an upgraded mattress to Vegas for free!Fast forward over a year later, we are in West Yellowstone Montana, and our slide is stuck!!We called Jayco and they basically said there was nothing they could do, but we should take it to a dealership... so we called Rick’s RV to see if there was something they could do. Their amazing staff heard our issues, connected us to a tech right there at Rick’s and he walked us through how to fix it, step by step!!We cannot speak high enough of this dealership and how amazing they truly are!
Ricks RV is the place to go, they are the best. Brian, Mike, Anna and Kevin were fantastic! Buying our camper was like having a chat with a good friend. Pleasant experience all around.Brian suggested a combination load leveler and sway control that really makes towing smooth and straight a piece of cake.This was our second camper from Ricks, and well be back again fir tge next one!
With my Jayco trailer after hooking plumbing and water up and pressurizing everything and checking drains my pee traps were leaking pretty heavily my paneling is scratched pretty good more than scratched I plan on going to ricks and asking them about the condition of a brand new trailer never used

Ricks RV is top notch when it come to trailer sales and servicing, we recently purchased a 25 travel trailer and let me tell you we couldnt be happier. We met Tom Part Manager at the RV show in Rosemont briefly told him what we were looking for and within minutes he had us connected with Kurt a salesman in Joliet which was great to work with very responsive to our needs and gave detailed insight being our first camper. After hashing out a few minor details with Jeff in service we were able to secure the unit with a fully refundable deposit which would hold the unit pending final inspection and the rest is history. Highly recommended place to buy.
We recently needed to have some repairs done to a slide out on our travel trailer. We have used Rick’s RV in the past with great results and this was no different. We knew Marty in customer service would take care of us. He communicated with us every step of the way and worked hard to make sure we were back on the road as quickly as possible. We highly recommend Rick’s to anyone that needs RV service. They also have a large selection of RV’s for sale. Great place
Once again Ricks RV came through for us in a pinch! This review is a bit late (sorry Ricks 😉). We went camping the second week of September. On our way to go camping, we had problems with our brake lights and braking system! We were all packed and ready to roll. And I couldnt figure out why I wasnt getting brake lights on the camper. We stopped and Ricks to see if they could help us knowing that last minute could be a real gamble. The garage was full of campers being worked on and they still stopped to helped us out! They figured the problem out immediately after about of half hour of testing and searching! My experience with Ricks has always been extremely positive. the service desk, the techs and the management seem to all go the extra mile.So I wanted to recognize them for their excellent work and kindness to help us out in a pinch!!These are the people who were involved with our transaction.Service desk--Brian, Ann and CrystalService--MikeTech--JoeAnd of course Jeff the GM who made it all happen!THANK YOU RICKS, YOU GUYS ROCK!!
From purchasing our Jayco 23RL to having service done, Ricks RV has provided excellent service and all staff members are helpful and friendly. Nick was our salesperson, Ken our service advisor, and Ricky our tech. They are very detail oriented, explain everything and also provide it in writing. We highly recommend Ricks RV especially if you want a Jayco camper or need parts and/or service on your Jayco. 3-14-20 update: still the BEST ever! Had the camper in for a few minor things that had us concerned and one major issue (our fault). They took care of everything, made recommendations and helped submit to the insurance company. We stayed in touch with our service rep Diane often and she explained everything, and our technicians, Tom and Pat, were excellent. Thanks all!
I was refereed to Ricks RV by Jayco, and I now know why - they are simply the best!From the pricing to the additional stuff they were more than Fair!, I dealt with Mike, who did way and beyond to tailor the best deal for us.We made an appointment for Saturday 3PM, and when we got there, they were ready, and by 5pm we got all and more than expected.Jim the finance guy was respectful, and worked with us to find the best package.Buying any kind of vehicle is a mini adventure and at time it is horrible, and at times it is pleasant, this time it was the latter.We look forward to using our new RV, and we will come again to Rick RVs for service and all of our traveling needs!So if you are in the market, give them a call.
After a near catastrophe when our receiver hitch broke on the road we were fortunate to find Rick’s RV not too far away. Their parts and service staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we were relieved to find they had all the parts we needed included a specific Blue Ox receiver hitch to suit the height of our Jeep. Within a short period of time we were back on the road. Thanks guys!!
Mike and the guys in services are top notch. I wouldnt go anywhere else or trust anyone else with my travel trailer. Mike is super responsive and is always there to help. Amazing customer service and always goes above and beyond. Mike will always take care of you.Also Mike in sales is amazing as well. He sold us our travel trailer and is always there to help. When we went on our vacation and I had questions, he always responded and help out any way he could. If you want great service, Ricks is the way to go.
From my experience you will get much better deals from any other place. I was recently looking for certain model of RV. I found it listed at 4 places and Ricks had the highest advertised price even though some of the others came with better packages their advertised prices were thousands lower than Ricks more basic model. I tried giving Ricks a chance to match the pricing, but they were only willing to drop the price from $16,999 to 16,499. For comparison another dealer had the same RV with additions of a customer value package and solar package for $14,750 advertised and they willing to drop their price even further. I looked on several sites to find the average sale price and found the low sale price for this model was just under $13,000 and the average was mid 14,000s. I guess go to Ricks if you feel like paying more for something that has less on it than the same model other places.Update: Almost forgot about this review. I was able to get the RV 4 days ago from the dealership that advertised $14,750 and got it for $14,500 out the door. I love that it came with everything Ricks was selling on theirs for $16,499 (before taxes and all the hidden fees) plus this one had the bonus of a solar package added to it. I am sure there are shady RV dealers out there, but there are good honest ones too that will actually do everything they can to earn your business unlike some other places. I will update where I went once a couple more people I know get their deals completed. Trust me it is worth shopping around though.
We purchased our first financed RV this past week. Mike was wonderful to work with. We could tell he knew his Rvs and did not try to upgrade or sell us on more than what we needed and could afford. He was easy to work with and was very professional. We highly encourage Ricks for your next RV dealer. Tom our Tech and Jim in finance were also so great to deal with. We will definitely use them again when we are ready for a new one!
Awesome team at Ricks RV, from sales to accounting; from services to parts, work seamlessly throughout. Everyone we met were friendly, kind and caring. For us, the first-time RV buyers (only a small travel trailer,), we have never felt being rushed to make decisions. No matter how big or small our questions were, we have always been treated like VIP, with respect and responsiveness. In particular, our salesman, Joe F. , was so helpful, responsible and supportive through the entire process. And Dwayne, our trainer, was a fantastic teacher. He was so patient with us, and thoroughly demonstrated, explained and re-explained everything. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who is shopping for a RV.

