So, lst year i was flying to Daytona out of Moline... And i was running a little behind. Totally my fault. I use a modobag rideable suitcase. TSA all of a sudden found it interesting enough just long enough to hold me up to miss my flight. They were just looking at it..not doing anything with it.Today i went through TSA.. they didnt look twice at it.It is my bad for giving them the ammunition to mess with me. I learned my lesson.
This is a small but great airport. Ive flown in and out of this airport numerous times since 2003. Dont expect 24 hour food and beverage since Covid, but the two outlets have good fare when open. People are friendly and helpful. Its a breeze getting to your flight and baggage claim. Its small but efficient, secure, and clean.
Horrible, I had 7 people in front of me in security and it took 30 min. to get through. Then got on American Airlines flight only to deboard and have the flight canceled. Took standing in 3 different lines 2 hours to get rebooked to the next afternoon and NO compensation was given. Worse serveice ever.
The quad cities international airport is a nice midsize airport to get in and out very easily. It is very clean and everyone here is very friendly. It makes travel so much easier to be able to get in and out with the friendly faces. I would recommend flying in here if you can.
6/12/2022 update: This morning, the gate agent did not announce the destination city and the flight info was displayed on the adjacent gate. I heard many people ask if this flight was going to Atlanta. You would think the gate agent would have gotten the hint. Otherwise, the airport remains conveniently sized for me.MLI is clean, open & airy, with wide corridors - very nice.
Very friendly TSA agents and security screening was painless. Airport is small and fairly well accommodated to passengers. My only complaint is there was NO ONE to talk with about flights, boards for flights were not easily accessible, and the flight agents were not helpful. I know the airport cant control that but Id push harder for a customer service network. Also note that amenities as far as hotels and restaurants is terrible for the area. Good place for connecting flights as its simple, but not a good place to stay overnight.
50% of late day United flights get cancelled. United pull planes and crews when needed from here as its unwanted child. Airfares are predatory too when its the only direct flight. Not much for food. Uber destroyed transportation, killed off the few taxis, and late no Ubers may be working. Security and parking are a breeze and 5 stars and everyone is always nice.
If you have not traveled through the QC Airport recently, you are missing out. Not only do they have competitive flight pricing to all airports in the area (including large airports), they have taken all necessary safety and health precautions in the airport which makes you feel safe to travel. Their employees are kind and helpful, making travel fun. THANK YOU!
After years of living in the Quad Cities, I finally became a passenger using this airport for a trip to Florida. While the airport is small, it has a modern look with all the amenities any traveler would need. I cant wait for my next trip. This is a cozy little airport to fly from. It even has a public art gallery between the concourse and the terminal.
Very small International Airport. Lots of John Deere equipment on display. Easy to get through whether departing or arriving. Rental car location is right inside the terminal. I have flown out of here when there has been no power during a storm and they were very kind and accommodating.
KMLI is a nice airport well laid out with 3 runways and good taxiways. WARNING-----be sure to review the HOTSPOTS. 3 intersecting runways, not too complicated but be aware. FBO and tower located on south side away from the commercial side. The FBO is nice with available wifi and nice flight planning area. Bathrooms at the FBO were immaculate. HOWEVER, the price of fuel was OUTRAGOUS for 100LL. Best to stop at a smaller airport before arriving and fuel up then top off @ KMLI. The courtesy car was clean and the girl @ the counter wan very courteous.
Everyone here is so friendly and helpful!! Love the calm and easy going atmosphere, definitely a lot easier to navigate than Ohare!! We also appreciated the lady there this morning who helped us with our luggage as we were traveling with two small children, it really helped us out more than you know! A huge thank you to her, and all the staff there that made our travels go so smoothly!! We will definitely be flying from the QC Airport again!!
For someone being used to flying out of O’Hare I find it incredible how flawless check-in goes here. It’s like your the only person there and you never need to wait in line since it’s your turn at the desk, security, and to board. I took off in under 30 min from being dropped off something impossible at a major airport.I just rarely decide on departing here. I usually fly international and anything requires flying to O’Hare first anyway +$400 it just doesn’t even make sense... oh well.
Neat, clean and easy to navigate. Nice little small town airport. No real places to eat (although this is understandable given the size). The TSA crew here is really friendly but perhaps a little too over zealous. I had to be patted down and I was surprised how aggressive they are with getting right up in your business.
Ive been through the Quad City International Airport several times, whether for a flight out or picking up friends and family. Ive also flown out of the airport in a small 4 seater lots of times too.Ive never had any problems here. Usually get checked right in and through security quickly. There are screen everywhere indicating incoming and outgoing flights, and its easy to navigate from gate to gate once you get past security. There are souvenir shops and concession once you get through security so grab yourself something to read, grab a snack and enjoy your flight!
Thanks to the staff at Delta for getting my boarding pass issues straight when it didnt read at the TSA check point. Thanks to the TSA officials who made calls letting the gate attendant know of the issues and thanks to the gate attendant that accommodated me. Job well done when it all was seemed lost... Many thanks...
This has got to be the single slowest tsa/security I have ever been through. It took over an hour to get through security for my 6 am flight. You could tell the agents didn’t care that there were a dozen plus people that missed their flights because of how slow they were. Terrible, terrible service and because the airline was not at fault my options were limited on what I could do to get to my end destination. At best this poor service cost me an entire work day!!
I flew into this airport only due to the fact that I could get the cheapest tickets from Florida. I was traveling to Ames IA, which is about 3 hours away. This airport is small, but extremely convenient. Everyone I met was very friendly (including all the TSA employees!). The only issue I had was a very slow rental car counter. Other than that minor problem, I couldnt have been more pleased!
