Great space, ample pool tables kept in good shape. If you want to have a few brews and play a few games, you cant go wrong here

I was there at a Benefit for an old Friend and co-worker. Atmosphere was nice. People were friendly. Drinks were good. Food was good. Only had a Cheeseburger & Fries, but like I said it was pretty good. Had a really great time. 👍
Nice place good food.Backroom for bands could use more lower tables. Only a few and not everyone can sit at those high chairs. Id like to see more lower tables near band because I am a dancer.but.......Ill d back.
We were really rushed by the bartender the last time we were here. Hadnt been here since 2017. Place used to be fine but its gotten way busier. If you like things to do in a bar this place is it. Theyve got Cornhole, darts, basketball hoops, pool tables, even slots.
Great place to hear live music. The guitar player for Chaometry was absolutely amazing. Great band.
This place is pretty awesome. I visited on a Friday and surely had a blast. Aside from Billiards, they have giant Jenga, Beer Pong, a mini arcade, a dance floor and a bar, not to mention the live DJ. The food was great and their patio area is also quite spacious, will revisit again. Thank you!

Albeit a little pricey, overall the service is very good. The bartenders know how to make most drinks and dont mind making things on the fly and usually do it correctly. Very friendly and safe for those who want a place that is strict on their safety, especially during a pandemic. The only downside is currently they are only accepting cash and all bar ATMs are service charge happy. I wish they would let people know up front on the website/Facebook page. All in all, a nice spacious location with attentive staff.
I occasionally come to this bar with some friends from the area. If you are a regular at this bar, you’ll have the perfect service and strong drinks. Even on busy nights, the service is so quick! Mina is an incredibly great waitress! Q is so lucky to have her!

I love coming to this place and have been coming with friends except the last 2 times I went I had to wait at least 30mins between drinks, either they are under staffed or they dont appreciate their job, the waitresses need to be around more often.
Stopped into the place last night for a friends resignation celebration. I had another friend performing in their concert section which was away from everything else. The waitress for our table was hard of hearing, I placed an order for food which was the tenders with tots, onion rings and a side salad. She asked me my name (Cory) but ours down Dave. No big deal as long as she has my order correct. she asks me for a card to hold on to (the place is cash only by the way) and I give her one. I then asked for it back and she gives me another person’s card named Cory and I tell her it’s the wrong one and then goes back and forth with me about me telling her my name is Cory. Hilarious. I go and get cash from their atm and come back to pay her, my bill is 22.87, I gave her $40. She gives me back 16. I triple counted just to make sure I thought maybe she would owe me $17 but she says she gave me $18, I count it out for her snd she swears that she gave me $18. Keep in mind I haven’t reach in my pocket, I am standing right next to her and I have counted at this point 6 times, 4 for myself and 2 for her. She finally gives me $2 back as if I wanted to steal money from her and because the service was so terrible I have her $4 no thank you or anything. Food comes 30 minutes later and it’s cold, they drop the plates off and keep going, the waitress doesn’t come around for another 30 minutes and she asks how is everything I told her everything is cold minus the salad which it was supposed to be she says “oh, can I get you anything else?” I wanted so bad to tell her yes lady... hot food but at that point our crew had enough of her. The food would have been amazing had it been hot. I would give this place another try but it would not be with this particular waitress. Chicken tenders were well seasoned and the onion rings were definitely good with the spicy ranch sauce.

I had my 30th here Saturday night, the party planner was super helpful, the serve we had blonde with tattoos she was the best she handled her whole shift without stressing even thought we were everywhere! The drinks and food were great! Only complaint is they need a new Saturday dj, music has no one dancing which is crazy for a young crowd. I requested one song for my birthday he never played it. My mother requested it as well and tipped and still never played it! Soo work on that.