I purchased my RV from Rick’s during the summer of 2018. I’ve had it in for service a number of times doing routine maintenance. All of the service advisors are excellent. However, Mike has always been absolutely amazing. He’s knowledgeable, communicates well, and goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I’m happy with the service. Thanks Mike!!!
Overall my experience has been okay at Ricks. The manager Jeff is generally very responsive and will take the time to address concerns. Also, Dianne in service has always been respectful toward me in nearly the year that I’ve had my RV. The sales guy Kevin was always nice and greeted all his customers with a smile. The only issues I have had are with the RV itself but it is typical of RVs to have many of the problems I have experienced. Just know if you have never owned an RV that there will be many small minor repairs that will need to be made over time. Happens when it’s bouncing down the road all the time. The Staff at Ricks has always addressed the issues as they come along and have always stood behind their warranty.
We purchased a Jayco Eagle 12UDK pop-up camper from Rick’s RV in 1998. Still have it after all of these years. Have used Rick’s RV for service the entire time. They are always top notch. Recently had it in for service. We worked with Diane. She is very personable and did an outstanding job of communicating with us. Highly recommend Diane and Rick’s RV as a business.

Took a 1993 Jayco in to get the lift arm replaced and a couple other items. On a older camper, not only did they fix them, they did it at a reasonable price, and with great customer service. Mike was awesome the whole way and I understand why the previous camper owner was so high on Ricks. Would gladly go back for more service on this camper or when Im ready to upgrade.
Very helpful, low pressure. Got a very good deal on a used camper with no hassles or headaches.Paul, Derek and Cody were all very helpful and communicated well and in a very timely fashion. We were late to our pick-up and orientation appointment and they took this in stride.Dwayne did a great job of showing us around the new camper and seemed very knowledgeable. Rick in service was also super helpful and had great communication.Shop was clean and seemed well organized. Looks like a top-notch operation and our customer service experience was very easy and pleasant and we are very happy.
I had my new camper in for service & Mike in service promised he would make it right & he sure did! Also called him after I got it home & my fridge would not turn on. He walked me thru a bunch of things to check & after a few call backs the problem was solved & the fridge turned on. Mike is very knowledgeable & if he doesnt know he will definitely research & get it taken care of. If your camper needs service Mike should be the guy to call!
Ricks is a great place to buy and have your trailer serviced. They really do care about making sure you are happy and Ive never had any issues getting warranty work done. I belong to many RV groups on FB and have heard lots of nightmares. You wont get that here! Just fair pricing and great service!
This is our second Jayco we have purchased from Rick’s RV first one was in 2005. Finally figured it was time for an upgrade! Kevin our salesman was great to work with very knowledgeable on all the campers we looked at. No point did we feel pressured and he stayed an hour after closing to make sure we had all the details. Rick’s was great in 05 and were great today in 2021!
We were referred to Rick’s by Jayco for service on our 5th wheel. From the time we arrived for our appointment until the time we picked our camper back up, Diane took excellent care of us. She was friendly and made sure to keep to her word by keeping us informed and sticking to the approximate time schedule. The 5th wheel looks fantastic. A special thanks to all the guys and gals who may have had a part in that.
I bought a Jayco one year ago right before the pandemic. Day 1 toilet paper holder fell out. Now i have a recall on the stove, and had a repair man look at my air conditioning unit. Problem? It was not plugged in. When Ricks received the trailer they should have caught that and done the repair.i want to add that Ricks has acted in good faith and are sending me a check for the repair since i orginally posted this. Too bad they are 3 hours from where my trailer is. I look forward to working with them for my next trailer.
We absolutely love Rick’s. They have been nothing good to us. Our salesman Mike was great and never pushy. Very honest. We had some minor things that needed attention and they got us in quickly. Everyone in the service center was amazing. They were very patient will all the questions we had as new rv owners. They explained everything with us and really took their time. We are so impressed with Rick’s and all the staff. We will be life long customers because the service is amazing.
Work seemed to be done accurately and pretty much on time. Staff were efficient and pleasant. Only issue would be customer service: if there is a request for something so minor that it takes only a couple minutes, dont charge a labor rate of 15 min ... Especially if done as part of a much larger job. Good customer service provides something like that gratis. Parts are fair game.
Bought a wonderful trailer from Ricks. Everyone was very kind and there was no pressure to purchase but much excitement when we did. When you pick it up they provide two to three hours of training of how to use the RV before you leave with it. So we felt very confident when we left. Well definitely definitely shop there again
We purchased our 2020 Jayco Eagle ht 30.5 ckts on May 15, 2019. This was our first RV of any kind and had heard horror stories about RV, Dealers and manufacturers. I am happy to say that the purchasing process was smooth and pain free with no surprises or unexpected dealer tricks that I have heard about. Our sales person was Paul who treated us as friends, not just customers. He even called me on the onset of winter to remind me to winterize the unit. The unit was ready at the agreed pick up time where we were given an instructional walk through, showing us how to use everything on the fifth wheel. Over the past year and 3 month we have loved every minute of RV ownership. We have had some minor issues that have either needed a technician or a part replaced. All issues were completed promptly without us having to be without the RV. The reason that prompted the review at this time is yesterday while camping at Yellowstone National Park the kitchen slide would not extend, I called Ricks RV and explained the problem. A few minutes later a their mechanic called me back and walked me through how to fix the problem myself. Thank you to Ricks RV and all the staff.
Ricks RV was able to fit me in, despite not having bought my pop up there. They did a full inspection, and made some repairs faster than they said they would. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Id definitely recommend them for service and I wish I had bought my pop up from them initially.
I’ve been having a couple electrical issues the past month and Jeff has been consistently returning calls and text to get the situations handled ASAP. I had the pleasure of meeting the tech Tom and he blew me away w his professionalism and people personality! He was thorough w going through my camper and his explanations of the issues that he had fixed! He was very knowledgeable and gave great preventative advice! Thank you Jeff and Tom!
I purchased my Jayco Pinnacle from Rick’s RV. I feel like I got a decent deal on my RV, especially since it was special ordered. Most importantly, Mike Pilon was my salesperson and he is the most professional salesperson I’ve ever worked with. It’s been a year since I purchased my trailer and I can STILL call him when I’m having issues and he helps me out. I don’t care where I live in the country, I will always buy from here because of Mike.

