QDOBA Mexican Eats in other cities:
Went to QDOBA to grab a couple beers with some cheap eats. Turns out the beer was a no go as nobody over the age of 21 on staff during a Friday at 7pm. Settled for a soda and got the habanero brisket nachos. The food was good but they skimped on the brisket a bit. Ill be back but likely just for lunches.
Sure its a chain and everything... but the food here is really good. The best part of this place, though, is the staff. Theyre always super friendly, helpful, and fun. They seem to be really well run. The queso is amazing. I usually get the Craft 2, with a naked queso burrito and tacos. Kids eat free on the weekends, which is a great deal for my family.
Been coming here for years. I really love the fact that I can use the whole wheat tortilla as a lower carb option and add veggies and protein without going over my micros. Its a good option if youre looking for something quick to grab and you dont have any meal prep on hand.
The staff always friendly and helpful. The restaurant has always been very clean when I have gone. I have never used the restrooms so not sure how clean they are but the rest of the place is clean. The food is always good and made just the way I want it. You can watch them put your order together to make sure it is exactly how you want it. One of my favorite places to go.
Similar concept to Chipotle with a lot more flavor. I was with a group of four and everyone had something different and said they enjoyed it. I had the veggie tacos which were delicious. Their ingredients are very fresh. Service is quick and courteous. Cafeteria-style service. A few outdoor tables. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because their menu board promotes their Impossible protein-based bowls and tacos, which I wanted to try, but they didnt have the Impossible meat available. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Qdoba is always a good meal, so its hard not to like the place! Staff seems fairly friendly from the handful of times Ive been there. I also really appreciate the fact that they have a slightly discounted meal deal for college students at Bradley University! Its a nice way to help out financially-struggling college students AND its nice to have a meal thats not Ramen for once!
This place has such a good selection and has mastered the combination of speed with food quality with customer friendliness. Then they revamped their menu and look as a business. When I fist went in after the change, it was amazing, it was so clean in there and the food was of such good quality. Tried Chipotle, never going back.
Not sure whats going on here, but the last couple times Ive been in were less than stellar. Parking lot was a total sheet of ice 3 days after snow - no attempt to salt had even been made to the sidewalks. Service was really slow. Food was great. Went in to use the bathroom and decided I didnt really need to that bad - they were atrocious. Hopefully things improve quickly.
Food is great. Love the Gladiator Knockout tacos. My family of 4 used to order from here at least a couple times a month. It was great, we could place our order online and pick it up. Saved a lot of time. Unfortunately for months now every time I try to order it says the East Peoria location is offline. It takes them off the dinner list. Would love to get food from here again but I need the online option.
Loved the mini burrito bowl. Still enough to more than fill you up. The manager and staff were friendly and interactive. Had a rough crowd in front of me and the manager tried to be funny, well I thought she was, but the guy in front of me did not. The manager handled the best she could. Love the queso!!! Always easy to get in and out for quick bite!
Management is going through a change, and the store will be doing a lot better here very soon.Edit: While things looked up for a while when old managment stepped out, I am sad to say this location needs to discontinue its business until the store can meet code and properly follow COVID19 regulations in the State of Illinois and under FDA regulations. Do not eat here, for reasons I must report to the state and FDA before saying here. The food might look good, but is not within public health code standards. You would be putting your health and the health of everyone it is you care for at risk by eating here. Trust me, as an employee who just quit so he was not contributing to these public health issues through their continued mismanagement and operation plus with being a prior enforcer of FDA and Illinois State Food Code - I more than know what I am speaking about. I am sorry to regulars and Bradley University Students, this must be hard to hear.
First time going there so wasnt familiar with the process. The server seemed agitated. They had no guacamole made and when we asked for sour cream, she said she would have to go to the back to get some, but the attitude was not very pleasant. Maybe we caught her on a bad day? Food was okay.