A nice, well located airport with service from American, Delta, United and Allegiant. Many hub cities have direct flights with multiple daily choices. The building is not new, but roomy. There is also an efficient TSA PreChek and the security staff is pleasant but thorough.
The airport itself is terrific. It is very clean, never busy, and everyone that works here is nice. My only issue came with transportation leaving the airport. I was there to visit a relative seven miles away from the airport. It was a weekday and arrived at the airport at 9pm. I first tried Uber. The cost was going to be $11.00. I waited thirty minutes and no Uber drivers were available. The airport was slow at this time of the evening so there was no excuse to not have someone available. In short, if you are counting on an Uber, forget it. Next I decided I would rent a car. I didn’t like this option because I would drive it to the hotel and park it until I was ready to come back. They have four car rental agencies. Two of the agencies stated they didn’t have any cars available. The third agency wanted $244 for three days and the fourth wanted $300 for three days. I then asked about taxi’s. I was led to a board that offered three companies. The first one I called stated they don’t service the area. Why do they advertise here then? The second one I called went to voicemail. The third company answered and sent someone out. For a seven mile trip, they charged me $37.50. That is ridiculous. In short make sure you have your transportation worked out. The best option is to have your family or friends pick you up if possible.
Generally not crowded and easy to get in and out of. Extremely rude and smart mouthed ticket agent ruins the experience completely. I fly nearly every week and Ive never encountered such a rude employee as the one at American Airlines ticket counter. TSA searched my bag on the way in (happens often - no biggie), but failed to put my lock back on. I simply asked my ticket agent if there was a process to file a claim or how I handle that. The ticket agent next to her takes the opportunity to tell me that there is, in fact, a way to handle it. I should go to the gift shop and purchase a new one. Its not like they have a stock of locks laying around. My ticket agent was as appalled as I was. This idiot needs to be working somewhere else...
A small airport so easy to get around since you can see from the first gate to the last. When I was there, my departure flight never got listed as to which gate I was suppose to leave from. Since it is small, I was able to figure it out by process of elimination, but that should not have been the case.
What a great little airport to service the Quad Cities. We travel often and have been through our share of airports, both domestic and international. MLI is easy to enter and exit. Fast and inexpensive parking, even for a few weeks. I really like the cell phone parking lot so you can easily wait out a few minutes without going into the main parking lot. And, most of the TSA even smile while doing their jobs.
For a small regional airport (international? seriously?) its perfectly fine - and its clean, has free WiFi, snacks, etc. However (and Im waffling between taking off 1 or 2 stars for this), why, for the love of all that is good and holy, do they insist on piping in a horrible 80s pop soundtrack? Im here waiting for a delayed flight (which is not their fault) and Im seriously disturbed by the assault on my eardrums (which is definitely their fault) by Wham.
This airport is very easy to navigate and was one of my favorites to fly thru while in the Midwest. You will not go wrong while flying into Quad City especially if you plan on going to destinations such as Chicago and you do not want to deal with all the traffic in the airport.
I hate to leave a bad review since all the people I interacted with at MLI were very professional and kind but the airport operations were really lacking, causing a one hour delay before take-off after boarding. We were the only flight leaving at that point in the evening, the temperature was below zero and the pilot requested a de-icing wash before take-off. It took approximately 60 minutes to get a de-icing truck. First the pilot announced that the de-icing truck radio was inaccessible and a half hour later when the truck arrived there was a hose malfunction, we had to wait on a back up truck. Nearly everyone on the flight missed their connections due to the delay. I think there should have been a higher level of readiness.
There was nobody working there when I went in to get my ticket and information for my flight. The person I ask said I cant help you. And I needed to find someone else to answer my questions. This person worked for America Airline he was not helpful at all and rude. They need to work on their customers service.
They literally don’t even salt the runways in the winter so the chance of your flight getting canceled is very high. It’s small and TSA is literally like 3 people so if it’s a big flight you’ll have a long line. They hire more people to stand outside and yell at people parking than they do inside to help anyone. This airport is an embarrassment
I was flying back to school and was stripped searched, had my luggage taken because of a personal item, then waited twenty minutes for the rent-a-cop to stop lecturing me over a womans right. Honestly, this is the worst airport I have ever been to. I would not recommend coming here.
Dont attempt to go thru this place with seasoning. That pepper and spices are dangerous, and they will put Molines finest into action to search everything because of it. Despite confiscating my seasoning, they let me keep the packaging, which contained, yup, seasoning. Must not have been too dangerous after all if Im allowed trace amounts.... Ive flown into every major airport in this country, many small ones. This airport is the biggest joke of them all.
Electric vehicle chargers in short term parking. 1 of 4 actually works. Glad at least one worked since I arrived with 4 miles left on my range. However blocked by gas powered vehicles parked over lines and in clearly marked electric vehicle only spots.Lead officer says due to 3 of the chargers being inoperable, gas vehicles can occupy spots without issue which clearly shows the lack of care for those needing these charging stations to make it back after flight home.Highly disappointed. Poor upkeep and clear lack of care for specific customers makes me be sure to look at Peoria airport for future travel.
For the last two trips into MLI our gate wasnt ready upon arrival and so Ive sat on a plane on the tarmac for about 1.5 hr total...How is that possible when theres less than a dozen gates?...It takes longer for me to go through security in this airport than in larger airports such as DTW...how is that possible?...dont fly through MLI it you have an option.