A fun and enjoyable experience !Knowledgeable , friendly and non pushy staff !We had looked at several RV dealers and were treated poorly . I expected the same this time . But was very much surprised to find everyone at Ricks RV to be welcoming and friendly . They treat you like an old friend that youve known for years ! They listened closely to your wants and needs and help you find the perfect fit. We had a team of people working together to help us make a dream come true and they did perfectly . I can not thank Paul in sales enough for his time and patience with me while I literally walk a hundred circles around the lot narrowing down what I really wanted ! Jim in finance works wonders ! He knows his numbers and can make it happen ! He nailed our target payment and kept us on budget ! He wanted to see us make a dream come to life just as bad as we did . He was rooting for us the whole way through ! And on a side note , Im diabetic and my blood sugar dropped very low while there at Ricks RV and Jim was right there to help me . He helped get me a place to sit , brought snacks and a drink. I was back to feeling good in no time and continued on with our business . Once everything was in order we met Dwayne ! He did our walk through and covered everything . He knows his stuff ! Any question , he had an answer and was able to explain in detail . We were told over and over if we have any questions later to pick up the phone and call or come on in . The customer service carries on even after youve made your purchase . I have no reason to ever do business with any other dealer but Ricks RV .

Bought brand new travel trailer from them. Paid for additional service contract. Under the sink leaking, bedroom window wont lock, screen door not fixed properly. Put call into them 1 week ago and still havent heard from a Diane who was supposed to schedule service. Would never have purchased something from this place had I known the customer service, and service department, were so bad.
Mike, our salesman was truly amazing. We had no idea what we wanted or any idea of what was out there. As complete beginners they helped us with every step. They found out what size and layout would be best for our family.Dwayne helped us do our run through and showed us all the ins and outs of the camper and was so informative and helpful. Like I said, were complete beginners and this is our first camper. First class treatment and operation from top to bottom. Everyone from sales, finance, service and parts were enthusiastic and ready to help. My salesmen Nick and Paul were patient with me as I shopped around different dealers and makes. When I was finally ready to purchase, Jim in finance walked me through the process and was honest from beginning to end. I purchased the Jayco Micro 166FBS and could not be happier with the financing, warranty and professionalism displayed by these guys. The communication and cooperation was excellent to get the repair work done on our Jayco trailer. Diane Norton did an outstanding job of coordinating all aspects of the project and the service team did a great job with the work itself. Great service!!! We bought our camper through Rick’s RV. Needless to say, the fridge went out the day before we were scheduled to leave for a trip. I spoke to Jeff, at Rick’s who immediately attempted to help us fix the issue over the phone. The circuit board went out for no apparent reason (which I hear is pretty common). Jeff knew we were scheduled to leave the following day, and scheduled a mobile technician to come and replace the circuit board at our home, while we were at work in order to not delay our trip. Jeff, kept me informed via text (since I was at work), every step of the way. Later that evening Jeff text me just to check on us, and make sure everything was working well. I am extremely satisfied with the customer service at Rick’s RV. If you are considering purchasing an RV, Rick’s is the place to buy! Rest assure that Rick’s will not leave you in the dark after you sign that purchase contract!!!