While I love Qdoba, I hated my experience today. Beans, rice, and chicken were cold. Asked for Diablo queso and they said we dont have any and I had to ask if they just needed to go get it, or if the store was out, or if they stopped making it. They were also out of bacon. Their drink station was a mess! There was ice everywhere, you couldnt put a cup in the cup slot if you wanted. They were out of cherry and cherry vanilla flavors. There were no forks, no napkins, and the floor was a mess. Waited to get a napkin to eat my meal. Limes were rotten and smelled bad, there was no time sticker on them. The staff was rude. When I asked for fresher chips they said mid shift checked and didnt make any more so Im not going to. Highly disappointed. (Ive been to a Qdoba roughly 15 times in the last 7 months, so I know this is unusual for a Qdoba)
I had not been here before I wish I would have been very authentic reminds me of being a Mexico I had a big burrito with pork and beef brisket rice beans cilantro three different types of cheeses it was very very good and better not it was very awesome coworker had some vegetarian thing she said it was very good their homemade sauce salsa and chips are very good too I will definitely be coming back to this place again whenever Im in the area working close by
Qdoba has really good food and this location has some of their best employees. Generous portions. Recommend asking them to grill burritos. Kids eat free on weekends and on Tuesdays your loyalty card earns double points. Besides this they are constantly offering free/discount specials to loyalty members. They always take excellent care of the customer here and they embrace those of us who are constantly trying to use technology for loyalty cards, gift cards, discounts, payments, etc. This location also has great (highly performant) free WiFi.
I have only ate here twice. First time was a good experience no complaints on food ,service or price. Today was not the best .In a hurry to work kids working there all in line getting food free ! On top of that they are drawing smile faces with sour cream on containers while working behind the line as Im paying for mine! I was still polite and said please and thank you . If East Peoria QUDOBA was my store id be disappointed . Cheap labor is hard to find but acting professional , having manners, dealing with the public and having pride in your work is priceless .
Not sure what happened. Food was great as always but service was not the best. Whole new crew? Definitely not the usual Saturday night staff and my goodness, if youre that unhappy working here...please let someone else have the opportunity. Not crazy this time around, first time Ive had to say that.
We came from out of town and needed to eat. We went to Qdoba at 8:15pm and they were already cleaning and outting away food for the 9pm close. Food was ok not as good as Qdoba in Lake Geneva. By the time we got back to the hotel to call and complain they were closed. We are very disappointed.
First time eating at the East Peoria location in a few years. Ordered 2 steak burritos via DoorDash app. Had a total of 5 pieces of steak niblets total from both burritos. Unreal, wont trust to order online or on an app again. Maybe someday Ill give them another chance, but only in person. Also they put soup in cardboard containers ensuring that by the time you are gome, it will be fooking everywhere.
Much more cramped than the Peoria location. Very hard to get seating around lunch time on the weekdays due to the Caterpillar facilities nearby. They have free kids meals on either Saturday or Sunday, cant remember which. That is a nice bonus vs the Peoria location. One of our few restaurants we visit regularly. We normally get either the vegetarian burrito or the quesadilla with beans. They will wrap the kids burrito bowl in a tortilla if you ask them.
Awful service!! Stephanie the manager was beyond rude and acted like we were bothering her by coming in and ordering food! If I could rate this place a zero I would! We will never be back to East Peoria Qdoba bc of the manager! 😡 Im literally floored at how we were treated today!!
Qdoba is by far my favorite restaurant. It has been for many years. Ive tried places like Moes and Chipotle and they never stacked up. The chicken is my favorite, with brisket coming in close second. Chipotle is always dry and not much flavor, and after Moes made my stomach get queasy (and I dont get sick) Ill never return. Qdoba is friendly and clean, they even go so far to throw away trash and/or remake burritos and such if it didnt turn out all right.
The Impossible Meat option for any dish at Qdoba is a game changer, an entirely plant based meat alternative that has the texture and flavor of meat but is not real meat. Brought to you by the makers of the Impossible Burger, Qdoba has applied their kitchen skills to give their Impossible Meat a south of the border spin. It is delicious, and a wonderful way to celebrate your Meatless Mondays!
The staff was dry not pleasant at all..was not a delight to be there ...it smelled horrible by the restrooms...the cashier man spoke to me as if I couldnt afford a soda to get free kids meal...I was charged three dollars for extra steak on my nachos because the lady put only four pieces on it ..I probably will not come back