2021-09-24Today’s adventure is taking me from home in Iowa (well technically Illinois) to Fiddletown, California. My next adventure on this journey we call life is on officially underway. Not that my new Boss and I haven’t been hard at it the past 60 days or so mind you. However, it is actually “real” now.I’m moving from the Midwest to the Golden State of California. I was initially retained as a consultant in relation to a new opioid addiction treatment facility. After consulting for a period of time, the physician establishing the new facility and system of rehabilitation approached me asking if I would consider the possibility of being the Program Director. Consider it??!!?? Please, no brained for me!!The facility will utilize a system of rehabilitation that is not 12-Step based. The facility will provide intensive residential services in a beautiful setting in the mountains of Northern California. We chose the location that will house 4-6 residents at a time due to a belief that going to rehab does not need to be gloomy nor clinical in feel or look.Over the next two months Jeff and I plan on a daily post on our various social media accounts. These posts will allow you to share our journey as we open a new opioid rehabilitation center. Please join us starting next week as we head towards December and the opening if our center! Please wish us well!!

2022-06-05By far the easiest airport Ive ever flown out of. For a smaller airport they do an amazing job. Terminals are clean and parking is very reasonably prices with 2 great hotels next door. In the future I would definitely use this facility for any of my air travel needs

2022-04-12Small crowd, easy access, checking smooth, gate check simple, polite all through the process. Dont forget to watch the CDC National rules. Masks required at all times in terminals or plane. Now lets see if my car is still in one piece in long term parking when I return.

2022-04-10Not a huge airport like some others but what it lacks in size it gains in reliability. The most efficient and hospital airport Ive ever been to. Its very easy to park and you dont have to walk miles to the terminal.

2022-03-07This place absurdly books itself as an International Airport. This is Far from it. Regional perhaps. The only food option, past security is weak selection of sandwiches and a few beers.I just spent several hours there, (Not the airports fault) because of delayed flights. REAL food would have been nice.Otherwise, its not horrible, but is Absolutely Not an International airport

2022-03-30Anytime I’m in MLI, it’s always a treat. The staff are friendly, security is fast and efficient. And since the airport isn’t big, getting a rental car is very easy.

2022-03-10Small, single terminal operation, the TSA lines move fairly quickly. The staff are great, very serviceable and welcoming. Not a lot of food options.