When we entered Rick our salesman Paul greeted us and we talked about what we would want in a travel trailer. Finally a salesman that listened we walked to a trailer and it was perfect for what we wanted with a few more bells and whistles , that Im sure we will use. He showed us other models to get some ideas but in the end we bought the first one.Jim in finance got us approved and took care of our paperwork and walked us through everything. Its refreshing to see this level of customer service and it continued everywhere we went at Ricks.Dwayne explained everything about our travel trailer and our hitch and explained maitenence and upkeep.All the staff made sure to tell us if we had any problems or any questions just pick up the phone and call. Very nice and easy to work with. We were shown the trailer and did a walk through without any high pressure sales pitch. Went into the office and got a fair price on the trailer. They then went above and beyond by working with us to get some other needed equipment to seal the deal. Want to thank Kevin and Dave who got this deal done. We found Kevin to be extremely knowledgeable about the camper and all the products that go with it. Definitely would recommend this dealer to our family and friends.
We purchased a travel trailer from Ricks in 2016. Jim Freeland helped us with the purchase. Since then we had a few issues with the trailer, but Jim went above and beyond to help us get the problems fixed. Its not like some of those other places where you buy a trailer and then you are on your own after you pull out of the lot. Most recently he totally went to bat for us when our trailer was in the shop due to a wheel problem. He thought we were getting taken advantage of by an auto shop and called them directly to question some of the charges!!! I mean come on who else would do that?! He helped us with our insurance questions and even helped us file the claim. I cannot say enough good things about Jim and Ricks RV. Weve had friends buy from Ricks RV recently and they are receiving outstanding customer service as well. They really take care of their customers throughout the life of the trailer.
This team is AMAZING! They make every single customer feel like their RV is the only one that matters when you take it in for service - and ofcourse it really is the only one that matters to us! We didnt buy our trailer from them but you would have never guessed that with the way they treated us. We purchased a 2018 Jayco Melbourne Prestige motorhome and had some warrantee covered electrical issues and a safety update from Jayco that needed to be completed. I called Rick;s RV to make my service appointment and to my delight an actual person answered their phone in a very professional and upbeat manner. I was immediately transferred to their service department where I was able to make my appointment.Arriving for my appointment, I was politely directed to the service department where I was warmly greeted by Diane who prepared my repair work order and answered all of my questions. After my RV repair was completed, Diane called me as promised to tell me it was ready to be picked up.. I arrived to pick it up, it was waiting outside of the service department as promised and Diane took time to professional go through each item that was serviced. John my Service Technician did a great job in completing my repairs and even added notations and suggestions to help reduce the possibility of having future problems with the repaired items.Great service from people who care!.
Purchased our 2020 Jayco 32RLTS from Ricks in Dec 2018. Mike Pilon was our salesman contact, friendly and knowledgeable. We were told a delivery date and it was very close to accurate, not really an issue in that camping in Illinois does not happen generally til May. We were moving from a travel trailer to a fifth wheel and had many questions, they were answered. We had some minor issues with our unit, when we contacted Mike he was able to help us with a few how tos to help us out. We had a few warranty issues that we considered minor and we waited til end of season to address. Took in to Ricks for service, our contact was Di, again very knowledgeable and helpful. She made sure everything we were concerned about was going to be taken care off, gave us an expected return date, kept us informed via phone and texts. We picked our unit up yesterday as promised 11/09/2019 winterized, axles repacked, and all warranty work taken care of. Thanks to Mike, Di, Nick, and Jeff. Could not be happier.
Had a tire blow out on my Seismic 5th wheel which caused quite a bit of damage on the trailer and Marty was awesome, he worked great with our insurance company and took great care of the trailer like it was his own.Tom the Tech was outstanding and did a great job on the repairs as well. Had a wonderful experience with both of them at Ricks and would highly recommend them both and the place for all your RV needs.
Over the top impressed with Rick’s! Great showroom and friendly helpful staff. Great selection of RV’s too. Rick’s squeezed us into their busy Saturday schedule to replace the wiring harness on my horse trailer. I’m forever grateful as we’re from Michigan and we’re bringing a horse back from Illinois. Our salesperson Kurt was outstanding right from the start at the R.V. show in Chicago. He spent a lot of time showing us around the R.V. that we picked out and gave us loads of tips. He explained the history of Ricks and shared some of his own personal experiences as an R.V. owner. Our walk through at Ricks R.V. was done by Ricky and he was very professional, courteous and since he also is an R.V. owner he explained things from his own experience as well as what the books say. Made us very comfortable and let us do some hands on attempts on the new R.V. Kurt and Ricky are two guys that we would like to camp next to and sit by a campfire! The finance team of Dave and Jim were very professional and caring. We will always use Ricks for service and future purchases.
From walking in to walking out we had a tremendous experience at Ricks RV Center. This was our first RV purchase but had been looking for quite a while. Kevin was our sales person he was kind, informative, relaxed and very helpful in every way. He was extremely knowledgable in every single unit we looked at, very friendly and was never pushy, never rushed.Dwayne gave us our demo. I have NEVER owned a travel trailer, when I left Ricks, I was confident I could have camped that night with no problems at all...Dwayne explained everything in perfect detail. We had a great time with Dwayne, great sense of humor very very nice individual. We wanted to know him more..that is how welcome he made us feel.Jim who handled the paperwork side of things was fantastic. Very quick wit which I love...jokes rolled out of his mouth and if you werent paying attention you would miss it!! Loved this guy. He (and everyone) stayed way after hours to get this RV finalized for us and we could not be happier.We came in at about 11am and at 12:30 told them we wanted to take the trailer home today!! If you have ever bought an RV you know there is some work to be done to get them ready to leave the lot. They did it without hesitation. We went to Ricks RV to purchase a smaller travel trailer. Mike Pilon, our eventual salesman, greeted us as soon as we walked in. This was just the start of a terrific experience buying a new travel trailer. Mike understood our needs and showed us several different models to choose. We chose a Jayco X213. It did not take us long to settle on a fair price. We were offered a very fair trade in value for the Prime Time Tracer we owned and signed a purchase agreement. Everyone at Ricks was extremely helpful and professional. When we picked up our new trailer, John from service did a thorough walk thru in our new camping digs. The RV store was well stocked and service there was great. Our time spent at Ricks was a wonderful experience. Ricks RV is a neat, clean and professionally managed RV dealer where the customer feels valued.
I had to have some warranty and other issues dealt with. My original post was an unhappy one.Then Jeff got involved and solved our complaints with diligence and professionalism.Jeff went out of his way to insure my happiness. Not only were the issues dealt with,But his continual contact, and drive to communicate is a real comfort knowing my demands were met.My wife and I had purchased, and traded 2 RVs in the last 3 years, and will continue our patronage at Ricks rv.I thank Jeff at Ricks Rv for keeping this relationship a happy one.
We have purchased 2 RVs through this dealership in the past 2 years. Sales staff is very friendly and helpful (especially Nick) and they follow through with every question or concern that we sometimes have. Service department is also pleasant to work with thus far, and any repairs that were needed have been dealt with in a timely manner and done to our satisfaction. Jayco is a great brand and with this dealership they make a great match!
The people of Ricks RV are awesome! We have had nothing but positive experiences with them. We live in Indiana and find the drive to Joliet worth it. (and its not the easiest drive on the Indiana and Chicago interstates/toll roads)Joe sold us our Jayco trailer and has been professional and fun every step of the way.This week we had a couple of issues and had to visit the service department. Just had a truck cap installed. The purchasing experience was great, but after that everything else, was not very good. The said the cap would be in in 3-4 weeks. I had to call at 4 1/2 weeks, to find out the cap had been in for over a week, they said they called, but we never received any call. We then had to schedule an appointment for about a week later. My wife took the truck in before the scheduled time, but the basic cap install wasnt complete till over 2 hours past the appointment time. The install was only supposed to take 1 hr. They kept my wife waiting with no information or updates, till after she complained to 3 people after 1 hour and 20 minutes. In my opinion dont do any thing here that requires the service department. Our family has done business with Ricks in the past. We will not be buying anything there in the future.