Really large venue, like a concert venue without all the frills and uppity stuff. Just pure fun. In the front of the bar are pool tables, video games for adults, corn whole toss, and dancing music. Really great place. High Infidelity was the band playing, sounded great beautiful music. Acoustics were great.
Loving this place right now! Stopped for a quick glass of wine after work at 1030pm and so happy to find a place open. Live music outside excellent. Very friendly staff in and outside. Tables spaced and everyone having a good time. Really appreciate the good service and atmosphere.
I caught the 50 percent off deal and ordered 2 orders of wings (supposed to be 10 pieces in each order) and a salad. We decided to do curbside pickup and after we brought it home we noticed one order only had 9 wings and the other one had 8. We had planned on sharing the wings and getting 5 each. We called but nobody answered the phone. They only directed us to the website to order. I am never doing carryout again and they have lost my business! Very disappointed.
This place is so sketchy every time I’ve been there. We tried ordering and the waitress told us it was cash only, fine, so we asked where the ATM was and she said it wasn’t working, but she would check for us. Then she said we could just Quickpay her. Then as we were walking out she said that she would take our credit cards instead. Place is sketchy as hell. I get bad vibes from it.
Its a pretty good bar, it has pool and specials daily. I will be back, but its also one of the only bars in the area. The bands they have can be very good, and some big name performers have been here! Check out the schedule to find out when. The service is friendly, and quick! The food could be better, but some things are good.

Me and my boyfriend where there last night and got kicked out because of his shirt in the process of them kicking him out the bouncers pushed me to the ground. Absolutely disgusting and uncalled for. I will never be visiting this bar again

Krista took care of us on a Tuesday. She is the sweetest most thoughtful person ever. She had the whole floor and still made sure everyone was happy and had what they want. I make a point to come on Tuesday’s now just to see this amazing human!! If anyone comes please ask for Krista on Tuesday!
Second time Ive come here, and both times were for birthdays. The first time we didnt have a server show up and had to keep walking to the bar for drinks, after an hour a waitress came by and kept pestering us to buy her drinks. This time we waited 30 minutes for a waitress after going to the bar several times asking for someone. Bartenders were actively ignoring customers and only asked if i needed help when i was leaving. Several customers were trying to wave them down and they would look at the customer and walk away.When the food came out it was undercooked, served untimely, and they forgot 2 burgers in an order for 7 people. I recommend no one comes here. Between paying downtown cover charges to the rude service i i high recommend you go elsewhere.

Its a strip mall type bar and pool hall. Mixed crowd of local and young social people . There is large area outside at the moment its a popular place for a long time now.i have friends that like to go often even at off peak hours just to play pool..but the Covid situation has caused some slow down its picking back up as people find out about the outdoor covered seating area as well.
Usually great service. Tonight was an exception though. Still good good, good music, nice staff, cannot complain one bit! Always fun!
I went to Q Bar on a Thursday about three weeks after my 21st birthday, I showed my vertical drivers license to the person at the front and I was let in. I had a nice night with a friend, playing pool and beer pong. I showed one of the waiters my drivers license and ordered myself a drink. A week later, I invited my four friends to come out to Q Bar again. When we entered, I showed my vertical drivers license again (which expires in October) and the guy immediately jumps at me and says they can’t accept it. I told him I was here a week ago and I didn’t have any problems getting in. He got the manager and she said it has been more than 2 weeks after my birthday and that is plenty of time to go to the dmv and get a new drivers license. I wasted half an hour to drive to this bar when their policies among employees are not all the same. I don’t think they deserve the business of customers.
Good food and great atmosphere! I had the steak sandwich as a wrap because I have an egg allergy. They were very accommodating. The tator tots were good too. They have various foods to choose from. I cant wait to try other foods there next time. There is alot to do here too from billiards, darts, beer pong, bean bags, mini basketball game, and some arcade games.
Great place to hang or watch bands.