2021-12-11I used to stay in Qdoba EP bc I loved the food. I havent eaten here much lately and am not real sure I want to go back. At 7pm, they were out of numerous items: brown and whit rice was low...had to scrape it from bottom of pan. There was a wait for chicken, steak, fajita vegetables, queso was gone. Also the soda dispenser was out of order. The staff that was there at the time lacked a sense of urgency(was not bothered that there was a line forming behind me and that we were all waiting for items that were running out/gone. Packaging was rough also. They had no lids for the burrito bowls or the larger queso bowls;they instead toped them with aluminum foil. I just did not have a great time on this visit. To top it off, my queso wasnt even good...😒

2022-06-18We were in town for a tourney. My kid loves Q-Doba. But just walking in I had this feeling. The 2 ladies were great, downfall was flies flying around, dead ones in the tins that werent being used in front so customers can see them. The rice wasnt fully cooked, and I think I got like 10 pieces of shredded lettuce in my bowl and way over did the cheese. My kid couldnt even eat her bowl of food due to the issues.

2022-04-25PLEASE PLEASE RECOGNIZE the two employees who worked yesterday by themselves. I didnt want to bother them to get their names but I am sure you know who they are.Sunday after church we were looking for a place for lunch, we hadnt had very pleasant experiences with Chipotle since COVID but thought we would give it one more try, as it was on our way to our next errand. We got there and there was a note on the door that said that due to a staff shortage, they were only accepting mobile orders and pick up. Even after seeing the note we popped our head in and asked the 4 employees standing around (taking a break because they just got over a mobile rush) with no customers in the building if they couldnt take our order as we do not have the mobile app and I didnt want to take the time to download it and order online. They said no. Yet another mark against why we havent eaten there since COVID!We then went to Qdoba in East Peoria where we saw more cars in the parking lot than ever before, we walked in to a line more than halfway to the door, and people sitting down enjoying their meal. Behind the counter, there were only TWO PEOPLE working!! But they were working diligently to get people through the line. I mean these two employees were on point, the line was a little slow but they kept it steadily moving all while being very polite, apologetic, and very efficient. I felt bad for them and really wanted to go behind the counter and just do ingredient refills and clean up behind them, restock the supplies in the dining room and wipe tables down; my husband wouldnt let me, but I wanted to. Anyway, they did not lose any customers and I think everyone there was very grateful for their hard work and determination! I know we thanked them several times. We ate in the dining room and watched as more people came and they just kept plugging away, finally, they had a few minutes of no customers where they could refill, clean, and breathe! Please recognize these two employees for keeping your doors open and serving your customers in a very polite and proficient way! These are dedicated employees who took on all the business I am sure Chipotle gave up!! Thank you!

2022-07-04Was having a rough 4th of July until one of the workers at the Qdoba in East Peoria, Il greeted us at the door with a smile, listened intently to our orders and gave us large helpings of each item, and then proceeded to pay for our food himself. Some of the best, most generous service I’ve ever received at any restaurant. The workers were more than happy to serve us and make our days a little bit better. Definitely made my day.

2022-06-18When we entered the establishment the lady said Hello to us all which was awesome However, that was the extent of the communication . The food was good, which made up for the lack of common courtesy

2021-03-31Review Date: January 6th, 2012Q’doba. The very first stop on my Travel List.A brief telling of how my travels came to be. With Q’doba being my first place visited on my Travel List, it seems fitting to share for those who don’t know. The year was 2011. The location was my job. The setting was boredom. My train of thought wandered to how I haven’t seen a lot of the things to see in Chicago and St. Louis. I started a list of things to do those cities and fast forward 8+ years and I’ve been to 550+ unique places. Q’doba has the distinction of being the first.Cassey, Danielle, Tim, Matt and I made dinner plans shortly after the start of the new year and to start off my traveling adventures. We descended upon Q’doba with no idea what fun was to be had this evening. We all approached the counter and Danielle had to help me order as I was completely new to the experience. Oh, how innocent and clueless I was back then. Still am clueless but better at ordering food at restaurants. It took awhile for all of us to get through the food assembly line as it was mostly a new experience for us all and it was dinner time.Once we had our food, we sat down and the shenanigans began. This was a night to remember. Or try to remember 8 years later. As we sat there and ate our food, we told many jokes, riffed on each other and laughed until our faces and sides hurt. I have some videos that I recorded from this dinner but those are a bit more personal than I would like to share. Trust me when I said it was a fun group having maximum fun.Enough of that. How was the food? It was good! I haven’t been back since 2012 but I do remember the food being really good and wondering why I hadn’t been there sooner since I drove by and still drive by this place all the time. What I ordered is a memory lost to time but I remember being sufficiently stuffed afterwards. If you like to order food and watch it be made right in front of you while you dictate the toppings (think of Subway), then you will like Q’doba. The amount of food you can have them stuff in a tortilla wrap is very surprising while the price is equally surprising and very affordable.Q’doba, thank you for being the first place I visited and starting me down a path of shenanigans, exploration, discoveries, and memories. Maybe Q’doba will be your starting point in exploring the world.

2021-12-15Not only did I order ahead of time for a specific pickup time, I had to wait for 30 minutes once I got there with my dog in the car. After 2 people that ordered online were served along with the line that just walked in, they found out that they didnt have my order at all (but I was charged). They had to take a picture of my order and wouldve forgotten my brownie if I hadnt checked. The only reason why I gave it 2 stars was because the food was good.