My thanks to him and the dealership for being there for me when I need them! /////After weeks of research of knowing exactly which Jayco trailer I wanted, I contacted Mike @ Ricks RV on Labor Day weekend... and got an actual reply late at night! After him patiently answering my questions and concerns, I drove the 500+ miles from Tennessee to Joliet and picked up my trailer last week. Very welcoming folks there, and a special thanks to Dewayne with the thorough walkthrough! I didnt feel rushed whatsoever, and had a great buying experience. I can attest to the customer service, after having an issue with the trailer an hour away on the interstate... I was taken care of, and advised how to temporarily correct the problem. I did pass other closer dealerships to me, however their pricing AND customer service won me over.
We bought our first camper in 2008. Kevin went out of his way to help us find one that we first timers could handle on our own and also fit into our budget. The next year we went back to Kevin for an upgrade. In 2013 Kevin helped us pick out camper #3. Now I will list the problems we have encountered:#1 The electric jack failed. It was under warranty. Kevin and Jeff found a dealer in the area that could replace it. Saved our vacation!#2 We had electrical issues with the car connection. Jeff sent a serviceman to our storage area to solve the problem. Saved our vacation again.#3. I had a flat tire and the Business Manager arranged for service to take the tire off and then ran copies for me on what kind of torque wrench and sockets I should have on hand. This certainly was not in his job description!#4 Loaded and ready to go on vacation this year. No lights, no turn signals and no running lights. Jeff spent a good 45 minutes tracing the problem and determined that I had 4 blown fuses in the Jeep. Since only Jeep carried these fuses he marked which ones I needed and where I should place them.Id like to add that I was never charged for any of these problems. In summary Id like to say that any knowledgeable person could probably have solved these things on their own but to these two retired ladies they have been a God Sent. In the future I would only do business with Ricks RV, (Namely Kevin, Jeff, that service guy and that business manager)
We currently have a small pop-up camper. We love wandering around Ricks large lot looking at both new and used RVs. They have a large selection and a very friendly staff. They have financing available too. A lot of employees ready to help. They also have a big supply of items to repair or replace items in your camper as well.
This place is amazing!!! Went to another RV place to get the cap fixed on the back of my exs truck, the first place said Id probably have to get a new cap...over 1,000.00 for it he said. Went to Ricks RV, talked to Brian in service dept., he looked at it a few minor tweaks and all locks work!!! My ex left me his truck, he passed away last month, I was worried Id have to change the cap and cost. This business made it to were I could keep his truck fully his, no new cap. I pulled out crying I was so relieved nothing had to be changed. Awesome friendly people. This is the place to go, great ethics for a business! Thank you Brian!