This is the second time weve been to this location for trivia night, and the second time weve received absolutely terrible service.The first time we had to chase our waitress down for waters, and we seemed to be inconveniencing her about getting us water. Not to mention, it was a hassle just to order food.The second (and last time) we went to this location we barely saw our server. Again, we had to chase our waitress down to even greet us and get us drinks when we sat down. She took our orders and it took the kitchen over 45 minutes to get us 2 orders of potato skins, a burger, and a wrap. Not only did it take forever, but my wrap came out completely wrong (server made excuses over how she didnt know her own menu) and each and every one of our meals was BURNT. The food was tasteless and overall just a real disappointment.I understand a slow kitchen, however, when your serving staff are completely incompetent on how to serve customers and then your kitchen completely burns our food on top of it, thats just terrible training and management.I loved the trivia night, however, I would never go to this location willingly outside of that.
Saw some bands play here and the sound was pretty good. They also had a good beer selection with a lot of craft stuff on tap and in bottles/cans. A little annoyed that that had a full bar set up in the room where the bands played, but didnt have it staffed with a bartender, so you had to go back into the main room too refill.
First I will start by saying that this place is much bigger than it looks like from the outside. They have a huge bar and an area that has indoor bean bag games and darts. They also have a separate room that is huge for bands that play there. Atmosphere in there was quite fun. Didnt try the food so cant comment on that.
Traveling with a group from out of town. The bouncer thought he was funny in giving all the guest a hard time for their out of town ID’s. Later in the evening, guests were rushed out for no apparent reason. The bouncer turned off the screen for golden tee with 1 hole to play, which was paid for (after he was rushing people to pay their tabs and we had already done so). It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a top priority. Rudeness and leaving was the priority of the staff. Take your business somewhere else where it is appreciated.Our group played pool for hours. When we were given our first pool cue, it was so distorted it couldn’t be played with. After returning it for another, the reaction was”oh yeah, this is bent, I can feel it”There was no welcoming qualities to this location. The drink specials were not worth the trouble incurred to enjoy the evening (no specials on an itimized $350 tab.) Avoid this dump and their terrible staff if you want eat to enjoy your evening.

Food was not bad for pub grub. Went to a concert here for High Infidelity. It was hard to hear as the sound guy had a lot of compression on the sound. The servers were very good just severely over worked. Management would be more successful if more staff was on hand.
Great food, good prices & awesome drink selections. I’ve come for night time bands and it’s good music and very lively crowd. Durning the day it’s good food, wide variety of TVs with sports and number one is the service. Love this place. I’ll definitely be returning more :)

Skip this place. I went to Q Bar for the first time recently and had a really terrible experience. To play pool we gave desk my drivers license to get the equipment. Upon returning the equipment the staff gave me the wrong license back. I told them immediately and they searched for mine again but concluded that they gave my license to the wrong person and then figured out that person left for night already. I drive for a living so not having my license is a big deal. I told them they have to get it back for me and they did not do anything except send the guy a Facebook message. I asked to speak to managers and days following could not get anyone to call or email me back. I had to miss a day of work and go to get a new license and they are now merely offering to send me a check for the license fee which was a few dollars. I spent all night stressed, had to file a police report and then spend another day at the DMV to resolve their mistake. Terrible customer service by the whole staff and manager Casey who has not been following up on any of this despite the rest of the staff saying that is the only person who could help us. I offered to drive to the other persons house to trade license or have the police look up their listed telephone number but no one from the staff has responded in over a week now. We paid a cover, had food and drinks for 3 there and all they could offer was refunding the few bucks it takes to apply at the DMV. This was 100% their fault and they are not interested in making it right.