We just purchased a used Jayco from Ricks RV. I cant speak highly enough for the excellent sales process (Paul Froeschle was wonderful!); and the financing and servicing process (Dave Whalen was equally wonderful!). When we picked up the unit, Tom walked through the entire unit with us, which took about 3 hours, nothing about the unit was left out. When we drove away, we knew everything about our unit. After our first trip, we had some servicing done, and everything was done to perfection!!! All of the people at Ricks want to make sure your experience with Ricks is superior!
We cant be thankful enough for all the help and assistance this shop offered us. We are 1st time buyers and were expecting a trick around every corner. But everything was perfect (they even stayed well past work hours for us). Used unit in great condition, for a fear price. They work with Northstar credit union for loans and the interest rate is really good (we actually ended up using this lender later again for truck purchase as well). We got extended warranty/tire protection plan (thankfully, cause we had to use it on 4th of July weekend during drive to Wyoming) for a reasonable price. After our deal was done in February 2018, they allowed us to keep the trailer there till April. We also called back few times in summer for some technical questions and the service department was kind enough to take time and help us out. Special thanks to Kurt in sales, Mike in parts department and Jim in financing.
The sales end of Ricks RV is wonderful, Nick is AWESOME! But I can not say the same for the service side. The service side is horrible. They make it extremely difficult to make service call appointments because it would leave them short staffed in their garage. How is this the customers problem? Oh I forgot, you already have my money. So I guess its my fault. They do not keep their word on returning phone calls. And it does not matter how nice you are to the people in the service department, their attitudes stink. This is not just one occasion, it has been several occasions. Buyers beware!
We had the best experience buying our RV from Ricks. From our salesman Mike..who went over and beyond to make sure everything was right...to Dwyane .. who did alot of the harder work and gave us a great demo...to Jim....the finance man...who took all our money...he did it so quickly...it didnt hurt....and lets not forget the women who can help you with all of your outfitting the rig needs...they were truly helpful...check out their Web page...and skills for Mike...you will not be sorry.
Nice experience! Clean place, lots of stuff. Plenty of staff to help. They did a very nice job on the installation of an ARE custom painted cap for my Titan. Installation took as long as they said it would so I was out the door in no time. I will use them again for sure.
What a great place to buy an RV or a trailer. I have now bought 3 travel trailers from Ricks. I cant say enough good things about this dealer. I feel they have always gone out their way to make sure we are happy with the deal we make. There service after the sale is outstanding and I have told many of my friends this is where you should buy from! I cant wait for the 2015 camping season to start.
While everyone at Ricks smiles and is very polite, it is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I purchased a camper from them and had nothing but problems from day one. Not only were they unable to fix my issues, they put me in danger by lying about it. I had a blown out tire and the top of my pop up lifted up while driving. I brought it back to them and they said they fixed it. They did not and it happened again. When I brought it back AGAIN they finally decided to replace the latches. When I came to pick it up it was STILL incorrect and I had to show the manager why. He agreed with me and fixed it for the 3rd time. They lost the keys to my camper, which they tried to tell me that I had never given them. They finally made me a new set. They lost the latch that secured the slide out and never told me. I found out AFTER I had driven home. When I took the camper on a trip 1 month later (1st time opening it since I had picked it up) I discovered my keys on the floor in the very back of the camper, the latch for the slide out inside the camper on the floor, (why??) and I discovered that they had completely broken the track that permanently secures the canvas to the top of the hard wall of the camper. Had it been broken and pieces of the track been all over the cushions, that would have been one thing. A possible mistake. BUT they cleaned up all the pieces of the broken track! They deliberately tried to hide the fact that they broke my camper while it was in their shop!! They left me with a completely useless pop up and never told me. I had no way to close up the camper. I have never in my life dealt with a more dishonest company.It seems like I had an experience much like Doms without all of the professionalism to try to fix the fact that they didnt know how to do the service work.
On Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend, I arrived at my camper to find the air conditioning was not working on a 96 degree day/weekend. My children and I were disappointed that our camping plans were not going to happen. Dominic arrived at the camp ground at 6:00 to share the news that it was actually broken, but he came prepared to replace it! Within 30 minutes he had the new air conditioner working and saved our weekend plans! THANK YOU, Dominic, for your quick response on a very busy weekend and being prepared to fix the problem. I highly recommend Ricks RV and Dominic when you need service.
Thurs 8/2 we went to make sure camper was working and to pack it for vacation. We had picked it up from service two weeks prior for an exhaust fan in the kitchen and was first time out after that. Kitchen slide would not go out. We panicked as we were leaving 8/3 to go 8 hours away. Nick came out on Friday 8/3 to pick up our camper and take it back for quick service so we would be able to still go on vacation later that night. When they did the fan a cord got pinched when pulling it back in and cut the cord therefore slide would not work on one side. That Friday Nick picked up at 11:30am and they had it fixed by 3pm and we came up to pick it up. Nick is Sales and went out of his way to make sure we were services quickly since my husband was at work and could not bring it up. Thank you so much everyone is always great but Nick did not have to do that that Friday we were very very grateful. Thanks
I purchased a used 2014 Starcraft Autumn Ridge and noticed the rear tires did not appear to line up right. I brought it back and Mike in service did a thorough inspection and said the rear axle needed replaced. They not only replaced the axle with a new one but also all 4 tires and repacked my wheel bearings under warranty. Everyone we have dealt with from our first day of shopping to the taking care of our problem have been extremely friendly and helpful. This is a dealership I know I can trust , thanks Ricks!
Once again I was very satisfied with the work and people at Ricks While on vacation I was having problems with the fridge, I took it to a big RV center and was told a certain price. I got home and took it to Ricks and was told there was nothing but a little cleaning to the back of the fridge that was needed. Saved me a couple hundred bucks. They did an great job at a very fair price.
If youre looking for a camper or RV, Ricks is the place to go. The entire staff is friendly and helpfully. My salesperson Paul Froeschle was excellent SMS very informative. I have recommended several friends who also purchased. Put Ricks RV on your list if youre seriously looking. You wont be disappointed.
On a long road trip from Colorado last Saturday afternoon we lost all 12 volt power in our Aliner popup. We had a full refrigerator that was off. The fact that Rick’s was open on a Saturday when most RV service are closed was evidence of customer care. Diane at the front office got my information and quickly arranged for Pat the tech to check things out. Pat found a loose fuse in the convertor, fixed, checked out other electrical and we are on our way. Fair pricing and a very satisfied customers.
We were looking for bigger camper with more light and more living space. We found a Jayco Jayflight online at Ricks and went up to look at it. Once we walked in we didnt feel it was right for us so Paul our salesman took us to another he thought we would like and it was exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately the one we looked at was already sold but he let us know another one was on order and would be there shortly. We had a 2014 Heartland Northtrail and they gave us a great trade value for it without seeing it. It took about two weeks to get our camper in from the factory but Paul kept us updated along the way and answered any questions we had promptly while we were waiting. We were picking the camper up on the way to a weekend camping trip. Once we got there they took our truck and got our hitch and weight distribution setup and put on a sway controller for us. Dwayne did a great job with our walk through and showing us everything on our new camper. They had it all opened up in the service bay and you can tell they had really went through everything once it arrived from the factory. They had tested everything even the water lines and even had our freshwater full since they knew we were leaving camping after we left there. Dwayne made sure we were comfortable with everything and answered all our questions. His knowledge of campers and the tips he gave us was very impressive. They also hooked us up and pulled the new camper next to the old one so we could transfer our stuff. Once the paperwork was done we were on one way and had a great first run with the new camper. No problems and our weekend was awesome and we love our new camper. I would highly recommend Ricks RV, worth the drive for sure. From the sales to the service we are totally happy with our purchase and look forward to many years with our new camper.
If you want a great RV for a fair price with the best service around, you have to buy yours from Ricks RV. They are honest, kind, and work hard to help you find the layout that fits your needs and budget. I have visited a lot of dealers, but will only buy from Ricks. Also, ask for Kevin.
I really appreciate the work Tom Ewenson did on this repair. He has a good eye for detail and his work was excellent. I also want to give a shout out to Karen and Diane in the Service Department. Diane walked me through the repairs and kept me informed of their progress. Karen was my go-between with Jayco. She was able to get the repairs approved quickly and accurately. Both Karen and Diane demonstrated professional service with a smile!
After viewing an online ad for a used 2014 Jayco 1007, I decided to make the drive fromSt. Louis to Joliet (5-hours). Once there, I was greeted by a salesman, Paul. He was friendly, helpful and professional. He showed me the pop up I was interested in. While passing through the service dept. I met two other employees, Dwayne and Dominic, who were friendly and helpful as well. Everyone I met there, including the owner and Jim, made it a positive experience. Im glad I traveled to Ricks RV Center to purchase my first camping trailer.

We purchased our first RV from Ricks and when we went back to upgrade two years later the staff were obnoxious and treated us like it wasnt worth their time. We did a lot of comparison pricing with our second purchase and were embarassed by how badly we let ourselves get ripped off. There is high staff turnover and they either have a high pressure salesperson hounding you or you are ignored. We personally found the best deal at Holiday Hour in DeKalb, IL and we have purchased 2 brand new travel trailers from them and getting ready to finally upgrade to Class A or Class C which would have been at Ricks had the staff not been so inconsistent and the prices ridiculously overpriced!!!! Shop around, they sell the highest volume, but have the highest prices??? They just get way too greedy with their commission, but i guess as long as people are willing to throw away their money thats on them. We usually go there to scout the Jayco inventory and then order what we want from the other dealer because Ricks has a huge inventory so you can see all of your options in one place.
Where do we begin... top notch, best in the Midwest! We just purchased our 4th (yes 4th) RV from Ricks RV. Started small, gradually got bigger, and now we are retired and full timers, purchased our mother of all fifth wheels, Jayco Pinnacle front living. Love the layout, feels like a home, just what we wanted! Let’s talk about Ricks RV... Paul our go to sales rep is the most awesome guy, found our dream home for us, actually he changed our life by selling us our very first baby rv. We are truly happy campers. Wowie Zowie! What a pleasant experience. Service consultant Diane worked to insure that my furnace problem was properly addressed. In addition, Ricky the magical technician isolated and then corrected the malfunction. My motor home was ready well in advance of the projected completion date. As always another positive experience at Rick’s RV.

Bought our used Jayco pop-up at Ricks three years ago. Had so much fun, we decided to upgrade. Went back to Ricks this month and Kurt (our salesman) was just as helpful as last time. We got a great deal on a Jayco x23f. They made sure all our questions got answered and even gave us a few extras, like a starter kit, with their special December sale. I feel like anyone I talk to there can be trusted to give an honest answer and they are committed to customer service.