This is my first and hopefully last negative review. Last time I was here was for a Bears game, the service was absolutely terrible. Actually let me be more clear, there WAS NO SERVICE! I came here with my gf and sat near the front entrance. I understand that it can be a little hard to see us, but others that sat next to us were helped before us and sitting and waiting for a FULL HOUR. I then asked the waitress to please stop by our table for our order, not once but TWICE!!! We had clearly made eye contact before this and she clearly saw us sitting there before this and she still did not stop by us. It was a busy day, but this does not excuse blatantly ignoring any customer. She could have at least stopped by and said they are backed up and would help us as soon as she could. Thats the Last visit I plan I having here. Im even a local to the neighborhood
Q Bar is tucked in the back of a shopping center, so it’s not all that welcoming from the street but it’s worth the stop.We stopped in a few times now to plan a party. The first time was an interesting for 2pm on a Saturday. A rather heated argument broke out between guys playing pool but nothing happened but some foul language. I don’t knock the bar but something folks should be aware of if you bring kids for lunch.The bar is huge with a lot of room to spread out with lots to do. There are billiards tables, giant jenga, food all, crane games and cornhole boards.We planned a party for 50 on a Saturday night and Sam and the party team were great to work with and very accommodating.Pricing was very fair and I didn’t feel like I was getting nickel and dimed. The food was really good and the staff kept the nacho bar filled and fresh over the course of the party. The Italian Beef spring rolls were amazing.
Great atmosphere for almost anyone. Great live music venue with local top talent shows every weekend. Local live DJs who always bring down the house on Thurs, Fri, and Saturdays. Tons of TVs to watch your favorite sporting events while enjoying a few cold ones and an excellent menu selection for a bar. Also theres plenty of activities to keep anyone from not having fun. Including multiple dart boards, Pop A Shot, 2 indoor sets of bean bags, a ton of professional grade billiards tables, life size jenga, and 5 slot machines in the gaming area. Q Bar is hands down the place to be when looking for a great night out.

This is really very nice bar. I went there for Super Bowl Party. It has nice foods and special prices for beers. But I wasnt happy that they didnt put captions on T.V. because it wasnt equipped with wiring captions despite over 25 deaf people were there. I am also deaf myself. In the Mens restroom, it was very dirty plus it had no hand soap at all.

This is one of the best bars I have ever been to. Not only does it have poker, it has trivia and great drink specials and a bowling video game. It also has a pool and a great staff. I will definitely coming back.
The drinks are basically water. I dont drink often so I can taste if a drink is strong. Music was so loud I had to scream to hear talk to my friends. The people there were super nice and welcoming though.

Horrible service! Wish I can give a negative 5 star! Rude server saying thats what happens when you have separate checks mind you we are on our lunch break & it takes 40 mins for our food. There was one 3 of us there. We got 1 menu... With my lunch special it was Talia & rice... They didnt have rice so I replaced it with fries. She said I needed to order a drink which I got water but that didnt count. Um yes I didnt give her a tip. This negative review is her tip!
I usually don’t use reviews to bash companies but Katrina is not a good manager at handling disagreements with customers that normally come here and tip well, I have never caused a problem here and the security is borderline racist. I come here about 3x a week, tip well & play darts basically I got spit on from a customer and just because they were women they automatically ignored everything I said and made a scene when I was the one who went to Management about how I was treated, no one acknowledged the fact I got spit on and continuously disrespected me by touching me, trying to grab my arm when I didn’t even order a drink yet & I asked why must I leave if I got spit on, no one told me to leave until the employee who acted as security put his hands on me I asked very nicely if you want me to leave call the police if someone doesn’t do anything wrong or if there’s no act of violence done why should I be treated this way? They refused to have the owner contact me and Katrina was more focused on the women statements over the actual situation that I got spit on and it’s unfair cause these women have never been there before. As I was leaving I left my phone inside and the same guy tried pushing me by my neck out the door and we got into a wrestling match afterwards I demanded call the f*cking police now and they wouldn’t they just locked the door & I had to wait till my friend came out with my phone. As a business if there’s no violent behavior why am I getting treated like a criminal for just trying to tell them what happened, I will never spend a dollar at this location again and they need to learn how to treat all races & gender equally simple!!!!!!
Great staff, varied draft beer selection with an extensive menu of bar eats, pool tables, and all around fun clientele. Definitely worth visiting. APA league play available as well.
Excellent staff and service, great food and drinks, plenty to do, there is something for everyone here, from live music, djs pool tables, foose ball, beer pong, bean bags, darts, dance floor, giant jenga, I can go on and on, very reasonable prices, especially for great food, not your average bar menu, actual great dishes I recommend the beef rolls absolutely wonderful, this is just an overall great place to go that will not disappoint anyone. Definitely will be back soon and looking forward to it !
Good music. Friendly people. And the resident DJ (DJ Filth) knows what to play and when to play it. People on the dance floor at all times. Plenty of free parking and plenty of sitting areas. They even have a party/banquet hall for private parties. This is a must go to if your in the area.