I bought my first Jayco Hummingbird 17rb in July. Joe Farkas was so patient and understanding with my new learning experience. Bought 3 travel trailers from this dealer. Our last rv was bought new. Nothing but structural problems. Within the first few weeks of owning this trailer it spent more time being repaired then being used for camping. Floor torn up only to find bent bolts holding the floor together. After another repair the fiberglass had to be replaced due to there service department over tightening the screws. Now we have a bent floor joist which is causing the floor to collapse and the slideout to dip. We begged and tried telling Ricks Rv that this camper was a lemon and that its not normal for this many repairs. They brushed us off and said that these types of bugs are to be expected. Well great now I have a camper Im making payments on with a collapsing floor. Guess its just a bug that needs to be worked out!!!!! NEVER will I give my business to this dealer.
I feel compelled speak about the great experience we have had in dealing with Ricks Rv. My wife and I did a great deal of research and once we felt like we had a good idea of what it we wanted we headed to the RV Show in Rosemont. We spoke with several different dealers who all had great deals but it was Jim from Ricks that took the time to really ask us what it is we wanted the trailer for. He pulled out his books to find out about my truck, details on the trailer, the hitches, etc. This man was not trying to sell us a camper he was legitimately looking to help us find the right one.We ended up buying a Jayco White Hawk, when we picked it up the service department took me over everything and I mean everything...set up/tear down, dewinterizing/winterizing, towing, truck settings, braking systems.Then the closing was one the smoothest I have I experienced. Jim had ever thing in order and was very knowledgeable. He even had the most common issues highlighted in the manuals.Now its July and I have an issue with the camper. So I call Ricks Rv and Jim calls me back right away.. While we are talking I realize he is at home not in the office, folks that is dedication. Jim tells me to call him tomorrow when I am at the camper so we can figure this issue out. I call him today and he has me facetime him so we can figure out if the issue is small or if I have to bring the trailer in. Jim takes the time to go out in the 90 degree heat to find a similar trailer to mine on the lot so we have a reference. We are able to figure out the issue and this saves me from driving 60 miles plus not having to waste a day off.For anyone out there looking to buy an RV, I strongly recommend Ricks Rv. Remember every dealer sells RVs but its the service after the purchase that is going to count in the long run.

Mike offered great customer service by answering all my questions and concerns about this camper which I greatly appreciated.
We were traveling from Az. to a wedding in Illinois, when our AC went out.Jeff Pilon took extra steps to repair the AC as well as find and repair a major propane leak. Im going to try to make a very long story short. With this new virus and all of the health issues in my family we found the need to separate. I texted Ricks RV. In text its often times very difficult to gauge how the other person is responding. I knew immediately that the person on the other end of that text cared. I was very concerned about being out in a public place. Mike handled everything he could in a professional,cautious,courteous and caring way. If this is how they are in a time of crisis. I cant imagine the caring being any greater when where out of crisis. I would recommend Ricks RV to everyone and anyone I meet. Thank you to all of you!
Excellent service!!! We bought a used 2006 leprechaun rv and we cannot be more exstatic! We received the best service ever!!! Especially Rick V in the demonstration of our rv!! He was so nice and gave an excellent demonstration and explained everything would definitely refer people to you all!!!!
My parents and I hired a new RV (not of Rickss RV), after a few miles we had minor weaknesses. The mechanic fixed the heater and the stove without even touching it! He also fixed one of the mirrors which become loose. We are very satisfied with the fast and good service of Ricks RV Center!! Thankyou guys keep on going!! Grts the Dutch.

2022-02-23I ordered a truck topper through Ricks. I was very pleased with the price, the quality of the cap, and the installation. I also appreciated the knowledge of the salesman, Bryan, regarding my truck. (My truck has bed rails that are prone to leak, which Bryan knew about and sealed during the installation of the cap.) I highly recommend Ricks RV.

2022-03-04I bought my first RV here in Dec2020. Paul was amazing at making sure that I was prepared for what I was getting into. I never felt like he was just selling me. Jim really helped me with the purchasing process as well. I really appreciated that they schedule time to go over everything in my new RV so that I would know how to take care it.I went back in Oct 2021. I needed an oil change for my chaisse and for my generator. I was really impressed that everyone remembered me. I mentioned an issue with my hot water heater and they made sure to look at it and repair it.

2022-04-05Every time we take our travel trailer in for any maintenance or service at Rick’s RV, we are treated like royalty! Our most recent visit to have it de-winterized and the bearings packed was no exception. Diane took great care of us during drop off and pick up! They said they needed to keep it for 2 weeks, but we were able to pick it up within a week! There’s a reason we bought the trailer from Rick’s RV, which was there customer service, and they have not disappointed us! From sales to service, Rick’s RV is a great place to purchase an RV!!

2022-04-29I have been very happy with Ricks ever since we purchased our camper. The spring I brought the camper in to have the spring check up done and our service person was Rick. Rick was very helpful and very friendly throughout the whole experience the spring. 2022-06-15Our family was heading out west for a 2 week trip. Our camper blew a tire. We wanted to get another spare for back up. We called all over! No one had it or any ideas of who might.We called Rick’s RV and Kurt back in parts and supply was amazing! He looked if he had it and called me back to tell me he didn’t but he could check with their supplier. He called me back again with great news! They had a tire! We called the supplier and we went to get it. The lady running running the tire shop was so great! She got the tire ready for us, checked all our other tires and matched all their psi. This even gave me time to make sandwiches out of the back of the car a d got us back in the road!!!Thank you Rick’s and Kurt for saving the day!!!

2022-05-02We brought our travel trailer in for a slide out repair. Ricks went above and beyond to make sure we were updated with pictures while fixing the slide. We are happy they were able to do the work in a shorter time frame than originally told. Jeff, Mike, Marty and their technicians went above and beyond to make sure the work done exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend Ricks for service needs!