Its honestly insulting that I have to pay a cover to get in here, the only reason I go here is because it is right down the street. The bouncers are cool for the most part and the actual experience is not bad, but I honestly dont go much at all because of the cover on the weekends. Its ridiculous that they charge to get in given that they are a bar in the burbs

Have given them several chances over the past couple years, and we are disappointed each time. The meat is dry and sometimes not well spiced, and this past time gave both my wife and me very upset stomachs. Gave a couple stars for the cornbread, bacon mac, and hushpuppies.
Over priced (city price) drinks, good atmosphere. Also, they have corn hole boards with the WORST bags ever. My buddies and I used to come here all the time to play some bags but now they are garbage. Been this way a while.......buy new bags ffs.
Way too many people hugging, kissing , handshakes and ordering at the bar with no masks on. Staff has masks, but still serve people who dont bother wearing them and going by the rules.

Excellent time seeing Plainfield School of Rock! What a wonderful program for future musicians to be showcased! This venue is great, the food is great and drinks are great. Can even play some bags. Dont see that too often.
If youre going in just to have a drink, dont hesitate to ask the doorman nicely if hell waive the cover charge. It seems they really only aim to collect a cover from people going next door to see the band or DJ
Bartenders are so ignorant that they yell at you. One asked what we wanted and never gave it to us. She completely ignored us the entire night and strangers commented on why she didnt serve us, that they heard our entire order.
Terrible in almost every way. Staff was friendly but reaked of cigarettes. Food was average at best. To many items on the menu. Clearly they have never watched Bar Resuce. This place is in deep need of an overhaul.
I attended the Q-bar on March 29th 2014 as part of a private party. Their food spread was amazing, everything was delicious, clean and well prepared. I highly recommend using the Q Bar for that purpose. Part of our party was to see our favorite band perform, and because we had pre-arranged rides and were celebrating a great event, the goal was to get super drunk. Getting a drink was a difficult proposition. More than 3 times I had to wait 10 minutes or more just to get a beer. We had a server assigned to us, but whenever I ordered a drink from her, I would not get it. This happened twice. It turns out after talking to other people there, that she just took 20 minutes to bring it, she would leave it on the table and someone else would swipe it before we got back from cheering at the stage. All I knew at the time was that there were 2 drinks I never received that I was billed for. When I addressed my issue to the management, they insisted that they were correct, and I was wrong. They told me that because I had been drinking, that means I lost the ability to count, they also lied and told me our server couldnt bill us for drinks, even though my girlfriend only ordered drinks through her, which we were billed for just fine. I talked to 2 levels of management and they handled what should have been a very easy issue to solve, with complete contempt for their customers. They acted as though consuming alcohol made us bad people, and untrustworthy. So next time you are looking to consume overpriced beers at a Bar in Darien, consider someplace other than the Q Bar, because to the management you are just a walking wallet, theyll serve you only when its convenient for them, and if you have a discrepancy with your bill they will tell you how you cant count because youve been drinking, and I think their attitude is terrible.

Kid sundays....... this is not the place to be on a sunday afternoon with kids running wild. Trying to play darts and bags having kids running between really sucks. They wont honor sunday food special because of a event going on, even though having nothing to do with the event. Disappointed with this experience.
This place has everything you could want at any bar. Indoor bags, outdoor area, giant jenga, beer pong, and pool tables. If you want it in a bar they have it. Great place to see bands or go for a live DJ. Highly recommend this bar

All kinds of fun bar games to keep guests entertained. There is an endless menu that serves every bar food imaginable. The only thing I think I had an issue with was the service. It was quite slow and staff didnt seem to care that I was sitting there.
I cant believe that they didn’t get me in because my ID was vertical. They don’t even wanted to look on date of birth. Never gonna return to this place don’t recommend to anyone.
Good bar pool tables, but the music is club level loud. You have to shout at people right next to you.

It was okay, a lot of games; gambling games, pool, ski ball, golf and many others. The doorman this notify us that it was cash only which I was a little disappointed but at least they told us at a time.
My band plays here all the time huge bar great service has a separate side for the band if you want to get away you can go to the other side or not deal with the dance clubbers on the other side and hang out on the rock side
Loved this place since my early 20s. Pool tables are well kept, drinks are reasonably priced, and the food quality is good for the price.

Just had the carnitas, and omg.... Found out the angel that made them is named Francisco, he deserves a raise. They were perfect! Would definitely eat anything he cooks.

$5 pool on Sundays all day. My husband and I like to go here rarely. Sometimes it gets a little loud withthe football games going on and the amount of alcohol that is being consumed. Everyone is generally very friendly, but we try and pick a table far from the bar so its not as crazy.

Thank you for hosting the School of Rock performances this weekend.We ordered burgers and sandwiches for the kiddos. Our order was a little late, and made one of the burgers with the wrong cheese. To make up for it they comped us a burger!

I go there every once in a while to play pool, finally I’ve had enough to never go back. Prices aren’t great, the staff are terrible. They charge a cover for basically nothing. Well that’s all I got.

2021-12-01Went here with some of my friends over Thanksgiving break and we had a great time. Lots of pool tables and other fun games to kill the time. Music was good and the whole atmosphere of the bar was good.

These are cool if you are into that type of thing. I personally go there just to have a bite or even to play some pool.They have a back room with a stage and large bar that I’m sure could accommodate a significant amount of people for private events. There make-shift outdoor area is perfect for a smoker, but not the nicest place to spend the whole night.The bathrooms were semi-clean, but exactly what I expected.The only thing that was a surprise was what seemed like a few extra staff members that seemed to casually lounge around. But unlike all the other places short staffed from covid it seems like this one was heavy on the staff.Another odd thing now that I think about it , There were food runners that clearly hated their job and wore this feeling loudly.I would highly recommend this place for the pool and everything else is just extra perks.

2022-04-09If I could I would give you a 0 stars. Was racially discriminated. My friend and I walked in with showing our IDs. The rest of our group? Got asked for 3 FORMS OF ID. The race card is never the first accusation brought up. We waited and watched. We saw them let every other party go in with just a regular ID. The ones they stopped? BLACK GROUPS. I have EVERYTHING on video. I will do everything to get the video out virally. I have never witnessed anything more racist. A group of white males behind us LEFT from just seeing the whole situation! Called them racist and told them they weren’t supporting a business like them!! This is so sad I’ve given my support to qbar for a long time being a local resident. THE SAD PART IS YOU COULD SEE IN THEIR FACE ON VIDEO that they were wrong. Asked several customers from the outside if they asked for the same three forms of identification, or course they all said no. Seen over 5 black groups turn around and leave.. just sad and racist.

2022-04-17If there was 0 Stars for this place that’s what I would rate it as. Please be cautious when dinning here, they have roaches. Was at the bar having drinks with a friend and then we decided to place an order for food , I did. A few minutes after placing my food order I a roach was on my hand and I brushed it off and I immediately waived the bartender down and advise her of the issued and to cancel my food order. She didn’t seem to be worried about the roaches crawling or having roaches at all. She took it as it was a normal thing. I advised her we were leaving and to cash me out, she didn’t even apologize for the disgusting inconvenience or state that she can take care of my drink tab due to the nasty disgusting issue.
